I reread this recently, and it's one of the most unusual, sweetest Jonsa Modern AUs out there. Set in a strangely unreal time that feels more 1950s than modern era, but never really explicit about it, just a world of typewriters and letters and good manners, where hats may be expected and pants on girls may not. Kind of hazy and dreamlike. It's all feeling.

Summary: “I'll ring the doorbell, apologize for not calling, kiss her cheek, ask if I could come in, excuse myself if she has company.” That's what he has been chanting over and over in his head since waking up that morning. Perfectly logical, expected, well-mannered behaviour.

He didn't count on Sansa gasping upon seeing him, throwing her hands around his neck and hugging him as tightly as to hurt. It threw him completely off, made color rise high in his cheeks and worst of all – made him stutter his words. He barely made any sense explaining when he'd arrived, why he hadn't called, how nice it was to see her.

If you're in the mood for something calm, sweet, heartfelt and life-affirming, this might be for you.

Ned x Cat!!!

I have so many feels for Ned x Cat. I love them so, so much. Theirs is a beautiful love story because it wasn’t fate or instant attraction, they fell slowly in love with each other. A relationship built on trust, respect and devotion. The healthiest relationship on ASOIAF/GOT BY FAR. That doesn’t mean that they don’t have their issues, and pretty damn big at that. But they get through it. It’s just so beautiful. And how Cat feels after Ned’s death still breaks my heart. The last time I reread her chapters in ACOK and ASOS I bawled like a baby. The perfect sweet and tragic love story.

Today’s reading.... વિશ્વાસ... સાગર પોતાને જરૂર આવકારશે એવા વિશ્વાસે તો નદી પોતાનું ઊંચું સ્થાન ગુમાવીનેય દોડતી રહે છે. સાસરે પિયર કરતાં વધારે નહીં તો અડધો પ્રેમ તો મળશે જ એવા વિશ્વાસે એક કન્યા પિયરનો ઉંબરો છોડીને આગળ ડગલાં ભરવાની હિંમત કરે છે. પોતાના બાળકોને શિક્ષકો જરૂર ભણાવશે એવા વિશ્વાસે માબાપ બાળક ની લાખ અનિચ્છા છતાંય નિશાળે ધકેલે છે. નિશાળ પરનો આવો વિશ્વાસ ડગી જાય ત્યારે નાછૂટકે વાલીઓ ટ્યૂશન ક્લાસ ને શરણે જાય છે. વિશ્વાસની આવી અછત અનેક ક્ષેત્રોમાં નજરે પડે છે. 'અછત' શબ્દ ધનવાનોને શબ્દકોશમાં હોતો જ નથી. ગરીબોના ઘરમાં તો છતની નીચે પણ અછત જ મહાલતી હોય છે.  આ દુનિયામાં દાણચોરી પણ વિશ્વાસ વગર ચાલતી નથી. બે પ્રધાનો કરતાં દાણચોરો વચ્ચે વિશ્વાસનું તત્વ વધારે હોય છે. દેશના ખૂણે ખૂણે આંગડિયા ઘૂમી વળે છે. માત્ર વિશ્વાસ પાર ચાલતી આવી બીજી સંસ્થા જડવી મુશ્કેલ છે.  આજના જમાનામાં માણસ માણસ વચ્ચેના વિશ્વાસને આસ્તિકતા ગણવી જોઈએ. આસ્તિકતા આખરે શું છે? ભગવાન માટેનો વિશ્વાસ કે બીજું કંઈ? ભગવાનનના બાળક જેવા પ્રત્યક્ષ માણસમાં જેને વિશ્વાસ ન હોય તેને અપ્રત્યક્ષ એવા ભગવાનમાં વિશ્વાસ હોય એ કેવી રીતે બને?  ક્યારેક લાગે છે કે આ પૃથ્વી ધરી વગર ફરે છે. ભૂગોળમાં ભણાવવામાં આવે છે કે જે ધરી છે તે કલ્પિત છે. એમ કહેવાનું મન થાય છે કે આ પૃથ્વી ફરતી રહે છે તેનો યશ વિશ્વાસની ધરીને જાય છે. આવતી કાલે સૂર્યોદય થવાનો છે એવા વિશ્વાસને કારણે જ સૂર્યાસ્ત સમયે કોઈ કલ્પાંત કરતું નથી. ~ ગુણવંત શાહ  #ad #ameedarji #PositiveChange #TodaysReading #Reading #GunwantShah #Happiness #Positivity #Peace #Learning #Trust #TrustEachOther #TrustGod (at City Gold Syamal Cross Raod)

This love has taught me so much about loyalty and trust. Before this, I didn't trust myself, let alone anyone else. I've always given a lot in relationships, up to a point. People could come in, enjoy the view and all the stuff, but I'd be holding the door open for them, ready for when they wanted to leave.
