I am once again thinking about final moments Mountain

I think he'd meticulously give away his belongings to those he know would like them.

Rain, his fall hoodies he steals, because he knows how much the water ghoul loves them. Rain even steals them and Mountain simply lets him keep them. They never return.

He'd leave his books behind for both Aether and Phantom, the two quints always loving reading time with the earth ghoul

He'd ask Swiss to keep an eye on his plants because 'something feels wrong with them, like they're about to be sick, and i need to make a plan for whatever gets them'. Swiss feels so honored that Mount would ask for his help. Swiss even goes to the library to look for books on plant disease. 

He'd strategically break his drumsticks during practice, not at all uncommon, but tells Copia he has one last set in his room (he doesn't). This gets the other's attention and Dewdrop chirps that they should also restock on strings and drumstick, and there's a chorus of 'oh yeah, good thinking'

Not that he plans on using the replacements. Just another thing to get rid of.

He'd leave all his beauty products and art supplies to the ghoulettes. Aurora, his expensive paints and calligraphy set. Cumulus, all the hair bands and scrunchies and bath items he 'never uses'. Cirrus, his paintings he's made over the years because he knows she'll appreciate them the most.

He even remembers Sunshine, giving her the skulls and antlers of various kills he made in the Abbey Forest.

And for Papa Copia, well, Father Imperator. It may seem superficial but it was extremely sentimental and heartfelt. He timed it to when he had to shed his antlers, cleaning them as best as possible and placing them in a beautiful ornate box.

Of course, his true final gift is the various goodbye letters he clips to the doors of each of his pack members. He thought about sliding them under their doors, but you never know who will be awake, so he clips them to the outsides.

Maybe they'll see in the morning. Maybe they won't.

Either way, he'll be one with the soil again.

Molly correcting Arthur when he calls her Miss O’Shea to call her Molly. And is then brushed off/ ignored when she was trying to confide in him.

Molly correcting Dutch when he calls her Miss O’Shea to call her Molly. And this literally being one of the final things she says before she’s killed.

The way she just wants people to use her name and treat her like an actual human being rather than an object to sit and look pretty next to Dutch. To look at her and see her and listen to her.

Does it ever make you a little crazy insane thinking about how Jesper and Wylan both have these gaping absences in their families, these needs that haven't been met for years, but as their stories become parallel, they find exactly what they need in each other's lives?

Because okay, hear me out, Jesper couldn't save his mom, nor can he ever bring her back, but he was able to help Wylan save his mom. His mom who was supposed to be dead. He was able to help bring her back in a way that he will never able to do for his own mom. And no, she'll never be Aditi, but I think she'll grow to love him as a son-in-law.

Wylan, meanwhile, lost his father's love at a young age. He will never be good enough for Jan, because Jan refuses to love or accept him as he is. But Colm, Jesper's father who loves him, who only wants the best for his son, meets Wylan when he's easily at his lowest point in life, when he's wrapped up in crime and scandal, and what does he say? "I think you’d be good for [Jesper]." And that means everything.

Jesper and Wylan don't just complement each other as a couple, their lives thread together like stitches closing long open wounds.

Love the idea of Papa Secondo of all people moaning and whimpering during sex

I was thinking about the Crows and their tattoos, which is a smaller detail I often forget about them. These are teenagers that have been forced or choose to permanently have marks are their body that reflect something about themselves.

Nina has a tattoo from The White Rose, the brothel she was employed by. Every time she glances at it, does it remind of her of Matthias, who she took the job for?

Inej had a tattoo from The Menagerie that she had crudely removed. Does the scar of it remind her of being captive or her freedom?

Kaz has the "R" tattoo and one for the Dregs. When he sees it in the mirror, does he remember Jordie and the boy he used to be? Does the Dregs tattoo remind him of the criminal he's become to get his revenge?

Does Jesper's Dregs tattoo remind him of the debt he got himself into? Does it remind him of his father and their farm?

Does Matthias have trouble understanding why the other Crows have tattoos because he never had to permanently mark himself to prove his loyalty to the Druskelle?

Does Wylan wish he had the Dregs tattoo that would resemble some sense of belonging that he never really felt at home?

My favorite thing in red dead redemption and red dead online is how the characters are HUMAN! Not just in the way they are,but in their appearances too! They have wrinkles,they have scars and smile lines and gray hair,the works. Sean is missing a tooth (albeit through a painful situation),one of Molly’s teeth in the front is slightly bigger than the other,Dutch has forehead wrinkles,Maggie in red dead online has a blind eye and a huge burn scar,a lot of the characters have crows feet too! They’re all SO human and I love red dead for that!! It’s a beautiful game with details that are still being found all these years later but the details in the characters by far are my favorite

Okay maybe this is a known thing and I’m just spouting nonsense or both Idek it’s half one in the morning and I was meant to be getting an early night but YOU GUYS I was just listening to my Soc audiobook and in chapter 18 when Kaz is remembering the coffee shop and the Hertzoon scam we learn that the first trade major trade Jordie and Kaz were privy to and I’m pretty sure Jordie put a little money into was A CHANGE IN THE SUGAR MARKET.

And of all the things Kaz might have been able to manipulate the market for to try and profit off Van Eck’s destruction at the start of crooked kingdom HE CHOSE SUGAR.

The failure of the Sweet Reef job doesn’t only represent, to Kaz, the foolishness at being hoodwinked by Rollins again that he describes as causing such anger within himself whilst at the Van Eck house but also LITERALLY REFLECTS AND PROBABLY SERVES AS A CLEAR CUT REMINDER OF THE HERTZOON SCAM. We know Kaz is a pretty big on poetic justice (see Fillip and the wind up dogs torture/murder, stealing from the bank that was involved in the scam, the use of Alby against Rollins, etc) and I can’t help but wonder if that’s what this was intended to be in his mind, but there’s also the possibility that this wasn’t an active decision he made and only occurred to him afterwards when he saw Rollins and had that strange “sense of doubling” and saw both situations and both failures so clearly reflected and
