Did Carol visit Earth, and if so, when?
So in Wandavision, we learned that Monica has some sort of resentment towards Carol. When her name is brought up, Monica seems a little frustrated and somewhat eager to change the subject. And in Ms. Marvel, we learn that several people are under the impression that Carol completely abandoned Earth. This adds on to the common theory that Monica is upset with Carol because she is under the impression that Carol completely abandoned the Rambeaus, even during the time where Maria was dying. And to be completely fair, if Monica is under this impression, that means Carol really didnt visit for quite some time, but did she visit during the blip?
We know that Monica was dusted, but Maria was not. Meaning that Monica would be completely unaware if Carol visited in the five years that she was dusted. We also see in the new trailer for The Marvels (which you should totally watch btw) that Carol has 3 pictures hung up on a corner of her ship. A picture of a random canyon (which is possibly somewhere important to Carol), a picture of Maria, and a newspaper clipping talking about Monica. How did Carol get this newspaper clipping? Nick Fury most certainly didn't bring it with him when we see him leave at the end of Secret Invasion, so where Would Carol have gotten it? She would have had to have gone down to Earth herself and gotten it. And if Monica doesn't think Carol's visited since the events of Captain Marvel, that means that Carol would have visited during the events of the blip, visiting Maria, possibly even with her in her last moments.
I'm confident that this will be a topic that's explored in The Marvels, perhaps we'll learn how often Carol visited Maria, When she first visited, or how she reacted when she leared than Monica was dusted. We'll have to wait and see
TLDR: Monica thinks Carol didnt visit them, but she might have visited during the blip considering she has a newspaper clipping of monica in her spaceship.

Disney ladies' strange hair color theory
Like how they got their hair color like that:
1. Violet Parr
Tumblr media
2. Elsa Oldenburg
Tumblr media
3. Wanda Maximoff
Tumblr media
I guess it could be because of their own powers. This is interesting. Weird...
Like it's match their color of power.

Purple = Force field generation
Blue = Ice manipulation
Red = Reality
They also share a very distinctive traits.

Was it just me or did Scott's anxiety spiral at the end of Quantumania give off some serious Wandavision westview citizens vibes?

Weekly Art Challenge: First Date
Since for my challenges I’m only doing White Vision related art, I decided to illustrate yet another scene from my fic ‘Working Theory.’ Their first date after reuniting. Wanda can feel that he’s Vision, and while she’s wary of him she’s just happy to have Vision back in some way. He’s less certain, but he can’t deny he’s drawn to her for more than just data about their past.
Each time I play with White Vision in my headcanon of what his disguise looks like, I think I should paint it more. I also enjoy figuring out mundane outfits to wear to emulate and incorporate their uniform palettes.
If you are interested in how I headcanon these two reuniting and getting to this point, please check out Working Theory on Ao3!

So I started watching Wandavision tonight, and I do already know some spoilers just from being around on tumblr when it first came out, but we just got through episode 3 and it's hitting me. Basically, this is Storybrooke and Wanda is Regina.
Except instead of taking away everyone else's happy endings, she's just trying to give herself her own. But really, that was what Regina was trying to do too, and it's definitely seeming like Wanda has also taken away the happy endings of others, intentionally or not. So in its essence, this is like Once Upon a Time for comic book characters (but without everyone turning up being related somehow ;) lol).

The problem with Elizabeth Olsen and not Chris Hemsworth or Chadwick Boseman is the later two are the same race as their characters but Elizabeth Olsen isn’t. It would be like casting a white actress to play Storm and a Latina actress to play Jubilee
Example #18 of Selective Wokeness: People justify the existence of "race" to further their own victim narrative, then don't even know how to apply it to others, because, oh right, "race" is a racist paradigm that has no actual meaning in real life and, oh, also, they don't give a shit about learning about the ethnic diversity of others.
I think that my absolutely favorite part of this entire conversation has been the continued avoidance of any person to name what "race" Romani belong to, but they've got a lot to say about them not being white.
Because you decided you aren't related to your Indo-European cousins, but indigenous Europeans and non-Aryan, Mongolian Europeans are both white because... Fuck understanding the ethnic diversity of Europe... Or Africa and Asia, it seems...

