(All Kayfabe wise + a real life scenario to capitalize on bad moments)
Not to bring the “incident” up again but this fits the narrative of the Bucks and Jack wholeheartedly. Jack was suspended for eight months and the Bucks were too suspended by Tony Khan, so this is not the Bucks way of saying, “TK, We can run AEW better than you!” but also way to change AEW to meet their own personal needs and preferences — they were cruelly punished and now everyone is going to pay.
The new ELITE are Scapegoats because Tony Khan is literally paying for his crimes.
And not only are they going to play flat out monopoly, maybe even a dictatorship, but they’re going to condition everyone to think and act like them, but to an extent because nobody is higher than the boss.
If you think the Young Bucks aren’t going to run with this like wild men, I’m afraid I have some bad news for you. But if you believe in the lore as much as me, you’ll realize that this is the BEST scenario to capitalize on two bad moments in AEW history.
So be prepared for Jack to go after the AEW Championship and have a beautiful reign, and for The Bucks and Kazuchika Okada to hold gold for a while.
Oh and if you think Kenny or Hangman are the equalizer in all of this… you couldn’t be more wrong. Kenny too is being punished. Hangman is being punished. Anyone who pushed away or betrayed the Bucks in some way will be punished.
The Elite reckoning is upon us all and I couldn’t be more excited!

Hi Jen! From the prompts you shared—for gestures—I really liked these two:
#10: Whispering jokes/loving words in a lecture/school/church/a meeting. Trying not to laugh/flirt back in fear of disturbing everyone else who's trying to pay attention.
#18: Pushing your lover against a wall after one too many teasing comments, but being met with unsaid tension instead of the quiet. Both of you unable to continue with the jokes.
Possibly as a set, or individually depending on which one you’re drawn to the most! Love your writing so much! 🙂💗
Gestures #10. Whispering jokes/loving words in a lecture/school/church/a meeting. Trying not to laugh/flirt back in fear of disturbing everyone else who's trying to pay attention.
Gestures #18. Pushing your lover against a wall after one too many teasing comments, but being met with unsaid tension instead of the quiet. Both of you unable to continue with the jokes.
An installment in the detective AU series set between pushing boundaries and pushing deadlines
Hope you enjoy, Sonia!
Carlos is looking at a photo of a crime scene from a recent string of arsons when he feels his phone vibrate against his leg with an incoming text.
He has no intention of answering it, he’s in a meeting with his boss and four other detectives as she outlines a new case that has just been brought to their attention, but as he looks across the table at his boyfriend, he thinks he has a pretty good idea of who it’s from.
TK’s listening intently to what Washington is saying as she flicks to another picture on the screen, but both of his hands are under the table and when his eyes briefly meet Carlos’ gaze, he smiles discretely and nods down at his lap.

I wonder how much criminal trouble Owen would actually be in if what he did was found out. When Robert initially asked him to help, Owen hesitated because he didn't want to take a life, but Robert assured him that he wasn't asking Owen to kill him, but just be there, clean up the evidence, and be the one to "find" him. At the very least, I guess Owen would be lying to medical professionals and potentially police...there would probably be a police report, right? Maybe some kind of destruction of evidence, but it's evidence of a suicide, not murder, so it doesn't seem all that serious of a crime. He didn't have a legal obligation to stop Robert from killing himself. Not that this makes it not traumatic for Owen to go through, of course! I just don't think there will be any issue of potential criminality on Owen's part, especially considering the "logic" of this show. Like if Carlos can threaten a man with a gun and almost kill him and not get into any kind of legal trouble, I think Owen is safe, regardless of whether he tells TK and/or Carlos about it!
Owen absolutely, 100%, broke the law:
Code Section Health & Safety 166.45-51 Euthanasia Condoned in Statutes? Mercy killing or euthanasia is not condoned or authorized by Texas law, nor is any act or omission other than to allow the natural process of dying.
I had to Google this and about a dozen prompts for Samaritans and helplines popped up. So yay for that I guess?
Owen was aware of what Robert planned to do. Failure to intervene, the omission of action, makes him guilty.
Owen watched as his brother ended his own life and did not intervene to save him. That makes him guilty because he did have a legal obligation to stop him. One could even argue that his role as a First Responder meant he had even more of a duty to preserve life.
The plan was (and we assume carried out) that Owen would remove the evidence that Robert took his own life, which is as its simplest terms him covering up a crime.
