this is for all those college au's! I'm an american student going to a private college and ik some writers like to write college au's even if they don't go to college so yeah!

the carton milk during breakfast is not good. actually worse than the milk my high school had. the milk just sits out in a tray with ice, bought it once. consistency of slime. tuition is 50k ffs

I live in one of the older dorms, the paint is peeling, there was a dead cockroach, windows that face walls, microwave and mini fridge, a desk, tiny closet, and a bed for like 6k

as a freshman, I had to attend a bunch of mandatory meetings at the beginning of the year that basically amounted to "you're in college now" inspirational speech

I live in a dorm that is mainly freshman and we have occasional one on one meetings (like 5-15 min) with our ra to talk about how we're adjusting or doing socially, emotionally, and academically

the walls are thin

ppl play music really loud in the bathroom, my room is directly in front of the bathroom so I can hear it. all of it.

good news, I don't have to listen to ppl fucking bc my school is religiously affiliated and the dorms have sex-segragation either by building or by floor

bad news, the not listening to ppl fucking is out of sheer luck bc looking at the social media, ppl are horny af

the professors so far have been way better at acknowledging and validating mental health issues than high school

comedy improv shows late at night on Fridays that hilariously contrast with the whole "religiously affiliated private school" image

more than once saying "we don't tell my therapist about this" while staying up late doing dumb shit (like binging an anime on a school night or completing a jigsaw) or having a meal they wouldn't approve of

making friends is hard

why is the ac so shitty

as always, clear difference between the stem buildings and the humanities buildings. the art building is literally outside in the open, science building has a bunch of glass rooms and an elevator??

the art students will not forget about the Incident, involving a homeless man who tried to live in the art department bathroom

Not accessible at all for wheelchair users or the physically impaired. So many stairs. You can call for a golf cart escort to class but it still takes a hit second

Lots of events happen both during and after class during the school week, but there's always hardly any worthwhile weekend events

there's a leaky roof in one of the art rooms

certain food places are supposed to be open at certain times, but they aren't (especially if they're supposed to be open at like 7am, like they are never open that early even though they're supposed to be)

generally reliable opening and closing times list of the main food places are available, but you have to hunt them down and find them on campus because the info is not available online

the info online about when the bookstore opens or closes is wrong

food trucks on the opposite side of campus near the science and art buildings for hungry students after class

no parking spaces, ever, and there's like 2k students and not all of them have a car

professors playing uncensored music

the amount of dogs I see on walks, they're so happy

bunch of cats on campus that just roam around, used to be feral and were spayed/neutered. students love them

therapy dog that students also love

weird realization that some freshman are already like 20 and some peeps in beginner/intro classes are sophomores or juniors too

laundry room is usually full unless it's past 6 pm or before 10am

have to do dishes in the bathroom sink

no kitchen in the dorm rooms (some have a kitchen sink in the lobby but that's it) unless it's an apartment style dorm

$12 for a dozen eggs on campus

can't graduate early because scholarship stipulates four years there

it's easier to stay up late than it is to get up early

p much no dress code on campus unless the class requires a specific type of dress

finals week is called dead week, you can and will get fined for being too loud late at night and early in the morning. everyone is studying or working.

Somewhere in Manila, 2078

“It is pretty nice here,” V said, and Kerry put his arm around him, pulling him a bit closer as he turned his head to look at him.

“C’mon, just ‘pretty nice’?” he asked grinning.

“Okay, it’s beautiful, breathtaking, astounding!” V said and Kerry chuckled, “You weren’t exaggerating.”

“And this is just the hotel! Wait ‘til you see the city. And the beaches! But we gotta drive a little to get to the better ones. Nothin’ beats the one in Tangalan anyway, but that’ll have to wait 'til next week…”

Kerry went on rambling about all they had planned, everything he wanted to show V, parties and events they could go to, the secret spots only he and maybe a handful of other people knew. Some of it all sounded quite adventurous, and V still struggled to imagine Kerry clambering through the jungle to get to some of these extra special hidden gems. But his excitement was downright infectious. Truly just adorable. V was relieved to see Kerry so genuinely happy again, too, the stress of the last weeks really had been weighing him down. Getting ready for this trip in the background had been his sole motivator for staying on top of the mountain of promo events for his album.

Just three more interviews before we can get on the plane. Just this one photoshoot, and then I can finally start packing my stuff. That one private show, that one industry party, that one red carpet, and then Lee can kiss my ass and we’ll fuck off across the Pacific.

Being here now finally, chilling at the hotel bar and recovering from the long flight, still felt somewhat surreal.

“… - and we really gotta go to Quinta Market later. Gonna cure your resentment to street food there once and for all.”

Kerry took a sip of his drink, then looked back at V, who had been watching him the whole time, a little tired and absentmindedly, but full of affection.

“What?” he asked, frowning slightly, but kept up his smile, the silver lines around his eyes and down his cheeks sparkling in the setting sun.

“Nothin’,” V said, “I’m happy you’re happy to be back here, is all.”

Kerry leaned over and gave him a quick kiss.

“I’m happy you’re here with me,” he said, “That’s all that matters.”

I didn't forget to take a pic of my setup at least this time XD I set this up at Denny's pool (free of concrete thankfully), because there is little distracting Night City scenery in the background that would destroy the illusion of this not being Night City xD But admittedly, the setup was a little rushed bc I just wanted to do some fluffy pics. I could actually spend hours setting up my scenes with all the awesome props I keep discovering o.o

Also: I had Kerry's summer vibes outfit ready since early June, but just didn't get around to doing anything with it until two weeks ago, AND THEN I didn't have time to edit the pics because other stuff kept grabbing my attention instead xD

But there is more to come, I have a whole lot more summer pics ready, all incredibly fluffy... because I need some fluff and knowing they have this in their future waiting for them, while on the side I'm writing the most angsty fic with constant dread and setbacks and death looming on the horizon, you know XD

I try to! I’m normally active right away when I first publish a fic bc I wanna see reactions to it 👀 I just imagine the person who writes the comment is like “I bet they’ll never see this” but responding to them I’m saying “yes! I see and appreciate your comment that you left 🥺”

I don’t write a lot of angst endings but I guess the one that comes closest is “An Opening Scene” (which is my version of how an opening scene to a new Jatp season would be)

Luckily no one has! People have just always been genuinely kind and positive with their comments and kudos/votes with what I write 🥺

Personally I don’t, I may imply things but I only ever leave it at I just leave those to your imagination if you will 💀

The WIP I’ve had for the LONGEST TIME is one where I had this idea for like a Willex date but it turns into like Juke date too so it’s double date kind of thing, this is the lil note I have in the document for it that’s to myself so I don’t forget what it’s about,

It’s just been a WIP for so long at this point 😭

16. What are your writing strengths?

I like to say that “I think in dialogue” when it comes to writing bc whenever I’m writing anything in my head, the dialogue is more prominent than the imagery in my brain. To me, it’s easier to hear how characters interact with one another in my head compared to what’s happening visually.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

To me, it’s hard to do description and not just make it a giant wall of text bc in books when I see that I find it distracting at times if it’s just like description over and over again, it does depend on the wording and if it’s “boring” or not. I just don’t want to make scenes that feel boring, I want to keep the reader invested.

It’s hard for me to fully translate what’s in my head into visual words

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I’m not against it I just haven’t done it all too often

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I was in 7th grade, became obsessed with Miraculous Ladybug, had already written like 3 fics on paper (most during class) but I decided that wasn’t enough and sought out like fics online and discovered wattpad which is when I had the thought “I wonder if someone has already written this thing that I want to read?” And no one had in the specific way I wanted to read about so I wrote it myself… …when I was like 13… …so it’s not great and I cringe a lot when I look back at it but I still maintain that book to this day :) it’s a nice lil time capsule of like how my writing has involved and I continue to have ideas for it

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

“Right Where I Need To Be” (my Jatp Camp Rock AU) has a special place in my heart bc it basically was the first multi-chapter fic I’ve ever done especially for Jatp. I just had such a fun time with the AU and all the dynamics there were to be made. The comment reactions were so fun to get and I looked forward to reading them whenever I published a new part! (it do still be on hiatus 💀 I haven’t forgotten about it! It’s just life gets in the way but I have some parts written for the like “part 2” of it I just want them to be more put together before I release them)

I do also have a couple one shots I made for Miraculous that I look back on and I’m like “oh that’s a good one 🥰”

im stuck in an aki brainrot rn and was literally hoping u liked him (now im manifesting you writing for him in the future)

YES i love my topknot boy so much he is one of my faves actually!! :( but just like nanami i have drafts for him that i keep forgetting to write 😭 i blame gojo for distracting me lol his presence floods the drafts

but i have this fic idea of the reader being assigned as aki's partner, and he absolutely loathes you at first because you're wayyy too bubbly and loud for his poor quiet and brooding self, and you also refuse to take this devil hunter profession seriously (and omg it annoys him that u call him aki and not his senior title).

but he warms up to you eventually, yk enemies-to-lovers type beat. develops a soft spot for you. falls in love even though it goes against his firm beliefs and self-discipline, and he ties his hands behind his back. but at the same time he's curious because he's never really been in love before or let himself enjoy someone's company. and he's never looked at someone tenderly before yk usually those eyes are blank and soulless. he just feels the need to protect you during missions. freaks out when you get hurt by a devil, which is funny because in the beginning he was so cold and genuinely didn't care if you got hurt. maybe there's a scene where he shares a cigarette with you and you're stargazing, but he's giving needy sideways glances at your lips and he's too mortified to ask if he can kiss u and THEN HE MAKES IT SO AWKWARD BY CLASHING LIPS WITH U AND IT'S EMBARRASSING BC IN MY HEAD I IMAGINE HIM AS A TOTAL CLUMSY DORK WHO CAN'T KISS OR FLIRT 😭 like if u flirt with aki he will freeze up and choke and stutter and become utterly speechless.