There will be no selective progressivism.
No compartmentalized wokeness.
No limited-time-only empathy.
I asked for a South African Zulu or Xhosa Black Panther cast fancast. I didn't ask if you thought it was necessary.
I asked for a Jewish Moon Knight fancast. I didn't ask if you thought it was necessary.
I asked for a Scandinavian fancast of Loki, Thor, Odin, Heimdall, Valkyrie (omg, black people? Doesn't that break your "cast as the same race" rule?). I didn't ask if you thought it was necessary. (You really think you get to decide that native Scandinavians and Uralic people [who the UN legally protects in the same group as native Americans, South American tribes, and the Ainu of Japan] can't be discriminated against - even though they and Inuits are THE voice of indigenous Artic People's human rights - BECAUSE their gods have been culturally appropriated and whitewashed for centuries? Defending against cultural appropriation has an expiration date?! So it's not an issue when Marvel casts blond, English Chris Hemsworth doing an English accent as their red-headed God? You know redheads, right? That genetic marker "white people" have demonized for centuries, BECAUSE it was hair color of indigenous native Europeans who were worshipping their indigenous native gods for centuries in their indigenous native homelands? And then when those same "white people" converted to Christianity, they just switched to a religious connotation, calling red hair the mark of a Devil. Yeah, that red hair? Tell me MORE about how you don't think we need to respect the history of the people who were burned at the stake or boiled alive slowly so that they'd have enough time before their deaths to turn from their red-headed God and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.)
I asked for an East African (Somalian, Rwandan, Kenyan, godforbid Ethiopian) Storm fancast. I didn't ask if you thought it was necessary. You think it's wrong for me to fancast Doctor Doom with a Spaniard because you consider an ethnicity made up of Arab, Jewish, Visigoth, and Basque as "white" and "Romani aren't white"...?But Halle Berry, a half-white American who did nothing culturally significant in her performance of her East African Goddess-Queen character ISN'T classist, colorist, and racist negligence because "a Black actor played a Black character."
Also, a Latina COULD play Jubilee because there are millions of Chinese Latinas. AND bringing up Jubilee just shows you can't recognize Southeast Asians when you see them, so you didn't know, nor care, that the X-Men movies casted a Vietnamese girl to play Chinese.
Because you CARE so much about culture of the actor shining through in the characters... As long as it's your ethnicity.
If Marvel is "problematic," it has been problematic since 1964.
You don't get to DECIDE Marvel suddenly became problematic the moment it affected your ethnicity.
I asked for an equally Jewish Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Magneto fancast. I'm sorry that your people are largely Christianity, Islam, or Hindu-based religion. Go find two Jewish Romani actors to play the Twins and stop playing that "we faced unique persecution" violin as if Hitler didn't throw you both into the fire. I didn't ask if you thought it was necessary.
If you feel you are owed more respect from the MCU and the fanbase, do the bare minimum and respect others. Because there will be NO selective progressivism. There will be no compartmentalized wokeness.

Disappointed and disconcerted by the end of the new Loki comic. It vibes with a theory I’ve been nursing for a while, but also… it’s comics, so an easier explanation is bad writing (or bad direction?)
Is there something deeper going on or what? It’s been years since Loki 2019. What the fuck is happening with this character already. Like not to sound impatient but I don’t trust comics writers to have a coherent story going on. Is Marvel bored of Loki being interesting so they’re pivoting his character to just be bad guy evil man again for no particular reason or are they building toward some kind of payoff at some point? I have theories but they’re contingent on this all being a coherent story and when there’s 83 different writers of varying quality all telling different stories, it’s hard to keep giving the benefit of the doubt. Throw me a bone here.
Here’s hoping Ewing will bring it home in Immortal Thor! Otherwise… man, I don’t know.
Just… not happy.

PIETRO COULD HAVE JUST CHOSEN TO STAY IN SOKOVIA AND HELP THEM REBUILD
HE DIDN'T NEED TO DIE IN ORDER TO BE ABSENT FROM MCU MOVIES
HE COULD HAVE JUST CHOSEN TO NOT BE AN AVENGER AND THEN HE COULD HAVE SAVED CLINT WITHOUT GETTING SHOT WHICH WOULD MAKE SENSE SINCE HE'S A SPEEDSTER!
Also we could have gotten a scene where Clint thanked him for saving him and asks how he can repay him, Pietro is about to leave for Sokovia and looks back at Wanda after they've said their goodbyes and just tells Clint "Protect her." And then in Infinity War Vision and Wanda could mention visiting family while they were in hiding.
THEN when the snap happens, Pietro immediately goes looking for Wanda and finds out shes gone. He'd then go searching for Clint and would find him in his home before he becomes Ronin and because Pietro is a bit of a hothead, he loses it when he finds out Clint wasn't there to protect Wanda which would send Clint even more over the edge. (This would all have to be explained in the Hawkeye series because Disney would have had to take over 20th Century Fox first)
After everyone comes back, Wanda looks for Vision's body and Tyler Hayward mentions looking for Wanda's next of kin (as a desperate act to reanimate Vision) and not being able to find anyone. So Wanda assumes Pietro is dead which leads to her believing that she has no one now.
Then, the moment we find out that Fietro is really just Ralph Bohner, Monica hears a chuckle from the doorway and in a familar accent someone says "You didn't see that coming?" And then hard cut to the next scene. Then have a scene toward the end after Wanda leaves where Pietro sees her leaving and starts to follow her.
Now you have the anticipation of long separated siblings reuniting after both believing the other to be dead. Pietro has purpose that makes sense for his character and isn't just for the plot of one movie and then disposed of.
It also presents the possibility of Pietro reuniting with Wanda after the events MoM and him making a promise that he'd never abandon her but honestly, you could do so much with his character at this point in time.
(Bonus points if Ralph and Pietro have an enemies to friends relationship)
All I'm saying is if he didn't die, with the right writers he would have added a lot to the movies.

