a/n YALL THIS IS PROBABLY DUMB BUT I HAD THIS IDEA ABOUT A HARRY STYLES X READER FIC THATS BASED ON THE PLOT OF JANE THE VIRGIN AND I WANTED TO WRITE IT SO BADLY I MADE THIS ACCOUNT

Series Summary: Y/n l/n has had the world figured out since she was a child. She won’t be a writer because it’s risky, she’ll just focus on school and becoming a teacher. She’s never been a child, because her mother had her at sixteen and hasn’t aged a single year since. That’s part of the reason the promise she made to her grandmother means so much to her--if she doesn’t have sex before marriage, her child will never have to grow up as quickly as she did. And Harry Styles is at the top of the world--his music has never been more successful, he has a lovely girlfriend, and he’s never been more in demand. Chapter One Summary: Who knew getting a pap smear on two hours of sleep and three cups of coffee was as bad as having unprotected sex? 

There’s something dangerous about taking public transportation in LA. And no, I don’t mean it in the ‘there are bad people in the world’ type of way. I mean it in the ‘I live in one of the casual influencer, celebrity, tourist hubs of the world and each time I step onto the bus I find myself mesmerized by all the stories I see in them’ way. Kind of pathetic, I know, but sometimes a child with blonde pig tails or a woman streaming on instagram live will catch my eye and the urge to pull out my lap top and start something I’ll never finish. 

I know that writing isn’t some kind of disease. But I can’t let myself fall in love with it the way I want to. There’s nothing wrong with writing a short story or two, but trying to write a novel? That’s impractical. It will distract me from school, from the four year plan I’m almost done with.

Sighing, I brave taking at my surroundings. I deserve this today, after the anonymous, rude costumer at the hotel today, I need positivity. No one is particularly inspiring. The bus stops and I watch out the window. At first the crowd is ordinary, and then i see them...paparazzi. Flashing cameras from all angles, grown men violating all rules of personal space. It never sits right with me, but I guess it’s just part of living in LA. The bus starts moving again. When it stops again, I see even more paparazzis, but their cameras aren’t flashing. Good for whoever escaped that. 

The bus door opens and I snap my attention back to my computer screen. I rub my eyes as I stare at my word document. How is there more that needs to be edited? This professor is the harshest grader I’ve ever had, and my friend, Gisa, is kind for giving me even more notes. But I’m exhausted. Two tests and an essay due before 12:00. And it’s...11:38. Great--I have to upload it the second I’m at my doctor’s office and have WiFi again. 

I spend some time highlighting and rewording sentences, and once I’m done I reward myself with more people watching because I deserve it and I can’t fall asleep here. I’m kind of invested in the girl live streaming her bus ride...maybe she’ll say her instagram handle. 

But when I look up, she’s not on the bus anymore. Almost no one is. An elderly couple is sitting towards the back. A woman with a toddler sit two rows in front of me...and there’s now a man directly across from me. I blink for a moment, imagining a story for someone who’s face I can’t quite see beneath such dark sun glasses. His dark waves and strong jaw do most of the imagining for me--he deserves a mystery, a dramatic one with a happy ending and just enough romance to keep the people interested. A good romance, too--not too sappy. Enemies to lovers, maybe. A mysterious stranger that’s not really a stranger because something about him is just...familiar. 

He turns his head and I drop my gaze immediately. There’s no doubt he caught that, but I still pretend to edit the title of my essay. “You’ve been typing stubbornly since I first got on the bus.” There’s an accent--of course he’s english. But it’s more than that, I’ve heard that voice before. I’ve been...soothed by it. And--oh my god, I’m sitting across from Harry Styles.

Okay, don’t freak out. Don’t freak him out. He’s probably on here to escape the the whole ‘oh my god, you’re Harry Styles!’ thing.  

“What are you writing?” Harry Styles just spoke to me. I greeted my one direction poster every single day in middle school, and Harry Styles just spoke to me. Okay--relax, breathe--it’s only weird if you make it weird. 

There’s a kind of curt curiosity to his question. He could have been ruder, considering how blatantly I was staring at him. “I um...an essay.” I’m temped to turn the screen so that he can see I’m telling the truth. Though he wasn’t hostile, a part of me is paranoid that he thinks I am writing about him. It’s a fair assumption, for all he knows I’m drafting a tweet about who I saw on the bus this morning or preparing to send something in to some gossip girl-esque blog. “It’s due today at noon and normally I’m way more on top of things, but I had this last minute doctor’s appointment rescheduling because my usual doctor is out of town and--” I cut myself off before I can tell Harry Styles that I’m ovulating and that if I don’t go to my OBGYN now, I have to wait an entire month and I’ve already been off birth control longer than I’d like. I might not have actual sex in my near future, but my cramps have been extra terrible. “An essay, I just finished an essay.”

He nods once. Maybe he feels bad for so thoroughly startling me into such a rambling, because the corner of his mouth tilts upwards. A soft smile adds even more grace to his features, I focus on the dimple that appears in his cheek. “An aggravating essay, I take it, considering the death glares you’ve been giving your laptop screen.”

I smile at his polite humor. “It’s for the harshest grader on campus. She took three points off of my first essay freshman year because I spaced my bibliography wrong.” 

He cringes in sympathy. “Good luck.” 

“Thanks,” I hum, proud of myself for not letting him know that I know who he is. The bus stops, I can see my doctor’s office behind a few paparazzi. “This is my stop.” 

Harry nods once, ducking his head slightly. A tiny part of me feels sympathy for him; from what I’ve gathered, he genuinely loves his fans and the relationship they have, but it must be draining to never have a moment of privacy. Especially when it’s people who care more about selling your picture than your mental health. 

I linger on the bus’s step, watching the men with large cameras look around. “Excuse me, are you guys looking for Harry Styles?” Most of the men disregard me, but one looks at me. “I know he’s near here because I’m a really big fan and my friend just texted that she saw him.” This gets me the attention I wanted. “He’s at Northfield--a cafe like three blocks down. I just know that if she got a picture with Harry in like a magazine or something she’d totally lose it--in a good way, and she’s been having a bad time so if you see her can you try to make it happen? Knowing her she’ll be at his side, she’s blonde, shortish hair.” 

The men seem skeptical, but I guess they realize that this is the best lead they have. I think the fact that I gave a reason to justify selling Harry out for no reason helped. They disperse together, heading at least three blocks away from Harry. I don’t know if I’ve actually helped him, but I hope I have. 

“Essay girl.” I freeze, half cringing. Did he hear that? That’s embarrassing. I consider darting away, but decide that would just make me cringe more. So I turn on my heels. “You...you forgot your phone.” 

He just saved my life. “Thank you.” I take my phone from his outstretched hand, ignoring the slight thrill that runs through me when our fingers brush. “You’re my hero--the last thing I needed today was to run all over the city searching for my phone.” I finish the awkward admission with a partial laugh. 

“Least I could do,” he mumbles, “especially considering what you just did.” 

...He did see that. “Oh um--it was nothing, I just kind of made a connection and assumed the only reason you’d be on a public bus is because you were trying to avoid some things, and you make really great music and a lot of people happy, so you deserve that break.” Why does it feel like I’ve been talking forever? “Anyways, thanks for the whole phone thing, and I hope I got them off your tail.” 

My joke seems to somewhat land. His lips part, like he’s planning on saying something else. A timer on my phone interrupts him. I instinctually look down--great, the alarm on my phone warning me that I’m only ten minutes away from being late. “I’m late.” I turn towards the bus’s exit. “I gotta go, but thanks again, and I hope you have a good day.” 

I disappear after that, still not sure that that whole thing wasn’t some kind of hallucination. Did I just meet Harry Styles? He...he gave me my phone. Harry Styles has touched my phone. I can’t wait to tell Gisa, she’ll lose it.

I’m still thinking about Harry Styles when I finally reach my OBGYN’s office. When I get there, things are a lot more hectic than I thought they’d be. Many people crowd the waiting area and the receptionist’s desk is clearly understaffed. Two young girls are trying to address multiple upset pregnant women and take phone calls at the same time, all while practically buried in a sea pf paperwork. Wow, I didn’t realize that transferring was such chaos. One of the girls waves me over and barely checks my name before shoving a form towards me. I fill out as quickly as possible. 

 I upload my essay quickly after checking in. Who knows, maybe Harry Styles’s blessing will get me an A? A third person in scrubs emerges from the back after a moment and ushers me into a room. I tell myself to focus on going over the facts I need for the test I have to take in a little over an hour. Or to focus on the fact that I just met Harry Styles. But instead, I feel my heavy eyelids fall shut. 

I don’t know how long I sleep, but I know that I wake up during the middle of a doctor’s sentence, “...I know I’m not your usual, so I just want to make sure you’re comfortable.” 

“Hm...Yeah, yeah I’m comfortable.” She nods once, her wide eyes slightly red. “But I do have a class today in like an hour, so I was wondering if this was going to take longer because of the office’s move?” 

“Oh, no,” she shakes her head. “Just because Dr. Rodriguez gave us no notice before deciding that she no longer wanted to work here...or in the country. Or even live in the US, despite the fact that we just signed a lease on a place together...” Tears well in the stranger’s eyes, pity settles in my stomach. 

“That sounds incredibly complicated, I didn’t mean to rush you.” 

She blinks twice, her expression blanking as she fights against the pain of what’s clearly a terrible break up. “No, no--you have every right. Today is your day and if..honestly, if you’re strong enough to go to a class after this, and do what you’re about to do by yourself, then I’m strong enough to get through today.” 

Um...didn’t realize a pap smear counted as something that needs moral support, but I’ll chalk it up to her heightened emotions. “Thanks.” 

She snaps on her medical gloves. “No, thank you for your patience. Now lay down.” 

I do as told, preparing for a sensation I haven’t often experienced. A moment passes and I know she’s started. She’s moving away from me much faster than expected. Oh--I guess pap smears are a lot shorter than I expected. 

“That’s it?” 

“Yep,” she hums, pulling her gloves off. “Now just take it easy, and hydrate.”

Weird...but that’s like general doctor advice. “Thanks!”

I’ve never wanted to keep a secret from Gisa, but sometimes I really regret telling her I met Harry Styles. It’s been almost a month and I find my mind wandering back to the moment in which our fingers brushed more than I should. Sometimes I let myself wonder what he might have said if my phone hadn’t rang. I was probably just imagining the way his lips parted, but my ind refuses to let it go. 

“...You know it’s kind of sad, I read an interview in which he spoke about the fact that he has some genetic condition that makes it hard to have kids. He has so many godchildren, and I feel like he’d make such a great father.” 

I try to keep up with Gisa’s words, but the dull ache in my head makes it feel so far away. “Yeah...he seemed really patient.” 

Gisa nods, turning to face me. “You alright, you’re looking kinda green?” 

“Yeah...” I reach for my canvas bag. “I think I just...I probably just need some water.” 

My hand grazes the metal of my water bottle and then the corners of my vision blur into blackness. I sway, Gisa’s hand is on my shoulder...and then it all goes black.

I sit uncomfortably on the hospital’s cot. Gisa is a traitor for telling my mom that I fainted. I knew she’d just drag me here--hispanic mothers, they either believe they can cure you with vic’s vapor rub or they want you in the ER. No in between. 

“I know you didn’t want another test, but you’ve been throwing up in the morning for days and now you’re fainting.” 

“Fainted,” I correct, “it happened once.” 

“C’mon, mija, it’s just one doctor’s appointment.” 

Speaking of, an ER nurse returns. “Fainting and nausea spells explained,” he says, glancing at his clipboard, “you’re pregnant.” 

My mom and I can’t help but exchange a look before bursting into laughter. Pregnant. If I’m pregnant then the second coming is here. “That’s impossible, I’m a virgin.” 

He glances at my mom, “maybe we should have this conversation in private.” 

“No, what you say in front of me you can say in front of my mom.” 

My mom raises an eyebrow. “Y/n, did you and that guy from your english class--” 

“No! No, we did not. I am a virgin and there’s no way I’m pregnant.” I glare at the nurse. 

He then ushers me to a bathroom so that I can provide a urine sample. After I’m finished, he shows me a pregnancy test strip. “Pink means pregnant.” I bite my tongue as he tests the strip in my sample. He pulls it out and it’s...it’s bright pink.

“I’m calling my doctor, because this has to be a mistake. It has to be like a hormonal thing.” 

“Exactly, pregnancy hormones.” 

I glare even harder, calling the doctor that I saw last week. “Hello, Dr. Ash? I was wondering if I could get a consultation because I’m in the ER and some crazy doctor is trying to tell me I’m pregnant.” 

