Another bit of weird trivia, but what do you think is going on with Widsith's age in his titular poem? When he gives his performance before his queen Ealhilde, he cites the kings Ermanaric, Atilla, Sigar, Gebicca and his son Gundahar, who are all held in legendary history, at least, to have ruled around the mid-400s AD and interacted with one another. He then also cites kings Hrothgar and his nephew Hrolf Kraki, Offa, Brecca, Angantyr/Egil Vendelcrow, Finn, and Hnaef, known to have operated around early to mid 500s. Finally he cites the Lombardic Alboin, who ruled during the late 500s. (He also cites Wade and Kaleva, but these dudes are semi-divine giants who know magic, so trying to date them as anything other than very ancient is moot.) In addition, he claims to have personally met Ermanaric, Gundahar, and Alboin, and even flaunts the gifts the latter two gave him. Taking him at his word, he would be at least 130 or so years of age. So in-universe, are we meant to read him as exaggerating? Or does he just have a lengthened lifespan like mythological people tend to have? As just from Norse mythology we also have Orvar-Odd, Starkad, Norna-Gest, and even Ermanaric himself. Or is it just people writing mythology without a sense of time?

I have to say, in cases like this, I generally just assume a mix of the poet wanting to show off their knowledge of all things mythical, historical, and legendary/ancient audiences loving a good crossover (whether in a fight or in a team-up context) and also a good long list of things/composition dealing with legendary and mythical figures often being not as concerned with strict timelines as a modern audience would expect and having an almost "dream-like" (tho maybe that's not quite the right word) sense of temporal and geographical scale. But yeah... taking it all at face value and looking for an in-universe explanation, our guy would need to have at the very least some sort of "back in the day we had proper heroes and they had heroic lifespans" thing going on, lol. Which I think would be an interesting take, anyway. Could be fuel for a pretty crazy retelling of various Germanic/Norse stories... acknowledging the weird timeline or not. I feel this might be a good moment to say I grew up loving Xena and its tangled "yesterday we met Helen of Troy, today we're facing off against Caesar" shenanigans...

By the way, I had COMPLETELY forgotten Kaleva, of all people, was mentioned in Widsith. Possibly because I mainly know about Finnish mythology through the Kalevala. The idea of a unverse where Norse and continental Germanic heroes and kings might possibly meet Finnish primordial giants and bad-tempered singing wizards is... certainly something.

Cats - I personally see 3 as a cat and 4 as a dog, but I thought the imagery of them cuddling as cats was cute, and I love seeing people draw themself and there friends as little animals for this trend, so I had to :3

Stars - I love star imagery and think about them relating to the galaxy along with there meme powers ✨

Coffee - of course this is mostly a reference to 3s coffee shop, but I just like to imagine them sharing coffee together. Also having blue inside the purple cup makes me imagine how, while 3 is saying "no" to 4s question of friendship, it shows his deep connection to him and internal want to protect him, knowing what the two has been through 💙💜

Berries - I love when people make jokes about 4 being blueberry and 3 being blackberry, so I thought I'd include this! Also these fruits are yummy and I've never drawn them before. I just had a lot of fun with it XD

Eggdog and Beeg - THE KIDDOS!! Of course I had to include their children. They are so cute and such good friend ANSJXJDND any opportunity I have to draw Eggdog and Beeg I will take it. I love my sons 🥚🔵

USBs - I love how their USBs complement eachother, and I think it's a strong symbol of their connection

Their hats - of course, their hats are one of the most recognizable symbols they have, and I love how they complement eachother as well. I don't often draw 3 and 4 in their hats, but I still love them anyway 💜💙

DO NOT STEAL FICS!

Do you respond to comments? Why/Why not? I actually try to respond to all my comments! I really enjoy all of them and I want them to know! (Yes, even the person who insists on leaving over 2000 hearts on every chapter) For certain fics, *cough* Rebirth *cough*, I also just enjoy torturing some of them by not actually answering their questions.

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? None of my completed fics really have angsty endings, I guess. Once I finish Now We're Stuck Here to Decay or How to Fowl A Bat, maybe? But even then, both of those fic are suppose to get more solemn but hopeful endings than just a straight angsty one. I just like hopeful endings I guess.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I can firmly say a fic that I finished for the recent DPxDC WIP Swap, which is What Once Was Lost Must Now Be Found. Eldritch homeless boy Danny gets himself a family in the Bats. ^-^

Do you get hate on fics? Not hate, really. Some unnecessary criticism, sure, but not what I'd call hate.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I haven't actually really written smut. I mean I did roleplays with ocs before, but never like straight written it soooo. Yeah.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one? I do write crossovers! Exclusively crossovers. XD I'd have to say Formula For a Crime Scene, which a three-way crossover with Danny Phantom, DC (Specifially BatFam), and Artemis Fowl.

Have you ever had a fic translated? I have not had one translated, no. I would not be opposed to it however, as long as I was asked and somehow tagged in it.