i rest easy knowing that somewhere out there in the marvel universe there’s a variant of peter maximoff who was kidnapped and forced to marry a centuries old witch/pretend to be the brother of a former avenger just hanging out in the suburbs of New Jersey. who knows what he's doing-

Nothing quite as humbling as looking back at your old takes and realizing that you were completely wrong
#this happens for me when i'm emotionally invested in a character or show and won't let myself acknowledge that it's bad#like i thought the wandavision finale was 'great'...i did so much meta-writing about loki before finally admitting it sucked...#theory-wise i'm not typically incredibly off but when it comes to evaluating quality i do have a subjectivity issue#like moon knight--i really loved that show and did not recognize most of the pacing or plot issues until the finale#to be clear i still love the show because despite its imperfect story the character exploration and acting really held it together#and i love that they took things in a new direction with how deep they were willing to go with exploring trauma#but it was definitely not as good as i was feeling like it was...and it's ok to like things in spite of flaws#i just have to be aware of them haha#but also sometimes i'll absorb other people's critical takes even when they're off-base (e.g. worried about something that doesn't happen)#like with the season finale to the mandalorian season 2--there was some strong criticism of it and i jumped on that train#because i was worried that they were completely abandoning the story and relationships that they had put in place#and canon has since confirmed they aren't (although i still haven't watched bobf) so those worries were at least largely unfounded#but i am still concerned about how they intend to treat din's religion and what his arc will be bc it can still go badly#however those concerns should not make me evaluate existing content unfairly#all of this is why i am so absolutely resistant to seeing any criticism of kenobi#because i am enjoying this show so thoroughly that i don't want anything to burst my bubble#if it is truly not that great i'll recognize that soon enough once the joy of seeing my BOY on screen again wears off#but i am being so positively affected by this show that i don't want anything to burst that bubble#especially because as stated above a lot of criticism comes from people being worried that they'll do something that they aren't doing#like making the show all about vader was a common preemptive criticism. it is clear that is not what's happening#anyway that's an awful lot of thoughts but in short yeah my takes are not perfect and sometimes i am too forgiving#but also i (and others) have been too harsh before and really all it does is kill the joy! i just wanna enjoy the things i love#kay can i just catch my breath for a second#kay has a party in the tags

What each MCU Saga might represent (to me at least)
I’m not completely sure, especially since the Multiverse is just beginning, but hear me out.
Infinity Saga: ‘Don’t Let Your Past Define Who You Are’ (Heroes: Started with Iron Man who used to sell weapons for war who later become the very person to save everything, Thor who could of let his royal lineage dictate who he was, only to give up the throne to someone else he deemed more worthy, Two Russian spies turned respected heroes, and two former villains turning into heroes through their sacrifices) + (Villains: A program meant to protect people tried to destroy humanity, many individuals getting revenge for what happened in their past and becoming obsessed with their past, and a person believing he was doing the right thing from the experience/example he went through in his own past).
Multiverse Saga: ‘Your Choices Matter’ or ‘The Future Isn’t Written In Stone’ (Heroes: Starts with a woman who is constantly told is a prophesied villain turning into that because she sees it as the only way to get what she wants only to later sacrifice to save everyone, a god who is constantly told that they will always be bad and that everything is controlled ends up trying to do good anyways and ends up with the freeing everything, an entire series showing that one single choice can change everything, a hero realizing that villains fated to die could still be redeemed and saved, two heroes in one trying to save so-called predicted threats while also trying to free themselves from their fated servitude to another,  A sorcerer learning from his future/alternate universes’ mistakes and decides to let the girl destined to die choose her own fate and save the timeline, another young girl that is breaking away from the life her parents want for her to become her own person all the while trying to convince people that they can always make better choices and don’t have to be what they were told to be, a woman choosing her own fate/death and what she wants it to mean, another woman not letting a change in her life dictate her profession or identity but instead making it her own) + (Villains : A woman who wants to cause someone else’s prophecy to occur for their own gain, An organization that is forcing everything to follow a specific script, a conqueror who is writing that script for their own benefit, an entire series where the villains are usually people who want to control the fates of others in one way or another, a god and her avatar trying to kill people because they might do bad things in the future, a multitude of people believing that one person is evil because in alternate time they were, etc.)
Again this ain’t a perfect fit. Especially, since the Multiverse Saga is still beginning. This is just how I see and will continue to see the two sagas as until something changes my mind. Also, something totally don’t fit this but their will always be a percentage of error in things like this. Either way, tell me what you think. Do you think this accurate? Inaccurate? Do you have some other examples for this? Tell me below.