FIRSTLY omg those headcanons cracked me up bc Ace/Sabo would def just be so distracted. Like Ace walking into a mast bc you took your shirt off while working bc it was hot and now he's just passed out on the ground (with Marco in the bg just laughing and shaking his head) Omg and Marco turning into a bird. That would be HILAROUS. Baby Marco was so cute and silly I can just see the tiny little bird he'd turn into. Omg you give him a hug randomly to thank him for something and bam, bird.

OKAY SO I was reading Marco stuffs last night trying to slowly push Sabo out a LITTLE bc my god was he taking up a lot of brain space and now they're just both in there UGH.

I'd say rn in my brain it's Law/Marco/Sabo/Ace and I was thinking last night it's interesting bc while Law doesn't really have anything with the other 3, there's perfect little things in an AU where he could just interact with any of the other 3 and idk man why have one when you can have more than one >> I have expanded in my brain poly with law/marco, or marco/sabo, or tbh sometimes law/marco/ace but my brain is currently considering law/sabo and I'm like hm. That is an interesting dynamic and idk how much it makes sense but I will continue to think about it.... I can't think of a good basis for them to be around eachother in an AU. Like Law/Marco tbh I read a fic on them as doctors so that got me and then the whole brother thing with Sabo/Marco but uh... hm. I will continue to think about Law/Sabo.

One more random thought that I thought while reading fanfic last night: I wanna bite Marco That man is too composed I can just see it throwing him off guard even if it doesn't leave a mark and even if he punishes the heck out afterwords (bc doing it in the middle of the ship would be the funniest, and not at all a bet with ace/izou/thatch, noooo)

Sabo/Law… I’ve seen that pairing (thank you Dressrosa for causing their paths to cross canonically)

They could be college classmates - there’s general courses overlap between degrees, and Sabo is a Lawyer in modern AUs in my mind.

(Oh gods could you see this cheesy blonde bastard straddling Law and pulling off his shirt. “Don’t worry, I have a PhD in Law, you’ll enjoy what I do to you.”

Poor Law is like I need you to fuck me until I forget you made that awful joke.)

Maybe it’s a meet cute deal if we’re talking threesome with the reader. They all frequent the same cafe.

Sabo’s already working in a firm finishing up his degree. Law’s in a similar boat with his doctorate, or already established since he’s a little older. The reader could work at the cafe, or own it, or she’s a professional dom and just likes the cafe on its own merits.

They don’t interact at the cafe but they’re aware of one another as regulars.

The club the reader works at is run by Ivankov, and Ivan’s friends with Dragon - the main name in the legal firm Sabo works at. Sabo drops by the club for legal reasons and recognizes the reader, they chat a bit.

Law’s friends end up getting him a pass for the club and he gets his world rocked by the reader in ways he wasn’t expecting. (There are promises to keep distance at the cafe.)

Sabo doesn’t have those promises and chats with her when they’re in there together (law totally gets a little jealous and doesn’t know why.)

Then an accident or wreck or something has the reader dragging Sabo into a hospital and Lo and behold who does she run into?

Law saves Sabo, and in updating the reader realizes what their status is and that’s the beginning of the three of them becoming friends and then more.

Hiii! This is @riddlesia if you don't remember, it's totally understandable. I sometimes forget my food in the middle of making it, and the only reason i would remember it is because my mom would yell at me for leaving a half made sandwich on the counter

First off, you are sort of a teacher to me. You know that one English teacher you'll never forget? Yeah, you're kinda like that to me

And second, if you don't mind fo course, could you give tips on writing multi chaptered long fics??

I am yet to brainstorm it properly, but my main problem is getting started. Like... How do you begin???

lmao omg me, a teacher.. that’s so sweet, bc i also have an english teacher i’ll never forget, except that he really was one!

okay so i usually plan my multi chapter fics in advance but not very thoroughly. most of the time there’s just one line, trope, scenario or even just a ~vibe~ i have in mind that inspires a whole series. and at first i only know where it starts and where it’ll end. nothing in between lol, that’s the hard part.

i then start word vomiting inside a google doc and just type my thoughts and where everything could lead. i type this very rough first draft exactly as i would say it eg “so first they meet, idk where yet and then theres this guy. his name could be josh. no, maybe jake. anyway, they’re by this tree that can talk (lmao) and then….” and so on. i found this helps me to keep going the most. just stupid rambling.

once the word vomit is out (that’s a very very rough draft of the whole story, could only be one page), i start drafting chapters - also roughly but less word-vomity. just so i get a sense of how many chapters it’ll be in total.

and then i draft the first and second chapter more precisely. i always do the one i’m writing rn and the one after, so i know where to lead everything. and then i just 🙄🙏🏼 finally write something. if i’m lucky!

when i get stuck even though i have ideas and theoretically know where the story should go, i set a timer for like 20 or 30 minutes and just write, no distractions, researching, spell checking, just try and write as many words as i possibly can and edit it afterwards.

summary: sokka's convinced there's a mystery illness keeping you from focusing, but somehow he's completely oblivious that the only 'sick' you are is lovesick, and he's the reason you can't focus.

a/n: i have never written a sickfic. but this is like. a fake sick fic. its an idiots in love fic. i mean this is coming from mr "is he taller than me? is he better looking?" himself so. it makes sense. as usual, this is not proofread bc im a lazy mf

also im sorry for being vague with the calc but i was NOT about to do math during summer who do you think i am? ??

How could the smartest man you knew be so, so incredibly stupid?

You thought that you were being obvious, so obviously that you were sure he knew. It was embarrassing how obvious you were.

You had met Sokka in your calculus class at the start of the new semester after you ended up sitting next to each other, and it wasn’t a stretch to say that you were immediately smitten. With eyes like the ocean and a face that had to have been crafted by the gods, you were almost too distracted to respond when he asked you for a pencil. But when he winked at you after giving his thanks, it only solidified what you had already suspected: you had known this man for all of five minutes, and you already had a crush on him.

Little did you know, it was going to turn into the most infuriating crush you had ever experienced.

You and Sokka became fast friends even though calculus was the only class you had together. Unfortunately, it was also something that you completely sucked at. Bad news, it was required for your major. Good news, Sokka was some sort of genius and offered to tutor you — Wednesdays in the library turned into a weekly occasion, and served as an opening for your calculus skills, your feelings for Sokka, and your exasperation to all grow stronger.

You normally weren’t someone to beat around the bush. If you started to like someone, you told them and dealt with whatever happened after, but something about Sokka just kept you from spilling your feelings outright. You knew that if he didn’t feel the same way, your relationship likely wouldn’t change, but there was still that tiny voice that said it’s better to stay like this in case things do go wrong — and this was the first time you listened to that voice. You simply valued your friendship too much.

But that didn’t mean you were going to be completely quiet about it — you hoped that if you did enough, he would be able to realize you liked him and do the whole process for you. A bit of a dim hope, but crushes make people do stupid things.

Things like bringing an extra coffee to every session, laughing at all his jokes (even the bad ones), sitting a little closer to him than usual, not dropping out of this wretched class so you could spend time together (it might’ve been required, but you still counted it). He didn’t make a point to object to anything, so you knew you weren’t making him uncomfortable — but you had concluded after nearly a whole semester of working and studying together that he was the most oblivious person in all of Ba Sing Se. He could teach you all kinds of formulas, but had no idea that you liked him. Grand.

Today was arguably the most important session out of any of them, seeing as your next class was the final, so it was only fitting that Sokka unknowingly made himself more interesting than any material you could’ve been working with. His arms were going to be the death of both you and your calc grade. You swore that the heat rushing to your cheeks was actually emanating off of you.

“Hey, Y/N!” Sokka grinned as he saw you and raised a hand in greeting, a sentiment you would’ve returned had it not been for the coffee cups in your hands. You settled for mirroring his grin and settled down in the seat across from him. You slid his coffee cup over, set your own down, then shrugged your bag off all before taking a seat.