Have you ever co-written a fic? Yes, I have done multiple actually! All mine actually come from events. Weltschmerz is a fic I am actively co-writing as a results of Patrol Partners with @spite-sapphic-starlight, @gremlin-bot, and @half-dead-ham. Ham and Gremlin are my partners and Kate is the... stubborn QPP that got us together. XD What Once Was Lost, which I mentioned earlier, is from a WIP Swap. Gunebug started that fic, and I finished it. And then Of Clones and Time Bullshittery is a fic I started for the same WIP Swap, but Itallcomesbacktoandriel finished! I frankly adore how Andriel finished it too. ^-^

What's your all-time favorite ship? Ooh. That's a tough one. I'd have to say either Artemis FowlxTim Drake or Dead!Tired, which is Tim x Danny Fenton.

What's a WIP you want to finish but you doubt you will? So. I haven't actually posted this fic. I started in like the middle. But its a Danny Phantom, BatFam, and Scooby Doo crossover fic that I've called Danny Phantom & Batman in: The Mystery of the Mystery Kids. I'd be okay talking more about it in a separate post if people are interested.

What are your writing strengths? You see. I asked my friends about this because I don't usually get specifics, just get told I'm a good writer. Gremlin's exact quote when I asked was "I don't know I just like it." I did get complimented quite a bit on my charactizations of Artemis Fowl, so I'll take that win.

Writing weaknesses? I've been told I can make dialogue drag. Someone actually told me this in a comment telling me I should go back in fic despite me tagging the fic as "No Beta We Die Like Jason Todd".

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language? I don't think I've done it before, but once I'm further in my duolingo lessons, I'd love to incorporate Spanish or Japanese. Especially since I adore the Hispanic!Jason Todd headcanons.

First fandom you wrote for? It's technically two cause my first ever fic was a crossover with BatFam and Artemis Fowl.

After posting this, I thought I'd give ya'll a prologue of what's coming.

Many moons ago, our lands used to be one of unity. No matter where anyone went, how different each land was that they travelled to, it always felt like home.

There was the Archipelago; a home to all of dragon kind, the Mushroom Kingdom; a place that would like up the sourest person’s soul, Etheria; where princesses of the most powerful abilities resided, Green Hills; the most peculiar yet still exciting, The Boiling Isles; where magic was born, and the Darklands; though imitating, was welcome to anyone no matter what differences they had. 

Then there was Halfmoon, realm to the Magicats. It was once a peaceful society, ruled by King Zemi and Queen Jade, with a connection to the moon and stars above, the powers that were gifted to them helped bring balance to each realm.

Once every year, every leader from each kingdom would come forward for the annual ‘Solar Festival’. Hosted by the rulers of Halfmoon, the sovereigns from each faction would pledge another year of peace while the kingdoms would unite and celebrate.

It was even said that the Halfmoon leaders had formed the infamous group known as ‘The Nine’, where it consisted of them and seven other members from the other nations. It was never specified to anyone who these others were and which empire they all came from, all that anyone knew was that they were brought together by the Magicat rulers and had maintained the strongest bonds while protecting the realms.

However, those bonds unfortunately couldn’t last any longer. It was after another magnificent ‘Solar Festival’, when the realm leaders had caught wind of a new threat with untold dangers waiting to strike at any moment. What they had gathered was that her name was Shadow Weaver, a mad witch with her mind set on bringing back the treacherous King Boo, a ruthless undead monster that had was plagued the realms millennial ago until he was finally sealed away by the ancestors way back when, and now Shadow Weaver wanted to bring him back.

King Zemi and Queen Jade had made up a to infiltrate Shadow Weaver’s base with their army and cease any experimentation that she had concocted so far to reawaken the ghostly king. Yet the night before they would’ve left, Halfmoon was suddenly ambushed by followers that Shadow Weaver had managed to summon and convinced them to attack the Magicat kingdom. By the time the other rulers arrived, everything and everyone was gone, with King Zemi and Queen Jade dead in each other’s arms. The sole survivor was their only infant daughter Cyra, who they had managed to hide during Shadow Weaver’s attack with the last of their magic.

The situation only got worse when it was revealed that the late monarchs were apparently sold out about their mission, by someone close to them no doubt. The country was then split into two, the North Side believing that believing that it was King Bowser who had let out the information about the king and queen, while the South Side had believed that it was a member from the North and that Chief Hiccup was preventing them from receiving proper justice. Ever since then, a civil war had broken out between the two sides, neither one of them backing down until they avenged the fallen monarchs.

To honour the lost king and queen, Chief Hiccup and his wife took in Zemi and Jade’s daughter, raising her as their own.

Years had passed and the battle continues, some still cling to hope that one day, the skies will clear, and all will be set right. Others however, had already given up at the prospect of peace and believe that only more tyranny will come. Little do they know that soon, everything is going to change…

Okay, so it's officially been a year since I started playing, and I was wondering if I wanted to do something for it...or even if I could do something, but I eventually came up with the idea to go over my squad in order of first acquiring them, all the way to the present

(I swear to Terra, if I get something notable from free pulls before this comes up, I'm gonna explode)

...So uh, I wanted to have Mudrock and Surtr in the same picture, but they were too far apart for that, so screw it, I'm going with two pictures at once here! Anyways, in case you didn't know, I got into this game because of Mudrock and waited until she was rate-up before rerolling, and this is basically what I ended up with. Crazy thing, I actually got her twice in the same 10 roll, so I got to enjoy her with -1 DP cost immediately! And then when I went to pull more in hopes of getting Surtr (who was the shoperator at the time) I immediately got her from a single headhunting ticket! Amazing!! And yeah, that's why I wanted them in the same picture together.

