I realised today that Childe's DnD alignment is lawful evil.
(which is hilarious because he's so chaotic neutral coded)

There is a lot to like about Symphogear, the characters are so much more than their designs. I love how Hibiki is basically constantly put through the ringer the entire series, yet refuses to stop being a person who cares but who cares so much for everyone. I love how Tsubasa is constantly trying to be the leader but also struggles and stumbles because she's is so entrenched in her bad coping mechanisms until others are there to pull her out of them. I love how Chris is angry. Like actually angry and has to make legitimately difficult choices that she questions after the fact but still opens up and accepts that people want to help her.
I love how the show doesn't shy away from consequences. The narrative progresses because of the events of prior seasons, and stuff isn't just forgotten and forgiven. Ok, some stuff is forgiven in the eyes of the law, but only because Maria makes a plea deal to protect the others. I love how even though society may say she's forgiven she struggles to forgive herself.
I love that there's two pairs of lesbians.
I love how Chris gets embraced that both couples are being overly affectionate with each other in public.
I love how there's just a song about beef strogenoff that is just wrong and that has a payoff a season later.
I love how the series has inspiration from Madoka without turning into "another madoka" or being obsessed with just being dark.
I love how despite the darkness in the world and the points where stuff gets legitimately very dark, there is more than enough levity and light to show that this is a world worth fighting for and the characters are not wrong to fight for it.
I love how Hibiki learned to fight by watching action films and imitating them and everyone treats it as normal.
I love how unafraid the show is of it's own concept. It knows it's silly, but characters never stop taking it very seriously.
I love how one of the power ups is explicitly very evil and is not only a metaphor for the dangers of falling to that power, but how that danger exists the moment you take hold of it.
I love how one of the side characters is just a ninja in a suit and also an idol manager.
I love how the core cast can only fight because the suits are powered by altruism and sometimes an ancient relic that kills the user the more they use it.
I love how rule of cool and passion so often overrules rules as written because being emotional and passionate is a good thing actually.
I love how silly the weapons get. Chris just has unlimitted Rockets. Kirika and Shirabe have a scythe and sawblades that are twintails that combine into a lot of things but my favorite has to be the murder bingo ball cage. I love Tsubasa's silly leg blades. I love how Hibiki just has her fists so she can hold people's hands because she wants to reach out to them. Also so she can hug her girlfriend which is a very important plot point.
I love how a lot of characters have backstories you can empathize with and want to see them redeemed. You want to see them be better and not fight with the heroines. I also love how there are villains who you can't wait to see them get what's coming to them.
I love how characters try and patch messy relationships up, but seasons later we see that it's only going alright. I love how characters are messy and fail but never stop trying to do better.
I love the music and how characters sing their songs in battle while still being effected by the battle.
I love how its ok to be in love with a show that isn't perfect, and that sometimes you just need to give something a chance.
Watch Symphogear.

Arthur Morgan is the best character in fiction. Whilst in-game he's already amazing, his detailed and complex thoughs in his brilliant journal are a reminder to his brilliance. I'll update this list as I continue through my second playthrough.
"I love Dutch like a father, but in many ways, I love Hosea even more. He's kind and fair and like a human being. Dutch is something else."
"This FEUD, it's bled out from Dutch and Colm's mutual hatred into a loathing that permeates all of us and all of them."
"This work mostly revolts me and shames me. Somehow, robbing people honestly with a gun and fists is less repellant than robbing them full in accordance with the law. A usurer's life may be a comfortable one, but it is foul work."
"Saw Mary again. I feel like the luckiest man alive and I feel like a fool. That woman confuses me and plays me for a fiddle like no one else alive."
"I wonder if he (Jack) will find what we seek - peace and truth away from all this nonsense and lies. If that is what we still seek? Not that that's a new development. Not sure I know myself anymore. Sometimes I'm not sure Dutch knows."
"He begged and coughed and spluttered and I beat him half to death. Such is life. Such is the world. His boy looked at me like I was the devil, and perhaps for him, I was. The whole thing confused me. Maybe that's wrong. The whole thing revolted me/my part. These sad, desperate bastards, their silly expectations of life and their tawdry reality. The unkindness of existence - I can handle that just fine. But I do not love it, nor those who try to make things otherwise, I guess."
"He's (Charles) a better man than me. He does not need to think to be good. It comes naturally to him, like right is deep within as opposed to this conflict between GOOD / EVIL that rages within me. If only we had fled west out of Blackwater, we could be free now, out where we belong beyond civilisation with the savages and the animals. Here, we won't ever be at home."
"Finally, we have achieved a state of true insanity. For the first time in my life, I'm a deputized lawman."

I've been coming across some posts on and off these past few months about people complaining of fandom behaviour, particularly what is right or wrong to write about a character or a story. And I want to clarify that this me giving an opinion, and I'm no one, I'm just expressing myself, but I kind of feel like I need to say this before it gets me mad enough to snap someday.
I'll start with saying that, to me, "fandom" is just a place for you to be yourself. You saw a piece of media that became your comfort place, and fandom is that place where you are allowed to experiment, bend, deconstruct, rebuild or tear apart that, because you are, ultimately, experimenting with your own feelings. This means that nobody in fandom writes to meet another people's expectations, but themselves'! There is no use other in pointing out "but that's not canon!" that making that person who just poured a bit of themselves into something they made feeling bad and ashamed, even for a second. Of course it's not canon. That's the point.
It is okay to take a canonically good, pure, heart of gold kind of guy and write him being a serial killer. It is okay to take a villain and turn him into the hero. It is okay to take a side character and make it all around them. It is okay. Seriously, what good can it make to say "he would not do that", "but that character is evil, that would not happen", "but the story is not about them, tho"?
Who cares about canon anyway? It is a good starting point but once you don't treat that piece of media as something meant to entertain you for the two hours that the movie's running, and start thinking about it, and analyzing it, and creating aus, and thinking about characters' motivations, you're making that story yours. And we do collectively join here, in fandom, to share. I find it so petty and mean just to point out, to even suggest to a certain someone without mentioning them that they're wrong when they defend their personal headcanon about something. It is so silly and funny to me, like, can you imagine taking a literature exam in college and they ask you to write about Jane Eyre's red room meaning and some ballsy student just writes down "well, the room was decorated mainly red and she hated it because it was a punishment place. If there is any religious meaning behind, it is not canon because Brontë didn't write about that specifically."
Let people analyze and make out what they need out of a character or a piece of media. Let them draw their own conclussions. What's it to you? Who are any of us to say that a certain depiction is wrong because it's not canon? What do you know about those people motivations anyway to write about a character that way?
Fandom is not government, it's a community. There are no rules, no laws. No headcanon is above another headcanon. No canon is above a headcanon!
So please, stop weaponizing canon and fanon. Either case, it's just people creating, saying what they need to say, one way or another. Just let them do their thing without making them feel bad for doing differently from you.
