Our supposed disagreement presumably lies in the following line about him LICKING THAT DAMN CAT !!! But it's not a disagreemnt actually (not that you seem to care much about disagreeing with it anyway BTW youre so real for that) and I can explain.

My formal professional Yajirobe Opinion is that: he consistently refers to Korin as "karin-sama" in the japanese dub and that honorific I think is a constant reminder of the discrepancy between the two's status and furthermore Yajirobe is not capable of romance so i dont think tht he could gay marry the cat sorry .. But i have a lot of thoughts about what I just said. A story is worth telling if you want to tell it and when you borrow character already pre-established in something in order to tell it, well it's a bit of a situation becasue now you have to conform to the original author's writing of the characters otherwise what's the point of borrowing them ... I think ... And that's always been the line for me: whether it's feasibly in-character or not .. otherwise it feels weird and makes me a bit sick (PERSONAL FEELINGS NOT A JUDGEMENT) . .. If you can make something seem in-character or CONVINCE YOURSELF THAT IT IS then a story passes. Otherwise I'd prefer that one be honest about their intentions and admit outright something like "yeah this is out of character but I'm projecting and have a vested interest in telling these sorts of events" or something. And that's totally fine like i dare not cast taboo onto the indomitable human spirit

Reading your post on writerly endurance reminded me of something that I heard recently in a Lunch-And-Learn the Graphic Designers at my company put on. Namely, that as much of a bad rap as Comic Sans gets, using it as your font when you're writing can help overcome writers block. (Possibly because it's less formal/official looking?)

Is this something you've ever tried, and if so, do you think it worked for you? (I'm currently trying with a similar font, but it's a bit early for me to say thus far.)

For me I confess it's never been about font or taking what's written in a word processor app too seriously (I've heard some writers from the pre-computer era find word processing apps look too "finished" to them because you used to have to type everything up when it was done but as a baby of the first generation of home computers, that's never been a problem for me. Writing by hand is my nemesis). I've seen others talk about those things but never followed up on if they worked for them if or if it was just a cool idea people bat around.

(I think there's a lot of silly writing advice out there aimed at people who just don't want to write or are blocked, which is very understandable because when you're desperate you're desperate. But stuff like "Change font! Do jumping jacks! Stand on your head! Go to Mark Twain's house and commune with his ghost, sit at his desk!" stuff always seemed, eh, wishful thinking at best? It might work for someone but everyone's process is so unique that I side-eye it as general advice.)

For me the process things that help are 1) not taking the story too seriously 2) writing through the crap part to get to the other side (takes time, though, worth mentioning for CLWM readers, I hope to finish digging through cement with a spoon on the next chapter for that today) 3) having very specific Apple earbuds (with cords!) in. Whether or not they're playing music. Dunno, just feels weird for me to write without those earbuds in unless I'm very in the zone. It's also harder for me to write without my very specific laptop keyboard but I feel like with no other option I could get over that speedbump in a pinch.

"you wound me." he says with a chuckle.

you push his shoulder, trying to raise the mood. "be nice to zhongli, and i won't have to."

there's a brief silence. ajax clearly doesn't like the idea, but he agrees anyways and drops his chin atop your head. he's not moving -- he must be glaring at zhongli over your head again.

We have quite a number of moments in our journey with Gavin... Some are funny, some are cute, some are...mmm over the edge

If you ask me whether Gavin is a jealous man, I would give you two answers:

1) Pre and early relationship... Absolutely!

2) Established relationship... The fitting colloquial term is "territorial".

In order to look at Gavin's attitude towards other males and whether to categorize them as jealous behaviour or not, first we need to describe jealousy .

Jealousy generally refers to the thoughts or feelings of insecurity, fear, and concern over a relative lack of possessions or safety.

The word stems from the French jalousie, formed from jaloux (jealous), and further from Low Latin zelosus (full of zeal), in turn from the Greek word ζήλος (zēlos), sometimes "jealousy", but more often in a positive sense "emulation, ardour, zeal" (with a root connoting "to boil, ferment"; or "yeast").

As you can see, there are different set of emotions that might boil or ferment the reaction of jealousy in one's belly.

My personal take on this is that jealousy arises from two simple things 1) Lack of self-confidence 2) Lack of trust towards one's partner (in terms of romantic jealousy). You don't get jealous when you know you're one hell-of-a-mate and are with the right person. Which is why as we will see in a minute Gavin fits the bill at the beginning but afterwards his jealousy isn't actually jealousy at all!

So which sets of emotions lead to his jealous behaviour and in which conjuncture?

We know that Gavin is completely attuned to MC. This also applies for his reaction towards the presence of other guys around her. So the type of jealousy he displays is attuned to MCs type of reaction to the source of his jealousy. He observes MCs aura and attitude carefully and then reacts in an either desirous, protective, territorial or downright pouty manner.

If he sees the person is overstepping their boundaries like TNTs Tyson or the guys catcalling her during Romantic Date, he gets protective. If he sees someone from his inner cycle being only the slightest overfamiliar with MC as in his phone call with Eli, he gets territorial and draws boundaries. If he gets ditched by MC and walks on her having lunch with another guy all the while she's being touched by him and she's not showing any protest, he pouts in the corner and stabs MC with his words "Too much of anything can get boring after a while" (love this moment and how Joe delivers this line with a strong tonation on the word - boooring-)

If he sees the person is actually drawing MCs attention, well... This is where we can look more into. Because this is actually a stereotypical example of making one jealous. Seeing your love interest with another person in an over-friendly manner.

