Things I can do now that I’m done with my PhD: get back to writing about Keith absolutely hating being in 1773.

‘One if by Land’ chapter 4 has two more scenes to go until it’s ready, and it’s already at 12.5k words :3 While you wait, why not re-read chapters 1-3?

Okay. So an idea hit.  A VF AU where before Daniel is corrupted and compromised, Katie arrives at the castle. But different from other AUs, this one isn’t where Katie is Pidge’s kid sister. Nope. She’s straight up his kid.  Katie has come from the future to try and prevent Daniel from being compromised because it does not bode well for her time. How bad is it? Well, her parents are killed by Daniel and he’s a majour threat to the universe. So, she has to stop things from happening.  And here? Katie has reached her destination and though she has a mission, she sees Pidge and she can’t help herself. She rushes over to hug him, missing her father greatly.  Of course, she won’t tell him who she really is right away, but still.  And she knows he’s not yet the man who is her father, but she still wants to hug him. She misses him so much.

Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy this one. It’d definitely make for a fun AU.  Well, until next time!

Rewriting The Past

Keith pov: Arus is gone. A planet, like many others, destroyed completely by the Drule Empire Great War. Killing numerous people that it cannot possibly be fathomed by any mind. Ruling that dreadful Drule Empire is King Lotor, a fierce leader who spares no one, not even allies or soldiers who have failed him. The only soul who barely escaped being killed by his majesty’s hand is the right man, Maahoxs. One, and only reason he lands himself into safety, is that he is the only one able to create what Lotor wishes for battle. His deep knowledge and understanding of Haggarium is the key to their so far success. Transforming normal soldiers to deadly beasts from that vile violet bright liquid. The deadliest among those infected is Lotor’s right most ‘trusted’ soldier…Chaos. A brilliant soldier that knows Voltron’s weakness, our normal strategies, and is too chaotic to figure out what they would do next. Flash to a small planet, far off Drule’s map, where the resistance hides and plans. The main power force in the resistance, letting the innocent have a chance to live, is the Voltron Force. The leader of the team and the resistance as a whole is Keith. He sighs to himself, as he leans back in the chair, deep in thought. Mind going through every that has happened because of this great war. ‘This was supposed to be a time of peace, a new era. One with a new black lion pilot…Daniel.’ A sad smile across his face before tears rolls down his face, ‘It was torture for all of us to see Lotor take Daniel’s bloody broken body. He came out of nowhere, but we all should have known that he would never stay dead. Daniel fought so hard to fight back against…and the Haggarium infection. But not even Daniel was strong enough to survive that long fight with the infection taking over his mind and body.’ The painful memories cause Keith to dig into his arm, almost making it bleed. More tears fall out of his eyes. ‘If only I did things differently, then maybe Daniel would have trusted us…me about his Haggarium infection. This would have never happened in the first place. Larmina and Vince apparently knew the whole time. They explained that Daniel thought he would kick off the force if we found out. We never really treated the cadets as members of this team, I know that now. We never allowed them to attend meetings or anything planning, leaving them in the dark without a clue of what they will be thrown into. Being forced to act like adults in a war but treated like children by everyone around. I thought since they were kids we shouldn’t put them through every part of that war, let them enjoy life. How foolish I was, we expected them to act like adults when most of the time we treated them like children. I was blind. I wish I could go back and change that.’ A loud alarm sounds, red flashing lights flickers. This pulls Keith out of his thoughts. He jumps out of his seat. Running to the black lion. The final stand to turn the tide of the war is upon them. Five lions fly into the air with surrounding ships of many kinds following them to battle. Quickly, they all fly to Earth. Finding Earth in its middle of its destruction. The Drule Army is destroying everything in sight…just as the resistance thought would happen. Luckily, they have a plan. If it fails there is no more hope for victory. This can not fail.

Part two of my POV outsider Klance time travel series! Summary under the cut

Allura fell out of a pod mere movements ago and into the arms of a boy with strange ears. Discovering she had been asleep for lifetimes, her planet and people gone, and that she was now a princess of nothing could have put her into a depressive spiral, but she has never been one to think about the past for long. Instead she gives the humans the lions (because the lions have already chosen their paladins from among this group) and hopes she isn’t making a mistake.

She isn’t. In fact, they adapt remarkably well. This could have been expected from Shiro, who had lived in Galra captivity for phoebs, but Keith and Lance slide into life as paladins as though they’ve done it before.

They haven’t, of course, but sometimes she wonders if the spirits of the previous paladins reside in their bodies.

thank u so much for ur voltrons post omfg sorry if I sound incoherent I just got back from getting my titties removed but Voltron was so fucking funny to me as some1 who watched it as like, the target demographic when it premiered (L for me) bc it was like watching the entire internet sling shit at each other over fucking doritos. The show was so fucking bad and disconnected that when it was finally coming to an end, every subset of fans the show conglomerated had an entirely different theory for what was gonna happen and it always ended with one of those crusty shits giving kissys to each other for gay rights or something. Im realizing I'm talking more abt the fans now than the actual show but like.. That's basically just what Voltron is nobody remembers the plot. I tried rewatching it a year ago to giggle abt it w my buddies and I fell asleep almost immediately.

