TOP FIVE, I CAN ACTUALLY ANSWER THIS NOW WITHOUT IT BEING JUST THE SAME ONE FIVE TIMES.
okay it says top 5 music artists, i don't know if i'm supposed to list specific musicians or if i can do whole bands.
but i'm going to do both now. you get two lists. just because when it comes to having an opportunity to talk about my favorite music, i am like a seagull that found an entire french fry on the parking lot.
they're not listed in order by what i like more because i like my favorite bands and my favorite people equally or else they wouldn't be favorites i think.
because that's how my mind works. at least right now anyway. i'll order them by what i knew first.
my favorite bands:
sweet
genesis

+ When the Sully family sought uturu in the Metkayina clan, they didn't expect to find humans there, that far out in Pandora. They especially didn't expect to find out that the Olo'eyktan is in a relationship with the woman and has adopted her child as her own. Not to mention, his children listening to her as if she was their birth mother.
"Aonung?" I called from my spot by the cook pit. He popped his head into the marui's entrance.
"Yes ma?" He asked.
"Can you grab me the leather ties? Your father accidentally put them out of my reach again." I asked, pointing to a basket on a high shelf. He nodded and walked over to the basket grabbing a few ties for me.
"Here you go, ma." He hands them to me.
"Thank you." I took them and tied up the stuffed roasting leaves. He knelt down next to me and adjusted the grate over the cook pit for me. As I was about to set the food on the fire, we heard the horns from the reef.
"What the..." Aonung muttered before sharing a confused look with me. We both got up and walked over to the entrance. We saw 5 ikrans approaching.
"Ma?" Aonung looked down at me. As the ikrans landed I saw Ronal heading that way.
"Go on. If you see Kira, send her home please."
"Yes ma." He leaned down and kissed my head before running off. I walked back in and a few minutes later my daughter Kira came running in.
"What's going on, Mom?"
"I don't know. We'll wait for Wari to come and tell us." I run my hand over her head. "It's safer for us to stay here since we don't know the Navi that have come."
"Okay." She went and sat on a mat before pulling at the top she had been working on. It wasn't long until Tsireya walked in.
"Ma? Kira?" She smiled at us.
"What darling?" I looked up at her.
"Dad wants you to come meet some people." I was surprised but nodded.
"Come on Kira." I said as I walked towards the exit. She ran over and I pulled her into my side. We followed Tsireya to see a family of six standing next to Wari. As we walked up, I saw the family look at us completely shocked.
"Daddy!" Kira ran over to Wari and hugged his leg. He chuckled before picking her up.
"Hello, my Katir (rainbow)." He greeted Kira. He held her on his side before reaching for me. "Yawne."
"Hi." I took his large hand and he brought it up to his lips.
"Um, I'm confused." I heard one of the newcomers say. I looked at them. I looked at the oldest Male and realized he looked familiar. I glanced down and saw he had 5 fingers and toes.
"Jake Sully." He met my gaze as I said his name.
"Yes. I am. How did you..." He trailed off.
"I worked at Hells gate." I said in English at first before switching back to Navi. "I was a scientist for botany. Another scientist and I were out on assignment when the battle of the Hallelujah Mountains happened. I was against the RDA's plans and tactics so I was deemed okay to stay."
"Oh. But how did you end up out here?"
"12 years ago, my companion and I were chased from our outpost lab by some viperwolves and he was killed. I made it to the coast but got washed out to sea by a severe storm. I was pregnant at the time and I was washed up here." I explained.
"How did you not get... Well, um killed?"
"We were shocked when she washed up. But when we realized she was pregnant, we couldn't hurt her. Even Ronal was hesitant. Ultimately, We realized she wasn't a threat and was allowed to stay. Along with her child." Wari explained before smiling at Kira.
"But you two are together?" The woman asked. Jake looked a little mortified.
"Neytiri. Human and Navi relationships weren't unheard of back home." Jake said quietly.
"Yes but the Olo'eyktan? That isn't ..." She started to ask.
"Neytiri! Not our place." He said urgently. I chuckled. "Plus you really have no room to talk." Her eyes widened.
"Fine." She huffed before turning to us. With a genuine look in her eye, she apologized. "I am sorry."
"It's alright. We know it's out of the norm." Wari smiled. "Now, Tsireya will show you to your marui."
"Thank you. It was nice to meet you." Jake smiled and Tsireya led them away. Wari let Kira down who followed her sister. Wari and I headed back to our marui.
"So, why are they here?"
"They seek uturu."
"Uturu? Why?" I looked up at him confused.
"From the sky people." I nodded. I had a nagging feeling in my chest but shook it off. "You're worried about something."
"You know me to well." I chuckled. He reached down and picked me up. "The thought of humans back on Pandora is just a chilling thought. I can understand why Jake has done this."
"Do not worry, Ma'Y/N. We are safe here." He nuzzled my cheek. I cupped his cheek.
"I know. I just can't help but worry." I said as he carried me into our home.
"Everything will be Okay." He assured me. He sat down and set me on his lap. He began playing with my hair. I sighed, relaxing.
"Okay, my love. I trust you." Not long after that Kira, Teysira, and Aonung came in.
*Time skip*
A couple of weeks later, I was out collecting some shells for jewelry and clothes. I was out wading in the water a ways away from the village when I heard the sound of a fight. I quickly walked that way to see the Sully kids and Aonung with his friends fighting.
"Okay enough!" I yelled walking up to them. "Aonung! Roxto!"
"Shit!" I heard Lo'ak muttered.
"Break it up." I snapped. Aonung and Roxto quickly broke off and backed up. Neteyam pulled Lo'ak away. "Seriously?! Acting like petty children. I can't believe any of you!"
"Ma, I'm ..."
"Don't even Aonung!" I turned to look up at him. "I know you started this so don't even start. I am very disappointed in you." His ears fell back and he curled into himself with his tail dropping.
"Yes ma'am." I turned to the Sully boys and Kiri. They looked surprised at me.
"I'm disappointed in you two as well." I said to Neteyam and Lo'ak. They looked guilty. "Everyone, back to the village. We're going to talk to Wari and Jake now. Kiri you don't have too, sweetheart."
"Yawne?" Wari looked up as we entered. "What's wrong?"
"I'll explain as soon as Jake gets here. Wari looked between the boys and his gaze hardened at the looks of them.
"I may have an idea after all." He said. Once Jake arrived, I explained everything to Jake and Wari and we parted ways to speak to our kids privately. Once at our marui, I pointed at the mat for Aonung to sit.
"Do you have any respect for Kira and I?" I asked. Aonung's ears laid back.
"Of course I do."
"Then why do you treat Kiri like that? Lo'ak? Why do you treat them like demons when you call me Ma? Me, a human?!" I snapped. He flinched. I could feel Wari standing behind me. "You are being disrespectful to me and your sister as well as the Sully children. No more."
"Yes ma'am." He nodded. I turned away, rubbing my head.
"Go, think about what you've done. Think about our family. " Wari dismissed Aonung.
"Yes sir. Yes Ma'am." He stood. "I'm truly sorry, Ma." I nod and he leaves.
"Wari..." I turned to my mate with watery eyes. He gave me a sad smile. "Did I do something too..."
"No, no. You haven't clone anything. I'm sorry, Yawne. I don't know what's gotten into him." Wari knelt in front of me. He took my hand and nuzzled my neck. I could feel the tears nearly spilling from my eyes. I cuddled into his chest. He ran a hand up and down my back. "Shh, yawne."
"I am just confused. Sure he doesn't like humans much and I understand. But Jake proved himself to the Na'vi. His kids are born Na'vi and don't deserve to be treated like demons."
"I hate to say it but I figure he's following his mothers displeasure in the situation." Wari said and I agreed. furiously wiped my face.
"You're right. But Aonung is doing a lot more than grumbling about this." I mumbled as I nodded. He gave a small chuckle before cupping my cheek.
"Well, I believe you straighten him out, Ma'Y/N." He comforted me with encouragement.
"Thank you, Ma'Wari. I hope so." I smiled before sighing. "I don't know what we're going to do with that boy."
A little while later after Wari calmed me down, Jake came to us nearly in a panic with Neteyam and Aonung in tow.
"What?!" I exclaimed as Jake told us that Lo'ak was missing. My mind immediately went to Anoung doing something. I turned to the boy with a glare before Neteyam stepped up.
"I can assure you Aonung didn't have anything to do with it. Just after he spoke privately with you, he came and found me to apologize. And I went with him to apologize to Kiri. So Aonung was with me and Kiri when Loak disappeared."
"Alright. Good. Thank you Neteyam." I said and gave Aonung a soft smile. He gave one back. Tonowari set his hand on my back.
"I'll help look for him." He says turning to Jake. "I have a feeling that this has something to do with my friends. Plus I need to try and make up for the way I've treated him. It wasn't right or fair. I am very sorry."
"Thank you for apologizing," Jake nodded.
"Come. We'll start the search." Tonowari said to Jake. He directed some others before turning to me. "I'll be back. can you keep an eye out in case he makes it back?"
"Of course. Go." He nodded and gave me a kiss on the head. Everyone quickly dispersed but Aonung walked up to me.
"I'm sorry ma. I promise I'll do better by our family." He said genuinely as he knelt down in front of me.
"I know." I hugged him. I gave him a pat on the head. "Now go. Help find Lo'ak. Anything can happen to him out there. You, I, and your father will talk about it more later."
"Yes ma." He smiled. He followed everyone else. I sighed and shook my head.
"Eywa, what am I going to do with that boy?" I asked out loud. I heard a familiar set of giggles next to me. I turned to see Tsireya and Kira. "Come on you two. We better go check on Tuk, Kiri, and Neytiri."
"Okay Ma." They nodded and we left.

Okay could I request a Matt X Chris’s bsf! Reader. Like Chris knows his bestie has it BAD for his brother and he tries to set them up
Divulgence- Matt Sturniolo
Tumblr media
warnings : idk, corny dad jokes that i legit died laughing over lmaoo
“What did the blanket say as it fell off the bed?” Chris asks, hardly able to hold in his giggles. “Oh sheet!”
Matt and I simultaneously burst into laughter, dramatically falling into one another as we struggle to catch our breaths. Chris starts rolling on the floor, his screams sounding throughout the house as he flails his limbs.
“What do you call a man with a rubber toe?” Matt asks, a goofy grin spread over his lips. “Roberto.”
I can’t help but repeatedly hit the couch as my laughter starts up again, completely amused at their corny jokes. Chris is back up for just a second, grabbing onto Matt’s shoulders before falling back to the ground, his face bright red due to the amount of laughter constricting his breath. After a few more minutes of silly giggles, both boys look at me expectantly.
I pause, thinking for a second, before I start snickering to myself. “What happens when you slap Dwayne Johnson on the butt? You hit rock bottom.”
Once again, the three of us are doubling over, unable to contain the joyous sounds coming from our mouths. Tears streaming down our faces, all of us feeling hot with the excessive laughter.
“Wait! Wait!” Matt shouts, attempting to catch his breath before continuing, “Why should you never fight a dinosaur?”
Me and Chris share a look with smiles on our faces, anticipating the punchline.
“Because you’ll get jurasskicked!” Matt exclaims, his voice booming as he starts howling.
Chris and I lose it, our screams echoing around the living room. My body shakes with giggles pouring out of me, left and right. I fall onto Matt’s lap, my head landing on his thighs, slowly calming down. I haven’t laughed this hard in a while, my breath is still erratic. His hands find their way into my hair, brushing it out of my face and wiping the tears from my cheeks. I make eye contact with Chris, who smirks at me as my face flushes pink.
Matt’s left arms falls over my side, his right hand still running through my hair, sending shivers down my body. Chris watches us, his smirk growing wider before sending me a quick wink, causing my cheeks to burn brighter. I turn my head to look up at Matt and realize he’s already looking at me. After he notices he’s been caught staring at me, he awkwardly looks away, a faint blush fanning his face.
“Hey, Y/N. Follow me real quick, I’ve got something to show you.” Chris calls out, beckoning me to follow him as he walks off in the direction of his room.
I give Matt a smile, patting his leg, standing up from him and following Chris. Upon walking into his room, he shuts the door and turns to me with a devilish grin on his face.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” I ask, a small smile on my lips as I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
“When are you going to tell him?” He asks.
My smile fades, a frown taking its place. “Why are you so insistent on me telling him?”
“Because you’re completely head over heels for him.” Chris points out
“That’s beside the point.” I mutter, dismissively.
“Y/N, I love you. You’re my best friend, but be so fucking for real.” He stares at me, his face giving off that he’s fed up.
“What?!” I exclaim, falling back on his bed.
“If you don’t tell him, I will.” He crosses his arms.
I shoot back up, immediately glaring at him, “You wouldn’t!”
He gives me a look and makes a move for his door, prompting me to sprint over to him, jumping on his back.
“Christoper Owen, stop it right now!” I shout, attempting and failing to get him to stop.
He ignores me, walking out of his room and up the stairs, me still on his back. He rounds the corner, entering the kitchen and heading straight for the living room that Matt still resides in.
“Seriously, kid. Knock it the fuck off.” I groan, hitting his back, though it was no use as he’s intent on getting me to spill my feelings for his brother.
Hearing my voice, Matt turns his head and widens his eyes at us, not expecting to see me yanking back on Chris, despite my futile attempts to do literally anything. Chris shakes me off his back, effortlessly, then turns to Matt.
“Follow me real quick, I want to show you something.” Chris says to him, just as he did to me five minutes ago.
I roll my eyes, “Chris, I swear to God.”
He holds his hand out to me, silently telling me to shut up, before waving his hand to Matt, ushering him back in the direction of his room. Matt, obviously confused, obliges anyways and heads downstairs with Chris in suit.
I sit back on the couch, anxiety building in my stomach, my nerves shot. I can’t help the slight tremble in my hands and the bouncing of my foot as I think of the worst.
Chris is my best friend, we’ve been friends for four years, and I’ve probably been in love with Matt for half that time. I never planned on telling him, as I was sure my feelings weren’t reciprocated. I cherished Matt and I’s friendship, and I didn’t want to jeopardize the dynamic. Sure, I, so badly, wanted to be with him and it hurt knowing that everything between us would only ever be platonic, but I’d rather have him as a friend than nothing at all.
Matt has always been so great to me. He’s so kind and loving, incredibly thoughtful, and we just click. I couldn’t help but fall for him and his pretty face, and I feel like an idiot for it. I can’t wrap my head around why I would let myself fall for him when it’s not necessarily the best of circumstances.
I don’t think Chris would intentionally fuck things up between us, but me not knowing what was being said between the two made me feel sick to my stomach. I‘ve always been an anxious person, but especially at times like this. My nerves are racked, and I can’t help the pit of anxiety and anticipation brewing in my stomach.
Before I can continue to dwell on my thoughts, Matt rounds the corner and makes his way to the couch opposite of me. He doesn’t say a word and doesn’t even spare me a glance. With a frown, I look back to the direction he came from, waiting for Chris to emerge, but he doesn’t. It hits me very clearly, as I now realize that Chris divulged my secret with him.
I can’t help the downward turn of my lips, my frown becoming more prominent. I can practically see the new awkwardness and tension that will be riddled throughout our friendship, making things slowly fall apart. I let out a loud breath, closing my eyes, and sighing as I throw my head back against the back of the couch. It feels like there’s a new weight on my shoulder, and I have no idea how to release it.
Suddenly, the seat next to me dips and I can feel a warm presence beside me. I don’t have to open my eyes to know that it’s Matt, I know his cologne like it’s oxygen. I slowly turn my head towards his direction, then open my eyes, immediately coming face to face with him. He stares at me for a moment, and I can’t read his facial expression, so I get a little nervous.
“Um.” He begins, pausing for a moment, before continuing, “Would you, maybe, want to go out? Like on a date? With me? Like not right now, but sometime? Whenever. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. It doesn’t have to be weird or anything, we can forget this ever happened. Like it’s totally okay, honest. Please say something, so I don’t keep rambling like an idiot.”
I can’t help the soft giggles that left my mouth, amused by his stammering. “I’d love to go on a date with you.”
His eyes widen and his mouth forms into an ‘o’ shape, “Like a date date?”
My smile grows, “Yes, Matt, a date date.”
“Wow. Nice.” He smiles back, letting out a breath. “I can’t lie, I was a bit worried you’d say no. Actually, a lot worried. Chris had to convince me to even say anything.”
“Is that what that was about?” I question, furrowing my eyebrows as I motion downstairs to Chris’ room.
He nods, “Yeah, he was basically telling me I need to stop being a pussy and just tell you how I feel.”
“Hmm. He led me to believe he was telling you about my feelings for you. I was straight up dying in here, like ready to throw up everything I’ve digested in the last 24 hours.” I admit.
He lets out a chuckle and scoots closer, placing his arm around me on the back of the couch. “So, how about you tell me about your feelings for me.”
A loud laugh escapes my mouth as I push his face away, him laughing in return as I say, “Maybe on this date you speak of.”
“Fair enough.” He shrugs, pulling me back into him.
He leans his head on my shoulder for a moment before turning it to look at me. When I turn my head in his direction, I notice our faces are only inches apart, causing me to slightly gasp. I can see his eyes flicker from mine to my lips and back, I knew what he wanted.
“Would you be upset if I asked to kiss you?” He whispers, his warm breath fanning my face.
My tongue runs over my lips, subconsciously wetting them as I shake my head from side to side, watching him watch my every move. He slowly inches closer, before his soft pink lips meet mine for the first time. It was a gentle kiss, only lasting a few seconds, before he pulled away to look at me. After taking in my reaction, he comes back in, pressing his mouth to mine. This one, being slower and longer, more passionate. After a minute, I pull back with a smile on my face as I took a deep breath.
“Give me like two minutes, and I’ll be right back.” I state, before taking off towards Chris’ room.
I quickly make my way down the stairs, and swiftly enter his room. Noticing he’s chilling on his bed, I run over to him and engulf him in a big hug. He’s surprised, but returns it nevertheless.
“You good?” He asks in a chuckle.
“Yes. I just wanna say you’re a great best friend and I love you so much. Thanks for keeping my secret, and I’m sorry I doubted you for a moment. And thanks for talking some sense into this kid.”
“Of course, I’d do anything for you.” He smiles, rubbing my back. “Now go back up there and spend some much deserved time with him. Love you, kid.”
With a giggle, I run back upstairs, leaving Chris to continue playing games on his phone. Once I make it in the kitchen, I stop for a moment and stare at Matt. He’s so pretty, I truly love everything about him. His eyes meet mine, a smile instantly pulling to his face. He nods his head at me, beckoning me to come join him once again. So I do.
“Hi.” I smile brightly at him, laying down on the sofa with my head in his lap, like earlier in the night.
“Hi.” He smiles back at me, running his hand through my hair as his other arm goes around me, pulling me closer into him.
“So, about that date.” I say, bringing my lips into my mouth to keep myself from cheesing embarrassingly hard.
The laugh he lets out ruins my attempt, as I can’t help but stare in awe at him. He’s truly everything, and I can’t be more happy that I get to indulge in that now.
a/n : ugh here you go! sorry i feel like this request was forever ago. it is a bit rushed, but only bc i had it all damn near finished and it didn’t save, so i lost basically the whole thing. i’ll do better next time, enjoy. send in reqs! xx