In Trio Date, he worries that MC might have a crush on Kiro and a close relationship with him. Which is understandably an alarming situation for him, because he isn't that close to her himself and Kiro is... well... Kiro. Pretty much everyone's into him 🌟. But Gavin doesn't show any aggression or envy towards Kiro. On the contrary, he praises him for his charm and even says that he can see what people mean by that as in confessing to being charmed by Kiro himself. I really praise how elegant Gavin acts in the face of this situation 👑 Needless to say, it's a Gavin date, meaning the canon couple in this scenario is Gavin x MC (On a side note pretty bold and disrespectful of PG to put another LI in the supporting male role in a date for another tbh) And also RIP Chandler, the poor guy didn't do anything wrong ^_^

At this point I need to let one thing out of my chest though. I can't say that I appreciate him telling MC when and where to wear revealing clothes <spoiler alert> only for him. Even though we don't actually see him seriously forbidding her to wear them I think it would be better to leave her be the judge of it. But considering the fact that she gets catcalled even at his presence I can kinda see why Gavin gets protective here. On a side note, his girlfriend isn't better on this matter either. MC covers Gavin's body at the beach during 2021 summer event in CN server so that other girls don't drool over him 🤣 These two have some homework to do in that department I tell you that 😅

In the more mature phases of their relationship, we no longer see Gavin feeling himself threatened by the presence of another male. AT ALL! All Gavin jealousy after this point is only because someone is overstepping their boundaries and making "his girl" uncomfortable.

Gavin might be the one acting jealous the most frequently among the LIs, but he never ever gets possessive over her, limits her freedom or makes unconfirmed self proclaims on behalf of her. Being possessive over someone objectifies them and the moment you objectify a person, you no longer need to be in a relationship with them tbh. Leaving your partner room to breathe and respecting their personal space is important and Gavin does this the best alongside with Kiro. We also never see Kiro getting possessive, limiting or doing anything of that nature with MC.

Further in their relationship Gavin still acts jealous, but in an extremely cute, pure and harmless way. Be it against prankster ghosts, animals she's met in the middle of the desert, a wild child, service dogs, birds and co. Basically anyone and anything that diverts her attention from him for more than a nanosecond can be perceived as a threat but an adult male 😂At his core, Gav-babe wants MC all for himself but his jealousy is actually only adorkable.

In the main story, however, there is a certain LI which becomes the magnet for Gavin's firsthand jealousy and even kinda provokes this. And this is actually what I am dying to write about in this post😈. It only happens at the beginning of the story, but I love it so much and therefore it must be in this post.

Gavin shows signs of jealousy towards one particular LI at various occasions and that is...

Gavin shows obvious signs of jealousy towards our genius scientist and that is completely understandable! Lucien is the one who makes his advances first and is the most straightforward one throughout the main story. Plus, he lives right next to MC and, let's be honest here, is the only one who toys with MC's poor hormones the most. Just to give one example:

Gavin and MC don't become quite a couple before CH12 and S1 Gavin has some issues with self-worth and confidence (towards MC). When he meets MC again after 6 years, he is perplexed and is fairly clueless as to how to approach her romantically. Lest Gavin making the wrong moves, he acts weirdly around MC which further confuses her. Gav-babe is really weird at the beginning of the story 😅

The first time we see Gavin getting jealous about Lucien is in CH2, when he and MC spend a prolonged period of time for the first time as they investigate the time warping incident. Our birdcop is hopelessly in love with MC so when he sees her become so red on the phone with another person, he gets worked up.

The second instance is when MC spends two nights in a row with Lucien in CH5 and then falls asleep in her office.

It is crucial to remember at this point that up to CH5, MC seems to be most romantically involved with Lucien and spends most of her time with him. LuLu mercilessly teasing her and flirting with her doesn't help much in that sense either because he is actively making advances on her. Thus announcing his candidacy for "Mr. Love". So when Gavin catches MC spending nights following Lucien, having phone calls with him, living right next door to him, working closely with him and blushes because of him, it's fairly understandable that our birdcop gets fairly jealous because at that point in the story Lucien seems to have a better shot at love with her than he does.

Btw, MC flatlines on his question as to who is the resource of her flustering this time around and doesn't explain herself ;)

Interestingly though, in the third instance, where Gavin sees MC and Lucien, he isn't jealous at all! In the famous "Rude Awakening" moment, the vibes we get at first is as if Gavin walks in to MC and Lucien. But actually our protective boyfriend is there to save MCs life. What's more, he doesn't give credit to Lucien's provocations, such as when he calls Gavin "dangerous" or pulls MC behind him, stays extremely close to her and plays the "protective boyfriend" in front of him. On Gavin's defense, the one actually saves MCs life and protects her is Gavin here as he deflects the bullet shot at her.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Furthermore, he asks Lucien to take MC home, albeit not before telling her that he will be contacting her later, signaling to Lucien that he shouldn't stick along for long. A highly subtle way of "marking his territory", much like a wolf would. God I love this scene both in the main story and in the anime.

It is necessary to mention at this point that the chapter following this scene revolves around Gavin and MC clearing all kinds of misunderstandings between them and MC trying to bind with him. Hence laying the first stones in the temple of their relationship. After that point we no longer see Gavin showing any kind of jealousy towards anyone. So mark CH7 people ;)

You know what I would love to see? Gavin getting jealous over Shaw. I wonder whether he even knows that MC spends time with him 🤔 Too bad that PG has left the idea "brother conflict".

So ive got an idea for a self-made bonus chapter! It involves rider, the s4 and some lore i have for him and his relations to them

Gonna put a cut since it miiight get lengthy, but this is the idea for it!

Btw, theres a certain headcannon of mine that goes with this, and its used in a fic i made! I'll link it down in the replies. It's not necessary, but you can read it to get a better idea of the tension that goes on in this idea!

So its post octo expansion arc, pre ranked arc. Army isn't bee hurt yet and Rider has just come back to the turf scene with yg team. When the s4 show up at the square individually with their teams, they notice a lot of whispers about Rider going around. Nothing that tells directly what's going on, but he will be having a team fight against some newbies later, so the s4 decide they'd sit in to see what's going on with him. The most they bet is that he's got a new trick up his sleeve!

Cut to a turf battle between team hachi and yg team, and the s4 are all shocked to see that rider has a pretty gnarly injury, the sanitizer scar. At the stage they see him, it's barely healed and he's playing more backline than up front, and his aim is most certainly not at it's usual sharpness (tho this aim is only noticable to their trained eyes, most would barely pick this up.) He might even be blind on that side now, but none of them can tell for sure.

Army, aloha, and mask, having previous history with rider, go and try to confront rider about his injuries on their own terms, which he, still rightfully mad about what they did to him, refuses to elaborate on. They pester until the three end up pestering together, then subsequently get yelled at by rider, and told along the lines of "why the hell should any of you care anyways?! Be glad one of your rivals got a handicap!" And tries to leave after that.

