Weight Loss Without Exercises
Losing weight without exercise is possible, but it can be difficult and may not be the most effective or healthy way to achieve your weight loss goals. Here are a few tips for losing weight without exercising:
Eat a healthy, balanced diet: Focus on eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, and limit your intake of processed foods, sugary drinks, and unhealthy fats.
Keep track of your food intake: Use a food diary or a calorie tracking app to help you stay aware of how much you're eating and make sure you're not consuming more calories than you're burning.
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water, as it can help you feel full and may also increase your metabolism.
Get enough sleep: Lack of sleep has been linked to weight gain, so make sure you're getting enough rest each night.
Find ways to reduce stress: Chronic stress can lead to overeating and weight gain, so finding ways to manage stress, such as through meditation or yoga, can be helpful.
It's important to note that while it is possible to lose weight without exercising, regular physical activity has numerous health benefits and can help you achieve and maintain a healthy weight. It's a good idea to talk to a healthcare provider or a registered dietitian for personalized advice on how to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Click here for more

Whenever people who are entrenched in diet culture talk about how terrible chemicals are, I just want to whip out this:
Tumblr media
#diet culture#diet culture tw#described images#image description in alt#'it's got CHEMICALS in it' and so do you! and me too! IT'S ALL CHEMICALS ALL THE WAY DOWN#instead of running from this world we must learn to embrace it#i'm not particularly angry at people who say this because it makes me think that they're incredibly invested in diet culture...#...i just don't want the whole 'food = bad' or 'bodies = bad' to go unchallenged...#...part of the reason why diet culture seems just as prevalent now (if not moreso) is partially because it isn't really...#...challenged or questioned without provocation. it's just assumed to be correct because it makes you 'feel in control'#when chemicals are bad you can control what chemicals you consume. it's individualistic and places the blame onto you for 'being good'#it places responsibility onto the person in such a way that it becomes impossible to fulfill#it isn't that i'm upset that people want to treat their bodies in a way they think is responsible...#...moreso that the *way* they go about it ensures that they're stuck in a cycle of self-blame and even self-hatred#because the METHOD is ineffective. not the desire to treat your body well#also the state of ohio looks stupid and i do Not respect it#it looks like a ball that is simultaneously deflated and over-inflated#also their state flag looks silly to me#it looks like the person who was making it fell asleep making it#i'm just clowning on ohio at this point. have never been to ohio but. are you guys okay

When Camila asked the kids about their favorite foods, she was just hoping to ask Luz for help to try and find any human substitute/equivalent to try and replicate it for them.
He was expecting to hear some bizarre names. (Seriously, fairy pie? What would one even use to substitute fairies? Shrimp, maybe?)
What she wasn't expecting was Hunter looking serious and focused enough as a man on the battlefield.
He was muttering to himself while tapping his finger to his lips, seemingly giving the question far more importance than Camila thought necessary.
He kept at it for a few seconds until finally, with a resolute nod to himself, he replied.
"Rootknot fruit."
Camila wasn't surprised when she didn't recognize the name. But she was a bit surprised to find that Amity, Gus, Luz, and Vee looked as lost as she did.
She was even more surprised at Willow's borderline offended look.
"Rootknot fruit? Really?"
Hunter perked up in the way he did every time he got to speak about a particular interest of his.
"Yeah! It grows all over the isles, and it's relatively easy to forage. The fruit is really dense, so a single bite can be enough to push away hunger for a whole day. Also, in case of emergency, if you chew the skin into a paste and use it as a salve between bandages, it makes any wound close faster to stop bleeding. It's a great food source to find in any mission."
Everyone blinked.
"Ah, that sounds great, mijo. And do you like the taste?"
"Oh no, it tastes awful. Like chewing on rotten wood. It's terrible."
Hunter was still smiling as he told her that his favorite food tasted terrible.
"Oh. Well, do you have any food from the demon realm you really like the taste of?"
Hunter now looked pensive. Apparently, taste never occurred to him as a factor when choosing a favorite food.
"Um. Gus once gave me a really good sandwich?"

maybe a hot take but please don’t have or stop having children if you have an active eating disorder/body dysmorphia (including binge eating, not just restrictive disorders). seriously
thinking you’ll be the exception (because you’re So self-aware, unlike those Other disordered women) and won’t give your dysmorphia/eating disorder to your child is pride before a very slow and terrible fall
it never ever works. you’re never ever immune. i mean, such a huge reason of why there are so many of us now is bc our moms thought the same thing lmfao. didn’t matter how well-intentioned they were. no matter how much they tried to separate Their Problems from Ours. here we fucking are
i know it’s not women’s fault to begin with, but the reality is that those of us affected do incubate, nurture, and pass on the virus in the Current Way of Things
the buck needs to stop here. this isn’t a game. think of all the things your mother probably thought she was expertly hiding from you that you still picked up on and were profoundly affected by in a terrible and formative way. it will happen to you, too. don’t think it won’t.
if you know that you’re not solidly and confidently recovered, you have a responsibility to stop that buck and not actively attempt to create a child who will observe, mimic, internalize, adopt, and inherit your lifelong life-ruining behavior. the selfishness is breathtaking honestly

