HOCKEY PLAYER! RAFE ✸ wants you to wear his jersey

summary: rafe really wants you to wear his jersey, but you think it’s corny.

“babe, cmon, pretty please.” he whined again for what felt like the millionth time.

he was bitching about you wearing his jersey to his game, since you never do, and all of his other teammates girlfriends wear their jerseys, so he thinks you have to aswell.

the thing is; you think it’s really really corny.

you always try to explain it to him that just because you don’t wear his jersey doesn’t mean your supporting him any less.

but he’s stubborn as hell, and wont stop complaining about it.

you let out a huff and turn around to face him “Rafe, i told you i don’t like doing that.” you shrugged, which caused a pout to immediately grow on his face.

he huffed, and crossed his arms over his chest “Please. just this once.” his eyes sparkling with hope as he took a step closer to you, practically pleading.

you rolled your eyes, trying your best not to give in, but something about the way he was looking at you made your resolve start to crumble.

he knew exactly how to play you, and damn it, you hated how effective it was.

"Rafe, you're impossible," you muttered, but despite yourself, you reached for the jersey that was draped over the chair.

he grinned, his eyes lighting up like he'd just won the lottery.

"Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" he cheered, practically bouncing on his feet as you slipped the jersey over your head.

you crossed your arms, still holding onto your sense of reluctance. "But this doesn’t mean I’m going to start wearing it all the time. Just today. Got it?"

he shrugged, and pressed a chaste kiss to your cheek “got it.” he smiled softly.

There was yelling comming from Abby as you sprinted down the (thankfully) mostly empty street

Abby was faster than you were and you knew it. that’s why the head start was absolutely necessary

“Wait, how’d this happen in the first place?” You might ask? well

Abby started it

All she wanted was to touch your soft skin. To feel it under her rough hands and how she went about it, was poking.

There was nothing wrong with it initially in the dark of the theater but now you’ve since left. She won’t stop. As much as you love her you were going to brake at some point. And you were annoyed.

So the next step obviously, was retaliation.

It was hard and fast and you took off sprinting

Abby keeled over with a surprised shout, holding her ribs and whipped her head around to glare at you only to find that you had already taken off sprinting down the street

Abby was catching up.

Heavy boots thumping up the concrete stairs of the parking garage behind you, a stark difference from the slapping of your converse. You were almost to the top of the stairs, about 6 feet away from your car, only for a familiar pair of hands to grab you from behind and pin you to the driver side of your car.

“Hi”, you all but wheezed out (should’ve run the mile in high school huh)

“Hi”, Abby breathed out, as if she really couldn’t be bothered with running (she couldn’t)

“I got yo ass good”

“yeah that shit hurt. Why do your fingers hurt so much?”

“You didn’t complain last night”.

“Shut up” Abby’s face was a beautiful flush of rose and peach

“Get in”

Abby got in the passenger side with a flush on her face and a dampness in her boxers