I'm here
Sully Family x Son!Reader
Word count: a lot
Tumblr media
01 02
Prologue
⚠️ : Blood, Swearing
Y/n was the second youngest member of the sully family. Born on 2157, he is one year younger than Lo'ak and Kiri. Y/n was born with a streak of white hair and the color of his skin was lighter than an avatar. He was also a bit small compare to his siblings. Physically Y/n was told that he would be weak and not as strong as a normal avatar, this was said by the other scientists seeing that Y/n had a hard time breathing right after he qas born, but Jake believed that Y/n is just as strong as his siblings.
One thing that concerns them is Y/n's hair. It was never seen before and Jake had to explain to Neytiri back at Earth there are some people with heterochromia that could result different colors in their body. Neytiri might still be confused about it but when she saw Y/n for the first time she immediately loved him. The only left is how others view him.
Growing up Y/n never really interacted with others because he could feel the weird stares from them even if he was a child. Some of them have already gotten used to Y/n's appearance but the other kids might see his hair a bit weird, resulting in Y/n finding it hard to make friends. But he got his family so why should he be worried?
Tumblr media
"Wait for me!!" Little Y/n said as he tried to keep up with his siblings, the kids were running through the forest trying to hide from their parents as they were playing a series of police game their father taught them. "Don't be too loud Y/n! They'll hear us" Kiri said to him while running. Neteyam leads the pack as they went under the leaves and roots of the trees. He stopped and looked at his younger siblings, "Let's split up so we don't lose immediately like last time"
They immediately scattered and Y/n follows Neteyam to his hiding spot. "Y/n? Go you need to hide" Neteyam pushed Y/n away "b-but we always hiwde together" Y/n said as he grabs Neteyam's hand with both of his own. "Y/n..." Neteyam can't stand his baby's brother cuteness "Alright alright you can hide with me but don't be noisy" "Yay!"
"Y/n!" Neteyam shushed him as he giggles
Not even a couple of minutes both of you can hear Lo'ak screaming and running away as your father's voice was not far heard. Neteyam peaked through the small crack between the rocks and saw Lo'ak being drag by his father to the jail area. "Alright, Y/n I need you to stay here until either I get back or dad"
"Okay...but return fast" Y/n held up his little pinky to Neteyam. He smiled and seals the pinky promise, then he sneakily went outside to try and save his stubborn other brother.
Y/n was left alone in a dark hiding spot, minutes went by and he hide there patiently waiting for his parents or Neteyam to find him. He was getting tired and bored of waiting.
He can't help but get excited when he heard a rustle, and thought it was someone coming to find him so he just gets out of his hiding spot. But when he got out he instead saw an adult thanator looking at him. Y/n screamed and runs away as it started to chase after him.
Jake and Neytiri were busy chasing around the other kids and keeping them in place when suddenly they heard Y/n's scream. They both looked at eachother with panic in their eyes "Oh my Eywa, Y/n!" Neytiri shouted, Jake took off running towards the direction. Praying and hoping he'll be alright.
Y/n ran as fast as his little legs can take him but the thanator was getting close and closer every minute. Luckily Y/n saw a small opening under a tree that was located near a ledge that leads to a pond. He immediately tries to get there but before he could the creature clawed one of his leg, causing Y/n to fall over the ledge. He rolls down and landed near the pond. At this point Y/n was shouting and crying for his dad, the pain on his legs didn't make it better either.
The creature landed infront of him, ready to attack again when Jake finally caught up and throws the spear at the creatures abdomen causing it to immediately fall and scram. Luckily he had a spear because he had just finished hunting today.
"Y/N! Oh my god, no no no.." Jake held Y/n in his arms carefully, his hand was stained with Y/n's own blood. "D-daddy..I-I'm scared" "I know baby, I know come on we'll get you home. Stay awake for me alright?" Jakes tries his best to stop the bleeding but then Y/n screamed "It hurts daddy!" Jake was shaking at this point because Y/n was loosing blood. He carefully lifts him up in his arms and began to ran back while carefully trying not to make the pain worse.
"I-It..hurts..." Y/n managed to say as his eyes were getting drowsy little by little. "Y/n! Wake up! Come on don't sleep, everything's going to be fine- baby come on be strong. We're almost home" Jake keeps on repeating it but as much as Y/n tried to stay awake, the pain and exhaustion gets to him eventually.
Y/n can hear his father shouting for him but he can't make up the words. Before Y/n passed out, the last thing he hear was Neytiri's scream
Y/n slowly opens his eyes and saw that he was in a room full off machine and some are attached to him. Y/n began to panic and tries to get up but the doors immediately opened "Y/n!" He saw his mother came into the room and his first instinct was that he wanted to be held by his parents.
He reaches for Neytiri and she went to Y/n's side, holding his hand and hugging him. Y/n sobbed a little as Neytiri kisses his forehead to comfort him while thanking Eywa for saving his life.
Not long after Y/n heard another footsteps and it was Jake, with a baby in his arms. Y/n knew immediately that it was his baby sister. Jake gives the baby to Neytiri and went to lay next to Y/n carefully and he leans into his father's warmth.
Jake wipes away his tears and also kisses his forhead. After Y/n stopped crying his attention shift to the small sleeping figure. "What is her name?" Neytiri smiled at him before answering, "Tuk. Tuktirey te Suli Neytiri'ite" "Tuwk. She's so small" Y/n repeats, and Jake chuckles at his son.
Y/n tries to remove the wires attached to him but Jake quickly stops him "Don't, Y/n."
"But.." Y/n quietly say as Neytiri held his hand. "I know... we'll get if off as soon as you're better alright?" He said as he stroked your hair.
"Is your leg still hurting?" Jake asked and Y/n shakes his head "Can I still play with Lo'ak, Nete, Kiri and Spidew?" Y/n asked
"Of course you can, but first you need to rest so you can get better" "But I want to sleep in my bed with daddy and mommy... I don't want to sleep here.." Neytiri squeeze Y/n's hand reassuringly. She can't stand seeing her child in this state. When Jake came back with Y/n, she was scared to death seeing him bleeding and unconscious. She was also close with her due and she doesn't want to lose a child on an important day.
Y/n was out for a couple of days and Jake had to make sure that Neytiri isn't stressing out because it might harm the baby. Neytiri was heartbroken because Y/n was so excited to meet his little sister. Thankfully Neytiri was able to deliver safely and the baby was healthy.
Y/n had to stay there for a while and he hated every single second of it. He felt scared and alone. He cannot see his siblings yet other than Tuk who was aslsep in his mother's arms mostly. Neytiri and Jake make sure to take turn to visit Y/n every single day.
He thought that everything would be back to the way it used to be but since that event Y/n was forbid to be out of Jake's sight or even go out to the forest alone or with his siblings. He was only allowed to go if either Neytiri or Jake was with him. In result Y/n spends his time almost everyday at home.
At first he was alright with it, thinking that Jake just wanted to protect him. But as time passes he started to notice that he also was constantly overlooked by his father and when he asked him to go and train together with Nete and Lo'ak he would always refused. Sometimes Y/n was upset with his father and often felt ignored by him until to the point where he felt like his father forgot he existed. All of this started when the sky people came back, of course it was the more reason he wasn't allowed to go out to the forest.
Tumblr media
<Present day>
Y/n was with his grandmother, Mo'at. It was really something he would do around the camp. He only ever went out with either his parents and it was only on special occasions. Y/n was dying of boredom and he would always felt sad and jealous when the others can go out and play while he would have to stay behind. Tuk would sometime sneak out with the rest but Jake was too soft on her and she would get away with it.
Well let's say that Y/n didn't have the same privilege as Tuk. And sure the event he had was traumatic but sometimes he longed to be in the forest. He had asked Jake about it and his answer was always like "your not careful enough"
He would spend his time learning about making things from scratch, listening to music/radio that Jake gave him, and helping around the camp. Sometimes helping Kiri tend to the wounded.
Suddenly Tuk came in jumping with joy "Y/n! Come on! They are here!" Before Y/n could react Tuk takes his hand and drags him out of the tent.
Outside he saw Kiri and Spider "Y/n do you feel better?" Kiri asked, and Y/n responded with a nod. "Why did you sneak inside there bro? You know that place isn't for playing around.." Spider commented. "I was just curious" Y/n folded his arms in annoyance. "Plus dad already scolded me, so sadly I don't need anymore scolding monkey brain." Y/n chuckles a bit before running to catch up on Tuk "Hey! It's monkey boy. Not monkey brain!"
Tuk ran to their mother while Y/n noticed that their father looked pissed. He looks at his brother, Neteyam and noticed that he is injured. He knew where this is going so he just greeted his mother first, "Are you feeling alright Y/n?"
"I'm okay" he responded quietly and hugged his mother. Neytiri hugs him back and stroke his head, yesterday Y/n accidentally inhaled a black powder from opening a bullet in the armory. He coughed uncontrollably and had a hard time to breathe, luckily Norm and Jake was there.
Neytiri never hated those weapons more in her life and for sometime she was upset that they are raiding the sky people's weapon. As he was treated Neteyam and Lo'ak stayed beside him, Y/n was always their 'baby brother' since they were kids. Not only that, because of his white hair he was always picked on by other kids and his brothers are the one who always defended him.
After greeting his mother, Y/n stared at Neytiri and asked "Mother, when can I join you and dad? Also can I please try and seek my own ikran? I'll be careful.." Neytiri couldn't resist his son's pleading but she can't do much if her husband hasn't agree with it. "When the time comes you may, you know your father is very cautious of the sky people" "But what if my ikran comes by itself and friendly? Like Kiri" Neytiri chuckles "Your not Kiri, you are Y/n." She caress Y/n's cheek gently as he huffs in disappointment, then Tuk joined the conversation "What about me mommy?" "You know the answer Tuk" Neytiri said as she picked her up
Y/n looked at his brothers who were being scold by their dad, Y/n couldn't stand it anymore, it is always the same thing again and again. Lo'ak gets into trouble and Neteyam always tries to protect Lo'ak from their father's wrath. But this time their father keep on scolding them while Neteyam is injured. Finally Y/n speaks up "Neteyam is hurt." Jake looks at him "Yes. I am aware-" "then we should treat the wound" Y/n cuts him off. It was silence for a moment until Jake speaks again "Kiri, help with the wounded."
"My brother is also injured" Kiri said implying to what Y/n said earlier. "Father, I take full responsibility" Neteyam tried to ease his father's wrath but Jake responds back "Yes, because you are the oldest and you must behave accordingly." Y/n grabs his mother's hand and looked at her. Neytiri understood what he meant and finally speaks "Ma Jake, your son is bleeding"
"It doesn't matter, mother."
"Yes it does. It could get infected" said Y/n. Jake looks at him before looking at his wife. "Go in and get patched up" Neteyam was dismissed and the others went along with Kiri except Y/n.
Jake looks at Lo'ak "You must be aware that you almost had your brother killed. You are banned from flying for a month." Lo'ak stayed silent, accepting the punishment
Since the sky people invaded back Jake has been quite hard on his sons and Y/n being the youngest was also included. Despite that Y/n still can't venture out to the forest anymore since they have to go on hiding and he was forbid to go to the forest alone even though he was already old enough. Lo'ak and the others were allowed only until eclipse but Y/n was still not allowed. The worse part is that he never gets an explanation from Jake.
Y/n remembers the time back when he was younger his father was not this strict and he nevers get mad at them, "Look at me" Y/n was snapped back to reality. He looked around and Lo'ak was already gone.
Jake crouched down to look at his youngest son, Y/n slowly looks at him. He never spends anymore more time with his father as he grew older because Jake was so focused on Lo'ak and Neteyam. "So how are you feeling?" Jake asked, Y/n was surprised by the question "I'm fine.." was all he could say. He wanted to hear those words since yesterday but Jake left because there was a problem.
"Y/n...I know how much you want to be out there but we both that you're not ready yet" he said while looking at Y/n. Jake always knew deep down he can't keep him forever in the camp because Y/n was just as stubborn like him. This wasn't the first time Jake disscuss this with Y/n because he would always ask him if he has the chance. Y/n wanted to protest but he can't because he still respects his father.
Jake then stands up and began to walk away, Y/n looked back at his father and mustered up the courage to stop him. "Dad! Then can we please spend time together? I want to go out and explore....and I missed you" the last part was very quiet but Jake hears it. Jake thinks for a moment before looking back at Y/n, his eyes was not as grumpy as before. "Underneath the big old tree?" Y/n's ear perked up, he was happy that his father still remembers that place. Y/n nodded and Jake left to do his other work.
Y/n went inside the tent and as usual it was lively and noisy because mostly it was Neteyam hissing from the pain while their grandmother treat his wounds. "You alright Nete?" Y/n asked, "Never been better- ow!" he winced again. Kiri voiced her opinion about using Yalnabark to Mo'at but she reminded her who was the tashik here, Y/n knew that Kiri was going to be a great tashik one day, after witnessing her relationship with Eywa he couldn't help but be amazed by her. He sat beside Lo'ak and stroke his hand, although he was younger than Lo'ak, Y/n has always been there to comfort him. Lo'ak looks at him and leans his head on Y/n's shoulder.
Outside, Neytiri approached her lover "What is it" Jake asked. "Neteyam and Lo'ak try to live up to you. It's hard for them."
"I know" Jake answered
"And Y/n. You are hard on them." Neytiri added, "I'm their father. That's my job" he told her. Neytiri puts her hand on his shoulder and looked at him "This is not a squad. This is family" Her tone serious. Jake stops whatever he was doing and exhale for a moment "I thought we had lost him. It's the same feeling when Y/n had that accident and that memory replays on my mind"
Neytiri looks at him for a moment. It was a traumatic event for the family especially when Y/n was the youngest at that time. Neytiri cups his lovers face and makes him look her in the eyes, "Ma Jake. He is here, with us. Alive and safe, can't you see that?" "He was only four when that happend. If only I had been quicker on-" Neytiri interrupts him with a kiss which is something rare "Stop blaming yourself for something that you cannot prevent" Jake still blames himself with what happends to Y/n and just hours ago he almost lost his other sons.