Anyways, you can also see Angelina and Bagpipe there. Angelina was from the Newbie pool, and like Mudrock I also got two of her. But...meh, I didn't really feel like building her up too much. I did e1 her, but honestly, if I got her much later on, she'd probably be sitting in e0 Purgatory. Bagpipe, on the other hand, was the first 6* I got from a Top Operator tag, and that was a heck of a lucksack! I actually got her twice total from recruits, and then another pot from the CC shop. Two more pots and she'll be epic!

so uh, anyone else in those two screenshots...Oh, Utage? I got her that early?? Dang, never realized she was with me for as long as Mudrock XD. Also Myrtle is also e2, but I think pretty much everyone has e2d her, if only for access to e2 supports. Perfumer and Cuora were much later e2s, sometime after Il Siracusano, I think? Oh yeah, I guess Indra is a bit notable in how she's a recruit-exclusive 5*, but that's it.

Hmm, a bit less things of note here. Lumen was very recently promoted to e2, although I did neglect to get his potentials since I was a bit preoccupied with getting Mudrock to e2. At least his event should rerun real soon. Meteor, Cliffheart, Courier, and Ethan I promoted to e1 since I've seen guides use them pretty often. Gavial I kinda quickly fell in love with after her Alter came out, so that was definitely a waifu e2 there! Saria tho, oh boy. She's so freaking awesome! Definitely one of my best recruit lucksacks!

Now, I think it was around this time where CC#9 started. I had Surtr that I've seen Risk 18 strats for, and I've seen strats that used Horn, so I basically fused those two strats together so I could use easier risks overall.

...Ah, funny that the three e2s on this image are those three. Anyways, Exusiai was, yet again, another recruit lucksack, and she does so much damage! Well, so long as the enemies don't have too much defense, but there's ways to make up for that. Texas was from the pinboard missions, nothing unusual there. Lappland was from the 5* selector new players get, and I got her because man, having her earlier would've made SN so much less painful...but also, just having her in general is nice. Also, Elysium I got as my guarantee 5* when pulling on a banner that had him, so that was pretty sweet.

Hoo boy, here we go. Imma be real, when I first saw Sideroca, my mind instantly went "I have to get her" and, well, she's the welfare operator from the W event, so of course I did. Also, you might think it's funny that Gavialter and Blaze are right next to each other. Well, I rolled a bit on the banner in hopes of getting Chalter (Not that hard tho, since the odds weren't exactly in my favor) and I ended up getting Gavialter. As for Blaze...shoperator. Even after rolling Gavialter. XD. I just think she's cute! Also, Click was promoted because the event made me realize how weak my caster game was at the time, so I thought I'd e2 her as a sort of budget option. Wasn't really ready to promote Amiya at the time, so this had to be an acceptable compromise.

(If you're wondering why I didn't mention Amiya before...did I really need to? Everyone has to promote her in order to complete chapter 8. That's just how it is.)

Oh right, around this time was when the first Trials for Navigator event started. I...can't quite recall if I did Ultimate TN-4, but I'm pretty sure I got all the rewards at least, so there's that.

Oh, and there's also CC#10. I...barely remember what I did, and past me didn't exactly do a good job of actually posting the clear screen of risk 18. Man, they really dropped the ball on that. I definitely baited the cannon with Mudrock tho, no way am I gonna forget her pivotal role there!

OKAY, I'M LOOKING OVER MY SCREEN AND THE SCREENSHOTS I TOOK AND I COMPLETELY MISSED BLUE POISON! Ugh, she deserves better than to be skipped over, though to be fair, I was trying to focus on getting all my 6*s screenshotted at least, but anyways, she's e2 as well.

Anyways, Jaye there is e2, my first male e2 actually, and Ptilopsis I actually got from the 5* selector we got last anniversary (I think I'm gonna go for Warfarin with the next one btw, not like I can lucksack her in headhunting outside of kernal) and she's been very helpful! Astgenne, the welfare from the seemingly mythical Dorothy event, was so cute I couldn't not e2 her! Pinecone I e2'd cuz I was coping about not having Chalter, and Hibiscus Alter I e2'd cuz purple hair is too good! As for Fartooth...I considered building her, heck I even promoted her to e1, but I just have too many other operators that I would rather build.

Hoo boy, this. This is undoubtedly the start of where my power skyrocketed! Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way, I originally wasn't gonna go for Mlynar, but I decided that I might as well go until a 6* (though my track record tends to go otherwise if I don't get a good result) and I thankfully got him, and oh boy has he been integral in a lot of my hard clears! Nightingale...right, I got her and Fartooth from the standard banner with Saga and Mountain cuz those were both 6*s I had an interest in. Well, unlike Fartooth, I actually built her (though it was long after pulling her) and she's been pretty helpful keeping my team alive through heavy arts damage. Also Proviso I promoted to e2 and it had nothing to do with her base skill and everything to do with how cute she is XD. Whislash I was absolutely dying to get so you bet your bottom dollar I e2'd her almost immediately! Ifrit I got from yellow cert shop, and she's been pretty helpful when I can make good use of her. Chen I just happened to get with a Top Op + Nuker combo cuz why not? Didn't like my other options at the time much. Mostima, unfortunately, was a Top Op recruit that I didn't want cuz I wanted Ceobe, but oh well.

