wait actually the fact that sam really is a waffle guy is soooo funny. he knew kaidan for less than a day when he asked if sam was a waffle guy why would he lie about that. did he think kaidan might use that against him somehow or had he already fallen victim to kaidan's charm or what????
Ahahahahaha.
Sam's a strategy guy. When it comes to sizing up an opponent - and everyone is an opponent until proven otherwise - he likes to let them talk themselves into hanging from their own noose by speaking very little and seeing what they're willing to say when the silence gets uncomfortable. For Sam, that first meeting they had was a fact finding mission. This stranger Sam was going to have to serve with seemed suspiciously altruistic and felt really strongly about pancakes, so Sam played along to see where it went and what he could learn.
He also wasn't exactly at his best. It's very possible that in the moment when the question came up, he was just...flustered. Something that doesn't happen to him often.
(Side note: Sam is so indifferent to food it matters very little to him. He mostly gets contrary about food preferences if he knows it will bother someone he enjoys bothering.)

I am about to let you all in on a writing tip/secret I kept for myself:
When writing a fight scene, watch actual fights. No not what they do in tv. But actual fights. MMA, Wrestling (Not WWE, we know that the E is more important that’s the Second W for them) and videos on weaponuse.
This may help you visualize how you want a fight to go and if it is actually possible, even if it’s a fantasy (you can add magical elements but there’s always a good point to have it mildly grounded in actual physics and body mechanics.)
For Example, I am writing a lil scuffle for the third part of His “Side Kick In The Chair” No Longer. Pavitr’s movements are inspired by an Indian Martial Art (Kalaripayattu) canonically*.
That led me on a journey to find a weapon that is Spider Man-like, Symbiote- like, adds a pizzazz to a fight like the movements of Pav would already bring and keep the user on the ground (it’ll make sense when I post and you read the fic). And that’s when I found it:
Note: I don’t really count the webs or Pav’s bracelets as weapons because while the webs can inconvenience someone, it can’t really hurt them without the aid of another object i;e at the end of Andrew Garfield’s second spider man move, when he lifts the man hole cover to fling it at Rhino. And imagine getting whacked by a bracelet, I would be too stunned that I got hit with a jewelry store exclusive to put up a fight.
A Rope Dart.
This video is extremely helpful because it shows how the bones and muscles will have to move to make it work and thus, easier to write.
ALSO JUST LOOKAT THE SKILL
*I thought I read or watched it somewhere so don’t take that as gospel.

Who can do the most tricks with their weapons
Sorry for the late reply! If you're referring to my ocs, I'd have to say Nyx.
Each of the three can do all sorts of tricks but mainly pertaining to one or two weapons [like Kathrine with her knives and blades and Tomás with guns] but Nyx handles all sorts of items and tools like from his ranch to even mundane items such as pens and, of course, weapons. So after handling all of this, they're bound to come up with some tricks over time.

Alright my Lunar theory was wrong-
It seems Lunar is not a bargaining tool, only a henchman really.
And one that Eclipse planned for to...
Ever since Lunar got 'set out' and Moon got stuck in his own head Sun's mentality seemed to have gone down DRASTICALLY. Like, recently he went full on 'It's useless' on us. Maybe off camera Lunar is making Sun feel worse and worse about himself and what he does. We already knew that Sun felt useless, in an old video... I think the name was "Sun and Moon are Brothers" but Sun briefly mentions to the audience how he feels worthless but never brings it up to Moon... Maybe Eclipse knew this and had Lunar play on it? Maybe by bringing Sun down Eclipse has more power over him... But, since Sun doesn't know Lunar is in control he believes Moon is the one doing this! Meaning that Sun is not only feeling worse about himself but feeling worse about Moon! WHICH SEPERATES THEM MORE AND GIVES LUNAR AND ECLIPSE MORE POWER!!
Wait. What if Lunar, when we first saw him, was acting? We as a community see him as this sweet boi but recently he's been proving himself to be quite the opposite. It does seem that Eclipse has planned this thoroughly so he may have planned for the fans to notice Lunar and may have trained Lunar to act sweet and kind to get the fans on his side.
Basically, Sun and Moon might have ANOTHER fight... Lunar is a liar, and Eclipse is... pretty smart if this is true...
