fanfic writer psa: If you are going to use a number to describe a character's weight, first google how much people weigh. Because I have yet to see a number that isn't off by like. 30 pounds at least. I once saw a fic describe Izzy Hands as 110lbs soaking wet and bestie, my five foot zero aunt weighs more than that. Aziraphale is not 150. In no universe does he weigh less than me, a skinny 20something who is shorter than him. Ya'll please
#just a pet peeve#but also#why would you use a number in any context without first checking if it is a plausible number#you are inviting nitpicks#especially when its the weight kf a real human actor with googleable height and stuff

Summary: If there was one thing Rhys was well aware of, it was that his life expectancy as a kingpin was a short one. Unless he wanted his uncle seizing power the moment he bled out, he was in need of an heir. An Alpha heir at that.
The only way he could guarantee such a thing was by breeding an omega, a designation nearly extinct in the world they lived in. Regardless, he would acquire oneâno matter how unconventional his means may be.

Chapter III
Feyre
Feyre had free run of the place, though Rhys was only tucked away in his office when he wasnât glued to her side. Whatever work he did seemed to be remote for the time being. And even if he had left the property, heâd informed her of a half dozen security measures in place, both to keep intruders out and her locked in.
The second day of her captivity she explored the upper level of the house, first finding a small home library. A cozy chair had been placed beside the single window to allow natural light suitable for reading. The second was a game room, set up with a variety of consoles and a large shelf of cards and board games. Tucked into the corner was a large whiteboard with several groups of tallies and number sequences she couldnât begin to decipher without any context to the game. Beyond that was a third and fourth bedroom decorated in warmer colors than the down stairs. A full bath at the end of the hall completed the second story.Â
âFind anything entertaining?â Feyre jolted, a hand pressed to her chest as sheâd always been easily startled. âItâs alright, darling. I just need you to come downstairs for a few moments.â She cocked her head. âJust come downstairs, Feyre.â Hearing someone shuffling on the hard floor below them, she retreated a step. Sheâd thought they were alone. âI donât want to have to repeat myself, Feyre.â
âWho is that?â
His eyes softened slightly, probably realizing she was more nervous than obstinate at the moment. She didnât like him, but at least she knew his intentions for her.
âDarling, sheâs the doctor I mentioned yesterday. Sheâs just going to check you over and make sure youâre healthy.â
âThereâs nothing wrong with me,â she hissed back.
He gave a heavy sigh before scooping her up once more and carrying her down the flight of stairs, not seeming slowed in the slightest by her struggling. âEnough, little girl,â he growled when they reached the ground floor. âOr youâll earn yourself that punishment I mentioned yesterday.â His tone and expression flipped in an instant. âMadja, thank you for coming on such short notice.â
âOf course. I see we have a shy one here.â
âOnly with doctors, it seems.â
She blushed, shuffling away from Rhys when he finally set her down. âI didnât go often. As a child.â
The woman smiled. âPerhaps we could do most of this from your nest. If that would help?â Seeing she wasnât getting out of this, Feyre nodded. âVery good. Shall we begin?â ~~~~~
Rhysand
âWell?â He asked the moment Feyre was out of earshot.
âThereâs nothing major to be concerned with. She needs several hearty meals and daily vitamins, but sheâs otherwise healthy.â He nodded. âAre you going to ask me what youâre truly wondering?â He raised a brow, waiting. âI didnât do anything invasive, seeing as she was so nervous, but considering she hasnât been to a doctor in years and sheâs spent the last few weeks in the conditions he has I wouldnât think she had any sort of birth control at the moment.â
âThank you, Madja. The injection?â She offered him a small bottle and syringe, frowning all the while. âDonât start.â
âWhen you find yourself wondering a year or two down the road why your omega still loathes you, remember what I told you.â
âI pay you for your service, Madja, not your lectures.â
It was unfair of him, seeing as the woman had served his family since before he was born, but he wouldnât be swayed in his decision.
âMake sure the muscle is relaxed for the injection. And for Godâs sake, get her another meal before she goes into her heat.âÂ
Rhys ground his teeth. He was going to keep the girl fed and healthy. Happy was to be determined, but he was more than capable as a provider. âThank you, Madja. Have a good evening.âÂ
Opening the door, he saw her out, stepping outside himself when he saw Azrielâs car coming through the gate. âSo Iâm the errand boy now?â he asked, stepping out of the car. âI take it this means you have a sweet little omega tied to your bed right now?â
Rhys accepted the necklace box from his brother with a soft chuckle. âI have an omega. I havenât gotten around to any bondage yet. Too skittish still. The good doctor just read me the riot act about the injection.â
âDoctors have to keep some of their morality, even working with the likes of us. Donât let it bug you. Once you mark the girl, does anything else really matter?â
He huffed. âSheâs something else, Az. Skittish, yeah, but sheâs got some serious fire once she shoves that fear down. Stubborn as a mule. Sure omegas naturally fall in the brat category, but Feyre⊠sheâs something else.ïżœïżœïżœ
âSounds like youâre already catching feelings for her. What happened to getting a couple kids out of her and then keeping your distance? No weaknesses, right?â
Rhys shook his head, pushing off the wall and reaching to open the door. âEasier said than done, brother. Youâre welcome to come in, but I wonât be making conversation for the next several days.â
He chuckled. âNot willing to share your new pet?â
He didnât bother answering, already at the end of the foyer. Feyre was exactly where he expected her to be, curled up in her nest and pouting at him. He wouldnât feel guilty, he told himself. Not for making sure she was healthy, especially seeing as her parents didnât care to. What else had they neglected when it came to their daughter?
