“Don't let Chrome's big redesign distract you from the fact that Chrome's invasive new ad platform, ridiculously branded the "Privacy Sandbox," is also getting a widespread rollout in Chrome today. If you haven't been following this, this feature will track the web pages you visit and generate a list of advertising topics that it will share with web pages whenever they ask, and it's built directly into the Chrome browser. It's been in the news previously as "FLoC" and then the "Topics API," and despite widespread opposition from just about every non-advertiser in the world, Google owns Chrome and is one of the world's biggest advertising companies, so this is being railroaded into the production builds.”
Switch. To. Firefox.
“Did any user in the world want a user-tracking and ad platform baked directly into their browser? Probably not, but this is Google, and they control Chrome, and this probably still won't make people switch to Firefox.”
But seriously, guys.

I'd love to have the time and energy to synthesize all my Master Gardeners' class materials into good posts, but I don't, so here's a couple things from my entomology presentation, which I'm watching the recording of (honestly guys their online class system is slick as hell).
One: the lady beetles (lady bugs, colloquially) that you can order online are the Asian variety. They're not the native variety. They're still good generalist predators, and they're pretty thoroughly naturalized in North America now. (Naturalized: successfully established and reproducing in their non-native environment.) That said, the Extension Services still doesn't recommend buying them, because the conditions in which they were raised might introduce diseases, which might then be passed on to the native populations in your environment.
More generally, expert advice on encouraging animals ranging from insects up through quail and pheasants is increasingly to create and maintain habitat so that the critters show up on their own, rather than to introduce captive-raised animals. I know that introducing the animal feels like doing more, but the evidence is against it being effective. I know, it annoys me too. I know for quail and pheasants, there were big programs aimed at raising and releasing the birds, because they're popular game birds, and those programs are now winding down and shifting focus, because captive raised birds just don't survive to raise the next generation. So at best what you're actually encouraging is your target animal's predators.
Anyway. We were talking about insects.
Two: Yes, several species of non-native mantis insects are naturalized in North America now. It's fine to leave them alone and be happy about them. They're good generalist predators, and there's no evidence so far that they negatively impact the native mantises. As above, they don't suggest buying mantises to introduce, but the ones that are already in your environment are fine.
I guess both tie into a broader point, which is that invasive species have two criteria. They must be non-native, but they must also be detrimental to the native species in an area. A non-native that doesn't negatively impact the environment, such as dandelions, say, is not invasive. It may not have many ties in the food web of the area, like for example only being of use to generalist pollinators, but that doesn't mean it's harmful. A plant that is native but can outcompete other plants in an area is aggressive, not invasive.
Whether non-native plants and animals can have a positive role in environments is a topic that even the experts are still hotly debating, but certainly non-native does not automatically mean invasive.
Oh. In case it needs to be said, generalist: able to make use of a variety of resources. I.E. Apis mellifera, the European honey bee, that can get nectar and pollen from many different plants. MOST native insects are specialists, meaning they can only survive using one variety of plant. For example, the Monarch butterfly, whose caterpillars are specialized to feed on milkweed.
And THAT, my friends, is why native plants matter. Not for a nice idea, not for looks, not for some impossible ideal of a single state of environmental being. But because they are the base of the food web, and native plants are what has a relationship with native insects.
This post could be reordered a lot for clarity but I ent gonna do that, so good luck and you know where my inbox is I guess.

big things happening on roblox right now
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hiding this under Keep Reading coz this is more me rambling than anything
art block has been kicking my AAAASSSSS yadda yadda ... i think i was just getting bored of drawing ... and i figured What better way to drag myself out of it than to finally do what i've been putting off for ages: make mock graffiti for my music venue-inspired Work At A Pizza Place house! here's where it started... lately (and by 'lately' i mean since about 6am yesterday) i've been reading a lot about Punk subculture in Malaysia ... originally for oc reseaech purposes (would you believe me if i said this is also in[?]directly related to mayday) but then i got super sucked into older blogs containing. like. insanely fascinating stuff (history, articles, zine scans, etc) ... i came across some graffiti in one picture in particular of a punk venue called Rumah Api -- and that's where the names up there come from. i wish i knew if they were perhaps a band or a group of friends or something similar... but. back on-topic. Soooo that's the wall in the first image; made it in csp with the Next Ups Regular font (i tried doing the lettering myself several times but it did NOT look right) and colored it in + some manually drawn doodles and graphics and stuff , and some cut up images of already graffiti'd-up walls i found on pinterest. very proud of it Especially considering it's something people will always see Should they decide to break into my house ... even if roblox did butcher the quality of it a little. i had to chop it into SIX SQUARES to preserve its integrity dude
As for the Second image! Mayday! that is the mayday echo chamber located Above the venue on the third floor. i'm thinking about remodeling it so that the room isn't a straight-up box... but it's not too pressing of a matter for now. anyways... thank you for reading

