SERVAL!!! omg i love these guys so much they look like king cheetah caracal hybrids! they also kinda remind me of african wild dogs cuz of their dish-like ears XD i bet if i showed a pic of one of these to my ma (not as animal hyperfocused as me + dosent know difference of leopard, jaguar and somehow cheetah) will prob say this is a cheetah cub lolol i wish greedy people would just let them live in the wild and not keep them as pets where they dont belong tho-its so sad like bruh just adopt a reg cat :(

ok well obviously first is stella (@obstinaterixatrix hi i lov u) i was stella's fan before i was her friend (lol) but in general i really do think she's just like. a fantastic writer. her sense of timing+movement is just really impeccable in general, sorry for klance in 2023 but that scene where keith adn lance are talking and theyre holding plates of goo the whole time is so fucking funny and good and i think abt it still as like an example for just like. action in dialogue as a way to move scenarios along. fox out a forest is so good also STELLAS STUFF IS JSUT GOOD shes got good Sense of writing its tasty

eternally obsessed with rabbitprint as well. in general i htink their ability go get like...... character voice? is super well done. their ffxiv doesnt feel jarring in any way whatsoever but also neither does like, their p5 content. they hit Good Vibes and Good Voice and its all really nice i love rabbitprints stuff a lot

and then last............ let's go with signalbeam wwwww i think they have such like...... a fun and interesting style. like i'm thinking abt perishables rn which is one of my fave fics and like the way they work in details as a reflection on mood+feeling is so good. theyre very good at including the exact amnt of detail necessary to get an emotion across w/o actually naming the emotion, only to occasionally hit you with an absolute fucking banger in the middle ("How sad and bitter it was! But it was the truth." is a line that lives rent free in my mind always and forever)

i almost started to write honorable mentions but if we do that we'll be here all day. fic good if you want more recs check out my bookmarks (which i need to update lol) i love writing god

because sometimes there are invisible tests and invisible rules and you're just supposed to ... know the rule. someone you thought of as a friend asks you for book recommendations, so you give her a list of like 30 books, each with a brief blurb and why you like it. later, you find out she screenshotted the list and send it out to a group chat with the note: what an absolute freak can you believe this. you saw the responses: emojis where people are rolling over laughing. too much and obsessive and actually kind of creepy in the comments. you thought you'd been doing the right thing. she'd asked, right? an invisible rule: this is what happens when you get too excited.

you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.

you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.

don't fuck up. they're all testing you, always. they're tolerating you. whatever secret club happened, over a summer somewhere - during some activity you didn't get to attend - everyone else just... figured it out. like they got some kind of award or examination that allowed them to know how-to-be-normal. how to fit. and for the rest of your life, you've been playing catch-up. you've been trying to prove that - haha! you get it! that the joke they're telling, the people they are, the manual they got- yeah, you've totally read it.

if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.

you stare at your therapist, whom you can make jokes with, and who laughs at your jokes, because you are so fucking good at people-pleasing. you smile at her, and she asks you how you're doing, and you automatically say i'm good, thanks, how are you? while the answer swims somewhere in your little lizard brain:

how long have you been doing this now? mastering the art of your body and mind like you're piloting a puppet. has it worked? what do you mean that all you feel is... just exhausted. pick yourself up, the tightrope has no net. after all, you're cheating, somehow, but nobody seems to know you actually flunked the test. it's working!

I assume this is in reference to the "what if Ezra was around for the rest of the rebellion stuff"? Here's some further thoughts on how he would fit in with the OT trio :]

Han and Ezra get on each others nerves, being around each other is a constant ego measuring contest. Han brings out Ezra’s cocky side and they like to sound off against each other, but it’s mostly all banter and neither of them are ever seriously ticked off by each other. In fact, they like to play sabacc and other card games together whenever it’s just them kicking around base.

Leia and Ezra are besties ofc, I like to think they would’ve been pen pals throughout most of Rebels, and now they’re back in person face to face they spend a lot of time together just chatting. I like to think as teenagers they often confided in each other about the difficulties they faced in their respective roles in the rebellion, and they continue to be emotional rocks for each other later on. They also have a pretty banter filled relationship but it’s less vulgar than it is with Han.

As for Luke and Ezra… we’ll you know me, I’m on that skybridger bullshit haha. No notes there.

As a quad they all get along pretty great. Ezra brings a little silliness to the vibe, as well as a fair bit of emotional wisdom.