âDonât give me that look, Feyre darling. This was for your good as much as my peace of mind. Itâs nearly one,â he continued, crouching outside of the rudimentary nest and reaching to stroke his thumb down her cheek. âWeâll get you something to eat before anything else comes around.â
âIâm not hungry.â
âA hunger strike wonât help you, Feyre. And I guarantee Iâm more stubborn than you are. Would you prefer to eat downstairs or here in your nest?â
Heâd earned the cold shoulder it seemed. âYouâre going to let me take care of you, little girl, orââ
ââor else. Youâre just all talk, arenât you? Is there ever any follow through?â
He didnât bother trying to hide his shock at her demand. âFeyre darling, you just earned that follow through.â ~~~~~
Feyre
Well fuck.Â
Feyre didnât know what she expected to happen when she snapped back. But she was sick of his threats and sick of his face. She was especially sick of the bastardâs hold on her. His scent, his magnetism.Â
More than all of that, she was sick and tired of trying to puzzle out and shut down the quiet acceptance deep inside of her. That pathetic little voice that told her to trust him last nightâthat was now telling her she had earned a punishment. That he was her alpha and knew what she needed. What she couldnât admit to herself.
Rhys gripped her elbow, pulling her to her feet and guiding her to the bed. She was over his lap a moment later, burying her face in the soft sheets to hide her flushed cheeks. There was no point in fighting him, but it was still humiliating.Â
She whimpered when he tugged her waistband down to her knees. Her bikini cut panties could hardly be considered proper coverage. Clamping a hand down at the nape of her neck immediately put an end to her anxious wriggling. âIâm sorry.â
âFacing punishment, Iâm sure you are.âÂ
The hand at the back of her neck slid down to rest between her shoulder blades, keeping her upper body in place. The first crack came down on her backside, the sting blooming slowly enough to give her hope this wouldnât be as intense as she feared. Another half dozen swats proved her wrong, though.
Considering the strength heâd already displayed whilst manhandling her the past two days, she was starting to suspect this was more likely a warm up than the full force he intended for her punishment. Not to mention the thin fabric of her underwear did nothing to soften each blow.
A heavier strike came down on the tender skin beneath the curve of her ass and she whimpered, nails biting into his jeans even as she felt a damp spot forming in her panties. She could not be turned on by this cruelty. âRhys.â He paused, clicking his tongue when she tried to cover herself. âI canât.â
âDo I need to pin you?â Not a threat, but an offer. Because if she started covering herself or gave into the urge to start kicking as an outlet for her pain her punishment would only go on longer.Â
âYes,â she choked, head dropping back down to the silken sheets.Â
Rhys shifted their position, trapping her legs between his own before stroking her hair softly. âYouâre doing well, sweet girl.â
Hardly high praise, but it settled something inside of her all the same. He gathered her wrists to hold them at her tail bone and she braced for the next strike. Another five and she was on the brink of tears. âPlease,â she whined. âPlease, Rhys. Iâll be good.â
He was silent for a moment, finally caving. âI suppose weâll see if that holds true, wonât we?â She clamped her legs shut the moment his parted to release her. âNow whatâs this?â
It was embarrassing, how easy it was for Rhys to put her on her back and strip her pants before forcing her legs open. He dragging his fingers over the soaked cotton covering her slick core, groaning softly. âOh, sweet girl youâre soaked for me.â
âNo,â she whined.
âThese panties tell another story. Been bratting me since we met, hoping for me to punish you, hm? Or maybe you thought Iâd fuck the brat out of you. Is that it, darling? Aching for Alphaâs cock?â
âNo!â
Her protests were useless, tears unacknowledged as he tore what clothing remained on her and unzipped the front of his pants, unbothered by the rest of his. âKnow just how to get my omega relaxed for her medicine,â he growled at her throat. Catching her hands, he pinned them above her head, using his free hand to stroke his hard length. âWould have stretched this pretty cunt for you. But you just had to fight me.â
And then he was pushing into her. Teeth clenched, Feyre sobbed at the painful stretch, feet scrabbling against the slick sheets as she made a pitiful attempt to escape him. âTight, hot little cunt. Your first time and you take Daddy so well.â She shook her head. âThatâs enough now. This is what naughty pets earn.â
âPlease. Itâs too much. It hurts.â She didnât care what she was doing to his ego if it got him to stop trying to tear her in half. âItâs too much.â
He  made a soft sound low in his throat before biting into her neck and thrusting deeper. âIt wouldnât be much of a lesson if it felt good, would it? All little girls need to be taught to respect authority. Itâs just a shame it took so long for that lesson to reach you, my Feyre.â His eyes flicked up to the headboard. âIâm going to let go of your hands. Youâre going to keep them right where they are so I donât have to tie you down.â
âYes.â He raised a brow and she shrank a little. âYes, Alpha.â Grabbing a pillow with one hand, he raised her hips with the other to wedge it beneath her. Bending down, he pressed his mouth to hers. Not in any sort of tender, toe-curling kiss like sheâd read about. But to silence her scream when he forced her to take everything short of his knot. Feyre didnât dare try to bite him, though she wanted to desperately.Â
God, she was never going to adjust to the girth of him inside of her. Thats when she noticed the pain had shifted, the sharpness fading when his hips stilled for a moment. Before, he was being dramatic while assessing her arousal, but now was another story. She was dripping around him, slick coating her thighs and the sheets beneath. She whimpered, mortified when she realized how close she was to comingâwalking that tightrope of pain and pleasure, but Rhys only hummed again, reaching down to rub at her clit. A few sharp thrusts of his hips as he licked into her mouth and she fell over the edge.Â
His kiss did turn softer then, his tongue pushing past her teeth once again to flick across her own as he worked her down from her high. She kissed him back. Shaky, clumsy, but he seemed pleased all the same. âThere you are. I knew you could be taught your place. Little omega, all drippy for me. Weâre going to remember this lesson, arenât we, Feyre?â She nodded, swallowing hard when she felt his knot graze her sensitive clit.