Silence on the line for a long second. “...I actually cleared my calendar for you.”

The night was cold, colder than usual.

Kyoko Kirigiri entered the security room, sighing as she sat down in the cool, blue chair. As she scanned her eyes across all the different cameras, quite a few things were on her mind. The 4th trial had ended, with alter ego’s death replaying in the minds of the students. Despair rotted within the students as fear shook them. Alter ego was their only hope, and now they were crushed.

Kirigiri watched as Asahina sobbed in her pillow, Hagakure trying to calm himself down, Togami reading as if nothing happened, Fukawa having a panic attack... Kirigiri bored her eyes into each of the footage from the cameras. Careful trying not to miss anything. Up until she reached a certain CCTV footage caught her eye. 

A boy holding up a sign. The boy was Makoto Naegi, Ultimate Lucky Student. Kirigiri knew better than that, she was the Ultimate Detective for a reason. She knew that talent was a deception, after all, what kind of talent is the “Ultimate Lucky Student”?

Kirigiri knew his real ultimate was despair, a sickening depth of darkness, tearing down others. 

To put it down to simpler words, It was his specialty.

Kirigiri never really understood the reason for despair. Sure, without despair there is no hope, but what was the real meaning behind it? Her ultimate was the Ultimate Detective, aren’t detectives supposed to be fighting against despair in the name of hope? Oh well, she was pretty much forced into this.

Turning her attention back to the green-eyed boy, she noticed there were words on the sign, with a grinning Naegi as he tried to stand tall enough to show the message.

“What an idiot. How did he become the Ultimate Despair again?”

The sign said “Come meet me in our special spot! Wear something pretty!” with a lopsided smiley face.

Once holding it for about 10 more seconds, he ran with the sign. Kirigiri had no idea what he had stored in that deceptive of a mind, but probably something not good.

As Kirigiri strode over to their “special place” Naegi was setting up something. Something like a room filled with candles and roses.

Rose petals and rose vines adorned the walls and floors. Candles were set up as yellow light shown in the darkness. Vodka and other drinks were lined up on a table, all set up for the night. Sure, it was cheesy, but something he put too much effort in. About a minute passed until Kirigiri arrived, Naegi staggered to fix his tie and suit, waiting at the entrance. As he looked up to meet with her eyes, he paused in amazement.

Kirigiri was wearing a deep purple dress that went just above her ankles with long gloves. Purple heels allowed her to have a little more height against Naegi. And her hair was up in a ponytail, with a purple bow to match. In all words, she was stunning. Naegi stood there agape as he looked at Kirigiri (respectfully of course.)

“Well? Are you just going to stand there looking like a reincarnation of Kuwata’s hair? Or are you going to explain what this is?” smirked Kirigiri, Naegi could have sworn he saw Kirigiri blush.

“Ah yes of course..” Mumbled Naegi as he looked down. “I.. I wanted us to take some time alone with each other, seeing as we get too caught up with the killing game and making sure none of them finds out about… about us..” spoke Naegi, softly.

Kirigiri’s smirk softened, seeing a side she saw many times, but not like this. Was this a confession? Perhaps a prank? She had known the boy for far too long to just not expect this wasn’t one of his other little pranks.

“Well then… In that case, let us take some time with each other.”

With that, Naegi and Kirigiri spent time talking and letting out their struggles. “It’s hard to keep track of what I've said and what I've not! It’s like I have to create a mental script..”

“You.. don’t have a mental script?” “You do!?”

As the night went on, Naegi played some music.

“Oh.. Isn’t this Lacrimosa?” questioned Kirigiri.

“Yea! Sometimes it calms me down when times are rough for me,” exclaimed Naegi.

Kirigiri didn’t respond as she looked like she was lost in thought.

“You’re thinking about your past again, aren’t you?” whispered Naegi.

Kirigiri turned to glance at Naegi, a stoic but slightly saddened expression on her face, “You.. You don’t need to worry about me. I can handle myself perfectly fine, just some… memories.”

Naegi examined Kirigiri for a while before standing up and lending Kirigiri his hand.

“Hey, I’m no doctor or therapist but, maybe a waltz will get it off your mind,” suggested Naegi.

Kirigiri opened her mouth for a bit, but completely drew a blank. Eventually, she surrendered and took Naegi’s hand.

They danced to Lacrimosa until it came upon an end.

Naegi slightly lifted his head to Kirigiri’s lavender eyes, yet couldn’t make out what was in them, sadness? Regret? Anger? He’ll never know.

Kirigiri had many thoughts as she slowly danced with Naegi, but she held them off for the time being, as they both wanted time together. And she didn’t want her depressing thoughts to ruin it.

Kirigiri and Naegi made eye contact as their thoughts disappeared, only focusing on each other now.

Kirigiri suddenly stopped, being aware of her surroundings and what she was doing - dancing. And with whom she was dancing with. “I.. Don’t you think it’s a bit… well, late for this?” Kirigiri questioned, “I wouldn’t want to be caught, god knows what they’re up to…” Naegi paused and chuckled for a bit. “We’re the ones in charge, aren’t we? Where is their god now?” Kirigiri looked down, not saying anything. “Where is their god now?” typical Naegi…” “if you don’t want to do this right now, why not grab a drink with me?” Kirigiri looked at Naegi with slight amusement, “why the niceties now?” but gave in, as her throat ached with thirst.

Naegi laughed quietly, then led Kirigiri to the food and drinks stand. Naegi grabbed a bottle of vodka and poured 

“Hm, don’t you think we’re too young to be drinking?” “We’re 18 now, did you forget? Oh yea, Junko erased your memories as well.”

Kirigiri got lost in thought as she remembered the previous ultimate despair Junko Enoshima was the previous despair. Keyword: previous. Naegi and Enoshima had been partners for quite a while, a feared duo. After “The Tragedy” and after class 78 got converted to a new school for a safe shelter, Enoshima and Naegi were already putting their plan into action. They made sure everything was sealed and “safe” and after about a year, Enoshima forced them into the killing game. Unbeknownst to the other 15 students, Naegi was also in this plan from behind the scenes. And after the first death (Ikusaba), Naegi and Enoshima got into a fight.

An angry Naegi burst through the doors of the security room, opening to a gleeful-looking Enoshima.

Naegi never had any thoughts on Ikusaba, she was just another pawn in Enoshima’s plan. But she always had to make things complicated for him.

“Enoshima!” Naegi yelled, “How could you just let Ikusaba die like that? Do you know how risky that was.. If they found out-”

“Which they won’t, honestly Naegi you’re too paranoid,” Enoshima said unbothered. “And If they did I’m sure you can just kill them off like a fly.” 

Naegi had a dark look on his face, “And what would be the explanation for that? Tell me.”

“I-”

“Oh! Togami just pissed me off! So I killed him in cold blood, upupupupu!”

Enoshima took a stand, an annoyed look displayed on her face. 

“Look Naegi, if you’re just going to argue about the past, fuck off, it can’t be changed and you know that.”

Naegi quietly chuckled, which turned into full-on laughter.

“AHA- HAHAHAHA, you think I’m just going to accept giving up like that? Well unbeknownst to you, Enoshima, I have a few cards up my sleeve as well..”

Naegi swiftly threw a card at Enoshima’s face, giving a fresh cut to her cheek. Enoshima looked at Naegi in disbelief, gently touching her face.

“H- How dare you,” Enoshima said, bewildered.

Naegi looked at her in amusement, “Was that not entertaining for you enough, Enoshima?”

Enoshima growled, spitting at Naegi. 

“Fuck you,”

“Pay me.”

Naegi quickly moved behind Enoshima, slicing the back of her neck, then putting her up against the wall with a knife under her chin, complimenting her facial features.

“Well now, the shorty finally decided to grow some balls, huh?” Enoshima teased, wincing as the cut behind her neck burned.

“You know damn well I grew some balls ever since I even started our little plan. Have a nice time in hell, Enoshima.” Naegi sneered, looking up at the despair twin.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be saving you a seat.”

Naegi then sliced her neck, pink blood dripping from the knife and onto Naegi’s hand.

Naegi hummed, dropping Enoshima on the floor, disgust filling his senses. “As much as I love bringing people into despair, the stench of blood is disgusting.”

Naegi then washed his hands and ordered monokuma to clean the mess up before heading towards his dorm room, pretending as if nothing happened.

“Hello? Earth to Kirigiri?” Naegi waved his hand in front of Kirigiri’s face.

Kirigiri was brung back into reality, realization striking her that she was lost in thought. 

“O-oh, Naegi. Sorry, I was lost in thought… again.” Kirigiri said rather embarrassingly, glanced at the shot she was holding, and gulped it down.

“It’s okay Kirigiri,” Naegi spoke as he had doubt in his eyes. He then took a shot, shaking his head.

“Hey Kirigiri, I know I invited you here myself but, there’s another place I wanna show you, care to join me?”

Kirigiri pondered for a minute, should she really go with a murderer who killed the ultimate despair only just to become the ultimate despair himself? Kirigiri sighed, he couldn’t kill her because of her secret anyways. Kirigiri remembered how desperate he was to know the secret.

Naegi whined as he followed Kirigiri around pleading. 

“Oh Kirigiri pleaaase!” he begged, “Let me know your secret!”

Kirigiri stopped and looked at Naegi, “why do you want to learn my secret so much?”

Naegi scoffed, “Well obviously because you’ve mentioned it once before and never told me! I thought I was your best friend..”

Kirigiri shook her head and continued to walk towards the physics lab, a click in her steps.

Oh well, it’s not like she has much of a choice.

Kirigiri sighed and followed Naegi, hoping that it would mean something good.

Naegi led Kirigiri up to the roof of the school, looking back from tie to time with a smile on his face.

Once on the roof, Naegi invited Kirigiri to sit down. The area was outgrown, plants growing everywhere. Fires all around the building, blazes and flames of fire all around the base of the school, the sun setting with a red aura.

Smoke filling Kirigiri's senses, she coughed. “W-Where are we Naegi?” she said as she looked at Naegi. Naegi’s face was lightened with red, orange, and yellow hues as he grinned down upon the world, eyes sparkling with delight.

“We’re.. We’re at the top of the world,” Naegi smiled.

Kirigiri glanced at Naegi with a confused expression but stoic eyes as she looked Naegi up and down.

“Quit the act, why did you bring me here?” Kirigiri demanded.

Naegi turned around, surprised. “Kirigiri, I just wanted to spend time with yo-”

“Stop, I know you’re lying to me. Spit it out.”

Naegi sighed with an annoyed tone and looked Kirigiri directly in the eye.

“I want to know your secret.”

Kirigiri was disappointed, but not surprised. Naegi was an awfully ambitious person and would go to extraordinary heights to get what he wanted, but Kirigiri was awfully stubborn.

“And exactly why should I tell you? For all I know, you could kill me instantly after.” Kirigiri doubted.

“Well for one, you can get out alive!” Naegi laughed, “But you’re not getting away this easily, Kirigiri.”

Kirigiri carefully examined the options she had; A: make a run for it, B: punch him and run, C: tell him and live. She knew with plans A and B he could easily either send monokuma after her or just kill her himself. And with plan C he could also be lying. So in all, it’s a win-lose situation.

Kirigiri sighed and made up her mind.

“I’m not telling you, whether you kill me or not. And besides, even you don’t know the secrets of this school, you need me.”

Naegi examined her closely again, then swiftly took out knives, throwing them all at Kirigiri. Which she dodged them all, even catching one. She threw the knife aside and stepped forward towards Naegi.

“You know you need me, you can’t do anything without me. Give up.”

Naegi growled, “shut up, shut up, shut up!”

With a few knives cutting Kirigiri’s dress and skin, she fell on the ground, backing away from Naegi.

She winced in pain as she looked up at Naegi, her vision blurring as she tried to make out what to do. Naegi stopped in front of her, playing with the knife in his hands before kneeling down in front of her face, lifting her chin up with the knife.

“You know Kirigiri, you’re an intelligent person with lots of room for improvement. I never wanted to come to this conclusion, but if you’re not going to work with me here, we’re going to have a problem.” threatened Naegi.

Kirigiri glared up at Naegi, keeping full eye contact.

“I’m not giving in, no matter what little tricks you have in store.”

Naegi rolled his eyes in annoyance, then putting his knife hard against her neck, “if you oblige, I’ll make your death quick and painless, if you don’t - well then you’re gonna have a fun time suffering.”

Kirigiri stared at Naegi in silence watching as her blood dripped down from her neck and onto everywhere.