Y/n's POV
The next day went just like I predicted. I was so stupid to think that it could come true. Dad has problems to take care of so he can't spend time with me. Again. I can only think positively that there would always be a next time or a next day. I was extremely sad and upset with him so I went inside my tent to make an accessory for Tuk, at first I felt fine when dad said that to me.
But then now I felt like someone that's.. not even there, useless compare to my older siblings. I wasn't strong like my brothers, or smart and special like Kiri or even as bright and joyful like Tuk... A tear suddenly dropped down from my eye without me even realizing, dad doesn't care how I feel. Am I really that weak?
Suddenly someone came into the tent, I quickly wipe my tears "Y/n are you crying?" It was Lo'ak...Shit, I forget he was grounded.
~~~
Y/n was silent for a while to calm down his feelings, "I was just upset the accessory didn't came out as I wanted" Lo'ak rolls his eyes "You'd never cry over something like that, are you having a bad day?" "I'm not having a bad day."
Lo'ak replied a bit mockingly "You suuuree? Is it because of you getting rejected by a girl again?" "Stop it Lo'ak. I don't like anyone" "So why are you crying?" Y/n looked back at him "I'm not!" "Woww getting defensive are we, yea....you were probably crying"
Y/n clenched his fist and throws the unfinished accessory to Lo'ak "Ow! That hurts you meanie..." "Leave me alone you skxawng!! I HATE YOU!" As much as Y/n loved his brother, sometimes he gets on his nerve "So what if I'm crying?! It's not your business!!" Y/n was shouting at this point and his eyes began to water again. Lo'ak realized that something was really hurting his baby brother. Out of instinct he hugged Y/n.
Y/n hits Lo'ak shoulder "Let me go! You idiot!" He tries to get away from Lo'ak hug but that plan quickly failed.
After calming down, Y/n felt his brother stroking his head trying to comfort him. It was something Y/n would always do to Neteyam and Lo'ak whenever they had a bad day. "It's because of dad isn't it?" Y/n stayed quiet. "Y/n listen to me your not weak" Lo'ak says but Y/n scoffs in response "I can't even defend myself from the bullies and I don't have any kind of freedom. If I'm not weak I could've joined you guys out there"
Lo'ak pulls away from Y/n and holds his shoulder. "Then how about we go an a little adventure?" Lo'ak was smiling at this point and Y/n knew he was up to something. ".....you mean like going out?" "Yeah, while your big brother is here let's go out and explore. I'll take you to our hideout!"
Y/n hesitates for a while, he was afraid Jake would get mad at him. "We'll be home before they'll be here, no one has to know" Y/n thinks for a while before saying "Alright. I haven't seen the forest for some quite time either"
Tumblr media
Y/n can't believe this, he was really going out again into the wilderness. Lo'ak was leading them at front and Y/n was at the very back of the line as he was watching over Tuk. Honestly, Y/n didn't agree with her coming with them but everyone always loses with Tuk.
"Lo'ak, are you sure it's safe for Tuk to come with us?" Y/n said as he jumped from one root to another. "It's fine, there's me, Kiri and you"
"But why would you bring her in the first place?" Lo'ak turn to Y/n and Tuk "The honking princess. I'm gossiping. You must not go out to the battlefield. I'll tell mom if you don't take me." Lo'ak said mockingly and Tuk sticks her tongue out in response. "Come on guys! You're so slow" Spider said and they continue their little adventure.
Tumblr media
After entering the forest, the others went along while Y/n stayed back for a while. It's been along time since he went into the forest and it was as beautiful as he imagined. He sees various types of plants and animal, and he can hear small chirps here and there, he even met his favorite animal the fan lizard. He slowly walked through the forest admiring everything. He then came across Kiri, sleeping on the forest ground.
He planned waking her up but he saw that she looked so peaceful. It was as if Eywa was with her, the ground around her beating as if it was alive. He decided to give her some time and went somewhere else.
As he went deeper he was stopped when a woodsprite approaching him.
Tumblr media
Y/n smiles and overs his hand to it and as it landed on Y/n, his stripes glowed and he felt like a tingle resulting in him giggling. Another woodsprite came and land on his head and another.
His stripes glows even brighter and brighter, Y/n suddenly heard his name being called so he pulled away from the woodsprites and as he walks he saw the ground around him changed, it was full of flowers
"What the.."
"Y/n! Where are you?!" He heard Lo'ak shouted. He thought that maybe he just didn't noticed it before so he ran back to his siblings.
Time passes and they were walking back home when Lo'ak suddenly noticed something on the ground. Y/n looked over it and saw that it was like a na'vi footprint but different.
"We're always supposed to be home by eclipse" Tuk said commented
Lo'ak and Spider looks at the footprints again "Way too big for a human" "Avatars?" Spider asked. "Maybe, but they're sure not ours" they began to follow the footsteps "What are you doing?" Kiri asked. "Shh, I'm tracking" Y/n knew Lo'ak was going to follow it
"I don't think we should follow it" He said to them but none of his siblings listen to him. Lo'ak keeps on moving while the others follow.
Y/n sighs and grabs Tuk hand, hoping one of them would at least listen to him "Let's go home" "No! I also want to know" She refuses. Y/n turned to Kiri and saw her following the rest. Y/n had no choice but to follow his siblings since he wasn't familiar with the way home.
'Dad is going to kill me..' Y/n repeats those words in his mind
Tumblr media
The atmosphere was quiet and no one dares to make a sound. Y/n immediately knew where this is was. He remebers their father warning them not to come here. Y/n was about to say something but Lo'ak covers his mouth and pointed in front of them. Y/n froze when saw avatars surrounding the old shack.
"Dad is going to ground you for life" Kiri whispered but Lo'ak just shushed her in response. "Bro, we've got to check this out, let's go" "Lo'ak no!" Y/n shout-whispered at him while grabbing his arms. Lo'ak looks back at Y/n, "We might need to report this to dad, me and Spider will go out so stay here" He answered whispering back. Y/n gave him a 'you serious' look and whispered back "I'm coming with you, if anything both of you are very stubborn" "sounds fair then, let's go" Spider said before going first silently
The three of them sneak from behind the bushes and trees to take a better look. "Bro, that's where your dad and my dad fought" Spider said and Lo'ak commented "That's your dad actual suit" "Holy shit..." both of them looked amazed
"Both of you are unbelievable.." Y/n mumbled grumpily. He saw the avatars going outside and talks to eachother about something. "Better call this in" Lo'ak said. "No bro, we're gonna get in trouble" Spider protest but Lo'ak just takes Y/n's hand and drags him along "Let's go"
Lo'ak immediately called Jake and the others we're listening while Y/n just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.
Y/n then heard Lo'ak mentioning their names hesitantly "There's me, Spider, Kiri... Tuk-" Y/n looked at him dead in the eye hoping he wouldn't say his name but Lo'ak didn't seemed to get it
"-and Y/n" Lo'ak looks a bit scared talking to his father and admitting he brought Y/n who was not allowed to go. Y/n can't listen to his father's voice because he doesn't wear any device but then Kiri takes his hand and Tuk's as Lo'ak said "Yes sir, moving out."
"What did dad say Kiri?" Y/n asked. "Of course he told us to get out of here, it's dangerous" Kiri replied and added "Lo'ak is going to be in a lot of trouble and none of us can save him now"
Y/n looked at her "Believe me, I wish his ass get spanked by dad"
Y/n's POV
We immediately stand up and began to retreat. Kiri kept on saying to Lo'ak that he's going to be in so much trouble and hoenstly I agree. Tuk was running infront of us so I immediately catch up to her and grab her hand. "It's almost eclipse, come on" Tuk said and in a second I heard something near us and immediately pushes Tuk behind me as we keep walking.
I turn my head to the group "Lo'ak there's something-" Suddenly someone grabs me and pulled my tsaheylu causing me to scream. The avatar from before held me still so I can't move.
"Y/N!!" My siblings shouted for my name and just like that we were surrounded by the avatars before. Lo'ak and Spider immediately prepares to fight them but they were holding guns.
"Put it down! Or I'll shoot!" I hear one of them say. I tried to fight back the avatar that was holding me but she yanked me up the ground by my hair and held a knife to my throat "Drop it or he gets it!" All of my siblings looked at me and I saw Tuk crying.
"L-Lo" I managed to say while I was in pain. Lo'ak looked at the avatar holding me furiously and finally said "Drop it" Spider lowers down his weapon and they immediately take a hold of everyone and forced them to kneel down harshly. "Get down on the ground. Stop fighting" one of them said as they harshly grab on Kiri's hair. "Check them for weapons" "Kiri!" Everyone was screaming and my head is hurting.
I can't focus on anything, I look at Lo'ak who was treated roughly and Spider. Tuk was scared and crying as they did the same to her. I was also finally set on the ground but her grip was still the same, not letting go and tears rolled down from my eyes seeing my siblings in pain. Tuk was so frightened..
"Tuk.. Tuk calm down, it's alright Tuk" I say to Tuk hoping she would calm down but she saw me crying shouted my name's and Kiri's.
"Be calm" Kiri said to her suprisingly calm although I knew she was also hurting. The soldiers checked us for weapons. After that they gathered us in a circle, the avatar women still has her knife up to my throat so I can't struggle much.
Tuk was looking at me, "Look away Tuk" I said to her shakingly and she did. I prayed to Eywa that our parents can find us soon and I heard the leader speaks, I turn to look at Lo'ak and he was also looking at me. I could see guilt and worry in his eyes, all of us are held captive by some unknown avatars.
~~~ (There's a lot of hair pulling in this scene I don't even know why 💀)
The colonel takes a look at the kids "What have we here?" He said and looked at Spider, probably confused to why there was a human but quickly shifted back it's focus on the others. One of them held Kiri's hand "Look, Colonel. Check it out. 5 fingers, We've got a half-breed" Kiri struggles and the avatar pulled on her head again.
He then turned to Lo'ak "Show me your fingers" Lo'ak looked back at him and raised his middle finger at him. Colonel only chuckles as he turned to Y/n. He sends a signal to his comrade and she lowers her knife from Y/n. "Would you look at this, a new hybird I suppose" Colonel said as he strokes Y/n's white hair. "You reminded me of someone.." he mumbled and Y/n stayed quiet. Eyes glaring at the Colonel as he reaches out and inspects Y/n's face left to right.
"You're his, aren't you?" He asked
Y/n tries to move his face away but the woman yanked his head upwards causing him to winced in pain. Lo'ak hissed at them "Don't touch him!"
He turns to Lo'ak amused. He walked towards him and grabs him by the hair, "Where is he?"
Lo'ak looks at him innocently "Unfortunately I don't speak english...with assholes"
Colonel answered him with a broken na'vi "Where is your father?" Clearly pissed. He pulled on Lo'ak's hair making him groan. Y/n's tail flicked left and right, scared that the soldier will do something to Lo'ak.
"Really? You wanna play it this way" He pulled out a knife and held it infront of Lo'ak.
Y/n's POV
"Don't harm him you fucker!" I shouted to him in english and he immediately stops. Lo'ak and Kiri stared at me before panicking.
He drops Lo'ak and approched me instead. "Y/n!" "No! Stop!" Kiri and Lo'ak shouted continously. "You seems to care for this little crybaby" He grab me from behind so I was facing Lo'ak and he inched the knife closer to my throat.
"Y/N!!"
I can feel the sharp edge piercing my skin. My siblings looked at me in horror and Lo'ak was fighting and pleading for him to stop.
"Hey! Hey! Don't hurt him please, stop it!" Spider shouted to the colonel and he got his attention. The colonel looked at him and drops me to the ground as I breathed out relieved.
"What’s your name kid?" He asked Spider
"Spider, Socorro" The colonel looked at him and asked him to be let go. He kneels infront of Spider and spoke out a name that I haven't even heard before "Miles?"
Spider looked at him with hatred "Nobody calls me that."
"I'll be damned. I figure they sent you back to Earth"
"Can't put babies in cryo dipshit." Spider replied and Colonel just looked at him as he stands up.
He uses his device and started to send coordinates about where we are. They pulled us up and force us to go back to the old shack.
They tied our hands and I was pushed to the ground beside Lo'ak. "What a freak" I hear one of them say. I completely stayed still, even though I've been hearing it for years it still bothers me in some way.
Lo'ak helps me sit up and hissed at them while they laughed. "You alright? Don't listen to them" He pulled me close and looked at my wound. "It's not that deep, I'm fine." I reassure him. His face was upset and sad so I just leaned on him. Sure the wound stings but it's bearable.
He held my hand, trying to comfort me. I was exhausted and my whole body ached at this point.
I heard an audio being played and they are pointing out it was dad and mom. I peeked over behind me and saw that they were watching a video of them battling. The colonel looked at me "Now I know why you're so familiar. A spitting image of your mother"
I hissed at him and turn away from them.
Hours passed by and the sun had already set. It was getting pretty dark. I was being held by the avatars when I suddenly hear a familiar calling. My ears perked up, trying to locate where the sound was. I look at Tuk and she seems to notice it too.
It was mom, I let out a small smile knowing that our parents are here. The others began to notice and stand on their ground on guard.
I saw that Kiri was praying to Eywa, the avatar told her to shut up but she didn't listen. But then in a flash the avatar that was holding her got shot in the head.
~~
The soldiers pushed away the kids and began to fire at Neytiri. Lo'ak triggers the smoke bom on the soldier and began to bite his way out of their grip. The others followed and as they began to run one of them grabbed Kiri's hair but got shot. Y/n was behind her and the colonel grip his hair, pulling him back as he fall.
"Lo'ak!" Y/n shouted in full panic. Lo'ak turned around and tries to go back for Y/n but Spider holds him back. "Lo'ak! Keep going!!" "LET GO! THEY HAVE Y/N!" "DON'T BE RECKLESS! JAKE AND NEYTIRI IS STILL THERE!" Spider shouted back at him. Lo'ak was conflicted but he knew that if he goes back the situation might get worse.
Quartich pulled Y/n beside him as he take cover. Y/n tried to run but Quartich wrapped his arm around him and reloaded his weapon. Y/n shouted in pain and his wound was pressed down. After he was done he covers Y/n's mouth to prevent him from making any noise and points his gun at him.
"Is that you, Mrs. Sully? I recognize your calling card!" Quartich shouted. Neytiri's breath hitched as she knew her son was being held by him. Quartich instructs one of the soldier to sneak around and kill Neytiri. Y/n tries to shout to warn his mom but his mouth was shut.
"Sh sh... don't want to ruin the surprise now do we?" Quartich said.
"Why don't you come on out Mrs. Sully? You seemed to drop one of your kids here. Why don't we have a little trade hm? Your son for our unfinished business."
Neytiri thinks for a while very carefully as she also ensures her other children are already at safety. She took a deep breath. Now she only have to save Y/n and kill the man holding her son.
"Demon! I will stop you as many times as I have to." She censored some of her words because she doesn't want Y/n to hear it.
"You and the corporal have been pretty busy haven't you? Got yourself a whole litter of half-breeds, I found one here looking exactly like his mother."
Quartich drags Y/n out of hiding. "Would be ashamed for this one to pass on early". Neytiri could hear Y/n muffled scream.
Y/n saw one of the soldiers pointing to where his mom were at and he started to trash around hoping his mother would noticed. As the soldier attempt to fire, an arrow suddenly shot him. Neteyam came in view.
Neytiri quickly shot quartich in the shoulder resulting his grip on Y/n to fall. Y/n quickly ran to where his mother were, he tried to go to Nete but the soldiers were in the way and he saw Jake pushing Neteyam out of the way.
"Mom!" Y/n shouted. Neytiri was not far up the branch above him. She quickly pulled Y/n up and began to run. As they were running, a rocket gun was fired at them, Neytiri and Y/n falls down to the ground but Neytiri quickly gets back up "Y/n! Get up!"
Y/n's ear was ringing but his mother pulled him up and they began to run again. They met Kiri who was shouting for Spider's name. Y/n looked down as saw he was hit, the soldiers were coming closer and Neytiri drag Kiri out from there.
Y/n was upset that Spider was taken from them. But that feeling soon was replaced with huge relief as he saw the rest. "Nete!" Y/n shouted as he ran to hug him. "Y/n! Are you okay?" Neteyam was looking for injury and saw that Y/n's neck had a cut. Neteyam looked at Lo'ak who were looking down. "I'm fine Nete" Y/n said as he looked at Kiri who were crying that Spider was taken
Y/n's POV
"Y/n." Dad called me, I looked up at him. His emotions were unreadable, I didn't know if he is upset or what. "Dad-"
Before I could finish talking he immediately noticed my neck "Don't talk, your wound might get worse" he said to me. I instinctively shut up and look down.. dad is probably mad at me after what I did. "I'm sorry" I whispered. He walked closer to me and pulled me into a hug. "There's no need to apologize I'm glad your safe"
I hugged him back and Tuk joined. Definitely was not expecting a hug but I could use some of that. After a while all of us went back to the camp. Mo'at was taking care of my wound when Tuk suddenly came inside
"Y/n, I think we are leaving"