âMy perfect little cock sleeve.â She shivered, letting the word rattle around with the few snippets of thought she was capable of. She was a smart girl, but she was so full right now, still a little dazed from her orgasm. Thinking so much always ended up with her talking back. Having finally earned his praise, she didnât want to think about why that word was supposed to bother her right now.Â
âLook at you. Wet little girl. Gonna have to keep you nice and full if it gets you this sweet.â He groaned the next time he pushed into her. âAlright, sweetheart. Youâre going to take my knot now.â
âI-I canât.â
âOh, pet. Take a breath. Just a little more, sweet girl. You were made to take my knot.â A catch, then a shock of pleasure. âNot so bad, hm?â His voice was strained, likely due to how she clenched around him on reflex. Finally, something that told her he was somewhat affected by all of this. âGood girl. Such a good girl.â
Once sheâd taken his knot, it was easier to adjust to the constant in and out. To accept the slow swelling that would be locked into her body in a matter of seconds. With the constant friction of his thumb against her clit she knew that would be the final straw. Finally, his rhythm faltered, a hiss escaping his clenched teeth.Â
âFuck.â
She keened when he jerked forward, mind and body left in fragments as she surrendered to that second wave of pleasure, instinctively clenching down the second his knot locked behind her pubic bone. âOh.â
âFucking hell,â Rhys growled, spilling inside of her.
A man of few words, in this state at least. She wouldâve laughed if she didnât feel so untethered from reality. Surely once the swelling reduced, he would pull out. Sheâd be in her right mind again and could retreat to her little corner.
Something clicked together about halfway down the bed, but Feyre was exhausted between stressing over the doctor and what she and Rhys had done to be inquisitive at the moment. Sheâd only rest a minute.Â
âGood girl,â he murmured. His purr  washed over her as quickly as the night before, settling her mind and body alike. âJust a pinch, love.â
She furrowed her brow. But by the time she could gather enough of her consciousness to comprehend what he was saying, the needle was in her thigh. She jerked away as best she could, bound as they were, but the empty syringe said enough about what kind of trouble she was in.
âYouâNo!â
âItâs already done, darling.â Shifting his hips slightly to test the swelling, Rhys finally pulled out of her. The bastard looked all too pleased with himself. âGo finish your nest, little one. On the floor or the bed, I donât care. But youâll regret going into your heat with it unfinished.â
âI hate you,â she hissed, barely able to see past the fresh tears welling in her eyes.
âI know, darling.â He buttoned his pants, smoothing out his suit before sitting on the edge of the bed and stroking her hair back from the damp skin of her face. She flinched away when he went as far as to try to kiss her brow. âNow do as you were told.â

So here's a thing I wish I could put on my main blog, or post on my Facebook, but I think all it would do is make me feel even more miserable and alone.
So, I consider myself Jewish and always have. That's my cultural and ethnic heritage on my dad's side of the family, the only family I grew up with. Yes, patrilineal, but I'm still Jewish. My dad's grandparents fled pogroms in Ukraine and came to the US as deeply traumatized people seeking survival. You can see the repercussions of that recent history in the generations that followed them. For the past few years, I've been actively working to find my place in that history and that heritage, because it's a part of who I am and who I will always be, and I want to be able to be part of it in return. That's my personal context.
When a terrorist group murdered and kidnapped a bunch of civilians last October, I was horrified. When a far-right extremist government retaliated by slaughtering an unthinkable number of civilians, I was horrified. I contacted my own politicians, I donated what money I could spare, I wept at the nightmare that was playing out.
I continue to be horrified as the inhumanity continues, at the sheer scale of tragedy and terror. I wish I had any power to stop it, and I do the small things I can to try to help alleviate suffering.
But you know what else has horrified me? The way my so-called allies, the leftists, the social justice warriors, have responded. I'm lucky that I could grow up without hate being thrown my direction (perhaps because people where I grew up did not know I was Jewish despite my very Jewish last name), but I am aware of what Jew-hate looks like. And I have been seeing people I thought I could trust now wallowing in variations of centuries-old hatred without questioning it, believing outright lies that can be easily disproven with even the most superficial fact-checking, listening to people who wish to do harm, and reducing a complex situation to the stark black-and-white, good-versus-evil conflict from a bad young adult novel.