“You ready to study ‘till your eyes bleed?” he asked, prompting a nervous laugh from you.

“You jest, but my eyes might actually start bleeding depending on how long we go,” you sighed. “There’s a reason I got an extra shot of espresso today.”

“Come on — by now you should know that you have nothing to worry about! I am the best teacher there is, and you got me all to yourself.”

Your eyes widened momentarily and you coughed, purposefully averting your gaze to give yourself some time to recover. Okay, he was going to make it really hard to focus today. “Let’s just get into it.”

He nodded and flipped open his notebook, beginning to talk as he rifled through his bag for a few extra things. “Okay, we’re just gonna start with going over the basics, then we’ll work our way up. There’s a couple practice problems on that page, so you can go ahead and answer those as a warmup.

You slid the notebook over in front of you and after approximately five seconds of looking at the first problem, found yourself studying Sokka rather than the material. Who could blame you? In the battle of cute tutor boy versus calculus, he was going to win every time.

He turned around and you immediately averted your eyes once again, trying to appear extremely involved, but you found that your mind was empty on anything to do with math. “Hey, uh— how do you do this first one? I’m totally blanking here.”

“We use limits in everything — this is actually something you’re really good at!” He studied you intensely and frowned. “Are you okay? Like, you’re not sick or anything, are you? You seem kinda out of it.”

You choked out a laugh and shook your head. “No, no — I’m fine. I guess I’m just a little tired.” As if to demonstrate your lie, you took a sip from your coffee and cringed internally. Love had turned you into an idiot.

He seemed to buy it as he nodded and picked up the pencil, scribbling a couple of notes as he explained the first problem to you. “Does that make sense?” You nodded and he handed the pencil back to you. “Okay — the other ones follow the same kind of process. It should be easy enough.”

You managed to get a little further in the second problem, but your lovestruck mind would not stop focusing back on Sokka every time you tried to do, well, anything. Curse him and his perfect arms, and eyes, and hairstyle, and everything.

You shook your head and set the pencil down once more, letting loose a frustrated sigh. “I don’t know what’s gotten into me.” Yes, you did. “I just can’t focus at all.” Because of you. You picked up your cup once more and took a sip, hoping it would do something to get you back into the math state of mind.

Sokka frowned once more as he put the back of his hand against your forehead. “God, you’re hot.” You nearly choked on your coffee as your eyes practically bulged out of their sockets — he had to know what he was doing by now — how could he not? “Like, you’re completely burning up. Are you sure you’re okay?”

“I’m fine, I swear— I just…” you set your cup down on the table and heaved a sigh that was a touch more exasperated than necessary. “Are you telling me you seriously haven’t noticed? Like, not a single thing this whole year?”

“I’ve noticed a lot of things this year,” he chuckled. “It’s kind of our whole job, so you’re gonna have to be a lot more specific.”

You finally couldn’t hold it in anymore. “Sokka, I’m not— I’m not sick! Haven’t you noticed that I’m only ever flustered, or running into things, or forgetting info, or— or just a complete idiot when I’m around you? I like you, like, a lot, and I have for an embarrassingly long time! The reason I can’t focus is because I am hopelessly attracted to you in every single way.”

His brows creased for a moment and you clamped your mouth shut, worried that you had just ruined everything. It was only after a pause that felt like a century that he finally responded, the hint of a smirk on his lips.

“Well, why didn’t you just say something?”

You stared at him, eyes wide and lips slightly parted in pure surprise before the annoyance set in. You set your jaw as your brows furrowed and you hit him lightly on the side of his arm with the back of your palm. “You can’t be serious! You— you’ve gotta be messing with me by now. I really can’t believe that you can be that smart but this oblivious!”

“You have nothing to worry about! I enjoyed the company far more than the coffee,” he joked, a certain twinkle in his eye. “But, you are probably out a couple twenties after all of that. So, what do you say about this Saturday, the cafe by the shoe store? My treat.”

“Damn right it’s your treat,” you shot back, though you couldn’t stop the smile forming on your face. “You owe me a lot — you have to make up for those coffees and all the emotional distress you caused.”

“Oh, I think I’ll have plenty of time to make up for lost time. After all, we do have a lot of coffee dates to get through.” And when he winked at you just like that first day, you remembered just how impossible it was to be angry at Sokka. “But first, we kinda have to get through this study date. The final’s still happening tomorrow.”

You responded with a raised brow. “This is a study date?”

The Last Olympian Thoughts

So because I have absolutely 0 self-control or restraint when it comes to this series and its characters, and for The Last Olympian in particular, I could not put TLO down. Because of this I figured I couldn’t do the usual photo reaction posts I have been so far, because the spam would just be ridiculous, so I am stealing the idea from @yourstrulytaaay​ to do a masterpost instead. (Adding a Read More cause this got ridiculously long)

Fun fact, TLO came out right after i finished reading the series for the first time so it's the first PJO book i bought  and my only hard cover one for the og series. I checked the year and turns out it was published 2009, which means i was actually 9 when i read the series for the first time. I realize this is not really a fun fact but i thought i was older when I first read the series so it's blowing my mind a little ‘cause now I’m 21 and everything hits different and i still have so much love for this series and the characters Okay onto book thoughts: - i was right that this book is gonna destroy me, the first line alone made me so excited and nostalgic it's ridiculous - I love Rachel and Percy sm tbh. Her being a bit of peace and normalcy in his life without always reminding Percy of who and what he is is so good for him. Just a little escape

- of course by the end of the book that's not the case any more but by the end he's lived his prophecy so he doesn't need it as badly, plus he and Annabeth are solid again - Percy saying Annabeth has been hard to be around lately... Ouch my heart. Luke really is the last thing that keeps them from being together and Percy is so jealous and Annabeth so torn and in pain, i feel so bad for them both

- Beckendorf 🥺🥺 - the telkhine with the Lil Demon lunchbox!! I forgot about him. Percy: 'i left him alive, partly because his lunchbox was cool' is one of my absolute favourite lines tbh - Paul taking Percy crabbing and being imperative in helping Percy kill the giant crab 💖 Paul Blofis is important and deserves the world, okay? - aw Percy, you can't save every demigod bb

- 'i had to fight him eventually. Why not now?... What difference would a week make?' Oh Percy you have no idea - real talk tho, the fact Kronos possessed Luke's body would also mess me tf up. Percy keeps forgetting it's not Luke anymore and yeah, that would be so so hard and confusing af, like what another smart little mind game for Kronos to pull on top of everything else - the fact Percy fights Kronos before getting the Achilles Curse and actually doesn't die within seconds is... Astounding. He kicks him in the chest! And yeah Kronos is weaker and still adjusting to Luke's body, but Percy is having trouble fighting Luke cause they used to be friends - Percy breaks Kronos' time magic!! Like?! Boy is POWERFUL.

- OUCH - honestly Luke, Thalia and Annabeth's family breaking the way it did... Don't talk to me. Poor Annabeth, Luke betrayed them, Thalia joined the Hunters because of Luke's betrayal so she's pretty much AWOL all the time and then Luke dies. Like Rick wtf, my heart can't take it? -Percy and Tyson having each others backs when talking to Poseidon in the underwater palace is the brother-brother relationship we love to see - Percy trying to stick a sand dollar in the vending machines at school 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ - the whole underwater interaction at Poseidon's palace? Perfection. Awkward family drama and all - Connor falling out of the tree when he sees Percy because he's so excited 😂😂

- k, ik Clarisse isn't perfect but tbh if i was a child of Ares whose father was disrespected and hated by my fellow campers (ares deserves it but still) and that disrespect trickled down to how the other campers treated ME (which if Percy is reliable here, it obviously does) then i would also be irritated at being used for muscle and nothing else? And just expected to fight with the people who act as if they'd rather not have Ares kids around the rest of the time. Like Clarisse isn't totally wrong - Percy reading the prophecy, seeing he's meant to die and just being like 'i do not see it' and refusing to outright think about it makes me so sad for him - (but it taints every action after and he's super reckless afterwards bc of it- including finally breaking and accepting the Achilles Curse) - (also him taking this as the last straw and finally beginning to show Annabeth how he really feels, cause fuck it, he's dying anyway) - Give me more info about Rachel's backstory and family Rick!! -  how did i forget Percy willingly eats chocolates that taste like cardboard because 'i didnt have anything against cardboard' like sir? Ik Silena didn't want them but still? - 'she'd always been cute, but she was starting to be seriously beautiful' STOP, MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT - Percy staring at Annabeth and forgetting what they're talking about cause hes so distracted 👌🏻

