Uberhood (60) - Landgraab

Malcom Landgraab proposed to Marissa Cleveland during their fancy dinner date at Londoste in downtown.

Their wedding took place in spring and it was a big event nobody wanted to miss. Many high-carat sims were there like the Roths, Rutherfords, DeBateaus, Upsnotts etc.

Brittany Upsnott brought her friend, Heather Huffington, to the wedding with her and it seems like she met an eligible bachelor there. Armand DeBateau is still single and I'm struggling to find someone for him. Samantha Cordial married Gabriel Green, Kimberly Cordial married Geoff Rutherford and since Armand had such an awful marriage with Jessica Peterson I want him to be with someone he can grow old with. Sadly Heather Huffington isn't any better than Jessica in my game so I guess that's not an option.. they seem to get along tho. We'll see.

Toonami Weekly Recap 09/14/2024

Rick and Morty: The Anime EP#05 - Family: Rick realises Jerry's disappearance with a sword in the garage. Same is happened to Jerry Prime, and they are indeed transferred to the antiverse of Rick's dimension. They encounter Mr. Nimbus, who explains the sword seals the dark energy and fighting spirit of the planet inhabitants at the beginning of the series. Someday in the past, the sword was held by a Japan Yakuza group in the antiverse, which splited into two factions. Jerry showed up one day and retrieved the sword from the renegades, ending the faction war. He could do this because he once collapsed for his inability and let Rick train up his hero persona. Rick wiped off all his memories after he took the sword back home. Back to present, Jerry Prime decides to leave his sword to Jerry, which carries the sealed memories and revives his hero persona. When the Smith family and Elle travels to the antiverse, they join Jerry to fight off the renegades seeking revenge. The fight ends when the Yakuza leader couple shows up, who are impressed by the strength of the Smith family. Post-credits scene: Returning to the original universe, Rick wipes off all memories for the group, while Jerry Prime continues his lone adventure in Cronenberg dimension.

Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc EP#06 (50) - Aren't You Going to Become a Hashira?: When the four emotions do not disintegrate, Tanjiro informs Genya of a hidden fifth demon. Genya expresses jealousy towards him and declares he too shall defeat an Upper Rank, to which Tanjiro responds with encouragement. He and Nezuko fight off the demons while Genya finds the now minuscule Hantengu, but he fails to behead him before Sekido attacks. Believing he will die, Genya recalls his past; he and his family were frequently abused by his father, who was later killed. One night, a demon entered their house, killing all five of Genya's younger siblings before it was fought off by Sanemi. He later found him standing in front of their mother s body, who was the demon, and branded him a murderer in his grief. Genya laments dying without apologizing to Sanemi when Tanjiro saves him from Sekido. After Genya saves him from Aisetzu, Tanjiro goes after Hantengu.

Sailor Moon EP#24 - Naru's Tears: Nephrite Dies for Love: Nephrite continues to investigate Naru, not understanding that his crystal is sensing her love for him. Zoisite deduces the truth and orchestrates Naru's kidnapping to entrap Nephrite, ultimately resulting in Nephrite's death.

Sailor Moon EP#25 - Jupiter, the Powerful Girl in Love: Queen Beryl partially awakens the evil entity Queen Metalia before giving Zoisite his mission to find the human reincarnations of Seven Great Monsters to acquire their Rainbow Crystals, fragments of the Silver Crystal. Meanwhile, the tomboyish Makoto Kino transfers into Usagi's school and quickly falls for a crane-game whiz at the arcade who Zoisite targets. Makoto is revealed to be Sailor Jupiter.

Day 25: Unexpected Kiss [Reader x Gaara] {Naruto Shippuden}

Laying in a hospital bed, unable to tell waking from dreams, Gaara had all the time to come to terms with the fact that he had died. If it hadn't been for Lady Chiyo and Naruto, he would have never been able to... Even if it was for the safety of the village, Gaara lamented the idea that he wouldn't see you again.

The mental image of you weeping over his grave haunted him.

But Gaara had very little he could do about it at the moment. He was still here, still living... there was still time to tell you how he felt and what you meant to him. Not just a reliable shinobi, not just a trusted friend, but someone Gaara truly cared about... someone he...