I'm still going to hope for peace. I'm still trying to contribute what I can to help victims of violence and war.
But, speaking frankly, I don't trust a lot of people anymore and I probably never will. There is no place for me in leftist social justice communities.
I don't know why people have hated Jews for so long, except that I suppose it feels good to have someone else to blame your problems on. But people really truly do hate Jews, and they really truly have for a very long time with unthinkably tragic consequences, and there are modern groups who are absolutely thrilled to be able to bring newcomers into their circles of Jew-hate in the guise of fighting for justice.
And so many of the people I thought were my friends are following them into it without a second thought.
I am disappointed. I am betrayed. I am hopeless.
And I guess I'm pretty damn alone, because I am sure as hell not going to align myself with people whose values are in opposition to my own just because the leftists are also showing their hate.
It breaks my heart.
I'm posting this on my secret sideblog because, I don't know, I've been reading Jumblr for months now and it often helps me feel less alone and I suppose I am reaching out a hand asking if anyone else will be willing to take my hand and tell me I am not alone.
We are not a monolith, I know some of you feel differently from me in either direction, but I know at least some of you feel like I do and even those of you who don't fully align with me will still not smear me with hatred.
Tomorrow I am going to my first ever Rosh Hashanah service and I have been doing my best to prepare and I want to be proud, I want to be joyful, I want to embrace hope for a brighter new year and I want to shout to the rooftops that my people are beautiful and our traditions are beautiful and isn't it wonderful that I am able to step back where I belong among them, but instead I want to weep.

More questions
Why is the minimum length 10,000 words?
For some of you, this might be your first Reverse Big Bang. (Or your first Bang in general. Welcome!) Weâd like to offer some context as to why this yearâs word count minimum is, and will remain, 10K.
First: the event has already started, and artists have signed up in good faith knowing they will receive at least 10,000 words about their idea. We donât think itâs fair to change that with so many people already signed up.
Second, as we say in our FAQ, Big Bangs traditionally focus on a longer time frame to produce longer fics and more arts of higher quality all around. The first ever Big Bang event had a fic minimum of 50,000 words! (Check out the history of the event) Most Bangs actually have higher targets; in many bigger and older fandoms, a Bang with a 10,000 limit would be called a âMini-Bangâ. We think that 10K is a reasonable target to produce a story (rather than just a scene) without asking too much of writers, whether itâs a traditional Bang or a Reverse one.
Third - and most importantly - what artists are providing in their concept is more than just a sketch. Artists will be coming in with ideas about the story that they want to tell with this art. An RBB works just like a BB - there is a story to be told with art that goes with it - itâs just this time, the artists get to come up with the ideas. Then writers and artists work together to make it happen.
Artist concepts are meant to be flexible, because this is a team event (rather than âorder up fic on demandâ), and artists may have more than one idea for their sketch that their author can choose from. Writers have over three months to come up with their story â thatâs around 100 words per day, for those of you that like math. And, from the mod point of view, last year not a single person worried about hitting the word count once the ideas were out and the event started. Thereâs a lot to be said about excitement and momentum!
The mod team is considering a reduced wordcount for writers who pick up more than one art concept. However, because we expect fics to tell a story about the artistâs idea, we are unlikely to go lower than 7,000 words if we do decide to do so. We apologize if this makes you decide not to participate, and encourage you to find other events that arenât Bangs to have fun with!
We realize writers are nervous about this event because Reverse Bangs arenât as well-known. We encourage you to hang in there and give your artists a chance â there are so many good ideas coming your way!
What happens if we donât have enough writers?
An RBB depends on the numbers more than a traditional Bang. We canât make the numbers match (although weâre trying). So while artists are still allowed to submit two ideas, if we remain short on writers, we will only be able to guarantee one will be claimed, although we will match as many as possible. Sometimes, ideas surprise us and writers suddenly decide they want to grab more than one.
So what happens to any unclaimed concepts? Well, surprise! A month or so after we match up our teams, weâll take all of the unclaimed ideas and release them to be claimed again, either by writers who have made more progress than expected and want to grab another prompt, or backup writers that feel like stepping in. In this case, since these ideas will have a shorter completion time, the maximum word count for fics will be lowered to 4,000 words. The standards for the arts will be comparably lower as well, due to the shorter time frame.
This part will be much more lax than the formal event, so expectations can be adjusted accordingly. We canât guarantee your second art can be claimed, but weâre hoping with a wider pool and lower requirements, we can make everybody happy.
This accomplishes a number of things for us: artists that submitted two ideas get two fics, writers that canât commit to the 10K requirement still have a chance to grab something, and all of us get more works at the end of the Bang. The mods think the additional work is worth the effort.
(This is not a chance to submit more than two arts â we will only be using art that wasnât able to be claimed in the initial submission. Sorry!)
For more updates, to ask questions of your own, or even if you just want to hang out (and maybe consider picking up an art to do a 4k word fic without having to formally join the Bang), join the discord.