Bridget x Fem! OC

Tumblr media
"Come any closer and I'm hexing your cotton candy ass." Hecate hissed at the princess who had appeared next to her.
Bridget merely giggled, leaning further over her shoulder to continue reading with her, completely disregarding the fact that she just got threatened.
"I'm not kidding Bridget." She snapped her book shut, in the meantime Bridget got comfortable and sat down behind her, leaning back against the tree and placing her chin on her shoulder.
"Mhm, you love me too much to hex me." The Wonderlandian sounded a bit smug, but overall as nice as always.
Hecate kept quiet, pulling her knees up to her chest with a grumble, Bridget sitting up on her knees and crawling around her to sit in front of her.
"You're so pretty." She mumbled, leaning closer on her palms.
The witch only huffed and turned her head away, Bridget pulling her legs away from her chest a bit and placing her chin on her knees again.
"I mean it!" She spotted the corner of her lips quirking up, smiling brightly herself.
"You're the prettiest girl i've ever seen, and i've seen a lot of girls!" Hecate turned to her with an arched brow.
"You realise how that sounds don't you?" The court magician's daughter looked down at her princess, who merely gave her a lopsided grin.
"You stupid princess." She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.
"Your stupid princess." Bridget happily chimed, Hecate gave her a small smile.
Bridget jumped at it, getting in between her legs and pushing her face even closer to hers.
"You smiled! I got you to smile!" She proudly grinned, and Hecate couldn't help the laugh that burst out of her chest.
"You're so stupid." Bridget merely wrapped her in a tight hug, hecate demonstrating.
-
"Why can't I go with her! There's no protection in that school! I'm strong! Let me be there to protect her!" Hecate protested against her father, who rolled his eyes and ignored her to continue working.
"Dad!"
"You are staying here and continuing your education as my successor you need to know everything I do and more! End of discussion. We can continue this when you're strong enough to hold your own against an army, I did not name you after Hecate for you to turn out like some low life scum." Hecate felt her eyes water, tears threatening to spill out at any moment.
"Don't make me stay here, I can't let her go without-!"
"You can, and if you can't you better get used to it! Now get out!" The indigo-haired girl held her breath as to not blurt out even more, simply storming out, bumping into a teary eyed Bridget.
"You can't come with me?" She asked, her voice watery and unstable.
"I can't..." Hecate looked down, Bridget took her hands in hers, making her look up at her again.
"I'll miss you, more than you'll ever know." Bridget smiled through her words, even though she had a few tears slipping out already.
"I won't miss you. I'm glad i'm losing a pain in the ass." Hecate huffed out, looking away whilst Bridget still held onto her hands.
"Right... nothing else right?" Bridget giggled, Hecate glancing back at her.
"Nothing else. Go or I'll hex you again!" She didn't even try getting her hands out of Bridget's, who stepped closer.
"You're going to miss me so much, you'll send me a letter before i'm even out of the land." The princess kissed the cheek that was turned to her, watching as hecate flushed red and bit on her bottom lip.
"No I won't!" She burst out, looking back at Bridget, who ducked her head under hers to hide her giggles.
"You will, you'll send me letter after letter begging for me to come back!"
-3 year timeskip, they're 17 now-
"So this is where she's been for three years now?"
"You're talking as if she doesn't come home every vacation." Hecate's father pointed out, looking at his daughter with a small frown.
"If you're this dull I'll have to take you back to Wonderland."
"She hasn't been back in a year though, i'm pretty confused about that." Hecate shrugged, swinging a few bags over her shoulder, her other hand holding onto a suitcase.
"Anyway, i'm gone now, bye." Her father nodded, returning into the red carriage as his daughter went through the entrance of Merlin Academy, being greeted by Merlin.
"Hecate! How wonderful that you're here already! Your dorm is just this way..."
Once she got settled into her dorm, she set out to find the one person she'd go this far for.
She found her in the courtyard, something being shoved out of her hands and into the fountain, her book bag following soon after.
Hecate stalked up behind her, glaring daggers at the perpetrators, who merely stared back.
"Get the fuck away from her or i'll fucking kill you." She hissed out, magical daggers appearing around their throats, threateningly close to their skin.
They freaked, quickly running away, leaving Bridget in a slight stupor.
"Bridget..." Hecate was a bit scared that she won't recognise her, she had grown significantly in the last year.
"Who are you?" The princess asked, looking up at her with those sweet brown eyes that DEFINITELY DIDN'T haunt Hecate in her dreams.
"Oh, i'm Hecate." She slightly smiled down at the girl, whose lips fell into an O shape, her books being fished out of the pond and dried off with a wave of Hecate's hand.
"How do you know my name?" The books nearly dropped back into the pond, and Hecate turned to her princess with slightly widened eyes.
She stood there wordless for a few seconds, staring at the face that she had been working tirelessly towards seeing every day for the last three years.
"Right... Merlin asked me to find you, i'm new and you're supposed to give me a tour." Hecate smiled, even though it looked very sour.
"Oh my gosh! You're the new student everyone was talking about! Is it true that you wiped out an entire army?" She whispered the last part as if it was a secret, as if Hecate hadn't been gloating about it and that she'll finally get to be her princess' bodyguard to anyone who would listen, even the coachman from before had requested she shut the window dividing them.
"Mhm, yes, that was me, but i'd like to know where my classes are." The grinning girl before her quickly nodded, grabbing her hand and rushing her to the front desk to ask for her schedule.
"We have the same schedule! How very exciting!" Like the queen of Wonderland hadn't requested it herself.
"Very exciting indeed." Stop talking to her, she doesn't even recognise you.
-
And so went the months, in which Bridget STILL DID'T recognise Hecate, and Uliana tried to spell her for protecting the princess.
"So, why don't you go home during vacations?" She had completely given up on her noticing who she was, instead returning to her friendship with the pink haired girl.
"Well... there's this girl, and like, she-." She stopped talking, looking down at her own hands, "She's a really close friend of mine, but she always keeps me guessing if she really values or friendship or not, because about a year ago I just stopped receiving letters from her." Hecate stared at her, jaw slacked open, eyes wide.
"What."
"She stopped sending me letters, it's a bit awkward to go home now." She sheepishly smiled, that same stupid smile that made her so irresistible to Hecate. Who said that?!
"Excuse me, I have to go check on something really quickly."
"Oh? Allright! Have fun babe!"
-
"You stopped my letters to Bridget!" She yelled at her father over a magical connection, she saw him roll his eyes through the crystal ball.
"Shut up little girl, she was making you weak and unfocused. Every time you read her letters you'd get distracted and you'd get bested in a duel, you and your lovesick ways. Love isn't a priority, power is. So don't even try-!" Hecate cut off the connection, seething.
"How dare he! That stupid old man has no right to take my Bri-." She stopped herself, staring at the wall in front of her as she slowly realised.
"I'm in love with Bridget."
-
And then it was even more awkward, for Hecate, of course.
"Babes!" Bridget jumped onto Hecate's back, wrapping her arms around her neck and placing her chin on her shoulder.
"Hiii!" She grinned, even though Hecate couldn't see her.
"Hey Bridget." Hecate continued walking through the halls, towards the dining hall, where Ella was waiting on them.
"Did you get a good sleep? I slept like an angel! I had the craziest dream!"
"What kind of dream?"
"Uh... how did you sleep?" She quickly deflected the question, and Hecate didnt question further.
"I slept fairly well, was kept up a bit by the homework though." More like kept up by Bridget's beautiful face and the reality of how fucked she was once again hitting her square in the jaw.
"Right... homework...." Hecate sighed, Bridget dropping off of her and speeding up a bit to walk in front of her, turning around with her arms behind her back.
"Would you be a dear and let me copy off of you?" Hecate waved Ella over, ignoring Bridget's whining about how she'll get in trouble.
"Ella! Help me convince Hecate!"
"What'd she do now?" Ella joined them as they walked into the dining hall, Bridget still walking backwards as she pouted at Hecate.
"She won't let me copy her homework! She wants me to be in trouble..." She sadly trialed off, Ella sharing a glance with Hecate, whose only response was a shrug.
"I'm getting my food, bye." Hecate turned around and walked to the buffet, leaving Bridget who stared after her with a playful frown.
"C'mon! Hecate!" Ella covered up her laugh with a cough, placing her book bag on a chair next to Bridget's, the princess quickly taking out her homework and finally starting on it after asking Ella what exactly they had to do.
"So the princess is finally doing something? What phenomenon am I witnessing?" Bridget ignored her, even when she placed a tray of food next to her, and another one for Ella.
"Thanks witch." The witch gave her a disgruntled huff, but kept her words to herself as she sat down opposite of them, starting on her own tray.
"What homework is she doing?"
Ella looked up at her with a hum, having been shoving her food around. "Oh, I think she's on spells now, why?" Hecate snapped her fingers, the papers slipped out from underneath Bridget's pen, the pen following soon after.
"You have to stop daydreaming about what you'll bake next." She quickly shook her head yes, happily grinning over at the girl doing her homework, and started to eat.
"She's so spoiled." Ella 'whispered' over to Hecate.
"I know, i'm spoiling her too much." Hecate 'whispered' back, Bridget pulling a face.
"I'm not spoiled!"
-
"It's family day!" Bridget burst into Hecate's dorm, who was holding a letter from said girl's family.
"Really? Haven't noticed." She sarcastically spoke, pointing outside to the banner saying 'welcome families!'.
"Ooh! Is that your parents?" Bridget popped up beside her, trying to read it.
"No, also, my mom's dead." Bridget's eyes widened, looking up at the girl.
"She's dead? Oh my god i'm so sorry!"
"What? No I mean like dead to me, she abandoned me with my father." It didn't stop Bridget from wrapping her arms around her and squeezing really tightly. God that girl was so much stronger than she let on.
"So who's the letter from?" She tried reading it again, but Hecate held it above her head.
"It's nothing, just some girl's parents telling me to keel her occupied because they'll be a few minutes late." Bridget nodded, letting her go, turning to her closet and opening it.
"You have to look good! I'm introducing you to my parents!" Hecate had to bite her lip to stop herself from saying that she already knew them.
"Of course, now why exactly are you holding white." Hecate sat down on her bed, watching her rifle through blouses, eventually landing on an off white blouse, and she was clearly searching for lighter colours.
"So we can match! How do you have this?" She held up an oversized jacket, which was light pink and looked like it had been worn for at least half a year or something.
"Oh... I got it from an old friend, she send it to me about a year or so ago?" Hecate mindlessly picked at her nails, leaning back on one of her palms, not like Bridget would recognise her now of all times.
"Hey Hecate?" She hummed, "Are you... like, you know?" Hecate's head shot up, did she finally realise?
"In trouble? Like, financially or with the wrong people? I've seen your scars, they seem to be from fighting?" STUPID PRINCESS.
"Yeah... i'm not in trouble, that's from the army beating, I wore that jacket when I was fighting them, kinda to remind myself of why i was doing it." Such a sweet reason, which would be sweeter if SHE RECOGNISED HER AND HER EFFORTS.
"That's so sweet! But aren't you a magician? Why do you have scars if you could just whip up a barrier?" Hecate rolled her eyes at the memory of her father forbidding her from using magic.
"I wasn't allowed to use magic, I used my baby for it, isn't she beautiful?" She one of her black rings turned into an axe, which hit the ceiling even when Hecate held it slightly slanted.
Its blade was heart shaped, with a heart shaped pink gem in the middle, the other end was pointed and had a sphere to keep the axe's balance, the grip was wrapped in pink leather, and the black steel appeared close to Bridget's face.
"Oh gosh!" She jumped back, eventually coming closer to the blade when Hecate placed it over her lap.
"It's really pretty, what's its name?" Hecate hesitated to answer, this was going to get so embarrassing for her, why did she have to ask that?
"Princess of hearts." She was screwed, Bridget was going to realise who she was and what the axe was named after and then she'll be slowly torturously teased to death.
"What an amazing name for such an amazing weapon!" STUPID
"Mh. Of course, I named it, anything I do is amazing."
-
"Oh Hecate! How wonderful to see you again!" The queen of hearts smiled at the girl, her red hair a sharp contrast to her husband's white.
"It's wonderful to meet you again my queen." Hecate bowed down to her queen and the king's consort, Bridget staring at her with wide eyes.
"You know my mom?!"
"Bridget, don't be absurd, of course I know her, you've been friends since you were born.... Don't tell me you don't recognise her?" Bridget shamefully looked away, Hecate got up during this time.
"Oh Bridget, my sweet girl, how naive you can be." The queen sighed, holding her daughter's hands.
"She's really Hecate?"
"I'm standing right here...?"
"You ghosted me!"
"My dad didn't send my letters!"

Steven Universe x Mom!reader (platonic)
Tumblr media
It was just so frustrating! Everything was always dumped onto him, the trauma, the unbearable and out of control emotions seemed to be eating him up from the inside- almost like he was drowning and no one was there to fully understand and help him. It seemed as though no matter how hard he tried to reach out no one knew how to help. Being dumped with so much trauma at a young age took a really bad toll on his body and mind. He just really wanted to clear his head at this point- since Connie was busy with her studies, his dad was busy and the gems were busy with other gems.
He should take a walk on the broadwalk or whatever, he could maybe get a bite to eat or see if anyone was around to chat or maybe hang out with him to just distract him and kill time. Maybe he could go to Funland and at least he could try to experience some sort of feeling.
Gosh! It just seemed SO- empty with no one he knew that was around anymore! It was so weird to see everyone grow apart and he- he was practically trying to rip his hair out of his scalp.
" Hey! (Child name 1) do not hit your brother! "
That's when he heard someone's voice yelling at something and he couldn't help but look up to see you. You were seated on one of the benches looking towards the ocean, your sun hat protecting you from the heat while your sunglasses rested on top of the hat/you had your glasses on your face. You seemed to have a magazine or book on your lap, too many bags to count on your side with one filled with toys and one filled with snacks and water bottles and juices.
Steven had never seen you around before in beach city ever before- you were probably a tourist or you had recently moved in. He couldn't help but wonder if his mother would have done the same, if she would have taken him to the beach with his dad and watch him play in the sand, would he have a younger brother or sister? Would things have been easier for him?
Just the thoughts swirling around in his mind made him flare in anger, his gem buzzed as his body contorted and he started glowing pink. He could feel his head pounding in his ears, it hurt -- why couldn't things just have turned differently? Why couldn't he just have something better?! Why couldn't everyone stay and why--
" Hey kid! "
Steven looked up, his eyes darting around until his eyes finally landed on you. You were waving at him, beckoning him to come over and to which he did. He couldn't help but be rather embarrassed- he didn't want his first impression to be you meeting him having a meltdown.
" You okay? You seemed to be pink- and I mean you are literally pink right now. "
You had pointed out, your body faced towards him.
" I have some headache pills, don't know if they'll work on people turning pink though. "
Steven looked at you laughing at your own joke and he couldn't help but smile a bit to try and ease the tension. The pink glow seemed to fade away as he relaxed, he could seriously use that pill though, his head was basically killing him.
" I wouldn't mind it- if you have one and if I'm not going to waste it y'know? "
He couldn't help but ramble on, he was just rather nervous as he basked in your motherly aura. It felt so nice he just couldn't help but panic.
He watched you pull out your hand bag/back pack (idk) as you fished out that tinfoil pill holder thing?? Y'know and popped two out, - you held your hand out and he took it slowly, almost like he was scared of touching you.
" I don't bite, it's okay. Would you like water or juice with that? "
" Water will be fine, thank you.. "
Steven took the water bottle from you and he popped the medicine in his mouth and drank that water up.
" It's (y/n), nice to meet you Steven Universe. "
" You know my name? "
Steven couldn't help but stare at you in some sort of shock and confusion.
" Yeah I did my research before coming here, I heard all about you and there was some strange blog called "Keep Beach City weird" it was a real good read. "
So you were just a tourist, maybe you were on holiday or something and just chose Beach City at the worst possible time ever.
" So, where do you come from? "
He couldn't help but ask, he just seemed so intrigued with you. You went out of your way to help him.
" Oh I'm from state/overseas country, just out for a holiday. Needed to get away from the same routine and get out, showing the kids other places. "
You told him more about where you came from, he relaxed at the sound of your voice and the way you explained things with your hands to add more to your stories.
" Hey- sorry Steven-- (child name 2) stop chasing your older sister with the dead crab, do not make me come over there! "
You shouted at your kids and you were correct, it seemed the younger brother was chasing around their older sibling with what seemed like a dead crab, causing them to cry and squeal for them to stop.
" Sorry Steven, kids are a lot and they always have to get on each other's nerves. "
You replied and Steven just laughed nervously, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness when he saw the relationship between you and your kids.. What he would do to have just a moment like this with his mom to at least feel something like this.
" I know I shouldn't pry into anyone's business, but are you okay? "
Your voice snapped him out of his trance and he looked into your eyes.
" It's just-- really complicated at the moment. "
" You can always talk to me, I know nothing about your situation but it'll help to get it off your chest. It's not really good to bottle up your emotions. "
And that's when he just let everything out, he went on and on about every detail, every mission, every horrific thing and every good and bad memory and you listened to him.
He finished after finally catching you up on everything and he felt you holding his hand, he looked up into your eyes once more and he just froze.
" Listen Steven, Im sorry about what happened and no child should have gone through that. You've always been helping other people and putting yourself at risk but- when was the last time you did something for you-- yourself? Why don't you maybe just get away from everything and clear your head a bit? That's why we're here in the first place. "
Steven couldn't help but nod at your words, he had no words as your thumb stroked the top of his hand in a comforting way.
" Have you ever been to a therapist or someone you can talk to? I'd definitely recommend seeing someone to at least get a lot of things off your chest and they can maybe help with some coping skills for you, I know a few how could help. "
It felt like a rush of regret, maybe telling you wasn't the best idea- the thought of seeing a doctor again sort of terrified him after what happened with Connie's mom.
" You don't have to if you don't want to--! "
Steven watched you blurt out, you were really good at reading him but he just stayed silent and watched the waves crash against the sand, your kids building lopsided sandcastles and digging holes.
It was strange.
You let go of his hand and whisked out your phone, scrolling away until you turned to him.
" I'll be one call away if you ever need help with anything. "
Steven entered his number and watched as you smiled, it was strange how you two easily got along.
" I should probably get going. It was nice to meet you (y/n) and I'll definitely think about that call, alright? "
Steven laughed nervously and stood up, holding his hand out for a handshake but you pulled him into a quick embrace and sent him off.
Steven continued his walk, walking around town replaying that whole interaction over and over again. It was awfully strange to him that a complete stranger wanted to help him out that much, was he also like that when he was younger?
It was nice though.