If he had known you'd be let in, allowed to see him by yourself, Gaara would likely have thought about how to go about the first time you two would interact. He knew you would be just getting back from a lengthy mission, that you'd likely be told what happened. But when he saw you sitting there...

He thought he was dreaming.

"[Name]?" He reached out, even in his dreams you felt so real, "I'm glad you came to see me."

"Of course, Kazekage-sama." You snickered slightly, as the left-hand shinobi you were often privy to sensitive information, "I was told about your abduction and resurrection. But how are you feeling?"

"Much better with you here." He struggled to sit up, only just accepting help, "Though my joints are still a little stiff, despite the physical therapy I've been doing."

You hummed slightly, "Well, rigor mortis isn't exactly something that can be reversed easily. Is there any specific spot that I might be able to help ease the tension of?"

"Come a little closer please."

Confused, you leaned in. Following Gaara's beckoning even though it didn't make any kind of sense. It wasn't as if he needed to keep it secret, not when the two of you were completely alone.

But you were so thankful you were as Gaara hooked onto the back of your neck. Before you had more than three seconds to respond, his lips had crashed against yours hard.

For whatever reason, you were expecting to be hindered by his sand armor, but there was no trace of it. Maybe that was because Gaara hadn't been able to build up his chakra reserves, maybe he just dismissed it from around his mouth, maybe it didn't matter during intimate moments like this...

Though you were trying so hard to not lean onto him. As wonderful as it was to finally kiss the man you admired, you knew he was still injured and didn't need you falling on top of him. Not like this.

After what felt like an eternity, Gaara eased up. Soft, pointed breaths punctuated the moment, he was clinging to your sleeve so you couldn't pull away as readily. You couldn't help but stare into his light green eyes, wondering what in the world came over him to pull a stunt like that.

Even if you secretly deeply enjoyed it.

"I should have told you so much sooner." Gaara murmured, "How I feel about you, how much you mean to me. Just how badly I've been wanting to kiss you like that. I would do so over and over again... once you return of course."

Something deep in your mind broke, flooding your face with color and mixed emotions. He didn't even realize what he just did and now you'd have to break the news once he was in the proper state of mind.

Uppermoon 1- Kokushibo

I feel like Kokushibo would be a very traditional man seeing as he's over 400 years old.

He's definitely not one for short pecks, even if one of you had to be somewhere.

Kokushibo would prefer slow and passionate kisses, like the gentleman he is (ignoring the murder of course🤞).

Almost always asks before he kisses you. Something along the lines of, 'May I kiss you'.

Kokushibo puts a lot of passion into his kisses, he doesn't just give them out half-heartedly, he really puts his emotions behind it (or any emotions he has left).

He doesn't like teasing, he won't tease with his kisses and he doesn't want you to either. If you did he'd probably sulk for a while.

He's a lot more gentle than some of the Uppermoons however he can be rougher if either of you are feeling extra 'needy'.

Uppermoon 2- Douma

Unlike Kokushibo, Douma enjoys both short pecks and teasing kisses, however, occasionally Douma likes passionate ones.

If you're with him whilst he's with his followers, he does quick cheek kisses unless there's a follower that is particularly annoying, that's when he'll initiate longer kisses.

Douma is quite playful, in multiple ways, so often if the kisses are longer it'll lead to something else, unless you're in front of an annoying follower, that's when it'll have to wait. His followers aren't allowed to see you like that. Only Douma.

If you were an upper rank and you went to meetings with him, he'd often kiss you as if to 'show you off'. This only makes Muzan's hatred for Douma blossom but for the most part he won't do anything, Muzan is a lot more lenient with his Uppermoons. Just don't disturb the meeting too much.

Uppermoon 3- Akaza

Akaza isn't necessarily 'old fashioned' as such but he's certainly very respectful with his kisses.

We all know Akaza drinks woman respect juice on the daily and so he doesn't want to overstep any boundaries you may have.

He asks before he kisses you, just incase you didn't want him to.

He doesn't mind what type of kiss it is but he mostly prefers meaningful kisses that last for a while.