EVERY NUMBER FOR YORU PRETTY PLEASE AND THANK U WITH A CHERRY on top
(äșșïŸâïŸ)
Hi Anon! Sorry for the late reply, I literally went to bed a few minutes after reblogging that ask game post! đŹ
Phew every number for Yoru? Okay, this might be a challenge and a lot, so I hope I won't hit the character limit. :D
1. Why do you like or dislike this character?
Well, I like Yoru because we basically witnessed her growing up and evolving into the person she is today â with all the ups and downs. Besides the obvious that since SPPF is so dear to me, so is Yoru. I "dislike" a few things about her, too - she is not without fault (perfect characters are boring imo). Though understandable from her POV, I dislike that she's self-deprecating and tends to blame stuff on herself. She needs to realizes a few things along the road, I suppose :)
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
Her love for her family, friends, and the cats. Also, she can be snippy and funny at times :)
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
See question 1 :D Also, I don't like that she sees her scars as something ugly. Understandable, since it's more about what they represent for her, but: Yoru, honey? Once Eri comes around, you better check your outlook on scars, or you're gonna screw Eri up with your mindset. Please don't do that.
4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?
Oh, I would love to do crossovers to other shows. Like, there could be a freak quirk accident or something. I would like to see her in AOT (more trauma, yay!), Saiki K would be fun, too. JJK would be too big of a project (not that the others are realistic for me to do). Other than that, it would be hilarious to have some MHA characters get isekai-ed into our "real" reality. Harry Potter would kind of be fun, too.
5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?
Well, the ringtone Shota has set for her, but you guys don't know the song yet (though it's secretly hidden in the prequelđ€«) but other than that it's hard to decide - I've got multiple spotify playlists for SPPF, but I think a song that fits Yoru well is The Killing Kind by Marianas Trench. She feels haunted by her past, especially what happened to her parents. It might also make a bit more sense in the future.
youtube
The first song to pop into my head would be her lullaby or the song Mine is writing for Yoru: Dark Night (When Dark Means Light)
Other songs fit her incredibly well, too, but I think they would spoiler a lot. :)
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
I think I subconsciously put a little bit of me in a few characters, really. One thing I have in common with Yoru, physically, are scars. We're also both in therapy lmao BUT I think we're both funny
7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?
Well, "fandom" in this context, I would say are the SPPF readers :D I love, love, LOVE when people make fanart for Yoru!
8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
Literally nothing :D I love them all.
9. Could you be roommates with this character?
oh, for sure :D I think we'd vibe and play video games together often. Though, I think she's normally a very neat and tidy person (it's how she was brought up) and I'm not super tidy, so she might be annoyed with me :'(
10. Could you be best friends with this character?
I'd hope so :D
11. Would you date this character?
considering she's a teenager, and I am an adult: nope :D But, if I were around her age, sure. I would be scared of her Dad, though lmao
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Literally most of the head canons are already in SPPF. One thing that's happening off-screen, though is that Shota and Yoru use the same shampoo. No idea what you're all supposed to do with this information, though hahah
13. What's an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot?
â« đ lmao this one for her quirk and regarding what I think she'd use a lot? I think she communicates in memes a lot hahah
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
See >> this post << :)
15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)
lmao take a wild guess!!
16. What's your least favorite ship for this character?
I don't think we have anybody shipping Yoru (romantically) with anyone but the Boomerâąïž
17. What's a ship for this character you don't hate but it's not your favorite that you're fine with?
See 16 :)
18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?
Her friendship with Toshi! Todoroki and Midoriya, too â as well as the girls â especially Mina.
19. How about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?
Kitsumi. Can't stand the guy. Ugh. Samu, too.
20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?
Mhm possible best friends besides the obvious and previously mentioned ones? I think she and Jiro would get along well :) Tokoyami, too - but Yoru is sort of distancing herself from him after the sports festival. She's too afraid to rope him and Dark Shadow into her bullshit.
21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?
To answer the first question: everything. Second question: since it's from her POV, it can often be unreliable. Stuff she sees as a fact, might not be the case at all. It's human nature, though.
22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to ths character? Something you don't like?
No idea how to answer this one :D
23. Favorite picture of this character?
ALL THE FANART
24. What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?
Well
Her Dad
They're more alike than they know, and they don't like it when the other behaves/thinks the way they do (for example: blame themselves for just about everything)
From another fandom? She has the abandonment issues and dead parents in common with Toru Honda. Seems they're both into tsunderes, too :D
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
First impression: She's a survivor.
Now: She's a survivor.
26. What's something the character has done you can't get over? Be it something funny, bad, good, serious, whatever?
Funny: Yoru and Toshi kissing and the whole "The Talk" situation with her Dad that followed after
Bad: What she said to Shota after the practical exam. That hurt Shota A LOT.
Good: Her birthday gift for Toshi
Serious: Almost (unknowingly and accidentally) killing fucking All Might lmao
Thank you, Anon! It was actually easier than I thought, I expected to have a difficult time with a few questions :)

A review of the 2025 Forgotten realm UA Subclasses
Hi there~! It's been a while, sorry about that, i'm. Never the less, I wanted to give a quick review of the latest subclasses coming to 5e, curtosy of the new Forgotten Realms Subclass UA that was released just today. In this write-up, I plan on giving my thoughts on each of the subclasses, what I like, dislike, all of that jazz. With that out of the way, let's start with the first of the new subclasses.
College of The Moon Bard
The first new subclass in this document is the College of The Moon Bard, which can best be described as what would happen if a druid and bard had a baby, you sing of primal tales and use them to bolster your allies, thematically it's nothing groundbreaking, but it's fine enough.
