Stealing from a base was never something that Soundwave particularly enjoyed doing, especially when they weren't sure of who's base it even was! But they needed fuel, and the scanners had said this place held plenty of it. So he'd snuck in, Breakdown waiting outside in altmode to be loaded up.

Quiet, quiet....every careful step of the pede could spell trouble if he made it too loudly.

The location was Earth, Diego Garcia, and it was around nighttime by the looks of things, so it was silent around the base.

However, there was one Autobot that was up, well...it wasn't like he had wanted to be, plagued by nightmares nearly every night because of his past and the many, many fights he had been involved in, Ironhide sighed a little as he lay on his back staring up at the ceiling, however as he lay there he thought he heard something, like...footsteps? Maybe one of the younger Autobots were deciding to be sneaky, but at this time of night? It could only mean them causing trouble for the humans, so he got up out his berth and opened the door to his quarters, walking out and looking around for the culprit.

Colossus approached the bridge of the Nemesis, ignoring the nervous glances he received from some Decepticons, that was normal, he was a bit feared by other Decepticons, well most of them anyway, he entered the bridge where he saw his leader and bowed his helm "Lord Megatron" he said "you summoned me?"

You know the film Who Framed Rodger Rabbit where humans and Toons live there together?

Imagine the sheer chaos to occur if any Transformers iterations landed on that type of Earth. No one knows who the fuck these giant robots are as they definitely aren't Toons. Meanwhile the bots can't help but be confused by these strange creatures living alongside the organics.

The Toons however see both factions as perfect targets for mischief. Starscream crashing into a wall via a super realistic painting, poor Optimus getting flowers full of dynamite or Bumblebee having multiple 'Kick Me I'm Fake' signs plaster on his bumper by Toon cars. Megatron feels like they landed in a looney bin as he fails to intimidate the 50th cartoon rat on the ship.

This probably lead to kidnapping a human cause no one is making progress when they're constantly getting menaced by law defying entities.

Oh man, the childhood nostalgia is so real here 🤣🤣

Look, the Toons would break the Autobots and the Decepticons. Cybertronians are not strangers to special powers, but beings that regularly defy all sense of laws in such a blase, hilarious manner without one ounce of logic yet yield so much damage?

The factions' respective medbays will be constantly full of mecha with processor crashes and circuit burnout. Soundwave, Prowl, and Red Alert will have to be put into long-term stasis for their mental and emotional health.

You want peace? Or a long-term armistice? Send in Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck as Trojan Horses.

There is no escape from their antics. Those creatures are everywhere.

Land. Sea. Air. Fucking space in a random astro-suit.

(Mechs would be driven mad trying to find who the hell is Marvin the Martian in any database. Including the Galactic Alliance.)

Even Megatron will break.

He will become hollow mech, desperate for respite, and beg for mercy. A new phobia for the fear of the sound of carrots being crunched and chewed would be implemented in their disorders. As well as Daffy's crazed laughter once they can reliably track it.

But the biggest kicker? All the humans would just chuckle or outright laugh at their declarations. Aliens? Really? Are you sure? What's the gimmick?

Many humans shake their heads, elbowing people around them because there's a new joke going around. Apparently, the Toons caught into the mecha anime explosion, so now they have sentient Gundams walking around with an epic battle of good versus evil.

(Que some Americans shouting things in Japanese. Some want to improve or keep up their language skills. Others just want to be dicks. It would be funnier if humans had so much experience picking out the robots in disguise from the Toons' general mayhem and shenanigans.)

The Toons know that those are real aliens but are too delighted by the sheer potential chaos of having fresh meat, ahem, new neighbors.

DPxDC and OOC

I've had a couple of posts cross my dash recently where people lament that a lot of the dpxdc fandom writes characters very OOC and how we're proliferating these characterizations among each other. I figured I'd add my own two cents.

I think the fundamental discrepancy comes from trying to reconcile two canons with vastly different tones.

Danny Phantom is a comedy superhero show operating on cartoon logic. Why do ghost experts Jack and Maddie never realize their own kid is a ghost? Why is the status quo restored at the end of every episode? Why does Danny shoot an ectoblast out of his butt that one time? Because it's funny. It's cartoony action fun where the plot is resolved in 22 minutes, there's never any lasting consequences and it's aimed at kids.

DC meanwhile wants to be taken Seriously. Heroes get beaten within an inch of their life, traumatized, killed and even the good guys do messed up things (often to each other). Yes there's action and puns, but also horrific violence, actions have consequences and it's (mostly) aimed at adults. When a main character dies the comics show their family and friends mourning and things are very dramatic. Even though at this point we, the audience can pretty much expect every death to be undone within 2-5 years of publishing, but I digress.

So how do we, the fanfic/fanart creators reconcile these differences when we make our crossovers? We either make DP more serious and somber, or we make DC more comedic.

Suddenly we have a DP verse where the Fentons' bumbling obliviousness is elevated to serious neglect or outright abuse. The GiW are no longer a minor annoyance, they are a serious threat with genocidal plans and a desire to vivisect the protagonist. When actions have consequences, we imagine Danny as dealing with serious PTSD from having to be a solo superhero and witnessing his family's death that one time (and maybe also getting vivisected). Danny is not just a teen superhero, he's now the Ghost King with serious responsibility on his shoulders.