Hey hey! Wyrd told me you trained your dog to help with executive dysfunction stickyness/ repetitive action and I would LOVE to know how you trained this. I am training my pet to do a few in-home things before I get my prospect in hopefully this year
Oh, hi! There's a longer post about this topic elsewhere in my Matilda tag you might want to check out.
A lot of my training approach is informed by the experimenting I did with alarms that interact with other senses besides acoustics during COVID. I got completely nonresponsive to phone alarms and things, and I was under a truly catastrophic amount of stress related to my PhD at the time, so my general functioning wasn't great and I really NEEDED external cues to trigger basic daily tasks. Unfortunately I have a pretty impressive ability to hyperfocus right past obnoxious alarms, and worse, I am very very good at absently turning alarms off or mimicking paying attention without actually pulling my focus away from the subject of my attention. You get a 5-30sec buffer of retained information for the purposes of holding up a conversation which I am continuously dumping. I am not necessarily doing it consciously, but that doesn't make it not frustrating. Especially because if a human does get my attention, many years of RSD tends to set me at hyper defensive right out of the gate. That's not ideal for a bunch of reasons.
Anyway, I found that vibration or tactile stimuli, as well as visual stimuli (I rigged a disco lamp to turn on at hourly intervals in a desperate attempt to track the passage of time), worked quite well to capture my attention and let me step out of hyperfocus enough to do the next thing. I figured eventually I would have to see humans in their meat suits again and people get weird about shit like this, so I needed something relatively discreet and quiet that shouldn't be disruptive to anyone else. I started thinking about building myself aids.
So the first idea I had was to just program a series of alarms into a smartwatch that could automatically attach them to alerts from my gcal, but it turns out that they don't have an api function that hooks up to stuff like "make watch buzz" and I ran out of bandwidth to deal with it. It eventually just seemed easier to train an entire dog to respond to a quiet alarm than to fight with the hardware and software to make a really good buzzwatch. I use a couple of different alarm ring tones to cue different actions just as you might train any dog to a word: this one means we go to the bedroom, that one means that if you take meds I get candy, and so forth. The actual sound of the alarm is a cue in its own right. I have some discussion in that other post about how I encouraged my dog to essentially play a game with me where she had to figure out how to get my attention without hurting (aka NO SCREAMING WITH YOUR VERY LOUD HIGH PITCHED BARK). Essentially, I'm shaping that out of whatever behaviors she offers me that successfully catch my attention, defined operationally to her as "standing up + sustained eye contact."
In terms of catching me when I'm tending to get stuck on something or stationary without moving, that one is less "Yes I and my dog are amazing and I've trained her to read my mind" and more "I don't make eye contact when I'm dissociating and I almost always am staring into my phone." So if Matilda catches me drifting across the kitchen glued to phone, she knows that if she rockets up and nudges me into paying attention to my body, she'll get a reward. Consequentially, she's a bit enthusiastic about this one and will sometimes ram passersby with her nose, so definitely figure out your failure modes before you teach the dogs anything.

