“But I don’t want to go,” I told my sister. She must've done a basic spell to do that… she gave them weirdly colored hair. One had a giraffe pattern, the other a zebra, and their leader a cow.

It looked funny on them. They all looked at each other and argued. They didn’t even notice the girl scoff and walk towards me.

“You could’ve let them figure it out,” she said and I chuckled. “Sorry to take away your surprise, but want help finding your books?” I asked and she smiled. “Please?” she asked and I swear I fell in love at the very moment. Her smile and shining eyes…

The only thing that hadn't changed was Yeonjun’s unwavering loyalty to you.

~~~In the Past~~~

A hundred years soon passed. Yeonjun was barely through a quarter of the history he had sought after but it almost wasn’t as important as it had been when he first had sought to make himself a part of your life. Now, he was your right hand, the one who ensured your choices and rulings were followed. He easily killed in your name. It wasn’t that he utterly loved you, which was the case, but more so your mind, your justice, was law and word for him. He would follow you into the bowels of hell and back, if only to make sure your feet never felt a spark of heat from the underworld.

“Yeonjun?”

Your lover was always a step or two behind you no matter where you went. Tonight you were on the rooftops of your castle, viewing the beautiful night sky. The moon was mostly covered with a shadow and that saddened you. You had wished to see her in all of her glory. At least you had the stars.

“My love?” Yeonjun moved to your side, palm sliding along yours until his hand clasped yours.

“There’s a war coming. The air smells of unrest. The humans are a superstitious lot but the world’s been bad to them these few decades. They’ll look to revolt. They usually always do when they think there’s someone to blame.”

Yeonjun slid to lean on one knee, bringing your hand to his lips as he kissed it. “I will eradicate them.”

Your eyes slid to Yeonjun. He wasn’t a youngling anymore but he didn’t have the centuries you had under your belt. He had yet to really read the ebb and flow, despite his years with his nose in a book. He would get there. You had faith.

Your eyes moved back to the sky. Even the ocean full of lights changed, and it seemed untouched by time. “Just prepare yourself, my pet.”

Yeonjun perked up, and if he had been a dog, his ears would have been pointed forward to you to listen. “Can we play tonight?”

You tossed back your head and laughed. Tears beaded at the corner of your eyes, you were laughing so hard. “You’d think that your libido would have died down a smidgeon.”

Yeonjun slowly but firmly kissed up your arm. “I always crave your body; I am never satiated.”

“I love you,” You murmured.

Yeonjun’s eyes softened, eyes lighting up with adoration of you. “My heart will only stop beating when yours does.”

You scoffed. “Such an outdated way to commit yourself as a vampire. We died a long time ago, Yeonjun.”

Yeonjun looked at you with every serious bone in his body. “If there is no you, there is no me. Our bones and muscles are knit together. There is no beginning or end. It is simply you and me.”

“I thought you read history not poetry,” You teased. Still, you exchanged a loving kiss.

“I read whatever I can get my hands on,” Yeonjun argued, lips chasing after yours when you sought to finish the kiss. “Now answer my question.”

You cupped Yeonjun’s soft cock through his leather pants. “Let’s get you some blood first. Then we can play to your heart's content.”

Yeonjun’s fingertips tickled your jaw as he looked to steal more kisses. “I need only your breath against my lips, your heartbeat against mine--oof!” He clutched his stomach where you had hit him. “Okay, enough poetic words, I get it!”

~~~Present Time~~~

Yeonjun found his familiar place by your coffin, folding his arms under his chin so he could stare at your face. These days he swore he could see micro expressions on your face. He was sure he could tell when you were reliving your nightmares instead of dreams. There was the tiniest of frown lines between your eyebrows but no one else could see it when he pointed out. He could also tell when you were living the good times with him. He had studied the curve of your lips for centuries; he fucking knew when they had a sliver of a smile. He often made you do that when you were awake, not looking to validate his corny lines.

You were waking up soon. He knew it. Once upon a time, you told him that you could anticipate what would happen next. That you had lived so many lives and so many faces that you had accumulated the sense when change was coming. Yeonjun had finally earned that trick after centuries of watching over you.

“I have so much to show you when you wake up,” Yeonjun sighed softly. “But first, you're going to fuck me until I can't forget what it feels like to be inside of you again.”

“Yeon…jun…?”

Yeonjun threw himself backwards, the raspy voice coming from the glass coffin filled with flowers scaring him. He rubbed his eyes, blinked several times and then crawled back up to where you were lying. Your eyes were pale, indicating you definitely needed some blood, but they were open.