i think that veganism as a political movement has a lot of interesting things to say about how food agriculture has been shaped by consumerism and the way its alienated the average westerner from food production especially around meat. its a cruel cruel industry for everyone involved and it sucks.
unfortunately it also overwelmingly falls victim (like a lot of other socially progressive political movements lol) to a complete inability or perhaps a refusal to engage with rural indigenous communities especially in the global south. which is ironic because (like a lot of other socially progressive political movements) much of their theoretical framework for reforming society Depends on rural indigenous communities especially in the global south ^.^
#this isnt just about how a lot of rural indigenous communities cannot survive on a vegan diet altho that is part of it#but its also more importantly about how a lot of the global north cannot survive on a vegan diet without exploitation!#and a lot of my issues with veganism as a political movement stems from the fact that ive never heard of a vegan solution to#food production that isnt reliant on restructuring imperialist foodways but just Making them Vegan Now#meanwhile you look at historic examples of widespread adoption of veganism and vegetarianism#and theyre almost all in subtropical fertile regions with a huge diversity of native grains and fruit and veg#i guess the uk is a good example of it because the uk already imports so much fruit and vegetables#the uk as an island in a temperate/subarctic position cannot grow the amount of food required to feed their population on a vegan diet#this goes for a lot of europe and north america in fact. so if the whole world was just gonna switch to a vegan lifestyle#the global north would largely be fed by the global south (as it is now)#perpetuating systems of oppression of both land and people in the global south. not much would change on that end#this is largely because a lot of vegans are these super alienated super priviliged white settlers from the suburbs#and they project their alienation onto others#anyway i think about the politics of veganism a lot for someone who will never be vegan (due to geographical and ethical concerns)#probably because until recently my family and others in my area have relied on hunting for food

It's that time of year again where it gets a little warmer and I remember that Amphibia is a show I very much enjoy thinking about. Have some Anne outfits, as a treat <3
If you would like to see what aspect of headcanon/ au worldbuilding had consumed my consciousness like a pestering maggot, feel free to continue below.
Hello! Welcome to I focus on researching one very specific detail until I burn out!
My entire day has been consumed by figuring out how Amphibia's farming works. Like... amphibians are carnivores why do they have farms?
Well, I'll tell you why! The Plantars grow animal feed for predominantly crickets but also others such as silkworms, spiders, snails, etc. They grow produce like cabbage, mushrooms, parsnips, potatoes, dandelions, and turnips as well as heartfruit, a fruit not found on Earth.
In the past, the original amphibian hunter/gatherer societies found that mealworms were attracted to fallen heartfruit, among others. They began to use this knowledge to make traps and eventually began both containing the worms as well as growing the fruit.
Despite mealworms historical prominence in the farming and feeding of Amphibia, crickets are more popular nowadays due to their higher levels of protein. They also began growing a larger variety of produce to further increase efficiency.
Heartfruit is a kind of tree grown fruit with the color of a raspberry, size of a kumquat, and shape of a peach (hence the name). The Plantar's orchard is the only producer of this fruit as its traditionally significant but not necessary for frog kind. They are Anne's personal favorite of the Plantar's produce, being chalk full of nutrients and somehow feels nostalgic to her.
Speaking of Anne, she survives mostly on the Plantar's produce along with cricket meat (knowing that she can at least eat crickets).
After discovering that the amphibians hibernate, she begins to plant pole beans, blueberries, elderberries, and other produce and herbs in her greenhouse to cultivate while she forages and stockpiles for winter. She preps and stores wild rice, pecans, and sunflower seeds (discovered through trial and error). She keeps spare root veggies and other product in the basement. The Plantars help her do this, once they understand the situation, drying heartfruit and salting and smoking fish as well as making jerky out of bugs that they know she can have.
Anne's gonna learn to survive, even if the first winter is especially hard.

