It was meant to be, or so you thought.

You blink, staring at the ceiling not sure why your ex came to mind.

He was partial to the reason for your move the gloomy town (which you enjoyed more than the sunny state you were in) but not the entire reason.

If only your mom could see you now, working hard and still keeping true to who you are.

You push yourself out of bed, needing to get started on your day.

You finish up and jot down another line, knowing it's slowly turned into a "revenge" song.

You exit your place and hop in your truck, heading down to your favorite person's place.

"Emily, your other honey is home."

Sam lets out a dry laugh. "Funny as always."

"I know, it's one of the perks of being my friend."

"Are going to do..." You snatch a muffin from the tray. "Sam things?"

The couple glance at one another, curious if you know.

"Yeah, we won't be back till later-" He doesn't finish as the boys burst through the door. Almost all ignore you, not aware of your presence.

You mumble, "now I know why you're ready to feed an army."

The boys freeze, all conversations stopping. "Uh-"

"Who's the girl?" Jared asks, snaking a muffin.

You raise a brow, picking at the muffin, breaking it into bite size pieces. "What a question."

"Who's the sassy girl?" The same guy asks.

"How do you deal with idiots?"

Emily snickers, scanning over the pack for their expressions.

"Good thing Paul's not here or else he'd flip a lid," Embry mutters.

You push yourself off the stool and grab your bag. "Later, Em. Bye bye, Sammy."

You wave them off before glancing at the group. "Such an interesting... gang you have here."

You spin around, smirking to yourself, not wanting to let the cat (wolf) out of its bag. "I heard there's going to be a full moon tonight."

The door slams shut.

You shake your head, smirking to yourself, proud of your teasing. You bump into a body, not entirely paying attention. "Sorry." You pass by the person and hop in your car, not realizing the electricity he felt in that simple touch.

You look up after putting your keys in the ignition, only to find a dark pair of eyes on yours.

The subtle feeling through your body alerts you.

"Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap." You have to force your gaze away from his. "Please don't be able to read lips. Oh, crap. They can hear." You start pulling out and make it back to your house.

Weeks go by and you screen another one of Emily's calls.

"I'll call her when this passes," you mutter, writing another line. You slam your pencil down, "who am I kidding? It's never going to stop."

You don't want to answer her and send another lie.

A knock on your door surprises you.

You carefully make your way to the door, scanning through the peephole. Your back's flat against the door. "Why the hell is he here?"

"We need to talk."

"No, Emily's been trying for days, and it hasn't worked. Let me in."

You scoff, "not with that attitude."

He growls under his breath, "fine. Please let me in?"

He knocks on your door with more force, trying to get one of your neighbors to come out so they can tell him to stop and make you let him in.

"Who says I haven't?"

"Me. I am the one who decides since this is my place."

"Living here alone? Really?"

You shrug, "parents died."

"Oh," he clears his throat, "sorry."

"So, uh- what do you know?"

"I used to visit when I was a kid and heard the stories because of my cousin."

"That we happen to be united forever essentially, kind of hard not to, not gonna lie."

You furrow your brows, "what do you mean?"

He shocked you don't know who he is. "Lahote?"

"Paul?" You ask, not entirely sure if you got the right name or not.

"How long has it been since you were in town?"

You shrug, "few years. I haven't been out of the house as much since my life went to crap," you offer a sarcastic smile.

You make up an excuse and say you're going to be right back, needing to use the little girl's room.

"Next up, is one of our favorites," the mc, Tiny Tim (your favorite guy there) announces.

You walk across stage, confusing Paul but not Emily and Sam (who told him to take you there if he got far enough). They cheer you on while listening to your song.

suddenly thought about what if ibara has kids when hes older and i keep digging myself deeper into a rabbit hole with this thought bc its such a conundrum. assuming hed even want to have kids at all (he wouldnt, which is why i think this is so funny) depending on where his personality settles as an adult it could go a couple different ways

- if he mellows out and stops larping wolf of wallstreet hed be an amazing parent

Favourite Rote book: Fool's Errand

Why: I'm a romantic at heart, ngl. The domestic bliss, walks on the beach, late night talks sipping brandy by the fireplace, the Fool reading everything Fitz had written (!!!!! I can't think too much about that one without wanting to explode), Fitz getting every surface of his house lovingly carved by the Fool... Just the truly incredible way Fitz described that bubble of happiness and feeling whole (even if he was still forged!!!) just because the Fool was there with him and Nighteyes. I love it when a character is the most repressed being ever and the love still bursts through because it's just that strong.