- hmm yeah... For some strange reason.... - i forgot how Percy totally bombs this convo bw them and now want to cry 😭 Annabeth is trying to talk about what's important and Percy, you sweet oblivious man, you're shooting her down without even realizing - love that they're both on the same wavelength tho. Percy two lines before, hmm it's cool to date ppl from other cabins, wonder why im thinking that around Annabeth, my best friend in the world, and then Annabeth a beat later, hmm, let me bring up Silena and Beckendorf and how it's important to be with the people you love when you have the chance, no way Percy will miss this huge hint right? - they're the best - k i honestly forgot Percy full on physically intimidates Leneus like that - luke telling his mom if he ran away the monsters wouldnt get her..i can just imagine luke crying when he says good bye before running away because he thinks it's his fault his mom is like that and he cant take care of and protect her anymore because it's too hard - uh oh now i have angsty pre-lightning thief luke fic inspo... Him, Thalia and Annabeth on the run... The ANGST -  Rick holds absolutely nothing back in this book and i am in pain - HESTIA!! 💖💖🥰 - actual loml - i love that Rick titled this book after her and that he wrote such a great series about the importance of family (biological, found or otherwise) and home, and that he said actually Hestia is the most important bc shes the most humble and keeps the peace and knows when to fight and when to yield and you protect what you love, which is your home - i just... Adore Hestia - Grover! Missed you babes - Hades is so so horrible to Nico, always comparing him to Bianca :/ - but i do love Hades, Persephone and Demeter together they make me laugh - oh god the River Styx - Achilles 🥺 - Annabeth being Percy's lifeline is, and continues to be, A Lot™ - 'my name was Percy Jackson. I reached up and took Annabeth's hand.' LOL Why am i crying? - Like the fact there is no Percy without Annabeth, and that remembering her literally reminded him of who he is in his very soul... It's fine im fine - i won't even get into the parallels of her being his lifeline now and then later when Hera takes his memories but leaves the memory of Annabeth for Percy to fight to get back to (anyone who wants to yell about it with me... Feel free to message) - badass Percy is my fav Percy tbh - him defeating Hades?? Like? Hades is arguably the most powerful god, okay - i feel bad for Nico but if i was Percy I'd do the exact same, Nico, sorry man but this is a high stakes time crunch deal and Nico is literally the only hope of persuading Hades and distracted by his own internal stuff - flashbacks to Luke, Thalia and Annabeth hurt, ow - George and Martha are the best - damn i forgot Hermes full on nearly kills Percy here, yikes - Luke stop cockblocking Percabeth challenge

- i love!! Percy's love for New York!! So much!! - Percy leaving to live in New Rome in HoO is a lie and this is all the proof i need for why - the fact the entire last half of the book is the battle and aftermath... Such great buildup and pacing. All the tricks and twists and battles in this War of Manhattan? I would not take out a thing, Rick, you legend - of course then the final battle in hoo with the gods is what? Two pages? Ugh, don’t talk to me about my hatred for BoO and HoO - 'no detours you two' is still the cutest thing!!! - THE HUNTERS!! Thalia i missed you - good job Percy, you finally spent your sand dollar - Minotaur!! - 'dont i get a kiss for luck? Its kind of a tradition right?' Percy finds out he's gonna die and is out of fucks to give and honestly I support him - also Michael just standing beside these two while they're flirting like umm 👀 👀 while a monster army marches towards them, nbd - Annabeth taking Ethan's knife meant for Percy!!! Cause she just knows his weak spot without him even telling her! They literally invented love - Feral Percy is so scary omg, i love how well Rick incorporates the Achilles Curse in this novel, with the whole heightened weaknesses and stuff ans the parallels to Achilles arrogance being what killed him and Percy's loyalty, fierceness and protective instinct being his own heightened weakness - the fact that Percy is the one who inadvertantly kills Michael Yew tho, I'll never recover from that - the fact Hades offers Maria di Angelo a golden palace by the Styx like how Poseidon offers Sally a palace under the sea tho. Let's talk about that parallel - the entire talk with Prometheus is so so good - not me picturing young Luke hiding in the closet to get away from his mom when she has an 'episode' -i love callbacks in stories and all of the callbacks to the rest of the series in this book make me very happy (medusa, minotaur, the underworld, Rainbow!! My baby!!, Daedalus and more) - Percy summoning a wholeass hurricane against Hyperion - the Party Ponies! They're so chaotic, i love it - Dionysus! 😁 I can't help it, i love him - Percy absolutely losing it when he sees Sally and Paul asleep in the car 🥺 - Rachel telling Percy he's not the hero screws with him so much :( poor bb - although i really really love how Rick wrote this, it's so refreshing to not have one chosen one save the world, but a combination of people - the drakon, Silena and Clarisse make me cry - the Patrochilles references, im not okay - Annabeth giving up on Luke after hearing what he did to Silena and Percy telling her that doesn't make him happy 😭 that whole interaction makes my heart ache - Percy giving Hestia Pandora's pithos 🥺 - and Hades, Nico and the others coming for a final attack is so badass, i love it - listen im glad the og trio were the ones to confront Luke on Olympus but the fact Thalia got so close and then pinned by a statue of HERA makes me so sad. Ik her and Luke were finished and she coped by cutting him off completely and giving up all hope but i would pay money to know what they would have said to each other to say goodbye - Ethan 🥺 - Poseidon joining the fight against Typhon is so cool, such a great scene - 'PEANUT BUTTER!' - Annabeth you brilliant badass you - RIP Luke, you werent great but you werent the worst either - the gods just rolling up seconds too late, wondering wtf happened in Olympus and who the dead body is - the chapter where the Olympians meet and give out rewards is one of my absolute favourites (again i am incensed we didn't get anything like this in HoO) - will Percy turning down immortality ever not make me scream in glee? No? Alright then - Annabeth being relieved like Percy was relieved at the end of Titan's Curse tho - oh Hermes :/ - its so hard reading all this and knowing what comes in HoO... Like it's such a cathartic, earned and mostly happy and peaceful ending and then HoO comes along and undermines it all - aww Rick let Paul see Olympus somehow pls, he deserves it, he killed a dracanae - (i would also love to see it) - Percy being more upset Rachel took his pegasus than her going to Camp and possibly dying, lol, priorities dude - i honestly think that Rick had other ideas for the second Great Prophecy and how things would go down in BoO, cause the prophecy like... Barely applies to BoO, Doors of Death are in book four, and explabations of it is all so unclear when Rick is usually pretty good with that stuff - PERCABETH - lol Percy complaining about privacy when he and Annabeth are caught kissing literally in the middle of the very open and public dining pavilion, okay - BEST UNDERWATER KISS OF ALL TIME - that's it and im a glass case of emotion - very happy to say that this series remains my favourite of all time 💖

this is straying from soldezangelo a little but i made a post here about what i personally think should have happened w/ leo’s ending in HoO, if you’re interested in reading it. i’m gonna make the following bullet points based on that

but tldr: i’m just basically saying that i wish caleo ended up leaving ogygia as friends so that leo didn’t get that forced romance on him

so he stays at the waystation for a while with calypso (only as friends; like they’re staying there and are really adorable friends) and all the while he’s really thinking only about himself and his well-being. he goes back to high school and keeps up with that project he’s doing w/ other kids and giving them opportunities to make things (GOD THAT WAS SO CUTE)

then leo decides that maybe for the winter, he’ll go back for a trip (i also hc that piper and percy and annabeth go to chb for the same winter so that some of the seven see each other!)

there, he meets will and nico, but i think mostly he’s interested in talking w/ nico. so they talk a lot. nico expresses how angry they were for leo dying like that and scaring everyone, and leo says he’s sorry but he had to. i think this also provides nico and leo the perfect opportunity to talk about jason, since they were both really good friends with him. and nico also understands that it was leo’s decision and his sacrifice. but they also talk about how leo’s sacrifice kind of... felt weird. since in the end, they still lost the storm but the fire lived on (ehehhehe idk if that made sense but i was tryna be smart lakjsdlfkj) 

i think that opportunity ultimately provides nico and leo to get along a LOT better with each other, and they both realize that they actually have been through a lot of similar feelings. by which i mean theyre both so fuckin mentally unstable and they relate to one another.

nico talks about how he’s been in a relationship with will for a while, and leo’s happy for him, really. but i think a small part of him is jealous, too. not because “oh god here’s another couple im supposed to worry about after ive just started getting over this ingrained idea of needing romance to solve all my issues and feeling like i belong,” but more because i think leo’s always been a little attracted to nico since they were on the argo II with each other. i don’t think he ever acted on those feelings, especially since a lot of the people on that ship were more judgmental towards nico and he probably felt like he had to be as well (by the way, none of this is an excuse to leo’s treatment of nico, or, by extension, an excuse for anyone’s treatment of nico on the argo II.)

leo apologizes to nico about how he treated him, and nico smiles and tells him it’s fine. like, nico has had his own bout of personal growth as well, especially in the past year. he doesn’t - and won’t - forget how people treated him, but now he’s learning to just let it go, in a sense. 