Anyways, if Mlynar wasn't enough, how about the time I pulled FREAKING SKALTER WHILE BREAKING PITY AFTER SPARK? Like, she would've been my spark if I had lucksacked Nearl Alter, so that's basically the same exact event in my mind. Anyways, aside from her, I didn't get any off-rates in that banner, so I was left with 2 Penance and 4 Texas Alters from that banner. Ceobe, as I mentioned, was a huge want for me, so I of course got her from the yellow cert shop, and then Horn was from the 6* selector at that time, and she's also been super helpful for me since then. Especially for IS#3, dear lord is she good against the first endboss there.

Right, this is around when CC#11 started. Risk 18 was absurdly easy that I didn't even need a guide for that (though my huge spike in power was also a factor.) I did push for higher risk though, and ended up with risk 25.

Almost getting towards the end here. Mizuki was a spook from the Gnosis banner (I primarily wanted Aurora) and, while he may not be the best 6* I could've got, I still wanna e2 him real soon. Kal'tsit was from yellow cert shop (which was during that absolutely horrific time period of Yostar forgetting Saga exists) and Magallan was just a random Top Op roll. Not building her, too small brain to use her well. Mountain was from the gamma headhunting ticket, and he was the one I wanted the least, but I still wanted him...even if my post at the time didn't look like I did I am an unappreciative jerk but anyways, it turned out to be for the better that I got him over Pozyomka. Lin was an absolute lucksack from free rolls on the banner, and I actually went out of my way to e2 her during the event! Lava Alter I e2'd cuz again, purple hair. Then there's Eyja, who was another yellow cert grab. Do I need to say anything about her? She's been the top Caster in the game since Day 1, with only Goldenglow being a possible threat to that title! (though for top caster in my heart, that title belongs to Ceobe XD)

I think both Trials for Navigator 2 and CC#12 were well after this, but the later operators I got weren't that important for that, so I'll just go over them here. Except...I barely remember what I did for TN#2. I just know that I did the Ultimate trial, so there's that. CC#12 though, my memory's a bit more clear on that. I did some strategizing for a few risks above 18, then changed them a bit to get even higher, all the way up to 26, exceeding CC#11 by a single risk! I honestly feel proud about that!

And now we have reached the present day. Rosa and Pozy both spooked me during the Yato Alter banner, the latter of which I built up quickly. And oh boy, is she super powerful! Even in the current event, she's been integral in dealing with the boss super quickly in my auto deploy setup! But Rosa sadly will take a backseat while I wait for Typhon, because believe you me, there's no timeline where I don't get her! Yato of course I had to hit the hard pity for, but she's been working very well for me. Weedy was another random top op. She was supposedly good for CC#12, but that didn't really convince me to build her sadly. Saga I have waited TOO FREAKING LONG for her to be in the yellow cert shop. And of course, Goldenglow I got with the 6* selector from the store as of now! Oh, also I got FEater to e1 max cuz she's super cute and I hope to e2 her some day.

Aaaaaand that's it. Man, it took a while to get this done that I actually wrote this in a few sessions cuz my attention span is...not great. But at least I got it done in time!

"Imagine Your Self Insert was Canon" Asks!

📝: How would your story in canon go? How would you influence the events of the original story?

I've always believed that Bull Armor had been working at the Leaguer Hospital for a long time prior to the start of the series. A few years, at the least. I've always thought we met there, as coworkers, where I was oblivious to his infamy because of my total ignorance of American Football.

I left that job probably a year (or maybe two) before the events of Shippu! Iron Leaguer.

Then, I think we would run into each other again after the events of the main series-- post Silver Castle winning the world championship. Our story would basically, uh, delete the post-series OVA entirely and supplant it! XD

If we really did get a new post-series continuation of some sort, I would genuinely hope it wasn't just about me and Bully. I'd love more from the whole main cast and the Stray Leaguers as well! We'd get to see how the world changes for everyone in an Iron League without violence. (And, what changes for Silver Castle after winning such fame...?)

So, I call and tag it "Buruburi" based on how our names would be pronounced in Japanese and mashing them together. But this isn't the typical naming convention at all in this fandom! The fandom would probably just call it BullBridge or BridgeArmor.

❤️: How popular is you x Bull Armor? Are you a rarepair?

I would think it would be something people either love or are annoyed by!

Bull Armor in general is not popular in the shipping scene. MagBull and Jet Setter/Bull Armor seem to be the most popular ships in the Japanese fandom, though neither is really popular by any means. In the western fandom, BullJoy is easily the most popular Bully ship, and I love it! It's personally my favorite Bully ship, tied with my own selfship. But Bull and I have a similar dynamic to BullJoy (with some obvious differences), so whatever makes BullJoy not show up on the radar to Japanese fans might still be present for us!

I think the popularity of our ship would mostly come down to if people like our writing and dynamic! If you're not into human/robot, big size differences, fluffy romances where people help each other grow from their own baggage, then we simply won't appeal to some folks! But if I was in the show, I'd like to think we wouldn't be a total rare pair!