After every awful thing that happened in Ass Quest, I definitely think Fitz deserved a time away from the Farseers to rest and find himself outside of all the roles he had to perform for the crown. Though, 15 years in nearly complete isolation except for Hap and Starling are a strech, he really was running away from life like the Fool said. Him coming back to Buckkeep and facing all the people from his childhood as an adult felt so amazing to read. I personally feel a lot for Fitz and his complicated relationships with his family. For him to meet Chade honestly and make him see how much he hurt him was !!!! Him hating Dutiful at first just bc he saw so much of himself as a kid in him and tbf Dutiful is a tangible reminder of all the trauma from his teenager years, so Fitz having to process all that was exquisite too.

Funniest mission ever to have to find a teenager that's unknowingly horny for a cat, but the Fool and Fitz can turn it into a secret identity rom com and I ate it up!!! Happiest book of the trilogy for me and it's because Fitz was happy to be near the Fool.

•A story: hmmm, this isn't really a story but i went on a school trip to Terschelling once, and I'd use up every free moment I had to go walking in the woods 5 minutes from the place we were staying :) We were in the dunes, and on my way to the forest I passed lots of snails :) The forest itself was lovely, unfortunately the weather made it look kinda sad, but on out last few days we had lovely sunny weather. There were like an endless amount of bunkers, but after a while you stop stumbling upon one every few steps you take.

Also I'd wake up at 4 am every day, bc I don't sleep well away from home, and as soon as it got light, I'd go to the forest. I think the only reason I stayed fairly calm during that trip was all the time I spent alone in the forest :) Anyways, I got lost once but somehow managed to remember the position of the sun around the time I left and found my way back that way :) I also at some point managed to accidentally walk to out next activity & I found the flattest rock I'd ever seen in that forest :) I gave it to a friend the next week bc he was crying and when people cry I instinctually want to give them rocks.

Aw shit ya caught me. I was gonna reveal this fact much later down the line bc ive been kinda open that WAC started out as an AU just not for what. Primarily the reason for secrecy is bc i don't want people to look at this story i put a lot of myself and my experience into and go "I can't believe you tricked me into reading about minecraft men" bc the story has expanded a lot past these intial inspirations.

So before i go into all the inspirations, I wanna make this perfectly clear. WAC's plot is almost completely original, baring some small scenes inspired by events in the Life series and the basic set up. It's a three act story that is mostly about me and my partners problems regarding abuse and personhood. The Life Series au was a starting point and it kinda spiraled out from that lollll.

(Also I saw your other ask and it doesn't bother me at all! Its been something ive wanted to talk about anyway simply bc i find the inspirations funny. Plus I promised myself if someone realized and asked I would talk about it. Also i just love talking about inspiration and seeing how you got from one thing to the next, maybe others would like the same.)

1. "Why are they cats?" This started as an au once again but i felt too embarrassed talking about it publicly as a mcyt au so I gave them cat designs. That's the only reason lol

Lain - Inspired primarily by 3rd life and lim life martyn in regards to both his devotion to the king (ren) and mariner (scott). Lain and Mariner originally started as Majorwood shipping cats but then became more about their unhealthy power dynamics and two people being stuck together it spiraled into what we have now! Especially since I believe Martyn killed Jimmy (Canary) in 3rd life? Or at least scott accuses him as such so that's where that came from.

Mariner - 3rd/lim life scott! His obsession with the sea, his name, his relationship to Canary, his ties to Lain, and his design is pulled from scott. That's about all that's similar now though. His personality is completely different. Hes a shitty fuckinh dude.