I think anyone, who was like cool, stopped watching the show in s4 (and if not that, then they stopped watching in s1.) bc s4 was where (iirc) they had the characters travel to an AU <3 where the genocide-surviving colonized Alien race was (gasp) actually the colonizers!! None of the voltronnies talk abt this bc that would require cool people (of coler) to care abt voltron. I wish I could give more context to ur voltron post but its such a soulless nothingness like ur spot on its just an exercise in marketing. If i kept listing all the things that I rmbred abt Voltron it would contribute nothing u couldnt already guess. Why was Steven Yeun a voice actor for that show I feel so bad L. i hope your surgery went well!!! and lmfao yeah i didn’t watch past s1 bc the writing was just so bad and painfully boring, but WHAT????? i do not trust those fucking clowns to explore the hypothetical wherein colonized subjects also operate as colonizers under different conditions, because like, obviously many populations have both been colonizers and colonized throughout history and victimhood is not an ontological state of being, but considering the absolute dogshit quality of that show’s writing and the racism seeping out of every pore of their narrative and respective characterizations of the main ensemble, that does NOT seem like an issue they could ever remotely handle with even a modicum of nuance or poise. and im sure they don’t. apparently the only season i saw was the best season??? because i remember at the time ppl saying it was good and a worthy successor to lok (lol. lmfao even) and just being like “um…… am i missing smth here?” no. turns out i wasn’t missing anything. it was just bad from start to finish. many such cases.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Probably Formalities? But all of them are pretty tooth-rotting...

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes, but it's always slow burn smut with feelings (hi, I'm ace).

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? The soapghost Punisher AU I'm working on with @kibagib - You're my mask, you're my cover, my shelter - is basically co-written. Kiba gives me the outline for what they want to happen in the scene, and I write it out, adding my own flare here and there. It's been so much fun to work together to bring Kiba's visions to life!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? As much as I love soapghost, I think sheith will always have my heart.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? So far, I've finished or am actively working on all my WIPs... 😯 I do have an idea for a soapghost inter-dimensional-travel, angst-with-a-bittersweet ending fic, but that one hasn't gotten past outline phase. That's the closest I have to a fic I might never finish. (This fic would also win "angstiest ending," btw.)

16. What are your writing strengths? I think I write dialogue and emotions/introspection pretty well.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I struggle with descriptions - they are often what I "add in" during the editing phases. I'm also a VERY SLOW writer, which is why it takes so long to update sometimes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I don't do it unless I have a native speaker willing to help me with the translation. Otherwise, it's just English but in italics. LOL

19. First fandom you wrote for? Dragon Age (long ago with a different user name)

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? I love them all, but my first sheith fic - In Sunshine and in Shadow - will always be special to me because it helped me process that atrocious VLD ending.

Here it is! My first weekly Friday Klance fic since I’m getting back to writing!

Though it’ll be more like every other week for the next little bit since I have my sister’s wedding next week and some camping trips and travel plans over the next couple of weeks!

Anyways, it’s also my first time writing a fic that actually takes place in their universe (although pretending the seasons past like season 2 or 3 don’t exist) vs my normal alternate universe fics! Let me know in the comments of the fic whether you guys generally read/write AUs or canon universe fics!

(Voltron) AU⁉️⁉️

Again, another au that’s been stuck in my head for the past month, GOD I love the fandoms I’m in even though I finished voltron a year ago. Also happy Easter if you celebrate it

This isn’t like a basic “human different” au where lance is altean and Keith is galra, but..

what if Lance was a Sun god (that’s just an orange glowing body with yellow eyes/mouth/stars in others on his body but you can tell its him because of his hair and flirtatious self) named “Theósílios”, while Keith is the moon god (purple/blue body with blue eyes/mouth/stars, but you can tell its him by his long blue (mullet) and a lighter version of blue scar across his face), named “Selínitheós”.

Lance (in that form) has a raging crush on Keith, but can barely visit him due to the orbits and the gods not allowing them, so he flirts with whenever it’s morning time, and that’s why you can see the moon in the morning, because it’s Lance talking to him and he has to put him in the light. Of course, Keith denies that he likes Lance back, but he really does care for him, becoming defensive of him over meetings and Lances flirting, making the stars curious on their relationship.

And once a year, Keith will travel down to earth in his human form to check up on everything, and Lance will come down to earth in his human form, but since Lance (“can recognize that mullet and scar anytime and anywhere”) always finds Keith, they end up spending time together until they are forced back into their godly positions.

And god, how much Keith waits for that day every single year, just to dance with Lance on earth and not be restricted by the gods like on a solar eclipse. He says he’s annoyed with lance every time he flirts with him, but in reality, he can’t handle it without bursting out into a raging blush.

“..So you’re saying we could be together in another universeeeee?”

“I- I didn’t.. I didn’t mean it like that!”

So, the time travel au had an idea. TWINS. But instead of Katie and Chip, it’s Katie and Shorty (DotU Pidge/GoLion Hiroshi). And they’re close friends with Vince and Daniel. And they know that the twins aren’t human. 

Anyway! Here we go! A couple of shots! And Pidge, from the future, has discovered someone else is piloting “his” mech. And that it’s been repainted.  @breadstickcat suggested that they painted it with flames. And you know what? Daniel and Shorty totally would paint flames on it.  Well, Pidge is pissed. He thinks they stole his mech, they vandalized it, he is not a happy camper.
