Still a bit put up, and I sorta missed the boat due to being stuck in a cave, but.
Do not gift someone an ice-type pokèmon unless you know they are capable and willing to care for it.
Most ice-types need ready access to cold or sub-freezing environments. If you do not have one, they will make one, whether you like it or not. It's very cute to have a bunch of Snom around for the holidays! It's less cute when the snow is gone and you have to feed them as much food in one sitting as a human would eat in a whole day.
Not to say every single ice type requires a cold environment. Sneasel, Spheal, and Swinub are well known for being good companions in just about any environment, but be aware that they're all still adapted for cold environments. They will regularly seek out heat sources like radiators and hot springs, even in the wild, but keeping them outside for long periods of time on very hot days or in very hot, dry locales will overheat them faster than most pokèmon.
Please don't gift ANY pokèmon unless you know that the recipient is willing and able to care for it, but especially this time of year, be mindful of ice-types.

Ghost doesn't have loads of money, but he lives well, some would say modest, enough for his own level of comfort. He has his own little place when he isn't with the rest of 141 on missions. A house, a one-bedroom flat, something small and well concealed for his own paranoia when he is home by himself or is away for a while.
The extra money he does have? It is always anonymously donated to local women's shelters, rehabilitation centers, places that deal with displaced people/families/children, and other local centers or churches that take care of orphans. Sometimes Simon, sans mask because that is when he is truly Simon, goes and volunteers at the soup kitchen that the centers will hold--moving loads of food or serving the latest meal. Maybe even having a chat with those that are eating. If he is home, Simon is a local call when helping the shelter's inhabitants move into their own places once they get back on their feet. You might even catch him on the sidewalks, going door to door, to get more donations (cash, checks, food, supplies) for the places too.
He says he has a frozen heart, but I think he just leaves it with other people. In hopes that their lives will turn out better than his.
also this is just a lil thought i literally woke up in the middle of the night thinking about. homie really needs to do more background of ghost's life. i know like bare minimum about him and his mom/brother, etc.
ANYWAY... pls be kind this is some of the first stuff i have written AND published online since my Harry Potter fanfic era like 10 or 11 years ago.
and if anyone would like to make a full story about this GO FOR IT!!! i honestly thought it'd be cool if that was how he met the reader but idk. If you do write it just tag me pls!

Just had the funniest possible AU idea: Natsuyuu warrior cats AU where Natsume is a kittypet living with the Fujiwaras who keeps getting hassled by Natori and Matoba to join the clan cats in the area, because he's the child of Reiko, a stray who used to challenge everyone, cat or otherwise, to battle, and somehow always won. But Natsume wants none of that and just wants to enjoy his comfy bed and wet food in peace.
I haven't decided what the youkai would be yet, they'd either be the Spirits of other animals/cats that Natsume can connect with thru starclan bullshit, or just non cat animals that Reiko fought with. The second one is funnier but the first probably fits better with canon? But also I remember like nothing abt the warrior cats starclan Lore lol
Matoba is obviously the head of shadowclan (I considered changing the name but tbh shadow clan just works best either way) a strong but ruthless clan of cats that live in the area that banded together to defend against wild animals in the area. Maybe there's a bear or something in the area that has beef with them and keeps trying to attack the clan leader, and gave Matoba a scar on his eye?
Natori is the "head" of windclan, a clan that consists of him, sasago, urihime and hiiragi. Windclan used to be a big clan in the area, but got chased out by Shadowclan and retreated to being strays/kittypets. Natori is the child of a former windclan cat and a bougie purebreed showcat, and was never able to make it as a show animal because of a weird lizard shaped birthmark on his leg, so ran away to bring back windclan himself.
Natsume's highschool friends are just other kittypets in the neighbourhood he hangs out with. Tanuma is the cat of the local monk (he found him as a kitten under his porch), Taki and her brother are the pet cats of a local wealthy family, and her (cat) father was always interested in clan cats but could never meet them. Nishimura and Kitamoto are just average kittypets bought from a pet store.
Of course their names would all be different, I haven't decided on all of them but I think Natsume would be named 'Nutmeg', Tanuma would be 'Tuna' and Reiko would be 'Ghost' or 'the ghost'. Natori would call himself like. Sparklefur or something.

I've been trying to figure out the best way to word this and I think I have so bear with me
Aziraphale loves Crowley. That's plain as day, he loves seeing Crowley happy, he loves receiving affection from Crowley. But I don't think he particularly likes making sacrifices or pushing himself out of his comfort zone, when Crowley has shown time and time again that he's willing to do the same for him.
I hope I'm not alone in thinking that this season has been showing us all the ways that Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship is sort of... inequal--Aziraphale doesn't respect Crowley's wishes about making changes to the Bentley and only stops once Crowley threatens to treat his belongings the same way, he's dismissive of his concerns about Gabriel, he's too distracted with his ball to listen to Crowley's warning about the actual small army of demons outside their door--all the while Crowley's TOP priority has been Aziraphale and making sure that he won't be harmed, by Gabriel, Heaven, or otherwise.
I mean this in the nicest way possible, because it makes perfect sense for his character, but I think that Aziraphale has always been portrayed as kind of selfish and hypocritical, and I think that's on purpose and it's something that he needs to work through before he'd ever be ready to take his relationship with Crowley to another level. I think he's started to take for granted that Crowley will always be there for him, and that what makes him happy will always make Crowley happy, when that's not the case. He said it himself: Crowley goes too fast for him. Despite all the progress he's made, he's still stuck in his desire to go back to a fantasy of "the good old days" that never existed.

