Basically, my dad is a Dutch immigrant so that's why I chose dutch words(there's a lot of dutch and German overlap). Kikker means frog and Oma means grandma! Those were two things my friend said described me when I asked her haha so I'm basically Frog Grandma🐸👵🏻

Pranks and German Lessons

Henrik is about to start his day at work. But there's one problem: His password is claiming to be incorrect. And he is certain he didn't change his password. So...What's going on? Who's responsible for changing his password?!

This fanfic was suggested by Shannon. I hope you enjoy!

Marvin had ran up to Henrik’s room, and quickly snuck into his office. He closed the door and started to mess with some of the stuff in the room. When he was done, Marvin planted a camera in his room, before leaving the room through the examining room and walking back to the couch to get a good view of all the commotion. 

Marvin pulled out his phone and pulled up the camera screen. The office was sterile, pristine, and perfectly organized. Well, so it looked. Marvin looked up at Henrik as he walked up to his office. 

“Hallo, Marvin.” Henrik said. 

Marvin nodded. “Hey Doc.” Marvin replied. 

Henrik headed into the room and closed the door behind him. Marvin looked at the phone screen and watched as Henrik moved around his room. He opened his computer and put in his username.

Henrik blinked and tilted his head. Did he used caps lock? He looked at his keyboard and saw that the caps lock light wasn’t on. Just to be sure, he clicked the caps lock light on, and then off again. Then, he put in his username and password.

Henrik grunted and grabbed the sticky note that had his password. And…the username was fine. But the password that was written on his sticky note was crossed out with black sharpie marker. On the back, was a hand-written note in the same sharpie: 

[Try to guess your new password! In the different patient files, are the letters and numbers to your new password. Have fun! ^_~ ]

Henrik audibly growled and threw the sticky note onto the table. “Was für ein Haufen Pferdescheiße!” Henrik yelled. Not only did Marvin change his password and make him find it out for himself, but Marvin had opened up patient files…And that was literally illegal. 

Henrik opened the door to his office and stomped up to Marvin, who was doubled over laughing. “OHO MY GAHAHAD! Your fucking FACE!” Marvin yelled. 

Henrik grabbed Marvin by the ear. “Ich werde dich töten!” Henrik yelled in his native language. 

“Ow-ow-OW! HENRIK-” Marvin yelped, clearly in pain. 

“HALT DEINEN MUND!” Henrik shouted at him as he yanked the magician into his office. “You are going to fix zhis mess, or ELSE.” Henrik threatened, throwing Marvin into his office chair. 

“Oh come on, Shneeple. Can’t you take a joke?!” Marvin asked. 

“BREACHING PEOPLE’S PRIVACY IS NOT A SCHERZ!” Henrik yelled. 

“...Is that joke in german?” Marvin asked. 

Henrik growled even louder at Marvin’s remark. “Youfuckin-” Henrik grabbed his duffle bag, and removed the long over-the-shoulder handle from the duffle bag. He wrapped the handle around the front of Marvin’s waist, and tied the two sides together on the back of the chair. 

“What the- the fuck are you doin’?!” Marvin asked, growing super confused. 

“Making you regret your choices.” Henrik replied as he grabbed Marvin’s legs. 

Marvin raised an eyebrow as he saw Henrik removing his socks. “...A foot massage?” Marvin asked. He guffawed in reaction. “What is a foot massage gonna do?!” Marvin asked. 

Henrik wrapped his one hand around the left ankle, and started to skitter four of his fingers on Marvin’s arch right away. “It is not a foot massage, Marvin.” Henrik told him. 

Marvin gasped right away. “EEK! Wait- NOHO!” He shouted, pulling his right foot back so that Henrik didn’t tickle that foot too. “YoufuckingAHAHASS!” Marvin yelled as he felt Henrik’s fingers move from the arch up to his toes. 

“You gonna tell me vhat my new passvord is?” Henrik asked. 

“NOHOHO WAHAY!” Marvin yelled. He could feel Henrik’s hand move back down to his arch. “Thahat’s for you to fihihind ohout!” Marvin replied as he wiggled his toes to try (and fail) to cover up his ticklish foot.

“Vell, zhen it looks like I vill have to tickle tickle tickle you, until you give me vhat I need. Because I have vork to do.” Henrik told him. 

“Ihihit’ll only take a- GaAAAAHAHAHAHAAAHAHA! NOHOT THERE! NOHOHOT THEHEHEHERE!” Marvin tried to reach out and cover up his poor foot, but was unable to because of the rope that was wrapped around him. 

Henrik smirked as he mercilessly tickled his heel. “I’ll only tickle harder if you vait.” Henrik told him. 

“EHEHEHEEE! WHYHYHYHYHY?!” Marvin yelled. 

“Because you have made zhis very inconvenient for me.” Henrik told him. 

“IHIHIT’S A JOHOKE! TAHAHAKE A JOKE!” Marvin yelled. 

Henrik moved his hand up to the sole of his foot. “Now is not zhe time for zhe funnies.” Henrik told him. 