I don't know if any of my followers here are into Human Design (it's a bit like astrology, but a bit more practical in its application).
A lot of people try to eat intuitively, or find a way of eating that suits them. But that's difficult to do when your mind is clouded with so much conflict over what is best. Diet culture has poked its head into many healthy eating spaces time and time again. And every body is different, with different needs. So, you have to let go of all the crap to really start tuning in with your body and nourish it properly.
In Human Design, there is an aspect called digestion (or determination). It dictates how you most efficiently digest/intake information. It's not just limited to food (food is information for your cells). The digestion aspect challenges you to step out of how you may have thought you ought to eat (or learn) (or live in general).
I have some guides on reading & interpreting your Human Design chart over on my other blog. The Primary Health System: HD Variables post talks particularly about finding your digestion/determination aspect. Or, if the Human Design system is not your thing, I have a SAD Diet Transformation series (to help you get out of patterns of eating that don't bring you joy).

part 11/26ish
anyone remember those scales with the springs in 'em? all i ever see these days are digital scales but those things made the best noises. i think i've seen some kitchen scales that still use spring mechanisms, but it's been a while.
technology is weird.
from the beginning
#otherkin hrt#fictionkin hrt#fictionkin#otherkin#digihrt#dg arts#-apomon#updates might slow down from daily since our brain ceased letting us do art about halfway through bfsdhjfbjshdbfs#oh well#i'm thinking of doing another fake in-universe pamphlet for a bonus though#specifically like talking about the “weight” stat#fun fact: we'd never stepped on a scale in almost a decade before finally seeing a doctor for the first time in that 10 years last year#we used to obsess over our weight in a way inherited from our mom's diet culture BS and then like#i'm pretty sure we split someone in the system who just managed to not give a shit#and everyone else that did basically got put in time out or fragmented to hell (we still don't know)#i think about this post i saw a while ago that talked about how like#weight (specifically as it is medicalized) shouldn't be a concern so much as if you're moving your joints and stretching them enough#and it should really only be a concern when it drastically changes in a short period of time because it can sometimes be indicative of#your body flipping its lid#the post talked about rapid weight loss specifically and how a lot of doctors will go “oh wow weight loss!! yay :)” when like.#no??? not yay???#anyways some medications can cause weight fluctuations too#our fibro medication can cause weight gain and tbh i don't give so much of a shit about that as i am curious about the mechanics behind it#our relationship to weight is mostly informed by being the one person in our family who never had to deal with fatphobia targeting them#but just because we weren't the target didn't mean it didn't affect us when our mom's whole life shifted around WW#i didn't want to delve into that in this comic tbh so aside from the little bonus pamphlet this is the last time it's brought up#but like a comic where we take a version of ourself through this kind of transition would inevitably have to touch on relationships to food#we're just lucky we finally found out that we can actually like... enjoy food without it hurting us?#part of the wish fulfillment of this scenario would (and is) the idea of getting to enjoy food without bodily discomfort#because on top of us almost developing an ED we also just have a garbage stomach

At lunch with friends listening to all the slender college kids compare bodies and try to lose weight, watching the overweight fortysomethings and the two seventy-year-olds ignore all of it, being the only college kid who's visibly fat, listening to the others bicker right in front of me, realizing once again that looking like me is their worst nightmare, sorrowing all at once over how much every single person in this room hates their body but I love every one of them so much.
Knowing that my weight came when my family experienced trauma, left (slightly) with self-imposed hateful restrictions, which led to self-harm and to further trauma and weight gain in 8th grade, left again when I had one good year, then skyrocketed in 11th grade when I was assaulted, then went back down with a physical labor job, then came back with the pandemic and college, then went down with an active summer, then came back when I destroyed my ankle, then continued upward with college and pneumonia and the head injury and bronchitis and processing trauma, and went back down when I was too burned out to eat, then went back up with an awful job, then plateaued, then I spent a semester healing my soul and it came with 15 pounds that I swear were worth it, then went back down with physical labor and a vow to fix my relationship with food, then came back with college. And I was back on a downward trend until getting the flu a couple weeks ago and my weight didn't change because my period started and last night I was just exhausted and out of sorts and I binged for the first time in months. Consumed like 2,000 calories of garbage in an hour.
I know I need to take a day of rest. I feel guilty that all the other kids are doing schoolwork while I'm off taking a nap. Actually I'm up here crying, but they don't need to know that.
I know that even when my weight goes down, my shoulders don't get smaller. My hips will still be broad no matter what I do. I wear women's size 12 shoes. Even if I starve 60 pounds off my body and shave my mustache and my legs and start tucking my shirts in and dressing pretty and wearing makeup and wearing push-up bras and curling my hair, they won't accept me. I'll just be a success story to them.
And I'll be another success story for other fat people to beat themselves with.

Not gonna add this onto the post itself bc it's not really the point and also I don't like the op but I feel like if a friend asked me to "help them enforce their diet" by slapping food out of their hands... I would say no? I feel like the correct answer here is no, right? I mean I think that diet culture is overall unhealthy anyway but if someone close to me was dead set on going on a diet for whatever reason that is absolutely not how I would go about helping them. I think it could be fun to help someone look for alternative food options that are similar to stuff they liked before but are healthier, or maybe help them find brand new foods that they would have never considered before, but ultimately if my friend tells me that they want to completely cut junk food out of their life and then a week later I see them buy a Twinkie I'm not saying or doing shit about that because they're an adult and it's their fckin choice