That's all I have to say, really.

What do you think about Law x Luffy.
this one's going to be so much fun... i apologize if this ends up being long. i'm kind of a menace to society when it comes to writing.
okay so- i know how popular this ship is so don't come at me with axes and swords trying to murder me because i swear to god i like the ship.
i just don't like it in a requited way...
the thing is i knew about this ship way before meeting law because it's like what?? the second most popular thing on ao3 after zosan (if somebody asks me my opinion on zosan i'd be very happy bc i have unpopular things to say and i love being chaotic on the internet *evil laugh*). and, you know, i was excited as hell to see what the fuck these two had going on. because if people like it so damn much it must be because it's the most homosexual thing in the world. my fiancé LOVES them, too. i was so excited watching punk hazard with the hope of shipping them at some point.
but, you know, that point never really came.
i love their dynamic. they're so, so important to me. law is such a complex character he makes me want to dig a hole in the ground and just die there already, i literally can't handle his whole story. and luffy is just... so good to him. for him. i love how law starts his relationship with him only for professional reasons but slowly gets used to his shenanigans and by the end of dressrosa trusts him with his whole heart for him to end doffy (shout out to my husband he did nothing wrong besides being the hottest piece of shit in this show). i love the whole sun/moon dynamic they have going on. law, who's being haunted by his past and will not hesitate to die to fulfill cora's mission. and luffy, who will not let him die because they're friends and will help him no matter what. and for law, such a kind gesture is literally his whole world. they're so beautiful and dear to me... all of their scenes are so so cute and i want to put them in a blender and drink them they're so silly and angsty and cute and-
well! the thing is, referring to the ship: i ship it in an unrequited way. i do enjoy all the ship art and fics (i literally have and will keep reposting lawlu stuff bc their content is amazing and i do enjoy it a lot) but my views on it are a bit different.
i see law being completely head over heels for luffy (yay! welcome to the 'we are in love with luffy but he will never know' club. there are a lot of people here, bestie). i love seeing law as this quiet, reserved, edgy-wannabe guy who falls for a dude who's literally a sunflower and doesn't know how to deal with those emotions. because it's just too much. luffy is too much. and it's so beautiful... so intimate and personal.
and i just fucking love pain, so making it unrequited is just wayyyy better.
i just personally don't see luffy being in love with law. i think he loves him, like, as a friend and would do anything for him but in a, you know, very platonic way? and i'm not even fond of unrequited ships, but there's just something about unrequited lawlu that makes me go insane.
that being said, i LOVE their dynamic. and i LOVE the content. let's just say i like the ship a lot and the content but my personal views on it are a bit different ??
TL;TR: i love seeing law suffering bc i love him a lot. i swear it makes sense.

Thoughts on the new Who episodes
The Good
Ncuti. So charismatic and watchable, captures that zany Doctor energy. His episodes so far have been very light-hearted but in the moments where it's been required so far it seems he can do serious and lonely well too. I love how the character seems to be trying to be upbeat but when he goes quiet and serious you get a glimpse of the burdens he is carrying inside. Amazing
Millie. Ruby's character is very likeable and her dynamic with the doctor is a joy to watch.
The mystery!!! Ruby, the Toymaker family, Susan Twist... I love theorising and speculating and am excited to see how the puzzle fits together.
Jinkx Monsoon. Was initially afraid she was going to be annoying (the Toymaker started to grate on my nerves a bit) but i soon found myself loving her deliciously over the top evil. And she actually felt scary, unlike most of the classic who overacting villains.
The Bad
Plot? What plot? These episodes just sadly felt like a lot of whiz-bang spectacle plus exposition supported by just enough story bones to keep then standing. I am here for the interesting stories. Thankfully the next episode looks like it has a bit more room for a story.
No meaningful side characters. I liked Nan-E so much because much of the joy of Doctor Who is him interacting with side characters. We meet this week's relevant people, get to know their motivations and see them decide whether to trust the doctor. These people are flawed and self-interested but the doctor has to win them over and make them do the right thing. Unfortunately these stories have so far been Doctor- and Ruby-centred. It feels like the settings they travel to are just backdrops for their shenanigans because they don't interact with the setting's characters in a meaningful way. They don't encounter any difficulty in blending in to the new environments they enter. The conflict between the Doctor's interests and the problems posed by the physical or social environment of the time/place they are in is what makes the setting relevant and interesting. The Devil's Chord could just as easily been set in the present day without much change.
Changing rules. I know Doctor Who is hardly hard sci-fi, but now we're bringing gods and laws beyond the universe into it, it feels like it changes the way we see the threats. If suddenly we rely too much on solutions like 'the power of song' or fairytale logic to defeat our big bads, the villain actually seems less scary because we have no rules within which to quantify the threat posed. If a big space monster is coming to eat your ship, you know exactly what is required to defeat it: enough fuel, piloting tactics etc. And thus by making those things fail, the writers can effectively give a sense of the desperation of the situation. With the kind of threats presented in these new episodes, however, the key to defeating them is just working out the narrative meaning of the threats. The doctor has to work out what the point of the story he is in actually is. (Children need stories? The love of sharing music is the greatest power?) And because the viewer is aware that this is a story, having the resolution of the conflict hinge on the fact that stories have a point and an ending makes the defeat of the big bad feel like an inevitability. It makes it hard for us to have the same suspension of disbelief that we entertain when the resolution of conflict is rooted firmly within the reality of that episode's setting.
That dance number. Ohhh no. I can appreciate goofiness in my silly show, as long as the writers at least give some kind of in-universe explanation for why loads of randos suddenly joined in for an impromptu Strictly session. I need at least some sense of logic to the show's universe. My only explanation is that this season is so deliberately meta and 4th-wall-trampling because the fabric of the show's universe is being torn apart by the Toymaker's lot? I just want some recognition by the characters that this is all a bit weird, to confirm that this is a choice rather than a very unfortunate new direction for the show. If you make your characters somewhat self-aware you have to acknowledge that this will affect the way they act. I want the Doctor to notice and be worried by these developments.
I love that RTD is trying to explore social issues like abortion and the refugee crisis, I think sci-fi is perfect for that kind of thing, but it feels like he is slipping them in haphazardly without really making a point. "People still care more about the idea of life than the people born" "people don't care about refugees until they're their problem" we know these things are bad! But why not be brave enough to have a story that more directly deals with people's reasons for acting this way, that shows the trauma this treatment can cause, that shows what leads people to treat others this way. This is all still possible to do delicately and kid-appropriately. Sci-fi doesn't need to be intelligent all the time but it shouldn't pretend to be just because a character says 'abandoning babies bad'.

