Dane Law & Chants - Gurum Triads

Gurum Triads is a transatlantic guitar & drum duet album that explores multiple techniques (none of which involve playing guitar). London musician Dane Law uses a Max/MSP contraption of his own invention, which allows him to improvise in real time using samples of his acoustic guitar. Wisconsin-based producer/drummer Chants contributed cassette tapes of his drums & percussion to this process, and then took the resulting recordings and added additional layers of live drumming and self-sampled beats. The focus was never on the process itself but on the feeling and interplay of tactile textures, and on memories of shared post-rock touchstones. Recorded between January 2022 - February 2023. i LOVE how much you can see edgeworth's influence on klavier. klavier talks about finding the truth the way he does. klavier helps find the truth and doesnt look to win like he does. klavier doesnt treat defense attorneys like the enemy like he does. edgeworth took the long way, learning for himself what being a good prosecutor means and how the court should work then ensured the next generation didnt have to.

Podfic #2 for the Caught On Tape Carry On Podfest! This is The Sound of Silence by aralias! This one's also for Teen and Up Audiences, with Ch1 around 28 mins and Ch2 around 21 mins! This fic is another one of my old favorites, and it was so much fun editing it all up!

Once again I need to seriously thank the mods for this fest! They've all been SO supportive and kind and made me feel so much closer to a fandom I've cherished so much for the past two years but was always too scared to be more than a lurker in! I was so worried about learning to make podfics and exposing my voice to internet strangers, and yet the reception I got for my first podfic was completely mind-blowing and heart-melting, and I'm so grateful to all the amazing people in this fandom! This would not have been possible without all of them, but the mods super duper especially!!

I've got one last fic on the way that I'm gonna have to really go crunch time on, but for now enjoy listening to The Sound of Silence by aralias!

I Learned To Live Half Alive - Christine 'Ziggy' Berman/Martin P. Franklin

A/N: Day 26 Part 3 for @augustofwhump

The tape is sitting on the table when Martin finds Ziggy, the woman’s body shaking already as he moves closer, letting her fall into his arms, his voice low and soft. “Do you want to watch it?” It's the last tape Cindy ever made, a message for Ziggy, it seems. Ziggy shudders even as she nods against his shoulder. He’s quiet as he settles, watching her put the tape into the player and pulling her down softly into his lap, watching the tape with her even as he skates soft fingers over her back, then into her hair, stroking through silk strands of coppery-brown hair, she’s shaking even as the message plays, then, when the message clicks off, she sobs, turning into his neck. He turns the tape off, pulling Ziggy closer and holding her tenderly as she cries the tears she’s needed to let go of for hours. She’s trembling even as he reaches for a blanket, wrapping her closer in the blanket, his lips pressed to her hairline. “It’s okay Ziggy, it’s okay, let it out.” Later, after she cries herself to sleep, he carries her to the bedroom, setting her down gently and holding her closer once he’s settled, smiling at the peaceful way she settles against him, curled close and safe in his arms.

You're lucky no lasting damage was done, because I can't afford new electronics until pay day. You mess up those navigational computers, and the temporary fix is going to be rear-view mirrors duct taped to the sides of the ship.