Yn/3rd person pov
Coming into contact with the navi was a struggle especially when the tried attacking our ships with their ikrans but when we didn't engage back they stopped.
We landed on what they call the hallelujah mountains a place where the humans couldn't track our movements I stood infront of the bay door with obi and anakin by my side.
"Just remember young yn they haven't seen another species other then humans so don't be alarmed if their surprised" obi said laying a comforting hand on my shoulder.
I've had bad experiences in the past about people hating my kind but it won't be like that i can feel it "I think you'll have to worry about big nose here" I giggled jabbing anakin in the side causing him to growl and swot my hands away.
"What's with you and my nose" he huffed glaring jokingly at me "it's just so big I can see it from planets away" I snorted covering my mouth as I laughed before jerking back to normal as the doors opened.
"We well be speaking to Toruk Makto the leader of the tribe be respectful and I'm looking at you anakin" obi said before walking out with anakin whining behind I took a few minutes to breathe before stepping out into the light.
It took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust but when they did they widened 'dam they are tall' I caught most of them staring at me but no bad reactions my eyes glazed over each one till they met the leaders the one obi wan was talking about.
His eyes held curiosity in them as he looked over me "we are sorry we didn't know you weren't the sky people" he said as he turned his gaze back to obi wan.
"You don't need to apologize we should have tried contacting you further before our arrival" obi smiled and continued talking further about the problem at hand, jake started introducing his to the people who were with him "and these are my sons neteyam and lo'ak" he put his hands on the two boys behind him.
Their eyes were stuck on me "what are you" the shorter one blurted earning a head slap from the taller one "don't be rude lo'ak" neteyam snapped before apologizing for lo'ak.
"Its fine it happens alot" I smiled before changing it back to the subject "no we can talk about these later how about you come with us to celebrate your arrival" jake grinned and we all agreed.
Their lead us over vine bridges to get to their camp and the views were amazing and as we walked jake got into some of the history of the planet and how it got into this situation.
We reached an opening to their camp and the first thing we heard was a loud scream "daddy" I smiled as a young girl ran and jumped into jakes arms and he happily picked her up "this is tuk my youngest" jake smiled.
Her eyes look at obi then at anakin then to me she raised a finger pointing at me it was silent for a second before she blurted out "your pretty" a light blush from embarrassment dusted on my cheeks.
"Thank you you are to" I smiled and watched as she jumped down from her dad's eyes and walked over to me and grabbed my hand quickly turning back to her Father "can she come play" she asked politely her father nodded slowly.
I quickly glanced at obi who nodded as well before I walked off with her "where we go" I asked curiously as we left the group "to see my sister so we can play" she beamed.
I glanced behind to notice his to sons following us "you never answered my question" lo'ak murmured getting an angry side look from his brother.
"I'm a togruta" I smiled and started telling them about my kind as we reached their hut "kiri I brought a new friend" tuk yelled and a young girl emerged from the hut her eyes widened as she caught sight of me.
"Oh hello" she forced a fake laugh she looked like she was confused and weirded out at the same time "she with the people who are helping us" neteyam explained.
She nodded "well welcome I'm kiri" she smiled "yn nice to meet you" I grinned neteyam and kiri urged us to sit by the fire, I sat near a log a bit further back from the fire and the group seemed to follow.
"May I please touch your hair" tuk asked shyly "you may but we call these lekku" I had fun teaching them about my species and they did they same.
I sat still as she began tracing her fingers along my lekku her siblings eyes also filled curiosity my eyes began skimming over the surroundings till they landed on jake watched us with a smile
'I'm gonna like it alot here'

The moon and the sun
Chapter Two: Breathe.
Tumblr media
"Why can't you do one simple thing right, hm?"
"I'm sorry, mother."
"Whatever. Go. Do it right this time, or at least try."
"Okay, I'm sorry."
☽-☼
You walked with him, the awkwardness in the air consuming you. You wished you could just leave.
“And that’s uh, my family’s marui pod.” You pointed and he nodded
You were now walking by the shore, staring at the sky
“Thanks for showing me around…I’m Neteyam, by the way” He spoke
“Nice to meet you, Neteyam. I’m y/n” You smiled, reaching out your hand, he smiled at the gesture and took your hand, shaking it
“Nice to meet you as well” He responded, and you continued walking, “So, why don’t you teach us your ways like your siblings?” He asked
Your smile faltered, not knowing what to say.
Oh sorry but it seems like my dad forgot that i exist and didn't really mention me to anyone so i don't really know?
Okay maybe not the best way to answer
“Oh uh, I don’t know. My dad thought two was enough, I guess” You answered, and he nodded
“Well, Tsireya and Ao’nung can teach Kiri and Lo’ak. How about you teach me? Just me.” He asked
You were quiet for a moment, “Why though? My brother and sister are excellent teachers. They’re the best at everything, I’m sure you’ll want to learn from the highly skilled.” You said
He furrowed his eyebrows, confused as to why you’d speak of them as if they were superior to you? As if they weren’t just your siblings?
“I'm sure you’re just as good as them, or maybe better! Besides, my siblings are a handful. I think they’ll have enough trouble dealing with them.” Neteyam said
Why do you want me? I’m not as good as them, you thought to yourself
“Okay, I’ll teach you. But I may not be a good teacher” You warned
“We’ll see” He chuckled, you looked to him and chuckled as well
☽-☼
The next day you had breakfast with your family and got ready to leave
"Hold on" Ronal said, you stopped and turned to her, "Where are you going, child?"
"I'm going with my siblings to teach the Sully kids." You said
"Oh" She said, the sudden reminder that her husband didn't really mention you to them crossed her mind, ''Be careful" She lightly smiled
"Okay, bye mom" You said as you walked out
Tonowari walked in a couple of moments after, seeing Ronal's sullen expression
"Is everything alright, dear?" He asked, concern showing on his face
She was quiet for a moment, till she nodded
☽-☼
You swam in the water, observing Neteyam. How he goes to get air every couple of seconds, how he's slow in the water, how he just seems lost
You swam up to the surface, giggling at how he was so out of breath
He looked at you, wiping his face, "What, what is funny?" He asked
"You just seem so helpless" You said, giggling, you suddenly stopped, realizing it might have been a not so nice thing to say, "I'm sorry" You were quick to apologize, he smiled and lightly chuckled
"No no, it's fine. That's because I am" He responded and you smiled
"Come, let me help you" You sat, grabbing his arm and leading him back to the land since you had gone so far
You two sat down, crossing your legs
"First, let's fix the breathing. You keep swimming back up to get air"
"How do I hold my breath for longer like you?" He asked
"I will help. We will do a breathing exercise, it helped me when I was young" You sat and he nodded, "Now, take a deep breath." You said, doing the same, you looked at him for a moment and grabbed his arm
"Breath from here" You said, placing his hand on his lower stomach, "Do it with me, let your heartbeat be slow and steady" You softly said, taking a deep breath for him, you removed his hand and placed yours instead, "Let's do it one more time" you spoke, looking into his eyes and taking a deep breath, his eyes met yours and he froze
"Your heartbeat is fast, you need to be calmer" You noted
"Sorry" He quickly said, looking away and doing it again
"Better" You smiled, and he smiled back, you looked at the water to see your siblings showing the others the Ilu, "Come, let's move on to something else. We will have to do this exercise again, but for now, let me show you something" You said, you both headed to where the others were
"There you were, bro! I thought you disappeared, why didn't you take lessons?" Lo'ak said as he saw you two walking by
"I was" He said
Tsireya and Ao'nung looked to you, confused to see you there
"She was teaching me" Neteyam said, the others nodded while your siblings just looked at each other and moved on
You saw them and wanted the world to swallow you whole.

Tumblr media
Chapter 23
The plane touched down in Eugene just after midnight.  It was too late to rent a car, so Melody’s brother came to pick them up.  Because they were landing at a private hangar, he could drive onto the tarmac to meet them.  It was funny to come down from a private jet to be met by an early 2000s Dodge pickup.
Melody and Steve approached her brother as the crew loaded the bags into the pickup.  She worried things might be weird between them.  The fight had never been with her brother, but they hadn’t spoken much outside of Facebook and Instagram since she’d moved out.  She’d always worried that he’d taken their side in all of this.
Instead, he came straight to her, pulling her into a tight hug.  “Oh my god, it's so good to see you!”
She hugged him back, relaxing into his embrace.  “You too.  I missed you.  Thank you for coming to get us.”
“Of course, I wouldn't leave you stranded,” he said.
You pulled away and gestured to Steve.  “River, this is Steve.  Steve, River.”
Steve stepped forward and offered River his hand.  “Pleasure to meet you,” he said.
River was tall enough to look Steve in the eye but he was lankier and more wirey than her boyfriend.  He was wearing his hair in twists and had a goatee.  He also had some new ink that Melody had never seen before.  She wondered how her parents had reacted to that.  He took Steve’s hand and shook it.  “It’s all mine, Cap,” he said.
Steve chuckled and shook his head. “Steve is fine.”
“Come on you two,” Melody said. “I don’t want to freeze my ass off on the tarmac.”
For Steve’s sake, Melody climbed into the back seat and he got into the front passenger beside River.  She stretched out in the back seat and rested her head against the window, wishing there was a pillow she could use.  It had been such a long day and she just wanted to pass out.  She closed her eyes anyway, listening to the engine and Steve and River’s conversation in the front as she rested in the back.
“How far are we going?” Steve asked.
“It’ll be just under an hour.  We’re a bit out.  Not too bad though,” River replied.  “Mom and Dad will be asleep when we get in.  So you won’t get to meet them until tomorrow.”
“That’s fine,” he said. “Meeting your girlfriend’s parents is hard enough without having to do it in the middle of the night.”
“That’s true,” he said.  “But they’re excited to meet you.  And to see Mel.  It’s been a while.”
“Melody and River are very unique names,” Steve said.
River laughed.  “They’re not too bad, thankfully.  But yeah - I think Mom and Dad enjoyed the 60s quite a lot.”
“There was a huge free love movement in the 60s,” Melody piped up from the back.  “Lots of people fighting authority and authoritarian rule.  One of the side effects was people giving their kids names that felt like they were connected to the Earth mother.”
Steve chuckled. “Right.  I guess that makes sense.  Though it seems extra confusing with the whole…”
He trailed off.  Melody knew how that sentence ended.  With the whole incident where they wouldn’t allow their trans niece to move in with them after her parents rejected them.
“Yeah,” River said, his voice dropping a half-octave.  “No one can quite work that one out.”
There was a heavy pause in the air and after a little while it seemed to get a little uncomfortable for Steve.  “So what do you do, River?” he asked.
Melody dozed as she listened to their small talk in the front.  River’s new internship at the Portland Art Museum.  What it was like to wake up in the twentieth century.  At one point River just spoke about how overrated Voodoo Donuts was for ten minutes and then ended with saying he’d drive out there and get some so that Steve could see for himself.
She sat up when the tires began to crunch on gravel.  She blinked and stretched.  The porch light was on but otherwise, the whole place was dark.  The shape of the peaked roofs was just visible in the gloom.  Looking at it in the dark made her stomach twist into knots.  This week had been so terrible with work and his fans and now she was back at her childhood home.  A place she hadn’t returned to in almost a decade after a fight that had left her homeless for over a month.
“You’re really far out, huh?” Steve said as River pulled into the garage.
“Oh, yeah,” River said.  “Dad had this dream to build a house in the country.  This is it.”
“There’s animals,” Melody said. “I’ll show you around tomorrow.”
They grabbed their bags and went inside.  A light was on in the hall, but otherwise, the house was completely dark. Two white German Shepherds greeted them, Melody had only seen them in pictures and she crouched down and held her hands out to try and introduce herself to the dogs.  When River patted and told them they were good dogs, they relaxed and came to investigate Melody and Steve.  “I’m gonna head to bed,” River whispered.  “I’ll see you in the morning.  Nice to meet you again, Steve.”
“You too.  Sleep well,” Steve replied.
“Night, Riv,” Melody whispered.
When Melody eventually pulled herself away from the dogs, she led him down the hall to her old childhood room.  It was just as she’d left it.  Her bookshelf was filled with so many books they were two deep in places, and a collection of stuffed animals sat on top.  Her desk had a stack of papers on it and several novelty pens in a mug with a carebear on it.  Her old desktop computer and printer were still there too.  She’d taken her comforters with her when she’d moved out, so the bed had been made up with some new bedding she didn’t recognize.  She was grateful that she’d upgraded to a full bed when she was in high school because even a full was going to be a squeeze with Steve.  If she’d had a twin bed, someone would be sleeping on the floor.
Steve was completely fascinated by her room.  He walked around it slowly, picking things up and turning them over.  “I can’t believe I’m in your childhood room.
“Different from yours I bet,” she said.
He nodded.  “Very.  I did have a lot of books too.  But I used to stick my art to the walls.”
“Well, next best thing,” she said and pulled open the top drawer on her desk.  Inside were stacks and stacks of notebooks, all filled with her writing.  Poems.  Short stories.  Novels both finished and unfinished.  Screenplays.  Fanfiction.  Thousands of words of erotica, written before she had a real understanding of sex, and full of misguided tropes and physical impossibilities.
Steve pulled the one at the top out and flicked through the pages. “This is all your writing?” he asked.
“It sure is,” she said as she started to get undressed.
“Can I read some of it?”
She scrunched her nose. “It was all written before I left the house, which was a few months before I went to college.  So it’s pretty cringey.  And also probably very bad.”
He shrugged.  “I know, but I’d still like to.  Not all of it.  But I’d just like to see.”
“Okay,” she said.  But not now.  Let me find some that aren’t terribly embarrassing.”
He chuckled and came over to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and drawing her in.  “How are you doing?”
She shrugged a little.  “I feel a little sick if I’m honest,” she said. “Like my stomach is eating itself.  I’m so worried about tomorrow.  I don’t know if I should try and just pretend nothing happened so we can get through Thanksgiving and you’ll have met them and I’ll go back to New York and nothing will have changed, only we’ll tentatively be back in each other’s lives in some superficial way.  Or if I should confront them and try and get past this because they really hurt me and if they still feel like what they did was the right thing, I don’t want them in my life.”
He wrapped his arms around her so that one hand was pressed to her cheek and the other was on her hip, and he pulled her in tight, resting his chin on the top of her head.  “Whatever you want to do, I’ll support you.  I hope you know that.  If you want to start the day with a big cathartic confrontation and it doesn’t go the way you’ve planned, we can fly back to New York and have Thanksgiving with our friends.  If you just want to play nice and get through it without any arguments, I’ll smile and make small talk and you can vent to me anytime we’re alone and I’ll nod along and sympathize.  I’m here for you, Mel.”
He pulled back and looked down at her.  “And I get it all.  I grew up in a home of abuse.  I behaved just to get along sometimes.  And I made waves when I thought that was needed too.  I know how tricky family can be to navigate.”
She got up onto her tiptoes and pecked Steve’s lips.  “I love you so much, Steve Rogers.”
“I love you too, Melody Danes,” he said.
He snuggled into his chest again, just listening to his heartbeat and letting it soothe her.  He held her not rushing her along, not trying to make it anything.  He just held her and he didn’t let her go until she was pulled back from him.  “We should really get ready for bed.  It has to be creeping towards two.”
“Good idea.  Where’s the bathroom?” he asked.
She pointed him across the hall and while he washed up, she changed into her pajamas and put her hair into a bonnet.  When Steve came out they traded places, and by the time she crawled into bed, she felt a little less nauseated but exhausted down to her bones.
“You’re probably going to wake up before I do,” she said, as she maneuvered herself so that she was tucked in close to Steve, with her head in the crook of his arm.
“I know,” he said.  “I usually am.”
“You can wake me up if you need to.  You shouldn’t have to meet my parents by yourself.”
He hummed and pressed his lips to her forehead. “I’ll see how I go tomorrow,” he said.  “Don’t worry about me, sweetheart.  Just get some sleep.”
She leaned up and pecked his lips.  “How did I get so lucky?”
“I’ve been asking myself that since you agreed to go out with me,” he replied.  “Night, Mel.”
“Night, Steve,” she whispered.  She closed her eyes, and despite how much stress she was still holding on to, or maybe because of it, she was asleep almost immediately.