Marvin’s laughter lessened a little bit. “Ohokahahay. Fihihine! Ihi’ll tell you whahahat the pahahassword for your compuhuhuter ihihis.” Marvin finally replied. 

Henrik smiled and stopped tickling. “Good.” He let Marvin breathe for a moment. 

Marvin took the time to fill his lungs generously with air. Though he hadn’t been tickled for very long, he was already a little bit tired. “It’s…” Marvin started. He let out another breath. “The password is ‘Hellohenrik456.” Marvin told him. 

Henrik raised an eyebrow, but nodded and put the password in.

[PASSWORD INCORRECT] 

Henrik hummed and looked at Marvin. “Any capitals?” Henrik asked. 

A capital H at the beginning.” Marvin told him. 

He typed in the password with a capital letter this time.

It started to load…Then, his familiar portal started to display itself onto his screen. Henrik smiled and then went to settings, and changed his password back to what it was before. “Zhank you, Marvin.” Henrik told him. “Now:” He minused out of his program and walked up to Marvin again. “I am not quite finished vizh you yet.” Henrik told him. 

Marvin widened his eyes. “Wait, what?! Why?!” Marvin asked, wiggling around. 

“Because I still need to make sure you do not prank me to zhis level again.” Henrik told him. “Simple zhings like svitching salt for sugar, or putting kleenex in my shoes is fine.” Henrik told him as he walked up behind the chair. “But changing zhe password to my vork computer?” Henrik grabbed Marvin’s sides with a smirk. “Utterly unacceptable.” Henrik told him. 

“Wait- Yohou dohohon’t uhuse that wohohord in thahat cohohontehehext!” Marvin reacted. 

“Vhy not?! What are you? Die grammatikpolizei?!” Henrik asked. 

“WHAHAT ARE YOU SAYIHIHING?!” Marvin yelled. “SPEAK ENGLIHIHISH PLEHEHEASE!” Marvin begged. 

Henrik just laughed. “Hehehe! Fick dich!” Henrik declared back with a smirk. 

Marvin couldn’t understand what a dich was…but he could somewhat understand the moment he guessed what fick likely meant. “Dihihid yohou juhust tehehell mehe to fuhuhuck ohoff?” Marvin asked him. 

“Nein. I specifically said zhe vords ‘Fuck you’.” Henrik told him. 

“Wohohow.” Marvin muttered. 

“Now how ticklish is zhis belly of yours?” Henrik brought himself to the right side of the chair, and lifted up Marvin’s blue shirt. “I have heard from a leetle bird that your belly is a good spot to go for.” Henrik asked as he slowly started to tickle right around the magician’s belly button. 

“Wahahait- NOHOHOHAHAHAHAHA! AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NAHAHAHA STOHOHOHOHOP!” Marvin shouted, kicking his legs wildly as he wiggled back and forth in an attempt to get out of the chair. “LEHEHET MEHE GOOOHOHOHOHOOO!” Marvin shouted. 

“Let you go? But vhy vould I do zhat?” Henrik asked. 

“BEHEHECAUSE YOU LOHOHOHOVE MEHEHE?!” Marvin asked. 

“Platonically? Or intimately~?” Henrik asked as he leaned into Marvin’s face with a smug little grin on his own face. 

Marvin’s face morphed into a bright red color almost immediately after hearing those words. Feeling a pair of eyes on him, Marvin opened his one eye. Quickly, he opened both his eyes and widened them once he realized how close Henrik was to his face. He immediately pushed Henrik’s face away from his own. “Shuhuhut uhuhup! Ihihi meheant platohohonicallyhyhyhy!” Marvin told him, covering up his face with his own hands. 

Henrik stuck out his bottom lip and looked down dramatically. “Aww…Shame.” Henrik whined, before dropping his facade with another smug grin. 

Marvin split his index and middle apart from each other to look out his left eye, so he could see what Henrik was doing. When he saw the doctor was smirking at him, Marvin whimpered as he covered up his left eye again and grew very timid. 

Henrik chuckled and removed his hand from the exposed belly. Marvin kept his eyes and face covered, hoping Henrik would leave him alone to melt into his seat like lukewarm ice cream. But when nothing else had happened for the next few seconds, Marvin uncovered his left eye again. 

“Uhhh…Hello-” 

Marvin SCREECHED and just about jumped 10 feet in the air! SPIDER! SPIDer- 

Henrik fell onto his back with laughter, pretty much rolling around with fits of laughter. “OHOHO MYHY GAHAD YOU’RE SOHOHO TIHICKLIHIHISH!” Henrik yelled. 

Marvin stared at him in disbelief…before embarrassed and slightly angry. He kicked Henrik’s chest with his heel and growled. “Leave my feet alone, ya fuckin’ weirdo.” Marvin told him. 

“Alright, alright. I vill leave you alone.” Henrik told him. “But only if you promise to not change my passvord again.” Henrik decided. 

“...But-” 

“No buts! Versprechen oder kein Versprechen.” Henrik told him. 

Marvin raised an eyebrow. “...and that means…?” 

Henrik sighed. “Promise, or no promise.” Henrik told him. “Jésus Chrístus. You need to learn German.” Henrik reacted. 