S1E20: “Happily Ever Aftermath”—A/B+ (Watched 7/10/24)
This is a very solid episode of Grimm, in terms of meeting my admittedly subjective wants for the show: It’s dark, but not excessively so; it makes good use of the adaptational premise to twist a recognizable fairytale story in a solid-enough way that balances genuine creativity with a bit of goofiness or campiness or cringe; while it doesn’t outright avoid the serialized narrative (focusing on the thread of Nick’s parents’ deaths again), it feels like those elements exist more in the background/vaguely “in between” the other stuff, making the priority the Cinderella adaptation. Assuming true “monster of the week” episodes are not an option, this might be the best alternative. The ongoing story advances marginally, taking up comparatively little of the runtime.
Speaking very (very) generally, the initial premise of this adaptation isn’t exactly novel—We’re seeing what comes after the “happily ever after,” which is probably the most obvious starting point for a subversive take on one of these stories. The particulars are a bit more interesting, though, like how we open with a “Bernard Aidikoff” being outed as a Bernie Madoff-style crook. I had a note questioning if this depiction was in bad taste given the recency (at the time of airing) of the real-world scandal, but it’s not a thread I’m too interested in since this is just Grimm doing what comic books and other series like Law and Order have done plenty of times before: giving a real person a close-enough fake name in a way that’s kind of cute, as they try to “rip” material from “the headlines.”
The Aidikoff/Madoff thing more or less sets the tone for the handling of the Cinderella material as well—Arthur (our prince character, who lost a disastrous amount of money through Aidikoff) says at one point, “I can’t go to [my wife’s] stepmother.” It’s such a perfect line and reading of that line, because of the obviousness. It’s very awkward, but so is the way that his wife is named Lu-cinda or how she has a god-father. Seeing the pieces fall into place this way is a lot of fun. Later in the episode, when Arthur, Lucinda, and the godfather, Spencer, are being interrogated by Nick and Hank about their possible involvement in the stepmother’s murder, Arthur also delivers a succinct summary of the adapted version of the Cinderella ball and choosing her (equivalent) over the stepsisters. It’s very cute, and while Hank asking Arthur if he had any kind of sexual relationship with the stepsisters dirties it up, that’s just another kind of adorable. It’s Grimm doing its Thing. It walks a thin line between being unwatchably silly and just clever enough, and that’s probably a harder tone to write for than it might seem.
How the show’s Wesen focus fits into the original fairytale is both a strength and a notable weakness: Spencer, Lucinda, and (presumably) Lucinda’s late father and mother are all Wesen; however, the stepmother and sisters are not. This particular Wesen is another of the evil-coded ones as well, and it turns out that Lucinda is actually a proper spoiled monster with “no conscience,” to quote Spencer, while he’s always watched over her to keep her from acting on her worst impulses. We find out relatively early that Spencer is a Wesen, but the show waits to reveal Lucinda is one as well, building tension and uncertainty about exactly how the story is going to go. Even then, it’s still uncertain for a time precisely how the blame falls—which one murdered the stepmother and how in cahoots they might or might not be.
(Side note: I usually find Grimm’s horror elements pretty fleeting and weak, but the scene in the stepmother’s bedroom where she hears something and then looks under the bed and gets jump-scared by a bat creature did startle me. Something about the lighting actually felt a bit oppressive this time. Similarly, much later, the reveal of Lucinda already inside her remaining stepsister’s house similarly Got me. This might just be luck, in part, but my sense of the first of these two instances was still that it felt a bit more deliberately scary in a way that the show usually isn’t.)
In terms of the twist’s weakness, I think part of that feeling comes from the fact that “just” flipping the script (to say that, “Actually, Cinderella was the mean one”) doesn’t feel wildly original—more like the obvious route for subversion. I thought the idea of Spencer alone being a Wesen and choosing to attach himself to a human girl as a magical protector, while closer to just the “original” story, could have been an interesting angle for Grimm specifically to explore in its world. His friendship with Lucinda’s father is the reason given in the episode, though the fact that they were both Wesen makes it less interesting and less “unnatural.” Similarly, I think the idea of a mixed Wesen-human household is also very intriguing and might have been explored more. We get some vague allusions to how Lucinda tormented her stepsisters, but the concept is one that could have been further plumbed. Like, what was it like for the sisters to grow up in the same house with an evil Wesen? We can fill in the gaps, but it feels like there’s pathos being left on the table.
With Spencer and Lucinda, the show is once again poking at the question of what is and isn’t immutable about Wesen breeding, even if it isn’t acknowledged like it was in “Leave it to Beavers.” Lucinda seems to be more or less exactly what you’d expect from a Murciélago, while Spencer clearly isn’t. Him dying along with Lucinda is very convenient since it means that the show doesn’t have to reckon with how he revealed his true nature, verbally, to Hank and then used his supernatural screeching to shatter the window of his interrogation room and escape the station to go after Lucinda. I did absolutely love how his confession to the murder of the stepmother and one stepsister just casually reveals to Hank things that Nick has been keeping from him all season. This ends up being a ploy to get Hank out of the room, but when Spencer launched into it, to Nick’s obvious discomfort, I had to smile.
I found a similar joy in the Grimm tool Nick uses in this episode—a goofy little crank-powered sound gun with a stand. It’s nice to have a more obviously fantastical prop like this, and it ends up being very useful for maintaining secrecy in the end as well since Nick gives it up to the cops as (supposedly) the weapon used to achieve the otherwise unexplainable murders. Yes, the story technically, truly ends with the new dangling thread of another man involved in the killing of the elder Burkhardts, but there’s still a pleasant overall sense of tidiness.

For the character headcanon ask game!!!! Firstly, the Tenth doctor as I like that guy and secondly,,,, Klavier or Kristoph Gavin or both because they are just so epic to me,,,,,
under the cut because I talked a Lot
ten
sexuality + gender: canonically genderfluid yippee!! as for sexuality idk. rose tyler.
fav ship: tenrose u will always be famous. tensimm you will be famous too I guess because what the fuck was. Everything. in the end of time. not my fav incarnation of thoschei but I do enjoy it . "you could be beautiful" doctor do you have something to share with the class.. OH. TENJACK ALSO. I am perpetually haunted by the scene in utopia wjat the hell is this
fav platonic relationship: doctordonna is LEGENDARY. they're so good they're sooooooo good. entirety of S4 is banger after banger after banger I'm excited to watch the 60th specials and see donna and dt again but im still dragging myself through chibnall era. It's bad.
general opinion: I used to like ten more than I do now not that I dislike him but watching twelve set a gold standard for doctors and I think none of the others quite reach it. am I biased because I'm obsessed with peter capaldi? No comment. anyway. ten is really good and has a lot of strong episodes particularly with donna ofc. I like his relationship with martha in theory I just wish the show didn't hate her guts . Midnight is one of theeee best episodes on television and ten is so good in it he's also particularly good in waters of mars tho I do wish the time lord victorious was dragged out a bit longer like for another episode or so before that finale. His regeneration never fails to make me tear up especially the part with rose... she WILL have a good year. sobs. Finally obligatory mention that fear her is a GOOD EPISODE IM SICK OF THE HATE.