Naegi then grew tired of waiting and sliced Kirigiri’s throat leaving her dead blank face the last expression she’ll ever make again.

He then stood up and started walking towards the exit down back to the school, when he heard something.

“I-Ikusaba… she’s alive, an…” Naegi whipped around, anxious, as he urged Kirigiri to continue. “And… she’s o-out for you..”

Naegi was stunned into silence. Ikusaba.. was alive? And she wanted vengeance? Naegi was very confused about this whole proposition. This was Kirigiri’s secret? Naegi then looked at Kirigiri again waiting for more information. But to no avail, Kirigiri’s eyes rid of the light and grew dead.

Naegi then started pacing around, wondering what to do next. Should he try to find Ikusaba? Should he kill Ikusaba once and for all? Should he-

Naegi was then interrupted by a figure in the shadows. He turned around to look who it is, but he couldn’t make out who it was until they stepped into the light.

“Naegi,” a cool monotone voice spoke, “We meet again.”

The figure then stepped into the light - a face known too well.

Mukuro Ikusaba. The other despair twin. Also known as the ultimate soldier. The last time Naegi and Ikusaba met was when they were putting the plan into action and putting the students in the classrooms. After that they barely interacted.

Naegi knew Ikusaba was dangerous. Her talent gave it away, after all. She knew tons of different strategies, and while Enoshima liked to say that the strategies were hers’ - spoiler alert: they were not.

Turning back to reality, Naegi began thinking of different tactics to well ah, slaughter his close friend.

Ikusaba read Naegi like a book, and took out her dagger - to which Naegi replied to taking his own out as well.

“Impressive, I saw what you did with Kirigiri. You’ve worked on your reflexes.” complimented Ikusaba. “But you’re no match for me.”

“You think so?”

“I know so.”

“Alright, let’s dance.”

y/n woke up in a reclined chair that was covered in plastic, fluorescent lights flickered and she groaned from it stinging her eyes. a woman in matching blue shirt and pants with a paper mask pulled over her nose walked over to where she lay. " how are you feeling y/n? finally waking up, i see." she narrowed her eyes slightly at the nurse. " wath i not awake? i thought i wath." she said stumbling around the words. the nurse smiled. " you were napping for a bit while got our work done." " what wor-" she tried to talk around the gauze filling her mouth. the nurse stepped to the side of her chair. she reached her hand into y/n's mouth and pulled a red wet clump from one cheek, then the other. y/n looked up at her with disgust. " why am i bleeding!" " you had your wisdom teeth removed. your gums will be bleeding for a while, dont worry." you blinked a few times, your body suddenly feeling very heavy, letting yourself fall back against the chair. after placing new gauze in its place, the nurse stepped away leaving y/n with her thoughts. using her tongue, she counted her teeth. " one, two, three..." she mumbled. several times she had to start over because she couldn't figure out where tooth number fifteen started and tooth fourteen ended. while she was busy counting she didn't notice the nurse back with a wheel chair. the nurse pressed a lever that lifted the back of the chair to an upright position. " c'mon, your friends are here to take you home" she helped y/n stand up and sit down in the wheel chair. "-was counting." she complained, but the nurse just pushed the chair forward. the sudden movement made y/n's head spin and she gripped the arms of the chair. ' slow down!' but when the nurse didn't, she realized she musnt have said anything out loud. when y/n was brought into the waiting room of the hospital, bucky was at the front desk talking to the receptionist. she handed him a zip-lock bag filled with something and a few papers. the nurse had helped you out of the chair as bucky greeted you. " how are you feeling, doll?" you tilted your head in confusion" i thought i was a human." y/n proceeded to pinch a piece of skin to check that they were indeed still made of flesh. bucky shook his head. " they drugged you up good, huh?" he wrapped his covered metal hand around your waist and guided you out of the hospital. " you remember what you came here for?" bucky quizzed " of course. i sold them my teef-" y/n mumbled. you reached for your mouth, the gauze was beginning to bother you, but bucky took your hand in his " ah, ah. dont go messing with your mouth, you might mess up the stitches." " bu' mouf hurts' " you complained with a frown. y/n and bucky reached his car, Sam was waiting, his phone in hand. " we'll take care of the pain once we get home." he promised. you nodded. " can i drive?" you slurred reaching for the driver side door. " um no, id like to live please." Sam said as he laughed. you noticed Sam had his phone in his hand and he followed you with it. bucky opened the back seat and made you duck your head so you wouldn't hit it. " get in back with her so she doesn't try anything.." " why cant i drive?" Sam said back. " you didn't have to come with me, but you wanted to film her right?" Sam acquiesced and the three made their way home.

FRIDAY announced their return as they stepped out of the elevator into the compound. bucky still supported y/n as she walked, Sam followed, phone at the ready in case your drug attled brain came up with any more comedic ramblings. tony and Bruce were looking at a white board when Sam came up to them. it was also tonys idea to get y/n on camera after getting surgery, he had done the same when peter got his wisdom teeth removed the previous year.

" you guys have to watch this!" Sam said excitedly as he handed tony his phone, " just hit play.

the recording showed y/n in the backseat, she was writing something with her finger in mid air while she spoke " but the symbol for iron is Fe, and man is the same as male. so technically, iron-man translate to Fe- male. that makes iron-man a woman." then all that was heard was Sam and buckys laughter.

tony paused the phone and tossed it back " jokes on all three of you, peppers made that joke five times since mark II." bucky had taken y/n down one of the hallways that led to her apartment.it was so everyone that lived at the compound had a private space. he opened the door and helped y/n sit on her bed. she kicked her shoes off and pulled them under her. she tried to pull her blanket around her shoulders but it was stuck under her. when bucky came back with a glass of water he helped wrap the blanket around her. " 'kay, the doctor gave me this list to help you recover. " he opened the zip lock bag and pulled a pile of gauze out along with a smaller bag of capsules. " " first i gotta take the gauze out."  he had a piece all folded up at the ready. " open up doll.." so she did

" i miss you." bucky gave y/n a confused look as he reached into her cheeks to pull the bloodied gauze out. " what are you talking about, im right here." she shook her head. " no. we shouldn't 'ave broke up." she said, mouth fill of fresh gauze. bucky winced ever so slightly, knowing it wasn't right to talk about that subject with you inebriated. he handed y/n a pill and helped her take small sips till it went down. " we- we can talk about that stuff later, right now you should get some rest." y/n laid down, wrapping herself tighter in the blanket, and was soon asleep, the medicine quickly taking over. bucky watched her for a minute until her breathing evened out. he bent over, pressing a quick kiss to y/n's head before closing the door behind him as he left.

Part two

it was a few hours later since bucky had left y/n passed out in her room. bucky had spent all evening replaying those words in his head. thanks to the serum, he was able to hear when there were movements coming from y/ns room, and bucky went to go check on here, and more importantly, get some answers

bucky and y/n had dated for a while after she joined shield a while back, and bucky wouldn't admit it to anyone else, but when y/n broke things off after a measly four weeks of dating, it hurt.

bucky knocked on the semi open door of y/ns room and waited until she acknowledged him " hey, come in." she sounded much more sober than the last time they spoke. y/n was currently folding up a piece of gauze and tucking it into her gums where the teeth had been recently removed " whaths up?" she tried to speak around the cotton

" just wanted to check on you, see if you needed help." he said casually, " looks like the drugs wore off. you were acting pretty crazy for a while before." he said with a smirk.

" and i know the guys aren't gonna let me live down whatever i did to embarrass myself this time." she agreed. bucky sighed as he took a step inside the room further, " actually, i was hoping we could talk about something" he asked nervously, but y/n didn't seem to notice this and simply pat the spot on the bed, so bucky sat down

" before you passed out, i was changing your gauze, you said that you missed me. like, when we were dating.." y/ns eyebrows knit closer together " i did?" bucky nodded y/n shrugged " i guess i was just feeling sentimental. " she did remember the good moments they had together

" you also said you wanted to get back together. and i wanted to know, do you?" the question pained the both of them, and there was a silence that filled the space before y/n shifted in the bed " theres part of me that wishes we could, but i broke up with you remember?"

bucky nodded " i still think it was a sad excuse-"

" i know it was. but its the truth, my only experiences with guys lead up to me getting hurt. all forms of love ive witnessed only ends up with heartbreak, i was only trying to save you the trouble of getting attached and getting hurt like i did." she admitted.

"for what its worth, the last thing i ever want is to hurt someone,and how do you know if you never give us a real chance?" he asked

" you're right, and maybe once i dont have too many holes in my head, we could try again?" y/n asked softly. bucky leaned forward and kissed her forehead " id like that."

in honor of last night having been my last ever shift dishwashing at the same restaurant i’ve been at for the past four years here’s an absurdly long list of random chaotic moments that literally no one asked for that i’ve been compiling since day one:

 It was just a few days later that Riley was released from the hospital, the doctors gave her permission to go back to the palace, however she had to check in with them every few days so that they could keep an eye on her head and track her amnesia. No one was allowed in her room except him and the doctors.

Liam and Riley sat in the back of the car whilst Bastian drove, Riley, sat staring out of the window she hadn’t spoken a word since leaving the hospital. Liam watched her the whole time, never taking his eyes off her.

“your staring” she whispered

“I’m sorry” he flustered “I’m just worried about you”

“I’m okay” she stated bluntly

“Riley…”

“I’m fine Liam” she barked

“alright…I’ll take your word, shall I?” he sighed

“I’m sorry…” she whispered as she laced her fingers with his “I shouldn’t take that tone…I know it’s because you care” she added

The car arrived at the Palace just thirty minutes after leaving the hospital. Riley and Liam headed inside. Riley looked around as if it was the first time she was seeing the place, in her mind the last time she was there was the coronation.

“everyone looks so happy” she whispered

“because they are…they’re happy your home” he smiled as he squeezed her hand.

“everyone has missed you” he added

“Liam…do I stay with you? now that we’re…engaged?” she asked once they were out of view from everyone, they walked up the stairs heading down to their quarters.

“yes, you do, we have our own suite, like an apartment, a very big apartment” he smiled

“we live together?” she giggled

“yes” he smirked “we very much live together”

“that’s the best thing I’ve heard all day” she whispered with a smirk. Liam and Riley headed into their quarters, Riley's smile reached from ear to ear as she looked around the suite.

“it’s gorgeous…why on earth have I been wasting away in the room down the hall when this place is here? You’ve been holding out on me!” she giggled

“many nights I wanted to bring you here and just hold you” Liam stated as he took his coat off in the sitting room, whilst Riley was in the bedroom looking around.

“just hold me?” a smirk found itself on her face “you sure that’s all your wanted to do your Majesty?”

“Riley!” Liam laughed

“what?” she chuckled as she walked back into the sitting room.

“could you show me where my clothes are…I-I would like to change out of these” she asked him softly

“of course,” he replied as he took Riley's hand and showed her back into the bedroom, he walked her over to the closet then opened the double doors. Riley's eyes widened as she seen the size of it, it was bigger than her old apartment back home.

“th-this is all mine?” she asked

“yes, since becoming a duchess and the queen in waiting, you’ve gained quiet the wardrobe” he smiled as he walked in with Riley by his side.

“you see this one, this is the dress you wore in New York…when we got engaged” he squeezed her hand.

“it’s gorgeous”

“I know, that’s what I told you when I seen you wearing it” he chuckled

“Liam…” she sighed happily

Many Weeks went by and Riley's memory hadn’t progressed at all. She tried to remember, she tried as hard as she should, she asked questions, she had Liam and her friends tell her about what had happened in the time between her last memory and what happened in the lot. She wanted to hear every story, everything about the things they had all done together: Finding Tariq, their trip to Coney Island…Liam's proposal…she wanted to know everything.

Riley hadn’t slept properly in weeks, most nights she lay awake, with Liam's arms wrapped around her waist. Liam would lay whispering sweet nothings in her ear whilst linking his fingers with hers. Liam had spent the last few weeks searching for rileys parents whereabouts, it was as if they had disappeared off the face of the earth.