Anon wrote: hello! thank you for running this blog. i hope your vacation was well-spent!
i am an enfp in the third year of my engineering degree. i had initially wanted to do literature and become an author. however, due to the job security associated with this field, my parents got me to do computer science, specialising in artificial intelligence. i did think it was the end of my life at the time, but eventually convinced myself otherwise. after all, i could still continue reading and writing as hobbies.
now, three years in, i am having the same thoughts again. i've been feeling disillusioned from the whole gen-ai thing due to art theft issues and people using it to bypass - dare i say, outsource - creative work. also, the environmental impact of this technology is astounding. yet, every instructor tells us to use ai to get information that could easily be looked up in textbooks or google. what makes it worse is that i recently lost an essay competition to a guy who i know for a fact used chatgpt.
i can't help feeling that by working in this industry, i am becoming a part of the problem. at the same time, i feel like a conservative old person who is rejecting modern technology and griping about 'the good old days'.
another thing is that college work is just so all-consuming and tiring that i've barely read or written anything non-academic in the past few years. quitting my job and becoming a writer a few years down the road is seeming more and more like a doomed possibility.
i've been trying to do what i can at my level. i write articles about ethical considerations in ai for the college newsletter. i am in a technical events club, and am planning out an artificial intelligence introductory workshop for juniors where i will include these topics, if approved by the superiors.
from what i've read on your blog, it doesn't seem like you have a very high opinion of ai, either, but i've only seen you address it in terms of writing. i'd like to know, are there any ai applications that you find beneficial? i think that now that i am here, i could try to make a difference by working on projects that actually help people, rather than use some chatgpt api to do the same things, repackaged. i just felt like i need the perspective of someone who thinks differently than all those around me. not in a 'feed my tunnel-vision' way, but in a 'tell me i'm not stupid' way.
----------------------
It's kind of interesting (in the "isn't life whacky?" sort of way) you chose the one field that has the potential to decimate the field that you actually wanted to be in. I certainly understand your inner conflict and I'll give you my personal views, but I don't know how much they will help your decision making.
I'm of course concerned about the ramifications on writing not just because I'm a writer but because, from the perspective of education and personal growth, I understand the enormous value of writing skills. Learning to write analytically is challenging. I've witnessed many people meet that challenge bravely, and in the process, they became much more intelligent and thoughtful human beings, better able to contribute positively to society. So, it pains me to see the attitude of "don't have to learn it cuz the machine does it". However, writing doesn't encompass my full view on AI.
I wouldn't necessarily stereotype people who are against new technology as "old and conservative", though some of them are. My parents taught me to be an early adopter of new tech, but it doesn't mean I don't have reservations about it. I think, psychologically, the main reason people resist is because of the real threat it poses. Historically, we like to gloss over the real human suffering that results from technological advancement. But it is a reasonable and legitimate response to resist something that threatens your livelihood and even your very existence.
For example, it is already difficult enough to make a living in the arts, and AI just might make it impossible. Even if you do come up with something genuinely creative and valuable, how are you going to make a living with it? As soon as creative products are digitized, they just get scraped up, regurgitated, and disseminated to the masses with no credit or compensation given to the original creator. It's cannibalism. Cannibalism isn't sustainable.
I wonder if people can seriously imagine a society where human creativity in the arts has been made obsolete and people only have exposure to AI creation. There are plenty of people who don't fully grasp the value of human creativity, so they wouldn't mind it, but I would personally consider it to be a kind of hell.
I occasionally mention that my true passion is researching "meaning" and how people come to imbue their life with a sense of meaning. Creativity has a major role to play in 1) almost everything that makes life/living feel worthwhile, 2) generating a culture that is worth honoring and preserving, and 3) building a society that is worthy of devoting our efforts to.
Living in a capitalist society that treats people as mere tools of productivity and treats education as a mere means to a paycheck already robs us of so much meaning. In many ways, AI is a logical result of that mindset, of trying to "extract" whatever value humans have left to offer, until we are nothing but empty shells.
I don't think it's a coincidence that AI comes out of a society that devalues humanity to the point where a troubling portion of the population suffers marginalization, mental disorder, and/or feels existentially empty. Many of the arguments I've heard from AI proponents about how it can improve life sound to me like they're actually going to accelerate spiritual starvation.
Existential concerns are serious enough, before we even get to the environmental concerns. For me, environment is the biggest reason to be suspicious of AI and its true cost. I think too many people are unaware of the environmental impact of computing and networking in general, let alone running AI systems. I recently read about how much energy it takes to store all the forgotten chats, memes, and posts on social media. AI ramps up carbon emissions dramatically and wastes an already dwindling supply of fresh water.
Can we really afford a mass experiment with AI at a time when we are already hurtling toward climate catastrophe? When you think about how much AI is used for trivial entertainment or pointless busywork, it doesn't seem worth the environmental cost. I care about this enough that I try to reduce my digital footprint. But I'm just one person and most of the population is trending the other way.
With respect to integrating AI into personal life or everyday living, I struggle to see the value, often because those who might benefit the most are the ones who don't have access. Yes, I've seen some people have success with using AI to plan and organize, but I also always secretly wonder at how their life got to the point of needing that much outside help. Sure, AI may help with certain disadvantages such as learning or physical disabilities, but this segment of the population is usually the last to reap the benefits of technology.
More often than not, I see people using AI to lie, cheat, steal, and protect their own privilege. It's particularly sad for me to see people lying to themselves, e.g., believing that they're smart for using AI when they're actually making themselves stupider, or thinking that an AI companion can replace real human relationship.
I continue to believe that releasing AI into the wild, without developing proper safeguards, was the biggest mistake made so far. The revolts at OpenAI prove, once again, that companies cannot be trusted to regulate themselves. Tech companies need a constant stream of data to feed the beast and they're willing to sacrifice our well-being to do it. It seems the only thing we can do as individuals is stop offering up our data, but that's not going to happen en masse.
Even though you're aware of these issues, I want to mention them for those who aren't, and for the sake of emphasizing just how important it is to regulate AI and limit its use to the things that are most likely to produce a benefit to humanity, in terms of actually improving quality of human life in concrete terms.
In my opinion, the most worthwhile place to use AI is medicine and medical research. For example, aggregating and analyzing information for doctors, assisting surgeons with difficult procedures, and coming up with new possibilities for vaccines, treatments, and cures is where I'd like to see AI shine. I'd also love to see AI applied to:
scientific research, to help scientists sort, manage, and process huge amounts of information
educational resources, to help learners find quality information more efficiently, rather than feeding them misinformation
engineering and design, to build more sustainable infrastructure
space exploration, to find better ways of traveling through space or surviving on other planets
statistical analysis, to help policymakers take a more objective look at whether solutions are actually working as intended, as opposed to being blinded by wishful thinking, bias, hubris, or ideology (I recognize this point is controversial since AI can be biased as well)
Even though you work in the field, you're still only one person, so you don't have that much more power than anyone else to change its direction. There's no putting the worms back in the can at this point. I agree with you that, for the sake of your well-being, staying in the field means choosing your work carefully. However, if you want to work for an organization that doesn't sacrifice people at the altar of profit, it might be slim pickings and the pay might not be great. Staying true to your values can be costly too.