klavier
sexuality + gender: bi + genderfluid she/her pronouns would solve all her problems
fav ship: klapollo I love u... t4t
fav platonic relationship: his relationship with trucy they're sooooo silly look at this art . also obsessed with what we see of his relationship with kristoph I'm thinking about them always and I wish we saw more
Tumblr media
general opinion: she's my fav from aa4... No one is surprised. cute + silly + has problems + sees the protagonist and is like omg hi. did you know I'm bisexual. did you know im really into you . just saying. 0.5 seconds after meeting. I would like it if the game went more into his feelings on losing kristoph and then daryan and then kristoph again all back to back but I guess that's what fanfiction is for. guilty love is such a good theme I don't normally listen to just instrumental songs but.... She's beautiful. the concept of the gavinners is fucking stupid so I'm living in my dream world where they're a normal band not a weird law cop themed one.
kristoph
sexuality + gender: idk nothing in particular .
fav ship: he and phoenix definitely fucked at some point
fav platonic relationship: once again gavin siblings. I wish the game also went more into how his relationship with apollo is like I assume they were working together for a while pre 4-1 .. it's interesting to think about but there's not much to go off
general opinion: beautiful evil man. I love him and it really surprised me how many people hate him??? the godawful mischaracterisation I've seen on ao3 haunts me like yes he's a cunt but he wouldn't fucking do THAT. he's a cunt in a different way. please hate him correctly at the very least. I want to know what goes on inside his head. he was definitely lying about why he killed zak there was more to it than just being a petty bitch like the black psyche locks and everything... I don't think he's the sort of person who'd resort to serial murder over just not being chosen as lawyer there's definitely things he didn't tell us. I like him. he's also kind of stupid like if he just hadn't tried to be all poetic describing the cards in the first trial he never would've been caught??? and come on now why is he using the same fancy rare nail polish that he poisoned as a gift. If he hadn't used it they couldn't have proved he gave it to vera. I could not fix him but I could fuck him.

16 (especially the last parts), 24, 29, and 41 for Jaz and Alkimos!
16. What does your character do for a living? How do they see their profession? What do they like about it? Dislike?
Jaz is the owner and head enchanter of The Spell Counter, a major magical supply store that sells a variety of items such as enchanted tools, magical accessories and clothes, potions and charms, and ingredients for at-home witchery. He loves doing this, to be honest. Enchanting and doing so creatively is Enrichment to him. It gives him puzzles to pick at and problems to solve. He just hates that there are so many rules and laws to creating enchantments (though he understands why some exist). Jaz is also the head of the largest illegal enchantments and potions supply ring in Gallecross, the Hellebore Council. He sees it as a necessary evil but also takes a good deal of pleasure in working from the shadows like this and the power and influence it affords him. Alkimos is Jaz's second-in-command and bodyguard in their work running the Hellebore Council, and he is also the co-owner and head alchemist at The Spell Counter. He views potion-brewing similarly to the way Jaz views enchanting: puzzles and problems to work at and solve that keep his mind and hands busy in a productive and pleasant manner. He also, like Jaz, takes some pleasure in working on the Hellebore Council; it feels like a place he fits in more than general society does. He can be himself and he doesn't have to abide by rules he finds pointless.
24. What social groups and activities does your character attend? What role do they like to play? What role do they actually play, usually?
Jaz likes to attend higher-class parties and Alkimos, as Jaz's bodyguard, usually attends as well. Jaz likes to socialize and enjoys networking at such things, as well as gossiping. Alkimos like to eat funny little snacks and have the occasional wine or champagne while making sure nobody tries to kill Jaz and that Jaz doesn't get too drunk and makes it home okay. Jaz belongs essentially to at least one country club as well (again, he mostly uses it as networking with Gullible Rich People or Politicians He Can Blackmail) where he plays the semi-truthful role of a self-made rich 'playboy' with a philanthropic streak. He plays the law-abiding and good-hearted merchant prince, a shining beacon for his kind. All the roles that he and Alkimos play to survive in Gallecross are at least partially based in truth. They are self-made business-folk. They do have philanthropic goals and initiatives in progress to pursue them. Jaz fucking loves gossip. Alkimos enjoys eating all of the snooty rich people's silly but tasty little snacks.
29. What is your character’s weaknesses? Hubris? Pride? Controlling?
Jaz's weaknesses are: - his temper - his pride/hubris - his ego/vanity - his attachment to Alkimos - his desire for vengeance Alkimos' weaknesses are: - his pessimism/cynical nature - his stubbornness - his attachment to Jaz - his bluntness - his hubris (about different things than Jaz)
41. Is your character aware of who they are? Strengths? Weaknesses? Idiosyncrasies? Capable of self-irony?
They both have at least some self-awareness and use it, at times, to be self-deprecating to each other when they feel bad or when things go wrong. It's like that case where you know your flaws but cannot fix them alone so whenever they cause a problem you go quietly to your friends and go "hey hi i'm the worst" and they go "yeah that wasn't the best idea but you aren't the worst you're just a dumbass who we love". Jaz takes himself less seriously than Alkimos takes himself because he secretly feels like everything about him is fake (which is why he reacts so negatively to being told he's fake like to his face) and it gives him a certain ironic detachment sometimes.

Who should be the main villain of Superman: Legacy?
Tumblr media
The Man of Steel has faced countless enemies since his earliest appearance in the late 1930s. However, in live action he tends to face only a handful of his enemies, usually being Lex Luthor or General Zod.
With James Gunn's new DCU comes a new Superman in David Corenswet, and an opportunity to see Superman face one of the more unique enemies he possesses. I'd like to pitch a couple of ideas for enemies we can see him face in his newest film.
I will be pitching 5 villains I can potentially see as the main antagonist for this movie. I will only be pitching villains we have yet to see in live action film, so no Zod, Doomsday, or Luthor.
Tumblr media
I also want to build on the fact that he is a younger hero. This should not be a gigantic threat like Darkseid, he's just starting out, so he needs someone who is a challenge for him to start but isn't overly powerful.
There are also other heroes in this movie, namely Green Lantern, Metamorpho, Hawkgirl, and Mister Terrific, all heavy hitters. So our villain needs to be the right level of formidable to other heroes, a challenge for a young Superman, but ultimately a win for Clark.
5. The Toyman
Tumblr media
Winslow Schott is an inventor and toymaker who uses his inventions to commit crimes and often tangle with the Man of Steel. His inventions always lean on the silly side, robot teddy bears, giant robot Nutcrackers, you get the gist.
While he is often a nuisance and less of a threat in the comics, I think done right he can be a very creepy villain.
Tumblr media
I can see him as a disgruntled LexCorp employee whose designs are being stolen, or perhaps a crazed hero fan who is mad he was not asked to be on the prototype Guy Gardner led by the Justice League.