Day Three

I don't know a ton about this one besides what the tags say (brand is Nanaco) but I wanted to share since this one is special because it was a gift from an old coworker. They gave me this when I was leaving and it was such a pleasant surprise because I so rarely receive gifts, and never from someone I'm not dating (or related to if it's Yule/Xmas) so that makes this extra extra special because this person thought of me and was sad that I was leaving that workplace.

Day Four

Over the years I have rebought a few plushiesI had as a kid that I especially loved (if I could figure out what they were). This is the most recent plush like that. The one I had as a kid was named Russ, he was initially a gift for my mother when she left the job she had when I was 6 or so, she was the one who named him Russ, but I took him and I used to take him to bed every night (I was really tiny so I used to have lots of plushies in my bed with me), mine was also pretty compressed and I'd lost the ribbon because I loved him so much. Russ is actually the brand and the design is named Ellington. I think I'm going to pick out a new name though, and they sit with bed gang on my bed.

Day Five

Another bonus because I wanted to share these two together. These are my two Moncchichis. The one on the left in the blue and white dress is more modern, whereas the one on the right is an earlier Moncchichi from the 80s (not the original 1974 run). I watched an episode of the show one morning as a kid (don't know why I remember that morning so well) and was always curious about them, a few years ago I found out more about them and got these two, they're very cute. I also watched the show a couple years ago and loved it, I'd recommend it to people who are a fan of the original My Little Pony show.

Day Six

Lastly for these catch-up posts is another that I bought again that I had as a kid. These were called Snoozems and were made in 1996, I got one for Xmas, it looked exactly like this one (they also used to be one I took to bed with me). I can't remember exactly what I named them back then but I've named this one Barnaby, Barney for short. They need a couple of repairs but it's nothing I wouldn't be able to manage, I just haven't gotten to it because I've not had the chance so far.

Gaspar’s Diary Entry 6 - Choros and Monsters

It has been about two years since I started on exposition for a huge WIP thing I am doing, and about one year since I gave it the name of Wildchalice. It has never truly left my mind, but for a while I have not been able to write anything. Gaspar's Diary had run dry at the time, and I also wasn't writing anything else. (in fact Gaspar's Diary is also an excuse not to write any of the actual stories XD)

But the ball got rolling again, and so this entry is about the world of Choros, its monsters, and how the world deals with it. This has been somewhat touched upon in other entries already, especially in the context of Croica, the country where this all takes place. The previous entries are The House of Darkwin, The Contra Creature Corps, Fiend Engineering, The House of Mavros, and The Thessans. The first three are especially important I'd say?... I am starting to wonder if I should just link to the tag for Gaspar's Diary because the entries are getting a little long to list.

In addition, a glimpse of what could actually be a story is in the works. But while that is stewing in my brain and until it releases, here's some information on the world's threats, and what humanity has done with it.

Choros and Monsters

Darius has plans to visit Shandon to check on its C3 division, and has told me and Laura to come with. Both of us jumped at the opportunity to travel well beyond Ariocester and Glenstead. I think Laura would be able to travel anyways, as her mother is Secretary of Defense and her grandfather a decorated retired general, but I don’t have as many opportunities. Until the time comes though, I help prepare for departure during the day and return to the diary this evening. It’s hard not to think of our security, given it could use improvement and is also what Darius’ work most commonly concerns. Today though, this subject just would not leave my thoughts at all.

When I was five years old, I still thought that us Croicans could be completely safe. Of course, this was before I learned that nature and creatures can spontaneously come into existence through rifts. It is almost certain the Extrareality is related to this, as it’s believed to be a realm of infinite possibility. And indeed, just about anything is possible in regards to the monsters: The size, shape and capabilities can wildly vary. Sometimes the new monsters appear as a group or species, but other times they seem to be solitary and one-of-a-kind. Some scholars actually theorize that given thousands of years, evolution will occur and lifeforms will have greatly adapted. So far it remains a theory, as I can’t imagine most other creatures adapting to such a vast, unpredictable array of possibilities very well. It’s a miracle humans and similar beings like Thessans have managed to!

Depending on who you ask, we either band together because we’re social creatures or because of our individual weakness compared to what can come out of a rift. I’d say it’s a bit of both. It helps that we generally do not fight each other, with exceptions. Over the years, thinkers have even turned this wisdom into a principle: Any civilization that does want to wage war has to be prepared to fight on more fronts than expected. They may have to fight monsters that might not even have existed before, be it on the battlefield or near their own cities. An example often given in history is the short-lived Norban civilization in what is now Sastrales. Norba aspired to be an empire until a pack of Karmids appeared right on top of the imperial supply chain, cutting off the army from the doomed capital. This principle has been coined Monster-Based Equilibrium or MBE, because the eternal monster threat has been fairly effective at discouraging war. Small favors, I suppose.

In stark contrast with Norba in the past (and arguably Croica today), the Souzaki empire never forgets what world it lives in. Even though the people of Souzaki and those of the outside world rarely meet, the prosperity and relative safety of the empire are fairly well known. I say the people of Souzaki don’t venture into the rest of Choros, but in order to keep up with the world’s ever-changing nature, Souzaki scholars do travel far and wide. These Codifiers record information about Choros’ monsters at any place and any time. Their information is from time to time borrowed by Croica and other countries, at least if they don’t have similar projects going.