It confuses me that ppl in the hotd fandom say that Laenor loved Jace Luke and Joffrey. Did he tho? cuz... he was out drinking with his buddies and there was only one scene where he was actually being a dad to them. Fr, the only time he stepped in as a dad was when he named Joffrey and that was it.
I think it's a little more nuanced than that, Anon. But if I'm being entirely honest, (if a bit controversial) those children were not his obligation yet when he tried to step in, Rhaenyra kept him at arm's length until it was convenient to her.
Episode 6:
"You don't think to consult me before you name my child?" "He's our child, is he not?" "Only one of us is bleeding." "I deserve some say in the affairs of my own family." "You haven't seemed so interest in our affairs of late."
"I deserve some say in the affairs of my own family."
I find this interesting in particular. Upon a rewatch, I paid attention to Laenor's facial expressions and his tone of voice. Now it could be me, it could be a misinterpretation, but he seemed a bit exasperated if not desperate, almost pleading with Rhaenyra. Given that 10 years has been glossed over, we were robbed of seeing their actual dynamic. But what I can see is that he is attempting to assert his place as her husband, and Rhaenyra just waved him off with the following line of dialogue.
Keep in mind his facial expression deflating after she wanders out of frame. I genuinely do think that he was trying, but again, she kept him at arm's length. And of course this sets up later in the episode when he returns to Rhaenyra's room a bit drunk with Ser Qarl.
Notice how he seems more happy to go back to war?
"After all this time, this is just what I need. A little adventure. A good honest battle to enliven my blood again... A few months maybe - to be back at sea."
I don't know about you, but no man that has been in a happy marriage (hell, even a man who has a close bond with his supposed kids) would want to return to a fucking war unless he has no other choice. The way he says "to be back at sea," was almost in yearning.
At that point, he was more than happy to leave King's Landing because Rhaenyra made it abundantly clear that he's of no use to her.
And she continues to make snide remarks with regards to Ser Harwin's little outburst that brought even more negative attention to their family.
"Are you mad? Do you know what's happened while you've been guzzling all the ale in Flea Bottom - gods know what besides?"
If you watch his expression, it can be read as "What are you talking about," or it can be read as "Excuse me?" Pick your poison. (I don't know about you, but I read that as a homophobic microaggression.)
Now moving on to my point above.
"Dark rumours are hunting us, Laenor. They nip at our heels. Questions about our sons' parentage. Vile, disgusting insinuations." "Insinuations, are they?" "They are our sons! Yours and mine. And their true father will not abandon them now to go carousing through the Narrow Sea waggling his sword, and winking at his sailors."
Notice how she finally flips it around? Now, those boys are suddenly Laenor's responsibility. And as you can see with his sarcastic reply, he has no mind to listen to it. And I don't have to point out the second microaggression against his homosexuality.
Now Laenor says this, with conviction.
"I am a knight and a warrior. And I have played my part here. Faithfully, for ten years."
Which really drives home the point that he was trying to be a dutiful husband. He was trying to be a dutiful father. But then, Rhaenyra throws his efforts back into his face.
"You are owed nothing! For ten years you have indulged yourself at court, bought the finest horses, drunk the rarest of wines, fucked the lustiest boys. This was our agreement. I have not begrudged you."
Except she just did. Four times. in the literally same episode. Laenor did what any lord living at court would have done even if they weren't in the clusterfuck situation that he was sucked into.
Now, Laenor is completely done, and it's obvious that he wants no part in it.
"You do not desert your post when the storm lashes." "The wise sailor flees the storm as it gathers." "Very well, then I command you... as your Princess and heir to the throne, you are commanded to remain in King's Landing and at my side."
I'm certain that he was well aware of the rumours swimming about regarding Rhaenyra's actions and of course, I genuinely think he did his best to cover for both himself AND her after the first two Strong kids were born - otherwise he wouldn't be looking for an out in this specific scene. He probably would have left long ago.
TL;DR. I think Laenor did care about those kids, but Rhaenyra alienated him from actually being in their lives until shit hit the fan for her.

Praying
This is definitely going to give off 2014 Wattpad vibes but sue me I guess.
Basically, Emily finds out you can sing during a random karaoke night with the team.
Tumblr media
After the case you just had, hearing Morgan say, "Drinks when we land?" was music to your ears. You needed a whiskey as soon as possible to wash down the bad taste in your mouth. This case was full of bad fathers who spent years ignoring their mistakes. It made you sick and felt too close to home. Your own dad treated you awful your entire life just to act like nothing ever happened when you were an adult.
As soon as the plane landed you were en route to the bar, Rossi and Hotch being the designated drivers. In your work clothes still, you all filled into a booth at the bar closest to the BAU. Your blazer is long discarded into your go bag, sleeves rolled up on your button-up. Emily could sense your anger from a mile away, holding your hand under the table to let you know she knew. Emily knew about your relationship with your parents and from the second the case was presented it would mess with your head.
Penelope slid into the booth beside you as she met you guys there, "Guys, it's karaoke night!" She beamed with excitement as she filled out the slip to get in line. "Hey, Pen hand me one." You smiled at the blonde as her mouth hung open, "Y/n! You've never sung in front of us before!" She handed you a slip and a pink pen from her purse. Emily looked at you confused. You jotted your name down and song choice, "I can take both of ours up there Penny."
As Penny finished absolutely rocking a Brittany song, you heard your name be called to sing. A knot formed in your stomach knowing the reaction that was to come from your performance but, singing always helped you cope so it was worth it, you hoped. Praying by Kesha started playing and the entire team immediately turned towards you. Penny smiling so big at you, phone out to record, Morgan staring at you with concern, and Emily. Your sweet Emily had moved to sit directly in front of the stage. She smiled at you sweetly as you started.
Well, you almost had me fooled Told me that I was nothing without you Oh, but after everything you've done I can thank you for how strong I have become
Tears welled in your eyes as your anger brew. Everyone in the bar was gone in your mind and, all that you saw was your dad. Screaming at you the day of your graduation, "You are never going to amount to anything."
'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell I had to learn how to fight for myself And we both know all the truth I could tell I'll just say this is "I wish you farewell"
JJ's mouth was wide open in awe. She knew you had theatre background but your voice was unexpected. Garcia reached over and grabbed Morgans's hand knowing the words were hitting him too.
I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin' I hope your soul is changin', changin' I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees, prayin'
At this point hot, angry tears were rolling down your cheeks, Emily's too. Emily with childhood trauma of her own, knew that yours was totally different and could not imagine treating a kid that way.
I'm proud of who I am No more monsters, I can breathe again And you said that I was done Well, you were wrong and now the best is yet to come 'Cause I can make it on my own, oh And I don't need you, I found a strength I've never known I'll bring thunder, I'll bring rain, oh When I'm finished, they won't even know your name
Your anger was peaking as you hit the note at the end of the bridge, not caring about the accuracy of the notes. It was never to sound good, or have a healthy belt but to get some sort of release. The voice of your dad ringing in your ears, "Again Y/N, hit the note. Now." The karaoke version skips part of the song sending you into overdrive to prep for the whistle note.
Ah sometimes, I pray for you at night, oh Someday, maybe you'll see the light Whoa oh, some say, in life, you're gonna get what you give
You felt your hands shaking with anger as you grabbed the mic, pulling it off the stand and taking in a deep breath. You wanted to hit this note so loud he could hear it back home. Remembering how he never saw any of your shows, it took you over the edge.
But some things only God can forgive
You hit the note perfectly, holding it as long as your lungs would allow you. A deep burning in your chest cut you off and you finally opened your eyes, making eye contact with Spencer from across the bar. His eyes were full of tears. The show of emotion from the regularly held-together genius made you cry harder,
Yeah! (I hope you're somewhere prayin', prayin') I hope your soul is changin', changin' I hope you find your peace Falling on your knees, prayin'
The last line came out as a whisper and you put the mic back in the stand. Stepping off the stage, Emily wrapped her arms around you. She pulled your face into her chest to shield you from the crowd as you cried. People cheered, clapped, and some even awed. You let it all out on her chest, your shaky arms barely holding her back. Emily rubbed your head and whispered sweet nothings into your ear, "Let it all our sweet girl." After you finished crying, she wiped the tears off your face, blowing slightly to help your face dry. "You ready to go sit down and drink your whiskey?" You nodded and smiled at her, grateful for the woman you got.
Garcia was fast to stand up and engulf you in a hug, her phone still recording on the table, "Pen! You filmed me?" She smiled and wiped a tear away, "Well I tried but I got too emotional." Derek had a smug look on his face. You slid back into the booth now sandwiched between him and Emily. You took a swig from your glass letting the burning cold liquid soothe your now, sore throat. "What Morgan?" He chuckled and held his beer up to you, "I knew you had a secret talent Y/N, you were too boring." You scoffed at him as everyone laughed. Emily grabbed your hand and kissed the back of it, "Seriously honey, you have a wonderful voice." You smiled at her, nothing but love in your gaze.
Hotch finally spoke up, "We love you YN, you know that right?" He had a slight smile toying on his lips. You looked at him, "I do. You and Rossi have become the parts of a father I never got and I cannot thank you for it enough." He finally smiled fully and Rossi patted your back. Penelope finally broke the serious undertones of the conversation, "So Y/N I want to hear all about your past roles, right now." Side conversations started as you told Pen about every role, every show, and every mishap of rehearsals. Emily just stared at you, so glad you finally were sharing this side of you, even if it wasn't intentional.