If we wanted to go older and sillier, I can see a comedian like Jack Black having a lot of fun with a role like this.
Tumblr media
While the character is fun, he may be too much of a layup for the Man of Steel. Perhaps as intro to the movie, we can see Superman taking him on, but not as the main villain of the movie.
4. Lobo
Tumblr media
The main man himself is due for his time in the spotlight.
Lobo is an intergalactic bounty hunter who is often butting heads with the Man of Steel. Lobo is an arrogant, intense, and powerful warrior whose only law is the agreement he made for his bounty.
Originally meant to be a parody of grim and gritty superhero stories in the 90s, the character was enthusiastically loved by fans, and has been a big DC character ever since.
Having Lobo be this force that comes to Earth to kill the final Kryptonian from an unknown greater evil could make for an interesting movie. He is a villain who could put up a good fight against our Justice League, and give Superman a run for his money.
Because he is a bounty hunter, he is not necessarily evil, and if he can be reasoned with, we could see him back in future movies, maybe even as an uneasy ally to Superman.
Most people want Mamoa, and I understand why, but I think this would be a fun place to put an actor like Rob McElhenney. Have him play a dirtbag badass from across the galaxy can be fun.
Tumblr media
While I like this story, I think we can save Lobo for a better place than an origin movie.
3. Metallo
Tumblr media
Metallo is a Kryptonite powered cyborg named John Corben, who was experimented on by Professor Vale to become a weapon against what he believes to be an oncoming Alien Invasion in Superman.
Metallo is strong, tragic, and powered by Supermans greatest weakness. He is not only a match for our Justice League, but fatal to Superman.
I can see a version where Lex Luthor "saves" this John from a near fatal accident and turns him into Metallo to test and hopefully kill Superman. (My Luthor is Sterling K Brown by the way).
Tumblr media
While Luthor would be the main villain in the shadows, Metallo would be the main threat of the movie.
This puts Superman directly in the path of someone he can't fight or save with his powers. He'll have to stop him with his heart and kindness. I like that idea.
I'd like a younger actor who can be menacing but can display great pain. A Dacre Montgomery type would be ideal for me.
Tumblr media
I think Metallo is an excellent starter villain that can determine what kind of hero Clark is going to be.
2. Parasite
Tumblr media
Rudy Jones was a janitor at STAR Labs. After being exposed to a waste container, Jones was granted the ability to steal energy from people, leaving them dead or ill. From super powered individuals however, Parasite can absorb and all abilities, leaving heroes incapacitated.
The idea of a meta who can steal abilities away from a team like the Justice League would make for an excellent challenge for Superman. While I don't love his origin, I think you can fix that by making him a test subject at STAR Labs or a metahuman who has to take his entire life to survive. Someone Superman would have to talk to to me seems like a good end to the movie.
I kind of want angry troubled energy, so I'm imagining Aaron Paul here. I could see him crying talking to Superman at the end of the movie, hurt.
Tumblr media
1. Bizzaro
Tumblr media
Bizzaro is sometimes a duplication of the Man of Steel, often created by Lex Luthor, who is sometimes a villain, sometimes an antihero. While he is a physical match for Superman, he isn't exactly his cerebral match. Often times he is similar to a child, with the opposite abilities of Superman. (Fire breath, and Ice Vision)
What is fun about Bizzaro is he often tries to emulate Superman instead of destroy him, causing more trouble trying to be good then evil. The first bit of the movie Clark can fight him, try to turn him good, fail, and have to try a new method.
I am a fan of villains who are troubled or are trying to do good but can't seem to get it right due to pain or trauma. With a character like Bizzaro, we can have someone who is a match to Clark, but isn't trying to hurt anyone. Just trying to exist, and he needs guidance.
Bizzaro can than be a fun side character for Superman to bounce off. A weird cousin who shows up from time to time to help Clark in big fights, maybe even die at the hands of one his major enemies like Zod, Darkseid or Luthor. There are a lot of fun avenues to take Bizzaro than just meathead villain.
I also don't want Corenswet to play Bizzaro. What's fun about him is he isn't exactly Superman, he's off. We can have an actor who looks similar to a Superman type, like Reid Scott.
Tumblr media
If you really wanna have some fun. Give it Cavill or Routh. Give them a chance to dawn the tights in a different way.
I hope they do Metallo, Parasite or Bizzaro, and have Clark have to level with them at a human level. That is the most Superman thing to me, and would be an excellent start to Superman's story.

this post will contain mentions of grooming, child porn and other pedophile related topics in relation to tox / officiallytox / the-raichu-archives
tox is a groomer and a pedophile, due to past actions, and if you believe pedophiles can grow in 3 years that's fine (we don’t personally because sex offenders register for life btw) but this pedophile has not grown at all, proven by this conversation that literally happened in november of 2021. not even 3 full months ago.
Tumblr media
[ img id: the-raichu-burlesque (tox’s nsfw sideblog for nsfw rp) stating “i stand by that cp [child pornography] needs to involve an actual child and therefore a drawing of fictional characters can never be cp, but if the drawing is of a real child then i have no doubt that there’s something bad going on that needs legal investigation” end id. ]
the belief that fake children being drawn sexually or fake child porn is fine and normal is like, driving us out of our minds. never mind the "BUT real children being depicted in cp is bad and needs legal action". what’s the difference? to any pedophile this is still a child in their imagination to be preyed upon.
Tumblr media
[ img id: the-raichu-burlesque stating “i’m the kind that makes sense, i think? things like in fiction i would never condone in real life, and i know the difference if someone’s into something that squicks me out, i block and move on i dont think drawings are a crime my problem comes when it’s real people tho i can’t stand real person fiction or drawings of real people” end id. ]
to provide context without naming the person theyre talking to, the question was "what kind of proship are you". they don't like the depiction of real people in art but will say that fake children in porn is okay. twisted thinking but okay freak.
Tumblr media
[ img id: a timestamp of November 22, 2021, 2:46 AM, the-raichu-burlesque stating “i personally think it’s silly to apply an ‘illegal’ label to content that features purely fictional character, but it’s certainly fine to be completely grossed out by that sort of content” end id. ]
keep in mind they’re still talking about CHILD PORN, and later refers to CHILD PORN as a “squick” like it’s mildly uncomfortable to see and not something that is traumatic, illegal, or downright evil in real or fictional context. conflating what's legal and what's morally right is a form of child grooming. this is a known tactic used to break down natural/societal boundaries before sexual abuse of a minor person can occur.
we’re noting tox's preoccupation with what  "isn't a crime" or dictating where the "illegal" label can or should be applied and it's quite literally a dangerous slope. that is the same sort of tactic people use to question the validity of age of consent laws. whether cp is of a fictional child or not, regular exposure to drawn cp literally serves to desensitize actual minors to what is and isn't a normal relationship with an adult individual. proshippers want cp to be more mainstream and accepted. it's literally the point of being a groomer.