It was about six weeks after the incident that changed everything. It was late in the afternoon, Riley was in their quarters after spending the day with Hana and Maxwell. She had been feeling off all day…nauseous, her head was pounding so she had retired from their outing earlier than she had planned. once she got back she changed into some comfier clothes then she perched herself on the sofa with a blanket and turned the tv on. She watched television for a short twenty minutes before she found herself dozing off. It was just a few hours later that she awoke abruptly, she felt like someone had set her on fire, her temperature was sky high, she jumped from the seat and took off to the bathroom, as soon as she reached the toilet she fell to her knees crying as she violently chucked up her insides. Her breathing hitched as she cried. What was happening to her. Her felt sharp pains shooting in her head. her heart was beating a million miles an hour, with her breathing speeding up. it was then that it started…the flashbacks…they felt so real…as if they were happening all over again…

Making her way downstairs Riley sang to herself. “Mommy?!” she called as she walked into the living room…nothing…Riley smiled as she heard a clanging from the kitchen “Mommy!?” she called ecstatically as she headed to the kitchen, she sniffled seeing no one there, just the cat jumping from the counter and pan lying on the floor…where were her mommy and daddy? Her sister? She walked through the living room to the front door, she reached up on her tiptoes pulling the handle down on the door, she opened it stepping out onto the front steps…the car was gone. the next day Riley spent the day waiting…watching from the front step…hours went by and no one came…every car that past she watched like a hawk just in case it was her family. They wouldn’t leave her…would they? How could they? they loved her…didn’t they? How could they just abandon her?

It was like her heart was breaking all over again…like they left her all again….it was like she was reliving them…she could feel the pain…the emotion, everything she had felt back then…she could feel it again…her hands shook as the tears feel…she wasn’t sure what she was feeling…there were so many emotions going through her body, she was hurt…she was scared as it all came flooding back…her parents leaving, basically being homeless. Just seconds later it started again

There Riley stood in front of the grey door in the block of apartments…she took a deep breathe then knocked on the door…just moments later she was met with a face she never thought she would see again…Tariq!

Tariq took a moment to steady himself on the podium as hundreds of paparazzi aimed their cameras at him.

“I am here to make a statement regarding the photos of myself and Lady Riley…it was a misunderstanding that led me to her room that night, mistaking it for my own. The photos that were taken of us reveal only this: a breach of privacy that I alone was responsible for, and an arrogant and unwanted advance on my part.”

“We did it!” Riley whispered through her tears.

“IM KING OF THE WORLD!!!!” Liam shouted at the top of his lungs at the top of the Ferris wheel.

As Liam turned to look at Riley, he gently took her hand. “do you remember the coronation?”

“how could I forget”

“I was going to propose to you that night…in front of the entire court, not doing so will remain the deepest regret of my life.” Liam gently brushed a strand of hair from Riley's head as a soft smile finds itself making its way onto his face. “still perhaps its destiny that it happened this way, that you broke free of the conspiracy against you just as we returned to New York…as we came full circle” Liam turned to face the statue of liberty and gently pats his leg a few times, Riley quickly followed Liam's gaze to find herself looking at one corner of the base, beyond which you can only see darkness. “here, Bash!” he called. Riley furrowed her brows not knowing what was going on, why was Bash there? Bash emerged from behind the corner and begins trotting towards the couple. “I hope you don’t mind, my borrowing him tonight” as Bash approached the two Riley spotted something attached to his collar.

“Liam, what’s going on? What is that?” she asked curious

“you’ll see in just a moment” Liam smirked as he removed the object from Bash’s collar then he turned to Riley.                                                                  

“Riley, you’ve opened my eyes, it has been a true honour to witness your strength in the face of every challenge you have overcome. It’s a strength that lends me courage. I know that I will be a better man for having you by my side. All I want in this world is to dedicate my life in being the best man and king that I can be…for you.” Liam fell to one knee, his eyes locked on Riley's, with passion in his eyes, he reached out and took her hand in his.

“Lady Riley Brookes, Queen of my heart, I have yearned to say these four words for a very, very long time…”

“Liam…” she whispered

“Riley, will you marry me?” he smiled

Riley's heart was going a million miles an hour as she relived the moment she and Liam finally got engaged, she cried and cried as she felt the love all over again.

“we left because we couldn’t afford to support both of you!!” Riley was taken back by her mother’s statement.

“Bullshit! Absolute bullshit!! You could afford to have nice cars…a big house…you gave Lulu everything she ever wanted! SO, DON’T YOU DARE COME INTO OUR HOME…AND TRY AND FEED ME THAT BULLSHIT!! IF YOU COULDN’T AFFORD TWO CHILDREN YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE HAD TWO CHILDREN!!! WE HAD THE BIGGEST HOUSE ON THE BLOCK…WE HAD MORE CARS THAN WE WOULD EVER NEED…WE HAD A MAID FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!” Riley shouted as she got closer and closer to the woman.

“Riley-”

“NO! IM NOT FINISHED, YOU WERE MY PARENTS…YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LOOK OUT FOR ME…TAKE CARE OF ME…I HAD NO ONE! I SPENT YEARS EATING SCRAPS FROM THE GARBAGE BECAUSE I HAD NOTHING!! I WAS FUCKIN TEN! I WOKE UP THAT MORNING AND LOOKED FOR YOU…I LOOKED FOR BOTH OF YOU!” Riley turned her attention to the 50-year-old well-dressed man “I DON’T KNOW WHY YOUR SITTING THERE…YOU’RE AS MUCH TO BLAME AS SHE IS! BOTH OF YOU HAD A RESPOSIBILITY AS PARENTS TO CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN, THE SECOND YOU LAID DOWN TOGETHER AND HAD ANOTHER CHILD…THAT CHILD WAS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!”

“Riley please don’t shout at me like that, I’m your mother, I’m sorry riley” the woman apologised

“FUCK YOUR APOLOGIES, MAYBE YOU CAN SIGN MY THERAPISTS BILL WITH IT BECAUSE I DON’T WANT IT! MOTHER? HAH! YOU STOPPED BEING MY MOTHER THE SECOND YOU ABANDONED ME! I WAITED FOR YOU…I WAITED FOR YOU ON THE STEPS OF THAT HOUSE…I WAITED FOR YOU TO COME BACK FOR ME” Riley cried hysterically “WAS I THAT BAD A CHILD THAT YOU DIDN’T WANT ME? WAS I THAT WORTHLESS TO YOU…DID I MEAN THAT LITTLE TO YOU THAT YOU COULD JUST LEAVE ME WITH NOTHING? …LIKE I WAS NOTHING! AND THEN YOU COME HERE EXPECTING ME TO FORGIVE YOU…I DON’T THINK SO…YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST COME HERE AND SAY YOUR SORRY AND I’LL FORGIVE YOU? …MAYBE IF YOU TOOK ME WITH YOU, YOU WOULD KNOW THAT, THAT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN…IM A FORGIVING PERSON BUT YOU CAN’T RUIN MY LIFE THEN EXPECT AN APOLOGY TO SUFICE?” 

Riley started to hyperventilate, she didn’t know hot to handle all these feelings at once, she sat on the floor of the bathroom, knees pulled up to her chest as tried to make sense of everything. It was her next memory that threw her over the edge though…the one that really got her.

“Riley!” Liam shouted, “Riley please open the door!”

“why” she cried “why would they do that!? W-why would they leave me like that!?” she sobbed

“Riley…sweetheart” he said just loud enough for her to hear “I know…I don’t know mentally what you’re going through but if you let me in, we can talk, let me help you riley”

“no…wh-why would anyone want to help me…I’m worthless…my own parents didn’t even want me…why would anyone else” she blubbered, he felt his heart breaking a little, hearing how she spoke about herself

“hey…you are worth so much more than you give yourself credit for Riley, your friends love you, I love you, we all love you so much”

“stop! Stop saying that!! You’re all just going to do the same as they did…you’re going to get m-my hopes up…then you’re going to l-leave me…b-but I c-can’t let m-myself…b-be hurt again…I-I’m so sorry L-Liam” she started to hyperventilate.

“Riley!!!” Liam shouted panicking when he heard her moving, all her could hear was her crying and throwing things around…he banged his fists on the door, then he heard a scattering on the floor as if she had dropped beads or something of that size then the tap started running.

“Riley!!! RILEY!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!”

“I-I love you Liam” she cried as she moved from their bathroom to the bedroom.

“Riley move away from the door I’m coming in!!”

“y-you can t-try but…you’ll be too late” Liam stood back, lifting his leg and forcing his foot into the door with all his might. The door flew open, banging against the chest of draws just beside it. When he got the door open he ran straight for Riley who was balled up next to the bed with her back to him, he fell to his knees pulling her into his hold with his arms wrapped around her and her back against his chest her hands covered her face. Her hands were bleeding from her nails digging into her palms so much when she was clenching her fists. Liam sat holding her as tight as he could when he looked up he got a straight line of sight to the bathroom…that’s when he panicked…painkillers…all over the floor.

“Riley? how many did you take?”

“enough t-to take the p-pain away” she cried “how could they leave me?” he held her back to his chest. Riley started to become hazy…not responding as fast as she normally would

“Riley…Riley talk to me!!! How many did you take?” the tears started to fall from Liam’s eyes…overwhelmed with everything happening before him. “BASTIAN!! BASTIAN! GET THE PHYSICIAN!!” Liam shouted at the top of his lungs.

At this point Riley couldn’t hear a thing around her…they mind was set on herself and that’s its…the whole court could be in that room and she wouldn’t have noticed, her hands shook, her nose ran, her face was red from the tears, she had cut the inside of her hands with her fingernails due to clenching her fist too tight.

The next flashback took it out of her, it was a memory…she hadn’t yet felt the backlash off, because of her amnesia…no one knew how she would feel or react when she got her memories back.

once Riley climbed out of the shower, she wrapped her towel round her, then headed into the bedroom, she changed into some comfy clothes then made her way into the living room, as she walked in she seen the balcony door lying open, assuming it was the wind or something, she just let it go and went to shut it, as she went to pull it shut, she felt someone hit her on the back of the head then a hand went over her mouth, she struggled, trying to get away, she kicked she wriggled she tried as hard as she could to get out of their hold…but no avail. she cried and screamed only for it to be muffled. Her eyes widened as she heard her mothers laugh. She was pulled from the palace, out onto the balcony then she was pushed over the edge, Knocking her out.

Everything fast forwarded. Next thing she knew, she was in a small room, about the size of a broom closet, she was alone…the only person in there. The room contained, her, a chair and a camera.

It was like her life was on fast forward. She may have just been sitting on the cold bathroom floor, but in her mind, she was in that room…she was locked up…with no oxygen.

“Liam” she stated looking at the camera so tired and beat up.

“Th-There’s no windows…the door is sealed…i-im the only person in here…they’re trying suffocate me” she coughed then winced “they s-said…If you want to s-see me again…t-they want…m-money…one hundred million. The cameras on a timer…it’s going to interrupt every channel every thirty minutes for ten minutes” She cried “Liam…d-don’t give into them…Don’t do it” her eyes were like faucets.

“I love you Liam” she whispered before the camera went off. as the red record light went off on the camera, she burst into tears…she knew she didn’t have long…she wasn’t stupid, every hole and space was sealed there was no oxygen getting into that room, she had hours and she knew it.

As the hours went by in that room, it felt like seconds to Riley sitting in the bathroom, her breathing wavered as she felt the loss of oxygen…Riley screamed and cried as she tried to stand up but quickly fell back to the floor again. As she fell to the floor, she gripped the sink basin pulling the glass soap dish down with a crash, it smashed all over the floor, pieces flew everywhere. She couldn’t handle the pain in her heart…it was all too much. It was like all her heartbreak that she had ever felt…all happening at once. She was repeatedly vomiting, hyperventilating, crying, 

“…Liam…I don’t have much…time left…I…can hardly…breathe” she gasped “so I …want to say…this now” she was dying…she could hardly keep her eyes open…no energy to keep her head up

“…I want you to know…how much…you’ve changed me…for the better…how much you’ve moved me, you made me…a woman…by loving me, Liam” with gasps between each word she carried on, she knew she should really stop talking to save oxygen but she had to tell him before it was too late…he had to know she loved him “and for that…I am…eternally grateful!, promise me Liam…that…that whenever your…sad…or unsure…or you lose…complete faith…promise me…that you’ll try to see yourself…through my eyes…thank you…for giving me the honour…of getting to …know you…I have no regrets when…it comes to you…you’ve made my…life, Liam…but I’m just a …chapter in yours…there will be…more…I promise…don’t be afraid to fall in love again…marry for love Liam…I love you Liam” she gasped as her eyes flickered shut.

she couldn’t breathe and because she couldn’t breathe she couldn’t shout to anyone…she couldn’t call anyone for help.

Riley's scream could be heard throughout the palace, Liam was in a meeting he heard it, as one of the lords at the table spoke,, the scream broke the conversation, Liam quickly stood from the seat and took off out the door, he ran…he ran faster than he ever did until he reached their quarters, at this point the guard on door post duty was already in there, he was stood at the bathroom door just watching…he wasn’t sure what to do, he didn’t know if he should go near her, she was in such a state he wasn’t sure how to deal with it, he had been trained to deal with all sorts of situations but he wasn’t trained for this.