Pairing: Lo’ak/Neteyam x Omatikaya Reader
Summary: It was just like any other day for you, hanging out with Lo'ak and Kiri and shooting archery with Neteyam, but when the sky people arrived, they destroyed everything you had, which changed you.
Theme: Angst, war, tragedy, jealousy.
Word count: 3475
Warning: Expect some English errors, as English is not my first language.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Back story.
Because of their differences, Lo'ak and Kiri were labeled as freaks and outcasts. Unlike a normal Na'vi, they have five fingers, and because of this, The two are always alone, but that soon changes when this new Na’vi girl arrives.
Lo’ak thought that you only talk to him because you were asked to, but as time pass by between you and him. He came to realize that you are not a phony friend. Kiri also felt the same and if someone ask both their parents to who their close to.
Their answer is already obvious.
"I hate you!"
"I hate you times infinity, Lo’ak. Penis face!"
"Hey!" Jake interferes as the fight is getting out of hand, stopping Lo’ak with his scream before it continues.
"That’s enough! Don’t make me come over there."
"Lo’ak! Kiri!"
Hearing that familiar voice, Jake didn’t have to see who it was, and he was grateful that you arrived in time.
"Y/N! Tell Lo’ak to let go of the toy!"
"No. Tell her to let go."
As they keep tugging on the toy and pointing at each other, waiting for you to choose. You glanced at Mr. Sully, who gave you a defeated sigh. "Y/N, would you please?" Jake asked for help.
Nodding at him, you jogged toward the two Na’vi and swiftly took the toy out of their grasp.
"Y/N?" They both look at you with surprise and confusion.
"You two are fighting because of this? I have plenty of this at home; come on!" You gestured with your hand, wanting for them to follow you, and as you began sprinting away,
Lo’ak and Kiri look at their father first before joining you.
Jake only waved his hand, agreeing that they could follow you, and once his children ran to where you were, he let out a long, exhausted sigh.
"My Jake, where are the kids?" Neytiri who was now walking toward him, hands resting on his shoulder.
"She gave me another time, again."
Neytiri, hearing Jake's answer, already knew what he meant by that, and she couldn’t help but chuckle, "No, my Jake. She gave us some time"
Jake's ears can’t help but flinch when he hears his mate, and once his eyes land on hers and on her lips, he just wants to kiss her, but... as soon as the two are close to each other, their son Neteyman pops out, ruining the moment.
"Dad, where are Kiri and Lo’ak?"
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
As a month turn into a year your closeness with Kiri and Lo’ak grew larger to the point that whenever they are you will always be there.
But will it be forever?
"Hey Mr. Sully, hi neteyam, good aim." You praised them, walking toward the two Na’vi who were arrowing some fish. "Did Kiri or Lo’ak pass by?"
"No, why?" Jake ask.
"We’re playing hide and seek, and I’ve been looking for hours now."
"Did you check the house? They always hide there or at Mo’at?" Jake began to worry. and after you said it. Jake immediately walks away, leaving you with Neteyam.
You nodded, worry now plastered on your face. "I did, but they weren't there."
"Don’t worry; maybe they just fell asleep somewhere. Now you two wait here, and while waiting, why don’t you catch some fish? "Whoever gets more is the winner." Jake excused himself.
While Jake ran home, calling his mate to alarm her as well. Here you are with Neteyam doing what Jake told you two.
"Your good at this, when did you learn to archer?" Neteyam asks.
"My father trained me, like you. But he got busier and didn't have time to archer." you paused first, positioning to shoot the fish  "But it’s okay, I like to play with Kiri and Lo’ak more" as you let go of the string the arrow flew on the fish head.
Neteyam, seeing what you just did, didn’t hide his amusement "Wow, that's a bullseye!" and as you pick up the arrow, handing him the fish he looks at you confuse.
"I don’t care who wins; as long as I’m with Kiri and Lo'ak, that’s a win for me."
At that point, Neteyam still didn’t understand what you meant, but as he grew up and so did his siblings, he began to understand what you meant.
Instead of taking the fish, he handed it back to you, which confused you: "You have it; as a replacement, why don’t we train each other?"
You simply smile.
Not only have you become close with Kiri and Lo'ak, but you also got close with Neteyam, and the spot where you shot the arrow has become your training ground, thanks to your father as well for allowing you to train with Neteyam.
You were also thankful to Mr. Sully for letting you join.
The next few weeks after the incident of not finding Kiri and Lo'ak, who were indeed sleeping when Jake and Neytiri found them, becoming friends with Neteyam, and training to be archers again
Here you are now, still a kid inside Sully’s home, watching Neteyam get his height checked.
"How tall is he?" Lo’ak asks
"He’s that tall," Jake said after carving at the bamboo and showing it to Lo’ak, you, and Kiri with spider on the side, who only chuckled once you saw the height of Neteyam.
You were about to call Lo’ak and Kiri to play outside when Mr. Sully called you, "Why don’t you give it a try?"
"I think I’m the same height as Kiri." You mumbled, scratching you nape not wanting for Mr. Sully to check yours, embarrassed once they found that you’re almost the same height as Neteyam.
"You don’t have to be embarrassed, come on."
Again, you refuse, but Kiri and Lo’ak nag you to let their father check yours: "Come on, Y/N, we will finally know how tall you are." Lo’ak nags, followed by Kiri whining for you to agree.
In the end, you found your real height, and you happily announced that you do have Kiri’s height.
If the Sully children grew fast, it's the same for you; so does time. And in the blink of an eye you grew taller and aged up. With that length of time, many things had happen. Even your eight fingers in total can’t count how many times Lo’ak got into trouble.
Kiri, being Kiri, is always inviting you to explore the jungle. getting good at archery at the same time as beating Neteyam at shooting a sturmbeest and making a clean kill. Despite the fact that it is the same as his, you went first.
Success in getting an Ikran on your first try
Then there are Tuk and Spider. You're close with Tuk like her other siblings, but with Spider, it was just a minimum. Because Spider is the person who sometimes gets Lo’ak in trouble, and you don’t like that even a bit.
Of course you didn't forget about your status; you are also the best huntress at that young age, being so close to Sully's family to the point that you could just walk onto their property like you lived there and being a babysitter to all of them.
That Mr. and Mrs. Sully entrusted it to you, and you don't mind, well, sometimes when things are giving you headaches.
"Don’t worry, Ms. and Mr. Sully, I will tell you as soon as things get out of hand." You smiled reassuring them that you got it all control as they’re going on their anniversary day.
"Thank you always, Y/N" Neytiri thanked you, giving you a gentle pat on the head, and as soon as she turned to look at her mate, she only gave a signal eye that she was ready.
Jake gave you a thank-you nod, and the two began to fly away on their Ikran.
"You know, you don’t have to always agree with them, and we're old enough."
"Says who?" You smile, rolling your eyes, as you walk away from Neteyam, making your way to Lo’ak and Tuk.
"Yeah, we’re old enough. except for Tuk." Lo’ak chuckled, pointing at Tuk, who only stuck her tongue out.
Kiri, on the other side, even if it hurt her pride a little bit, got to agree to what Lo’ak and Neteyam said. "I hate to admit it, but they're right. You can’t always be like this."
"Like what? It's not that bad."
"Perhaps, but... don’t you want to do what you like?"
"What?"
"Like, don’t you have a hobby that you do just for you?" Lo'ak asks giving you a side question glance.
Now that Lo'ak mentioned it, all the activities that you keep doing are always with them or with their parents when hunting. However, you cannot think of a single activity or hobby that solely acquires you.
You simply shrugged your shoulders. "Maybe there isn’t, and why are we talking about this? It’s not like you guys are going away."
"That’s true. But you still need your time alone; don’t worry, when dad and mom get back, I’ll tell them." Neteyam said.
To which you chuckled, "If that’s what you guys want, or… you guys don’t want me here anymore?" You thought making some Joke will bring them to laugh but seeing their silents look.
"I’m joking! That’s a joke."
"Y/N, we never thought that way; you're like our family now." Tuk started
"Yeah, if you're going to make a joke, ask Lo'ak; he's got a lot of them." Kiri chuckled as she said this, pointing at him.
Lo’ak rolled his eyes, but soon he made a joke that made you all cringe.
"I think my soul left my body when you made that joke." Laughing as you said, which got you a playful smack on the head and once you saw who did it.
You displayed a smirk and said, "Game on, Skxawng!" and so you simply did a rough house play, jumping on top of him and twirling him away from you.
And when he's about to launch at you, and being prepared to catch him. only to not catch him when Mr. and Ms. Sully come in the house. as you immediately stood straight, only giving Lo'ak a sideways apology glance.
"Y/N, we can take it from here; you can go home now." Jake said, and before you asked some questions about what was wrong, Neytiri only gave you a sidelong glance.
"Good night Mr. Ms sully, see you guys tomorrow." You bid farewell, walking out the house but of course you didn’t fully went home and instead you sneak behind their house wanting to see what got their face frighten.
‘The sky people are back?’ You thought frighten of the discovery soon anger displayed on your face, because of them the once peaceful place was soon replace by their air crafts.
Destroying your homeland, running away before the fire get to you, and in the process of running away going to safety, you lost a love one who sacrifice himself to save you.
A father that you can no longer see another smile from him, and even his own body is unrecognized, except for the beads that somehow didn’t get eaten by the fire.
You wanted to feel your father once more, but watching it crumble into your hand, you didn’t hide your howling as sadness and hurt are now eating you up.
As Ms. Sully gently tagged you, you didn't even give him a proper burial.
As you can’t stay longer as the sky people are getting nearer and because of this, your hatred toward the sky people grew larger. Not only that, but Sully’s children can only watch your eyes change.
The once-jovial, easy-going Y/N they knew who always made their day complete grew into a cold person who always went out to join their parents on their hunt for the sky people.
She still has that personality, but it rarely happens now.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Present (One year later)
The hunting for the train and destroying the railing was successfully fulfilled, as Jake and Neytiri took down the aerospatiale sa-2 samson with just an arrow and bullet.
With that, the ground team took their station to get the item from the destroyed train.
While up in the sky, three Na’vi mounting their Ikran are watching for an upcoming enemy as that was their given task. But one skxawng decided to join the ground team.
"Bro, Y/N, we have to get down there!"
"No way! Dad will skin us!" Neteyam defended.
Followed by you, who then flew next to him, shielding the ground for Lo’ak to not do what he was supposed to do. "Lo'ak, that is not our mission!" You shouted.
"Come on, don’t be a wuss!"
"Lo’ak!" You exclaimed shielding his Ikran but it simply pass trough you, you then glanced at Neteyam signaling to not follow Lo’ak but before you could stop him.
He's already following Lo’ak.
"You two! Get back- Ugh!" You exclaimed, following as well and landing next to their Ikran, telling them once again to get back to their Ikran.
But Lo'ak, being the skxawng he is, only ignored you. Neteyam, on the other hand, gave you a sidelong glance and said, "Do not worry; I will fetch him. Go back"
You clenched your teeth only to sigh when Neteyam assured you that he would handle it.
"Be careful, okay?" You said this while remounting your now-flying Ikran. And once you make it to the sky, your gut suddenly starts acting up, telling you something bad will happen.
You wanted to call them through the radio to go back now, but when you spotted an Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson, You immediately called Jake to notify him.
"9 o'clock, on the left. Incoming!" You yelled, flying away to safety as it fired a missile on the ground while dodging the bullet that was now aimed at you.
Although you dodge some of them, but, before the ground team fired the rocket launcher on the Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson, a bullet hit you on the side of your shoulder.
Even if it only dashed your skin, it still hurt, and seeing the blood start to flow, you lost control of your ikran as he too felt what you felt.
"Y/N!" Neytiri, seeing your Ikran go down with you in it, immediately flew toward you, but before she could grab you, your Ikran hit the tree, and with that force, it sent you flying.
Even though you were prepared to embrace the pain of slamming your side against a tree trunk, the pain was too much for you, and you gritted your teeth, letting out a painful sound. Embracing another impact as your now falling, but this time Neytiri caught you.
Neytiri had a scared look on her face when she saw your situation: your side was bruised because of the tree trunk, and your shoulder had a gush of bullet and blood still flowing from it.
And now, with your weak eyes staring at her, it made her panic more. "No, no! You need to stay strong! Don’t sleep."
"I-I won't, Ms. Sully; this is nothing." You tried to say it while grunting and reassuring her. smiling weakly as you said this.
AT THE OMATIKAYA STRONGHOLD HIGHLAND CAMP
Back at home, Tuk was simply playing with the toy, waiting for her parents and brothers, Y/N to come back, and when she heard the horn, she immediately ran home, announcing it to Kiri and Spider.
"Kiri, spider, the war party is coming back. Come on, come on!"
While the three sprint to where the war party is. Just outside two Ikran landed safely at the edge of the rock. followed by two more, of whom the other was guiding the stumbling Ikran and worried that the Na’vi girl would lose her consciousness.
Thankfully, she didn’t and landed safely next to Lo’ak.
"Mom, Mom!" Tuk, who sprints over to Neytiri, simply returns the hug, assuring her that she's still there, while gently pushing Tuk to the side.
Jogging to the stumbling girl as she got off her Ikran.
"What happen?" Lo'ak, who saw your horrible shape, had worry plastered on his face.
"This is nothing-" You tried to say, Only you didn’t get to continue as Neytiri hissed at you. "This is not nothing," she grumbled, gently tagging you to where Kiri is.
Who was now checking Neteyam, and when she spotted you, she immediately went to you and asked what happened.
Jake finally saw what you looked like; he didn’t hide his glaring look from his two sons, who only lowered their gaze at the same time they were eyeing you in an apology.
"Kiri, go help your grandma with the wounded. Take Y/N with you, please?"
"My brother is also wounded," Kiri tried to point out.
But Jake simply told her once more, telling her and Tuk to go take care of the other wounded with you in them. You and Neteyam tried to speak, but Jake simply brushed you away.
"Go!"
Nodding at him, you joined Kiri and Tuk, who were now helping you with your stumbling walk. And when you are far away, Jake begins his scolding.
"You’re supposed to be spotters; you spot bogies and you call them in from the distance! All I heard is Y/N Where are you two?! huh?" Jake then continued telling them their mistake and how they almost killed you in the process.
"What happen if Y/N didn’t make it-"
"Jake!" Neytiri interjected, urging him not to continue speaking as the memory flashed back to her, and Jake quickly apologized.
"Sir, I-i take full responsible. I told Y/N to go back- I-"
"No, you don't." Jake cut off Neteyam's words: "That’s right, because you’re the oldest. You gonna act like it! But no, it’s the other way around!"
"My Jake, your son, is also bleeding." Neytiri only looked at Jake.
"Mother Its-it’s fine…" Neteyam tried to say, but Jake already told him to patch up at the same time Jake told his mate to check you as you got more injury.
"Come on, dismiss."
Before Neytiri walk away with Neteyam on her side, she made a side glance with Lo’ak eyeing him to not cost anymore trouble.
"Do you understand that you almost got your brother and Y/N killed?"
"yes sir"
Jake eyed him for a minute, deciding what to punish him for: "You’re grounded; no flying for a month." continuing how he will confiscate his Ikran, followed by the word
"All of it!"
"Yes sir"
"Get that crap out of your face."
---
After getting patched up, get stitches from Mo’at. grunting in pain as she continues to rub the medicine on your wound spot. hissing at Neteyam, who was chuckling at your pain situation.
Only for you to return the laugh when it was his turn.
Lo'ak can't help but roll his eyes as he watches you two; what's more, 'Why is she always close to him?' in simply way, he moved you away telling you that there's more medicine left.
"There is!" you exclaimed, crossing your arms as you didn't want any more Mo'at medicine.
"Huh!" Neteyman mocked you when you were about to hiss at him Lo'ak made his way in front of you, taking the medicine from Kiri's hand, who simply rolled her eyes.
Making another one for Neteyam
"This stings less."
"What do you mean it sting les- Ow!" You exclaimed.
"Now you're just acting," Lo'ak joked, but he quickly shut up when you eyed him, and that eye look is something he still can't get used to.
Neteyam, who was watching your two interactions, went silent for a minute only to express his pain again as Mo'at pasted the medicine on his back.
"Soon, my boy. Wait patiently," Mo'at whispered. which confuses him. Tuk on the side only giggled.
Kiri, who was kneeling next to Mo'at, already knew why these two were acting so strangely. and as she gave you a glance, her thought was, 'She's too focused on the sky people that she didn't even notice these two Skxawng'
Just outside the house, Neytiri was walking back and forth with a worried expression on her face, and she cast a glance at Jake, who was simply upgrading his gun.
Jake, sensing his mate looking at him, simply asks, "what?" word. And when she told him that he was very hard on his two sons, Jake simply told her the truth about being the father; what's more, he got scared as he almost lost both of them.
"What about Y/N? she almost died."
"I know, she too…" Jake mumbled, and once he glanced back at Neytiri, whose fear was visible in her eyes.
"My Jake, As I keep looking at her, my mind goes to her almost dying self. I saw my sister in her eyes!" Neytiri expressed her fear by whispering this to Jake.
They won’t lie when they said that they choices you to be the tsahik that is a good candidate to Neteyam and even know it still there… added that you're now one of them, and when Jake saw his mate like this. He knows what to do.
"Don’t worry, she will be safe."

A New Journalist: A Hello Neighbor Fanfic
By JJ
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Trinity and Finch meet Quentin, and the journalist shares something with the kids.
Trinity walked home from school, her coin in her hand. She looked down at it, still worrying about what would happen to her if she lost this coin.
A hand on her shoulder startled her out of her thoughts.
"Hey!", she turned around to see Finch. What did she want?
"Hey, Finch...", said Trinity. "What do you want?"
"Nothing. I just wanted to talk, get to know you better and stuff. Nicky didn't come to school today, so I thought I'd walk and talk with you.", said the girl scout.
Trinity nodded.
Then something caught her eye. A light blue van parked in front of the Peterson house. And from somewhere through the backyard, a man in a green sweater and orange cap snuck to the front yard, and was about to get back into his van when Trinity called out to him.
"Hey you!"
The man jumped back from his car, and turned all around to see who called out to him. When his eyes landed on Trinity, he put a finger to his lips, signaling her to be quiet.
Trinity ran across the street to the man, and Finch followed close behind her.
"What were you doing in there?", asked Trinity.
"Private investigation business, kid.", said the man. He looked behind her at Finch, and he smiled and held out his hand.
"Finch!", he said. "It's so great to see you again!"
Finch extended her hand and shook his. "Same to you, Quentin.", Finch turned to look at Trinity, who was all kinds of confused. "Trin, this is Quentin Gershowitz. He's a friend of my dad's, and he works at the Press."
Quentin showed Trinity his tag, "Yep.", he said. "And I was assigned to investigate the whereabouts of Aaron and Mya Peterson. Apparently, Mr. Peterson was screaming "Where is he?!", and everyone assumed he was talking about his children, so I was sent to look for them."
"Well, have you had any luck?", asked Trinity.
Quentin shook his head. "Sadly, no."
The man turned to Finch, "Finch, I might need your help on this. You remember that camera I gave you, right?"
Both girl's eyes widened.
Finch smiled nervously, "Um...about that."
"Me and my friends kind of broke it."
Both Finch and Quentin turned to look at Trinity, who had the most unreadable expression on her face. She looked almost emotionless, like she didn't care.
"You broke it?!"
"Yeah.", said Trinity. "But if you want to get angry at anyone, get angry at her.", Trinity pointed to the girl scout, who looked scared. "She's the one who took embarrassing pictures of my friend. Once on his first day of school, and another one while he was having a breakdown."
Quentin turned to look at Finch, "Seriously, Finch?", he said. "I told you, that camera was for investigation purposes only, and you're over here using it to take pictures of mental breakdowns?"
Finch rubbed her arm and looked at the ground, ashamed.
Quentin took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, "Look, we'll talk about this with your dad later. But right now, I have work to do. I have a spare camera in my car, but I'm not letting you borrow it because of this newfound information.", he said before adding "Also, it's the last one I have."
Finch nodded, still looking at the ground.
"But all that aside, have you kids seen either of the Peterson kids around?"
Trinity shook her head. "No, we're on a different investigation."
Quentin leaned down, smiling at Trinity. "Ooh, a young detective, are you?", he said. "Well what's your little investigation about, sweetheart?"
Trinity backed away from Quentin, her expression still unreadable. "First of all, don't call me sweetheart. My name is Trinity. Second of all, it's none of your business. But if you must know, we're trying to figure out the identity of a certain crow man. Crowface ring any bells? Or perhaps, The Guest?"
Quentin stood back up. "How do you kids know about The Guest?"
Trinity reached into her pocket and took out her coin, extending her hand to show it to him.
"He came into my room in the middle of the night, and when I woke up, I found this on my bedside drawer. Along with a note saying "Mr. Peterson is gone, and so are you. Lose this coin, lose your life.", and now we're trying to find out who the hell is threatening me with death if I lose this coin.", she said in two breaths.
Finch stepped in, "Me and Nicky don't think he even has an identity, but they do.", she said, pointing to Trinity.
Quentin was at loss for words, he pressed his hands to his cheeks in horror. "Oh God, they've got you too.", he whispered.
"Who's got me?"
The man looked around, then guided the two girls to his van, closing the door behind them as they got inside, then he hopped into the driver's seat.
"Look, kids. I don't know what you did to get that, but I can tell it's not something good.", said Quentin.
Meanwhile, Trinity was still confused as hell. "What do you mean? Who's got me? Is...Is there more than one Crowface?"
Quentin took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled, clutching the steering wheel. "I guess you could say that. But the thing is there's not more than one Crowface, but there is more than one raven man...or woman."
Trinity and Finch exchanged a look of confusion.
"Right.", said Quentin. "Judging by that look, I'm guessing you've never heard of the Forest Protectors."
Trinity and Finch shook their heads.
"Let me give you a little backstory."
Quentin reached into his glove compartment, pulling out a notebook. As he turned the pages, he finally found the one he was looking for.
"The Forest Protectors are human crows that lurk mysteriously in the woods of Raven Brooks, performing rituals and ceremonies to contain their luck. They have this little brass and emerald octagon device that curses the town with bad luck, meanwhile they keep all the good luck for themselves. No one knows where they come from, or where they truly originate from, but they are rumored to be real. Some people believe it, others don't."
Quentin turned the page.
"Anyone who dares intrude upon them in their sanctuary in the woods, are either killed, traumatized, or cursed.", he reached into Trinity's hand, taking the coin. "These coins represent bad luck, and if you lose them or throw them away, you'll never see the light of day again. For example, you know the real estate agent who got hit by a bread truck? Well she didn't believe the whole bad luck thing, and she threw her coin into the forest. And the employee at the hardware store, his coin fell out of his pocket, and...well...the rest you kids probably know."
Trinity nodded, "Oh I know alright.", she said, taking her coin back.
"So now, Trinity's life is in the hands of these crow people?", asked Finch.
"I'm afraid so, sweetie.", said Quentin.
"Quentin,...", said Trinity. "How do you know so much about the Forest Protectors?"
A moment of silence passed by before he answered her question.
"Because I was kidnapped by them once. They tied me up and locked me in a room filled with candles. I thought they had plans to kill me. Thankfully, I managed to escape."
"Do you know if they have any sort of connection with Mr. Peterson?", asked Finch.
"Maybe. They possibly do, but I don't fully know yet. I don't know what Mr. Peterson did to get on their bad side, but I do know that his bad luck is caused by them. They probably did something to their car to make it crash into that pizza delivery car and kill the wife, but I'm looking more into that.", replied Quentin.
Trinity looked down at her lap.
"Look, kids. I'm asking you, for your own safety, to stay away from the Forest Protectors. I know you think you're going in the right direction, but you're just children. And hell knows what those monsters do to children. I'm only investigating them because they could possibly lead to Aaron and Mya's whereabouts. But you kids, please don't get involved with this anymore. Okay?"
Trinity and Finch nodded, and got out of the van.
Quentin drove off, accidentally blowing smoke in Trinity's face. As she watched the car disappear into the distance, she stomped in the opposite direction.
"Trinity!", Finch called out to her, "Where are you going?"
"To investigate the Forest Protectors."

