Thinking again about Nexstar's possible ways to take this. As I've mentioned, I'm sort of shifting exec thoughtpatterns around a virtual table debating different ways shows might be saved.

Them clarifying they might keep a distinct few shows--AA, AAH, TW are indeed top in fall. S&L and PROBABLY GK for spring. But S&L has potential to wrap up by DC for reasons (might; I don't want to go into the reasons this post). And AA is aging at four years. Even with its colicensing, they may defer to its spinoff as cheaper and just pull one forward.

Which would leave AAH, TW, GK.

There's your few distinct shows. And 3 8PM slots. Friday they're using unscripted. That leaves one day, and where are their pilots gonna go?

I realized, 9P they could almost exclusively use acquired shows--they already use 3--to fill in and pull similar numbers. That's exactly what's happening so far. Like Windy vs Professionals. Same demo but one costs millions and one costs thousands.

Going from like 12 to 3 shows itself is a titanic direct savings, as long as they still pull demo. Let's say lowball 2M/ep 20/eps 9/shows ... 360 million. They wanna increase earnings about 1M. So the trick is how much to get acquired, and what demo they pull with their remaining product etc. It's actually possible for Nexstar to make CW break even by this time 2023, just not be inherently profitable. Then reducing their licensing. Etc. Profitable comes a few years out but with what they're doing it's genuinely not far away.

"Profitable by 2025." They said. And they're right. We might as well consider it 2023 right now. By 2024 even. By 2025 profitable. They're on the right track.

the number of ex-christian atheists that do nothing to work on their ingrained values and thoughtpatterns and just insist that because they got rid of Jesus they are now more enlightened and better than those religious people - and then say shit like "look, we were right, the RELIGIOUS people ruined Roe" except those RELIGIOUS people are evangelical christians, and taoism calls abortion a necessary evil that is sometimes prudent and honorable, judaism MANDATES abortion if it saves the mother. There is more things on earth than dreamt of in your philosophy.

Personally, my stance is that if you can't name the three biggest abrahamic religions (hint: judaism isn't one of them) you don't get to talk widely about religion. Talk about what you know, with specificity - evangelical christianity is harmful, talk about that, do not conflate it with literally thousands of cultural practices around the world.

I'm basically a loose runaway soul who's been searching for a bodyplanshape(s) and somewhere I could call home (for a while). I picked up drakn before this life/incarnation. Besides the form being very versatile, the behavior and thoughtpatterns of frumious fantails, if not drakns in general, are a very good match for me. Then I incarnated here, probably because this Earth is so basic and bland that humans have made so much varied fiction that I could scour through for ideas. And I found Deltarune as a perfect blueprint-inspiration for a home.
