what would squilliam and shoehorn think of the stab movies?
So in-universe they're considered kind of bad and trashy when they come out, and from what we see they play in to a lot of the cheesy slasher tropes that scream subverts (ex. turning Casey's death into a shower scene for no reason). Later on in the franchise we find out they've developed a cult following, and from what we see of them on screen they're very campy. There's lots of movies IRL that follow this pattern going from bomb to cult classic: Dead Alive, The Thing, Slither, Phantom of the Paradise, ect, ect.
We also know that at least the first 3 Stab movies are directed by Robert Rodriguez who is a real (and kind of awesome) director known for stuff like From Dusk Till Dawn, Spy Kids, Machete, Sin City, and Planet Terror. I genuinely like a lot of his work but its pretty over the top, over campy, silly, fun so I think that gives us a sense of how those first three Stab movies feel.
We also know that Stab 8 was directed by Rian Johnson, director of Knives Out, Glass Onion, and the TV show Poker Face- all stuff that can have a bit of a lighter tone, not devoid of camp, but generally movies that take themselves a little more seriously. To illustrate the difference between these guys I could imagine Rian Johnson actually directing a modern Scream movie, but I can't really see Robert Rodriguez doing the same. This is far from an insult to Robert Rodriguez by the way, I just think his style is better suited to other stuff. So I think probably the later Stab movies feel a bit more like the Scream movies, while the earlier ones exist in a different media space.
To recap, based on what we see in the Scream movies, Stab is a bit cheesy and trashy, pretty campy, but they do ultimately develop an audience later on. So far, this sounds like something Stu would be into tbh, I think he likes the silly stuff as much as the really fucked up stuff, and the fact that its based on his own story would be hilarious to him. Like he would find it so fucking funny that they inserted a random shower scene in for Casey, and he would find his own portrayal by Vince Vaughn to be hilarious.
Billy is another story. I do think that Billy can enjoy a sillier slasher, especially if it has other stuff going for it (eg. gore, creative kills ect, insane body horror), but he can't buy in to the same amount of ridiculousness as Stu can. Beyond that there's the fact that the Stab movies are a bastardization of his story, like Billy already considers the massacre his movie, so the Stab movies are a bad remake to him. I think especially the idea that his killings aren't being taken seriously would aggravate him.
And then there's the fact that he's played by Luke Wilson. And like. Listen. I don't have anything against Luke Wilson, I know very little about him but I know Billy Wouldn't be happy about this:
Tumblr media
Honestly I don't know who they could have cast as Billy that wouldn't have pissed him off. I think that as much as he would want the notoriety of his story being adapted into a movie, he would functionally enjoy being portrayed by someone else.
In the context of my writing, where he and Stu survive this is especially true because the Stab movies in Debaserverse will have Billy and Stu as final boys. Realistically this means they'll be shoved into tropey archetypes, a number of which Billy would hate for himself.
Stab is absolutely going to come into play in WoM by the way! I won't go into much detail about that right now but let it be known. There will be Stab.