He would never kiss you in a meeting. We all know his respect and loyalty for Muzan is very high. He would see that as disrespectful.

I feel like he'd prefer to keep his kisses behind closed doors as he thinks it would make him seem vunerable.

The most PDA he'd show is a arm around your waist or shoulder, maybe a hand on your lower back.

Uppermoon 4- Hantengu + Clones

A very nervous kisser.

He's a very paranoid demon as seen in the meeting and when he appears in the village.

It takes a long time for him to kiss you in your relationship.

He gives quick pecks, never longer kisses.

There's not much to say about him, he doesn't often give kisses.

Sekido

Sekido is very angry by nature (obviously).

He prefers rough kisses, like extremely rough. I'm talking 'till your on the verge of passing out.

He doesn't care where you are or who is around you, he'll kiss you anywhere and in front of everyone.

Soft kisses don't exist with him, he is the incarnation of rage and those transfer into his kisses, that doesn't mean he doesn't love you, you won't find him fawning over anybody else.

Urogi

Urogi's kisses are definitely fun.

You'll never know when, where or how he's going to kiss you. They range from short pecks, to long and gentle kisses, to hunger-filled and fiery kisses.

He doesn't have a favourite place to kiss you, just whatever is exposed at the time. Neck, lips, cheek, collarbone, forehead... you get the idea.

Doesn't care who's watching, he'll kiss you in front of his brothers with no shame.

Will definitely take you in the air with him to kiss you.

Uses his ability to find high up spots with great views to kiss you at.

Karaku

Karaku loves teasing you with kisses, the ones that leave you wanting more.

He finds it funny when he kisses you in front of his brothers, especially Sekido. Sekido's anger makes the kisses more enjoyable he thinks.

If his brothers annoy him he'll just make them feel like Urogi as he sends them flying through the air.

Massive fan of giving hickeys. Fight me.

Aizetsu

His kisses are very soft and gentle, they definitely last for a while.

He isn't a fan of quick kisses, he doesn't feel they convey his full love for you, he doesn't feel any sort of kiss could convey even a fraction of his love for you.

The only time he'll do quick pecks is if you've just woken up (demon or not) even so they'll be followed shortly with a longer one, or, if you're asleep (or falling asleep), he'll press a quick one to your forehead or nose.

He doesn't tend to kiss you in public, if he gets insecure or jealous for any reason he'll quickly kiss your cheek but as soon as you're in private he won't stop kissing you, the only time he stops is if you need to take a breather. He'll just start again after though.

Gyokko

Gyokko definitely leaves green kiss stains all over you, whether he's wearing lipstick or not.

He'll proudly parade you round with them. He'd be very happy if you wore lipstick and returned the favor, he calls it artwork.

Would definitely co-ordinate your kiss marks into his pot designs.

Would gladly show off the lipstick marks in Uppermoon meetings, Muzan doesn't mind too much. Gyokko's pots bring in good money, he likes Gyokko.

Gyokko likes short but repeated kisses. He likes to kiss you with one of his mouths and then quickly switches to the other over and over.

Not one for longer kisses.

Gyutaro

As soon as Gyutaro realises you actually like him and you aren't just making fun of him, there's no stopping his kisses.

Marks you EVERYWHERE. He's got someone he considers second most gorgeous (not as much as his sister of course) and he isn't letting anyone else even second guess if you're single or not.

Inexperienced but that won't stop him.

His kisses are a mix of everything.

He likes to go from kissing your lips, down to your jaw and then neck and then collarbone ect.

His rougher kisses are when he's jealous and his softer ones are when he's feeling insecure so you get a fair bit of both.

Daki

Daki likes cheek kisses. Just short cheek kisses.

Not a fan of anything else really, she likes to keep things quick and simple.

The Goths got away with many proclamations, laws, and raises in taxation in the years they had ruled over the land. While they bled their citizens dry, they used the funds to live a lavish life that starkly contrasted that of the everyday Pendite. Beautiful clothes, handmade furniture, the best ingredients for the most luxurious meals. But most of all to fund their army and prepare to conquer more land. The Goths had ambitious dreams of creating one of the most powerful nations in the world. By force. So, they thought little of how their own citizens viewed them. Just as they did the rest of the world. They especially never even considered that the poor, downtrodden Pendites would revolt against them. How could they when they barely had enough to survive?