Tears gathered at the corners of Yeonjun’s eyes but he smiled so brightly. “You’re awake.”

Your eyes widened with the recognition that your lover was indeed not dead. You sat up with speed becoming of a vampire, sending the top of the glass coffin straight into the wall adjacent. It shattered with bone-rattling noise, but you only had eyes for Yeonjun. “You’re alive.”

“I have waited for you,” Yeonjun sobbed, his shoulders shaking. “I have been here while you slumbered, guarding your body. Have you dreamt of me, my love? Was I good to you in your dreams?”

You raised your sharp-nailed hand to cup Yeonjun’s face. His tears wetted your hand but you cared not. “How long?”

Yeonjun hiccupped. “I’m almost as old as you were when you began to sleep.”

“Oh, Yeonjun,” You lamented.

“I was here every day. Every year. Every century. I knew you would need to see me, to touch me to believe I was real. I don’t care how long you slept. I just wanted to be here when you woke up.” Yeonjun’s shoulders finally stopped quivering, calming down.

You smiled so tenderly at Yeonjun in that moment, and he swore he might break, like the glass coffin lid you had shattered only moments ago. This moment didn’t feel real but it was all Yeonjun wanted, for this to be real. “You really did mean when you said that it is simply you and me.”

Yeonjun took your hand cupping his face and brought it to his lips to kiss the back of it, just like the last night you shared before you were fooled into thinking he was no more. It made your throat tighten with emotion. “My heart will only stop beating when yours does.”

You surged forward, throwing your arms around Yeonjun’s neck, and kissed him. You kissed him like it had been you waiting five hundred years for HIM to wake up. “I love you,” you gasped. “My heart will only stop beating when yours does.”

Yeonjun lifted you out of your coffin, cradling you in his arms. He carried you into the main chamber of the castle. He had to cross through them to bring you to his bedroom--your shared bedroom.

“Holy shit.” Beomgyu whistled. “She's fucking awake.”

Kai dropped his phone on his face in shock while Soobin smacked the back of Beomgyu’s head. “Have some respect.”

Taehyun teared up but dashed his tears away. “Romance isn’t dead!”

“Wait…Yeonjun! Where are you going?” Soobin called out.

You chuckled under your breath. “Did you say I was going to fuck you until you can't forget what it feels like to be inside of me again?”

Yeonjun hefted you in his arms so he could bury his face into your neck. “I know you just came from a coffin but I don't think you will be leaving the bed for a few days.”

[Vampire!Dream Soulmate AU] Prologue

or as I call it, Lord Dimitrescu!Dream AU. 😂

Disclaimer: You don't need to know anything about Resident Evil Village prior to reading this. 😊 All you really need to know is that Dream is a vampire who is sometimes human-sized, and sometimes 9ft. tall, and sometimes a gargantuan eldritch monster.

It's hard to know when exactly this story starts.

It could be argued that it begins with the inciting incident. A raffle among a prestigious university's faculty members. A 34-year-old history professor winning the grand prize: a 3 days, 2 nights trip anywhere in the world, as long as he writes about his travels upon returning.

The history professor could have gone to Egypt and visited some ancient tombs. Or he could have gone to Rome and written about the Colosseum while eating authentic Italian pizza a stone throw's away from the place.

But instead he chooses the little village of Dreaming, located somewhere in Eastern Europe, which he has only ever heard of once in his life. He reasons that he doesn't know anyone who has been there before, and wouldn't it be nice to go somewhere where no other professor has been before? (The last comment was directed towards Professor Shaxberd, who won the raffle last year, and decided to go to Bath and wrote about The Roman Baths.)

But we could also go further back, when a pair of twins cursed their older brother into a life of misery after disfiguring him so terribly, that most of his subjects either abandoned him, or turned on him and tried to kill him.

Or even further back, when the oldest of seven extraordinary children spoke a prophecy, which the third child believed with all his little heart. It is the only thing that has kept him going, century after century.

If this were purely a horror story, it would begin with the history professor boarding a tour bus to the small village hidden deep in the mountains, and seeing only wonderful things along the way. He would take pictures of stunning forest views and mountains wreathed in mist; and not notice the unnatural darkness, or the feeling that something hungry is watching the bus's progress.

But this, at its heart, is a love story. And so it begins when the human meets the monster.

Well Met By Moonlight Part 1

Hi!!! So...I know I don't usually put out stories until they're a lot further into the story (side-eyes soulmate AU and Boy With a Bat), but this one is begging to escape confinement and I have fallen in love with the story so...