Owen absolutely broke the law. No arguments, no room for doubt. And, unlike Carlos, done with rational thought and planning.
(Carlos was still in the wrong, but there are degrees of wrong.)
Robert wanting to end his life is one thing, and I get why he wanted to do it while he still could. I get why he wanted to do it at Owen's so his family would be spared finding him (in time or too late, neither option is enjoyable). Plus Life Insurance policies pay out for terminal illnesses, not suicide. This way his family are saved from the pain of knowing he deliberately took days away from them, from the guilt of not finding him in time, and they are financially taken care of. It's why he couldn't just check himself into a motel or throw himself off a bridge. He needed to die "of his illness" to tick all the boxes and that needed help.
Now disclaimer: I get why suicide and attempted suicide remain against the law. If there is a crime in progress then it means emergency services can force entry into a locked property. In an ideal society it would not result in any charges being pressed against the person who felt that it was their only option and they would get the help that they need.
Anyone helping them? That's the legal minefield and I am not getting into the moral rights and wrongs of that. All opinions are valid on that and I'm not about to launch into a debate on that. This isn't what that ask is about.
What Owen did, regardless of the reasons for doing it, was illegal. He assisted in the suicide of someone, did not do anything to intervene, and then covered it up by removing evidence after the event. That's prison time as the State of Texas has that on the same level as murder.
(Damn, the trigger warnings on this are plentiful. If I missed something let me know.)

Out of the Cold
by Meditating_Honey_Badger
This fic was written as a spin on Prompt 1 of the @tarlosmonthlyprompts for November & December
TK arrived at the fire station ten minutes before the agreed upon time, only to find Carlos leaning against his police cruiser, sipping what TK assumed was coffee out of a large thermos. He was wearing plain clothes, rather than his uniform, but he still looked impeccable in a button-down shirt and dress pants, his hair carefully gelled so there wasn’t a flyaway to be seen.
Of course he’s early, TK thought. That boy scout has probably never been late for anything in his life. And why is he dressed like we’re going someplace nice? They were headed to Colorado Springs to pick up a prisoner with cardiac issues, including a clotting disorder that made it inadvisable for him to fly. The prisoner was to be returned to Austin to face charges on several crimes he’d allegedly committed there before fleeing to Colorado and going on yet another crime spree.
The police department decided a paramedic should ride along because of the prisoner’s complicated health history. TK had volunteered immediately when asked, knowing that the time and a half pay for 96 hours straight would go a long way toward his goal of getting his own place. Ever since his mother had set up camp with TK and his father, the house felt incredibly cramped.
Unfortunately, the officer who was originally supposed to go was sick, and his replacement was Carlos Reyes. It was no secret that TK and Carlos didn’t get along, and his captain had offered to let him back out of the trip. In the end, given the choice between spending more time under the same roof as his divorced parents — who were definitely sleeping with each other and thought they were doing a good job of hiding it — and spending four days with a man who he couldn’t stand, TK chose the latter.
Besides, he’d suffered worse fates. Like healing from a gunshot wound with no pain medication. Except he’d already done that. Which had driven his mother to join them in Texas, which is how TK ended up desperate enough that he was willing to spend four days in a police cruiser with Carlos.
After TK parked his car, he grabbed his bag from the back seat and pulled his own drink out of the cup holder, a frozen mixture of caffeine and sugary goodness. “Where should I put this?” he asked as he approached the police cruiser. “I still have to go inside and grab my supply bag.”
Without a word, Carlos set his coffee on top of the car and went around to the back. He opened the trunk and gestured for TK to place his duffel bag inside. “Doesn’t look like you brought much with you,” he commented.
“It’s not a long trip,” TK replied, unable to resist rolling his eyes. “Four days on the road, and who do I have to impress? The prisoner? You?”
Carlos snorted and closed the trunk. “Certainly not me. I already know enough about you to know that I’m not impressed.”
“Nice, Reyes. You know, I planned on being civil since we have to be together for the next ninety-six hours, but I guess you prefer to play dirty.”
Carlos frowned slightly, and if TK didn’t know better, he would have sworn there was a passing look of regret on Carlos’s face. TK ignored it and asked, “Can I put this down in the cup holder while I run inside?”
Carlos’s frown deepened as he looked at the disposable plastic cup. “That doesn’t look very spill-proof.”
“Do you really want to deal with me if I haven’t had my coffee?” TK shot back.