I find your thoughts on fandom interesting, and in general, I'm really glad to see more discussion of the bad shit fandom can/is doing to young women in radblr spaces. But I mean this as an honest question: Why do you consider fandom not challenging writers/readers such a problem? These aren't professional writing spaces, and the vast majority of fanfic writers don't intend to go into them. Does an artistic hobby *need* to challenge its participants to be worthwhile? I mean this all really genuinely, especially as someone who *does* work in the arts and *does* actively want work that challenges me, and has traditionally prided herself on it -- are these inherent moral goods? Am I a reasonable standard to expect of other people? Is engaging with boundary-pushing art a requirement of healthy maturity? Why? Is, say, a human rights lawyer who spends her free time watching trashy reality shows blighted, somehow, by that fact? What about a cashier who watches the same stuff because she's genuinely not interested in anything else? And, given the vast majority of readers of actual books basically read the way fanfic-only readers read -- the same genres, which use well-worn tropes -- do we think fandom is actually keeping its participants from more worthwhile experiences? (I suspect you might argue this is dumbing down the publishing industry, which I would really disagree with, as someone in publishing -- I know we can all point to Ali Hazelwood or a million YA books that advertise with tropes, but I really can't emphasize enough that this has been the case since modern publishing began, and I think pinning "so-so prose that's The Same Old Shit" on the current young female writer cohort borders on sexism, tbh.) I've been thinking about these questions a lot lately, and I just don't know the answers. My gut wants to say yes, it's good to present challenging work to people, especially women, because art is a key part of the human experience, and can effect all sorts of societal things. But also ... I know very little about the environment, including my immediate natural environment, and if I'm honest, I'm not really inclined to learn. I'm sure learning about it would effect all sorts of change in my life and concept of self. But I'm probably not going to do it because I have a limited amount of time and I'd rather give it to other things. Is that better or worse than engaging with challenging art? Is it better or worse to be me than the woman reading the same old tropey fanfic in her free time? I think what I WOULD argue is that, specifically, fandom as it is reinforces patriarchy and induces a lot self-destruction and alienation in young women, with particularly vile effects on young lesbians, autistic women, etc. But if it didn't do that....would I still have a problem with it? I don't know. But it's interesting as hell to think about, and I'd love your thoughts on it.
hello nona :-) many interesting points, much to consider
>Does an artistic hobby need to challenge its participants to be worthwhile?
no. I’m sure there are plenty of people who enjoy crochet or knitting or something like that for the sake of it or to de-stress. I’m sure there are also plenty of people who write and draw for the sake of it with little interest in grinding for improvement. that’s fine. the problem is when you have people who replace reading and personal edification with endless fluff + pointless indulgence.
reading... things... that are above your level, that actually make you think, is how you increase your vocabulary, your linguistic competence, your critical thinking skills, your ability to express yourself. difficult and complex texts present you with opportunities to broaden your perspective. they stimulate your mind, present you with new ideas; they can help you grow as a person in ways that the Same Old Shit simply won’t/can’t. it would be like benching the bar every day for 10 years straight and expecting to get stronger... I presume. I don’t lift weights.
as I said previously, I don’t think fanfic is going to destroy your brain, but if you read nothing but fanfic, that is on the same level as (or maybe worse than) reading nothing at all. of course I’m going to be critical of a community of people who humblebrag about how they can’t bring themselves to read 25 pages of literature in an academic (non yaoitastic) context.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ya ya it’s a joke they’re joking very funny, but do you see people of other creative pursuits or hobbies joking about how they can’t bring themselves to focus on a piece of actual literature or nonfiction? how they have zero interest in anything outside of anime boys kissing each other? it’s a sign of intellectual stagnation (and eventual regression imo).