Both 3rd-level features are already, getting druidic (The useless little shit) a druid cantrip and a skill proficiency is neat, Moonshae tales is decent, I like both Tale of life and Tale of gloam, not so much with tale of mirth cause I swear at least 3 bard subclasses have a "Subtract a roll equal to your bardic inspiration die" feature now. I don't know why it takes a whole action to activate since the creation bard got a similarish feature at the same level just by using bardic inspiration without needing to use an action first, but the feature overall is okay. Blessing of the Moonwells seems decent enough, being able to grant 2d4 temp hit points when someone fails its save against moonbeam is a good enough upgrade (At least the Moon bard gets moonbeam, unlike a certain sorcerer subclass). And Bolstered folktales is alright, it acts similar to the swords bard capstone letting you roll a d6 for tale of life and gloam rather than spending a inspiration die, and it lets you teleport up to 30 feet with tale of mirth, decent effects all around, not a bad final feature.
Overall thoughts on the subclass. It's meh
Knowledge Domain Cleric
Our next subclass isn't new in the context of 5e, but rather a revised version of the knowledge domain subclass from the 2014 PHB (Though this version is basically a new subclass). I hate that people are gonna have to buy the subclass all over again, but there's not much I can do bout that. Let's get onto reviewing the subclass.
For starters, the subclass gets way more domain spells than any other getting a total of 15 spells (Essentially 3 per level), granted, a lot of the spells gained are more out-of combat utility spells but still, I guess it fits the knowledge aspect but damn. As if that weren't enough, their mind magic feature allows them to expend a use of channel divinity to cast one of their domain spells without components, which means you can get free castings of command, dispel magic, arcane eye, banishment, confusion, and synaptic static, which is really good. To round off 3rd-level you also gain proficiency in one artisan tool and expertise in your choice of Arcana, History, Nature, or Religion, those checks might not come up super often but I am not gonna complain about getting two skills to expertise on a cleric. Moving on from the roller coaster of 3rd-level features, unfettered mind is a pretty good, telepathically communicating to a Wisdom mod number of creatures is nice, and being able to use your Wisdom score as the result of an Intelligence check is pretty situational but still appreciated. Divine foreknowledge is also really good, advantage on all d20 tests for 1 hour as a bonus action, that can also be used again by expending a level 6+ spell slot is nice, thematically the abilities kind of weak and miss some of the cool thematic elements of the previous version, but I will concede that the new version is way stronger combat wise.
Overall thoughts, yeah this subclass got a glow-up compared to its 2014 counterpart, and it largely keeps a lot of the thematic elements present on the old version. It might border on being a bit too strong? But for what it is, it's a good revision, Next subclass.
Purple Dragon Knight Fighter
Similar to our previous subclass, the purple dragon knight isn't new in the context of 5e, this one originating from the ever-infamous Sword Coast Adventurers Guide (Scag for short). The subclass was intented to turn your fighter into a commander type, rallying your allies as they fought alongside you. But the subclass was hampered because all of its features relied on your existing fighter features. Like the Knowledge domain before, this subclass is basically something entirely new, it's now the fighter version of Drakewarden for lack of better words, you get a dragon companion that fights alongside you and you can later mount, it's interesting enough, hopefully it'll be better than the original (Spoilers, it is).
Knightly envoy is fine, a free language and ritual spell is neat, the purple dragon companion itself is pretty decent, interestingly enough it acts during your turn, rather than after like the beast masters pet or the summon spells (which makes it work better as a mount) the dragon also has a gravity breath weapon that can push people, which is not bad Dragon rider is nice cause it not only lets you actually ride your dragon companion, but also improves its breath attack, and causes it to regain hit points and a use of gravity whenever you use second wind. Rallying surge is really cool, allowing three allies to either move without provoking opportunity attacks or make an attack as part of action surge is phenomenal, amethyst pinnacle is largely decent, but I wish the tandem attacks were part of the base feature or came at much earlier levels, cause forgoing your own attacks to have your dragon attack is so cool! I just wish it didn't come online near the end of your characters career. Unfortunately this subclass ends out not with a bang, but with a wet fart, while you and your dragon gaining resistance to force and psychic damage is cool, it sucks that the capstone is so, nothing.
Final thoughts on the subclass, it's definitely a marked improvement over the original. But I kind of miss the battlefield commander idea it had going on, which is only present in two of the subclass features. Besides that nitpick I think this version of PDK is good, a dragon rider fighter is always cool. Funnily enough this subclass arguably does a better job at being a dragon rider than than the drakewarden did, but maybe that's discussion to have later. Next subclass.
Oath of The Noble Genies Paladin
We now take a break from the revised subclasses and move on to an entirely new one for the paladin, this subclass is based around revering the elemental planes and wielding the power of the D&D genies. The thematic is rather unique, but it does feel funny to have a genie paladin in 2024 before reprinting the genie warlock. But enough dilly-dallying, lets get to reviewing it.