“Do I now?” Marvin asked. “Or do you need to practice your englisch?” Marvin asked, specifically impersonating Henrik’s pronunciation of the word ‘english’. 

Henrik rolled his eyes. “First of all: German is pronounced as ‘Deutsch’.” Henrik told him. 

“Oh! Yeah, I remember you mentioning the words ‘Deutschland’ often when I first met you. Does that just mean German land?” Marvin asked. 

Henrik closed his eyes and huffed. “Nein. Deutschland only means Germany.” Henrik told him. “Yust like Yapan is called Nihon.” Henrik added. 

“...Yeah, I guess.” Marvin muttered. “Alright. Deutschland! I speak the Deutschland language.” Marvin joked. 

Henrik couldn’t stop himself from chuckling in horror. “Verdammte Hölle…You are killing me vizh your vords and pronunciation.” Henrik told him. “Zhat is like saying ‘I speak the england language’.” Henrik told him. 

Marvin laughed. “Really? Cause English actually comes from-” 

“Latin. Ya, I know. And Deutsch is from zhe Indo-European people. The Indo-European people have multiple versions of zhe same language, one being zhe Germanic people, who spread from Norway and Sweden, to zhe Slovenian border.” Henrik told him. “Zhere vere even Deutsch people in zhe scotland and English- 

Henrik squealed in a girly high pitch voice, interrupting himself in the process before doubling over. “BAHAAAHAhahahahaha! VAHAHAIT- VHAHAHAT AHARE YOU DOHOHOIHIHING?!” Henrik yelled, trying to push the tickling fingers off of himself. “HOHOW DIHIHID YOU GEHEHET OHOHOUT?!” Henrik yelled. 

“I wiggled myself out while you were rambling on and on about the origin of Germany.” Marvin told him. “Now tell me, oh wise Deutsch: What is ‘tickle’ in German?” Marvin asked as he gently skittered and squeezed his ribs. 

“IHIHI’M NOT TELLIHIHING YOHOHOU!” Henrik yelled back. 

“Come ooooon. You sounded so excited about teaching me German! Or Deutsch, I guess. What’s ‘tickle’ in Deutsch?” Marvin asked as he severely lessened his tickling for a moment. 

Henrik’s laughter lessened to small bouts of giggles. “Ihihit’s…uhuhuh…k-kihitzeln. Kitzeln. Ihihit’s kihihitzeheheln.” Henrik repeated. 

Marvin giggled. “Kitzeln. That’s the noun, right? What’s the verb?” Marvin asked next. 

“Ihihihit’s kihitzehehelt. Kihitzelt.” Henrik replied.

Marvin smirked evilly upon being fed this wonderful information. “So does the phrase ‘Kitzelt, kitzelt, kitzelt’ make sense in Deutsch?” Marvin asked with a shit-eating grin. 

Henrik verbally groaned. “Nohohohoho. Dohohon’t sahahay zhahahat!” Henrik complained. 

“So I’m right! Kitzelt, kitzelt, kitzelt! Kitzelt, kitzelt, kitzelt!” Marvin teased as he started tickling faster and faster. 

“HaltdeineFresse! HALTDEIHIHINEFREHEHEHEHESSE!” Henrik yelled. “HAAAAALT! BITTE HÖHÖHÖR AHAHAHAUF! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” Henrik kept yelling and laughing, weakly punching Marvin with his petty little hands. 

After a couple more minutes, Marvin stopped his wild revenge game. He placed Henrik onto the chair, quickly removing the bag handle that was holding him down right before sitting Henrik down properly. He filled up Henrik’s dried coffee mug with some water from his own water bottle, letting Henrik drink while he grabbed the camera that was still recording. 

Henrik hummed and removed his mug from his lips. “Vhat’s zhat?” Henrik asked. 

Marvin couldn’t stop the smirk from growing onto his face. “Noooothing…” Marvin teased. “...Except for a camera that I used to record your reaction…” Marvin finally confessed. 

Henrik widened his eyes…and opened his mouth, forgetting about the water in his mouth. All the water in his mouth quickly started spilling out of his mouth like a waterfall…Then, Henrik wiped off his chin and slammed the mug onto the ground. “Fünf…” Henrik started. 

“Hahaha! Is that Deutsch for ‘Fuck’?” Marvin asked. 

“Fünf is a number.” Henrik said. “Fünf…” 

“Number? Wh- Oh shit you’re counting.” Marvin muttered with a surge of panic running through his veins. 

“Vier…” Henrik said. 

“Shit shit shiT SHIT SHIT!” Marvin shouted. 

“Drei…” Henrik counted next. 

“Oh fuck OH FUCK UH- BYE!” Marvin sprinted towards the door, before crashing into the closed white door. “OW!” 

“Zwei…” Henrik said, before taking a step. 

Marvin gasped and heaved on the doorknob. “FUCK!” 