and i think this is when leo and nico kind of develop underlying feelings for each other. 

leo and nico probably hang out a lot, but will also joins becuase he’s nico’s boyfriend, and nico loves to have him tag along. so i think leo feels a little intimidated by will, like “damn my crush is really just bringing along their boyfriend huh??” 

and leo’s like. so jealous. like “ugh why does this hot golden ray of sunshine have to ruin everything. why is he always around. he’s so fucking distracting. like hello i’m trying to simp for nico but he’s so gorgeous for the both of us.” and then it hits leo that oh wait oh fuck he actually likes both of them and that “intimidation” he was feeling was mostly just him being attracted LMAO

leo and will get a bit closer through nico, and then i think the two of them are like very joke-y with each other, and they totally connect with each other about texas and being absolute fucking NERDS (since they are both canonically absolute dumbass nerds HSDHFSLFKDJ)

and leo’s struck with how cute he is omG 

and then nico’s like “wow they’re both so glowy aslkdjffdj HHHHH” 

and then will’s like “damn they’re both so dark and mysterious” 

and also not to mention they all totally relate about mental illnesses, abandonment issues, and the like. i mean, after everything that’s happened to all three of them (since will has been through like two wars, has lost two brothers, and has probably lost a lot of lives and feels guilty for it) they probably really relate to each other about always feeling... this dark uncomfortableness inside them. a void. they get really deep about mental health, and i think nico actually suggests to both of them that they should all talk to dionysus, just like he does (because, as we all fucking know, love cannot fix mental health and it doesn’t matter how much they’re all attracted to each other, they will not cure each other just because they’re in love) 

i think somewhere in the relationship between will and nico, a tension starts to build up a little. they’re not really sure how to exactly deal with teh fact that they like leo (and neither of them actually admits it to the other because they like the other as well and they really are not in the mood for a “”””love triangle”””)

but the funny thing is, they probably all talk about it with dionysus in their separate times. and Mr. D is just. he’s so done.

Do you do “x reader” stuff? Bc I’d definitely like to read one with mama press (specifically a jealousy/possessive thing bc I’m a total bottom)... it’s okay if it’s not up your alley. I enjoy the work you put out. USWNT fics are so underrated.

Christen spotted you from the other side of the field. You saw her eyes narrow and you gulped slightly knowing that the look wasn’t necessarily a happy one. Practice had just ended and you were conversing with one of the rookie players who was clearly a bit infatuated with you. She had flirted with you since the start of her time here. Two weeks later and still going strong, even after she found out about Christen. You couldn’t help that you liked the attention, but you also couldn’t help that others thought you were cute! Christen was crazy if she thought that you could control that for God’s sake.

Oh shit, Chris was jogging over from the other side of the field now.

“Looks like mama Bear is coming.” The rookie chuckled unlacing her cleats.

You look at her wildly, “Shut up. She’s not my mom. She’s my girlfriend!”

The star forward reached you in no time. She was already dressed and looking as stunning as ever. “Y/N you’ve been dawdling long enough, and you need to get into the shower.” She gave the rookie a cursory glance, not at all inclined to give her the time of day.

A fresh burst of pure crimson rises to your cheeks, while the younger girl next to you continues to chuckle. Way to prove rookie’s point Press.

“Geez babe. Chill out. I’ll go in a bit.” You try to seem cool and not like a scolded child. However, that was a hard feat when your much older girlfriend was peering down at you.

“Now Y/N. Come on.” Christen extended her hand and you roll your eyes. You know the dynamic between you and Christen is probably a bit weird to others. But the team is used to it by now. She takes care of you. You were a mess before her and needed structure. Christen provided that. Discipline, structure, and so, so much love and tenderness.

But Christen had made it clear to you when you both decided to take that step that if at any point you got uncomfortable with how you were being treated to let her know and she would stop. But you loved it. You loved all aspects of your relationship with the star forward.

You got up and took her hand with a groaned out “fffiiinnneeee.”

A slap was felt to your bottom once you both got midway your walk to the locker room. You slip your hand away from Christen’s and immediately bring it back to protect your backside. You were also sure that the rookie had seen it all, “Christen!” You whined, “Not here!”

“And why can’t I swat you here?” She speaks rather clipped. She was annoyed with you. She had made dinner reservations and you were too up in the clouds to care about time.

“B-because everyone will see.” Everyone being the rookie, really.

“Everyone knows you’re my girlfriend. I’ve made that very clear far too many times.”

“You’re just jealous that she has a crush on me .” You spit. Your intention wasn’t to be purposely mean, but you were feeling capricious.

Christen just grabbed your hand once more and sped your walk up until you both reached the doors. She leaned into your ear, “You have exactly 20 minutes little girl. I’ll wait for you in the car.” She whispered making you shiver just a little. She gave you one last stinging swat that made you whimper. God, she’s fucking hot, you thought as she walked away.

The car ride was completely silent. You had slunk into the car and Christen simply drove without addressing you. Now you were both sitting at your table. Christen busied herself looking at the menu. Your menu laid by your side of the table, but you didn’t want to look at it, instead you drew circles on the table with your fork and pouted softly. Christen still seemed irritated and you hated it. You also hated that she was paying you no heed. Any onlooker would think you were being a bratty teenager.

“Do you want me to choose your food, Y/N?” Christen asked softly, despite her own frustration with you. She knew how you got. You were a very moody girl. Little things would get to you and you just reacted. It was one of the many things that you just never seemed to grow out of and Christen didn’t mind it. She took your childish quirks, oddities, and insecurities in stride. She nurtured you.

Your frown only deepened, but you nodded, “Yes please.” You looked up and she had gone back to looking at the menu. You sighed and dropped the fork rather dramatically. Christen looked at you with a raised eyebrow, “What’s wrong, babygirl?”

“Why are you mad at me?” You shuffled in your seat, “I’m sorry I got distracted and I’m sorry I said that you were jealous.”

“I am jealous.” She deadpanned. That made your eyes perk up and you tilted your head in curiosity.

Christen looked at your little mischievous face. She sighed putting the menu down and leaning in to grab your hand, “You’re my girl, Y/N. And that rookie knows it and stays flirting with you. And you love it. I know you do.”

You bit your lip. Were you in trouble? “N-no I don’t.”

Christen squeezes your hand, “ What happens when you lie to me?”

You swallow hard. Of course she could read you like a book. “Ummmmm, I get no dessert after dinner?” You try in hopes that your cuteness would win over.

“Well that goes without saying because you made us late, little girl. But that’s not what happens when you lie to me. Now tell me what your punishment actually is.”

“S-spanking.” You mumble hoping nobody around you could hear.

Christen cups her ear, “I don’t think I heard you say everything.”

You squirm in your seat. You feel yourself getting a little wet and warm. Christen taking over like this always drove you mad.

“You s-spank me on my bare bottom.” You’re beet fucking red now. You’ve said this phrase so many times, but it still has that humiliating effect. You looked up and could see that Christen was waiting for you to finish the phrase, “... until I cry like the little girl I’m acting like.” Just saying it makes you feel so tingly.

Your taller, sexy girlfriend nods, “Exactly, so try again. Do you like that the rookie flirts with you?”

You look down in slight shame and nod, “I like the attention. B-but I don’t like her. She knows how much I love you. I talk about you all the time.”

Christen smirked devilishly, “Oh, do you? What have you told her about me?”

You blush again and you feel yourself getting wetter by the second. You would need to change your panties after dinner if you kept this up. “Just how we met and how much you’ve helped me. How safe and loved you make me feel.”

“You haven’t told her what you call me in the comfort of our home? You haven’t told her how easy you become putty in my hands in bed?”

“Christennnnn.” You shake your head wildly. Why would you ever tell the younger rookie that you sometimes called your girlfriend mommy?! Or how much you loved the feeling of losing control?

“Awww is my baby girl blushing?”

You bite your lip and shuffle your feet, adjusting yourself on the chair to relieve some pressure. She’s embarrassing you but mostly because she knows how much you like it. How much it turns you on.

“I’ll tell you what, she can flirt all she wants but every time I catch her I’m taking you home and reminding you that I’m the only one that can touch you, that can play with you, and that can fuck you. Is that understood Y/N?”

Her words and tone took your breath away. “Mmmhhhhmmm.” You moaned, slightly arching your back in the chair. Christen knew exactly how to play with you so that you were dripping wet simply with her words.

“You are my girlfriend. You are my little girl. I am your mommy. Crystal clear?”

“Y-yes mmmm, mommy. Crystal clear.” You were already putty and you two weren’t even home yet!

The waitress came and gave you a brief moment of respite. Though you wished you were both home so Christen could do with you what she wants. You have an inkling that tonight she might tease you a lot more than usual. Christen takes charge of the orders and you really don’t care to listen. You just want your girlfriend’s attention back on you.