I miss Gaza. I miss my family. I miss my friends. I miss my home. I miss the walks on the beach with my cousins. I miss the corner shops where everything was cheap. I miss going to the mosque with my friends and family. I miss going to the park with my brothers. I miss my school. I miss my kitten Kiki. I miss the summers spent at my grandparents. I miss walking to school with my brothers and talking about what we're going to do afterwards. I miss going to the library every day and constantly reading new books. I miss picking out new dresses at the store. I miss riding my bike with my cousins. I miss my neighbor Mohamed who I would always play chess with. I miss Palestine, my home.
My world turned upside down when my parents told me we were moving, seeing them hastily pack up everything. I was eleven years old, not knowing why we had to leave our home. I remember hearing my mom cry in the other room on the phone with my aunt. I remember my dad driving in a hurry. Nobody wanted to tell me what was happening, but deep down I knew. And then we were in Egypt, my parents were scared that we'd get sent back, if it wasn't for my dad's connections I think we'd be dead by now.
Next thing I know we're on a flight to, in my mom's words, "the big tower clock country" (we were going to London in). Seeing my uncle waiting for us at the airport and talking to me about how much fun it is here and how I'd make lots of friends. All I could think about if there was a chance that l'd ever be able to go back home. Eleven years later and I still haven't been able to go back home. I had to learn to live with the racism, the Islamophobia, the zionists, the constant hate against my people. I had to learn to cope with the dead of my family members, my friends, my neighbor. Luckily some of my close family could also leave, but then a lot could not and I'm honestly not sure how many are still alive.
I'm incredibly grateful and lucky that I was able to get to a safe country, yet I still miss everything back home. I'm so incredibly thankful to everyone who attended the march for Palestine in London and overall just in any city over the world. Hurts my heart seeing Noah Schnapp holding stickers that says 'zionism is sexy' while Bella Hadid got death threats because she speaks up about Palestine. My point in sharing my story is to remind people that the Palestinians you hear about in the media getting murdered, ALL had lives, they all had dreams, they all had friends and families, they all had their whole world taken from them. They are innocent human beings.
I still hold out hope that one day, I'll be able to take my kids to see the Gaza that I saw. 🇵🇸🩷
I’m so sorry 💜 I know nothing that I say could even comfort you at all. But thank you for choosing to share this with me, I can feel the pain in your words. The pain of being forced to leave your home and being so young that you don’t even understand why. And being so scared and confused… my heart truly goes out to you and the millions of others in Gaza who have been displaced, or lost their homes, lost the land they grew up on, lost their lives or the lives of their loved ones. It’s an actual modern day horror, what we are witnessing.
This is real, individual people we are talking about. As you said, they all had lives, all had dreams, all had hobbies and interests the same as we do. And it’s crazy the luxury we have, us who have never known the struggle or heartbreak of being displaced. Of experiencing a literal genocide. I am so privileged to be able to sit comfortably in my bedroom knowing that no one could just come and claim it as theirs. That no fuckass rich white bitch from Brooklyn New York could just shack up in my house and call it HER land. (Sorry for my language, it just makes me so angry. The way some people are reacting across the world makes me so angry… and I know it makes you ever angrier and more upset.)
My heart goes out to you and I pray to Allah that you will one day return to a free Palestine. To a free Gaza and your people can rebuild what was so cruelly taken from them. The same people who were so cruelly dehumanised by the Zionists and their religious ethnostate of “Isr*el.” I have no sympathy for the Zionists or their supporters. I have no respect for privileged celebrities like Noah Schnapp and others like that woman from the big bang theory, who can sit so comfortably in their mansions and feel like they know what is going on and try to persuade others to support their Zionistic views. When there are brave Palestinian children, women, men, babies, all innocent, all dying and they think the world has turned their back on them. All they have now is their faith.
I’m speaking to you straight from my heart, I know I don’t know you. But what you’ve said has touched me so much and I wish I could do more. I’m happy that you were able to escape and your immediate family is safe, I’m happy your father had the connections he did. I mourn the loss of your homeland, but I’m praying for you and all your people. And I will not forgive or forget what every single Zionist (celebrity or every day person) has said, how they have acted, what they have chosen to support. Years from now they will say they were brainwashed, misguided, they’ll sweep it under the rug and they’ll be forgiven but I will not forgive them.
There is hope in my heart seeing how many people (1mill+) that showed up every Saturday to protest in London, and all over the world in support of Palestine. The strongest thing in this world is hope… and faith. In my opinion. And it hurts, because reading your vivid memories, and how well you remember your home… But I know it won’t be for nothing. Idc if this sounds sappy but I’ll hope and pray for a free Palestine, and for you to go home one day.

On the topic on season 8 of mlp, I had a problem with the inconsistent way dragons were portrayed in season 8. It really confused me, since there were a lot of conflicting stuff being said by Smolder about how dragons treat their kids.
Oh, yeah! Right on! You're so right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Molt Down Smolder told Spike that during the molt, dragon parents abandon their kids to fend for themselves against giant predators:
Spike: No-no-no-no-no. The last time I grew up, I turned into a giant greedy monster.
Smolder: Greed-induced bigness. That's totally different. The molt is completely normal. Every dragon goes through it. Pretty soon, you'll leave and strike out on your own.
Spike: Why would I do that?
Smolder: Have you been living with ponies your whole life?
Spike: Uh-huh.
Smolder: Oh. Well, in the Dragon Lands, a molter's loved ones kicks them out at the first stone scale.
Spike: What? Why?
Smolder: I think it's biological. We call it the "molt effect". I haven't even told you about the smell.
Spike: So no creature's gonna wanna be around me?
Smolder: Oh, I didn't say that. That molt stench is a magnet for predators. Tatzlwurms, hydras, rocs...
Spike: Dragons are scared of rocks?
Smolder: R-O-C-S. Rocs? Humongous birds of prey that can snack on a molting dragon like candy!
Spike: So Twilight's kicking me out, and the only creatures who don't find me disgusting want to eat me?
But in Father Knows Beast, Smolder tells Spike that dragon parents take time to teach their kids how to fly after they sprout wings:
Spike: Wow! Thank you so much! How did you know I just needed to bend my wings?
Smolder: Honestly, this is Dragon 101. Usually dragon parents teach this stuff.
So Dragon parents kick their kids out and don't care if their children are killed during puberty, but if they somehow survive through puberty then they take their kids back in just to teach them how to fly? Or was Smolder just lying to Spike?
Tumblr media
In Father Knows Beast after Spike tells Smolder about Sludge:
Smolder: So, Sludge just lays around while you wait on him claw and tail? Uh, dragons are rude and rebellious, but they aren't lazy lumps who take advantage of their kids.
Spike: Huh. Now I'm really confused.
Tumblr media
Then when Sludge reveals he lied about being Spike's dad in order to live in the Castle, Smolder berates him for it:
Sludge: Stop! I'm not your father!
Spike: What?
Sludge: I just said that to get in on this sweet castle life.
Spike: So... you... pretended to be my dad?
Sludge: Now-now-now-now-now, don't look at me like that, kid. I did what any dragon would do.
Smolder: No. You didn't.
Sludge: Hey. I saw an opportunity, and I took it. That's what dragons do.
Smolder: No. It isn't.
Tumblr media
But in a previous episode, Smolder tells the Feast of Fire story that won the dragon contest, the story about Scales overthrowing the nice Dragon Lord:
Smolder: [narrating] Scales sat with the Dragon Lord's family and friends and had the biggest, best dinner of gemstones she'd ever eaten! Then, while the dragons were telling stories, Scales thought it would be so easy to seize power from this feeble and sensitive Dragon Lord. She saw her chance... and took it! [flames bursting]
Smolder: [narrating] She claimed the Bloodstone Scepter and took over the Dragon Lands! [as Scales, evil laughter] And forced the Dragon Lord to live out in the cold, just as she used to!
Ocellus: That's a horrible story!
Smolder: Maybe to you. But dragons like hearing about weak, kind creatures getting defeated.
Tumblr media
Dragons are known to be opportunists and they enjoy stories of kind creatures getting betrayed and used, but Smolder tried to make a point to Sludge that it was definitely something dragons did not do...
Yeah, that's a bit confusing.
It reminds me of the way Garble's character was retconned in Sweet and Smoky by Smolder's mere existence.
Tumblr media
This analysis is making me realize that Smolder's character only exists just to retcon/contradict everything we know about dragons. Spike is better off learning about dragons from Ember. I don't hate Smolder as a character, I just hate her role in certain stories, specifically involving Spike and dragons.
Sidenote: Torch and the ancient Dragon Lord are the nicest adult dragons we've seen in the show. Even after Ember disobeyed him, Torch congratulated her, and admitted he was wrong in front of the other dragons.

Baz | part two
a steddyhands twt thread turned oneshot
|| Rated Gen || Stede and Ed take a brief vacation to visit Stede's family, and find a surprise.
part one / part two
It's a small shack, nearly a cottage, nestled neatly by the edge of the jungle, where few wander. The path is clearly only walked by a few.
It's-- nice. Like a dream someone else might've had. It's certainly never occurred to Ed to dream of a place like this for himself-- small and unassuming, nothing particularly fine or exciting or remarkable about it.
There's a girl, with a riot of blond hair pulled back into a ponytail, going through various fighting drills in the garden. Dressed practically, sturdy boots and worn trousers. Her movements are as familiar to Ed as his own. Which makes sense, considering who taught Ed the finer points of using a sword.
There's a boy sitting by the porch, and next to him is a man, cane propped up next to him.
He looks good, is the thing. Less strain around the eyes. Older, thinner, less muscle tone. But there's something softer around his mouth. Something gentle about his eyes. He looks up at the exact moment the girl does.
His eyebrows fly up. Ed doesn't know what his face is doing.
"Dad!" say the kids as one, looking moderately pleased.
"Childr--wait, Izzy?" yells Stede, flabbergasted. Which is fair.
"Jesus Christ," says Iz, looking resigned, "Fucking Mary."
"You cursed again!" says Louis, delighted.
"And I won't stop," says Iz, flatly. Then, quietly, "Ed."
"Iz," says Ed.
"Did you know," Stede hisses, rounding on Ed.
"I figured it out the second she said he was a terrible gossip," Ed says, pitching his voice so it would carry.
Izzy's face loses that strange, sad cast and scowls, "I've never gossiped a day in my life, Edward Teach."
"But you do?" says Louis, innocently.
Yeah, like, all the time," says Alma, "with Miss Evelyn and mum, you guys get drunk and--"
"Alright," says Izzy, in the same tone as when the crew gets too uppity, "Why don't we head inside for some fucking drinks. Jesus."
He leans heavy on his cane as he walks. Ed watches him, wonders what human flesh tastes like. Stede looks at him, can clearly read the thought on his face, and pulls him along. The kids are told to stay outside. Grown-up talks, says Iz, and he sounds like a dad. It's hilarious.
It must be said, Ed's extremely fucking confused. He's never seen Iz like this; all unbuttoned and relaxed. No sword at his hip.
He pulls out a bottle of whiskey.
"It's barely noon," says Stede.
"I'm not having this conversation sober."
"You wanna talk?" says Ed, hopefully.
Iz levels him with an expression of supreme judgment. Ed's really missed his bitchy little face. He also realizes that Stede has a very similar bitchy little face. Is his type just bitchy little men? Is this why he broke up with Jack?
They end up at the table, day drinking.
"I'm not going back," Izzy says, firmly. He seems like a different man. Ed thinks his heart might be breaking. Some horrid, cruel part of him hates Izzy for getting better without him there.
Then, abruptly, he realizes that this is the exact same horrid feeling Iz had about Stede. Silence, again.
"The children seem to like you," Stede says, apropos of nothing.
"They're good kids. That Alma's going to be terrifying one day."
"I don't doubt it," says Stede, "I've heard good things about your beets, by the way."
Iz looks at Ed, baffled. Ed shrugs. Maybe Stede just really likes beets.
"We've been thinking about visiting the children more often," Stede goes on, in that weird airy tone of his, "More shore leaves."
"...we have?" says Ed.
"Yes, Edward," says Stede, pointedly. Ed doesn't give a rat's ass about the children. He nods anyway.
"...good for you?" says Iz, confused, "I don't care?"
Stede nudges Ed. Ed nudges him back. Stede stares at him.
Wait, oh. "Can we visit?" asks Ed.
"Why would you want to?" asks Iz, "You fucking hate being on land."
"I'd do it for you," Ed says.
Izzy blinks, startled. That hurts. He deserves it, though.
"Because you love me," he says, slowly.
"And I've unfortunately grown somewhat fond of you," Stede adds, in the manner of someone delivering some very bad news.
"What," says Izzy.
"My fault," says Ed.
"I don't feel murderous rage when I look at you anymore," Izzy informs Stede, "That's all you're getting."
"I'll take it," says Stede, looking determined.
Ed knows that look. Doggedly determined, this one. Iz is about to be wooed. No idea what he's just signed up for, poor guy.
Nothing's been solved, of course. Ed still tastes blood in his mouth, Izzy's never going to walk the same again, Stede still has very little idea of how deep this whole thing goes. But it's a start.
Outside, the kids are laughing. Iz has eased up, doesn't look so small.
"So," says Ed, grinning all shit-eating. Because they haven't solved it, and he'll never be his First Mate again, but Ed has permission to try. Which is a big improvement from Past Tense Iz, "Tell me about your beets, Iz."
"Shut the fuck up, Ed," says Iz, but he's grinning back.