But of course the three still follow, having not been told and still concerned for him, especially since the tips of his tentacles are starting to turn the color of his wound. They end up trailing him to a stage not in rotation (maybe even a fest stage) and that's when Rider’s upset enough for something strange to happen - the wound glows and a special immediately ignites from the stress he feels.

"You want to know what happened to me so bad? Fine!"

And this is when the three suddenly find themselves engaging in an inner agent 3 esque battle, Rider’s limit with specials still not fixed. The three just barely dodge his splashdown, and his flings with a hero roller are faster than even mask can swing a carbon roller, not to mention if anybody tries to hit him he's rolling out of the way with a speed hard for even aloha to match.

What's clear to them now is that rider has very much never gotten over the hurtful things they said when their relationship as a team had been ended, and whatever is happening with him now is not helping those feelings! They try to stop him, and survive an inkjet phase, but army is taken out by bomb rush, mask is taken out by bubbles, and Aloha, who coincidentally was the closest to rider (and worst to rider at the time, who's words cut him the deepest), is left desparately dodging the consecutive splashdowns.

The other two had tried to apologize, and that was when they got got, and as aloha dodges he can no longer hold up a cool boy facade and is forced to confess that he had always regretted what he said back then; that he hated how he ended up hurting him and always wished things could go back to how they were, just healthier this time.

Aloha then survives a dead hit splashdown by using his baller, and grabs onto rider in an attempt to make him stop. He does stall for this moment, seeming to listen to aloha for a moment.

After that, a sniper shot hits rider in the face and it's enough to put a stop to the rampage. Skull's here, and he comments that it looked like they needed help - he was here the whole time, he just needed a good opportunity to get a direct hit and didn't want to get involved in being chased with specials.

Despite this, as army and mask get up from being knocked out and aloha carries rider, Skull explains he asked hachi about rider on a hunch and learned what happened in the deep sea, and that the wound is fresh and bothers him still. Oh, and he put salt water in that snipe shot because he remembers that was an old remedy avi's mom used to use for washing dirt out of scrapes, and figured it might do something to help.

The three thank skull for the save and get rider to his house, making sure he gets some proper rest while skull continues to use that remedy to attempt to fix Rider’s wound (and it does a good deal of help, actually! The sanitizer retreats more towards his eye.)

And of course, when rider wakes he and his old teammates have a proper discussion relating to what happened, and somewhat mend things back on good terms whilst aloha does some minor fixing of his gal, because that also barely survived the fight. He gets sad over his busted keychain that suffered that last splashdown, and rider offers to fix it (meaning he had glue) but that's how aloha convinces him to do the wahoo world thing. So yeah! Thats how you get costume arc.

Of course, they all are a bit different from their old selves, bur things are looking up and everyone's happier with being on better terms than before.

heard from your mother au - The Ripple Effect

this is my early birthday gift for @schmuzz1 Ever heard of the ripple effect? you probably did but let's go over it once more; the ripple effect is like if you took a rock and threw it into a lake. Where the rock would hit and sink a ripple would be created, and from there it would only grow bigger and bigger, taking over more space, until the water settles again.

HFYM is the ripple effect ficsonified. The premise is simple, for those who watched the episode Despair in the last season of Supernatural. Castiel confesses his love to Dean, gets taken by the Empty. He wakes up in 2003 in a motel room, without his memories and only a memory saying “Don’t do this, Cas” which helps him figure out his name is Cas, and that he’s a hunter. Simple.

Then he meets Dean.

Now, we’ve all read various pre-series fics, haven’t we? It’s a token when giving fans a time-gap that we don’t know much about, they’d try to fill it as best as their imagination limitations will help them. So what is so special about HFYM?

In a word; Cas.

Meet this angelic being, who without his memories fully believes his humanity, and drives around the US not looking for answers, exactly, but just trying to help out to the best of his ability. By putting Cas in a setting pre-series, and letting the readers know that this Cas is their Castiel, the story already kicks into gear with a race to see when and how Cas will affect the story.

We didn’t know about angels until season 4. We didn’t THINK there was a better way to kill demons other than the Colt until season 3. Characters and themes that we would’ve taken years to get to know in the show are being used and constantly appear throughout what HFYM would call season 0 (or is that just me? make some noise). But Cas changes all of that just by being. For this next part, I recommend you stop reading this post if you haven’t read this fic, go read it in its entirety, and come back here after you’re done and had time to adjust.

We good? Good.

Pamela Barnes, the love of my life and a five-episode cameo in the Supernatural show. In HFYM, she acts as Cas’ best friend most of the time, teaching him the highs (hehe) and lows of having what they all figure is a really developed psychic ability. Bringing Pamela in chapter 16 was not only a brilliant use of character but a ripple effect. But I get ahead of myself. To understand why Pamela is suddenly there, we need to identify the biggest ripple of them all; Dean fucking Winchester.

Dean and Cas, from the start, develop a sort of kinship. It’s reminiscent of their first meeting in Lazarus Rising, where Castiel rescues Dean but also has its own charm. Here, Cas has no idea he’s an angel, and that’s why humanity is so strange to him. Dean views Cas as a weirdo that is not to be trusted, and later as a weirdo that he can kinda trust but make sure to watch his back around him.

In a way, they’re mirrors. Cas’ effortless way of creating acquaintances highlights just how isolated Dean is from people because of John’s influence. Whenever they’re together, Dean finds himself surrounded by others too, but apart it’s clear that Cas (to much of my, and probably his, surprise) is the social one.

Quoting the fic tags: “like maybe if he [Pre-series Dean Winchester] got a boyfriend he would have calmed down” is the very abstract explanation of the ripple effect. By being isolated for so long, without even Sam to keep him company, Dean couldn’t develop properly, resulting in the Dean we get in season 1. But ripples (courtesy of Cas) reach him and that’s where it all comes together. By meeting Cas pre-series Dean is given two things; one, no more isolation, time to grow sunshine. Two, a romantic subplot.