Probably the most well-known result of the Codifiers’ mission is the Hierarchy of Danger, though it isn’t one of their codexes. One of the Codifiers settled down in Labrua with a Labruan woman and had a son, Ralf Toreru, who took after his father quickly. Doctor Toreru quickly delved into his father’s work, although he started to notice a common omission in the Codifier’s approach: They would describe creatures and what they were capable of, but would be roundabout about the concrete danger a creature would pose. Would it be a risk? Or a certain disaster? In particular, creatures were never simply compared to each other. Doctor Toreru continued his labor at Anderlecht University, where it caught on to the point of becoming a group effort from the scientific world. This was a great help to him, as there was no way he could classify every monster, especially those not in his father’s codex. Honestly, if I didn’t already see the value of the Hierarchy of Danger I am sure Darius would have gladly enlightened me further. It is exceedingly relevant to his usual work after all, and he greatly respects Doctor Toreru.

The Hierarchy of Danger is a classification system used to assign threat levels to each monster. According to the classification, plans and decisions can then be made. The lowest of these is Ordinary Class. This is where harmless creatures like dogs and cats would go. Some more imposing creatures like bears used to be in the next lowest class, until the system had enough creatures classified to put a bear’s strength into perspective. This next class would be Concern Class. It is labeled such because creatures of this classification are dangerous to regular citizens and therefore a concern. That said, guns, magic or some other capability are more than enough to address Concern Class.

Creatures of Risk Class or above are what the Hierarchy of Danger is made for. It is agreed upon that creatures of this classification require military force to deal with, as all of them possess some manner of power that humans usually don’t. Risk Class also marks the point where creatures get bigger, usually ranging from about as big as us to the size of a house. Still, even our regular army is able to deal with these creatures, although the C3 is still preferred. Threat Class is a different story: It is the commonly agreed cutoff point for what mundane armies can be reasonably expected to fight. Creatures get even bigger, stronger and more versatile. Therefore, the C3 is always called in to combat Threat Class.

Unfortunately, humans can’t fight everything on Choros. The final classification, Disaster Class, is for giant monsters that are an uphill battle to fight at best. Lots of lives will be lost if this is ever attempted, and there’s no guarantee of success. Doctor Toreru’s own recommendation in the event of conflict with a Disaster Class creature is to evacuate all citizens, and this recommendation has been adopted by Secretary Hughes and the C3. It might be possible to fight Disaster Class with monsters of our own, but the Hierarchy of Danger does not assume that to be a possibility, and we don’t have much access to benevolent monsters to begin with. On top of these five classifications there’s also the group designation, where creatures are marked with one or more Gs. This denotes the possibility of creatures appearing in groups and becoming more threatening once they do. For example, Thessans are marked as Concern[GG], most likely meaning that fighting a group or an entire city-state is a very dangerous endeavor. I don’t like to think about this. Scholars say that all lifeforms must be classified for completion’s sake, but classifying beings like us alongside aggressive monsters feels wrong to me, especially when they are as friendly as the Thessans.

Now that I have put this all to paper, I feel my mind racing less and less. It should be much easier to fall asleep now, which is welcome since we depart for Shandon in a few days.

In addition to the in-universe use, I also turn to the Hierarchy of Danger for basic scaling, so that I can start having a better idea of what characters can deal with what monsters, because that's something I actually kinda struggle with.

As per usual, details may or may not change. I think the Hierarchy of Danger itself is pretty solid, but not what creature falls where inside the system.

Speaking of which, I will reiterate: You might wonder if I'll ever elaborate on a bunch of creatures. I don't think Gaspar's Diary is the place, and an outright bestiary is probably something I'll keep to myself for my own benefit.

With that done, I no longer have any idea on what Gaspar's Diary will cover next, if anything. However, expect a random teaser from Shandon sometime in the future!

Esme stuck close to my side ever since we met,though i didn't mind one bit.After years of solitude i had finally met my beautiful mate,i was content.

At least...i should be..

No matter what i did i still felt this empty hole in my chest,and though Esme helped to fill it i still felt empty.I felt selfish in a way,i didn't want Esme to feel like she wasn't enough.So i tried to brush it off and continued on living with the cullens.

Easier said then done.

I jumped into attack mode when the sound of glass shattering caught my attention,Esme followed after me as i ran downstairs to the first floor of our cottage,flames about to ignite from deep within.A sigh of relief flew out as i saw that it was only alice,who had merely dropped a vase of flowers she was bringing over,"Is everything alright little one?" I asked,helping her keep steady.

"How..Riley biers..he's still alive...and he's coming with a new army of newborns." She muttered. Apparently he was bad if Esmes terrified expression was anything to go off of,"Who is this..Riley Biers?"

Esme took Alice's hand,leading her into the living room as i followed.Mentally preparing herself before explaining everything.

"He tried to kill you all? Lost and has the audacity to try and fight you again?Does he have no honor?" Alice nodded before looking to her mother who was currently pacing infront of the fireplace,"when will they be here by?" I asked. "Before sundown tomorrow.In the same field from last time." Alice looked down,trying to recall every detail of her vision.