Tumblr media
[ img id: the-raichu-burlesque stating that “i’ve never met an anti that wasnt violent, tbh” end id. ]
this is just a bonus to how they think people who don’t like proship content (at the very LEAST, incest and at the WORST pedophilia) are just violent and angry and out to get them. wonder why they act that way.

(beware, beware, spoilers are here, you will find out one day, the legend of ruby sunday)
Alright I've edited my opinion because I think I overexaggerated a teensy weensy bit (TL:DR I found Sutekh confusing)
I understand now why Sutekh was introduced, I firstly found his appearance just a bit disorienting when the episode was leading up to something completely different. I think my opinion was formed on the lack of Egyptian-like clues to warn of his coming, other than that one time he was mentioned as 'the one who waits'. Sutekh just seems so out of place with the context and build-up to the ending, at least to me.
But to be fair RTD was a bit iconic by leading everybody on (except a few avid theorists who actually ended up being right)
I am a bit salty that they spent the ENTIRE episode on Ruby's mother and Susan and it was all just a TRAP? Additionally, when Death as a character is introduced into a media, I usually prefer him being someone who understands the laws of life and following his purpose to close up the universe behind him when it's TIME, but it's not time yet, it's very clear that it isn't. But that's just my personal preference.
I had to remember that this is a two-parter with a very evil cliffhanger and that in the next episode Russel T Davies better tie up all the loose ends because or else I'm drastically changing my opinion again.
Some of my silly commentary once again:
I'm Harriet (Insue Harriet Jones flashbacks)
SUSAN TWIST RECOGNITION YES…
I'm too stunned to comment on the S Triad Technology—I'm genuinely befuddled and blind I don't know what's going to happen.
"Except the obvious." "Eh, we'll get him." Are they talking about the Doctor or something else we don't know?
Susan T. reminds me of Harold Saxon not gonna lie
HE WHO WAITS. PANTHEON DADDY
"Do you have a Time Window?" "Ten floors down." I love Kate
WHAT JUST HAPPENED I HAVE NO WORDS AT ALL.
The TARDIS groaning is absolutely ball-shitting levels of terrifying
"THE GODS BRING HARBINGERS TO WARN US OF THEIR COMING"
Excuse me what.
Thanks for everyone who gave me some extra information on Sutekh!

Friends, my darlings, my fellow critters, my obviously-only-25-and-under baby fans, the Critical Role content policy is only going to ruin your life if you were silly enough to believe basing your entire business on someones else’s IP was viable or legal. It was never legal. They just looked the other way. They will probably continue to look the other way on your small etsy stall!
The fact they let people profit from their stuff for so long is a testament to how chill and progressive they are when it comes to copyright law.
They have a global audience, remember? Multiple lines of products that are known by millions in multiple countries. A very popular story telling platform and brilliantly distinctive characters.
They live, here, in the real world, with you and me everyone we know.
WHERE COPYRIGHT THEFT BY LARGER PREDATORY CORPORATIONS IS ENDEMIC.
Which most of you acting like this is an act of betrayal well know.
You want disney, and ali express and forever 21 and fucking walmart? Fucking billionaire-family worker-abusing exploiters extraordinaire to rip up and rip off and shit all over this nice thing you like making fanart about?
No? Good.
Stop fucking bitching then.
They’re protecting their copyright from other companies who are larger and meaner than them from fucking them over.
As well they should.
They’re not stealing your “rights” because you, A FAN OF A WORK, don’t have any.
YOU NEVER HAD ANY RIGHTS TO THE WORK KIDS, THEY JUST LET YOU PLAY IN THE SANDBOX!
Also, don’t @ me with that entitlement complex over your publicly posted fanworks being potentially, not necessarily, but maybe shared by the people who own the IP you are using.
I’m fairly certain CR has better things to do than rip off and remix your shipping art, kids.
THEY HAVE LIKE ACTUAL ARTISTS THEY HIRE FOR THAT.
AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD ASK FIRST IF THEY WERE GONNA USE IT!!
They just have to say it all LEGAL LANGUAGE cause THAT’S HOW COPYRIGHT WORKS.
THAT’S HOW THE LAW WORKS.
And I’m going to be a super grumpy fandom old about this - cause good lord.
In my day we had legal cease and desists and that’s it! We had fans sued for writing fanfic!! People threatened by large multi-corps for hosting fanfic! People publicly humiliated on talk shows for their fan art. People FINED REAL ACTUALLY MONEY FOR POSTING FANART.
And it still happens.
So every grumpy baby having a moment about CR being too corporate can go sit down and have a goddamned nap and a little think about how the world actually works.
Or, I don’t know, maybe if you feel like this company isn’t living to your pseudo-progressive moral purity complexes - GO SUPPORT OTHER TTRPG CREATORS WITH YOUR TIME MONEY AND DOLLARS???
Literally spend any amount of time and energy supporting the diverse anti capitalist media you say you all like so much?????
Instead of being mad that a company decided to formalise a policy they’ve been using for ages.
signed,
A fan of Critical Role with actual reading comprehension who is having a very bad day.
P. S I'm not talking about the people being genuine and confused. Just the ones who somehow believe cr are evil for having a copyright policy.

Romance Manhwa/Manga Recommendations:
Historical Manhwa/Manga:
Death Is The Only Ending For The Villainess
I’ve reincarnated as the reverse harem game’s villainess, the one and only adopted daughter of the ducal Eckart family.
But the difficulty just has to be the worst!
Everything I do will only lead me to death.
I must be paired with one of the main male characters from the heroine’s harem before the ‘real daughter’ of the duke family appears!
Two older brothers who always pick a fight with me on every little thing.
The insane crown prince whose route will always lead to my death.
‘I only see the heroine and no one else’s wizard, and also her loyal slave knight, too!
‘First, let’s take some of them which I see no hope in, out of the list!’
“I didn’t know my place up until now. From now on, I’ll live as quiet as a mouse so you wouldn’t care the slightest bit!
But why do their interests in me keep on rising every time I draw the line?!
The Villainess is a Marionette
Cayena, the Imperial Princess, was known as the most beautiful woman in the Empire. She was a woman who knew nothing but evil and luxury.
However, she was destined for ruin: she would be used as a chess piece by her younger brother to secure his throne and killed by her crazy husband.
“I’ll make you the Emperor.”
“… Sister, are you referring to me?”
“In exchange, give me freedom.”
She had to change things before she became that Cayena.
The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke’S Mansion
Poisoned to death by her own betrothed?! Eunha didn’t wake up in a novel’s story just to get killed off again as an unfortunate extra! To change her story she needs a cover… 6 months pretending to be the fake fiancée of the novel’s male protagonist, Duke Noah Wynknight. But will this cold-hearted, angel-faced demon of a man really help her avoid another ill-fated ending?!