But, the Goths underestimated the people of Pendula View. Each day, the revolution grew as more and more villages joined. Farmers, carpenters and bards alike became soldiers training to fight. Old laws like how to dress and curfews were broken. Soon, the refusal of goods and services like crops and housekeeping, and even taxes. It was getting harder to suppress what was happening and The Goths were running out of ideas.

Lord Crumplebottom: All I want to know is how I can protect my family. I'm sure it won't be long until the rebels target the wealthy.

Mortimer: Bah! I wouldn't be concerned about that. I have yet to see them even think about such a thing!

Lord Crumplebottom: But they are preparing, so we must be prepared! Your soldiers can only make them fear you so much. It's becoming less effective. Plus, you can't contain them all!

Lord Landgraab: And why not?

Lord Crumplebottom: Because not every poor is a rebel. Some are our farmers and maids and still want to work! We can't keep them from their service. Do you expect us to tend to the crops, chores and the children?

Lord Landgraab: Needn't you worry about my soldiers. They have strict orders and can identify who is and is not apart of this abomination. What we need to focus on is funding more weapons.

Mortimer: More? But we've just acquired a large shipment from Vernick and Viridis! Not to mention Druzar. We cannot ask for more aid. I'm afraid our enemy countries might catch on and begin aiding to the rebels. I'm sure Whitmore, Armorica, Trenton and Pierreland would all love to see us fall.

Lord Landgraab: Afraid? Since when are you afraid, Morty? We must show strength at a time like this! We can't finally start our plan to conquer other nations if all our weapons are tied up in some civil war! Certainly, you can use your connections with Druzar to ask for more.

Mortimer: Absolutely not. My sister may be the Queen, but the more I use her, the weaker I and Pendula View looks in her eyes. And therefore, in the King's. We need to be strategic about using them to our advantage.

Lord Crumplebottom: Did you say civil war? I knew we never should've gotten into this mess in the first place. You've pushed the peasants too far! My poor wife has just been beside herself worrying that the maid will leave her for the rebellion.

Footsteps approaching

Bella angry: That's enough!

Bella angry: To think men the likes of you help lead this country! You sound no better than a woman with your whining and your inability to come to a resolution.

Lord Crumplebottom nervous: Y- Your Almighty Excellency, I-

Lord Landgraab nervous: Your Almighty Excellency, there's no need-

Bella: Oh, there is indeed no need! No need for a general to ever question his King! If Mortimer says no more aid, then that is final. Make it work with what you have.

Lord Landgraab: Yes, Your Almighty Excellency.

Bella: You men have one duty and that is to support my husband wholeheartedly! Especially with the ton. All this bickering is nonsensical and is of no use. We must act.

Bella: Well... as always, I try not to waste a frown on political matters and save that for you men. But it's obvious that what we're doing now isn't working. We can't just sit back and watch them form an army against us. If they want war, we have to give it to them.

The Toonami Trending Rundown for the month of July 2024. During these past few weeks, fans got to enjoy the final two episodes of My Adventures with Superman season 2, among other great moments. And as July is the month of San Diego Comic-Con, Toonami viewers got to enjoy some big announcements in regard to several upcoming shows.

During the night of the airing of the penultimate episode of My Adventures with Superman season 2 on July 13-14, #MyAdventuresWithSuperman would trend on the USA on Twitter, while One Piece trended on Tumblr. And during the night of July 20-21, where we saw the season 2 finale of My Adventures with Superman, #Toonami would trend in the US alongside #MyAdventuresWithSuperman and #NarutoShippuden. #Toonami also trended on Tumblr. The night of July 27-28 did not see any trends, as Toonami showcased a MAWS marathon of season 2 during SDCC week.

As for Toonami Rewind, #ToonamiRewind would trend in the US during the broadcasts of July 12, 19, and 26, though on July 19, Sailor Moon and Naruto would also trend in the US, while Naruto also trended on Tumblr. Which isn’t bad, especially considering that on July 26, both the Olympics opening ceremony and Comic-Con were occurring at the same time.