Now I don’t know how much you know about media - but romantic subplots are usually very character forwarding if done right. The best thing about the romantic subplot in HFYM is that it’s not immediate. Fuck no. It’s built on months of friendship and a bond forged in hunting, in putting each other’s lives in the other’s hands like it’s nothing. When they finally get together (I did the math, they get together when the story is like, halfway over. 52% to be exact) it makes sense because you watched them forge the bond and thus pushing their character development further. Romantic subplots are one of the best ways to push a character to their limits (looking at you, chapter 49) and then break those limits. So the biggest ripple was basically Cas and Dean thinking “huh, lemme smooch” and then doing it instead of eye fucking for twelve years.

But that’s not what I’m talking about, exactly. The biggest ripple effect that Cas did with Dean is that when season 1 starts (did I mentioned this was a canon rewrite? We love multitasking), when Dean goes to get Sam for Jericho and everything is put into hyperdrive, Dean is different. It affects how people around him act, especially Sam. The first season is very Sam-driven, but the main character will be changed by changing the “supporting” cast. It doesn’t help that Cas ripple effect number 2932#: Save Jess has definitely quelled the grief-rage thing that Sam has going on in canon since she’s not gone, and is actually around them for a while before leaving to work with Bobby and Jo. Sam immediately notices that something’s different about Dean, but he can’t put a finger on it. Requoting tags: “he would have calmed down”. Gone is the aimless rage and loss that makes him reckless and drinking too much. Gone are the women chasing days because he’s in a committed relationship. Heck Dean has a bit of self-esteem now, having bagged that (points at frog-shirt wearing Cas) and it affects the story in the way he and Sam interact.

Sam can feel that Dean’s hiding something from him (Cas) and it makes a rift between them because he doesn’t get who’s this hunter Dean hangs out with that is definitely replacing Sam in Dean’s eyes - the same guy who used weird powers to save Jess from a demon. Dean is still hurt over Sam leaving for Stanford and anxious about him finding out about Cas and John and everything. Basically, take season 1 brother dynamics and throw a live grenade in the mix. That grenade is Cas, btw.

Ripples, man.

Cas affects the story - he gets Dean to get back in touch with Bobby because he’s looking for an explanation for why he heals from mortal wounds like it’s nothing, why he doesn’t need sleep, and why he’s never hungry. Bobby connects Cas to Pamela, thinking Cas is an odd psychic, and Pamela becomes inherently important in the way that she helps Cas control his powers and provides his first real… non-platonic experience (off-screen, dw they’re friends) that later helps him discern what Dean is to him. Through Bobby, he also meets Ellen and Jo, in the Roadhouse. He goes on hunts alone, and finds a knife that helps him save a possessed girl named Taylor who is later a part of an actual episode (Hookman) and there’s recognition, she’s not just a standby person and that connects with Jess’ storyline, that connects with Sam’s storyline that connects with Dean’s storyline. By being him, Cas creates ripples everywhere he touches because he’s not supposed to be there.

The otherwise undisturbed surface is broken because Cas is there to break it and create ripples that connect with each other, all unknowingly, and the way it’s constructed is incredible.

I could add more about Dean’s bisexuality journey or realization, or how lack of trauma makes Cas a lot more narrative-free but it could all come crashing down on him if he remembers the past, or how Sam and Jess are so interesting like yes girl flesh out the revenge reason we see in three episodes, but this is getting long and I could always make new posts about this fic that I love so much.

“Oh, come in, it’s freezing outside!” you grasped Draco’s shivering figure lightly by the shoulder and ushered him into your apartment, dusting the snow off of his hair and his shoulders as he placed his hands over his nose to warm it up, “Sorry I made you wait so long in the cold, I couldn’t hear you knocking in the kitchen.”

“No worries,” he shrugged off his coat and hung it by the door as you locked it shut, “I’m indoors now and that’s what matters.”

He smiled at you, the fluttering in your heart already beginning at the gesture. He removed his gloves and placed them in his coat pockets, proceeding to remove his shoes, kicking the snow off of them and nearly placing them by the doorway, a proper habit of his. He never left anything scattered anywhere.

“Something smells good,” he stepped off the carpet with his emerald green wool socks and closer to the fireplace in the living room, placing his hands in front of it and warming them up, “What’re you making?”

You flushed, pointing to the kitchen counter, “Christmas cookies. They’re my mum’s recipe. It’s a family tradition. I kind of need that, especially this time of year.”

Draco senses the sadness in your tone, stepping away from the fireplace and pulling you into a hug, “I know. I’m sorry. I’m here for you, though.” You could feel the warmth on him from having stood by the fireplace seconds before, but it was comforting. Despite having the fire going, you were still cold.

In the aftermath of the Second Wizarding War, you felt like you had lost everything. You had spent all of your years in Hogwarts learning how to be the best possible witch you could be, but when faced with the actual dangers that lurk in the magical world, you struggled coming to terms with what happened.

You felt like you owed your life to Draco, in a way. Neither of you were overly close in school, but he had saved you from a curse when you found yourself otherwise distracted. After that, you couldn’t let him leave your life. After all; how are you supposed to forget someone who saved you?

His company was comforting, safe, and a reminder of how precious and important every moment in life was. He brought you happiness and you did the same for him — there was no doubt about that. Every time he was over, you would forget about the outside world and solely focus on him in that moment. Whether you were watching a film, making dinner, cleaning, it didn’t matter. When he was in your presence, he was all you could focus on.

He would stop by your place nearly five times a week. You both dealt with so many mental and emotional traumas post-war, and your found comfort in each other. To the point that you’d find yourself missing him mere seconds after he left. He’d leave in the evening after spending the day with you and you’d find yourself going to bed wishing he was closer to you.

Safe to say, you’re in love with him.

You pulled away from the hug and nudged your head in the direction of the kitchen, “Do you wanna make them with me?”

He tilted his head to the side, furrowing his eyebrows, “Are you sure? I don’t want to impose on a family tradition.”

“You’re not! I’m all alone, come with me,” you linked your hand in his and led him into the kitchen, where the dough was complete and the cookie cutters were messily thrown around the counter, “Put on an apron.”

He chuckled and looked over to where you kept the aprons hung, “Hm, I’ve got an option to wear one with little blue flowers, or one with yellow butterflies. Well, I think the blue flowers bring out my eyes.” He joked, pulling the one with the flowers off the hook and putting it on, twirling as if to model it. Somehow, even in a silly apron, he was the most breathtaking person you had ever seen.