Your Throne / I Want to Be You, Just For A Day
The story follows main characters Medea Solon and Psyche Callista, who become archenemies after competing for the position of crown princess of the Vasilios Empire. On the day of the Yearly Prayer, Medea and Psyche accidentally switch bodies.
The Remarried Empress
Navier was the perfect empress, however, the Emperor wanted a wife, not a colleague. And so, the Emperor abandoned Empress Navier and placed an enslaved girl beside him. That was fine until Navier heard the Emperor promise the slave the Empress’ position. After many ups and downs, Navier decided she would accept being the Queen of the neighbouring country and remarry.
Kill The Villainess
Eris Mizerian was the villainess of a novel. The only daughter of a marquis, she got executed after scheming against the pure and lovely protagonist, Helena. My only goal, after possessing her, is simply to leave this world and go home. I am prepared to face even death, but the laws of this world keep stopping me.
A changed Eris begins to draw the attention of three men who once loathed her; the Crown Prince, the High Priest, and the Knight.
"It doesn't matter. I will never be able to love this world."
Even if the only way out is death,
even if the only way out is make a deal with a witch...
I will absolutely leave this world!
This is the story of the villainess who defies fate, Eris, and her escape from this world!
The Way To Protect The Female Lead's Older Brother
I accidentally took possession of someone in a 19+ reverse harem novel.
The problem is that I became Roxana Agriche, the older sister of the sub-villain. My damn father kidnapped the heroine’s brother. Now, is the only thing left to meet a terrible end from the vengeance of the heroine?
But what if I can avoid that horrible development?
“I’m also interested in this toy.”
“I’ll protect you until you can get out of here safely.”
The heroine’s brother, Cassis Pedalian, will definitely be able to pay me back later.
Shadow Queen
“Can you be my daughter for me?”
By his offer, Elena became Duke of Franceschi’s fake daughter.
She became the queen and gave birth to Crown Prince’s son.
Then suddenly, Princess Veronica who was assumed dead came back.
She was only just a toy.
But eventually, Elena gets her son taken and is murdered.
However, she went back to the past.
“I’ll destroy all of you.”
I’ll never live as a toy again.
Elena decides to seeks revenge.
Under the Oak Tree
The daughter of a duke, the stuttering Maximilian, married a knight of lowly status at her father’s coercion.
After their first night, her husband departed for an expedition without another word.
He comes back three years later, this time as a famous knight in the whole continent.
How would Maximilian face him on his return?
"The more I think of you, the more lonely and lonely I become. I don't know why I can't quit even though it's so painful."
I'm Stanning The Prince
Angela’s fanfic became such a sensation that it even reached the Imperial Family, leading her to get arrested on charges of treason. Nevertheless, her fanfic improved the First Prince’s image, and his sister, the Princess, decides to take political advantage of this and keep Angela by their side.
The heroine who can now fangirl to her heart’s content, and the Prince who doesn’t know how to act around her. As they bicker back and forth, they start growing closer…
Miss Not-So Sidekick
Hyejung loved to read to escape her daily stress. But that’s before she woke up inside the bizarre world of her favorite novel! Instead of the main heroine who courts three eligible men, she is now Latte Ectrie – a minor villain that everyone hates?! One way or another, it’s a chance to live out her most beloved storyline, with popcorn in hand to watch all the drama! Taking charge of the narrative takes on a whole new meaning!
Even Though I’M The Villainess, I’ll Become The Heroine!
I wasn’t able to overcome the harassment and took my life, but I was reincarnated with the perpetrator? The perpetrator is the heroine, Florre, and I am the villainess, Dahlia, who’s going to die horribly.
“They said you are a villain with neither blood nor tears, but unlike the rumors, you often shed tears.”
“Your Highness must believe all the nonsense the idiots are talking about, huh?”
Grand Duke of Cervian, the half brother of the Male lead and who will be punished for treason afterwards. He approached me. I can’t lose the man who will be my greatest ally.
“Your Highness, would you marry me?”
“Now…… what did you say?”
“And take revenge together.”
A similar situation, a fixed ending. The heroine is not the only one who knows the ending of the novel. I took a long and arduous path of revenge.
Who Made Me A Princess
The beautiful Athanasia was killed at the hands of her own biological father, Claude de Alger Obelia, the cold-blooded emperor! It’s just a silly bedtime story… until one woman wakes up to suddenly find she’s become that unfortunate princess! She needs a plan to survive her doomed fate, and time is running out. Will she go with Plan A, live as quietly as possible without being noticed by the infamous emperor? Plan B, collect enough money to escape the palace? Or will she be stuck with Plan C, sweet-talking her way into her father’s good graces?!
The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass
With the marriage of her prostitute mother to the Count, Aria’s status in society skyrocketed immediately. After leading a life of luxury, Aria unfairly meets death because of her sister Mielle’s schemes. And right before she dies, she sees an hourglass fall as if it were a fantasy. And just like that, she was miraculously brought back to the past.
“I want to become a very elegant person, just like my sister, Mielle.”
In order to face the villainess, she must become an even more wicked villainess. This was the new path Aria chose to take revenge on Mielle who murdered both her and her mother.
The Evil Lady's Hero
Junipe Magnolia, a villainess friend of the heroine in this novel called Rael Cania.
The Junipe inside the novel has always loved the male lead, Iseed. To the point where she harassed Rael out of jealousy because she's loved by Iseed.
And thus, Junipe is destinied to die in the hands of the male lead of this novel.
But one day.
"Why did I become Junipe?!"
But let's think about it, it's still one year away from the time Junipe is going to get killed by Iseed. So, I have to meet Iseed and Rael first, I'll be able to find a way out of my death if I do so.
Yeah, let's meet them first!
But, this man is just so tender-hearted and kind. Would Junipe be able to escape from this man?!
I Tamed a Tyrant and Ran Away
God gave me a chance to relive my life. Before the rebirth, I had been used for the past 400 years as the empire's sword. And so, I swore to destroy the empire. I found the young prince of the country and became his teacher. I taught him how to become a tyrant and asked for the country.
"I will do the lady's will."
He conquered the whole empire for me, and I ran away.
"I came to take you, Charlize Ronan." Dylan became a perfect tyrant and searched the entire empire for me.
"You tamed me, so why did you run away?"
Untouchable Lady
“Please, Hilise. Please die in place of Gabrielle.” My always dignified brother begged me for the first time. He wants me to die for our stepsister, whom we don't even share a drop of blood with. “For the first and last time, I ask you this.” I've always been miserable, and there is no exception this time. The seventh time that I was betrayed and killed, I was completely free of lingering feelings. “I'm glad that you're a scumbag until the end.” I won't be swayed by love anymore. It's my turn to abandon them first.
I’ll Live On As A Villainess
I reincarnated as the villainess in a book!