Liam came running in, stopping at the bathroom door, as soon as he seen Riley, the glass all over the floor, the blood on her hands, the glass shards that had pierced her feet, her hair was mangled from pulling at It, her skin pale as snow from all the vomiting, her cheeks stained red from the tears. Liam dismissed the guard as he carefully moved closer to her, kicking the glass away, once he reached her side he fell to his knees pulling her into his chest, he knew exactly what was happening.

“it’s alright…it’s okay…I’m right here” he whispered as he held her close. “deep breathes sweetie it’s okay…it’s okay…you’re gonna be just fine sweetie, I know it hurts, but it’s going to get better I promise” he gently pecked her head. “ive got you, your safe, your okay” he whispered softly into her ear, trying to calm her down. “shh, shh, it’s alright”

Liam could feel his own heart breaking as he watches the love of his life breaking in front of him, how two people could make someone feel like that…how they could break someone so easily…it disturbed him, what kind of person does that!

February 2018, aka when the European tour started.

CrankGameplays: “Happy valentine’s day! You’re my favorite person and im glad i get to experience all the things with you. Love you :)”

You’d think he would post one of the many decent candid photos he’s taken of me. You know, one where my highlight was catching the light, or one where I was smiling, or one of the two of us looking disgustingly adorable. But no, Ethan went with the photo he took of me passed out on our bed in our Amsterdam hotel room, my wavy pink hair sprawled out in an ungraceful manner. I wasn’t supposed to fall asleep, nor was he. It just happened. And now my sleepy self was all over Instagram.

Ethan was just as groggy when I shook him awake. Unlike me, he was a very handsy, cuddly being when he was sleepy. He rolled onto his side and groaned in the way he would when he wanted to hold me, so I scooted into his arms and let him.

His skin was warm and weirdly soothing. We were supposed to be getting out of bed… I was supposed to be insomniac due to sheer anxiety. Time zones were out to get us. Yet somehow, it felt like the holiday itself.

“Happy Valentine’s Day,” I spoke softly into his collarbone.

He squeezed my shoulders and kissed the top of my head. “Did you see my picture?”

“Oh, did I.”

“I meant every word I said.”

Ah yes, that extra bit of validation. I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his waist. I had no idea what time it was, so I didn’t know how much time we had before we had to be in the lobby with everyone else.

“When’s the next time we’ll be alone a hotel room?” I asked, now looking up at Ethan.

He shrugged. “No idea. Why?”

“Do you think we’ll be able to sneak around like we did last time around?”

If he was struggling to wake up before, then my question sped up the process. He met my eyes, red tinting his cheeks. “Oh… I don’t know. Do you want to sneak around?”

“If we can,” I told him as I leaned in to kiss the crook of his neck. “If not then… we're alone now.”

That was all I had to say to make run late. Excuse: jet lag.

I was grumpy and tired when it was time to get up and do the tour thing all over again. I had a rough flight… or, two flights. We had stopped in London between flights, in which I had a panic attack and a case of the nervous shits while everyone else ate and tried not to fall asleep. Then, we were off to the Netherlands, where I fell asleep the second I got to the hotel. Ethan fell asleep too, but not before taking pictures of my sleeping, drooling face. I didn’t really mind that he would do that. I took my own photos of him while we were on the plane.

And that was what I posted on Instagram that morning in the shuttle on the way to the venue. I picked a selfie of me clutching a pillow to my chest on the plane ride over here. Ethan was in the seat next to me, his head tilted back as he slept. As sleep deprived and generally nervous as I was, I was seriously considering captioning the photo with something absolutely cheesy and deep. I actually started writing it out.

bellasanti: “To the guy who found me at my lowest point, who helped me get to where i am now… the person who has always been nothing but kind and wonderful since day 1. My biggest supporter and my best friend… I cant even begin to explain how lucky i am to have found you, and how proud i am of you and how far you’ve come. I love you more than words could describe 💙💖💙💖💙💖”

A small smile was etched on my face as I read the caption over and over again. I looked over at Ethan, who was practically standing as he “touched lenses” with Mark. They were both vlogging and being rather loud about it. More than a year later, and my heart still went all soft and mushy just by looking at Ethan do what he does best. Gross, I know.

Suddenly, the caption felt far too revealing. I had hit two million Instagram followers recently, plenty of which were also Ethan’s. Did I really want to expose bits and pieces of our relationship? I mean, it’s not like we interact a lot online, anyway. We liked to keep some things private. I copied the original caption, and then deleted it apart from the hearts. Then, I made the photo public. I sent the words to him in a Twitter DM instead, knowing he wouldn’t see it until much later.

He sat back down in his seat a couple minutes later, looking back at the footage he just recorded on his camera. I glanced at him once, and then continued looking through my phone.

“Love you,” I said softly and mindlessly.

He suddenly looked up, as if I didn't say that all the time, just loud enough so he could catch it. I saw him look at me through my peripherals, I could tell he was blushing.

“Love you too,” he replied, poking my cheek.

Finally, he put his camera down and pulled out his phone. Neither of us said anything more, but I was somewhat anxiously awaiting him to notice either my DM or my Instagram post. Somehow, just silently sitting next to each other while scrolling on our phones became one of my favorite pastimes.

“Aww,” he mumbled at one point.

I glanced over his shoulder once, only to see a flash of Jack and Signe on his Twitter feed. Why hadn't he seen his DMs yet? What was taking him so long?

Feeling uncharacteristically mushy, I lied my head on his shoulder. He smelled good, and he was soft and cuddly as ever. I was suddenly missing our short time alone back in the hotel room. We wouldn't be alone together until next month, and it suddenly seemed like a difficult challenge.

Last month, when the tour went West, Ethan and I did a full three sixty. Instead of angrily texting each other and crying in bathroom stalls, we were sexting and getting it on in the dressing room, the bathroom, and even once in my bunk when everyone else was asleep. It showed just how strong we had gotten over the last few months. But because of those raunchy activities from not only tour but also when we were home, I went to great lengths to make sure my birth control hadn't failed me. I didn’t have any symptoms, apart the usual anxiety nausea, but I still worked up the courage to schedule a doctor’s appointment prior to tour. So far, my uterus wasn’t occupying anything I didn’t want it to.

Ethan put his arm around me just as mindlessly as when I said I loved him. He was still scrolling on his phone, now on Instagram. This time, I saw him scroll up to my post, and he made a noise of protest.

“When did you take that?” he asked, showing me the plane selfie.

“When do you think?” I asked in response. “You have the best sleeping face.”

He chuckled. “You know you’re the only person who tells me that? Everyone else says it’s creepy.”

“I mean it is,” I said, half joking. “But you’re my boyfriend, and I always think you’re cute. Even when you sleep with your eyes half open.”

Ethan blushed and ducked his head a little. He always grew a little timid when I complimented or praised him. It was equally parts adorable and frustrating, because he never took the compliment.

“Stop,” he said softly.

“Have you checked your DMs?” I asked, unable to wait any longer.

He gave me a look and then went to open the app. “Well, what did you send me now…?” he asked in a funny voice.

I busied myself with intertwining my fingers with his. Then I kissed his hand and waited for him to read my sappy message.

“Aw…” He smiled. He was speaking very softly, like he didn't want the people sitting around us to hear. “That's real sweet… real cute…”

“I was gonna post that on Instagram, but decided that only you can hear things like that,” I replied in a voice just as soft. “And it's not just today, I feel that every day.”

“Aahhhh,” he groaned, now scooping me up in his arms.

Except, he did it in a way so my back was to his chest, and my head hung out in the walkway of the shuttle, capturing the attention of some of the people around us.

“Hey,” I said to Tyler, who was sitting in front of us.

“What’s up?” he replied casually. “Just hanging, I see?”

“Just hanging,” I repeated.

“Whatcha doing, Bella?” asked Mark from a couple of rows behind.

I turned my head and saw him with his vlogging camera. My cheeks reddened a little bit. “I’m not here by choice!”

“She said nice things and deserved hugs!” Ethan said.

“God, we’re gross,” I said under my breath before I was let go.

My trip to Missouri.

July 20th - July 22nd

I took the greyhound bus, for two days. I got there on the 22′nd. I met a few people and talked with them on the bus, had a couple rude bus drivers and was very anxious because this was my first time going to another state by myself.  Nor had I ever met any one of my friends that I knew online.

July 22nd

Ashley went with her brother Richie and his wife Christa to come pick me up in Sikeston. We talked and smoked weed while in the car on the way to her house when I had finally got there her house mate Cora got to meet me. She lived in a free house, you had to use a bucket that you fill with water to flush the toilet. I felt a bit awkward at first but eventually warmed up to them

July 23rd

We didn’t do much this day other than driving around with Richie and Christa while smoking and listening to music. Also talking about everything pretty much.

July 24th

This day I met her parents, and the guy she likes Bradly. She went to go help clean her parent's house, so I was left alone with Cora. I played video games and even talked with Cora, she bragged about this guy named Kyle that she was fucking. Later that day we went over to Brad’s and smoked weed while talking about stupid shit.

July 25th

We pretty much, just went swimming a lot and smoked a lot of weed. As well as just talking about things.

July 26th

Vans warped tour in St. Louis. We ended up running late because her parents acted as if they didn’t know about the concert when the whole point of me being there was for us to go to the concert. There was a lot of fighting going on and her mom apparently booked a doctor’s appointment that day and her dad didn’t want to drive us. so they had to call Richie, get him to leave work and take us to the concert. I ended up missing a few bands that I wanted to see because we got there around 4ish maybe, but I did enjoy that time there with her. she got to see one of her favourite rappers and get her shirt signed by him, I tried my hardest to get her to let loose and jump around with the crowd but she wouldn’t. When we got home, we went to Brad's told him about the concert and ended up smoking.

July 27th

Because of my chronic illnesses. I was really tired after the concert and ended up sleeping most of the day. I did eventually have to wake up and do my testosterone shot, but that day a lot of drama was going on about kyle and brad. I tried ignoring it and watched game of thrones, later that night the power had gone out while we were sitting in Cora’s room just talking about kyle and brad.

July 28th

It started off as a lazy day, I was writing stories on wattpad and Ashley was playing games on her ps4. It wasn’t until Cora’s mother came to the house and started yelling at cora for not replying to her text message fast enough, the fight got out of hand and cora’s mother called Ash a drug addict and claimed that she did dope. Ashley was pissed off, she left her parents house to get away from this type of bullshit only to be thrown into more bullshit. So we packed up her things and moved her back into her parents house. We went swimming after awhile, I ended up facetiming my mother and seeing my dog, than later on we got into the car with Richie and Cristia to smoke. We even were drinking a bit that night too.

July 29th

Richie and Christa woke us up, they sat on the bed and had a smoke with Ash. Her uncle came over and I gotto meet him, eventually having an awkward convo about if I was gay or if I was dating Ashley. He than took us into town to get a blunt, and richie and christa came back to the house, I played some video games and watched tv before we eventually went over to brads, got into his car smoked for a bit and talked about shit. We got back and they went swimming, after Ashley got changed and I was about to go to bed. Brad texted asking if we wanted to smoke some more, I agreed to go and we stayed at his house until around 3 am.

July 30th

Ashley and I went by the bridge, we were talking and taking pictures. Before we went over to cora and hung out with her. Richie and Christa came by, had deep convo’s with Christa before we all ended having a punching fest that included Ashley’s father. it was my last night there, We went to brads and smoked. Which ended up having us spend the night over at his house, but while they were being all lovey dovy cora was texting me. Being all bitter and was trying to get me to leave Ashley and go hang out with her. I ended up getting out of bed and stepping outside, blasting music in my ears and looking up at the night sky. I was depressed about leaving but I was mainly depressed about not getting to see my bf. This caused me to cry last night, i eventually went back in and told them what happened and why i left.

July 31st

Woke up at brad’s, we ended up leaving his house and went walking towards the bridge again, but before that we stopped by Cora;s and talked with her. She came along with us to the bridge. When we were living i was walking slowly behind them and listening to music, just thinking about my bf. I guess while that was happening Cora was saying stupid shit to Ash and pissing her off, because when Ash and I were walking home she was talking to me about it. Ash played games and smoked with me before her uncle took me back to sikeston so i could get on my bus.