“You look quite dashing,” you grinned, looking him up and down. He always had looked really good. Even when you were a young Hufflepuff, Draco’s natural charm and suave attitude had caught your attention.

“So do you,” he pointed to your apron, the giant red letters saying ‘kiss the chef’ written across it, “Very fashionable.”

The heat rose to your cheeks at his teasing smirk — you had forgotten about the childish words written on apron you were wearing. In hindsight, considering your feelings for Draco, this might not have been the best apron to wear.

“Just come help me bake,” you shook your head to sway from the playful conversation, moving over to give him some counter space next to you, “You do know how to bake the muggle way, right?”

He gazed off at the wall as if trying to remember before he nodded slowly, “Actually, yes, believe it or not. Made some with mum many years ago.” You noticed the sad smile he gave you, your beard aching for him. He had a falling out with his parents after the War and he hated talking about them. It was your ultimate goal to avoid mentioning them, so you took control of the conversation once more.

“Here,” you handed him a Christmas tree cookie cutter to bring him back to reality, “Make some trees.”

He chuckled, taking out a bit of the dough and rolling it in his hands, laying it out in the floury mess that was taking over the counter, “What shape do you have?”

You did the same, rolling a ball of dough and laying it out flat on the countertop, “Reindeer. Oh — and I have the best icing colours.”

“Well guess I’ll have to stuck around and you’ll have to show me these icing colours to prove your point,” he smirked, slowly beginning to produce some Christmas tree shaped cookies, placing them gently on the cooking tray you had placed in front of the both of you.

You flushed again, focusing your energy on cutting the cookies perfectly in attempts to not become too overwhelmed by the way he seemed to effortlessly flirt. Was he just always a natural flirt? You kind of hope he meant it, but you wouldn’t admit that out loud. Somehow, baking was becoming more of an intimate moment shared between you two and you never wanted it to end.

After filing up the tray, you placed it in the pre-heated oven and closed the door, marking the timer and grabbing another empty tray, “What shape do you want now? I’ve got snowmen, snowflakes, Santa hats... anything you can think of.”

You placed the tray down on the counter and pushed the box of cookie cutters in his direction, giggling slightly at the way his eyes widened.

“How many cookie cutters do you have? Bloody hell,” he chuckled, taking some of them out and analyzing them with a hint of amusement in his eyes, “Oh, wait. I like this one.”

“The cat shaped one? It’s not even Christmassy!” you laughed, rummaging through them as well and pulling out the Santa hat shaped one for yourself.

“I can make it Christmassy with your ever-so-colourful icing,” he winked at you, sending your heart into a frenzy. You momentarily forgot how to breathe.

He retuned to rolling the dough as of unaware of his affect on you. His usually tidy platinum hair was hanging in his forehead, lose stands dangling as he continued to cut the cat-shaped cookies, eyebrows furrowed in concentration in attempts not to mess up the shapes. You were worried he wasn’t enjoying himself, but every time he placed a new cat-shaped cookie on the tray, he’s grin proudly, telling you that he was in fact having a good time.

You were so distracted by his good looks that you almost forgot you were making cookies as well.

“Alright, done!” he clapped his hands, flour clouding off of them and into his hair and face. You stopped your cutting, clutching your stomach in laughter as he tried to wipe the flour off of him, coughing as it went up his nose, but making it way worse. Smears of white flour were now in his hair, cheeks, and nose.

“Priceless,” you struggled to catch your breath while laughing, lifting your hand to wipe even more flour across his nose, laughter not dying down when he turned to glared at you.

“How dare you,” he scowled, struggling to hide his own laughter, “That’s not fair. I have to retaliate.”

You stopped laughing, trying your best to give him a stern look, “How? I already did all the messy work. Can’t catch me off guard.” Placing your hands on your hips to emphasize your point, his eyes darted around your kitchen in search of something to do. You had thankfully put away the eggs and milk and other ingredients, so unless he went searching through your fridge and pantry, he wouldn’t find anything else to douse you with.

“Can’t catch you off guard?” he scoffed, stepping closer to you, “I beg to differ.”

You nearly choked on your breath from the immediate closeness, his body heat enveloping you to the point where you weren’t sure if you were warm because of him or because your nervous heart was thundering away.

You could smell him — the mixture of mint and cookie dough was intoxicating. He had always smelled good, but it took your breath away every time.

“How so?” your voice was soft, luckily covering the nervous tone. You wanted him to kiss you, to pull you close to his body and hold you forever. His hugs had always been unmatched, you could only imagine how good his kisses were.

Fortunately, your thoughts were confirmed as he leaned down and whispered, “Like this.”

His eyes fluttered shut and he placed his lips against yours, kissing you as if he had been waiting to do so for years. As if you were everything he ever needed. You kissed back immediately, melting into his touch and becoming weak in the knees. You felt like you were floating; the feeling of his lips against yours was unreal. He was loving, gentle, everything you thought he’d be.

You couldn’t help but feel as if everything you had been waiting for had come into play. You pined for him, longed for him, and you finally got to have the connection you had been waiting for. You’d never admit to him, but you had imagined what it would be like to kiss him. You’ve imagined the feeling of his lips moving in sync with yours, passion overcoming the two of you like a tidal wave. It was safe to say it was way better than you’d imagined.

His hands gripped your waist lightly as he broke the kiss, his flour-covered face smirking down at you, “Caught you off guard yet?”

You smiled, breathless, “Y—Yeah, I’d say.”

He kissed your nose lightly, shooting your a wink and turning back to continue the cookies you hadn’t cut due to your distractions. You felt frozen in your place, as if the events that just unfolded couldn’t register in your mind.

He had just kissed you. Kissed you.

“What’s wrong, love?” he chuckled, turning to face you with a knowing smirk after he cut the rest of the cookies, holding the pan in his hand to place in the oven.

“You kissed me,” you said, sounding exhilarated. You thought you sounded pathetic but your mind felt so distant and afar that you couldn’t mask a calm tone of voice.