Well, looks like even a broken clock's right at least twice a day; an edelstan on twitter was pissed a few days ago when they saw that Cyril's Meet the Heroes description described his time “working” for House Goneril as “some odd twists and turns”, pointing out that such vague wording was most likely used due to a combination of 3H not caring about Cyril's backstory and IS needing to sanitize Hilda's image so she can sell better in Heroes.
Hahaha,
It's funny because on SPE some people made memes, and you have angry people in the comments, being angry and basically lying or making up facts to either diminish Cyril's uh, "working conditions" in House Goneril, or try to sweep it under the rug to give some "Rhea BaD" takes again
Like :
(meme where Claude doesn't criticise his allies for keeping slaves, but blame racism on the lady who saved the child slave)
"Faerghus is the most violent country because they killed the emperor and enacted a coup while being backed up by mole people" to talk about that time when Loog got his independance
"Rhea BaD bcs Cyril can't learn how to read if you don't support him with Lysithea" even if he writes in the Post TS regardless of recruiting Lysithea or not
"Claude tries to talk to Cyril out of fighting but Cyril drives to a suicide charge with Rhea's blessing so Rhea BaD" in GW, with the source being, idk, since the person who came with that take never sourced it
"Rhea BaD she used the regicide in Faerghus to get rid of her political enemies" you mean the dude who tried to kill her?
"Supreme Leader wouldn't be able to continue warring if Rhea DeD bcs else she would be invading people and would lose public support" like the Supreme Leader? From the land of MAGA? Lose public support?? If she invades nations to restore Adrestia to its glorious past???
"Cyril never said he wasn't eating well in house Goneril" but the JP line says he was always hungry in PAlmyra and Fodlan before coming to the Monastery...
Anyways, as expected, even if FEH tries to sanitise some of Fe Fodlan's most, uh, contentious points, we will always have discourse because some people just prefer their fanon to canon, and while I can understand them to a degree (look Willy is basically fanon at this point) it's always hilarious to see people refuse to engage or even consider that the game they "love" says X when they prefer Y.
When it comes to, in general, Church related characters or Kingdom related characters, we see a lot of discourse like this popping up because while FE Fodlan shat on them (to an extent, for the Church related characters) FEH has to give them the minimum spotlight they give to other characters of the franchise, so yes, Hilda's popularity most likely is the reason why Cyril in MYH just had some "odd twists and turns" (tfw Begnion Senators aren't as popular :( so Muarim was mentionned to have been a slave) but his voiced lines has him mention he was captured as a "war prisoner"...
Putting everything it adds up and we have : Cyril was captured as a war prisoner when he was 11-12 by the Gonerils, was hungry there, complained about "work being hard" there (when Cyril doesn't complain at all in GM despite the huge workload he has!), and implies to Mercedes to have been mistreated in House Goneril because he was Almyran (which matches Hilda's prejudices in her C support about Almyrans).
Why is Cyril's backstory so "discourse rising" then?
Is it because Rhea BaD cannot rescue a child from slavery from a popular character's family/household? Or because Hilda's laziness and preference to let other people do her chores looks especially wrong if we take into consideration that those "other people doing her chores" at home might be children "kept as prisoner of wars and fed twice per week"? Or because it reflects badly on Claude (in both games) who wants to end discriminations and prejudices by getting rid of the institution that rescued an abused child, while working hand in hand with the family that abused said child based on his origins?
(lol@the "but Faerghus BaD" bonus point in the earlier SPE thread I mention, I don't even understand why it was brought up lol)
Back to your post, it's hilarious how this edelstand was pissed becayse FEH whitewashed Cyril's backstory to maybe sell more Hilda alts, when Pat'n'pals try their hardest (in FE16, Nopes and even FEH!) to "alter the script" to shit on Rhea, Dimitri to make Supreme Leader alt'able.
Maybe there's hope for this twitter/X stan?

i am (hopefully) getting a cat next week!
(i gotta make sure my ESA letter that was written for my old cat will be good for a new cat, and then i gotta notify my landlord, and THEN my paperwork has to get approved by the humane society)
this is the boy i am considering getting
he is a gentle but very lazy little man with kind of a funny-looking face and a pudgy body and yellowy fur with white on his chest and paws
i think i'm gonna name him werther's original
(fingers crossed no one adopts him in the time it takes my papers to finish filing but that seems unlikely bc he's been at the shelter for almost a year by now)