“If you can call that crap coffee,” Carlos said as he opened the door. “Just be careful. We just detailed this thing two days ago.”
“Fucking snob,” TK muttered as he leaned in and set the cup down.
“What was that?” Carlos asked.
“I said nice job,” TK replied as his head reemerged. He grinned broadly, and even batted his eyelashes a little. “On the detailing.”

Mar. 27—A contractor convicted after he took money for home repairs from people after the 2019 Memorial Day tornadoes but did not do the work is in custody on unrelated charges.
Robert Tracy Greene, 56, of St. Paris on Thursday was named a most wanted suspect by Miami Valley Crime Stoppers for allegedly violating his probation. He was arrested by the Clark County Sheriff's Office and booked Friday night into the Clark County Jail for three traffic cases filed last year in Clark County Municipal Court, records show.
Greene was charged in February 2020 with 20 felony and two misdemeanor counts of theft involving 10 victims in Dayton and Trotwood. He was sentenced in November 2022 to up to five years of community control following his conviction on multiple theft counts and ordered to pay restitution to the victims he scammed, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records.
He now faces five years in prison, according to the Crime Stoppers alert.
"On Feb. 13, 2023, the probation officer has presented to the court that the whereabouts of the defendant have been unknown since Jan. 31, 2023. Wherefore, the court finds the defendant is an absconder and orders that the period of time during defendant's absence from the jurisdiction of the division of criminal justice services of this court shall not apply as against the community control period herein," the order signed by Judge Timothy O'Connell stated.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost filed a lawsuit in February 2021 against Greene for exploiting homeowners following the tornado outbreak.
The lawsuit accused Greene, through his business TK Home Improvement LLC, of soliciting homeowners whose property was damaged and taking nearly $100,000 in payments between May 2019 and February 2020 but performing shoddy work or no work at all, according to complaints received by Yost's consumer protection section.
The Dayton Daily News first revealed the accusations against Greene and another local home improvement contractor in an investigation into complaints from tornado victims that unscrupulous contractors were delaying rebuilding from the 2019 tornadoes.
In 2019, Greene told the Dayton Daily News that he intended to finish the work on the tornado-damaged properties but couldn't because of open warrants, and that he intended to turn himself in. At that time, he had two warrants out for his arrest. He has been convicted of theft three times for contractor-related accusations: twice in 2012 and once in 2013.
The attorney who represented Greene in his criminal cases in Montgomery County declined to comment.

Omar/Emara Aziz - Agent Flying Fox Dossier
Note from Shawn: Sorry. Forgot to do this. Flying Fox has not taken their headshot yet, I thought I should wait until then. But he stole my donuts and is holding them hostage. I'll just get it over with now. I'll add his headshot later...
((OOC:
this is an RP blog for my IEYTD OC! the askblog community is a multiverse thing, but this blog itself is set alongside the events of cog in the machine/~1968 ish?? starting right around missions 1 and 2. there may be spoilers about it!
some rp boundaries:
- no nsfw
- no bigotry
- please tread lightly with religious/spiritual topics, especially regarding Islam. references to religion are fine of course, it's a huge part of culture/societies. just...nothing too heavy (it's a sensitive spot for me)
^i know that might be confusing considering how omar will say a religious term every now and then. for context he's a cultural muslim atheist. he still participates in culture, festivities, and language involved with his upbringing as a malay muslim. like how some atheists in western countries will celebrate christmas and say jeez and stuff!
- no terminal illness/cancer
- flirting is fine but omar is monogamous and taken, so he won't reciprocate!
- please ask before bringing any controversial topics into an rp
- anything else should be just fine though :>
mun is over 18 (23yo). please note that i am also australian, meaning i'll be asleep during most american hours. please don't hesitate to let me know if i'm overstepping or being disrespectful in any way, i want this to be fun for everyone.
note to anyone else joining the IEYTD askblog community: we've agreed to tag our introductory posts with the main tags #ieytd and #i expect you to die. but as there's a lot of us popping up now (hell yeah) we've agreed to use the side tags #ieytask and #ieytd askblog as not to flood the main tag for fans outside our sub-community. hope thats cool with everyone, and let us know if anything needs changing.
i think thats all. have fun! - @taaaaaaawnyfrogmouth))

Name: Omar/Emara Aziz
Codename: Agent Flying Fox
Place of Birth: Changi Village, Singapore
Nationality: Singaporean
Date of Birth: March 5th, 1932
Height: 5'3
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
Blood Type: A
Dom. Hand: Left
Status: Alive
Flavour Profile: Sweet and Spicy
Fav. Colour: Navy Blue
Zodiac: Pisces
MB type: ISFP-A
Weapon of Choice: Advanced Lockpicks
Catch Phrase: "This isn't about me, the Doctor, or the Agency. Think what you will of me. I'll be here for him, always."