Canary - 3rd life Jimmy Solidarity but like fucking barely and just bc hes married to mariner (flower husbands). Took his name from the fandom calling him a canary because he always dies first and that's basically it. Also worked with the bird name theme i was starting to go with

The King - 3rd life ren but again fucking BARELY except for his relationship with Lain and being a king and trying to conquer shit. That's like. It.

Condor - he's just mr good times with scar. Hes like, the closest to his mcyt counterpart probably and im not even sorry. Took primarily from 3rd life and lim life once again though in regards to his relationship with Crane (Cleo), Warbler (bdubs), and Scout (Etho) (and also the fact the group is called the flock is a cheeky callback to the family being called the clockers)

Crane - stated above, Cleo, but only bc shes mom in the clockers family. Nothing else.

Warbler - limlife bdubs but again fucking BARELY. I think the bdubs skin is the most i drew on for her design with the fucked up eye and teeth.

Grouse - mr 3rd life grian. Dating condor because desert duo and feeling indebted to him for that as well. And just. Generally little guy vibes.

Scout - etho. Just for chill vibes. Dating Crabe because hes "dad" in lim life and dating Wolf (Joel) bc of double life halfslab.

Wolf - Primarily last life joel with the living alone in the woods thing and joel just being a like. Maniac in the life series with the murders and such. Dating scout again bc of double life. The her having canary's skull thing is just for my friend who is a big fucked up smallidarity shipper.

Sycamore, coal, and aster are original characters i made specifically for the story.

I would again like to state that the story is BARELY tied to things that happen in the life series, and its mostly my personal experiences and silly thoughts. The silly minecraft men were just the jumping off point and all of their arcs are original so there ya go <3

I headcannon that Morro is Ronin’s brother, so I like to think the edgelord is genetic. It, of course, skipped Ronin but manifested itself in his daughter. that family just cannot escape the legacy of the masters of Wind.

Speaking of masters of Wind, her eyes r purple because it’s what color Ronin’s eyes were before he got cursed. People with blood of the masters of Wind either have purple or green eyes, Ronin ended up w purple initially and Morro had the green. Lynne got her dad’s purple.

She hates it whenever people talk abt the ‘Alexandria’s Genesis’ thing because she has purple eyes but she still has to deal w periods!!

For a short period of time, she inherits the element of Wind sometime after Morro moves on. However, she realizes that she doesn’t actually want it as much as she thought she did and decides to release it into the world and let it go freely to whoever it chooses. She hopes that the next person to get the element of Wind is worthy. (this is how Euphrasia ends up w it during Dragons Rising!)

Even though Ronin and her mother divorce sometime after she turns 5 they don’t hate each other and stay friends! Ronin often visits her and, before he tried going crimeless, would often steal cool artifacts to show her. (this is why he stole the scroll of airjitzu! she was super interested in the ninja and their spinjitzu and he thought she might find airjitzu cool too! it just uh. doesn’t go to plan after he gets targeted for it)

My boyfriend and I have spent like an hour going through the tiger tag trying to decipher who it might be. Please take pity on us and let us know

I scrolled thru the tag and I wrote his name at least once, but since The Event I've been very careful not to. When a person represents a concept, their name stops being about its holder. This was already bad before The Event, but it's gotten much more pronounced.

Of course, Tiger was doomed from the start. He began his current career following a pre-written script put together by political scientists who ran surveys and found out that he was the person to play the part and boost morale. That's why the middle aged magical girl is in his tag, he was very much the one Chosen To Restore Hope To/Save The Country. And so he was instructed to act in a certain way in order to, from the beginning, represent a concept.

He was modeled after Stirlitz—a fictional character.

But I'll go over some of the themes in his tag, because I can't realistically expect anyone to get those.

The Dragon stuff is a reference to a play/movie, and also what 🐺 (one of the original script writers of his first iteration) and 🐱 (a major "opponent") have called him (because of the play/movie). He is not the dragon; the dragon can be influenced by multiple people and will not die when he does. He has trusted the wrong people with power (to influence the dragon. and the sentence does not change meaning)

Tiger bc: he's often represented as a tiger, especially in the Sinosphere fandom. In the realm of symbolism and abstract magic plots derived from the real world, I see him as an alley cat, cream-tabby patterned, trying to present himself as a tiger... originally helped by the illusionist 🐺 (who's not a wolf but a black cat) until 🐯 becomes insecure, in his presentation as a tiger and in 🐺's loyalty, and takes different measures. But most people don't see him as an alley cat at all. You probably don't, you probably just see the tiger.