Wow i actually have enough rendered pieces to make an art summary this year. Just barely tho
Ramble below, also template ref
Oh god where do i even start. This is the part where i reflect on myself and do nothing about it afterwards.
In thems of topics, it's mostly just apex d2 and wf. I've never made my own world and characters because most ideas that i have the motivation to make into art comes from me playing the game. Maybe that's why I don't really treat a lot of my original character as "original characters", because they're still bound to a game instead of, you know, born out of the blue i guess.
I barely did render this year... I mean, not just this year of course. I think I slightly got the hang of it these two months? At least I kinda have a pipeline that I can follow and could tolerate / fix some of my mistakes in the later stages (e.g., picking wrong colors for flat color and wanna fix it during rendering etc.). It's... kinda like OOP? Decoupling code? I think it just comes down to opening a million layers and not feeling bad about it. Anyway I think one of my improvements comes from here.
Another improvement would be the speed of doing sketches and the complexity of the lineart I can handle (idk how to say that). I need to draw comics and there would be a lot of people in there, so even if I don't practice specifically I still need to draw some human figures. The complexity part is due to me getting into warframe just because of how fucking complicated they all are. Maybe instead of lineart complexity I should say I'm comfortable drawing somewhat complex characters now without my brain overloading and immediately giving up. Still haven't drawn BT though.
That's probably all the obvious improvements I can think of. I didn't read as many books as last year, but the two main books I read last year are for perspective and anatomy, which I do find very very useful. I still often go back to check some anatomy stuff this year, and with me spam drawing comics I think I can draw human figures better than before... if I only consider proportion that is. I think I have to redo anatomy all over again especially for the muscle part. Also probably should do more real human reference practice... Well, you can probably guess why I said that at the start.
I do think the reason why I do so little rendering is because I mostly do comics. Most of my ideas have a plot and my idea list is waaaaay too long to actually color the comics. And as I feel more comfortable drawing comics I fear more when I wanna do rendering because of the skill gap I have between the two subjects. Also most of you come for silly comics so why do I do full rendered pieces anyways... Yeah, after typing that sentence I do feel wrong thinking like that. But oh well, I guess I can't escape the curse of liking to see numbers go up.
Speaking of numbers, here's some of them. Good thing I don't have to deal with Tumblr API myself.
Tumblr media
That's... quite a lot of followers, for me. I mean I don't stay in only one fandom so I have no idea why most of you followed me. Also sorry to ultrakill fans I just don't draw a lot for that game but I see some of you liking a ton of ultrakill post and immediately follows me. Kinda felt that I baited you folks for following me tbh...
Also 3 of my top 5 posts (2234 > 1726 > 1641 > 1531 > 1321) are ultrakill and I only have 27 ultrakill art posts (a lot fewer than other games) so... um, maaaaybe you should consider unfollowing me to clean up your timeline...?
Aaand here are the note stats per month because I've already typed this much so why not just include literally everything in one post
Tumblr media
The only thing I can analyze is that the note and post number started to lose correlation due to how much ramble shitpost I have these months.
Okay that's it. I intended to make another art summary for the lineart / unrendered art pieces, but there's just too many to choose from and I don't think you can infer more from these given that the rendered pieces already has lineart in them. Mostly.

