The marauders

James is a red Converse boy (he wears them religiously)

Remus is a tan steal toed doc Martins boy (he mostly wears them because if he accidentally kicks someone he doesn't like in the back of the leg or in the shin it'll hurt 10x more)

Peter wears tranors (sneakers for u Americans) and black Converse he prefers comfortability over style but yet he accidentally always matches his shoes to his outfit

Sirius wears any black pair of boots he can find (his favorite are platform shoes because they make him taller cuz he's a short boy)

The Slytherin skittles

Barty wears just plain black doc Martin and the occasional pair of Converse

Regulus wears green Converse when he's able to but if his family are in the way he's wearing fancy boy shoes (he also wears platform boots he steals from Evan for the same reason Sirius wears them)

Evan wears platform boots and are his feet killing him by the end of the day, yes, does he care, no

Pandora wears Mary Janes because they match everything she wears and she even puts butterfly clips on them if she can

Dorcas has just a rainbow of Converse and she draws and decorates the hell out of them

A Bond In Youth || Jyl & Anakin

After so many months away, the Jedi temple feels... strange.

Master Tranor isn't there. She left Jyl with High Councilor Coleman to go ELSEWHERE on a mission. Elsewhere isn't a place, it is the same as anywhere or nowhere. It is the word Master Tranor uses about the places she would go to when what she really meant was that Jyl wasn't allowed to go with her and shouldn't even try to ask. That hasn't ever stopped Jyl. But so far, she's never managed to convince Mastrer Tranor.

High Councilor Coleman is nice to her. Usually, Jyl likes hanging out with him as he has many stories of his youth, stories about monsters and heroism that keep her on the edge of her seat. But he has responsibilities and, if Jyl is honest, he is really old. He doesn't know many games and the ones he does know involve cards and SITTING STILL. The bane of her existence.

She'd been excited when Coleman told her about a sculpting class Master Veleckra gives. Now, she's unsure.

Jyl doesn't know anyone in that class. Some faces are familiar, it's only been a little under a year since she was taken as a Padawan and her training away from the temple began. But she struggles to remember their names, and they seem to have the same trouble remembering hers– or anything about her. Once creche mates stare at her like she's a complete stranger even after she's been introduced to the class. Then, Master Veleckra tells them all that they're going to work in pairs. Jyl doesn't move from her sitting cushion, her gaze focused on the little piece of clay they'd been given to practice with as Veleckra had explained the properties of red clay and the task at hand: they'd have to take turns holding the clay and sculpting it, all with the force.

"Youngling Somtay," Master Veleckra calls to her. "How about you and Youngling Skywalker work together? You have similar energy levels."

Similar energy levels... sounds like he means 'another child who struggles to sit still'. She looks around, her gaze focusing on a boy that looks her same age as Veleckra motions the right way. He looks just as out of place, as alone, as she does. Jyl rises to her feet and walks up to him, a smile on her face.

"Hello!" she says. "I'm Jyl. What's your name?"

My beloved Morgan @rewritetheending (💖💖) tagged me to post whatever the fuck I want, and since I haven't been able to focus on any creative project recently I'm diving back into my choir archives to see what I find. Coincindentally, it's almost exactly three years since we published this video (three years and one week as of today) so that works out pretty well!

This got made in March-April 2020, right in the middle of the first covid lockdown when everything just... stopped. We were supposed to perform this song on our spring concert, and it would've been the very first public performance of the song, since it was written late 2019, but instead we created a virtual choir. In a sense, the first performance will always live on like this.

The song's called Tranor, "Cranes," and was written with the intention of being a song used to wish someone well. In the past three years it's become a quite often requested song at our quartet gigs, and I've sung it at graduations, birthday celebrations, private parties, and funerals.

Some parts of Sweden apparently used to have a tradition similar to Santa Claus, except it took place in the spring, and with cranes instead of bearded old men. The crane dropped eggs down the chimney, placed gifts in the children's stockings and beat the naughty kids with birch twigs. People even made crane costumes and ran around making crane noises.

This is an excellent addition to my yearly celebrations.

Tranor is a beautiful song omg! I was sad that it ended so quickly because i was literally lost in it

Hihiii thank you so much 💛💛💛 I really like it as well, and it's so pleasant to sing (except the long tones when you're alone in your voice and can't just draw breath whenever because no one else will carry the note)!

I also realized I forgot to mention in the post that it's written by two former members of my choir who have become professional musicians. 😌