As mentioned, San Diego Comic-Con took place at the end of July, and in case you missed it, Toonami fans got to enjoy several announcements during the convention. The big news was that we got a brand-new show announcement in Rooster Fighter by Shū Sakuratani.

Adult Swim announced that the English dubbed version of Rick and Morty: The Anime will premiere on Thursday August 15 @ midnight EDT/PDT, while the Japanese (with English subtitles) version will air on Toonami on Saturday, August 17 @ midnight.

Also, towards the end of the Rick and Morty panel, Jason DeMarco also revealed that we finally have a release date for Junji Ito’s Uzumaki after several years of delays: September 28, 2024 at 12:30 a.m., following premiere episodes of Rick and Morty: The Anime. Back during Anime Expo 2024, the Uzumaki cast was revealed by Production I.G, with Abby Trott as Kirie Goshima and Robbie Daymond as Shuichi Saito. In addition, Lazarus, the newest work of Shinichiro Watanabe, will be scheduled to premiere in 2025.

Finally, during the Demon Slayer panel on Saturday night, Aniplex announced that Demon Slayer’s third season, the Swordsmith Village arc, will begin airing on Toonami this August 10.

Meanwhile, for those who have been wanting to see more Lycoris Recoil, it’s been announced during the show’s second anniversary program that there are six short films in the works, that will depict the daily lives of Chisato, Takina, and others in the LycoRico cast. While Director Shingo Adachi will return in supervising, each of the six movies will feature different people handling direction and storyboarding, including character designer Imigimuru will be in charge of some of the scripts. A release date is to be announced.

Of course, this won’t be the end of My Adventures with Superman, as DC is hard at work creating the show’s third season, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we’ll have the trending rundown for the first few weeks of August, including the premiere of Demon Slayer's Swordsmith Village arc and the premiere of Rick and Morty: The Anime, out in the coming days, as with other articles and interviews from San Diego Comic-Con coming soon. Honestly I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or hot take or whatever, but Rick Sanchez is closer to being morally grey than Catra. Now don't get me wrong, he's definitely NOT morally grey, his morality is dark, but a morally grey character is someone who doesn't do enough good to be overall good, but not enough bad to be overall bad. That's why it's called morally grey. Now let's look at Rick, he's done a lot of bad (Killing people, emotionally abusing Morty, etc., etc.,) BUT he's also done a lot of good (Saving the world, killing Mr. Jellybean, being protective of Morty, helping Mortys escape the citadel when Evil Morty destroyed it, etc., etc.,) and is shown to feel gulit for his actions at times (Look at the season 4 and season 5 finale and air force wong) So while his morality is pitch dark, I can see why he may be considered morally grey, even the show called him a chaotic neutral (Which I dont think is accurate but whatever)

Now lets look at Catra, Catra has done a lot of bad (abusing Adora, burning down villages, being willing to destroy the world so Adora wouldn't win, drugging Adora, killing Angella, etc., etc,.) andddd not a lot of good, really the only good she did is help save the world, but still, she doesn't feel gulit for her actions, and even then her morality is still pitch dark. Now Rick is definitely worse than Catra, he has done more good than her, but he's a lot older than her and the bad stuff he does overweighs the good, but he's probably closer to being morally grey than Catra.

Okay, that’s just cool.

Youtube is throwing random D&D related videos at me, and it recommended this year old video from Esper the Bard talking about cool 3/3.5e undead monsters that didn’t make the transition to 5e (in a lot of cases because they do damage to stats, I’m guessing). And one of them, the Boneyard, from the sourcebook Libris Mortis, is so cool.

Lorewise, it does have some similarities to 5e’s Gallows Speaker, in that it’s an undead that results from the combined dead of mass graves and charnel sites, but instead of a spectral combination, the Boneyard is a physical one. It’s, as it sounds like, a writhing mass of bones animated by the combined spirits of those who died.

And. I might be biased. Because that’s very similar to a Japanese Gashadokuro, and a gashadokuro was the star creature of an absolutely amazing Mushishi/Mononoke crossover fic I read called Dust & Bones by 7PhoenixAshes which made absolutely stunning creepy use of it. But. It’s such a cinematic monster, and one that comes with the story damn near pre-written for you.