“EINER!” Henrik sprinted up to Marvin and grabbed his shoulders. He threw Marvin to the ground, before tickling him mercilessly. The camera flew absolutely everywhere, before being flung onto the ground nearby. All you could see was the wall…but Marvin’s strong laughter could tell you everything you needed to know:

Gynae dismissed profuse bleeding as nothing, 0 concern and let me leave in tears

🎢- Were there any scenes you were nervous about? For audience reception or otherwise?

The dynamic I was most worried about the reception of, bar none, was Seb and Lewis. So the scenes I was worried about were the ones with Lewis in them, more below the cut.

A natural consequence of having a bitter, burned-out Seb who's been stewing in his unrequited feelings for Lewis fall in love with Lewis's Ex is that there is always going to be some Lewis-bashing. In my head, and as I tried to write it, it's a bit of a feedback loop- the deeper Seb gets into his thing with Nico, the less sympathetic he is towards Lewis, all leading up to the big confrontation in Sochi.

And yes, I did try to emphasize the way a lot of the problems in their friendship are Seb's fault- his failure to set boundaries leading to resentment, his never admitting his feelings to Lewis leading Lewis to accidentally hurt him (the joke about the Germans! what an avoidable knife twist!), etc.

But I also... leaned into some of the aspects of Lewis's public persona that I think could genuinely create friction between him and Seb, some of the things that people who don't like Lewis might point to. I'm literally scared to even list them here. You've read the fic. You know what I did.

I was fucking terrified of the reception of that.

When I tagged the fic with "a predictable but hopefully not excessive amount of Lewis-bashing" I was like, please, please, internet, please understand what I am trying to do here.

Genuinely, this being tumblr, I was worried I would get anons saying that I was a racist nazi for slandering the only black f1 driver in order to pair the two german sides of the love triangle with each other.

The nazi part of that equation is stupid. However, genuinely I still wonder about myself, whether it would have been as easy for me to be as mean as I was to Lewis if he were white.

Because so much of what Seb sees as his flaws in this fic, so much of what he gets criticized for IRL-- the crafted public persona, the attention to his role as a celebrity, the sanctimony about clean driving-- is a direct result of the racism he has faced in this sport.

(I do think the answer is that if he were white I would have just had other things to be mean about, but it's something I think about)

And I honestly think it speaks to the ethical maturity and awareness in this fandom that I didn't get that hate, that people were able to understand the story I was trying to tell and have fun with it or at the very least leave me alone if it bothered them.

I also think it helps that I had already written 26,000 words of Lewis!POV that established that I am someone who cares about him and specifically someone who thinks hard about the ways he's experienced racism and other forms of discrimination (classism!)

Anyway I've been intensely grateful for the good faith with which this story was received and am relieved every time people with Lewis themed usernames say nice things about it because I was fucking scared.

10. Origin of your username?

While super weird, it's not too original on my part. It's literally my first name, Blair-Sanne.

I was named after my mother twice - "Blair", a nickname she got because someone thought she looked like Linda Blair, and "Sanne" from her original given name "Susanne". It's the German pronunciation (since that's what her parents spoke) which sort of sounds like "Zanna" if you butcher it enough so that's how my name is said. "Blair-Zanna". Blair-Zanna Banana, if you will. I'm blairsanne most places online, so feel free to stalk me. XD

37. Any writing rituals?

I don't have one set ritual, but there are definitely things I do to help ground me in the story, like:

- listen to songs I associate with my fic, - watch snippets of the source material, - or stare at pics/gifs.

Another thing I do is that I'm usually writing several WIPs at once so I will just bounce from one to another when I feel stuck.

Do those even count?? I write on Google Docs so I tend to have a couple WIPs open in my Chrome tabs regardless of whether I'm at work or home... and I just flit between writing and surfing the net or editing videos or whatever I'm supposed to be doing. It's pretty constant.

44. Share a snippet of your current WIP?

(This is from Goddess of Sex, but like... not for a bit, haha. I have so much of it written, just not the next part that needs posting. Instead I worked on this scene today.)

“Are you alright?” “I’m perfectly fine.” “You just haven’t been acting like yourself, Ands.” She traced a finger along his brow. He forced a lighthearted smirk. “You worry too much.” “Because I don’t think you’d tell me, if something was wrong.” “Nothing’s wrong. And if it were, you needn’t worry. I can handle myself.” “I know you can, but- I care about you. I don’t want you to have to only rely on yourself all the time. I want to help you however I can.”

He laughed sardonically under his breath and pressed his forehead to hers. This was a cruel joke, he thought, to have her trying to help him with this problem. If he said, honestly, that he’d started to fall for her, he was sure that she’d leave. Maybe back to Canada where he’d never see her again. He had to deflect.

He ran his hand lazily up her side and pressed a kiss to her lips before staring down at her with his usual bedroom eyes. “Don’t worry, you’ve been a big help.” She reached a hand up to cup his stubbly face and kissed him back, differently. Slow and tender, he fell into her kiss like sinking into a warm bath.

She could still feel it, his love for her, like a tiny ocean that ebbed and flowed beneath his skin. An ocean tainted by discomfort. If he loved her, he didn’t want to. And if he didn’t want to, she was only making him suffer. Something she couldn’t bear the thought of.