Sorry if this is completely off topic, but I admire you sharing the github for this. Where did you look for figuring out tumblr's api? I run a different gimmick blog that isn't for polls and while I've definitely thought about automating it a bit before, I have no idea where to begin. I can do some base coding, so I'm not entirely out of my depths, but interacting with tumblr that isn't though normal user options is out of my league. Ty for both whatever advice you may have and running this blog in general, it's honestly really fun
I will admit that I'm not quite a stranger to Tumblr's API, as I had to figure out how to get it working for @postsofbabel a bit ago, but I'm not the most experienced person ever.
Ultimately, the exact details will change from coding language to coding language, but the first thing you want to do is register an application here. This is the only way to get the credentials that you need in order to interact with the Tumblr API. Next, you need to put the two things it generated into the API console here. While this documentation on the API is pretty comprehensive, this section is probably the only one you need to look at. If you're using tumblr.js, tumblr.php (I think?), or any unofficial fork that supports NPF, like pytumblr2, then it's also probably a good idea to check the NPF specification docs as well. They're pretty comprehensive too, but they don't have ANY information about polls. Which is annoying.

Hey, on the topic of creature types and legends, what's the largest creature type to not have a legend?
This is definitely a problem solvable via the Scryfall API and some Java or whatever, but I'll fuss about with it by hand. Technically, none, since there's 4* commanders with changeling, but we're not messing around with that.
Here's the types with no legends I found.
Dauthi - 11 creatures
Assembly-Worker - 12 creatures
Lhurgoyf - 12 creatures
Licid - 12 creatures
Manticore - 12 creatures
Basilisk - 13 creatures
Goat - 14 creatures
Ouphe - 17 creatures
Leech - 19 creatures
Ox - 19 creatures
Pegasus - 22 creatures
Jackal - 25 creatures
Thrull - 25 creatures
Gargoyle - 35 creatures
Kavu - 47 creatures
Drone - 65 creatures
Drake - 103 creatures

How to Learn Effectively?
(Tips and tricks!)
1. Apply Pomodoro technique, that is, study for 25 minutes and then take rest for 5 minutes. Do not look at your cellphone in this time, rather go, have a walk to refresh your mind. After 4 sessions, take a long break. Or you can modify it according to your convenience, e.g., study for 50 minutes and take rest for 10 minutes. It's okay to study less, but you have to get deeply absorbed into what you're studying.
2. Imagine the topic as you're studying. Use analogy and visualization. For example, "What is API?" Imagine a restaurant where the kitchen is the backend, and where you sit to eat is the frontend, now API is the waiter who takes your order, goes to kitchen and bring you ready food!
3. Take notes as you're learning, then freshly rewrite it in an organized way on your notebook.
4. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. For example, a math or figure drawing requires practice. Now do it without having a look at the solution. You'll make mistakes, but then you'll get to see your weakness, where you need to improve. Practice is boring but it's the most effective way.
5. Try to have at least 8 hours of sleep at night. Sleep helps consolidate memories by strengthening synaptic connections formed during the day, making temporary information more likely to be stored in long-term memory. So, it's a must for effective learning.
6. When you're bored, pick an interesting topic. When you're stuck, skip the topic and move ahead. But don't give up.
7. Study consistently. No matter how little you study, it's better than not studying at all.
"My advice is, never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time." — Charles Dickens

Finds it funny that Tommy gets tools mixed up. Probably never thought about his gender (too busy thinking about inventions) until being stuck in a room with Tommy during a time she(Tommy) was hyperfixating on xenogenders and info-dumped to Tubbo, and that was when he(Tubbo) realised he didn't really feel that connected to the idea of being a guy (or something)