The Boneyard is a creature born of massacres and charnel pits, mass graves and the dead left to rot unburied. It’s the dead of famines, the dead of plagues, the dead of genocides, the dead of battlefields left to moulder untended. A lot of undead have their backstory built into the fact of their existence, they’re great that way. And, as a D&D monster, it has an absolutely terrifying ability where if it manages to grapple you, and you’re still grappled next turn, it can start liquifying and absorbing your bones. Make them part of itself. It’s a writhing formless (but often serpentine) mass of bones animated by the massed souls of a great injustice, and it will pin your down and make you part of it.

That’s so easy to set up as an absolutely terrifying and creepy boss battle. (This thing was CR 14). Like. You can set that scene so easily. Twenty years ago there was a massacre in this village, or a famine, or a plague, and their greatest secret and shame was that the dead were never properly buried, whether deliberately, in the case of the massacre, or because there were too few left to be able to bury them, in the case of the famine or plague, and the bodies were instead thrown down a ravine or buried jumbled together in a pit, anything to get them out and away from the survivors. Now, twenty years on, animals and eventually people have started vanishing out by the ravine. People in the village hear bones rattling in the night. And they would get help, they need to get help, but getting help means admitting what happened back then. Admitting what was never laid to rest. So the villagers, at least the older ones, are being cagey with the party. Trying to skirt around it.

And then they get out there, to this strange, mist-shrouded dip in the ground. There’s bones lying scattered on the surface, even twenty years down the line. So many were thrown here that animals couldn’t scavenge them all. The ground is littered with bones.

And then, up ahead, they hear something alive. Someone alive. They hear a faint, reedy voice crying in agony. And it is. It is alive. It’s a person, a poor bastard of a traveller or merchant who no one warned not to come this way, and they’re gravely injured, but they’re frantically waving the party away. Not closer. They’re waving the party away.

And then there’s a rattling, the sound of bones rolling together in the mist around them. The wounded traveller’s eyes widen in raw terror. They attempt to shout out a warning, but a mass of bones shaped almost like a hand suddenly slams down over them from the mist behind them. A vast hulking shape looms out of the fog. Leans down over its pinned prey. And eats its bones.

Roll initiative.

Because. See. You want them to be wary of the bones. You want them to know something’s out here. You want to have that moment of surprise, the sudden horror looming out of the mist. But I think you also want them to know that the bone-eating thing is on the table. You want them to know that risk going in, you want them to know that they absolutely cannot, under any circumstances, let themselves get grabbed. You want that up front, so the fear of it is right there, so it shapes their tactics, and also so they can see it without having to deploy it on your players first. This thing is an absolutely lethal boss monster, and you want them to know that so they can plan accordingly, and also so they can be appropriately terrified of it, without having it feel unfair that the first time they know it can happen is when one of them dies to it.

(In 3/3.5, this did stat damage to all three of your physical stats, so it took a couple of turns to kill you, but it would kill you, and would be absolutely horrific the entire time. You’d have to jig this so it wasn’t doing stat damage for a 5e conversion, but the visuals should convey most of the horror, even if it winds causing less immediate and comprehensively lethal damage).

But. What a cinematic monster. Its backstory is already pre-baked for you, and you have an absolutely terrifying threat of an ability to alert the party to for them to plan around. And, if they’re a bit too low level for this, or just very melee oriented, the plan should absolutely be run. Just nope the fuck out, right now. And maybe go back and have a conversation with the village about what the fuck happened twenty years ago, and maybe you could have warned us, and maybe seek a less combat-oriented way to ease this horrifying creature past the shackles of undeath.

There were ten monsters in that video, and some of the others are cool, but this one just grabbed me. Some of that may be bias, that Mushishi/Mononoke fic made me very very fond of the gashadokuro and similar creatures as a concept, but as a high level undead who’s terrifying but also not some stripe of spellcaster, I do feel like it’s really, really cool.