The title is a play on the line from Midsummer's Night's Dream, "Ill met by moonlight, Titania." In which Oberon is not pleased to see her. So I twisted it a bit to make it more romantic.

Also if there are weird tense changes I'm so sorry!!! I tried to find all of them but I'm not sure I caught all of them!!!

Steve ran blindly through the trees, branches and roots raising to slow his progress to safety. He stopped for breath behind a tree, his leg aching and bleeding from the bullet wound.

"Fuck!" he cursed under his breath. He had been hearing the rumblings from the high school and beyond. He had heard that there were certain people in town picking up metaphorical pitch forks and torches against the supernatural community. He should have listened more carefully, but more than one of his pack had dismissed it as baseless rumors.

Steve closed his eyes as he fought back the tears that sprang up in the sheer agony he felt. He bit back a groan through clenched teeth. He couldn’t shift due to the silver and because of that, he couldn't heal either.

He could hear them getting closer, crashing and stumbling through the underbrush like a newborn deer. He scoffed in disdain, at least he was wounded, what was their excuse?

He tried to slow his breathing, this was no time for snarky commentary. For the first time in his life, he felt real fear. Not the jittery nerves of asking a girl out or the thrilling danger of fighting older and stronger wolves for the title of alpha. No this was true fear.

Steve opened his eyes slowly as he weighed his choices. He could either keep going and hope he made it to the pack compound, or he could make a break for the trailer park as it was closer.

He squeezed his eyes shut and ran for the tree line. He was almost there when... SNAP!

He screamed as his wounded leg got caught in a foothold trap. He tried to wrestle the trap off his leg, but the trap like the bullet was silver. A twig snapped to his left and he looked up.

He was surrounded by five men. Even in the dim light he could make out who they were. Jason Carver, Patrick McKinney, Andy Miller, Chance Nelson, and Josh Bentley. All wannabe hunters.

Jason was the worst. He had thought his pretty little girlfriend Chrissy Cunningham was human and she turned out to be a vampire. He was so disgusted he started trying to stir up the town against its supernatural population. And from the looks of it, he was succeeding.

And then his world went black.

When Steve came to, he could feel the pain of silver all over. His head, his neck, his wrists, and ankles. He lifted his head and realized that they were more than just five punk kids with too much free time on their hands. They were sick fuckers.

He was completely naked, his neck, hands, and feet were bound to a cross with thick silver cord and on his head he could feel the sting of silver thorns pressing into his scalp.

Andy whistled and all five of them stood up.

Jason picked up a metal baseball bat and dragged it behind him as he sauntered up to Steve. “Well, looks like the pup is finally awake. Hey little doggy, want a treat?”

The other boys laughed.

“This attempted murder, you assholes!” Steve spat, spitting blood in their faces.

Jason wiped off his face with a grimace. “No, it’s hunting. You’re monsters, all of you. The vampires and the werewolves. It’s time the humans rose up and took our town back. And we’re starting with you.”

Jason readied his bat when suddenly there was a snarling sound.

Steve could hear the flap of giant wings, but his captors could not.

Patrick screamed when something big and dark landed in front of him. In the dim light of their distant fire, they could only make out the shape.

It stood on pair of digitigrade legs, that ended in large cat-like paws. It’s giant, leathery wings were unfurled to its massive fifteen foot span. Its red eyes glittered with malice and rage. From what they could see of the hands, the ended in long claws or talons and the fingers were tipped black.

The beast in front of them roared.

Andy was the first to turn to tail. “You said werewolves! You didn’t say anything about vampires!” he screamed over his shoulder.

“Get back here!” Jason hissed. “We have silver you moron! He can’t hurt us!”

The vampire chuckled darkly and took a a step toward Jason, cocking his head to side, just before he lunged right at him.

Wayne smelled the blood of a wounded werewolf first. He straightened up in his comfy recliner and scented the air. Eddie, who had been preoccupied playing his guitar, stopped.

He tilted his head toward the direction Wayne was scenting.

Wayne made a face. “Silver. I told Sheriff Powell those boys would be trouble.”

Eddie nodded. Even before Wayne changed him into a vampire, he knew that Jason Carver and his ilk were bad news.

“Go!” Wayne growled. “I’ll inform the authorities.”

Eddie grinned. He was finally going to get a little payback for the bullying in high school tonight. He leaped from the trailer and had transformed before he even reached the arc of his jump. His wings extended and with two mighty beats he was airborne.

