you blink at sukuna, utterly confused — first of all, you were in public, he rarely talked to you in public, second of all, a date?

“huh…?” you utter out stupidly.

“uh,” you stutter once more and you can tell his patience is wearing thin, “when?” you finally ask after a moment.

“tonight, 8 pm sharp,” he says and then his voice turns to a low murmur, “i'm taking you yo that new mall that opened.”

your eyes light up and you beam at him, “really?!” you exclaim, excited.

you've eaten his ear off for the last month or so about the new mall that had just opened, you loved malls and window shopping and having a good day out of it.

and if sukuna is taking you out on it after what had happened two days ago, that would make it your first official date with him.

“yeah,” he huffs, “just don't be late.”

“i can't believe you, honestly.” you say and he quirks an eyebrow, “what, is it that hard to believe that i'm nice sometimes?”

you grin, “keyword : sometimes.”

he rolls his eyes, “brat.”

you laugh, and you can't help but notice the lingering stares on the both of you — sure, it wasn't rare that sukuna talked to girls but it was rare for him to be talking for this long.

“i'll see you tonight.” he says, and takes a step closer, and then his hand is on your waist and his lips are on yours and you think you're dreaming.

he pecks your lips, and his touch lingers for a few moments longer before he pulls away, “don't be late.” he repeats, murmuring against your lips.

you blink and your face is warm as you nod at him — his hand leaves your waist and he turns to leave, waving goodbye at you.

holy shit, sukuna just kissed you in public.

Genuinely being a single woman in my thirties, living alone, is such a mixed blessing sometimes. I do love my house and when I'm here I literally never want to leave. But on the other hand, I do get tired of leaving to go hang out with people, even though I love seeing them. Especially because I have such a great group of friends but they live all over the place, geographically, and therefore most of them don't know each other. And I actually really love hosting? But I never have people in my house because logistically it's always more practical for me to go to them than vice versa.

But sometimes I buy new old dishes and wanna just have a little fancy wizard party, but all my guests are far away. Please may I have the teleport spell. Or a high-speed commuter rail system.

Timmy had known Peri might pursue becoming a godparent, because Peri had consulted with him about career tracks!! And like. Being the only one invited to Peri's college graduation tends to give Timmy more insight than his parents. Special older brother privileges.

As for being assigned a Godkid, Timmy sorta... Stumbled into it. He found out long before Peri was told he had been given an assignment!

yall are about to piss me off by not having any PASSING basic knowledge of the way the u.s. military manipulates its recruits into joining by typing up one of your uninformed, unresearched, unempathetic, individualistic, unbelievably annoying posts about how 100% of the people in the military ended up there because they just Love America So Damn Much! they're extremely mature and informed at time of recruitment, they can totally leave anytime they want, they totally had tons of other avenues in life they could've taken, there was no rush at all to get income as fast as possible, and everyone in the military also totally is part of the combat divisions and personally enjoys being IN the military very much, big believers of violence. everyone in the military is shooting guns all day, that's how that works. they LOVE BLOODSHED. also I love the "amewicans haha" twang to this type of shit because you're actually TOTALLY stealing our Thing, which is turning systemic issues into Individual Issues. Instead of talking about the powers that be, it's so Personal Choice up in here. It's, "well you shouldn't have done it then. I totally wouldn't because I know better." you don't wanna talk about the military industrial complex as a whole, and you don't want to talk about recruiters, you just want to pin the blame on Specific Individual People one-by-one, as if they're responsible for the system that they're being ground up in. someone was in the military? bad person, no matter what. it's easier to believe that, I guess, than to acknowledge that Normal People (with high school educations) are manipulated and incentivized into joining a system that is Bad. at like age 18. but yeah no that 18 year old should have just been smarter lol haha anyway here are some screenshots for no particular reason

side note this reply of someone going "umm just get loans and go into a high paying field it's easy XD" as a direct response to someone trying to explain how most americans joining the military are being funneled in that direction out of a need for money.

and another person who Decided that americans join the military just CLENCHING their teeth thinking of other people, and not thinking completely selfishly about their own selves and their own income/housing/healthcare.