“If I take you into the restroom, will I find someone in wet panties?” The waitress had left and the forward has a look of mirth while she smirks at you. Christen knew exactly what she was doing to you. “Do I need to start carrying an extra pair of little panties for you Y/N, hmmm?”

Oh God. She was already teasing you!!! You imagined her peeling your soft sweats off and rubbing her finger against your wet underclothes as you lurched your hips backwards and forwards.

“I-I can’t help it.” You pout.

“Don’t worry, when we get home, I’ll take care of it.”

You had to wait. Just wait. Distract yourself. You give out a small whimper and bounce your legs like a child that needs to potty.

“But I think someone needs a panty check right now.” Christen taunts and you look on helplessly as Christen moves to sit next you from across the table. By this point you’re hanging on every word she says. As if her torturous playing could provide you with release. She discreetly put her hand down your loose sweats and on your wet crotch. Four fingers only grazing your wetness. “You naughty little girl. You are so wet.” Her whisper was husky just like she sounded in bed.

You tried to keep your composure, but your thighs were quivering now with her feathery touch, “M-mommy please.”

Her hand came up and back out. “You have to wait. Mommy needs to make sure you eat and then she’ll take care of your needs.”

You groaned in annoyance.

“Ah. Ah. Unless a certain little girl just wants to take a nap instead of having a good time with mommy?”

Several hundred words of Half-Life Borrower!AU goodness

(Hi, this is Passportinspection!) Oooh goodness. I actually started writing this as an ask. I really thought what I had to say would fit into an ask. Since sending that anon about having 350 words of thoughts, I ended up getting distracted for a few hours, and then when I came back to this, I apparently had 400 more words to say. I just love rambling what-ifs about AUs. :’>

Hi Passportinspection!  Sorry it took so long to reply to this. I had more work than I thought yesterday. >__< I totally agree! Rambling about what-ifs is WAY more fun than actually writing a story. ;;>__> _

These are… not all A-list ideas, and I was very tempted to cut it down to the best bits, BUT I know that if someone said to me “I had 5 ideas for your au but only told you the 2 good ones” I would be extremely interested in hearing the 3 bad ones anyway, so… here it all is. This was written pretty stream-of-consciousness and then rearranged a bit to form my pinballing thoughts into something a little more linear, but, fair warning, it wasn’t edited much beyond that.

I keep thinking about the end of that “gordon takes borrower!barney with him through the events of HL1” scenario; Imagining gman’s speech at the end, I like the idea of him saying something like, “As for your.. /passenger/..” and both of their bloods running cold. I can’t decide if I’d rather barney actually go into stasis with gordon or not I think it could be an interesting/cute concept- the idea that gman/his employers figured barney was enough of a factor in gordon’s success that they thought it would be wise to keep them together for future “assignments.”

_ Bro I'll be honest, I hadn't gotten that far in the AU because I still haven't finished the game. My only reference for G-man is Mr. Coolatta. So I'll have to at least look the ending up on youtube before I'll be able to give my informed opinion.  But taking it as is?  That would be freaking terrifying. They've met some other scientists and security guards during their escape, but the HEV helmet was a perfect hiding place. None of them ever noticed that Gordon wasn't alone.  But somehow this reality bending creep knows, and it looks like he's not going to let Barney and Gordon just go home, which was basically what they were fighting for the whole time.  _

I’m also thinking about, like.. With Barney in Gordon’s helmet with him, Gordon must be able to feel him tense up and hear his breathing speed up whenever something particularly scary/dangerous happens, maybe even at times faintly feel the fluttering of his heart, and it strengthens his resolve to make it out of there bc it’s not just himself he’s saving. 🥺 Also Barney can provide running commentary, which perhaps soothes both of their nerves a little. Maybe he even helps with some puzzles. :> I also think it’s funny/convenient that that would work really well for an actual video game format. A friend that’s with you wherever you go that sees everything you see but can’t interact with the world but provides commentary and occasional helpful tips? That fits in nicely!

  _ Ha! Something I was thinking about was how Barney has spent his whole life living in the vents and such. He would probably be a perfect guide for Gordon. :3 As for Gordon feeling when Barney gets tense or scared and that fuling his drive to escape, that was ABSOLUTELY one of the reasons I wanted Barney in the helmet.  It would be uncomfortable, inconvenient, and down right dangerous sometimes. But you cannot deny the unique opportunities for deeper emotional exploration it would present. _

…But also, now that I think about it, maybe there are parts where the only way forward is for Barney to slip through a crack in a blockaded doorway and use a control panel that opens another door- that sort of thing. He gets to help with more than just talking sometimes! :> Oh, dang, imagine the part where gordon gets jumped and almost killed by the military. Poor Barney. D: Maybe a factor in Gordon escaping the trash compactor before it crushes him is Barney frantically trying to wake him up.

_ I was defo hyperfixating on what the whole beat down would be like from Barney's perspective a few days ago! Gordon would be at an extra disadvantage in the fight because he'd have to be careful not to accidentally bash Barney between his skull and the helmet while he's being smacked around.  Imagine Barney being tossed all over the small space, maybe ending up pinned when Gordon finally passes out. Noticing when a small stream of blood starts leaking from his friends mouth and soaking into his clothes. Gordon is completely helpless, and so is Barney as he hears the soldiers talking about what they're going to do with the body.  I just think that whole scene and the escape from the trash compactor would be so fun and exciting~ -

Also, unrelated, but I wonder how barney would wake up in city 17, if he did go into stasis with gordon. That is, since gordon is wearing a citizen outfit when he comes out of stasis, barney obviously can’t be in the helmet anymore. Maybe gman elects to move barney to a pocket somewhere instead lol. I’m imagining as soon as gordon is released from whatever effect gman had him under and he’s able to move again, he starts patting himself down looking for Barney (the same way one does when they forget which pocket their phone is in ), bc last he knew Barney was right up against his face and now he’s /not/, and that man SAID they’d be “hired” as a team so /where is he/ because Gordon needs to know he’s /okay/. As Barney is released from the same effect, he probably moves and makes himself apparent, so it’s only for like a second that Gordon is doing that.

_ Once again, I can't speak much to what would happen in a HL2 continuation of this story, but that sounds about right for an initial reaction scene.  Imagine Barney just coming out of it and being in some sort of... bag? being jostled around? He feels a giant hand pat over him from outside and he grunts in surprise. Then the hand rests against him and Barney realizes he's in a humans breast pocket, being held against someones chest as beside him a thundering heart slowly begins to calm. He figures this must be Gordon. He doesn't KNOW any other humans, and he can't imagine that man in the suit would be all that concerned about Barney's wellbeing.  _ 

Barney doesn’t know where they are/who else is out there at all ‘cause he can’t see from where he is, and Gordon can feel him shifting to lean out of the pocket and get a look, and he just puts a hand over the pocket, covering the opening in the process, and applies a gentle pressure for a couple moments, and Barney knows that means he needs to stay put because it’s not safe to come out yet. Thankfully Barney heard Gman talking to Gordon and addressing him by name, so he doesn’t have to worry about whose pocket he just woke up in. He would probably somewhat recognize Gordon’s gait/the feel of his hands at that point, too. As for how Gordon avoids boarding the train to Nova Prospekt without canon barney there to stop him, I have no idea.

  _ YEAAAH that is a good point. Barney is kind of vital for that role. Maybe we can slot a different character into his place. ^__^;; _

Oooh, going back a bit, maybe when the nihilanth is teleporting gordon around in the boss level, or from the very beginning when gordon jumps into the portal to Xen, they get teleported separately and end up in different places? (Ignoring for a moment the parts with portals in Black Mesa ^^;) That sure is an additional level of distress for the both of them during the Big Final Level(s). And then perhaps at the end, part of gman’s speech can be like, “As for your.. companion, you can rest assured he was recovered safe and sssound. After all, you two performed so well, together, it would be ideal to hire you as, a team.” Or whatever

_ Imagine Barney, stranded and alone on Xen, desperately trying to find Gordon, and having his OWN creepy G-man encounter. :U _

Our Barney AUs differ in some exciting ways and it’s fun to play in someone else’s sandbox for a while. :p I’ll probably cut my notes doc down into something readable and post it sometime in the near-ish future.. Either that or actually write the dang fic.

Ian is roused from his doze to the sensation ofMickey’s mouth on his chest. Feeling his mouth curve up in a grin, he tightenshis arm around Mickey’s shoulders and opens his eyes.

While Lip’s announcement had somewhat halted theirplans when they’d first gotten home, Ian had promptly forgotten about the restof the world the second they’d finally been able to retreat to their room andlock the door. Make-up sex had quickly segued to holy-fuck-we’re-engaged sex and to say he felt worn outnow would be an understatement.

With his limbs feeling pleasantly heavy and Mickeyhalf-sprawled on top of him Ian hadn’t found it hard to drift off as they’dbasked in the afterglow.