I watch a lot of shitty youtube videos, but I acknowledge that they are basically a waste of my time. meanwhile you have post after post singing the praises of how culturally important and worthy of respect Our Beloved Fic Writers are in spite of the fact that their work is, by and large, completely self-indulgent shit! there’s just so much potential that isn’t being tapped into & so much complacency... it’s very frustrating to me. I find it dishonest. red white and royal blue is not going to change the world... lol
for the record, yes, you are right, lots of Real book-readers also read mostly self-indulgent shit. genre fiction is far more popular than anything else... and I don’t care for booktok either. in fairness, literary fiction isn’t always good, and I’m sure there were many women who read nothing but terrible pulp novels 70 years ago too. that doesn’t make fandom any better! not to say this is all women’s fault - I just have zero frame of reference for how “cultured” men may or may not be, and I don’t really care either way. I focus on fandom girlies because they’re what I know, & I want women to be... better, or at least more interesting. this is, of course, sexist by definition. I hold myself and other women to higher standards. I will admit to that. I’ll also admit to the fact that I do not care about men or what they are writing or reading and would not give a shit if they all became illiterate thoughtless slugs. it is what it is.
truthfully, I have no interest in moralizing any of this. I just find it depressing! it’s resulting in more and more women who cannot relate to and have zero interest in anything outside of the narrowly defined fanfic bubble - so, more and more women who can’t relate to me or what I care about. I’m selfish, and I think it’s unfortunate that there are so many young female writers clearly capable of writing something interesting who nevertheless restrict themselves to lowest common denominator coombrained garbage because it’s what’s easy and popular.
do we have a responsibility to pester random strangers about their amateur fanfic? naw. who has the time? all I know is that conversations I’ve had with my female friends about our original works or other women’s writing have been vastly more substantial and enlightening than any argument about who tops or bottoms in supernatural... imo. in my opinion
re: the environment and social responsibility, I also have no interest in debating what matters are the most important and whether you have a personal, moral obligation to educate yourself about them. I recognize that we all have a limited amount of time and energy to dedicate to something which is admittedly fairly peripheral to most people’s everyday concerns (such as... paying the bills). then again, so is almost everything.
at the end of the day, I just think it is an awful shame that some women would - and they freely admit this - rather turn their brains off and do nothing, think about nothing, read the same shit over and over, watch the same shows over and over, draw and write the same things and dynamics over and over... than do anything else. anything different or thought-provoking or uncomfortable. it is a loss for the breadth and the depth of women’s contributions to culture as well as their empathy and intellectual curiosity.
obligatory food analogy: a little bit of junk food won’t kill you, but if that’s all you’re eating, you are probably not... doing... well
and that’s not even getting into the social contagion present within fandom re:mogai, relationships, and gender identity shit (which I would say probably has a lot to do with the underdeveloped critical thinking skills and worldviews of girls who read nothing but fanfiction). I would love to come back to that at some point, but I think this post is long enough, so I’ll just put a pin in it. there’s honestly an insane amount that I have to say about common talking points regarding the value of yaoi/fanfic (in terms of how they portray Marginalized Identities and Relationships and how it supposedly helps women navigate their own trauma through a proxy or some shit like that) oh god this is a horrible run-on .... that’s all for now! send post!