Aug 1st

I had a rude bus driver for awhile until got to dallas and got on a differnet bus. But a guy sat next to me who was an offender of ome sort so it said on his id, im thinking sex offender. It made me uncomfortable because he was takling to this five year old girl named Nattie and drawing her pictures. He eventually got off and she was talking to me, i showed her my camera and she took a few pictures. it was a fuji 8 cam, she sat next to me and asked to listen to music. I handed her my headphones and played disney music until she fell asleep.

Aug 2nd

Most of the time i was sleeping or listening to music, but when I got to L.A i ended up stressing really badly because I lost my ticket and when i went to see  iI could get it re-printed out they told me no and that i had to buy a new one. So i had to spend 77 dollars for a one way ticket to San jose, i was annoyed even more so when the bus came an hour late. I had a huge panic attack while i was there waiting for the bus. But i finally made it home around midnight.

Not long ago, I heard that you just back from going travel. Is there any place that you feel need to go if you travel overseas again?

 I want to go a flowers market  and market that open during weekends. It almost same in all countries but the feels is different. Not long ago when I was in Amsterdam the unnie travelled with me searched a bakery shop around there, I went with her and the bread was so delicious. 

What's the first things you do when you arrive your destination? Exploring the neighbourhood or shopping?

I will start by sightseeing. I will go to a museum or just walk freely on the street. Instead of having a tight travel schedule, I like to walk through the narrow alleys and enjoy the sights like a person who lives there. If take look on your instagram you shares a lot of song. What song that you keep playing in your playlist right now? 

Recently Coldplay have a visit (concert) in Korea. I missed the chances to get tickets for a first day but I managed to get tickets for second day through a phone bookings.I wait for the tickets to come for a long time. I'm so happy through the whole concert. I totally fallen in love. Coldplay stage performance was very very cool, so was the sea of light formed by the large crowd of audience. I figure out the reason why there is no foreign artist who comes to Seoul just for once but artists who have yet to visit. 

You give feels like your life was so full or pack. When is the most happy moment for you? 

When I'm in front of the camera (acting). But I feel that preparations for this time will be taking a little bit longer. I know that fans was asking me to come back earlier with any work but looks like this time will take a lot of time. 

What kind of movie is <Silent Witness > 

It's a crime thriller movie. It covers the story of the murder of a famous female singer who is also the fiancée of Im Tae San, a man who owns the world and his daughter being accused as the suspect. I am the righteous and visionary defendant of the daughter. She is an upright with a clear moral compass character. 

What attracts you to do this character? 

You will know If you go watch the movie after it been released, what I can say there's a lot up and down emotions of Hee-jung in that movie. The transformation of Hee-jung facing the reality is attractive and appealing to me. I think through Hee-jung I will show you a new side of me.

Your latest characters; e.g. lawyer, doctor, Judo coach, are all upright, righteous and with clear moral standards. What are your criteria when choosing a work? 

Characters which show the lacking sides of me or I would like to resemble. Though it may seem idealistic, they are the people who should exist in a world that I dream of. While being attracted to stories of these characters whom I would like to become, I am also drawn to the other storylines in the scenario. I didn’t deliberately choose to take up roles with clear moral compass, but now I look back, there seemed to be many.(Laugh) 

Working among competent actors like Choi Min Sik and  Ryu Jun Yeol, when is the most impressive/unforgettable moment during filming? 

It should be the scenes in court since all actors were gathered in one place. The fact the I acted with Choi Min Sik Sunbaenim(senior actor) face to face was already a great honor. Though I was very nervous, Choi Sunbaenim encouraged me a lot and gave me great strength.

Even though you are a veteran actress who could have good chemistry with any actor, the inspiration and stimulation you received when working with great actor Choi Min Sik and New actor/idol Do Kyung So in “Hyung” should be different. 

Sure. Acting with Choi was more nervous. I was shaking a lot. But somehow I could follow his pace while acting with him (It is like the senior actor leads the junior actor to immerse in the scene which brings out better synergy/performances from both). Choi not only complimented me, he also offered me plenty of advices so that I no longer felt scared/uneasy. Choi was very humorous when the day’s shooting was finished and so I had a pleasant time during the whole film shooting. Do Kyung Soo is an actor to me. I find it fascinating when he performs hard on stage. He worked very hard for his acting. During the filming, he had a lot of overseas schedule. The way he managed to survive the busy schedule and still committed to the film made me look back at myself. It was a good motivation for me. He is a brilliant friend.

From interviews for many actors, most of them take a long time getting out from the character and when there is no work, they don’t know what to do and feel empty. How are you dealing with it? 

 There were times when it was hard to get out from the character. I was also like that. During preparation for the drama/film, I exercise, practise my acting and even giving ideas of the clothing style. There are too many things going so I got no time to feel these emotions.  Yet, when the work is over, it feels like “Park Shin Hye” as a person losts 3-5 months’ time out of a year. It feels weird when I open my eyes in the morning at home where I usually wake up. I have been in a noisy shooting site for quite a while; I feel lonely and empty when I suddenly find myself in a place where there is nothing. I take a long time to return to my normal life.

What do you mostly do when you got no work? 

I shoot advertisements and meet friends that I didn’t meet. This time I travelled a lot. It was a time for recharging my energy. It was a grateful and happy time.

Last question. You always show your cheerful and healthy side. Is there a thought/ way of thinking or charm which always stay in your mind that helps you to keep up the spirit? 

 I pray. Don’t be overwhelmed/shaken by the rules of the world. I am often timid/lack of confidence too though I seem cheerful. There are a lot of times that I collapse alone. However, I try hard not to be depressed for a long time. At times like that, I exercise even harder and travel more. I gain strength from people around me. This will not be possible if  I don’t  have my agency family and friends. I am so grateful because of that.

Okay, so the idea for the Cloak of Levitation came about during Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con. Some friends and I were talking about the Doctor Strange movie and we mentioned how the Cloak was the best part of the movie. It was at that point I realized I wanted to BE the Cloak and then we were joking around and coming up with all these ridiculous ideas on how to build the Cloak and what i could do for photos and with other con goers. Thus the Cloak of Levitation cosplay idea was born !

I actually had the Cloak commissioned by my friend Nichole [ see interview with her at end of article.] We met up a few times to discuss how I wanted the Cloak to look like, it was then that we realized how many different versions of the Cloak existed. Between the MCU, the multiple Comic Book versions, and the shows, we had to figure out which Cloak to go with. We decided to go with the seaming from the movie, the gold trim and the pointed collar from the comics. After that we were discussing how I was going to wear the Cloak. We decided to keep the magic alive and make sure that I couldn’t be seen at all, so we went with this tent idea. Nichole and her friends at Trail Products Inc. designed a PVC harness for me to wear along with a back pack and a kidney belt. Without them this cosplay wouldn’t be as amazing as it was!

The reactions that I was receiving at Wondercon was just… absolutely MIND BLOWING! People were coming up to me left and right asking for photos or just wanted to compliment the costume. Like, the moment I walked up to the RFID scanners people were saying things and pointing me out. I actually had very good visibility from inside the Cloak, so I was able to notice when people had their phones and cameras out. Im just absolutely blown away by everyones reaction. This is my first REAL cosplay and it started off as a bunch of my friends an I joking around, and i was getting stopped consistently. For someone who normally acts as a Handler or ConMom, this was a completely different experience. I really don’t know how to put it into proper words,

Oh god, there were so many amazing moments that happened with con goers - especially with every single Doctor Strange cosplayer I found. There was one Doctor Strange cosplayer that crossed my path in the exhibit hall and we just basically ran into each others arms. It was great! Another one happened with one of my Cosplay idols / Friend. Amberskies Cosplay and I had a moment on Saturday where we just danced together like that scene from Sleeping Beauty during "Once Upon A Dream". There is actually a video of it on her Instagram, it was absolute magic!

Oh, I ran into an Edna Mode cosplayer from the Incredibles on Saturday and we recorded her yelling at me “NO CAPES!” I just couldn’t help it, it was too perfect! Actually I think one of my favorite reactions was from one of Convention Center employees on day 1. A friend of mine was getting her badge, so I was hanging outside of Hall D waiting of her. The lady who was working kept yelling “IF YOU’RE PICKING UP YOUR LANYARDS HEAD DOWN TO THE DOUBLE DOORS ON THE RIGHT” and she kept pointing behind her. So i decided to be a complete dork and help direct foot traffic until my friend came out. We were laughing cause people couldn’t figure out if I worked for the Con, was a prop on display when i wasn’t moving, or what. But all the staff that was around just went with it and we had a good time! There are literally so many moments that stand out to me while I was wearing the Cloak, and it’s those moments are ones I will always hold on to!

Honestly, If it weren’t for the Con/Cosplay scene, I can’t say I’d be around right now. I know that sounds really dark, but I was just getting out of a really bad relationship where my nerdiness was consider a fault. I was trying to build my self out of this depressive state I was in and just decided to go to a Con (Comikaze Expo 2015) and I met people and just….felt at home. I was rediscovering who I was a person, as a nerd, just everything I needed. Throughout out this time, I found some of my closest friends, and the best people around. So when I’m asked how many parties I go to, or “OMG YOU’RE FRIENDS WITH THIS PERSON” or why am I into this nerd crap. All I tell them is this is where I found myself and where my family is. All of us are just big ol’ nerds/dorks/geeks that just want to express our love for our favorite characters and fandoms. And the support that is in this community is just MIND BLOWING! The Con scene helped develop the person I am now and the family i have grown to love!

When Chelsea first came to me with the proposal I knew this would be a fun and challenging build. First we sat down and decide on the aesthetic design of the cloak, as it changes between the comics, tv shows, and movie. We decided we liked the seaming in the movie and the gold trim and pointed collar of the comics and shows.

From there we spent a day in the fashion district picking out fabrics to achieve the look, including some of my favorite upholstery fabric as the base, an aged gold pleather and a loosely woven poly linen from Shavali Fabrics. We made a mock up and patterned out the swirling seaming on the cloak, and then the fun began of piecing the puzzle back together in the final fabrics, all sewn with french seams for strength and to imitate the piping that the movie cloak has.

Then I crafted the collar using 1/8th plastic sheeting that I heat shaped to look as if someone was wearing the cloak. The frame to support it was built with the help of Trail Products Inc, we built a PVC system that attached to the plastic plate in the cloak's shoulders that was supported with a custom back back and kidney belt. The cloak is actually 2 cloaks sewn at the sides to hide Chelsea which we modeled after the Magic Carpet from Disney's Aladdin Live at the Hyperion. I also crafted the wing details on the next from foam, spray paint and acrylic detailing for depth. A fun fact is there is over 16 yards of fabric that went into making this costume!

Rika felt a sense of satisfaction

She got off being the one everyone considered the most

sure, she lead MC to the RFA

sure she made a lot of trouble for MC and the rest of the members

But the one thing she did not want anyone to forget or even ever know really was

it also meant she could take her out of rfa with ease

And they wouldn't ever know it was her or care if all went to her plan

From the last time MC invited Yoosung over, he remembered where she now lived

Why didn't I visit her sooner?

Yoosung made his way to her building, knocking repeatedly and waiting for a response

Where is she? It's almost midnight…

He almost gave up when she didnt answer either calls, text, or the door

Rika! Yoosung was surprised to see his cousin walk by

“Yoosung, what are you doing here so late?”

I came to see if MC is okay, shes been MIA for a while

“She’s fine! I talked to her not too long ago and she said that she was going to visit her family for a few weeks. I forgot to tell you guys about it too… sorry.”

It’s fine, don’t worry about it! Though, it would have been better if she told us herself…

“I dont know the details, but something about one of her family members being recently diagnosed with a terminal illness.. Yeah, it was terrible. She said they started to cough blood and she went to go help them through the process. Poor MC.”

You’re genuinely concerned for MC, you’re so nice Rika.

“Ofc, shes a memeber of the rfa too!”

Sorry, its just i know you dont know her that much, but im glad you guys get along well. Do you know when she’ll be back?

“I think after the funeral. Though it may be longer since i dont know how shell be okay after all of that. Next time we talk, ill ask her, okay? How about we go visit V? Im sure hes awake and wouldnt mind if you came over for a sleep over”

Yoosung felt like a huge boulder had been lifted from his shoulders now that he knew MC was physically okay

He felt bad that she didnt tell anyone that she was leaving to tend to a sick family member

But he felt that he would forgive her since she seemed more of a private person

I should get her a gift basket when she comes back; poor MC will be greiving when she returns- I could add chocolates and that coffee she likes with an uber soft blanket. Yeah, i wil do that for sure when RIka tells me when she comes back

Yoosung wanted to be a shoulder for MC when she came back since she was there for him when Rika was gone

he wanted to prove to her and himself and RIka that he was more than just a college student who played a lot of video games; that he was also a capable man

Rika: I am afraid so. From what I know, they are really ill that it is now deemed terminal.