Now, he meets Mickey’s gaze and sees his ownwide-eyed wonder reflected there. He can’t believe they made it here. He can’tbelieve he has Mickey back. And notonly back but committed. His, forever.

Knowing how close he’d been to them losing it allsits heavy in his chest and he feels renewed with a new sense of determinationto make sure Mickey never doubts him or his feelings ever again.

“Hey,” he mumbles after they’ve stared at each otherfor just a beat too long, raising his head from the pillow to close the lastscant few inches and slot their mouths together.

Mickey hums into the kiss, pulling back a momentlater with an expression on his face more content than Ian’s ever seen him. It remindshim of the moment they were reunited all those months ago. When Mickey threwhimself down on the prison bunk bed and Ian had lasted a grand total of fiveseconds before following him down. He’ll never forget the look on Mickey’s facebefore they kissed again for the first time in years. The surety that he’d beenright where he was supposed to be.

Ian feels like that right now.

“Hey,” Mickey replies softly and Ian feels a specialkind of smug knowing no one else will ever get to hear Mickey sound like that.

Ian runs his free hand down Mickey’s arm, catchinghis hand and holding it up to look at the ring. Somewhere between ripping oneanother’s clothes off and desperate kisses, Ian had managed to take the ringsfrom the nightstand and slide Mickey’s one onto his ring finger. He hadn’t had muchtime to linger on the sight, too distracted by what Mickey’s mouth had beendoing as soon as the ring was secure.

Now though, he slowly folds Mickey’s fingers to get acloser look, mouth quirking up in a smile at the way the ring cuts through the ‘u’tattooed on Mickey’s knuckle.

“Getting second thoughts?” Mickey asks after aminute. His voice is light and obviously meant to be joking but Ian notices theslight hesitance.

He tears his gaze away from Mickey’s hand and meetshis eyes, lacing his fingers through Mickey’s and squeezing tightly. “You knowme freaking out was never about you, Mick,” he says lowly. “It’s always beenyou. I’ve tried being with other people and it never fucking worked.”

He can tell Mickey’s biting the inside of his cheek,a nervous habit Ian wants nothing more than to soothe away with a kiss. ButMickey deserves a full explanation. “No one’s ever made me feel the way you do,”he promises, leaning his forehead against Mickey’s. He breathes him in andhopes Mickey can feel his heartbeat where his arm lays over Ian’s chest.

“I was scared because I didn’t want you to be stuckwith me for the rest of your life,” he continues. “Stuck looking after me andputting up with my bullshit when I fly off the handle-“

“Stop fuckin’ talking about yourself like that,”Mickey interrupts, his attempt to look intimidating completely cancelled out bythe softness around his eyes.

“You know it’s a possibility,” Ian tells him calmly. “But-I just. I used be so much better at taking risks, y’know? And I think after Igot diagnosed I stopped doing that because some of those risks put me in somepretty dangerous situations. But in doing that I forgot about the best risk Iever took.”

Mickey looks at him, eyebrows expectant as he waitsfor him to keep going.

“You,” Ian says, finding it impossible to keep thesmile out of his voice. “Mick, you coulda fuckin’ killed me that day I tried toget the gun back off you,” he laughs, feeling triumphant when the barest hintof a smile quirks Mickey’s lips. “Hell, every fucking day of our relationshipwas a risk for almost three years but I kept taking it.”

Levelling Mickey with a look, he lifts the arm he’dhad draped across Mickey’s back and curls his fingers in the hair at the napeof Mickey’s neck. “And the only the thing I regret is that I stopped,” he says,hoping Mickey can hear the earnestness in his voice. “So yeah, marriage is arisk. But every single risk I’ve ever taken with you has been worth it so Iwant to do it.”

Mickey watches him for a beat, eyes boring into Ian’slike he’s trying to search for any trace of uncertainty. When he doesn’t findany he ducks his head, gaze falling to where their hands are still interlinked.

“It’s not a risk if it’s you,” Ian whispers,heartbeat picking up speed in his chest as Mickey’s head suddenly snaps up tolook at him.

Wordlessly, Mickey shifts forward where he’s stilllying half on top of Ian and crushes their lips together. It’s heated at firstbut dissolves into something slow almost immediately as their foreheads rolltogether, petering off after a minute or two until they’re just pressing theirlips together over and over again. Soft and insistent and sure.

“For what it’s worth,” Mickey mumbles against him afew minutes later. “When you asked how I know I love you-“

“Mick, you don’t have to-“ Ian starts because heknows. He knows and that’s enough butMickey cuts him off anyway.

“Let me say it,” he says and he looks nervous butthere’s determination in the set of his mouth. The same look he always gets onhis face right before he says something to make Ian’s knees weak. “I just knowbecause I do. I know it the same way you know all that kinda stuff that justbecomes fact in your head eventually. The sky’s fuckin’ blue. Grass is green.Winter in Chicago is cold as fuck. And I’ve been stupidly fucking in love withyou since I was a teenager.”

Mickey shrugs, helpless and honest and unravellingIan from the inside out. “That’s it. I just know.”

Ian stares at him, speechless, before he lets out abreathless laugh. It’s awed and overwhelmed and barely audible but it makesMickey smile. “Come here,” he breathes, feeling giddy as he tips his head up sotheir mouths can meet in the middle. And Ian thinks he could do this forever;kiss Mickey until both their mouths are numb and revel in this feeling until hecan’t even remember what a time without Mickey felt like.

He reluctantly releases Mickey’s hand so he can lifthimself up to straddle Ian properly but Mickey doesn’t break their kiss once soIan figures he can’t really complain. As soon as he’s settled over Ian’s hipsMickey reaches for both of his hands, lacing their fingers together and pressingtheir joined hands into the mattress on either side of Ian’s head. And they’vedone this a million times before but it’s different.

Because he can feel Mickey’s ring in the spacebetween his fingers and he knows Mickey can feel his too and it’s just- it’smore. It’s proof. It’s definitive proof that they belong together. It’s a headyfeeling and Ian allows himself to get lost in it as he urges Mickey closer,ignoring the ache in his leg and using their joined hands to roll them overuntil he’s crowding Mickey into the pillows.

In the brief moment they both take to catch theirbreath Mickey looks up at him with a cocky grin and says, “You ready to goagain?”

Leaning down until they’re plastered together, chestto chest, Ian noses at Mickey’s jawline, mumbling his words into Mickey’s neck.“Talking about feelings gets me hot, who knew?”

Mickey barks out a laugh, fingers twisting in Ian’shair. “I fuckin’ did. Always the quickest way to get in your pants.”

Ian pulls back, mock-affronted before a laugh burstsout of him. “Are you serious?”

Mickey just smirks up at him, a devilish look in hiseye as lets out a quiet, “I love you.”

Ian raises an eyebrow, body tingling and absolutelybetraying him. “Keep going.”

“Always loved you,” Mickey murmurs, making Ian shiveras he trails a hand down his back. “Couldn’t stop.”

Ian lets out a sound somewhere between a groan and alaugh, tugging Mickey into a bruising kiss. “You’re a dick,” he huffs againstMickey’s mouth, hardly kissing him with how hard he’s grinning. “I love youtoo.”

Mickey’s smile meets his own and for a moment there’snothing except that, lips curved wide, teeth clashing as they swallow eachother’s laughter but slowly, it slips back into something more. Intonever-ending kisses and wandering hands and heated breaths and Ian thinks arisk has never felt so much like safety.

First of all, I loved what you did with the chapter title, whiskers literally taking padfoot's place in the order they were named on the map. It was sirius' worst fear and it happened. I've had so much inspiration and free time this past week! and I'm going to start getting really busy this upcoming fall so I want to try and upload as much as possible!

(2/8) of how naturally their friendship and relationship grows and how different their dynamic is compared to mc and sirius. The way she was braiding his hair in common room and the way map practically flirts with her. Their little moment in the halloween party was so great as well, mc (who is dressed up as mcgonagall) drunkly playing with remus' (who is dressed up as FILCH) is probably one of my favorite moments in the sbtmas. Speaking of the costumes, I wish I was a good artist so I could draw

yeah! it's always a struggle to write two different dynamics when it comes to a love triangle because you don't want it to be:

a) the same

b) have it be unfair (although rn it's kinda unfair but hey, sirius will have a chance)

c) please both remus and Sirius stans (its been hard bc sirius stans are so mad with me rn LMFAO its kinda hilarious. I'm sorryyyyy! I SAID SLOWBURN DIDNT I? I WASNT LYING)

and oh my gosh - this chapter was literally so fucking fun to write and I think that really showed in my writing this time. the map - omg - since it's technically remus' magic for his little messages, the map is unable to insult her and I think it's just so cute :)

and I think dressing up as the professors would be so fucking cool! actually, fun fact - this idea was originally supposed to be for fifth year. Sirius was supposed to be McGonagall and MC was still supposed to be a cat but I obviously flipped shit around. for seventh year - I've had their costumes all picked since I started writing and I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT TO WRITE IT MY GOD

(3/8) a fanart of them. Lily as a 20s flapper, marlene as carrie, dorcas as dorothy (it's official, dorcas is the cutest person in this entire series) and sybill as the crazy cat lady (hands down best costume)! And of course marauders as teachers. Remus as filch was son unexpected yet brilliant! I almost died when marlene started flirting with mc for a grade and james called her hot (and also mcgonagall took a photo with her, minnie and marauders era students is always so fun to read about. (4/8) you imagine her keeping all of those memories in a box and looking at them after most of her students from that time period die in the war.) Peter had some really good costume ideas after all. But honestly, thank you for... giving peter a personality. In most fics he's just there, only eating in the background (similar to movie!ron). But in sbtmas he's so great and has a great sense of humor (he got his hands on a pen and chose to write "evans' bitch on james' face, an icon). I feel like

okay, that hurt my feelings. I can just picture McGonagall getting teary eyed as she stares at a picture of the Marauders after the second wizarding war, wishing she could have saved her students.