Now that he was in the air he could smell what Wayne had. The cloying scent of werewolf blood. It was richer and darker then human blood with a kind of spice to it, like clove or cardamon.

And it was absolutely tainted with silver.

Those idiots! Eddie snarled. Not only had the hunted a werewolf just yards away from their compound they had also hunted so close to the trailer park. It was like they were asking for hell to be brought down on their heads.

He ran his tongue over his fangs as he sought out his prey. He swooped down about one yards feet from Forest Hills and caught sight of the trap the hunters had used to capture the werewolf.

A chill ran down his spine. Those types of traps were considered inhumane to animals he couldn’t imagine someone wanting to use it on a sentient being for fuck’s sake.

Eddie quickly dismantled the trap and disposed of the pieces safely. He didn’t want anyone to get hurt on it, human or supe.

After he was done he noticed that some of the blood of the werewolf had gotten on his hands. He brought one finger to his lips for a taste and god it tasted divine.

It also told him he had a much bigger problem on his hands then a wounded werewolf on his hands.

The bastards had taken Steve. The Harrington pack alpha.

Fuck, fuck, fuck! Eddie thought as he kicked at the forest floor.

This was bad.

Having tasted the blood, all his senses were filled with the scent of Steve Harrington. Eddie had to stop and narrow in on one sense. His sense of smell. He blocked out everything else.

Eddie launched himself back into the air again. This time he was able to sense were they had taken him.

It led him to a small clearing with a lit fire and the scent of blood was all over the camp site and everywhere else for about one hundred yards in all directions.

Eddie had to begrudgingly give them that one. If Steve hadn’t been the alpha, that would have confused anyone trying to find him. But it seemed like these idiots didn’t realize that being the alpha came with a shit ton of perks.

Being able to change someone into a werewolf, the ability to banish people from the pack, the ability to bond with a mate (other werewolves mated, but it was more like a marriage to humans), and the ability to have the whole pack know where you are based on your scent.

Eddie wasn’t completely sure about the magics on that, but it fascinated him deeply.

And then he saw Steve and a growl was ripped from his throat against his will.

They weren’t leaving anything to chance. Either Steve died from the blood loss and not being able to heal because of all the silver or he would suffocate from being fucking crucified.

And then Eddie folded his wings and dropped to the forest floor in a dive.

Steve watched in utter fascination and admiration as the vampire played with and chased his prey.

Fuck.

He was in too much pain if thought it was sexy as hell. He was lightheaded and nauseous from the blood loss and the silver burning into his skin. He chest hurt and he was starting to struggle to breathe.

He lowered his head to his chest, trying to catch his breath, but he felt it rattle around his chest.

Suddenly there were flashing lights and shouts from men other then the hunters.

Steve must have blacked out again, because in front of him was a terrified Sheriff Powell and very angry Eddie Munson.

“This is the price of your inaction!” Eddie was snarling.

“They are just kids!” the sheriff hissed back.

“Not if they can do that to the alpha of the largest pack in the county,” Eddie snapped. “I will make sure that coven is made aware of this as well as the pack.”

Sheriff Powell gulped. “You wouldn’t!”

Eddie leaned into his space. “You should have thought of that before you did nothing!”

Sheriff Powell hung his head. He looked back up at Steve and then he nodded. He walked back to the other police officers and cars.

Steve suddenly felt cool hands touch his face gently.

“Hey, Stevie,” Eddie murmured. “You awake, babe?”

He lifted his head and Eddie hissed in sympathy. “They beat you good.”

Steve didn’t even feel the pain in his face not when everything else hurt as much if not worse. “I’m dying...”

Eddie cursed. “Let’s get you down from there before that can happen, okay? Just hold on, I’ve got you.”

Steve heard a crack and suddenly he was being lowered gently to the ground, face first.

“Sorry about the dirt in your face, Stevie,” Eddie murmured, “But this is the easiest way to get the silver off of you.”

Steve tuned his head and nodded the best he could.

CRACK!

The wood splintered and he felt the wood and silver band slide off his left arm. He wanted to immediately tuck it under his chest to protect it from further harm, but he was too tired to even so much as twitch his wrist.

Slowly, one by one, Eddie broke the cross around him until Steve was free.

Eddie rolled him over and pulled him into his embrace.

Steve reached up and stroked Eddie’s cheek. “Thank you.”

Eddie blushed. “You’re okay now.”

