Dickkory au, but Starfire is a magical fairy being and Dick is a very popular and beloved Knight who is known for saving many lives everyday in his village like a hero

1) The first met when Dick was given his assignment by Lord Bruce of the House of Wayne to investigate the forests Kori’s people have hidden for centuries in hopes of finding an ancient artifact their enemies would’ve used for wicked purposes. At first, the brave knight couldn’t really decipher these fates language until Kori casts a spell that grants to ability to absorb languages with lip contact. The two then found that artificial and defeated the invading Gordanian clan of Orcs and Goblins side to side.

2) Since then, the two have been always together as part of a general party Dick has alongside a shapeshifting prankster former royal fool and a powerful Wiccan raised by monks of the Order of Azarath to use her powers for good, embarking from the mundane including escorting some goods to neighboring village to the grand including defeating a wicked fire breathing dragon within the tallest mountains.

3) It’s clear to many townsfolk the party passes by and even to lords, kings and lords their royalty they encounter that Dick has strong feelings for Kory, though he at first wouldn’t want to engage with them as he feels his duties, being the leader for his party and his vassalage are of top priority. Kori though suspects this as well as she’s more open to her own feelings

4) They finally are able to confirm their feelings for each other in the midst of a Great War in the land courtesy of the invading dark lord Trigon from the forsaken lands with his grand armies of orcs, trolls and other foul creatures. It was after Raven had banished her demonic father to the dimensions of punishment and the day was saved did Dick finally confess his love for Kori as she was recuperating from her wounds back in her forests. Many can comment upon their first kiss, it was about time

5) Years later as Dick eventually was given his own lands known as Bludhaven as a reward for his valiance and bravery in the long years, he immediately betrothed and wedded his beloved Kori, both of them ruling their lands as King and Queen equally. Within the years following such a wedding, the two would a lovely Crown Princess and Prince in the form of Mar’i and Jake

Yeah basically Fantasy Sort of AU here but you can definitely build in it XD

You ever have shower-thoughts at 2am for a fandom you havent touched in like 5 years? In fairness, Teen Titans was my shit for like 13~ years, y'all i literally ran out of fanfic to read, it was bad.

Regardless, i was snooping on the tags for Raven again and found this mini-lecture on the semantics of Hell!Demon vs DimensionalRift!Demon in dc, and the author mentioned how much more powerful Raven's story is if she is considered to be this inherently evil creature that chooses good despite her instincts that literally radiate #badvibes off of her.

And i began to hear the rattling of genius within my mostly deserted skull. So now Everyone must bear witness to my unraveling.

K so Trigon is pretty much established to be less Demon and more so Demon God, right? And has thusly fecked his way through the dimensional void, spawning his little half-demon babies, yeah?

Our boy's got 7 children, each forming the living embodiment of humanities worst traits. (As explained via convenient Western Religious analogies).

2. Sloth

3. Wrath

4. Lust

5. Greed

6. Gluttony

7. Envy ( full disclosure, took me 15 min to remember this one, which is sad and funny all on its own. Sorry not sorry dude )

Now, daddy-dearest wanna rule the universe, but needs a ride to do it, so he picks one of his kids, and boom, sudden Anti-christ, fair enough, demon-gotta-demon. So Trigon looks at his selection and chooses his only daughter, that'd be our girl Raven.

This is where i propose, Trigon Fucked Up, and inadvertently provided Raven with the only circumstances that would allow her to defy him.

With his other children, he clearly has total control of them, and to be fair Rae does have several altering factor that could contribute to her breaking free, Azarath and Azar's teachings included. But i dont think she needed them, i think she would have gone against him anyway.

Raven is mentioned to be his most powerful offspring, go off girl, but more importantly, those Sins up there, Our girl is Pride. Trigon chose Pride to be his portal.

( Which btw is the most typically pseudo-fatherly patriarchal bullshit and i am kind of here for it. :D )

Anyway, it is important that the sins are not just strong characteristics within these guys, the are the living fundamental expressions of these concepts. Nothing will ever alter who they are or how they are at their core.

Pride is the only sin that could have failed the portal.