On the flipside, if we make DC more comedic we tend to exaggerate character traits for comedic effect, focus more on the interpersonal dynamics (especially the Batfam) and have the characters act more casual and silly. Suddenly the Batfam goes from a group of seriously messed up individuals who have trouble communicating with each other and fight all the time to Batdad "Kids if you don't stop killing criminals you won't get dessert ffs" Bruce. Violence is played for laughs instead of taken seriously. Yeah they fight, but they still Love Each Other.

And THIS IS PERFECTLY FINE. It's transformative work! And trying to reconcile these disparate fandoms is hard! Fandom is a labor of love. We do it for free. We do it for our own entertainment. And no one is forcing you to read fics you don't like. DLDR and all that.

The last one you left alive after wiping out a swarm that tried to eat your mechs, he was mostly intact. Now he has a bunch of extra abilities to help you with all the things humans can't do. He's too well-trained and coded to attack at random, but he still makes most mechs uneasy. Loves humans. He's painted neon pink with bright yellow, green, and purple flowers. Looks like a demonic rooster. Comes up to about your knees, weighs about 25 pounds - much heavier than most scraplets, because of modified armor. Has a subspace pocket in his mouth where he carries things for you. Can "spit" items to you.

Barbie animated movie, but make it a crossover with horror games.

Barbie in the Silent Hill, where Barbie travels to the titular town and has to face off against her own demons in order to save herself and her best friend. She gets a majestic white dress during the fight against the final boss, defeating them/it before driving off with her friend.

Barbie and the Resident Evil, where Barbie has to work against the clock in order to save her town from a zombie invasion caused by the mysterious Umbrella, or something like that, I don't know much about RE as I wish I could. Or, alternatively, Barbie travels to a remote place in search of her missing little sister, and gets a new cute outfit to go alongside every new weapon she gets.

Barbie and the Clock Tower. I'm referencing mostly the 3rd game, where you literally gain a magical girl transformation in order to defeat the guy chasing you through the whole area. Barbie gets a fabulous dress to go alongside her bow and arrow.

Barbie: Five Nights at Freddy's, where Barbie decides to help out a friend by doing night guard duty for a week on her place, only to discover a conspiracy surrounding the friendly pizzaria. The movie's climax involves Barbie fighting against William Afton while wearing a cute night guard outfit she custom-made (it's bright pink, obviously), defeating him and then freeing the souls trapped in the animatronics.

Barbie Outlasts, where Barbie, an investigative reporter, decides to invade private property only to discover horrific human experiments. She now has to escape, but not before helping whoever she can on her way. I'm not well-versed on Outlast lore but I like to think she gets a cool hospital-themed dress as the authorities arrive on the location and she defeats the main guys behind... Everything going on at that place.

Barbie and Poppy Playtime, where Barbie notices her friend is missing and goes inside the Playtime Factory in order to find her. She and Poppy team up for the adventure, and Barbie ends up finding creative and harmless ways to defeat all the monster toys before finding her friend, calling the authorities and fleeing the place, thus freeing the monsters in the process.

Barbie: Dead By Daylight, where Barbie ends up sucked in the Entity's realm and must find a way to free her and all of her new friends. She ends up befriending some of the killers in the process, obtains THE spider-themed transformation of all time, and defeats the Entity with the power of friendship and sparkles.

Barbie and the Evil Within. I don't know anything about that game but it seems so well-loved by its players that I NEED someone who knows about it to tell me how Barbie would do her thing.

Writing the Oplita fancomic is like having bought a really nice Christmas gift for someone you really love. You want to give it right away, but you know you have to wait until the deadline because doing so is part of the hard work.

As I said in a previous post, the fancomic is set to air September 3 and it will update every Monday and Wednesday though I am getting as much filler done as possible. At least five pages will be aired all at once, but after that, only one page per air date.

It's also comedy that is shamelessly cartoonish and keep in mind that it is part of a shared universe of my own making that I call... the Saturday-verse because in the same world where we have Transformers, there are also many of the other Saturday Morning cartoon characters of the 80s like GI Joe, Barbie, Mr. Potato Head, Dungeons and Dragons, My Little Pony, the Care Bears, Popples and even Brave Star (such an underrated hero...).

However, after a lot of thought, I decided to leave out the Marvel heroes because I wanted the 80s heroes to shine here. Hey, Transformers DID crossover with GI Joe and My Little Pony before.

KawoShin week day 7 -- prompts: Kawotrio / Free

It's a Soul Eater crossover, bc it amused me to think about it 😁 In this verse, some people are literally weapons -- they physically transform into a sword / knife / scythe / etc so another person can wield them. Requires a high degree of sympathy & mental compatibility between partners ... unfortunately Shinji & Karl got off on the wrong foot & so they rarely fight together.

So like I had an idea for a Transformers crossover with TFA G1 TFP and Cyber verse. It will all take place in TFA. So far I'm still working out the concept but like here's the characters that will be showing up in TFA: for G1: Starscream Thundercracker Jazz and Ratchet TFP: Knockout and Ultra Magnus CyberVerse: Jetfire and Grimlock. Again working out some ideas here since well this seems kind of unbalanced.