He reached down and tried to break the chain across Steve’s neck. But it sapped his super-human strength and no matter how hard he tugged, it remained firmly in place.

“Sorry,” he told Steve. “I can’t break it, but I can at least get the crown off, so it doesn’t muss your pretty hair.”

Steve laughed. “It’s okay, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a silver collar and I’m sure it won’t be the last.”

Eddie winced at that because who the fuck would do something like that to him.

Eddie tenderly propped Steve up against a tree and tore several ribbons from the bottom of his shirt and gently wrapped Steve’s neck in the soft black cotton. “I hope this will help keep it off your skin so that you can heal enough not to die before I get you to the compound.”

“How are you going to get me home?” Steve asked. “Won’t the silver sap your strength?”

Eddie chuckled. “Only if it touches my skin, but even if that wasn’t the case, I’d still be able to carry you from here to there, no problem.”

Steve threw his head back and laughed. “You been bench pressing behind everyone’s back there, Munson?”

Eddie scooped him up without effort and cradled him to his chest. “You aren’t any heavier than a drum kit, sweetheart, and I’ve hauled those plenty of times. Plus I was in stage crew in high school. Those backdrops aren’t lightweights let me tell you.”

“All right, you win,” Steve conceded.

Eddie looked down at Steve and could already tell that even with the bullet in his leg, Steve was looking better.

He walked all the way to the compound, afraid of flying because he hadn’t flown with someone before and was terrified he’d drop Steve. Steve and he murmured to each other whole trip, growing fonder with each step.

Steve felt safe again, wrapped in the arms of this metalhead vampire. When he ran from the hunters he never thought he’d feel that ever again.

In a time that was far too long and not quick enough at the same time, they arrived at the entrance the pack.

“Okay, Stevie,” Eddie said gently placing him on the ground. “If I walk in there, your pack is going to rip me to shreds.”

“I know,” Steve mumbled. “I’m grateful you got me this far. Thank you.”

“I’ll check up on you tomorrow when you’re all healed, though,” Eddie promised.

Steve cupped Eddie’s cheek again. “I look forward to it.”

Eddie blushed a dark red in the moonlight. “Get well, alpha.” And then he took off into the night as three keepers came rushing to the line of trees to help Steve.

He smiled ruefully and then set off for home.

HI!!! tysm for your ask <3 i hope you can find something to write amongst all the ideas. These are a bunch of ideas have written down in my notes/google drive/tumblr posts and have not got gotten around to. I still might at some point in time but feel free to use them. I will still do my own take if I get the time/motivation. There's simply so many, why not share and inspire some fics :)

General ideas:

Noah knows/learns spanish. Bonus points if Alejandro isn't aware until the perfect moment.

Alejandro thinks he can get away with flirting with Noah in spanish. Noah starts shit talking in spanish. Noah learns so he can hear all the little comments Alejandro keeps making under his breath. etc. so many possibilities.

Now that the show is over and Noah's off to college, he realizes he’s missing something in his life. Maybe it’s his friends, maybe it’s a lack of ever-looming danger, OR maybe it’s Alejandro. Who fucking knows. He’s too busy trying not to be in love with Alejandro to figure it out.

Their group project is failing, horribly. There’s one thing Noah knows for certain: Alejandro's to blame. At what point does slippery eel turn into a term of endearment?

They have never ever fallen asleep next to each other. Let alone in each other's arms. Never.

Time loop where Alejandro is stuck on the episode where Noah gets voted out and sticks himself to falling in love because he can’t let go of his pride long enough to simply let Noah stay in the game and move on.

Noah loses his contacts and starts wearing his glasses more often. Alejandro notices. Everyone notices Alejandro notices.

Alejandro and Noah team up to get their friends together (insert whatever ship you like) and end up together in the process/the other two were trying to do the same thing for them.

A commentary timeline on how Alejandro's charisma turn into exploitation, how Noah's patience turned into indifference, and how they parallel each other. (I've written a few hundred words for this one lol.)

Each thinks the other doesn't like them. Cut to third party POV that watches and witnesses them completely a mess for each other.

Noah, once voted out in I See London, learns about Alejandro's family. Who have been very vocal since the show started airing.

Exploration of how Alejandro tries really really hard. Yes, He's at the top of the class, but so is Noah. Noah who sleeps through classes and doesn't turn in homework and shows up late or simply not at all and is still right up there with him.

“I would kill to be like you. To just absorb all the information fed to me. If I were you I might actually- “(beat my brother) “Might actually what?” “I told you. I don’t want to talk about it, Noah.” - "Do you know how long I studied for that test? Hours. And you- You got a 96 with no effort at all." It was a 98. But this seems like a bad time to correct him.