He placed the cookie tray down, “That I did. I’ve been waiting to do that for a while, actually. Don’t laugh, but I’ve always fancied you. You’re so sweet, just incredible. And you’ve let me into your life, making me the luckiest person ever.” He had said it so casually, but his eyes held every bit of sincerity. He gazed down at you with a level of adoration you had never seen before.

“You have?” you gaped, heart still aflutter in your chest, “I—I’ve been waiting for you to do it too, actually. Almost did it myself a few times. I’ve fallen for you, and laugh if you want, but I’m so relieved you finally did that.”

He was now positively beaming. He placed his hands on either side of your face and leaned in to kiss you again.

Nearly an hour later, all the cookies were baked and you were comfortably nestled on the couch. The fireplace was warm, the blanket surrounding the two of you was soft, and the plate of cookies on the table in front of you was delicious.

You were reading a book silently, leaned up against Draco’s chest as he twirled a strand of your hair in his fingers, occasionally pressing a delicate kiss to your temple as you delved into the story in front of you. Each time he did it, your entire body got covered in goosebumps — it was a feeling you wanted to experience forever.

Draco wasn’t reading, but he was perfectly at bliss with you in his arms, head against his chest, and the warmth enveloping you two as the snow continued coming down outside.

You reached over, grabbing another cookie and taking a bite and being careful not to get crumbs all over your pages, decided to check the clock above the fireplace, “It’s late, Draco, I just realized.” You felt a little fluke noticing how late it was. You didn’t want him to leave. The evening had been the closest thing to perfect you had ever experienced.

He chuckled, placing another kiss to your forehead, “I know. I don’t want to leave though.”

Flushing, but agreeing, you closed your book and placed it on the table before turning around to face him, readjusting the blanket so you were both still cocooned, “Unless — I don’t know — do you want to stay the night? You don’t have to, but we could stay in bed and be warm and cozy and—,”

He cut you off by placing his lips on yours, rendering you speechless before pulling away and mumbling against your lips.

“Thought you’d never ask, love.”

Or: Waxing realistic as we examine the events of the episode "Bubbled".” Steven suffers halfway-realistic effects from being exposed to the vacuum of space. Probably not super canon compliant given what we learned in Growing Pains but a fic that branches off at Bubbled and rejoins canon around Mindful Education (and written around that timespan).

Diamond in the Rough: Incomplete; “Connie is in the hospital with a serious disorder, and her biggest chance is an experimental treatment combining minerals with blood transfusions. Little does anyone know...” Originally crack of “Connie gets powers from PD-infused blood” but then ASPR happened and I have to figure out where it goes now (and I want to! but...).

The Results Are In: Incomplete; “Sadie gets a piece of mail from her dad. For most people that'd be pretty mundane, but it's a little more complicated considering who exactly her dad is.” Barb/Blue Diamond crack (it makes sense in context) and affectionately called “Space Maury” internally for reasons that will make sense later. Has a similar but less “it flips the ENTIRE plot” issue with ASPR. I have many idea chunks but almost no connection between them

He’s Gone: Complete (and technically a oneshot with two “bonus chapters”); “Steven asks Peridot to get the shirt Connie got for him for his birthday from his closet. He says he wants to look nice. She's confused by his request. Greg and the Maheswarans are less confused and more terrified. He keeps saying it'll be okay. They'll be okay, even though he'll be going away. It'll just be a couple of days now. Or: Steven and Pink Steven are unable to fuse after being separated on Homeworld. That's not good for Steven.” Steven dies. That’s it. That’s the whole fic. Might potentially get an extra chapter or two still. Or not. Eh.

Or: (Based in corrupted Steven theory as well as taking inspiration/using characteristics from a fic by @love-killed-the-superstar​) Sometime after coming back from corruption, Steven sees a therapist to try to hammer out some lingering issues.” Steven has specific lingering issues from corruption due to the way they had to mitigate it, and that affects how he communicates with his therapist some days. Just been blocked on the best way to write it

Waiting is Worse: Incomplete; “Is there anything more awful than the feeling of powerlessness?” The movie mostly ends the same, except Steven doesn’t un-rejuvenate.

Realism: Incomplete, strong desire to complete; “As much as he may want it to be, this is not a dream. He's not possessing anyone. It's not happening to someone else. It's real.” Steven has the same effects happen to him as the Watermelon Steven from Escapism--an arm and a leg are amputated.

a/n: my favourite is cloud but reno and aerith are very close behind! i’ll post them separately since it’s a bit long, here’s reno’s first.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Reno’s super affectionate (mostly in romantic situations)! He’s probably pretty cool with PDA too, but if his s/o doesn’t like it then he’ll tone it down as much as he can. When you’re sitting down reading, doing paperwork he’s for sure gonna hug you from the back and distract you.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

He’d be the kind of best friend that makes fun of you in a playful manner, making sure not to take his own antics too far. 

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) 

Reno would love to cuddle, especially with the one he loves most (you). Big spoon? Little spoon? Depends on his and your mood. Taking you away from work-related stuff and bringing you to the bed or couch just to cuddle is a hobby of his.

D = Domestic  (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) 

As Turks, it’d be hard to leave the job and settle down so he just wants to make things work the way they things they are now. Reno never learned to cook so you’d definitely have to watch him while he’s trying to make something on the stove. 

E = Ending  (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) 

If he had to break up with his s/o, he’d be unusually serious. His usual, bright demeanour would leave the face of the planet and he’d tell them straight up.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He’s going to want to take it slow. Marriage wouldn’t come up quick because Reno wants to be 110% sure that the two of you are going to last because him caring for someone strongly in this romantic way is rare.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Physically, Reno’s super gentle with you. To him, you’re just a fragile, porcelain doll. Must protect!! In fights, his eyes will never leave your figure, you getting hurt is the last thing he wants.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves hugs. Reno has no problem with walking around the Shinra building while hugging you from the back.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Before the two of you are together, he says it as a joke, but when you’re actually together and official, he doesn’t say it until he’s sure that what he’s feeling is pure love.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Reno gets jealous but not as much as people would expect. If someone starts flirting with you he’d just try to make it obvious that you’re already into him by wrapping an arm around your waist.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

The first time he ever kissed you was on the back of your hand after walking you to your house, but that was when you two were still in that playful, pre-romantic partners state. Reno’s actually too worried you won’t kiss back if he does it first so he waits until you make the advance.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Reno does not know how to act around children. He doesn’t think they’re that cute but doesn’t think they’re ugly. One time a little lost girl ran up to the two of you while on patrol in the Sector 5 slums. You insisted that the two of you find where she came from and he carried her while you looked for her caregiver.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Waking up to Reno’s arms wrapped tightly around you is commonplace, so is him nuzzling into the back of your neck. 