"What do we do? We can't risk him getting to Renesmee." Esme said as i stood up and pulled her into my arms.Kissing the top of her head i stared deep into her golden eyes,"I won't let them get her,i promise to protect all of you. Because if they want you they'll have to go through me first,and I'll unleash hells wrath on them." I stated cupping her cheeks protectively.

With that settled we called the others for a family meeting and went to the cullens house,quickly filling them in.

"But the Volturi are coming to check on Renesmee tomorrow." Bella stated hugging her daughter close,"We'll have to deal with them after...i should have finished Riley off myself but i didn't realize we never burned his body." Edward stated rubbing his wifes shoulder.

"Theres no use dwelling on that now.But Edwards right,one problem at a time.Riley was a follower,merely the face of the army before,he had no real control.But he's had a while to prepare,we'll be outnumbered." Jasper added,the major peeking out a bit in his tone.

"Yes but you've never had a Hellhound fighting beside you." I said with a smirk,"I've fought worse enemies then a few puny newborns.My fire and strength will deal with them quickly." Esme giggled when i flexed my arm muscle before wrapping one around her shoulders,surrounding her in my warm embrace.

While the others discussed battle tactics she watched my profile,She knew her family would be safe with me around.But she couldn't hide the pinch inside of her,I had been so off,as if there was a chunk of myself that wasn't satisfied.She hoped it was nothing,since i had been alone for so long she assumed i was just getting antsy.She just hoped the battle will satisfy me enough.

Heidi froze suddenly causing the twins to look at her in confusion,"Heidi what is it?" Alec asked seeing her dazed expression. "Don't you smell that? It's calming like lavender and as intoxicating as blood."

Jane sniffed the air,suddenly sharing Heidis expression."I do...where is that coming from..?"

Alec looked between the two with worry and confusion,"What are you guys talking about? I don't smell anything like that at all." Before he could even finish the two were already speeding off deeper into the forest,he huffed before following.

When the three guards finally stopped they realized they had stepped into the middle of a battle,newborns were being torn apart left and right by the cullens,the wolf pack and..a (P/n) on fire?

"Aro never mentioned another newborn army..where did they come from?" Alec asked watching as a newborn was ripped to shreds by one of the wolves.

As the two women watched they realized the person on fire was the source of the intoxicating smell.

They had to get closer.

Standing over Riley Biers i watched as he cowered down at my intimidating appearance,right as i was about to go for the kill the wind picked up.Sniffing the air my pupils dilated.

This familiar scent...where had i smelt it before?

Ahh that's right..the same scent that had flooded my senses when i first met Esme.

Turning around i saw two beautiful women and a confused man watching me,the womens red eyes widened slightly with parted lips.

As if under Zafrina's power their world suddenly changed around them.

Aro sat with his usual melicious grin, an evil glint in his eyes at the presence of the incoming figure.

"Is everything ready?" Aro asked raising a brow.

"Yes Master,training has gone wonderfully,their ready for the real thing." The ravenhaired king clasped his hands together.

"Wonderful,I'm counting on you...Riley."

Said man nodded,"But master,didn't you send the witch twins and Heidi to check on the hybrid?"

Aro tilted his head,clasping his hands together,"I trust that you'll dispose of them for me,If you succeed then you'll be replacing them." He said with a bastardly grin and an echoing chuckle.

That was the last thing they heard as the world returned to the present.

The three glanced at eachother with the same hurt expression,"He truly didn't care? Was he so ready to get rid of us?" Jane growled now glaring at Riley tempted to use her gift.

Heidi crossed her arms,"I should have seen this coming,no wonder he was so eager to send us on this mission..He wanted to kill us." Alec looked down,"He had planned this all along, and we played right into his trap.."

Esme watched them sadly,knowing immediately who they were talking about. But a sudden movement caught her attention,she gasped and yelled to her distracted mate.

"(Y/N)! LOOK OUT!"

Right as i turned back to Riley a newborn had tackled me off,As we rolled and tossled for dominance trying to find a leverage over the other Riley stood up glaring with a smirk at the Volturi guards."I'd say i pity you and apologize, but i really don't care." The three got into a fighting stance but Esme was quick to speed over and push the three behind her,"Stay away from them Riley." She hissed,he chuckled and walked closer"Or what? You're just the weak mother of the cullens right? You can't hurt me." She glanced past him for a moment,before looking at him with a smile.

"You're right,I might not be able to....but i know who can." Right as he went to attack a clawed hand ripped through his chest.The fire burned his marble skin causing him to scream in agony.

I roared as i tore him in half,throwing his upper half away from his lower half.My flames from hell were quick to turn him to ash,the wind blew his ashes away,proving he wasn't going to hurt anyone ever again.

"Are you all alright?" Esme asked quickly running to my side as i fell to my knees,my fire dispersing."I am alright my love,merely overwhelmed with my emotions." I huffed looking over at the two woman behind her.

Jane and Heidis red eyes were enchanting,a small smile rested on their lips,"You two,you are my mates?"

Esmes eyes widened,"What? I..I didn't realize you could have more than one? How is this possible?" I chuckled as she helped me up,"I am a hellhound,i stopped questioning why and how a long time ago." Walking over to them with a wide grin i held out my arms,chuckling when they ran into them.

"This is it Esme,All three of you together is what filled the whole in my heart!" She watched us for a moment before smiling,walking into the hug.

