Grace was in the film (Conan The Destroyer) too. I liked Grace very much and I was the first person she called when she came to London a year later to do the Bond film A View To A Kill. But she was very hard work. I was responsible for choreographing all the fights, but Grace just had no concept of pulling punches. It was unbelievable. I had to pad up all the stunt guys with much more padding than was normal but she still managed to kick one of them and crack his ribs. I said, “Grace, we’re not doing this for real here. You’ve got to pull the punches.”

Watched the MLB movie and I just. I WANT to gush about it but the fact that Marinette’s regular voice actor and her singing voice actor sound SO different just took me out of it every time and left me feeling very disengaged;; At least Adrien’s singing voice kind of sounds like his speaking voice (and Gabriel’s is 👌 bc my king Keith Silverstein can actually sing and he can sing REALLY fucking well) but Marinette’s. The voices are COMPLETELY different and it threw me off every single time. Like obviously her singing voice is really good and I understand why they picked that person to do her songs but bro you could have at least TRIED to get someone that sounds similar to Cristina Vee. It drove me nuts every time she sang bc I was like “That is CLEARLY a different person entirely!!”

I’m realizing this might have been a dubbing issue but still 😭 I feel like I would have enjoyed the movie way more if it didn’t look like Marinette was lip syncing the entire time bc there was such a huge disconnect between her speaking and singing voice

since all the known creatures in his dna smoothie are symmetrical, I think there would be a shallow socket for a 4th eye that didn't end up forming.

the transitional area between human ribs and seasnake ribs is probably a little messy with the combatting genetics, there may be a few floating ribs more similar in shape to a humans, but smaller.

the spiny fin likely is able to flatten down to fit under clothes and comfortably lay on his back.

Sketch dump! I havent done one of those in a while. These are all from June-July while I was on vacation.

First we have Layal! The delightful Mother of Monsters, aka the Ghost Zone’s most evil mama bear AND my take on a fem!danyal dan! I like to imagine she could pummel Dan into the ground, but that stands true for any and all of my au Dans. Bc i am INCREDIBLY biased.

She mostly lives on her island in the Ghost Zone, taking in monsters of the Infinite Realms of all kind and raising them as her own. Surprisingly enough, she does genuinely love her children. That’s about where her love ends. She stole the minotaur, his name is Asterion.

Then we have Daini-Yel! He’s from an au i’ve never actually talked about on here. He’s literally just Danny for an Epic!-inspired au. He's an unknown entity in the newly released open-adventure, odyssesy-inspired game "Nautilus", and he is not a part of the game's code :). He showed up three months after the game's initial launch, and was discovered during a live when a streamer was on their way to fight a boss much similar to Circe and the streamer accidentally took a detour and found his pathway (of which did not previously exist).

He's very friendly! And offers you, the Captain, a strange liquid with even stranger powers called "Ektolai", in order to help you fight Circe. His whole vibe and creation is literally just the song "Wouldn't You Like" from Epic. If you run into him enough times at the start of the game, you can convince him to join you on your adventure as part of the crew. He's a powerful ally and a very good friend, despite his strange awareness of the world around him...

Oh, but be warned... just like the rest of your companions, your actions have consequences and what you do affects their opinion of you. Daini is no different! Your close allies can quickly become enemies.

Haven't drawn anything so have these Bedman designs I did a while ago!

I wanted to design an outfit for him he could be wearing if he lived and was awake like Delilah. The intention is that he would resemble his bed and wear comfy clothes he could sleep in. The jacket contrasts this, maybe it was an expensive item he saved up for.

The top ref sheet came from frustration I wanted to get rid of by experimenting with art style/stylisation.