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

On the rare nights with no Turk business, Reno just likes to relax at home with you. Imagine: An upbeat song coming up on the stereo while you’re cooking, earning a little dance between the two of you.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Reno begins to get personal after an unexpectedly long amount of time. Sure, you know the general stuff like what his favourite sweet is but his childhood? You’d have to wait for a little.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He just gets mad when he doesn’t do something right, never at you.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He forgets the less important stuff but will definitely remember your favourites and significant moments in your life that you’ve told him about.

R = Remember (What is their favourite moment in your relationship?)

Every day with you is greater than the one before, but the day you accepted his impromptu confession was the best.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He’s very protective, but not to the point where it gets annoying. Reno knows how capable you are and won’t get in the way of you doing anything.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Reno’s a cheesy romantic. On your anniversary, Valentines day, dates, he spoils you rotten. He really does try his best to make you the happiest.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Not really a terrible habit but Reno’s stubborn and will do things the way he thinks best.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He’s super concerned but at the same time, knows he looks good. The only one he’s really trying to impress is you, though.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

He’d feel significantly alone. Sure, he has Rude but without you by his side, who’s he gonna hug and flirt with now? Reno L-words you a lot.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Reno loves when you brush or play with his hair. The way your hand brushes through calms him.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn’t like when people think he doesn’t take his job seriously, because he takes it very seriously. Never underestimate Reno of the Turks.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

This man will cling to whatever there is next to him. Unless he’s hugging you or a pillow, he’s going to steal the blanket.

"Couldn't really sleep last night, and Addie's friend is coming over in an hour."

"Is that the best idea? Especially if you didn't get much sleep last night?"

"I'll be just fine." Amelia dismissed.

"You can't be over exerting yourself. Remember what happened last time? Addie came early because you were stressed?"

"I'm not going to be over exerting, they usually just sit there and color or read books."

"I know your excited about Addie having a friend, but I don't want you hurting yourself." Link sighed, annoyed with his stubborn wife's behavior.

"I'm in no mood to argue."

"Well good for you, I'm not trying to argue with you. I just want you to be cautious." Amelia rolled her eyes in response while Link wrapped his arms under her bump, trying to alleviate the weight.

"Mmhh, thank you." The neurosurgeon moaned in relief, and leaned her head back on his shoulder. "And I promise I won't over exert myself."

"Thank you. I'll probably be home a little after lunch, it's a light day just gotta do my pre and post ops." Link reassured as he gently let go of her bump, causing Amelia to groan. The couple then heard a pair of little feet run down the stairs.

"I'm sooooooooo excited." Addison told her parents when she spotted them in the kitchen.

"Really? I didn't notice." Link chuckled as he picked up his daughter and spun her around causing her to squeal with laughter. "Be good for your mom, please."

"I will." Addie nodded as her father placed her down onto the floor.

"Okie dokie, I'll see you guys later." Link smiled as he shut the door behind him.

"Mommy." Scout smiled when he spotted his mother on the couch.

"Hey, my sweet boy. What are you up to?" Amelia asked holding out her arms for the boy.

"I'm bored." The boy complained. "I wish Harrison could've come over today. I have no one to play with because Benny and Addie are playing together."

"I'm sorry kiddo. You can hang out with me though. I think I'm pretty fun."

"I guess so." Scout sighed leaning into his mother's embrace. "Want to play catch outside?"

"Is there anything else that we can do?" Amelia asked, knowing she was too tired.

"Not really." The mother felt guilty, since the news of her latest pregnancy she felt as though she wasn't giving her son enough attention.

"We can go swinging together?" The boy seemed to consider this and accepted. He made his way outside while his mother went to check on the two kids. She found them coloring in the playroom, engrossed with conversation not even realizing she was there. "I'll be outside with your brother if you guys need anything."

"Okay, mommy." Addie smiled looking up at her mother before she returned to coloring.

Once Amelia made her way to the backyard she was surprised to see her son sitting on one of the lounge chairs instead of the swings. "Why aren't you swinging?"

"I want to just sit here with you." Scout confessed, this warmed his mother's heart. She walked over and laid on the chair, embracing him. The two sat in comfortable silence until he spoke up again. "Mom, do you remember when Addie was in your belly and you told me I had a brother?"

"Oh." Amelia's voice caught, her son was only three at the time she told him that, she was surprised he still remembered. "Yeah, umm I remember. Why?"

"Do you miss him?"

"I do. Everyday."

"Do you think you'll ever stop missing him?"

"It's been a long time. I've had a long time to process it, but it doesn't mean I still don't miss him."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be." Amelia smiled through the tears forming at her eyes and kissed the top of her sons head. "I love you so much. I also think your the best big brother, and I don't tell you that enough."

"I love you too." Scout answered falling into his mother's embrace.

"And I love you guys more." Link said walking into the backyard.

"Finish all your work?"

"Yep, all my patients are doing good. And Addie and Benny are playing penguins."

"I'm so glad she has a friend." Amelia smiled happily as her husband leaned down to kiss her.

"Me too, but you look exhausted. How about you go to sleep."

"Thank you." She stood up from the chair, as her son jumped up to play catch with his dad. As much as she hated to admit when she was tired, after the conversation she had with her son she was exhausted and all she could think about was getting some sleep.

Character Notes:

Tony deliberately never specifies if he prefers to go by Anthony or Tony. People call him both, or also his friends call him Ant. Stephen does not/has never called him Tony, he’s always known him as Anthony.

Happy just tends to go by H or Harry (anyone who calls him Harold receives a death glare, but as a joke Rhodey got him a T-shirt and the pattern is just name tags that say “hello my name is Harold.”)

Rhodey just goes by Rhodey bc Tony *insisted* that all their friends call him that and plus he doesn’t hate the nickname.