i’ve complied a LONG  list of plots that i want after digging through lots of plotting posts, so pls give this a like if you’re interested in any and i’ll message you! ( contains taboo things )
Religious girls are so fucking hot tbh. Like yeah make sure you keep that cross necklace on while you’re stretching your ass out with a plug and fucking your throat with your favorite dildo. I’m sure your God loves what he’s seeing from you 😂
ok but fuck, unhappily married corporate dude having an affair with his hot young assistant is one of my favourite trashy tropey plots someone gimme
a plot where yeah i’m dating my older brothers best friend who is also older than him and me but my brother doesn’t know and lots of sexual tension and he fingers her at the dinner table and whenever the friend sleeps over he always goes to her room and sleeps in her bed until morning until he has to get up to lay back at her brothers room to make it seem like he was there the whole night oh my god PLEASE
“i’m dating your sibling, but now i’ve met you, i’ve realized that maybe i picked the wrong sibling. but that’s not going to stop me from touching you underneath the dinner table, and screwing you in your parents bed.”
oh to be an aggressive hockey guy who gets into fights during matches and has to be patched up afterwords by the exasperated medic who has a soft spot for me who’s always telling me to be careful and sometimes we fight over my reckless attitude and maybe it gets heated one night and the medic yells “i care about you asshole!!” and i need to reevaluate our every single interaction
substitute teacher who likes giving out assignments and students hate him so much for that then one night, big brother bought a friend home and shit, it’s the substitute teacher who literally called you out for not passing your homework, and fuck, he is smirking like a total asshole.
Muse A happens to walk in on Muse B while they’re masturbating. Either Muse A offers to help after finding themselves too attracted by the sight to really turn away, or Muse B continues to work towards getting themselves off, indicating that they were masturbating with Muse A in mind.
Muse A has a friend over, who admits to having a crush on Muse A’s relative, Muse B. When Muse A confesses to having similar feelings, the two discuss the possibility of maybe coming onto Muse B with the idea of a naughty threesome in mind.
im always trash for taboo relationship plots:
- relieving him from sexual frustration with a handjob or blowjob - being his cum dump every day - fucking while hiding - riding him in the middle of the night and forcing him to cum in her - handjob in the backseat on a roadtrip - public sex outside a party - glory hole at a party or club bathroom
Also, presidents party girl daughter who has been assigned a new secret service bodyguard. He has no idea what he’s in for or the trouble she attracts. She has a problem with the word ‘no’ and he likes to say it a lot.
“it’s the middle of the night on a saturday and i’ve been thrown into holding by the cops and am i high or did i just get thrown into the same holding cell as a celebrity???” au
“while hiding from the paparazzi i ran into the first building i saw and it turns out you work here and what the fuck do you MEAN you’re closed and i have to get out, have some MERCY!” au
“i just went to one of your shows, and now an hour later you’ve tweeted about some gorgeous person you noticed in the crowd and wait why does this describe me exactly” au
this is a holy place, so you better be quiet and respectful while i screw you in the confessional booth.
I have a gigantic crush on you and you called me on the phone while I was masturbating but I picked up anyway and you caught on to what I was doing but you didn’t hang up??? Does this mean you like me??? Does this mean we’re gonna have phone sex???
I hid in your closet to scare you as a joke but when you came in you started masturbating and I can’t just get up and leave but if I get caught in your closet you’ll think I’m a pervert I regret my life choices
We’re roommates and we always look through each other’s mail and I certainly was not expecting to find a vibrator when I opened your package how much time do I have to re tape this before you get home
I bought dick popsicles as a joke but you look really hot how you’re sucking on that fuck
AGE GAP AUS
do clubs where you can wear a masquerade mask and be anonymously fucked and watched by dozens of people only exist in fanfiction or is there a membership card i can apply for
M/M PLOTS I DESPERATELY NEED:
- we’re costars working on a film (plus points for both of them playing the love interest in one of those annoying love triangles) and fell in love backstage, sneaking around each other’s trailers and whatnot - we’re on the same sports team but one of us is still in the closet, so we make out in the showers after training and vanish from parties to kiss in the car - i thought you’re dating my sister/brother but what do you mean you’re just friends and hanging around the house because you’re interested in me?? - i’m a big rock star and you’re my opening gig, and after the show we share sweaty kisses and have our own aftershow party in the tour bus you were the first boy i kissed but we never saw each other again after that party. years later we meet again and it’s like a throwback in time - i thought i was straight but there’s this cute af boy who makes me question my sexuality and turns my world upside down - bad boy turning soft for a soft boy -  *slams fist on the table* I’M ALWAYS A SLUT FOR NERD/JOCK DYNAMICS!
OR JUST ANYTHING HERE