Zen: Oh man, i really thought something happened to MC

Rika: What do you mean?

Zen: I dont know, I thought maybe she got bored of us and left us or something happened to her health wise. I hope she knows that we are all here for her when she comes back

Rika: Dont jinx anything! I’ll let her know though that you were worried whenever we talk again ^^

Jahee: Please do. Id feel much better though if I could talk to her soon. Do you think you can let her know to call me please?

Rika: I will pass the message along!

And it seems highly unlikely that she would just leave without explaining the situation

Though if the rest of rfa should know she didnt feel like she had a place to tell them

She did abandon MC just like the rest did

She wont deny that what the rfa did to MC was abandon her at a time she would have needed them 

despite all MC probably gave up to help them 

But she didnt want anyone to be in the unknown

Although, she didn't know if Rika was lying or telling the truth maybe rika did know mc was sick and didnt want to tell because MC said so

Jahee didnt want to risk anything by letting the cat out of the bag cringing

For now all she felt like she could do was gather as much as she could about people with pneumonia 

She would look into it since that was all Mr. Han told her

Maybe find some coffee as well for MC and maybe chocolates as she thinks about pleading for forgiveness

He had no right to act like he should care for MC anymore

The moment they all left her, everyone in the rfa lost all the rights to care for MC

The only thing he could do was offer her the best treatment possible when he found out what she had it made him very uncomfortable to not know what she was suffering from

aside from the stabbing pains of being betrayed that he couldn't fix for her

but that was only if Seven could find a way into breaking MC out of there

But he knew the longer they waited the worse she would get

When he saw MC through the camera on Sevens screen, he knew he never wanted to know what it felt to lose someone again

After he though rika died, he felt like his world tipped over

But if he loses MC, he knows he wont ever have a reason to go on living with himself

He did find comfort knowing that MC never seemed to have had lost her personality and all that made her so easy to be around

By the looks of it, it was all thanks to Paco who never seemed to leave her side

“I want her out of there as soon as possible as well, okay?”

Jumin was taken back with how Seven snapped

“Dont let it get to you, he always gets like this”  the famous ‘Vanderwood’ who leaned on the side of the wall said

I dont want to know

He decided he didnt want to get into what Seven did on his own time also bc ‘Miss’ Vanderwood was slightly scaring him

“Just get the IP address so we can get there and go”

“I cant just do that! Well, I can but there seems to be more stuff this guy is feeding me atm and its all about MC”

“Look at it when you get her out of there! Poor girl must be seconds away from kicking the stupid bucket”

Excuse me?

“DOnt take it to heart, he gets angry when he has to wait before a job”

“Shut the fuck up, I still have my taser, you oaf”

What do you mean hes feeding you?

“I mean, this Unknown guy wants her found but for some odd reason he cant let her go… idk myself, but it looks like hes just doing his job”

Isnt that a good thing then? That means we can get MC out faster

Jumins heart stopped for a millisecond thinking that MC died

When he didnt see anything abnormal on the screen that showed MC he was confused

But looking at what Seven saw

Watching RIka give MC injections of unknown substances made him physically want to scream

Why would she do that?

What was she even giving MC?

Where is Unknown?

“Damn, white loaf can really go on strong” he ignored Vanderwoods snide comment focusing on V holding MC down so Rika could give her another injection

“Let’s go now Seven, no more playing around!”

Okay okay, let me just get this on my laptop so we can watch as we go

“If we take my helicopter we could be there quicker”

Yeah lets do that

Seven was in a daze

As he looked into the breadcrumbs Unknown was giving him

He began to wonder why Unknown even took MC away if he was going to help them in the end

Unless he too was forced into do this all

But why would Rika do this? What could she gain from this?

“Please dont”

Seven turned to look at Jumin who looked at him when they heard MC’s voice

“Ready or not here it comes~” Rika sang

“You both may want to look away” Seven heard Vanderwood say before turning away

Not once had he ever looked away from the screen while on the job

You begged her to stop

Whatever it was, it wasn't the same anymore

You began to remember names and faces but you couldn't match them together

Please stop this, it hurts!

“Sweetie, you're dying anyways, this is me being merciful and helping you go faster. Be thankful.”

What about that other stuff? What was that other stuff?

“It will all be over quickly if you just listen to her, please MC”

You turn to look at the stranger with the sunglasses: who’s MC?

Am I MC? Are they talking to me ?

You think you know them but you can't match any faces or names at all

“I'd ask if you have any last words you want me to give to someone but at this point, you probably don't know if you have any friends or family “

You shake your head trying to think

Somewhere someone has to know who you are

Why can't I talk?

You panic; thrashing your body away from the woman and man

“Stop it!” You hear it before you feel a stinging sensation on your cheek

“Like I said,you're already dying “ the woman says as she huffs for air

The look on her face scares you

It looks like she's enjoying whatever is happening

“You should never talk to strangers “ you feel the weight of something hard crash on you holding your face down on the now cold floor

The pressure intensifies making your head build more pressure like it will explode

“Rika, that's too much” you hear the man from earlier

Help me please! you silently beg 

You wonder why he doesn't help you

You feel something stab your shoulder

Then you don't feel anything at all

They all were pissing him off

The rush to get to where this girl was chaotic

He was used to the silence that Seven would accompany him with

but he didnt want to make Rika any worse than she already was

He knew 707 or Jumin must have caught on by now 

with the help he got from Unknown, he knew they would make it but not soon enough

He made sure that whatever happened; it would all be on him 

Even if MC may never wake up again

even if Rika would spend a lot of time in the hospital 

even if Jumin and everyone in the RFA should come to hate him

even if he should become the villain; 

he would do whatever it takes to preserve Rika’s legacy and love and pride

He just needed for MC to hold onto life 

She was already sick 

and the medication he had replaced with the medication Rika wanted Unknown to give her seemed to have been working 

He made sure Unknown gave her the treatment she needed

But he didnt anticipate for Rika to inject her with a strong dose of whatever she had made for MC

By the looks of it 

it definitely was not the same that he had Unknown give her

Any minute now, it would all be over 

one way or another, MC would no longer suffer

He knew that by lying to Rika he was compromising his safety as well as Saeyoung’s

But he couldnt kill MC slowly

not with what RIka had made for her 

No. 

Instead, he made sure he gave her the medication she needed 

he made sure that Saeyoung would find the bread crumbs he left 

He expected Rika to pull something big for the finally so he made MC an antidote to what Rika had 

he didnt give it to her yet but he would have to leave it for Saeyoung to find if Paco didnt find a way of getting the vile out of his jacket before they got to MC

All he needed now was to find a way to make amends 

To MC and to everyone else 

but he would do that after he found a way to forgive himself and Saeyoung 

because if he didnt make him hate him; none of this would have happened 

and MC would have had treatment for this and have never been involved 

When would Saeyoung see how toxic both were to everyone else?

Especially to someone good and simplistic and perfectly normal like MC. 

Did Saeyoung even know?

Did his brother know how toxic both brothers were to everyone?

Like how toxic they were to one another.

I can't look at my boyfriend's Instagram any more by gregsgurl2001

A week ago, my boyfriend Greg went on holiday to Greece with his family. It was the first time we’d been apart from each other in the six months we’d been dating, and I was missing him terribly.

Before he left, we spent the evening together. I was tearful and needy, and when it came time for him to leave, I didn’t want him to go.

“Make sure you take lots of photos,” I said, sniffling my way through the request. “Keep me updated. I wanna see what a great time you’re having.”

Greg smiled. “Got a surprise for you. Check your Instagram.”

I pulled up the app on my phone. Sure enough, I’d been followed by a new account; the display picture was myself and Greg. I was kissing his cheek.

“Dude no way, you got an account!” I exclaimed with joy. I maybe loved the photo sharing app a little too much. And now Greg, the guy who sneered at selfies and ridiculed people for posting photos of their dinner, had joined me on the platform.

“Yeah, figured I might as well,” he said. “Can’t fight progress forever.”

And so as his vacation began, I found myself glued to his Instagram account. We talked, of course, by text and via email, but seeing him having fun meant a lot to me. There were photos from the airport, photos on the plane, photos when he touched down in Greece. A photo of Greg and his family - his mom, dad and sister Sarah gathered round as Greg held the phone out in front of them.

I made sure to Like them all, and comment on every one. A bunch of our friends had followed Greg too, and as usual with Instagram, he quickly accrued a number of strangers following him as well.

‘Miss my hot boy xxx’ I posted on a particularly stunning selfie of Greg striding topless across golden Greek sands.

‘Your mom is SO CUTE <3 <3 <3 xxx’ I squealed, at a picture of the two of them together.

‘Lol, look at that guy looming in the background xxx’ I remarked, on a picture of Greg, Sarah and their dad standing in a square in Athens.

That night, Greg was able to call me for the first time since he’d gotten to Greece. We engaged in the usual lovey dovey greetings, talked about how much we missed each other, that sort of thing. I listened as Greg told me about some of the legends he’d met in Greece; a few of older college kids who were on vacation from the States, an old French guy who claimed to be a famous author but wouldn’t say who, and Greek girl he and Sarah had met, Karis, who Sarah had become fast friends with.

“Make sure you post plenty of photos of them on Instagram!” I exclaimed enthusiastically.

Greg hesitated for a moment, as if thinking about something. “Uh, speaking of Instagram, I could not see that guy you were talking about,” he said, laughing nervously.

“Oh I dunno if he was a guy really,” I said. “Just some figure looming in a doorway right in the back. Not really a big deal.”

I could imagine Greg shrugging. “Babe. I am missing you so much,” he said. “You wanna know what I’m really missing about you?”

I giggled. I could guess. Greg proved me right, and we engaged in a bit of flirty talk for a while until finally he said “Oh shit, I gotta go” and that was that.

The next day I waited eagerly for eleven AM my time, the usual time that Greg got back to the hotel of a Greek evening and was able to access the wifi to upload his pics.

There were a number of beautiful landscapes, some tourist spots near Athens, a few picture of Greg’s new buddies. Then there was a picture of Greg, Sarah and a girl who was tagged as Karis.

I was so enamored with the cuteness of the photo that I almost didn’t notice the figure in the background of the photo. The selfie had been taken with the camera pointing down a street, and behind the trio stood a dark, shadowy figure who appeared to be approaching them, maybe thirty feet away. I squinted, confused. The lighting and shadows didn’t match up with how the figure appeared. It was as if they and only they were enshrouded in darkness. It was weird. A costume, maybe?

I commented on the post. ‘Omg there’s another dark figure. Watch out, baby! Can’t wait for you to be back and in my arms… and elsewhere ;) xxxxx’

An hour or so later, Greg replied to my comment. ‘Lol u and ur dark figures. U cant fool me. Cant wait to kiss u again baby ;;;;) x’

I began to suspect that Greg had doctored the photos somehow to tease me. I was the kind of girl who’d shriek and cling on to him if a movie got even a little scary.

I didn’t hear from Greg for another day. When his next batch of Instagram photos went up, a chill crept up my spine.

In all of the photos showing Greg, there was a dark shadowy figure. The locations changed, but the figure didn’t. The photos had been posted chronologically, and I could see that over the course of the day, the figure had gotten closer. I still couldn’t make out any details. It was as if the camera itself wasn’t able to process whoever - or whatever - this figure was.

I heard creaking outside my room and gooseflesh prickled my skin. From my phone’s screen, the figure seemed to glare out at me, peering over Greg’s shoulder, looking at me.

More creaking. My heart thundered. When my bedroom door swung open, I let out a scream, crawling backwards up my bed. My dad stood there looking bemused.

“Am I really that scary honey?” he asked. “Anyway, just thought I’d let you know mom and I are out for the evening.”

I nodded, not trusting myself to speak. Why was I so freaked out by what was probably a dumb joke by Greg? I snatched up my phone, resolute. The most recent photo showed Greg and Sarah with some guys. The figure was just behind the group, maybe a couple feet away at most.

‘Seriously whos that guy? Its freaking me out lol, it’s not funny. Call me when u can, love u bb xxxxx’

Shortly after, Greg replied to my comment. ‘Idk what youre talking about lol, its freaking ME out tho haha, i cant see anyone??? No phone reception text me plz xxxxx’

I texted Greg ‘hello’ and waited. Thirty minutes later, the message hadn’t even been read. I flicked back to Instagram, looking to study the photos again.