When she slowly pulled away, he was startled by the sad longing in her eyes.

“Are you alright?” he asked, concern painting his features in a way she wasn’t familiar with. “I’m fine,” she lied. “I should probably get home.” He gently moved some hair from her face and let his hand comb through it. “You can sleep here if you like.” She swallowed. “No, I- shouldn’t. I have to meet with Ciro tomorrow.” It wasn’t a lie, exactly, except that she’d only decided that she needed to meet with him as she was lying beneath Anders.

This is the fan-created personal home of Arthur Kirkland I made, realistically, like anywhere between a year to two years ago. This is well before the Cottage pack that just recently came out (And I am upset because that could’ve added so much more but I can’t be bothered to alter it now after all this time). Remember: This is fan/headcanon created. I build for fun and am not a professional. I do not build with the intention of having it livable/non-clashing. If something clashes it will be up to you to fix it because I build for the pure aesthetic and not functionality. I own a lot of packs so if you don’t own all the ones used in this there might be issues. After the cut here I will provide a visual walk-through via screen captures. You’re more than welcome to download it and look at it for yourself. My username on Sims4 is Shinoshallbugyou.

First up, the outside overview. Keep in mind that Sims 4 limits the lot to a harsh degree. I actually really miss Sims 3 in how you could alter and change the environment otherwise I’d have Arthur’s home buried in a garden/trees. I have placed his home in the University area because it felt the best suited. There wasn’t any particular designs I was going for... I just kind of made it and went with it. His home, unlike Spain’s that I am working on, is much smaller in comparison. I particularly wanted to bury this home in foliage and green with ivy climbing up the wall and etc. Something to where you could have enchanted little areas to sit in, fairies, and etc. Something to where he can be more introverted and away from others.

3rd Floor- Attic/storage.

2nd Floor - Full bath, office, and his bedroom.

1st Floor - Entry room, 1/2 Bathroom, Living room, dining room, kitchen. Outside there is a small backyard area as well as a greenhouse.

I specifically always want to try to do a ‘triangle’ entry or a sloped half triangle entry. It ALWAYS clashes and hates being put in there but the aesthetic of it appeals to me and I’m always trying things even if they’re difficult. I know some of these objects may seem more German than British but... I don’t care lmao. I don’t do this to do a 100% British Speedrun. Just fun.

The greenhouse in particular was something I wanted and is difficult to implement. Those are not full walls and as such do not drop down like normal walls for those of you who download this. Also, previously, I had custom content on the windows and doors of this greenhouse that were removed with several updates and I can’t be bothered to re-download it so I chose something from a pack. That would do. I love the idea of a greenhouse and wanted to try it and I particularly liked making this house in specific ‘cramped’.

I really liked adding this ‘side door’ that goes into the living room with its little step-up.

I really tried, to the edge of it, building the lush garden and foliage covers.

A small, quiet area for tea and fairies. There are lots of gnomes and stuff hidden throughout this house! Just a fun little surprise. My fiancee tried to play this build of mine and since I have seasons fall is triggered but it just adds to the look, in my opinion.

The backdoor into the kitchen with another cute step-down.

My hands were killing me by the end after adding all this foliage but it’s worth it. We also joked in a larp once that when America visited he accidentally broke a gnome and hid it in the bushes. Arthur immediately noticed that Reginald was missing. Where did Reginald go? Reginald???

The front entry room or, I suppose, a ‘mud’ room. I never do these and I really liked it.

A lot of Arthur’s house will be cluttered and lived-in. I love those looks. Also, my apologies in advance, I didn’t realize there would be an outline where my mouse was hovering. I’m a builder, not a photographer.

I wanted a nook of a kitchen. The walls aren’t even that high but the Sims 4 is great about making things ridiculously tall. I think I joked about putting a step-stool in there for him lmao. The door leads down below into a 1/2 bathroom. I also in particular liked that oven because it was a ‘London’ oven.

Greys and browns were something I thought that Arthur would like. More Earthy tones. I wanted a ‘round table’ for obvious purposes. I had a custom content here too and had to improvise when they removed it. I like to think that Arthur also collects those cute dishes that some people do.

The living room as well as stairs going up. I wanted it old-fashioned a bit with an old record player and the TV isn’t the main focus but is there because he has reluctantly upgraded over the years. And while you can’t see it... I miss in Sims 2&3 I believe it was that they would put on ‘chimneys’ for the fireplaces. I love how realistic that is rather than it just... Being in the wall???? So I make 1x2 spaces behind the fireplaces by default now that they’re missing from the game. I miss those. The clipping from the half triangle roof is here along with foliage. Usually my brain just blocks out that stuff or I try to hide it. In this case... I blocked it out and ignored it.

Going upstairs, peering down into the living room.

I really, REALLY wanted this weird bay-window with a ledge here. A lot of stuff I want is a pain to do but I always want to. I temporarily removed a clipping roof object here (It is the ‘rounded roof’ here). I enjoy how it looks outside but not inside. For the pictures sake, I removed it. The window doesn’t allow it to disappear and for some reason it clips into the bathroom as well even though that makes no sense. Roofing is one of the hardest aspects in this game.