hey!! i really loved your answer to the one anon asking why you hate booktok. i feel like people think when we talk about our distaste of booktok books we are condemning real people for reading them.
the way i see it, booktok books are like junk food. they feel good while consuming but if you only continue eating that, your health & body will literally be in shambles. i've seen accounts that SOLELY read these tropey booktok romances & they don't read any other genre.
tropey or trashy romance novels have always existed and people have always read them whether in between serious books to change moods or to just have a fun time. the problem is how the marketing now makes these books the top selling books with the maximum capital going behind the publication of these books (which are often just romances by cishet white authors featuring cishet white characters *cough* ali h*zelwood *cough*). this affects authors of colour & queer authors & the monopoly of booktok books in the publishing industry is something that they don't understand.
it's literally the loss of critical thinking skills for me. noone is telling them to stop consuming romance altogether lol. we're telling them to not let the publishing market reduce books to tropes lol.
totally agreed!! it's not about the readers; that's a very minute part of the problem (but a problem nonetheless) but the algorithm and how everyone is just so susceptible to it and no one ever brings up the faults, its concerning bc tiktok is just obsessed with calling every minute incorrect thing problematic but no one ever brings it up here

✨️ basics about tart
name: c'astarhte kasvert
nicknames: tart
age: 22
nameday: 16th sun of the sixth astral moon (nov 16)
race: seeker of the sun miqo'te/ishgardian elezen
gender: transfem but currently male (she/her and he/him both ok lol)
orientation: bisexual disaster
profession: adventurer, captain of the maelstrom, the warrior of light
✨️ physical appearance
hair: dark blue, highlights dyed light blue/red/green, kept short and gelled
eyes: light green
skin: light tan
tattoos/scars: her cheek markings are tattooed, not natural haha, though as a male miqo'te the facial markings are natural. there are several scars:
- across the nose from childhood accident (tried to wield a sword at age 5. did not go well. has since sworn to hate swords forever)
- left corner of lips, got slapped by a goobbue and hit her head on a rock. rip
- right shoulder to middle of chest, bisected by odin's zantetsuken. died from this injury but was revived by a padjali white mage
- also middle of chest, stabbed by forgiven rebellion
- down both forearms, from blocking susano's ame-no-murakumo
- across the abdomen from zenos
✨️ family
parents: former knights of the dawn vigil. dad was a seeker of the sun miqo'te, current fate unknown. father is an ishgardian elezen, now works as a scholar and archivist in falcon's nest
siblings: none
grandparents: from father's side, both have died. from dad's side, still living somewhere in ilsabard. tart has never met them
in-laws and other: family friend tart calls uncle is a sharlayan scholar. as well as, uh, father's right hand man, of sorts, their trusted retainer and botanist crescenza (funnily enough these two are viera men)
pets: hunting hawk from falcon's nest, chocobo chargeburst, and many, many wind-up mammets
✨️ skills
abilities: tart is virtually the best at the discipline of warrior. her axe-wielding prowess and self-sustaining defense are top-notch. she's also got the chops to command the battlefield as a vanguard. aside from combat, she's great at creating and maintaining weapons. her trades of choice are carpentry and blacksmithing
hobbies: tart is very lacking at reading comprehension, but that just means she makes herself practice a lot. her favorite subject to read is romance: simple, predictable, tropey, some will say trashy, romance novels. she reads them out loud to herself to understand the contents. other than that, tart loves to take walks and enjoy nature, or craft little figurines and dolls to give away to kids. though most of her time outside of work is dominated by physical training. there are always further heights to achieve when it comes to combat prowess
✨️ traits
most positive trait: tart believes wholeheartedly in the value of self-improvement. she loves to see herself and other people become better versions of themselves. it makes her see the best in others and forgive their failings (and, very often, fall in love with them, haha)
most negative trait: tart is very self-centered. she tends to place her desires above all else (and make no mistake, being the warrior of light is very much her desire more than a duty) and when someone else "gets in the way" of them, tart will retaliate with full force
✨️ likes
colors: midnight/ink/abyssal blue, peacock/celeste green, dalamud/rolanberry red
smells: rain, coffee, citrus, all kinds of wood, reeq (he likes to wear rose-scented perfume ww)
textures: worn leather, polished wood, skin (reeq's hands especially)
drinks: mulled wine, lemonade, espresso con panna, all kinds of fruit punch and smoothies
✨️ other details
smokes: no. her father smokes and she can't stand it
drinks: yes, for warmth and in social situations. surprisingly low alcohol tolerance, she falls asleep when drunk
drugs: would enjoy them but doesn't want to get addicted. it would be catastrophic
mount issuance: chargeburst was given to her on signing with the maelstrom. he's an extremely violent bird which has to be dragged beaten and bloody out of fights, and even then charge still wants to maim and kill so so bad. tart has other mounts but they're not quite real animals, more like projections of elemental aether created from primal battles. her favorites are the rose lanner and enbarr
been arrested: unfortunately she's always been on the right side of the law. except for the time she assaulted jullus, but it's not like anyone would be so pressed to prosecute the warrior of light on behalf of a garlean
✨️ extra
tart is transmasc (sort of?) for now. as a treat. it happened after 6.5 so he/him tart is only after all of post-endwalker

My dear, I would love if you do headcanons about small demonstrations of affection, like Dick kissing Jason's forehead.
- with love, anon.
When Jason is reading, Dick will rub his shoulder or ruffle his hair. Jason never complains ; instead, he takes Dick's hand off wherever it's been and quietly kisses his knuckles.
Dick always leaves his shoes at the door when he's at Jason's place. Anywhere else, he's send them flying off somewhere near the couch, but Jason has a neat freak streak that he's learned to accomodate.
Jason has started taking Romani lessons with one of the working girls staying on Red Hood's turf. Both her and Dick find his accent absolutely hilarious. Well most of the time, at least. When they're snuggling together in bed, Jason's butchered words of love sound delightful.
Jason can't kiss Dick when he's wearing his helmet. Dick has taken to kiss the aforementionned helmet instead. Before leaping from a building, he'll grab Jason and peck him on his shiny red forehead.
Dick loves raw cake mix more than he loves anything. Jason makes twice the batter he needs just so Dick can lick it to his heart's content.
There's a secondhand bookstore in Blüdhaven where Dick goes scouring for silly old paperbacks. Bodice rippers, pulp fantasy, tropey SF, trashy crime novels - he'll find hidden gems and leave them for Jason to find in safehouses so he always has something to read.
They read case files in silence, Dick's feet snuggled under Jason's thighs. There's cold coffee on the desk and lebanese take-out on the coffee table. They don't talk - they don't have to. Being together is enough.