Not something you could easily use in 5e, given that stat damage isn’t really a thing, and for good reason, Shadows and Intellect Devourers aside, but … something that emphasises ‘do NOT let this thing grab you, you will die’. Something that forces them to work out how to stay the fuck away from it and still bring it down, or makes them fully back out and try to work another way to lay these massed tormented souls to rest.

Also, what a fantastic plot line to have threaded through. What did happen twenty years ago? Was it an isolated incident, confined to a village in a mountain pass that got snowed in and did horrifying things to survive a murderous winter? Or was it a symptom of some much bigger part of your worldbuilding, an event that sowed mass graves across vast swathes of the land, and left thousands of guilty survivors to skirt carefully around the lingering horrors ever since?

Definitely one of the coolest parts of undead as monsters is that their sheer existence has plot and backstory built in. Especially a lot of D&D undead, because they’re so specific. Very specific things had to happen to produce a gallows speaker, or a boneless, or a deathlock, or a coldlight walker. And it does, it does remind me of Mononoke. What is this creature’s Form, Truth, and Regret? And how does the party interact with that?

(I mean. With a fireball. Repeated fireballs. Preferably from like 150ft feet in the air. Nuke it from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure. But. In the event you don’t have that option. Turn Undead is also riskier than usual, because it has pretty high mental scores, it’s an intelligent undead, it has a decent chance of making saves. I nearly would pull it on a lower level party, so they can’t fight it outright and have to work with its backstory. Lay it to rest like a normal ghost, by resolving the crime that led to its existence in the first place)

Anyway. That was a long diversion. But. Very cool monster? Thank you, Esper the Bard, for letting me know D&D did a gashadokuro back in the day, and did it in very cool (and rather cruel) fashion.

some questions about jujutsu I would appreciate it if you could answer me. 1. do you think megumi and itadori are a comparison to geto and gojo? 2. What do you find most tragic about geto and gojo's relationship? 3.if geto didn't exist, who would you ship gojo with? ps; I would ship toji and gojo.

Answering these out of order to hide spoilers!

3. If Geto didn't exist, I would ship Gojo with Nanami. Nanami would be bothered 600% of the time.

2.Most tragic is the fact that, while Gojo always looked at Geto's soul and accepted him unconditionally, Geto thought their relationship was over the moment he chose to leave Jujutsu High and they never reconciled this disparity while living. If you want an exhaustive list of the things that rot my brain and prevent me from remembering basic things like my childhood and the Pythagorean theorem, please, feel free to read this recently updated and ongoing list. 😭

Lastly, yes, I think ItaFushi are meant to be a parallel to SatoSugu. See below for why!

The comparison isn't perfect but I don't know that it's meant to be.

I feel like I reference Naruto a lot for having not seen it but I'm pretty sure it's a solid example of the generational failures of the Uchiha clans and the Hidden Leaf Village as overcome by Sasuke and Naruto, respectively.

I think that JJK could be a circular story (check out the Rick & Morty progression, in particular) and that SatoSugu and ItaFushi seem to run as parallels. To simplify, we'll break it up by the OG for parallels:

SATORU

and Megumi (he got blue eyes when he's supposed to have green.. 💎👄💎)

Born of Jujutsu royalty with a familial technique

Familial technique damns them to a burden of responsibility. Gojo became the head of the Gojo clan, Megumi is bought and sold but effectively abdicates his place with the Zenin

When given the chance, relents to leverage the value of his cursed technique to protect others that they deem deserving. Gojo protects Megumi, Yuta and Yuji; Megumi protects Tsumiki and later, Yuji.

In spite of the above, will execute their responsibilities of a sorcerer but will also pick and choose if they will do something outside of that obligation. Think back to Megumi's moral judgement when it came to those in the detention center and Gojo's willingness to act outside of direct orders because... he could.

Just leaving the visual evidence of these little weirdos

and Yuji

The Sun characters but not without shadow.

Blessed births, even though Yuji's was... untraditional, it forged him as a powerful vessel with inhuman strength without a heavenly restriction.

Anomalous strength. Gojo for Six Eyes and Limitless which haven't been seen together in one user in over 100 years. Yuji is able to produce Black Flashes at will and at a rate which is canonically uncommon.