I chose a card… I knew it wasn't from Niki, Jake, nor Jungwon. But it had to be from Jay or Sunoo most likely from Sunoo since he was the romantic. I hate that I knew some of them. But the message won me over.

The masquerade was in a week and I couldn't wait.

“Hello, lovely soulmate!” I heard as I saw Jake. “A rose for you” he said and I smiled. All of them were on a mission to have me choose them. “How kind of you” I said and he smiled as he kissed my hand.

“You're trying too hard” I heard as I saw Sunghoon and Jake groaned. “Dude go away!” Jake said and Sunghoon rolled his eyes.

“y/n come on let's get away from this freak!” he said and Jake looped his arm around me. “Where are we going then?” he challenged and the two glared at each other.

“Both of you are pathetic, did you forget you had a meeting with Wonyoung? Jake, you also have a meeting with the treasurers” Jungwon said and they groaned.

“Bye y/nnie!” they yelled.

“How are you doing my love?” he asked and I smiled. “Good and you, Wonnie?” I asked and he smiled as he put his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. “Better when I'm around you, this masquerade thing is a lot of work,” he said and I nodded as I hugged him back.

“I know but it'll be fun, '' I said and he chuckled. “It'll be fun if you choose me,” he said and I smiled. “Even if I don't won't you save me a dance?” I asked and he nodded. “Even if you don't, I'll steal you away,” he said, making me chuckle.

“Love birds, ugh” I heard and saw Wonyoung gagging.

“Back to work for both of you!”

When we first met I felt drawn to love at first sight.

“We are not changing colors,” Jungwon said. Riverfield and Decelis had similar colors which led to an argument between councils.

“Those are our colors, you guys can choose black and gray like the colors of your ancestors!” Taki suggested even if it was a joke it made me scoff.

“Blue and Gold don't even suit Decelis'” K said and I rolled my eyes. He was getting on my nerves… while my naive mate that I rejected didn't believe that he had a crush on her I do. His thoughts were annoying and filled with envy… whilst my oblivious princess was stupid enough to beg for his hand.

“Why don't we just choose a color, we can have gold and you guys blue?” Jungwon tried reasoning and whilst EJ nodded– “No” K interrupted. “K it's a good compromise–” “Those are our colors, why should we let the vampires have that?” he said stubbornly. “But gray and black aren't even our colors either, '' Sooha pouted.

“I think it's a good compromise, we can do navy blue,'' EJ suggested. “We could go gold and white,” Jungwon said and they agreed.

K however didn't let his thoughts go…

The meeting was dismissed when they finally left our council room. “Why did it matter so much?” Sooha asked. “We are rivals,” Jake suggested. “It's also a school’s pride,” Jungwon added.

“So how’s the soulmate thing going for you guys?” Sooha asks and I sometimes wish she would shut up.

“She’s amazing! Tomorrow we're going to the city where she wants to show me another witch spot” Jake said and I refrained from scoffing. He made it a habit to eat with her… for some reason, it helped him with control.

“Ooh! I wanna go!” Sunoo said with a grin. He accepted her second and he was completely whipped for her.

“You need to be event planning” Jungwon scolded… the first one to be accepted by her.

“Don’t you think you’ve made a big enough enemy out of Wonyoung? You're constantly stealing her away” Sunghoon said… someone who used her, but for some reason she forgave him.

“He has nothing else better to do” Jay joked… he wasn’t even romantically involved with her… yet Despite his wishes for it going slow and starting off as platonic was getting more and more romantically interested as he saw how her other soulmates kiss and dote on her.

“He should be helping me with the Decelis final game,” Niki said… another one who first accepted her, and went against me but fixed their relationship.

“I'm jealous… you guys look so happy with her. K still hasn't accepted me… and she doesn't want anything to do with me” Sooha said and they all sighed. Thoughts running around about K and how he had to get his act together which I agreed with.

“At this point why not go with Heeseung?” Sunoo suggested and I refrained from glaring or scoffing. Sooha looked at me with sad eyes and I tried my best to give her a genuine smile.

“Will you?” she asked and I wanted to say no… “Sure”

I was making it my way to her to deliver papers when I overheard voices.

“Yeah, so Jungwon and EJ agreed that we keep our colors and they’ll–” “They agreed to split up the colors, we didn't agree on keeping black and red” I interrupted as I opened the door.