A former Zoraxis operative, a high thief and burglar-for-hire who rose up the ranks over the years. Agent Nightjar worked undercover with Omar, on the long and ambitious Operation [REDACTED]. The two had grown close over time, Omar claimied that they may have even fallen in love. They state that they had suspicions, but turned a blind eye to it until his cover was blown. Zoraxis had caught Nightjar collecting intel, and brutally injured him in a near death incident. Omar managed to save the Agent, and with his direction, brought him to the Agency Emergency Room. While grateful for the rescue of one of their agents, the Agency still had their doubts about a Zoraxis Operative changing sides so suddenly. Omar was detained for some weeks after this event – with no clear idea of what the Agency should do to him.
After some pleading and much compromise, Omar’s affiliation with Zoraxis was deemed useful. After pulling some strings, the Agency has Agent Flying Fox working for them in order to pay off his years of crime. Under strict conditions, of course. Their Agency house is dotted with cameras, microphones, and sensors. They are forced to wear a watch that tracks his every word and move. Concerns regarding Agent privacy are continually dismissed by higher supervisors, as “A single blind spot could leave us wide open.” They have been denied a TK implant.
Agent Nightjar is currently in recovery for his injuries. Agency Research & Development is working on new assistive tech for him in the meantime. This has played a part in Flying Fox’s hire, as the Agency still needs to complete Nightjar’s mission until he is able to return to work.
Agent Flying Fox’s motives are uncertain. The team tracking him continue to preach that he is “Just madly in love” and “Constantly gushing about Agent Nightjar, and would do anything for him”. Such claims are met with scepticism from higher officers. What truly motivates this individual to the Agency’s side will forever be a mystery...

From an outsider's POV, Amanda seems like such a badass that I really feel like if she thought AEW was taking advantage of her, her family or Brodie's Legacy, I feel like she personally would make TK pay for his crimes 💀💀💀💀💀 but fr, if Amanda is okay with this, nobody should be complaining.
I'm on the side of everyone wanting more for Dark Order, just please stop tweeting Uno directly or any of the Dark Order boys (I follow Uno closely so I just know what he has been receiving) but something like this, they have done right by.

Making the Most of Your Boyfriend
EDIT: Also on AO3 https://archiveofourown.org/works/33345157
Someone you care about was assaulted and hospitalized.  What’s a person with a devoted yandere boyfriend to do? :O
Warnings:  This is fanfiction for the in-development game Your Boyfriend, an erotic horror game about an obsessive stalker boyfriend.  The fic itself deals with a hate crime (specifically a transphobic one) and subsequent retaliation for said hate crime.
I never let go of YB's hand as we make our way through the hospital.  The entrance, the front desk, the waiting room, the halls, all spent holding his hand.  Part of it is needing the emotional support, I don't know how well I'd be doing if I didn't have him as both a physical and emotional anchor right now.
But there's also wanting to reassure him too.  Not that he's particularly distraught about the situation, but more how it relates to our relationship.  It's kind of exhausting having to walk on eggshells around his fragile self worth while I'm already fraught myself, but I know if I don't the situation could turn much worse.  So I maintain contact with him in an attempt to placate him, to non verbally tell him there is nothing that he specifically needs to fear.
Finally we're at the room.  The doctors have said that TK might be sleeping and to be quiet when walking in, but when we walked in TK smiles up at me and tried to sit up before wincing through their bruises and bandages.
"Hey-hhhh ow ow," TK laid back, still wincing.
I drag YB over to TK as I hurry to their side, my eyes starting to tear up all over again, "Oh shit, this is worse than you made it sound over the phone."
"No no, don't even worry about it, at least I'm still alive," TK said, letting out a huff of a laugh, "Not for lack of those meatheads trying."
"So it really was them?" I asked, my voice wavering as I sit in a chair by the bed.  There were these two regulars, college athletes that came once a week.  They were always rude and abrasive to the staff and other customers, making comments about my weight and throwing bits of food before leaving and never leaving a tip.  The owner never did anything because they were sons of a friend.  Even long after I quit that job they are burned in my mind as my worst customers.