The full bathroom first. The top view gives the most details as to how it looks. Since it isn’t big I have to remove the walls to see further into it.

Arthur’s personal office. I wanted to involve a bit more of the spiritual or supernatural things he’s into since I wasn’t interested in making a basement for this project.

Arthur’s bedroom. I really enjoyed this one because of the quilted bed and things like that. I added the rocking chair and knitting sidekick there as an afterthought while looking at this room since, at the time, the knitting pack hadn’t come out when I made this. I thought the contrasting red and green would actually look good and not just Christmas-y. He has his own little walk-on balcony.

Here is the half triangle structure I was talking about as well as the circular roof down below. Roofing is incredibly difficult and I’m OCD and want it to look a particular way. I about had a fit on Spain’s home recently in regards to roofing.

The 3rd floor... The attic that has been transformed into a storage area. I actually really enjoy making storage areas in particular that help reveal some aspects about these characters I create for. In England’s case I like to imagine that America used to live up in here with him and he’s converted it from Alfred’s bedroom into storage. The babyshoes are supposed to be Alfred’s that he still keeps around. Just little bits and pieces over the years that he’s tossed in here and yet it’s still not really that chaotic... All things considered.

Anyways... That’s it! I hope you all like it! I’ve been working on Spain’s and, unlike England, I like to picture him having a HUGE home. Because of how big it is... It has taken much longer. I have the majority of it done though and am mostly left with his 2nd floor and outside foliage to complete before it’s done! I’ll probably upload the ship and island I’ve made for them on the next post.

I gave you *so much* benefit of the doubt when I saw this comment, and assumed that maybe you're an ESL user, just very enthusiastic to share ideas, and I pretty much said so in my reply, but know that at that point I'd already had friends- who fucking know about this, don't you dare think you're getting me alone- tell me that you were being very demanding.

Below was my reply (another email notif):

I'm gonna be honest, I think I responded really well to what I was given, and now that I'd replied, I was pretty certain the situation was dealt with. You, evidently, didn't agree, as shown by your reply to my reply:

At this point I'm left wondering two things:

What do they expect from me, if a general reply is not it?

How much more shit do they have waiting to tell me to put in my- reminder, JATP/BBC Ghosts crossover, rated T, comedic- fic?

In order to avoid finding out either, I freeze the thread on AO3. I'm liveblogging all of this on Discord.

It's then that I notice that the username on AO3 isn't clickable, so even if I wanted to block or report them I couldn't. I assume, therefore, that they've deactivated, and since them seeing their comments gone and getting angry was the only thing stopping me deleting the comments, I delete the comments.

It's also at this point I see "Mimi" never left kudos. I guess I don't deserve praise until I mention "Bill Cilnton".

There's relative calm for a short amount of time, until I get another comment:

This one is much kinder than the others and doesn't mention any specific, weird, historical events, so the extent to which I think this is "Mimi" is debatable, but bestie I'm weirded out enough that anything that even uses the enter bar unnecessarily and misses out conjunctive words like "because" and "and" is going to activate fight or flight. Update: Carl Birtles is not Mimi or Lulu. Carl was just being genuinely kind and I misinterpreted it and that's on me.

However, "Carl"'s case is not helped by the fact I can't click his account either, that AO3 offers me the ability to report it as spam, and that guess who replies to "Carl"'s comment: Update: Carl, having done nothing wrong as he has, is therefore also a victim in the situation that is being replied to by Lulu. It would seem Lulu is trying to correct??? some of Carl's commentary.

You must think I didn't get a 7 on my English Literature GCSE because you seem to underestimate my ability to compare two texts.

So clearly this is "Mimi", who has also just replied to "Carl". "Lulu" is also deactivated, and I've fallen off the end of my tether, let alone reached it, at this point so I mark it as spam. "Carl" gets to stay bc he said the idea for the crossover was good. Update: Carl also gets to continue to stay because I have it on good faith that he's a stand-up dude.

So at this point you've readily admitted through your inability to shake up your writing style to using at least one sockpuppet to convince me to talk about the "Yugoslav wars".

Here's exactly why I will never include anything you have told me to include:

Julian and the Phantoms discussing the Berlin Wall would be highly inappropriate for the largely fluffy, cracky tone of my fanfiction, especially given how recently the event occurred, how many Eastern Germans still experience prejudice to this day because they were born within the old borders of the DDR, and because of how nuanced this, essentially proxy war, was and how ill-informed a huge amount of the world is on the actual factors in play during this time and the Cold War in general.

Julian and the Phantoms will not discuss Yugoslavia dissolving, nor the fallout and conflict that resulted, because it was genocidal. There is nowhere I can fit Julian, pantsted, casually asking Luke “hey do you remember when the Herzegovinas were killed en masse by the Serbs?” Not gonna happen.

They won’t discuss Bill Clinton because all of them know who the current world leaders are: they don’t have amnesia, they’re ghosts. The fic is also rated T, so it would be inappropriate to make any explicit reference to “sexual relations”. None of them play saxophone.

