Small correction in regards to your last post: the background Concubine fiasco in Fates happened because Garon's concubines wanted to gain favor with him and ascend from just being a side-piece in his harem into being the defacto Queen of Nohr, with all the privileges and power that would entail, with them caring so little for their own children that they'd often send them into dangerous missions for their own benefit and would beat them if and when they refused; with all that in mind, it seems like the main cause for the conflict was just good old self-interest and greed, not the concubines wanting better lifes for their children.

the more I think about it, the more pissed I am at Lady Ionius's lack of existence or importane - Supreme Leader only mentions her once, when she said her dad was already married "for politics" before wooing Anselma, but unless Lady Ionius got him 8 children before he met Anselma, the guy must have had other concubines before Anselma caught his eye...

Imperial three-colour carved ‘Nine Dragon’ lacquer throne,

Qianlong period (1736-1795).

The throne is finely carved through the red lacquer to the ochre and dark green lacquer and has a stepped back separated into three vertical panels each containing dragons chasing flaming pearls amidst dense clouds.

The two side railings are similarly carved in high-relief with dragons striding amidst bats in flight and dense scrolling clouds above a rectangular seat decorated with archaistic lotus scroll and a narrow waist with a shaped apron centred with a front-facing dragon.

The back panel is carved with a bat suspending a chime and a double-fish. The whole is raised on thick rounded legs joined by rectangular base stretchers.

Game of Tomes is a writing game on Twitch that models itself after NaNoWriMo (an organization with a whole mess of problems involved with not listening to anyone under the board about anything), the former NaNo House Cup (based on the books by famous TERF JK Rowling) run on Twitter (now X), and the Song of Ice and Fire books by George R.R Martin. In was concieved by narcissist SableAradia (also known as Diane Morrison, author of A Few Good Elves, a space opera fantasy that sympathizes with both Nazis and imperialistic powers as things that are bad but formed by flawed people and we wouldn't hate them if just understood them better) and her husband Erin Righ, an actual diagnosed psychopath who occasionally forgets to take his meds and then shouts at people for imagined slights

They are aided in this endeavour by moonflower_writer, someone who seems to have joined a writing community with the sole goal of being its only member, since she has a tendency to whine about people until Sable gets tired of hearing her whine and bans them. She usually is quiet for a week or two until she finds a new target of unacceptable behavior, so arguably this almost works, but not for very long

As long as you stay far, far away from the pillars of the community and founding members, the game is a lot of fun to play. We have a lot of fun storylines we aren't paying people any money to write for us or act in, and getting involved is a oneway ticket to Abuse Town, but we do encourage participation. Particularly if you like being paid in exposure and us getting all the credit and money for something you created after we bullied you into it

I present my take on Lord Solar Leontus, Queen Victoria's Golden Throne of Praetoria. Bravely leading the Praetorian Guard into battle.

I have had so much fun working on this fantastic miniature by Midwinter Minis, Elizabeth was replaced with Victoria by the good people at Kraken Gaming.

I converted it up to look more 40k and made a unique base for her.

I am very happy with the outcome.

There are also rules for her that cover 9th and 10th edition Warhammer 40k, but these are not official.

So because of Leopold's support and the shadow assassinations by the Agarthans and Humbert , it would be irrealistic to have a civil war happen early on (as in it start during the first year of the war) despite how Edelgard's extended lmanifesto (not just the church part) screw over the nobility while at the same time screwing the church that, unlike the nobles, the civilians of Adrestia seem to somewhat give a shit about?

At least if the intent when writing a fanfic is to respect the lore/world building of Canon?

We don't see enough Adrestian civilians to even know what they think about, we heard about "missing" church people in Adrestia, but nothing about the commoners - we only hear in passing iirc Ashe talking about starvation because of the war, but idk if he's talking in general or about Adrestia.

Ferdie'n'Lysithea's paralogue tells us the randoms in Hrym and being bled dry under Ludwig's name (when he's actually framed by Thales!), and even if the game tries to avoid this topic like the plague, I still wonder where all those "war assets" are coming from, especially since the "people working" on those projects didn't hesitate a second to use Adrestians as guinea pigs (iirc Remire is in Adrestia!).

So Hubert's secret police + starvation + whatever is happening thanks to Agarthans riling people up like what happens in Hrym + Leopold being in charge of the army (that is made up of people from other places than just, Bergliez) + Hubert being Hubert, aka willingly take people hostage or threaten them to make their families comply + Supreme Leader (I mean Hubert) jailing/rekting "corrupt" nobles in the first days of her ascension to the throne...

Nopes apparently says Enbarr's people are pretty happy about the war, because they're revanchists and are hell removed from the frontlines - but what about the rest of Adrestia?

I once compared the coronation scene in CF to a coup (because Billy and Supreme Leader are accompanied by soldiers) but it would sort of match, Supreme Leader gets total control of the army through Bergliez's lust of power/conquest, control over the finances because Linhardt's dad is just like that I guess, Hubert oversees everything and, at least in FE16, Arundel still sides with her.

Aegir was neutralised, Vestra Sr was put in a trashcan, and Varley is either reduced to a puppet or to House arrest.

There are no powers left to oppose her in Adrestia, and if commoners somehow managed to rebel, they would have to deal with their very own national army, secret police and random Agarthans... on top of finding enough food to eat to survive while the ressources are given to the frontlines.

But in a way, everything I'm just saying bar the canon facts of :

having Leopold and the Army + Waldemar and the money

Hubert doing Hubert things

opposing big name nobles being swiftly deposed/neutralised just after her coronation (or before in Nopes!)

food shortages

FE16 wise : Agarthans taxing randoms to death/ Nopes : Agarthans killing people randomly

FWIW, AG where we learn a bit more about Adrestia, and how, apparently, Agarthans and bandits (?) are slaughtering randoms there, but the nobles are too concerned by the Kingdom's assault to protect their people, and would rather see them die than divert troops to, just, have the bandits/agarthans stop creating rivers of blood with the bloods of the people they're supposed to protect.

Everything else is headcanon/AUs/fanfic/however you want to call it.

So bar those points... Adrestia just exists and it's a damn shame, because even Begion managed to get its pseudo civil war between Sanaki and the Senate where commoners/people supported one over the other, but in Adrestia? Bar the BE peeps and a few dads, you have the feeling no one else exists.

FWIW, in the non CF routes, the opera company joins Billy's army iirc, so maybe they're not loyalists? And represent some people who aren't that gung-ho about the war?

i have that random headcanon that in Nopes, Manu and Mittelfrank are used for spying stuff, and actually, through Yuri and Manu herself, give intel about what happens in Enbarr to the CoS while the opera workers try to sabotage as much as they can some stuff in the Imperial Army... but that's just an AU lol

Do you think Edelgard would be worried about having children because she's worried that they might inherit her crests? That they might suffer in the way she suffered? I imagine it eats her up inside considering what happened to her and her siblings. She'll have a child or children out of obligation to her empire and her Fodlan but if she didn't have that obligation I think she'd just adopt so she can have kids without the worry of them suffering like she did :)

My 3 inspiration for Imperial Grace:

Empress Ki (Typically the MC is an Empress and not a Queen because of this show :p)

Game of Throne (I always loved political drama in medieval settings but the show really reignated my passion for those, hence Imperial Grace. Also, I have a weird love for the bitchy vibe of Cersei.)

Dragon age (And my number one inspiration is not a secret it's dragon age. All of them. The romance!!! The drama!!! The choices!!! The characters!!!!! I can't tell how much time I spend on each of those game and how they influenced my way of designing narrative experiences.).