Height : 5'7"ish
Hobbies : i have adhd literally everything is my hobby but anyway writing, doodlin frogs, various crafts, occasionally painting, sometimes graphic design, legos, playing video games, journaling/calligraphy, collecting tiny plastic nonsense and other various trinkets and tchotchkes, oh god there's so many more help
Favorite color : iridescent, but the actual-color answer is mint green + pink
Favorite book : ohhhhh god. usually i say it's the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy which did a lot to inform my sense of humor and really inspired me as a writer, but i also can't remember half of it now and never got further than i think part of the restaurant at the end of the universe. one day i'll go back and re-read the whole series. probably. maybe.
Last song : home - kimbra (kimbra is so goooood guys if you've never listened to her stuff outside of somebody that i used to know check her out!!!)
Last Movie / Show : my dad just finished watching the charmed reboot and i kinda got into it right at the last season, and now it's over, and i'm a lil sad about it
Recent read : some random kindle unlimited gay romance novel about a pretty albino boy who gets saved by evil human traffickers by a bunch of hot mercenary-type dudes. it wasn't great but the sex scenes were hot and i love any kind of polyamory rep, even in trashy tropey romance novels.
Inspiration : right now i have my coffee-scented candle burning and that is sparking some serious cozy-fall-vibes inspo, so imagine that and enjoy
Fun fact : i can't whistle! i can play the flute and i can actually blow across pretty much any bottle and make a tone but i just can't get my mouth to whistle. nor can i blow bubblegum bubbles, and i suspect the two are related.
Story behind URL : one of my friends in college suggested it as a pesterchum handle that seemed to fit my vibe and i took it and ran with it. i can't remember if the cyclops OC i designed came first or after, but basically it seemed like fate.
What’s the colour palette of your name?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
did both choco & my real name and gonna be honest i'm never much a fan of muted earthy tones like this but some of the ones in my real name palette are speaking to me, esp. that dark navy + orange + pale sagey green combo happening over in the right corner there
anyway i guess i'll tag @teddytoroa @solobagginses @musicismymoirail and anyone else who wants to do it, as always tag me so i can see your answers!!!!!

Boku igai Zennin Tenseisha ka yo!?
'Everyone Is From Another World, Except Me!?' is a gag manga that throws all the popular isekai tropes into a blender, if you've read enough trashy isekai mangas you'll enjoy the satire. The main premise is 3 isekai protagonists each with their own tropey story (The all-powerful main character type, the appraisal mage that gets kicked out of his party and the villainess who runs away from her bad end) end up partying with the newbie adventurer from the town right next to the demon lords castle, hijincks ensue.

hohoho mayoi kiss for tatsumi MAYBE 8D?
universalcrossover answered:
The very thought of kissing someone like Tatsumi was enough to make Mayoi panic and start breaking a sweat. Comparing himself to his friend, Mayoi was nothing but a mere insect that was shining down on the holy light that is Tatsumi Kazehaya. Guess there really was no way out of this, huh? Better go through with it quick.
“U-Ummm... Tatsumi-san...” The purple-haired man can already feel his lips quivering a lot as he stared at the other. This was only gonna be a quick one, two, three kiss. That’s it.
No longer being able to think of what to say next, Mayoi went for a quick peck on Tatsumi’s cheek and immediately hid his face with his hands, feeling completely ashamed and embarrassed of himself as his face was covered pink with blush.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I-I don’t know why I d-did that at all! Please repent me of my sins, so I don’t have to exist in this world anymoreeeee!”

You might expect Tatsumi to lounge around and read the Holy Scriptures, but he wasn’t the type of devote Christian who had to have the Bible at hand at all times. He did prefer to read it before bed, but right now, his attention was on a trashy little light novel with an easy to follow - but overused and tropey - plot. Next to him stood a steaming cup of hot cocoa and a small tray of slightly spiced sesame crackers.
He looked up in surprise as Mayoi approached him and quickly arranged his features into a welcoming smile. You had to tread careful with Mayoi at times, especially when he seemed extra much on edge, which seemed to apply right now. “Yes, Mayoi-san? Can I help you with anything?”
The reply he got wasn’t one he had expected. Mayoi leaned closer to him and then, quickly, kissed his cheek. Blinking once, twice, Tatsumi’s purple eyes widened and he was stunned silent for a while. Just long enough for Mayoi to start babbling. Whining. Whatever you’d like to call it.
“Shh, don’t say that... What’s the occasion, Mayoi-san? It was very pleasant, but I don’t understand what I might have done to deserve your obvious affection like this...?”

i realize my ethos is going 2 be questionable when i say that i havent seen fight club but i have heard enough discussion abt fight club vis a vis how it is perceived as a "male power fantasy" despite its critique of toxic masculinity and. not 2 make everything abt scum villain but i also feel like a similar thing applies here where if u read scum villain start to finish and still come out of it being like "ahaha what a silly trashy tropey novel, it's scum villain vs. mxtx's two masterpieces" i feel like u missed the point somewhere along the way

Finally getting around to posting this, behold the Gobl1(N), a mercenary/trashy pop star from my newest pathfinder campaign. She’s part of a group of mercs that are also celebrities of a sort and an ongoing nuisance for the anti-corporate vigilantes that make up the campaign’s main party. She’s tropey trash on purpose, the whole setting is, but I love her.