The one who dared to commit attempted murder on the heroine is the owner of this body?
Let's just live in a quiet place where we have fun and eat! That's what I thought for a while.
It was so, so, so cold here in the north, where I was kicked out as a punishment.
Before I froze to death, I called the Great Demon of Fire and set fire to the fireplace but...
Why isn't he going back? If you've done the job, shouldn't you go back?!
I was flustered to find out that I had signed a life contract with a demon just to start a fire but to think that I'd be responsible for relieving his desires!
The bickering romance between a big puppy demon and a small villainess lady!
It Looks Like I’Ve Fallen Into The World Of A Reverse Harem Game
When I opened my eyes, I was in a different world. I had become the game’s villainous princess who was feared by all. Not to mention… Completely naked men I didn’t even know were approaching me left and right! “Are you cold? Shall I warm you up with a hug?” “Oh? Have you not had enough yet?” Seriously, what’s up with this situation? And just how the hell am I going to get out of this freaking game?!
Father, I Don't Want to Get Married!
I’m Jubelian? The daughter of the duke and the villainess of this novel?
I managed to avoid my death with some previous knowledge about my life, as this was my second time at it. Now, I should be able to live a peaceful life!
“I’m not going to marry a man unless he has everything. I want the most wealthy, famous, and competent man there is.”
I dreamt of a glamorous life as the daughter of the duke, but my father tells me the Crown Prince who is known to be a lunatic is to be my husband! As an extraordinary measure, I couldn’t help but start a contract relationship. That is, with a handsome side character that looks better than the main one.
“Why are you trying to avoid being engaged to the prince?”
“He’s scary. I heard that he even kills his own entourage if he doesn’t like them.”
A few days later, the prince sent a terrible letter to me.
“I will not kill you.”
Oh no, did I set up another death trap for myself?
Like A Wind On A Dry Branch
"Hi, You."
Count Casarius fell victim to a plague and died suddenly, leaving behind a will stating that Rietta, his beautiful young widow of the manor, whom he tried to use as a concubine, be buried alive alongside him. Just before Rietta is buried, Archduke Axias, rumored to be a cruel tyrant, arrives at the funeral to collect the enormous debt Count Casarius still owes him.
“Everyone here seems to feel sorry for her, and I still have a debt to collect from Casarius… If I take her instead of debt, I think all of you here should be happy," he smiled.
"Hello, Temptress."
Everything was a Mistake
Roa Valrose reincarnated as villainess in the book. In order to avoid the fate of being burned at the stake, she approaches the hero, Nocton Edgar.
It hurts every time she gets closer to him. Nevertheless, for her survival, she does everything he wants her to do.
“Come again, Valrose.”
The mysterious Nocton unexpectedly sought her out every day.
Then one day, her friend for 10 years says something unknown to her.
“Actually, I have a dream. The Duke of Edgar is a terrible villain!”
He is not the hero, but the villain?
As soon as she realized that she had misinterpreted the role, she decided to get away from Nocton.
“Let’s not meet anymore.”
But the villain’s reaction was strange.
“Don’t go. You’ve always been special to me.”
She was suspicious of his sudden change of attitude.
Will she able to get rid of Nocton safely?
I Became the Tyrant's Secretary
I became the secretary of a tyrant in place of my clumsy brother to survive.
But I have so much potential for it. I’m so darn good at my job. Because I served the tyrant so well, ‘Everyone has a happy ending’.
Well then, shall I quit being a secretary and live a leisurely life now?
“Rosaline, tell me what you want.” He asked as he stepped down from his chair.
“I want to quit.”
His eyebrows twitched slightly.
“Do you want to die?”
Your highness, you never hold on to people who want to leave, so why’re you being like this to me?
Seduce the Villainess Father
After being in a bus crash, I woke up to the world of my favourite web novel.
Not only that, It was before the protagonists were born, to their parents’ world!
To stop the incoming multiple bad events.
I tried to prevent the kidnapping of the sister who is pregnant with the female lead!
But I got kidnapped instead?!

Not a question or anything, but I was on the twilight wiki and was reading up on the immortal children and there were a lot of comments talking about how evil the volturi was for destroying them, even though in the text it said they were destroyed because they couldn't control themselves or learn to, complete with book quotes on the matter. But there were still the comments saying the volturi just killed for fun and preyed on weaker vamps. Only mentioning this because it's been brought up.
Yeah, it's... it sure is a fandom.
Only, this kind of thing isn't even unique to Twilight fans.
You get an awful lot of Harry Potter fans acting condescending towards Muggles, writing fic where the cool Death Eaters kill Muggles left and right and it's so awesome. Open just about any dark!Harry fic, and odds are you'll read about Harry realize that, why yes, Muggles don't deserve rights! Or in the light side end of fics, you'll still find Muggles being the butt of Fred and George's life-threatening pranks.
It's in the way the Muggles have a silly, dehumanizing name - not "non-magical people" the way Star Wars has "non-sensitives", but "Muggles", like some kind of homogenous, quaint group, not unlike "hobbits". It's in the way there's not a single strong, positive, Muggle character throughout canon, the ones we meet are either the butt of the joke or Dursleys. The best we get is Frank Bryce (the Riddle manor groundskeeper who dies in the prologue to Goblet of Fire. He had a life of hardships, suffered because of wizards, was depicted sympathetically. He's the only Muggle I can think of who received this level of respect). It's in the way Muggles are humorously harassed by quirky wizards or funny pranksters and that's not taken seriously if the light side is doing it. They regularly sustain brain damage from obliviates (one guy in Goblet of Fire in particular comes to mind), and that makes them the butt of the joke, not, you know, victims.
Ordinary human beings such as the readers are depicted negatively, and it lets us fall into the trap of "Man, those Muggles are lame, amirite?" even though the Muggles are us.
(I realize it's very anecdotal that I speak of fans doing this and that some people may have no idea what I'm talking about, but... check out fanfiction, or Harry Potter fandom in general, and pay attention to how Muggles are treated.)
Twilight fans looking at the Volturi going around curbing the Southern Wars before they could kill turn the planet into a hell for humans, running immortal children extinct so they couldn't destroy entire villages at a time, and killing vampires who break the law (i.e. kill people), and saying "Man, I hate the stupid Volturi! Won't someone overthrow them already?" is the same thing.
The Volturi serve our interests, like Aro or not he is a necessary evil at worst, a savior to humankind at best.
However, he is depicted negatively. Bella is our narrator and she thinks he is frightening and malicious, and as a lot of people were very young when they read these books, or just don't question their narrators, they come away thinking the Volturi are a bad thing.
That, and I think a lot of it is just poor reading comprehension. (Edit to clarify: what you're describing, that people go "why wouldn't the mean Volturi let the cute immortal children destroy villages :(" Otherwise it sounds like I'm saying "people who don't agree with my reading of Twilight are clearly idiots" which is totally what I think not the case.)