(5/8) this is going to make his betrayal so much better when it eventually happens. I mean, I was genuinely disturbed when james started to talk about how sneaky he was (famous last words). I loved all of the pranks they did in this chapter as well. The exorcist music and ballpoint pens were so creative (and they gave us that adorable scene with dorcas and nifflers) and also... funny. I feel like in a way, it showed how much marauders learned from "The Prank" and matured because of it. Last year

Peter was a marauder through and through. he was just as sneaky as the others, brimming with personality and just as smart. maybe not in academics, but the fucker had strengths in other areas. It was such a pet peeve of mine when they didn't include him in the fics I used to read. idk, sbtmas is everything I guess I wanted in a fic that I didn't get 💀 (I sound a bit egotistical here. If it comes off that way, I don’t mean it to)

(6/8) their halloween prank with spiders was a bit cruel. But this time, it's somethig that would make everyone laugh and maybe a bit annoyed, but still less harmless. Everything was funny and great and honestly, while I was reading this I was laughing the entire time... until I got to the "five years" part! Now that was cruel! You really did used costumes and pranks as a distraction and hit us with the angst! One second I was laughing and the next moment I was having an existential

(7/8) how we have no idea about what future will bring and you can never know how much time you will have with your loved ones before it's all taken away from you. But I guess that's the appeal of the marauders era, we all know about the tragic ending they will have but still want to learn about their hogwarts years. And of course the song you chose perfectly captured that. It's halloween 1976, exactly five years before lily and james' death. And they have no idea about how they only have five

(8/8) years together. James and lily was laughing along with peter! There was something so beautiful yet disturbing about the innocence they have and you captured it beautifully. I can imagine sirius, sitting by himself somewhere, thinking about how he lost his friends and not having any idea about the tragic things that'll happen to him (or how he'll try to break into hogwarts on halloween 1993 to kill one of his friends). So it's better late than never. Seriously for don't answer before and make you wait I didn't forget it I just this was more difficult than I expected every time I saw the white page on my computer I didn't felt the inspiration or have the energy to do it but it's 3 am, I can't sleep sooooo

let's started:

*jughead won't be alcoholic *Veronica isn't married *that awful song doesn't exist, that dint happen was just a collective nightmare instead veronica sings "I kissed a girl" to betty bcs I want to. * maybe is unpopular but I'm not excited for the idea of all working on the high school post-time jump give me glee flashbacks and I hate it. * I will ignore all the new interviews, stills, spoilers. I choose delusion. * I use the phrase "rebuild the truth" a lot Even when I hate it I will give more priority to the cheating storyline and the arcs of the characters how this will affect not only their relationship romantic/friendship. I would put a really heart-heart conversation between Jarchie, Beronica, and Barchie; Ba comes clear apologizing bcs they make a mistake and being sincere with JV. Talking about Ba I dig more into their thinking, motivations, and feelings for both, Give to Archie his point of view and give MORE priority to the core 4 trauma and how they deal with it. And then try to figure out how it could move the plot of the mystery like maybe when Jughead finds out about the kiss he tries to distract himself and go more into the mystery as we see before. Archie's having the things clear in the end but Veronica choosing herself first and deciding that break up would be the best even when it would hurt both. I would show a bit of their life's out on Riverdale Just to the end of the episode, there's some reason everybody comes back to the town probably related to the death (I still think that pops will die). Veronica would be a successful businesswoman, she is an icon in New York and dates a beautiful woman called Rebbeca but when veronica decides to come back to RVD they break up, bcs Rebecca wants to take a time to work on herself, and Veronica comebacks to Riverdale to take control again of pops and start to work with Tabitha remodeling pops maybe and maybe try to become it a franchise. I'm not sure what I would do with Archie but the writers either, so I'll keep the firefighter storyline but he would use a shirt all the time bcs I'm tired of seeing KJ on shirtless (at this point is every man of this show) also he will take total control of Fred's construction company. Veronica contracts Fred's company and varied start to spend more and more time together and try to be just friends while finding their way back to each other and obviously angsty, pining, longing maybe a bit more of angsty and Pining Archie fight for V love. I'll give Toni the screentime that she deserves and let her shine for herself I would like that the show makes justice to the choni/Toni storyline this season but I learn don't get my hope up with this show focusing on the Toni family and her backstory more and making her an individual character again. I'll love to see more musicals moments Vannesa and drew singing together, and Toni and fangs being on a band give to me now. I think first I will talk about ba and then about betty. Love triangle: No más eso no sirve. So I will end with that before time jump they will still felt guilty and regretful for hurt JV and lose them. Archie always be the boy that betty dreamed of for too long and Bettys will always have on Archies heart also they don't idealize each other anymore but still, they will love each other but in a different way.I'm not against the show exploring new relationships and least to betty dating someone else I always expected that the writers will explore ba at some point, I just expected something different, so I'm not against ba dating post time jump for any reason that the writers could think but the thing I would do its ba talking about their feelings for one another, discussing how to live could've been if he never rejected her (not so much bcs Jason was already death, anyways) make a what-if episode/ or an Au episode where Archie don't reject betty but ultimately in that episode it is shown that they are better off as friends & that the road not taken still would lead to bugvarchie.

One thing that I love about the s1 is that in a way or another everybody was involved in the mystery the core 6 with Toni and the serpents could be a good way to get information. One of the points of the season will be the redemption and the rebuild of the seasons so I will go to a semi-slow-burn with the friendships of the shows, I never feel what I supposed to feel for Jarchie but one of the things that I love about some fics saw the rebuild of beronica friendship so I would put so much effort on that and put more moments when we could appreciate the friendship of the core 4 to make it feel more genuine.  Veronica will forgive Betty when seeing how much betty misses her and try to fix the things between them.

As a lot of people do I think that bughead won't break up pre-time jump, Jughead will forgive betty and they will try a long-distance relationship I would like to say that they will leave the cheating behind we would see them being happy and walking to the sunset and live happily ever after but a cheating storyline for them breaking up for the distance doesn't feel good to me so the cheating will affect their relationship and they will try to get over it but it will be a little factor+ the distance and all the responsibilities that have on the university combined make them realize that the timing isn't right, time apart for growing individually, met other people, so they talk about and decide that break up is the best and have a friendly break up.

I think that betty would meet a lot of people some serious relationships other not so serious she will meet some idiots sadly wemet some idiots (that she later will tell veronica and they would laugh together about the looser that stood up Betty and didn't see her on that beautiful readdress) and some really nice guys, Charmings that will care about her and he will want her but sadly the things won't work out. Betty being an FBI agent I'm in, betty being a full badass I'm in, her struggling to follow the rules of the FBI I'm in that's the betty that we love. I have not problems with our favs having difficult times I would keep him having writers' block but not one hit writer I will go to him having problems to find the inspiration to write the end of the story that he starts a long time ago. And for Jessica even when I would like to see jealous betty it seems that every relationship at the beginning of the time jump its borrow time and that's unfair for her so they will be together like 2 or 3 eps max, I think Jughead will love her but on a different way that he loves betty and their relationship seems that isn't on a good moment since the beginning so betty being again on jughead life will be just little factor on their relationship I would put betty investigating the disappearance of Polly and jughead with the Mothman they investigating in different paths until the next episode to see that their investigation is related and start to work together. I'm here to see bughead being single for a time, see their relationships as friends then I will go to the undercover/fake dating/kissing for a cover route I will go for angst, the pining, jealousy, Longing looks, and denial of their feelings and there would be conflict both being scare pf their feelings, let the walls that the build after years being apart down until they can hide the fact that never stop loving to each other. Also, I add this of last moment while we explore bughead future I would show more about bughead backstory, go more into their friendship and pre-pilot relationship, they reading together young Jughead pining for young betty I'm a sucker for that.