Some things are just about his physical appearance. He's short, blond, and blue-eyed. People talk about his eyes a lot, probably because when he doesn't exist as a concept, he exists as an IRL movie character (still an abstract thing rather than a person).

Then there's the Magical Girl Middle Aged Man genre and posts about power and perception and whatnot. That's mostly explained, I think

I do tag him in posts abt being gay. Don't think about it too hard if it's a cognitohazard for you. I'll stand by it; he's really giving J Edgar Hoover.

Things like the Ianthe "posters of myself" post are also a reference to my abstracted world; tying in what I've already written about his performed vs real self, the heavily edited performed self is the one on those posters.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about who he is, because he's so ingrained as a Concept that the cognitive dissonance can even be painful when he's converted to a Person. It was even uncomfortable for me when I started reading about him (although that was soon transformed into the discomfort of reading something very interesting and not knowing who to tell it to).

Regarding the cat thing, well its like multiple theories connected into one so i will try my best to explain it. Firstly, there are folks that think Sampo could be a member of the Masked Fools OR Stellaron Hunters(or both even but I don't want to make this even more complicated). The highest evidence towards the Stellaron Hunter Sampo theory is that besides the three members we've seen in the game aka Kafka, Blade and Silver Wolf, there's two more confirmed ones. Firstly, there's Elio and then there's Sam. And I've seen people speculate that Sampo could be Sam because of the name similarities, (Although apparently they use different letters/symbols in Chinese version for writing those names so that's important to note) but also some folks think he might straight up be Elio because of 4th wall breaking stuff and Elio knowing everything basically.

Now on top of those speculations, there are theories that the cat in Kafka's art could be again, either Elio or Sam and therefore, maybe they are Shapeshifters. (Or maybe they're just a cat. Imagine having a playable cat. That would be wild)

So basically, because some people think that Sampo could be Sam or Elio (Sam I think is definitely more popular opinion in the Stellaron Hunter theory), and other people think that Sam or Elio could have been a cat, then, following this logic:Sampo=cat.

...gosh i sound so insane huh. I'm really sorry for this but I've dug so deep into so many different theories that people might have about this guy, that now if i get any opportunity to share a bit of the craziness I've seen, I'm taking it.

Ahh, if the chinese characters for Sampo and Sam are different, that kinda settles it for me already. Also in Silverwolf's story IV there's a metal humanoid that follows Blade, Kafka and maybe Elio?

Either the metal humanoid is Elio, or it's Sam. Or it could be someone completely different lol

Hmm, as for Sampo = Elio, I personality don't see it. Elio so far has only been revealed to see various different futures and not outright know they're in a game.

Going to the stretch-zone for this;; But I think his fourth-wall-breaking fits more with him being tied to Elation than with the Stellaron Hunters, just bc we have more evidence that he's linked to Elation than the SH for now.

Some people speculate that because he can break the fourth wall, Elation members might also be able to break the fourth wall. With this in mind, some people speculate that part of the reason why Elation thinks existence is a joke is because they know they're in a video game. The simulated Aha in SU immediately knew they were just an equation in a computer, which leads me to believe the real Aha is equally, or possibly even more self aware, which might apply to their followers as well.

... Though, I will acknowledge that Silver Wolf is able to break the fourth wall. But I'm not sure why exactly she can ^^;

As for the cat -- as much as I'd LOVE to see a playable cat, like not a cat girl, just a walking-on-four-legs-real-ass cat -- I think this is a bit of a stretch. We barely know what Sam and Elio look like, let alone the scope of their abilities. All we know about Sam is that he takes his job very seriously

As for Qingzu, I tried to think if she was in on the plan. As in, if she was a Masked Fool as well. But I really think this is a stretch. I'm not sure how tightly government officials in the Xianzhou hold on to the beliefs of Hunt, but I just can't imagine her also being in cahoots with Elation.