"Yeah, 'fraid so," TK confirmed with a sigh, "They were back, doing their usual shit, and I don't even know how it came up but I ended up mentioning I was nonbinary.  That seemed to set them off because they got more aggressive, and then when my shift was over they were waiting for me."
TK paused for a moment, as if gathering their thoughts.  I squeeze YB's hand and dare to put my hand over TK's.  I feel YB squeeze back, a bit too hard, but I don't move.  TK eventually takes a breath and continues, "They said the usual shit assholes like them say, and I tried to just leave and not engage.  But that also pissed them off, said I was acting like I was better than them, and, well," TK glanced down at themself, "The rest is history as they say."
A tear rolls down my face.  TK is one of my closest friends, they're one of the only people I made an effort to keep in contact with after I left the diner.  The fact that they called me after all this happened...
I lean forward, lifting my hand off their hand and resting it on my forehead as I rest my elbow on the bed.  I let out a shuddered sigh before muttering, "They won't get away with this..."
TK laughed a little, "Your optimism is nice, but we both know they will.  Even if the boss wasn't friends with their dad, it's the word of a couple trust fund scholarship athletes against some queer low wage worker.  We know who everyone is going to believe."  TK sighed and looked away, "I'm more worried about paying for this hospital stay.  I don't know if-"
"Don't," I cut them off, "We will help you out."
"What?" TK blinked at me, "Oh come on, you don't have to-"
"Yes I do," I insisted, "This is what friends do.  Friends look out for one another."  I turn my head slightly, looking at YB from the side of my hand at an angle where TK can't see.
---
Once we are back at the car I finally let go of YB's hand.  Mine feels clammy from both the prolonged contact and the emotional rollercoaster.  Once the doors are closed and we're driving away, I take both our phones and remove the batteries.  YB allows this; its not the first time we've been super cautious about making sure our conversations remain private.
We finally arrive at a remote area, and once we're parked I find the emotional dam breaking.  My tears start falling freely, and I feel YB's arms quickly wrap around me as I lean into him for comfort.
"Shhhh, it's okay," he murmurs into my hair, "everything is fine."
"No, everything isn't fine," I said, wrapping my arms around him and fisting my hands in the fabric of his hooded vest, "If I still worked there and that happened to me, would you be saying it was fine?"
I feel his arms tighten around me as if he's imagining me in place of TK on that hospital bed, "No, but you-"
I barrel on ahead, not even giving him the chance to dare say that I matter more than TK as I continue, "It's never okay when something like that happens, and the fact that those two probably won't face any consequences is bullshit.  People like that make me sick."
I take a breath and say the words, "I wish they were dead."
I know I'm past the point of no return, but I can't bring myself to care.
YB doesn't answer for a long time, then I feel his hand go under my chin to tilt my face to his.  He gives me a quick kiss before smile that particular smile of his, "You're right, they should.  Scum like them don't deserve to walk the same Earth as someone like you."  He brings me in for another kiss and for the moment we chase away the pain together.
---
I don't watch the news.  I don't want to risk watching interviews of grieving family members and friends, or stories of their promising futures as athletes cut too short.  I want my resolve to remain unbroken and firm.
So when I first learned it was done, I was sitting on the couch, leaning back with my eyes closed.  I heard the door open and close, not sure if it was Lucy or not, but I soon got my answer when I felt a weight sink on the couch as a knee rested between my legs.
I open my eyes, smiling up at YB, "Hey you."
YB smiled back, fangs showing through his wide grin and a devious glint in his eyes, "Hey.  I took care of that errand you wanted me to."
A wave of relief washes over me, and I wrap my arms around him, "You have no idea how happy that makes me."
He chuckled a little, "Oh really?  Well what are you gonna do to show your appreciation?"
I grin widely, "Oh I have a few ideas~"
I should probably feel some amount of guilt for basically asking my boyfriend to kill two people, I know this.  But I can't bring myself to do that.  There are two less assholes in the world who would harm innocent people for being themselves, and my friend can recover in peace knowing both their attackers won't come after them at work again and that their medical bills will be taken care of. (that one took a bit more convincing, but with a little hard fucking YB eventually saw reason)
In the end, if I have a super devoted obsessive yandere stalker for a boyfriend, I may as well make the most out of the situation.