A new selfie had been uploaded. Greg and Sarah standing in a bustling street at night, lit by the warm glow from a nearby restaurant. They were both pulling dumb faces for the camera.

I didn’t see the figure at first, but when I noticed it, I let out a gasp and dropped my phone. My hands shaking, I retrieved the device and looked closer.

The figure was clearly right behind them now. It looked to be at least six feet tall, if not bigger. It towered over Greg and Sarah, framed directly between them. I wasn’t sure; it was so blurry, so out of focus, but it looked like the figure was raising an arm, reaching towards them…

I texted Greg again. He still hadn’t read my first message. ‘Please reply,’ I said.

Then, back to Instagram. And another photo. My blood ran cold.

Greg and Sarah were sitting with a lake at their back, moonlight dancing off the water. Both their eyes were open wide in surprise; not fear, not yet, but shock all the same.

I couldn’t see what their mouths were doing. They were both covered, each by a shadowy hand clamped over their jaws. I could just about make out the details of the figure’s fingers now.

This had to be a prank. It had to be. It had to be edited, or one of the college boys they’d met.

Tears stung my eyes. Fucking text me back, Greg!

I texted him yet again, imploring him to contact me. My messages remained unread.

A new photo had appeared on Instagram. It was the same bench, the same lake. But there was nobody in the photo. No indication of who was holding the camera. No sign of Greg and Sarah. Had Greg simply taken a photo of the lake? That meant he was okay, right?

I studied the photo. I froze suddenly, a cry forming in my throat. There, far into the lake, but unmistakable now I’d noticed it, stood the tall shadowy figure. It had its arms down by its sides, its hands hovering just above the surface of the water, palms flat, pointing downwards.

It was hard to see. So, so hard to see. But the more I looked, the more I was sure. The figure’s hands were resting on top of two heads. Two heads which it held under the water.

I began to panic. What should I do? Call the cops? Here, or in Greece? I had absolutely no idea how to reach any Greek authorities, and what if even after all this, Greg was playing a prank on me?

I texted him yet again. ‘This isnt funny. Text me back. Please. Im so scared right now. Please.’

30 seconds later, the receipts showed that my messages had been read. I let out the biggest sigh of relief I’ve ever given. I started laughing and crying at the same time. I could see Greg was typing.

‘Lol sorry’ he said. ‘Everything is fine. Just a prank.’

I couldn’t stop laughing, crying, seething with anger and gasping with relief.

‘Send me a selfie. Just for me,’ I said. ‘I need to see your face. I need to know you’re okay.’

‘You first ;)’ Greg replied. Even then, despite it all, Greg was pushing his luck as usual. I sighed, wiping my eyes. I had no energy to argue. Easier if I just did what he wanted. I snapped a quick picture of my face, my eyes wide and still gleaming wetly, then sent it to him.

I waited for his response, staring at my face on the screen. When I noticed it, the copper taste of adrenaline flooded my mouth. My breath caught in my throat.

There, reflected in my eyes, as if standing opposite me in my room, was a shadowy figure. My gaze flicked up to the wall, heart pounding. Nobody, of course. I was alone. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end.

My phone vibrated in my hand. I looked down, and I screamed, and I don’t think I stopped screaming for a full five minutes.

The photo had been taken underwater, somehow. In it, Greg and Sarah were suspended there, hair floating loosely in the water. Their eyes were open, unseeing, mouths hanging slack.

Between them floated the figure. But it wasn’t a shadow now. It was bald, its skin waxy and smooth even underwater. Wide yellow eyes with pinpoint irises stared back at me over a nub of a nose. A thin, elongated mouth was stretched out into a half smile. One bony finger, ending in a sharp talon, was pressed against its lips in a ‘sssshhhh’ gesture.

I haven’t forgotten the terror of what happened next to this day. In the photo, the still photo on my screen, the creature blinked at me. Our eyes met, separated by distance and technology. It lowered its finger from its mouth, blinked again, smiled wider, pursed its lips at me in a strange grimace, then with one graceful motion, turned and swum away, leaving the floating bodies of Greg and Sarah bobbing in their underwater graves.

Greg and Sarah were found the next day on the bank of the lake, drowned. Mom and Dad discovered it from Greg’s parents and broke the news to me gently, but I already knew. Of course I knew.

The photo in my text messages is just a blur, now. You can’t see Greg, Sarah or anyone. And Greg’s Instagram, well, it’s gone entirely. Like it was never there.

But when I look at the selfie I took for Greg, well, that’s still there. And every time I look, it’s changed a little bit. Just a bit, but a change nonetheless. You see, with each passing hour, the figure reflected in my eyes gets closer.

I looked just now. He’s nearly reached me. I can see his wide yellow eyes reflected in mine.

Maybe if I don’t look again, I’ll be okay.

Jaeger Recruits

I wandered in a circle, around City E’s Fountain. Being the 0 point target means i have to wait 30 minutes into the 60 minutes allotted to the wannabe heroes combat test. 29 minutes passed. Then 56 seconds, 55, 54… Oh this is so boring. My nice, silky brown suit keeps my attention. How it grips to my body and keeps me cool in any weather, oh it is lovely. The yellow button up is a little rough, but I don't mind. To be honest im surprised no heroes made it to the center fountain. Are the sidekicks too much? Disappointing, I would have thought my fellow Jaegers made it tOH, 30 minutes!

I took in a huge breath, then yelled! “HELLO PARTY PEOPLE, I'M COMING OUT TO PLAY!” Perfect Mics voice is so much fun. And his quirk. I have the quirk sound replay. Any sound I hear, I can repeat at anytime. This quirk also copies direct vocal quirks. For example, Present Mics Voice quirk allows him to turn up his voice to pitches and volumes unbearable to the human ear. Others i have picked up include the singer Gloria Darius’s dance quirk. Her quirk causes anyone that hears her singing to dance uncontrollably. Anywhere she goes a rave soon starts. Oh, I also borrowed a UA Main’s Class 1 A voice. Koji Koda’s Anivoice. That reminds me, “Wolves, to Me.” 

Two wolves came out of neighboring buildings. Gray with white speckling, brown eyes, black pads on the bottom of their paws, truly powerful, and beautiful creatures. The wolves suddenly froze, then bent, growling, ready to pounce. I wondered why, a feeling of uneasiness falling on me. Then I saw him. A long, clawed hand reached out from behind a building, gracefully touching the ground, not making a sound. Soon the rest of him came forward, he was almost werewolf like in form, except for the lack of hair and significantly longer form.. The top half of his head, covered in that dark mirrored glass. Corvus had changed dramatically.

I smiled to myself. This quirk, bestial transformation, was taken from a criminal who had hunted civilian in state parks. Corvus had said, he tasted like a honeyed ham, sweet, salty, and delicious. Well I lost. He has 10 quirks, 8 of them are from villains I know that he ate. All known killers, his form of justice. I agreed with this system, and was inspired to form the Jaegers, murderer killers. We capture criminals who have not killed, and treat them normally, go through all the regular channels. However at those moments, we go with my hero agency, The Soundwave agency. Those who have killed however... we incapacitate and feed them to Corvus. It is... unique to watch.

Quirks he has gained, Bestial transformation, plasma sweat, animal: bulldog bat, electrical discharge, bladed extensions, alterable horns, piercing gaze, time dilation. Slight flaw, he can only use one at a time, and it takes him a couple minutes to switch between them. “Wolves, attack the beast.” One of the wolves burst into flames, and the other dissolved into water, moving towards Corvus. The water wolf reformed behind Corvus and leapt toward his back.

Corvus’s back leg kicked out and sent the wolf flying backwards into a building. A loud “YIP” was heard as the wolf hit the building and fell to the ground. “SMACK,” and the wolf was knocked out. Corvus swung his arms wildly, quickly, removing the flames from the other wolf. The fire wolf froze, before Corvus grabbed it, and threw it at me. I dodged out of the way but when the wolf hit the ground, it was out. I looked at Corvus but it was too late, he had leapt on top of me before I could react.

“So boss,” he snarled, drool, spraying all over my face, “Mind surrendering.” He cackled, more drool seeping from his mouth.

“Well, you forgot something pal, GET OFF ME!” Perfect mics quirk is nice, but using others vocal quirks damages my vocal chords. I have to be careful with how long I use them. Corvus tried to maintain his grip, but the noise caused him to recoil and release me. I scrambled away, ready to release another blast. Corvus stumbled and returned to his original form, his clothes ripped, and hanging on by mere strands. He has five minutes before he can switch quirks, meaning I have to work quickly. If he becomes his bulldog bat, i won't be able to defeat him. 

“Need a little help there,” a voice called from behind me. I turned, but before I could react, a palm slammed under my ribs, another to my throat, and another to my skull.  I froze instantly, paralyzed by some unseen force. A shirtless kid with baggy jeans, wild blonde hair, and observant gray eyes that looked over his work. “Paralyzed, and can't move an inch, God I love my power. You good over there?”

“I’m Fine,“ he said, frustrated. The corner of his mouth twitched, and I could feel his eyes on me. This was not how he intended it to end.

“Hah that's good! Thanks to you ill be getting some rescue points, see you round!” He bolted off looking for more heroes to take out and civilians that needed rescuing.. Corvus turned looking up at one of the cameras that covered the city. He knew the judges were watching, and he wanted them to know he had more, could have even beat me. However, thanks to this paralyzer, his chance at showing he was better than a pro was lost. Me and my blindsides, shouldn't have let my guard down so easily. When it comes to physical battles, I admit I’m not very adept. That is why I specialize in stealth rescues and… other missions.

Corvus walked back towards the direction of the entrance. After he passed by several buildings, i couldn't see him anymore. The test finished, and the paralyzation eventually wore off. Doctors took care of the injured sidekicks and hero wannabees. My injuries were only moderate and i refused treatment. The others who were uninjured or as stubborn as me had already returned home. I have some paperwork to deal with, so many wannabes, so many evenings spent getting our new students.

“Perspective Change. 2 weeks later.” “Corvus, got a new batch.” MockingBird Looked at me in his regular brown attire. I smiled. We were standing in his office in UA. It was rather plain, with most of the more basic features. Computer, pencils, file cabinets, paperwork, nothing personal. However he had a really nice pair of headphones. I guess if he adapts different noises to his voice, a good pair of headphones would make the sounds clearer.

“Come in recruits.” This year's UA hero wannabees had some rather, zealous heroes.” 5 people walked in, One a giant Wasp Woman, her many lenses staring at everything in the room, her expression unreadable, her 4 arms crossed in front of her. She had a primarily black and yellow color to her body, 4 massive colorful wings, a  heavy exoskeleton, and a massive stinger. Two more walked in, identical outfits: all black leather suits, black jeans, long black boots with black motorcycle helmets, and black gloves. Thermite walked in, a bored expression on his face, followed by the kid with the metal vomit quirk. 

“Welcome to UA heroes, or should i say Jaegers. Justice moves slowly, and is enacted incorrectly when it comes to murderers, so we must… move things along. A life for a life, and as we are the one who collects the payment we are never indebted.”

I spoke up, continuing the description. “We kill only when the enemy has, we will never kill when one hasn't killed, or has yet to kill. And we never kill while with other heroes, only as a pack do we hunt, reduces opportunity for our prey to escape, and for our pack to get captured/identified. We will only request your at night, once we have found some prey. Do you understand?” They nodded.

The wasp chirped from its mandibles, “We are ready to serve the ideal Stain has prepared for the world. Stain wouldn't just want the heroes to suffer, but also the villains that killed, and in doing this heroic work none shall reward us, the gift of a true hero.”

I turned to Mockingbird with a wide smile. “See, zealous.” He met my smile with an even larger one. “Let's remodel this world, and take justice into our own hands. Let us be the true heroes.”

Mockingbird turned from me and faced everyone. Then he spoke in the voice of All Might, “Let us hunt, true heroes. We must go beyond what society believes is good, and go Plus Ultra.”

“PLUS ULTRA!” Whenever he does that voices it slightly scares me. All might is intimidating, even if he is a hero, no wonder he was able to keep the villains back for so long. But with Corvus, i think it's time someone takes his place. I will eat any villain, take their powers, and become the new Symbol Of Peace! No… the Symbol of True Justice, Judge, Jury, Executioner. Ha! If you asked me last year if i would eat people for powers i would have said no. But as a form of Stains justice, and a new symbol is needed… you gotta do what you gotta do. And who knows, my quirk might grow in ways I haven't seen. I am getting hungry.