The oath spells all around are pretty good, with the obvious highlight of you getting the ever broken Conjure Minor Elementals, it's also neat you get the Elementalism cantrip as a bonus. Elemental smite is rather expensive, requiring both a use of divine smite and a channel divinity, but the effects are pretty good (Especially Marids Surge). Aura of Elemental protection is really good, resistance for yourself and all allies within your Aura of Protection is already nice, but being able to swap the resistance at the start of each turn is what really sells me on this feature. Elemental Rebuke is strong but boring, halving damage taken and possibly dealing 4d10 + charisma modifier to an attacker is good, it's unironically better than some of ranger capstones that do a similar effect. The capstone is really fucking good-potentially bordering on overpowered, being able to use your reaction to turn any failed d20 test into a success is massive, even more-so cause you can keep doing this for up to 10 minutes, and like the other 2024 paladin capstones, you can use this ability again if you spend a 5th-level slot, I don't think I can underestimate how strong this feature is.
Final thoughts for the genie paladin. This subclass is really good, the genie theming is really interesting and its features are consistently strong, the biggest gripe I have with the subclass might be noble scion just due to how strong it is, but otherwise, I love it. Next subclass.
Winter Walker Ranger
Moving from one half caster to another, we arrive at the Winter Walker ranger, which is a subclass about braving frigid tundras and taking on those that'd dwell within such regions. I love what this subclass is doing right off the bat, more elemental subclasses are always nice, and a tundra explorer ranger is a sick as hell idea, now how does it translate?
The spell list is alright, a lot of ice spells for obvious reasons, Pass without Trace is really good, I don't really get why is has Remove Curse besides curses being mentioned once at the very end of the subclass description, but I guess I'm not complaining, Frigid Follower is also nice, resistance to a fairly common damage type, on top of additional cold damage on weapon attacks (which ignores resistance) is always welcome. Hunters Rime hurts me, gives me psychic damage as one might say, the effects are nice, 1d10 + ranger level temp hit points is nice and an enemy being unable to disengage is nice, but it's tied to the infamous hunter mark spell, I might go more in depth about it later down the line but for a TLDR. Hunters mark requiring concentration in my opinion leads to either the ranger always using hunters mark, but missing out on the more powerful high-level ranger spells, or the ranger not using hunters mark, but then missing out on class features (Including you 20th-level capstone). Moving on from that, fortifying soul is kind of neat, being able to help your allies regain hit points between rests + granting them advantage against being frightened is cool, Chilling Retribution sounds nice, but (this might have changed with the new monster manual) at 11th-level more and more things are getting immunity to the frightened condition, so while the fail effect is strong, you might not get it off that often. Frozen Haunt pains me, being able to move through walls, gain immunity to cold damage and deal 2d4 cold damage at the start of each turns is good, and the flavor idea of turning into this ghost of winter but man, why is it tied to hunters mark??? Even flavor wise, how does you casting hunters mark transform you into a ghost.
Final thoughts on the subclass, As a whole, I love what the subclass wants to do. I love the theme, a lot of what it wants to present is cool, and hell, I think this subclass handles hunters mark usage better than the Beast master or hunter did, but it just sucks that two of the abilities rely on the use of that spell since you never have a way to cast it without concentration, I think if the capstone wasn't tied to hunters mark i'd be fine but man, it just sucks. With that rather bitter end to the subclass, maybe the next one can boost our spirits, which is.
Scion of The Three Rogue
The next subclass is the "Scion of The Three Rogue" which-as the name suggests, is for rogues that pledge alligence itself to the Dead Three: Bane, the god of tyranny. Bhaal, the god of murder and violence. And Myrkul, a god of death. As if the rogue couldn't get any edgier, but will this edge translate into dead enemies?
Bloodthirst is situational, but rather thematic, dealing additional damage to bloodied creatures is neat, good fight closer, the second part of the ability is also cool-being able to teleport and make a melee attack when someone dies, but I almost wish it was unlimited use, realistically, how often are you gonna get the effect to occur? The ability also becomes useless if you're fighting a solo boss, it's not even a bad effect, I just don't imagine it coming up enough to warrant a limited number of uses per day. You also align yourself with one of the dead three, which get you a cantrip + a damage resistance, it's nothing too big, but still neat to have. Strike Fear kind of sucks for it's level. All it does is give you a new cunning strike option to spend one die to attempt to frighten someone, at base I don't mind this but the fact that- due to the rouge subclass structure, it means you have to wait 6 levels to this feature, and that sucks. if it had another option in addition to the frighten it'd be nice but as it stand, yeah this isn't great. Thankfully Aura of Malevolence is better, dealing int modifier damage to creatures within 10 feet of you at the start of each turn is pretty good all things considered, it also ignores resistance too, so being aligned to Bhaal won't cripple your character (The aura deals poison damage if you're aligned with him, since the damage type is the same one you gain resistance too from Dread Allegiance). Dread Incarnate is a mixed bag all things considered, the advantage on attacks against frighted creatures probably won't come up that much at 17th-level, but treating any 1's or 2's as 3's when you roll damage for sneak attack is really nice, it basically means that, at minimum, your sneak attack will deal 27 damage (assuming you roll really low) at the level you gain this ability, and combine it with the Bloodthirst damage boost means you'll be really good at ending fights quickly, decent stuff all around.
Overall thoughts on the subclass. This is weakest subclass in this document (in my eyes). There's some good abilities here, but most of what this subclass offers feels rather niche. Also, while I haven't brought it up until now since all of these subclasses are very explicitly meant to be tied to the forgotten realms setting, I feel like this subclass is gonna be the toughest to translate to other campaign settings cause the subclass doesn't really have a strong theme beyond being tied to the dead 3, the only other theme I can think of is "Agent of evil god or "Make things deader" which, is already done by the Assassin and Phantom. While the scion of the dead three might have been dead on arrival, maybe the next subclass will do better.