I noticed her confused expression while looking at K for confirmation. Innocent and naive…

“K?” she asked and he turned his attention to her and smiled softly. “We really did. Don’t tell me you believe him or me?” he asked and I scoffed.

She looked at me confused…

“I just don’t understand…” she said. “EJ and Jungwon both agreed to split up the colors, they'd get navy blue and we’d get gold and white,” I said and K shook his head. “We agreed Declis would have vampire colors, black and red,” K said, completely lying.

“But Declis doesn't use red or black?” she asked now confused but looking at K for confirmation. “It's the colors of vampires–” “He’s a liar, I understand not to believe me but ask Jungwon yourself or any of your soulmates,” I said and she looked at K.

“K… are you lying to me? Do I have to go to EJ?” she asked in a soft tone and he sighed. “You understand right? Bright Sun’s colors are gold and orange, it classifies too much” he tried saying and she looked at me confused.

“I just don't understand why you'd lie?” she asked and he scoffed.

“You really believe him? The same vampire who rejected you day one?” he asked, now angry. His thoughts swirl of betrayal and begging her to take his side.

“Well… me and Heeseung may not have a good friendship but he’s respected me and never lied about council work. Or at least not that I know of…” she said and I was glad she trusted me even a little bit. “Besides, we agreed on these terms… Why are you trying to go behind everyone’s back?” she asked and he sighed.

“Forget it… I get it, even though he rejected you, you’ll still follow him around like a fool” he said as he stormed off. I looked at her to see she was confused and shocked…

“Uhm… I'm sorry about that” she apologized and I shook my head. “Thank you for trusting me, I–” “Though I know you’ve lied to me in the past, I want to clear that just because I trusted you now that I might not in the future,” she said and I nodded.

I did lie to her in the past… with Jungwon and Sunoo. Even with Jay… so why lie to K?

“I’ll handle this, thank you”

K was acting strange… he was also getting more annoying and out of bounds. He was crossing the line with her and with her soulmates. So why was he trying so hard to get her when knowing Sooha would be happy to accept him?

It was now getting out of hand that he was interfering with her when she was happy.

I made my way to HYBE academy where I tried to find someone to give me advice. “Oh? Heeseung, looking for your sister?” I heard and I saw Jeonghan-hyung. I nodded when he seemed to laugh at me… “She’s been out of hand with the council,” he said and I sighed. “With her soulmates?” I asked and he nodded. “She’s in the council room with one of them,” he said as he waved and left.

I went to the council room when I heard yelling…

“Who do you think you are?!” I saw… a dragon as I opened the door. She smiled at me with that dangerous deceitful smile. “Heeseung! Do you do anything?” she asked, ignoring the man beside her. He seemed to scoff and glare at me.

“I wanted to talk but if you are–” “Oh? You can talk to me any time, Hee. Jongho, it was a pleasure with this conversation but I'm needed,” she said as she looped her arm around me and smiled at him as we left.

“He seems as hateful as his past life,” I said and she chuckled. “He hated me then and still hates me now. Nothing new” she said and I knew she wanted to change her fate with them but deep inside she still hated them just the same.

“So… is this about your soulmate?” she asked and I nodded. “Hmm. I saw her with Jake… seems like they were close” she said and I scoffed… I still couldn't believe she’d forgive him even while she changed those bandages, seeing that burn on her neck. A reminder of what he did for another woman.

“You’re an idiot. You love her… love at first sight. Not even Sooha has done that for you, so why do you keep pushing her away?” she asked and I didn’t know anymore.

“You have no reason to push her away. They’ve accepted her… you're just being stubborn and self-destructive” She was right. She always was…

“When you… first met them. You didn’t love them, you kept them as pawns… what's different now dear sister” I teased and she sighed. “The mate bond does wonders… I wanted so badly to succumb to it then. So it's hard to finally let me feel love for them” she said and I nod.

“It’s our pride,” she said and I chuckled.

“We really haven't changed, have we?” I asked and she smiled.

“No… we really haven't my dear familiar”

“I don’t know why he’s acting this way… I'm sorry for how he’s been behaving” he apologized and I sighed. “I just don’t understand… I thought at first it was a joke, a lie, but I didn’t expect him to genuinely have a crush on me” I said and he sighed. “I don’t think he does… I think he just doesn’t want to accept Sooha for fear she’ll regret it” EJ explained and I sighed.