༄~𖦹︎ Duo notes (If Applicable) ➪ Tommy probably comes up with insane and ridiculous ideas for machines but has zero understanding on how to make it so suggests it to Tubbo who then says "fuck yeah" after hearing the most work-unsafety disregarding all regulations machine idea. Also Tommy got banned from entering the lab (making things room!!!) because he somehow magically breaks everything and nothing works anymore so now he has to sit outside in the dirt and wait (usually Tubbo caves and comes out to work on small things outside or lets him into the lab then regrets it when everything breaks spontaneously, something probably explodes or spontaneously combusts the moment he enters the lab). There is a paper taped to the wall next to the door of the lab which says "Days since Tommy was last directly responsible for a lab accident" the highest number it had ever gotten to was 3 because he got a horrible fever one time and couldn't make it to the lab, where a number would be is a scratched up scribble because of all the times Tubbo had to cross out the "1" on the paper. Tommy probably also used to help out by passing Tubbo the tools he asked for but would always pass the wrong tool. They're married, qpr? Idk, they might kiss (or might not) but it's not gay or anything /silly

Has probably responded to someone asking what his 'origin' was with "I'm a fucking bird. Tweet tweet motherfucker"

i'm kind of fascinated by the amount of editing that goes into the creation of 'egirl face'. the process reminds me a bit of purikura photo booth edits in that the look seeks to not replicate the seamlessness of evenly applied foundation or magazine-standard photoshop, but a kind of low-res uncannyness. while i'm sure there's a non-insignificant contingent of girls who like to wear makeup like this in their day to day, 'egirl face' being a phenomena exists largely behind webcams and phone cameras gives an avatar-like quality to the whole performance. low megapixel resolution, lack of API optimization from third party apps and light filters are as necessary a topical application as physical makeup in constructing the image of the egirl. the sharp mascara jutting out of a digitized blur of blush, foundation and concealer that would normally signal some kind of augmented falsehood is given a life of it's own by the motions of platforms like tiktok, whose editing features allow a girl to further submerse herself in the online play of the egirl. this too, is cyberpunk.

Symfony Clickjacking Prevention Guide
Clickjacking is a deceptive technique where attackers trick users into clicking on hidden elements, potentially leading to unauthorized actions. As a Symfony developer, it's crucial to implement measures to prevent such vulnerabilities.
Tumblr media
🔍 Understanding Clickjacking
Clickjacking involves embedding a transparent iframe over a legitimate webpage, deceiving users into interacting with hidden content. This can lead to unauthorized actions, such as changing account settings or initiating transactions.
🛠️ Implementing X-Frame-Options in Symfony
The X-Frame-Options HTTP header is a primary defense against clickjacking. It controls whether a browser should be allowed to render a page in a <frame>, <iframe>, <embed>, or <object> tag.
Method 1: Using an Event Subscriber
Create an event subscriber to add the X-Frame-Options header to all responses:
// src/EventSubscriber/ClickjackingProtectionSubscriber.php namespace App\EventSubscriber; use Symfony\Component\EventDispatcher\EventSubscriberInterface; use Symfony\Component\HttpKernel\Event\ResponseEvent; use Symfony\Component\HttpKernel\KernelEvents; class ClickjackingProtectionSubscriber implements EventSubscriberInterface { public static function getSubscribedEvents() { return [ KernelEvents::RESPONSE => 'onKernelResponse', ]; } public function onKernelResponse(ResponseEvent $event) { $response = $event->getResponse(); $response->headers->set('X-Frame-Options', 'DENY'); } }
This approach ensures that all responses include the X-Frame-Options header, preventing the page from being embedded in frames or iframes.
Method 2: Using NelmioSecurityBundle
The NelmioSecurityBundle provides additional security features for Symfony applications, including clickjacking protection.
Install the bundle:
composer require nelmio/security-bundle
Configure the bundle in config/packages/nelmio_security.yaml:
nelmio_security: clickjacking: paths: '^/.*': DENY
This configuration adds the X-Frame-Options: DENY header to all responses, preventing the site from being embedded in frames or iframes.
🧪 Testing Your Application
To ensure your application is protected against clickjacking, use our Website Vulnerability Scanner. This tool scans your website for common vulnerabilities, including missing or misconfigured X-Frame-Options headers.

🔒 Enhancing Security with Content Security Policy (CSP)
While X-Frame-Options is effective, modern browsers support the more flexible Content-Security-Policy (CSP) header, which provides granular control over framing.
Add the following header to your responses:
$response->headers->set('Content-Security-Policy', "frame-ancestors 'none';");
This directive prevents any domain from embedding your content, offering robust protection against clickjacking.
🧰 Additional Security Measures
CSRF Protection: Ensure that all forms include CSRF tokens to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks.
Regular Updates: Keep Symfony and all dependencies up to date to patch known vulnerabilities.
Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