Natasha is part of this but she doesn’t go to school with the rest of the group. She’s Tony’s half sister and is the biological daughter of Maria Stark and her best friend. She lives in Italy with some of Tony’s extended family and her bio dad. Few people know of her existence, or they know her as Maria’s niece (for her own protection). It doesn’t rly matter that Howard has no idea who she rly is, he wasn’t with her the entire time Maria was pregnant w Natasha bc she was in Italy (and brought Tony with her)

Roommates:

- Tony and Rhodey are roommates, and they live two floors above the four suitemates. The four suitemates are: Christine and Pepper (who share a room) and Stephen and Wong (who share the other room) despite that, the six of them tend to move fluidly in between both spaces.

- Thor and T’challa (Bruce spends a lot of time w them)

- Bruce, Sam, and Loki (as chaotic as it sounds btw)

- Bucky and Happy, who I’ve decided are very close. (btw nobody particularly enjoys the fact that Sam and Bucky live next door to each other, when they’re Busy their roommates can be found w Stephen and Co. or one of the other Odinson siblings).

Friend Groups (note: people overlap/belong to multiple groups, this is also not the full list bc that could go on for a long time):

Storylines (There’s no established time frame for this really, but it doesn’t follow mcu canon or any canon):

- Stephen and Tony are lifelong friends. They met on the first day of kindergarten and went to school together in NY (where both their families lived at the time) until middle school. For unspecified reasons, Stephen’s parents opted to move the Strange family to Nebraska before the start of 6th grade. Stephen and Tony were Devastated but were already inseparable at that point and stayed in touch. A business opportunity moved the Starks from NY to California. Stephen stayed in Nebraska for high school but Tony’s parents sent him to boarding school (read: Howard sent him away to avoid having to actually parent, and he thought he was lifting a burden from Maria. This was Not The Case, as she loved her son dearly and would call him everyday. Tony appreciated this more than he ever thought possible.)

- Howard and Stane viewed boarding school as a chance to groom Tony into something malleable and submissive enough to take orders from anyone. His obvious feelings for Stephen (with whom he was still incredibly close) were a Great Concern, so the executive decision was made to set Tony up with Steve Rogers, a blond athlete from his school. It was a way to keep Tony’s sexuality controlled, and Howard didn’t think Stephen was anywhere close to the level he wanted Tony to be (of course, Howard didn’t think his son lived up to his expectations anyway. It was more about control). On the surface, Steve was sweet and everything you could want in a partner, and he even charmed Maria into liking him. She genuinely believed he’d be a good match for her son, so it hurt when she found out what he was really like. Rhodey was Tony’s boarding school roommate for all four (4) years. They met and hit it off overnight, Rhodey instantly feeling brotherly love and the need to protect Tony (or “Tones” as he called him. Rhodey is usually the only one to call him that). Rhodey and Steve did Not see eye to eye on anything, least of all how Tony should be treated. Steve was terrible to him, and Rhodey’s heart broke when Tony admitted he was too scared to break up with him.

- Reenter Stephen. After a particularly bad day, Tony called Maria and Stephen sobbing, missing the two (2) people he talked to more than anyone except maybe Rhodey. It was then he confessed what kind of boyfriend Steve was, and Maria gasped before saying, “Dump him. Let me handle the rest.” That very day, Stephen left school early and traveled to see Tony. It was 2am when he finally arrived, throwing rocks at the window and then scaling the side of the building once he had Tony’s attention. Stephen and Rhodey met the next morning, when Rhodey came back from classes and found his roommate asleep him.

- “So you’re the one who climbed in through my window,” Rhodey said. “For a good reason, I assume.” Stephen confessed it was because he loved Tony and wanted to be there for him, didn’t want him to hurt. (It’s fair to say, though, that Stephen visited before/Tony went to visit him, and they’d spent secret time together over the summers). Tony, believing himself incapable of love, didn’t reject Stephen’s confession but assumed it was only love between friends. The summer before they all left for college (Rhodey, originally from Texas, was also going to school in NY with Tony and Stephen. NY was a big part of who they both were, and they both dreamed of studying there together), they finally started dating at Maria Stark’s motherly demand.

- This demand came a short time before Howard and Maria died, and it also came with admissions of guilt and lots of tears. “I was wrong about Rogers,” she said. “You don’t have to accept what I say or forgive me, but I know Stephen is the right one for you. I think I’ve always known.” (No shit, everyone knew) Knowong she was genuinely sorry, Tony forgave her not knowing that she would die a few months later.

- Most of this canon I’ve created takes place starting in their junior year of college, so everyone has gotten to know each other quite well. I’m sure the more I write from this the more I’ll flesh out relationships between certain characters, but one I want to mention is that Tony and Bucky are very close and co-presidents of the “I Dumped Steve Rogers for Peace of Mind” club. Steve goes to college in the next state/a little further north (that’s as specific as it’ll get for now) and dated Bucky the group’s freshman year. Tony didn’t know any of this until Bucky brought him over one day, and after they (Tony and Bucky) had a talk about the way Steve is as a partner, Bucky realized some things and dumped Steve. He remains angry at them both, especially Tony, from a short distance away which terrifies Tony.

- Sam and Bucky kissed for the first time at a truth or dare night Thor and T’Challa hosted in the group’s sophomore year. After they kissed (Sam initiated) they both shyly admitted feelings for each other.

*Now here’s where things get a little dicey. I started this au with Christine and Hope together for no particular reason, maybe they were on a club sports team together and started dating from there? But Pepper fell in love w Christine at first sight, and it got worse and worse the more they got to know each other. Much like Stephen and Tony, they’re the kind of people who meet each other and just click, even if the eventual path to Pristine involves lots of tears and jealousy for Pepper that Stephen never really experienced. He didn’t feel jealous of Tony and Steve’s relationship, because he wasn’t at boarding school with Tony and there wasn’t much he could do. But as a supportive and concerned (and honest but kind) friend, he was always encouraging and there to listen to Tony. Is Pepper going to be as good of a friend to Christine as Stephen was to Tony while Christine gets ready to marry Hope after undergrad??? that’s the question my forthcoming college au fic will answer.

- Stephen, Christine, and Bruce (The Doctor friend group) are all pursuing medical degrees while the SI friend group is transforming the company completely.