Wrath, Lust, and Greed can be warped into believing it served their own goals

Sloth cant be bothered to fight it

Gluttony sees it as an expansion to their need to consume everything

Envy would do it just to prevent the others from getting there first

But Pride fundamentally cannot allow itself to submit to another. It has to come out on top, second best or equal share isnt good enough.

Raven has to fight him, because to do anything else is to war with her very nature, which is impossible. She can do good because the Sins are simply flaws, not in of themselves damning.

Admittedly i misspoke earlier, Dc Demons are not inherently Evil, they are inherently Malicious, ( which if youve spent any amount of time with preteens you know are not actually the same. )

Raven directs her darker natured instincts at bad guys and her father, still maintaining her nature as Pride, after all she is the most powerful Titan, raw power wise, and she knows it. Pride is content without constantly having to prove herself becuse she lacks the Envy amd Greed that usually come with excessive pride flaws.

Whats funny is that Trigons plan could have worked, if he simply wanted her to take over in his stead, rather than do it himself. But he was never going to do that because he is also Pride, and all the others too, and to do so is against his very nature.

Trigon: She’s my kid, okay? I’m supposed to go a bit easy on her. Look, it’s...it’s really thematic and Freudian and all that. My control over her, her trauma, it’s a brilliant metaphor, really. This is like her ironic hell.

Cyborg: I guess...I was just expecting something that would assault my very senses.

Trigon: ...have you ever heard Tara Strong’s little kid voice?

What are your favorite moments from the og Teen titans series?

“Go” (the story of the Titans and how they came to be), “Sisters” (debut of Blackfire), The Apprentice Arc (basically the Slade vs Robin episodes of Season 1 but especially the season finale where as the name implies, Robin becomes Slade/Deathstroke’s apprentice), “How Long is Forever?” (The one when Starfire got teleported to a bleak future that makes mainstream canon Titans comics look like comedy acts), “Only Human” (the one where Cyborg is challenged by another more jerkish cyborg, serves as character development in which he must learn to accept his robotic parts), “X” (the return of Red X), “Betrothed” (Blackfire’s second appearance and the first proper appearance of Planet Tamaran), “Transformation” (Starfire develops bodily changes that might be a subtle stand in for puberty), “The Beast Within” (Beast Boy, after being doused in experimental chemicals, undergoes something….animalistic within his DNA but with some twists throughout), “Bunny Raven” (the time Mumbo Jumbo traps our heroes in his magic hat that leaves them at his mercy), “Don’t Touch That Dial” (Super nerd Control Freak created a remote control that zaps him and the Titans into the world of the television set and a grand chase with tv based hijinks ensue), “The Quest” (To defeat a martial artist thief when apparently his skills, those he learned from the Batman himself, aren’t enough, Robin travels to seek a True Master who can help with that), “Troq” (the Titans aid an alien warrior on a mission to stop a conquering robotic army…but he might have some views about Starfire that are…not very flattering at all), “Snowblind” (The debut of misunderstood hero with a great power and a greater heart of gold, Red Star, in the comics the ORIGINAL Starfire), “Lightspeed” (the debut of Kid Flash), “Revved Up” (the appearance of Silver Age Titan villain Ding Dong Daddy in a loving homage to Wacky Races), The Terra Storyline aka the Judas Contract, and Raven’s arc in Season 4 aka the Terror of Trigon

Dream snorted softly.

Del I owe a very, very big debt indeed and I know she'll be wanting to collect on it. She may have collected on it when I didn't remember anything but that's the weird part. I know she was there. I know Hob was there. The memories of that time in the apartment before she broke through the memory blocks are.....still a little fuzzy.

She grimaced.

But you-and she poked him in the chest for a moment-owe me nothing.

Her brother nodded.

For a moment there was a peaceful silence between them and then she went over to the balcony and let her eyes close as the heat of the Sun in the Dreaming beat on her face, humming contentedly. It was a peaceful moment of a kind she hadn't had in a very long time. In the hospital, especially before she'd had her broken leg healed (and then her legs weakened all over again, making a theme she wasn't entirely fond of in the raw) this had been one thing that brought her peace. Forces, vast and terrible, could shred everything about her sense of self but there were things nothing could take.

Her brother saw her, though she didn't see him looking at her, looking out with her eyes opening again, a soft hum of pleasure echoing from her, and then she turned to look at him.