Julie wouldn’t think of Les Mis or Hamilton because Thomas is Regency, not French Revolution, and Kitty is Georgian, not Colonial.

Julie won’t be calling Fanny Mary Poppins because she is perpetually stuck in a white dress, doesn’t wear a hat, doesn’t own an umbrella or a purse and was not the nanny or housekeeper of Button House.

The ghosts will not discuss the marvels of modern transportation or how long it would’ve taken to cross the Atlantic on dinghy because the ghosts have seen Friends. The house irl is on a flight path. They know airplanes exist. Alison and Mike pulled up in a car.

I will probably have the phantoms and Willie talk to Pat and Julian about being from the ‘80s and ‘90s. That I will actually probably do.

The Captain will not mention FD Roosevelt because, again, they all know who the current world leaders are, and I doubt he expects a ‘90s pop punk band to have any insider knowledge on the man.

It was interesting to think of the phantoms’ grandparents having been alive during WW2. I wasn’t lying. But there is nearly nothing I can do with this information.

But above all: both sets of ghosts have already adapted to modern life. Because the shows are shorter, and meant to actually be able to fit jokes in them.

If you want to see any of this, write your own damn fic. I don’t own the concept of a JATP/BBC Ghosts crossover.

What you will not do, “consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel”-nim, is hound me on multiple accounts and then change platform to hound me again. I’m absolutely not having it.

I have never received an interaction quite like this before, and I cannot help but wonder if this is because this is my first work in the Ghosts/HH/Them There/Six Idiots/Yonderland/Bill fandom: that this is where you primarily camp out.

So it’s at this point I ask the Them There/Six Idiots fandom if they have/if they know anyone who has had a run-in with this person or thinks they may have, or if anyone perhaps even knows who this is? Maybe I’m just one of many. Maybe this is a necessary fandom evil I was unaware of.

This experience has left me royally freaked out, as one might imagine, especially since my anxiety in general has been acting up due to it being exam season. I want to thank everyone who’s read my rambles on Discord and on here and even listened to them irl and offered support from the bottom of my heart.

I’ve enabled comment moderation on the fic. I will continue to write it, and I will put exactly what I, and only what I, want in it.

Little Ghost Q-Taro #1

Update 17th August 2021:

Updated this post one day after posting. Added a missing screenshot, fixed some formatting and some spelling mistakes.

Yo. I have um... “acquired”... digital copies of the TV series “オバケのQ太郎“ (1985 version). Since it’s been a long time since I watched a new series (well, not exactly “new”, I mean “new to me”), I’m gonna make some random blog posts of what the hell I’m watching. This is like, my first step into “weeb territory”, haha. (Sorry, I’m just joking, please don’t take this as an insult to anime or something)

However, the last time I’ve really watched an anime was when I was like 8 years old or something, when series like ハクション大魔王 (”The Genie Family”) and へーい!ブンブー (”Hey! Bumbo”) aired on German television. Up until now I only cared about western animation because anime wasn’t really my cup of tea, most of the time. However, when there’s a cute character involved, I’m totally gonna watch it, regardless where it came from!!

And it happened with Little Ghost Q-Taro. Funnily enough, he kinda shares a part of my name but when I decided to change my username forever, I didn’t know this character even existed. One musician that I follow on Twitter retweeted a manga featuring this character and it took me a while to find out who he is and what series he belongs to. Even now I know very little about that franchise. Apparently it used to be a big thing but nowadays nobody cares?? It apparently never got released outside of Japan so I only have these episodes with no English audio and no English subtitles (great...).

Since the series seem to be aimed at kids, the plot is hopefully easy enough for me to follow, even though I don’t understand a single word of what the characters are saying. Yesterday I watched the first episode, called “Qちゃん誕生“ (Birth of Q-Taro?).

Q-Taro hatches from an egg that came from outer space. Wow. So Q-Taro is an “Obake”, which is apparently a spirit of a living being that passed away. Or, let’s just say he’s a ghost, to make things easy. So he’s a ghost from outer space?? Color me intrigued!!

Then we have... these characters. I have no idea who they are, but I’m pretty sure the kid on the right is called Shōta Ōhara (yes, literally a shota), according to my “research”. He’s a grade-school boy. The guy on the far left is I guess his older brother Shin'ichi Ōhara. My only guess is that the guy with the “interesting” mustache in the middle is Shōta’s father, but I have no damn clue.

So this Shōta kid walks onto the street and encounters what I assume are his classmates, who take baseball very seriously. He is invited to play a “friendly” game with them. By “friendly” I mean that he’s totally forced to play with them, lol. A quick Google search makes me want to believe that the guy in the front is actually a bully called Tsuyoshi Saigō. When I watched it yesterday I thought that he was just a very rude teacher who’s tired of Shōta goofing off, lol.

On to the next thing. They play baseball and Shōta messes up. He couldn’t catch the ball and he accidentally sends it flying off-target. The school bully is pissed and Shōta searches for the ball. He finds it along the alien egg and BOOM, Q-Taro hatches. They quickly become friends.