"I always thought I'd be destined to never find my mate,my gift never made anyones feelings for me anything more than lust." Heidi said burying her beautiful face in my neck. Jane rubbed her cheek into my chest,finally relishing in the touch of someone other than her brother.He was the only one to ever hug her.

"I suppose we'll need a bigger cottage now to fit all four of us." Esme said with a smile.

Janes head shot up,"Wait,what about my brother." She turned back to Alec who had a sad smile on his face,"It is alright sister,you have waited so long to find la tua anima gemella(your soulmate).I will be fine."

She looked up at me sadly,With a sigh i nodded,"I wouldn't dream of splitting siblings apart,he may live with us as well." She smiled and nearly toppled me over in a hug,laughing i lifted her and heidi up,esme brought alec over with a motherly smile.

She should feel jealous,but as she watched us,seeing the happy smiles on all of our faces made her realize something.

After years of waiting to finally find her mate,she finally found me,and now we were building a family of our own.

And so long as she was 'alive',nothing was going to tear us apart,she knew I'd make sure of it.

Exactly one year ago, I posted my first Ninjago fanfiction on Tumblr

(Yes, this is one of these big and personal posts, but bear with me for a second ^w^)

I've already talked about how much Ninjago means to me, and what a positive impact it has had on my life, but to celebrate a year into this fandom, I'd like to focus on its community here on Tumblr.

I've always been into Ninjago. In fact, I started watching it back in 2011, when it first came out!

Later on, I discovered fanfiction. It was like a dream come true, to read original stories about my favorite ninja, and to write them myself too! Eventually I began posting them, and I must say... They weren't good XD

But hey, I loved writing them! So I did just that - I kept writing and writing, until... Well, I grew out of Ninjago when I reached 7th grade.

But last year, I decided to rewatch the entire series during Christmas break. It was like falling in love with my favorite ninja all over again.

And who would have thought there would be an active fanbase here on Tumblr?

I remember scrolling down the tag and smiling at every single artwork and piece of fanfic (+ memes, of course. Who can forget about memes?) that I found.

(And bruh, discovering bruiseshipping? Holy FSM, that was truly a Christmas miracle.)

On December 28th of 2017, I made my first Ninjago Vocal Cover.

The feedback I got was incredible. I had never, ever received such positive comments before, and the encouragement to do more helped me get out of the bad mental state I was in.

So I got writing again.

If I was going to post Ninjago, I was going to post Pixane.

So I did do that, and on January 1st of 2018, I posted my first Ninjago fanfiction in years.

Did I post it as soon as I finished it? Yes!

Had I beta-ed it? ... No...?

It was still a huge step for me though! Once that story was up, I was on freaking fire.

To make you understand, I published a total of 30 Ninjago related stories (and that was just the stuff I made public!)

I have never produced this much content before!

If that wasn't enough, I picked up my YouTube channel again, occasionally made some art, and heck, somehow I got motivated to clean up my room to make space for LEGOs.

I even had the pleasure of hosting a collaborative project with around 30 people! (Yes, the new one is on the way, we're all still working on it :D)

Suddenly I was motivated to do stuff, I wasn't sad all the time, I made new friends!

All that is because of YOU.

I'm just a random girl from Greece that happens to like a bunch of LEGO ninja. Yet, you've treated me with so much kindness, and made me feel like so much more than that.

I'm not oblivious to the fact that I am known inside this fanbase. I just want to make sure you know that you made my voice loud.

And for that, I am greatful.

I am greatful for the joy you've given me, and the memories I was able to make because of you.

I've always wanted this blog to be a place of positivity. It makes me so incredibly happy that you can seek to it to get away from everything else, that it makes you happy.

Day 4 of our Newcrest Adventures with the McFly family, aaaand -- I felt they needed a bit of a break after some of the bullshit they went through with their surprisingly-Gold-level weenie roast. (Particularly poor Jennifer, who was the one set on fire. . .) So today I kept it simple -- Marty and Jennifer have been putting on a little weight, so I figured they might appreciate getting their cardio back on with a trip to the gym!

Of course, it’s never quite that simple, is it? Firstly, Marty’s record label called him complaining that he needed to release some new tracks -- and my attempts at making new tracks always ended up with poor-quality CDs. *grumbles* Why is it that he’s apparently not competent at his job whenever I have him streaming? What is the magic formula for making a good track on the Mixmaster Music Station every time? Should I just keep remaking “Stabby Organs Revenge” over and over, the radio seems to like playing that one?

Er, anyway, the other complication of the morning was a surprise visit from Eric Embers! Yeah, I know, I could have just ignored him until he went away, but -- well, he was polite enough to knock, unlike other NPCs from our last episode. And it’s not like my poor Sims have to quarantine. So Jennifer invited him in, and they all had a nice chat surrounded by stinky plates at the dinner table. XD Yeah, no wonder Eric felt like he had to wash his hands. . .

And then I decided -- why not take Eric to the gym with us, just for a laugh? I mean, he’s a cop, he’d probably enjoy a good workout with friends. So, after having Marty take a vacation day (I hadn’t realized until just then how close it was toward him having to go to work), they all proceeded to Ripping Flats together and started exercising. With, uh, variable results, as you can see. Yeah, gotta be careful of those inclines, Marty!