Experienced death and rebirth which brought about change in them. Gojo found enlightenment; Yuji, while in hiding, experienced loss, the tragedy of which marked him noticeably.

They both know the alienation of greatness. Both undergo power ups shattering the ceiling of their previously understood power thresholds and go beyond the comprehension or without the knowledge of their counterparts. Gojo, I think, knew that it would foundationally upset something between he and Geto. Yuji probably just thinks he is getting acclimated to the new world he finds himself within and doesn't realize how insane his glow up has been.

Guilt for not being able to save someone "close to them". Gojo, obviously, with Geto and Yuji with Junpei, initially, but that list has grown. Exponentially.

SUGURU

and Megumi

The Moon characters but they have something worth fighting for that gives them an air of light.

Both believe in and will act on behalf of the weak. Geto believes the strong should protect the weak and keep the strong in check. Megumi believes that if someone cannot observe the basic tenet of don't kill me, I won't kill you, he should exact punishment whether the person infringed on this basic law with him or not.

Despite their code, they still develop or have a discerning application of their morals.

But what happens when that morality is tested? Geto realizes the weak are capable of harm when he discovers the abuse of Nanako and Himiko. Megumi, if he hasn't already, will eventually come to understand that saving Yuji came at the cost of countless lives, including that of Tsumiki, in a way, even if she died by his own hand.

Know intimately the loss of someone they were close with only to find that person returned to them.. but different.

Feeling left behind by the power ups of their counterparts, they are left to their own devices. Notably, Geto spirals into depression and PTSD, Megumi, citing the difference, asks Gojo for additional lessons so he doesn't fall behind.

Doomed by the narrative? or at least by their power. Kenjaku covets Geto's body for the hold it has over Gojo and, possibly, the cursed technique that enabled him to espouse Mahito and Tengen's techniques. Sukuna covets Megumi for Ten Shadows.

Subsequently, both are possessed by something that easily outclasses them but they still are able to rebel when fighting against their counterparts. Geto's corpse strangles Kenjaku in Shibuya; Megumi manipulates how much cursed energy is output when Sukuna fights against Yuji.

Both of them recognize that, despite their counterpart's strength, they are still deserving of concern and worry. This is likely informed by the knowledge of their own weakness and inability to protect.

and Yuji

Outsiders to jujutsu society

Get their power/strength from ingesting something unholy; curses or cursed relics. Either way, both seem to beg the question of how long one can you these things before it poisons something within you?

Earnestly want to help people with a martyr mentality. The idea being, if I am the only one with this power then it's my responsibility to do something; Geto with his role as a sorcerer and Yuji as the only person who can consume Sukuna

Subsequently damned by this noble desire. Geto finds that the sacrifice is no longer palatable after the sacrifices of Riko and Haibara and the abuse of Nanako and Himiko. Yuji experiences survivors' guilt for every slight Sukuna is able to inflict while he continues to live.

A pattern of failure to protect (Riko and Junpei) followed by the loss of a companion (Haibara and Nanami, and what a way for their deaths to mirror one another...) as an impetus for great change in their characters.

The wealth of their goodness has the potential to cause just as big a vacuum of negativity when they break. Arguably this is what pushes the invisible hand that guides the events that radicalizes Geto and informs Mahito's insistence to break Yuji's soul.

Speaking of souls - this idea of their soul's in particularly. Gojo seeing and recognizing Geto's. Mahito feeling the edge of Yuji/Sukuna's soul. We see that Sukuna can aim attacks at Megumi's soul but... why did the goodness in Geto's persist for Gojo to love him unconditionally? How did Yuji's soul withstand external attacks from Mahito and internal attacks from Sukuna?

Where SatoSugu's fatal flaw was hubris, we don't see that with ItaFushi and that, perhaps, is the biggest indication that they're correcting the faults of their forebears while also suffering the repercussions of their failure.

Gege Akutami could absolutely have the whole story end in flames, don't get me wrong. I would 10,000% be invested to the very last page. There's no guarantee that this is a circular story, that any of these characters find peace or that any of them even survive but I can't help but see the similarities, at least as far these four are concerned.