Later that day, Shōta meets these two people. The guy on the left might be Hakase, his smart classmate.The girl might be Yoshiko Koizumi, another classmate of Shōta. All of this is based on a quick google search, so don’t treat this as 100% fact. Apparently it’s her birthday or something and now Shōta has to get her a present.

I forgot to mention that Q-Taro has the ability to be 100% translucent. But I guess this should be a given, because... you know... he’s a ghost. Or an alien. Or whatever he might be. Most of the time he materializes so Shōta can see him, I guess. Anyway, they do some running exercises and Q-Taro learns that you have to stop when the traffic lights are red. Wow, so this series is not only entertaining, but also educational as well!!!11

Q-Taro steals some food from Shōta’s brother and stuff.

Then they sit down on a roof to discuss some plans, I guess. Then they are off to the bakery and gift-wrap a cake. As we can see, Q-Taro has quite the appetite; he seems to be all over food. They leave the bakery and Q-Taro naturally wants that cake. He freakin’ unwraps it and eats it like the dick he is, lmao!! It seems that he is quite ruthless when it comes to food and doesn’t care about whom it belongs to.

Shōta is pissed because now he has no present to give. He yells at Q-Taro, takes the wrapping and goes away. Later that evening, a party is held at their house and there’s a nervous-looking Shōta. Q-Taro did some thinking and gets another cake from the bakery. At the party, he brings the cake just in time to save Shōta from that embarrassing “I have no gift”-situation. They are all a little surprised by the floating cake, but then they are all delighted and don’t give a shit that a cake just flew into their house (with Q-Taro being translucent of course).

Later that same evening, Q-Taro and Shōta share a piece of cake and we learn that Q-Taro has legs, based on that sitting position. So he isn’t just a ghostly being with two paws attached to him, I guess. I’m guessing lots of things.

Q-Taro blows out the candle on the cake and murders Shōta. The End.

Okay, just kidding here, no harm done. Anyways, I spent way too much time on this post, so I’m gonna end it right here! I hope you enjoyed my ramblings and my limited knowledge about this stuff! Not sure if I do more of these or if there’s enough material to write commentaries on more episodes. I will however watch one episode each day.

3. Where do you live? A little town in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony), Germany. Known for being the summer residence of a royal bloodline some 200 years ago. Yes there's a castle :P

4. Three things I am doing right now? Trying to forget the nightmare I just woke up from, thinking about getting a few more clementines from the kitchen and fininishing a little sketch I started yesterday

5. Four fandoms that have piqued my interest: Metalocalypse (ofc), Hogan's Heroes, Ghost BC, What We Do In The Shadows. Those are the main 4 at the moment but there's always a chance for other fandoms to take over for a bit.

6. How has the pandemic been treating you? ....yeah. Not so great. My grandma died suddenly at the start of the pandemic, I had to leave my internship I was super happy at early because of lockdown, finished my last semester at college with horrible online classes, had to move back in with my parents, cut contact with someone I've known almost all my life, barely passed my finals, still on the hunt for a job (started applying to places in September) and am close to losing it any day now lol Also pandemic means no flea markets which was one of the few things keeping my brain happy and occupied while giving me a chance to ride my bike around the region for hours :^(((((

7. Song(s) I can’t stop listening to: Sadly no particular song coming to mind right now, but I've had Ghost's entire discography and Dethalbum I, II, and III on rotation for months now lol. 8. Recommend a movie: The Road to El Dorado by Dreamworks, a children's movie, I know... Each song is an absolute banger tho (even the German versions!), the jokes are silly but fun, the queer/gay hints add that little spice that I subconsciously picked up on and felt comforted by as a kid and the design of the everything is just (chef's kiss) Also the chemistry between the 4 main characters is gud as heck. It's the childhood movie I latched on to the most, my mother had to rent the dvd almost every single day until I bought a copy myself lol

9. How old are you? 24 orz I don't feel like it at all...

10. School, university, occupation? Finished college in August, unemployed because no one wants to hire in the creative field during a worldwide plague :^)

11. Do you prefer heat or cold? As long as it's under 35°C I prefer heat. My hands and feet are icicles 95% of the time after losing weight :^(

12. Name one fact others may not know about you? Since I'm an expert oversharer you probably know almost everything about me already orz But uhhh. Lemme see... I learned how to operate a laundry machine at the ripe old age of 20 at my internship at a hair salon lmao My mother never had the nerve to show me how on the modern machine we have at home (along the lines of "you will fuck it up anyways so let me do it >:^(((" which is an overarching theme in her raising me lol), but the older machine with the simpler dials at the salon was a good start to learn and honestly one of the things at this internship I'm still super grateful for...

13. Are you shy? Oh hell yeah I am... It's all the years of getting only negative feedback for trying to interact with others lol

Now it's basically a YouTube meme just how "perfect" Mark is, so there was no real drama; apparently some newer fans are just upset at him for playing the sequel to HuniePop, a very sexual puzzle/dating game that's honestly entertaining and can be really funny. Like... he's played the original and despite the discomfort of some scenes (which are censored, mind you), he still had fun, and it was a big hit on his channel.