If not that, then maybe it's a tavern buddy of Sampo's.

Anyways, its okay!! We are still early into the story, so it's natural that there are more questions than answers. But while we wait, it won't hurt to speculate! 👀 so lets be crazy together hahahahshajk 🤪🤪💫😜🤪💫

Ziinia: Y'know, I hadn't really thought about that? *laughs* I guess either something happening that keeps me apart from my animals, or something bad happening to my family--there's a lot of us and we're all really close. I like to think I'd keep it together and think of a solution if either actually occurred, but I dunno. I love my family and my animals, so I'm not sure I wouldn't completely fall apart if one of those came to pass.

Siltera: I've picked up a few in my travels. There's Rushes, she's a hound dog, very good for sniffing out mushrooms and following a scent, also loves to sleep. Looks at me with big sad eyes if I wake her early. Puddle is a black cat, doesn't much care what I do as long as I remember to feed her and will spend enough time sitting still she can use me as a seat part of the day. Squall is a crow I found out near Clegur; an avanc had knocked him into some reeds and his wing got caught. I wasn't expecting him to follow me around after I freed him, but he did. He's very good, if a touch mischievous. Likes to let out one ridiculous caw in the wee hours of the morning, just for the fun of it. Sometimes he brings me trinkets, I think in thanks for not shooing him off.

sunny -> basil-yes in love but stupid, definitely like basil accompany bc he is lonely but deny most feelings towards him, at first it’s bc he thinks basil is human, then the I’m just the worst person I caused death. Both of them are mentally ill so they never communicate their affection because reason

Later part he give up whatever they are and just go with basil , he knows he likes him and basil seem like happy to follow whatever sunny desire, he is indecisive because of mari, which later he felt better w basil which caused conflict in his mind

basil->sunny- obsessed with the idea of death, but also slowly got attached of the changes of someone can and only ever be aside without leaving or dying before him, he would followed whatever ppl wants, a bit of unaware selfish tendencies shows when he wants sunny attention to himself , same as sunny, unspoken rules but very comfortable getting comfy with him , actually really stressed out getting actual indication of others loving him

Kel -> basil- in love with basil. He idealizes starting a family or being with someone because of loneliness, and how his father and mother relationship. Problems is not knowing basil enough, and basil intentionally hiding info about himself form kel because don’t want to hurt him or think they will keep this way and kel passion will fade . They are really nice to each other . Kel just always thought he love basil and whatever happened he just wanted basil happiness (so if sunny and basil became a thing, good for them) it actually goes more and more neutral till the day he got heartbroken

Omori ->basil-not much opinion, good food and interesting, noting beyond that, also not letting sunny be with basil is what sunny deserves

Omori->sunny- (middle finger if he could) think sunny a cat and too indecisive, don’t really want to care about him but they sadly share a body, actually still listen to sunny wishes, even though he won’t admit, really rough ways but he is the one trying to take care of sunny , he is very hungry

Basil ->omori- the more straightforward person that is alike sunny, acts more childish, wants to take care

Kel-> sunny- respectful and sorry for him, best friend, actually someone who understands him, and plays with him sometimes(kel -wow i thought I was childish, never know your too) deep bond

Aubrey-> sunny- respectful (not saying, and just a bit fan girl, just a tiny bit) sunny and Aubrey is more like study group or teacher student for my blue prints, yet to be finished

Kel-> Aubrey- friend, got tempter but funny and nice to talk to, sometimes wisdom sometimes just fooling around, helping her with her stuff

Hero-> kel- deeply sorry but don’t know how to fix their relationship after he been avoiding the problem, busy doing other stuff to occupy his goalless life, he isn’t really trying to fix it because he’s really busy, everything in his life seems perfect besides himself and the incident he hurts kel

Kel -> hero- it hurts a bit but get a life on his own, happy to see his bother succeed, feel like he needs to be happy about his current life but has difficulty to communicate with hero, he knows but he doesn’t know how to