“But… to fight with Heeseung? Why?” I was confused by both boys' behavior. I heard a knock when Sangyeon popped in. He offered a smile and gave me files. “I know it's rude… but I overheard, '' he said and I sighed. “Don’t worry–” “But, I may not understand mate customs but… sometimes guys will settle with people who they think can offer them comfort. It seems like K and you understood each other on some sort of level” he offered and I did.

“I was also going to ask, how was the masquerade going to work?” he asked and I smiled. “Uhm. We’ll have masks for our class offered to the school. So the colors of our school for example yours were Red, right? You will be given a mask of the design of your choice to use, it's the same thing with the telegrams you have to use your class card. So IST Academy has the logo and the color red. You can write to someone asking them to meet with you” I explain and he nods.

“I didn’t expect to get any, let alone from different classes,” he confessed and I chuckled. “A lot of the council members actually got a bunch of them. Wonyoung alone gets one each hour” I said and he laughed.

“Did you decide on one already?” he asked and I nodded. “I hope for your own sake, it's your mate” EJ said and I chuckled.

It couldn’t be anyone else.

heeseung’s perspective

As I made it back inside, walking the hallways I noticed yelling. “Watch where you're going!” I heard… Jake? “Me? What about you, just cause you’re up and cozy with y/n you think you–" "Shut up!” Jake yelled now pissed as he grabbed his collar and I sighed.

I could see Jake was close to swinging and turning violent. “Jake, let him go,” I said and he glared at me. “I did nothing wrong–” “I know, but you should be a bigger person. Something he should learn from” I said and he laughed and let me peel him away from the wolf who scoffed.

“A bigger person would never harm his mate–” “A bigger person wouldn’t chase another’s mate,” I said and scoffed. “You’re a hypocrite Lee Heeseung,” he said and I rolled my eyes.

“No, I'm not… I’ve never been in a romantic relationship or tried with your mate. I may have rejected mine, but I didn’t for another person” I said and he looked confused. My actions… didn’t show it but it was true.

“Stop picking fights with council members… y/n wouldn’t like hearing that you hurt Jake or any of them,” I said and he scoffed and walked away.

“Thanks… for actually taking my side,” Jake said and I sighed. “You weren’t in the wrong this time,” I said and he scoffed. “What's that supposed to mean?!” he yelled and I laughed. “Just don’t get into too much trouble,” I teased and he laughed.

“You know I missed this Heeseung,” he said and I sighed. “Jake?” I said and he looked at me with a smile. He really was improving, he was also happy.

“I’m sorry for being such a bastard these last few months”

We went back to the dorm when I saw them all… just how long did it take them to join sides?

“Jake, are you okay?” I heard Jay ask him, seeing that he was a bit roughed up. “Oh? Yeah, just K being a jealous dog” he said and I laughed.

“Heeseung helped me though… K seems to listen to you more” he said and I shrugged. “Heeseung is not being a jerk for once?” Jay teased and I glared. “Oh shut up,” I said and he laughed.

“So you're back to normal? Got the stick out of your ass?” Sunghoon said and I scoffed. “I wouldn’t talk so lightly, Sunghoon,” I said and he laughed.

“Why have you been such a jerk recently?” Sunoo asked and I sighed. “Do you know how… I told you guys I was a witch?” I said and they nodded. “I went to the younger sister school of Bright Sun. For the one for kids, I shared a class with a girl named l/n y/n”

I was happy that I finally seemed to be on good terms with them now.

Now they seemed to understand my behavior and I admit how much of a bastard I was to them. How mean and cruel I acted… but everything was okay. Just like it was before, just with the girl I used to have a crush on. Who knew she was my soulmate?

I made it to the view of the ocean where I saw K.

“You really need to let go of your insecurities,” I said and he noticed me there. “Go–” “You need to fix it… send Sooha that card you wrote, sign your name and she’ll come running to you” I said and he didn’t say anything.

“I wrote a letter to y/n, not Sooha,” he said and I sighed. “It's impossible to lie to K. You did send her a letter but she won’t choose it… she organized all the piles and didn’t even read any confession that didn’t come from Decelis,” I said and he knew it was true.

“You don’t like her… you’re just jealous she’s happy,” I said and he chuckled. “How can I ever be with Sooha when you're around?” he asked and I sighed. “Sooha doesn’t like me, and I don’t like her. I have to bite my tongue from telling her how stupid and naive she’s being to my mate. But love blinds you K, and nothing more important than the person you love” I said and he only stared at me.

“Why… are you speaking as if you love her? You rejected her first…” he said and I chuckled.

“Because I loved her even before I died”