Spellfire Sorcery Sorcerer
The next subclass is the Spellfire sorcery sorcerer (Try saying that three times fast) It's basically a more magicy sorcerer, with you gaining your powers directly from the weave (The forgotten realms source of magic) and using it to blow shit up and heal people. Thematically it sort of reminds me of the old phoenix sorcery subclass from the Unearthed Arcana, but how does it fair?
The spells provided are decent, it's an nice mix of blasting and restorative spells, Cure wounds, Lesser and Greater Restoration, Dispel Magic and Aura of Vitality are nice, the only real stinker on the spell list is Flame Strike, but I guess it fits? (For the record no, you don't get Fireball with this spell list), Spellfire burst is nothing too special, but still neat, an extra 1d6 damage or some temp hit points whenever you spend sorcery points is always welcome. Absorb Spells is really cool, having counterspell auto prepared and being able to regain sorcery points when someone fails its save against counterspell is cool, though I wonder why they didn't make it work with dispel magic since it's also on the spell list? Honed Spellfire is a decent enough increase to Spellfire burst, and lastly, Crown of Spellfire is a pretty good transformation capstone, getting evasion to magical effects is always nice and hey! Wotc finally remembered hit dice were a thing! Overall, not a bad capstone.
Final thoughts on the subclass. I like it, the mix of blasting and healing is interesting, I like how the subclass interacts with sorcery points, I love the thematic of absorb spell, and features overall are pretty decent. Not much more to say about it, it's just a really good subclass. Now we shall move onto our final subclass of today, which is.
Bladesinger Wizard
And the last of the subclasses within this document is a reprint of the Bladesinger wizard from Scag-and later reprinted within Tashas cauldron of everything, for those unaware, the Bladesinger is the Gish subclass of wizard (meaning a spell and sword type of character).
Compared to its Tashas counterpart (And the other revised subclasses in this document) nothing big changed about the Bladesinger, you lost the ability to use light armor, but can now use Intelligence when making attacks with melee weapons, and you can use them as a spellcasting focus. And Song of victory was changed to function like the 2014 Eldritch Knight version of war magic (You can make a weapon attack as a bonus action if you used an action to cast a spell) If my thoughts are correct and you could attack action, make an attack with your weapon -> cast a cantrip- > make a weapon attack as a bonus action then I'd gladly call this a buff, but if that isn't the case then this feature is okay.
Final Thoughts on the subclass, it's still the same old Bladesinger basically, some things got changed, I dunno if not being able to use light armor is that big of a deal due to Bladesongs existing boost to AC + spells like shield being a thing, the buffs are nice but I doubt they'll make anyone go "Omg the Bladesinger is OP now!" I'm scared to see how the new Bladesinger preforms with 2024 conjure minor elementals.
Final Thoughts
To close out this write up, I like most of the subclasses offered here. Granted, none of them make me want to jump out of my seat and beg my DM to let me try them, but they're all baseline decent, I generally like these subclasses more than the ones added with the 2024 PHB. Is there room for improvement? Absolutely! But for a rought 1st-draft of these subclasses, the team did an alright job with them. But what are your thoughts on these new subclasses? Let me know in the
With that, that's all I have to say in this post.Take care, and go make some D&D content.

The Cold war was a real intense conflict in which lots of people got killed and made sick. There was absolutely no restraint in the attacks, since it was so covert. America got entrapped a couple of times trying to break the cycle, it just got sucked in and now itself is turning into a conflict hot spot. Russia broke its back in Afghanistan and has been decrepit since. All of it relates to what is happening now.
Looks like WW3 was inevitable. There will be no WW4.

How to Make Money from Scrap Metal Recycling in SydneyÂ
Recycling scrap metals is definitely the best option for earning additional income while also supporting the environment! There is much scrap metal waiting around in people's homes, garages, and warehouses from which they could earn a penny or two dollars. Â
Interested in learning how Scrap Metal Recycling in Sydney can earn you some extra cash without breaking a sweat? Here is the guide that will help you turn unwanted metals into cash.Â
Determine What Metals Can Be Sold OutÂ
The first step in earning an income from scrap metals is to know which metals can give you the best price. Ferrous metals contain iron and steel and are found most readily, not very often valuable. Non-ferrous metals, however, are for example aluminum, brass, or copper that are worth a lot more money. Of all the types, copper is particularly very well priced because of its highly recyclable characteristics and a strong need from different industries.Â
Separating and Cleaning Scrap Â
It is important to separate and clean your scrap metal to add more value. Scrap metals need to be separated from copper and cleaned in order to fetch the highest price. It will also save you from added weight and inconvenient handling by removing nonmetal parts such as plastic or wood from scrap. Â

A Proper Vehicle for Transport Â
The next step is to have the right kind of vehicle for transporting the scrap metal to the scrap yard. In case the quantity of scrap being loaded is big, a pickup truck serves best as it facilitates easy unloading. For smaller amounts of scrap, a bike would do or a small trailer. The vehicle used should be able to withstand the weight being thrown into it and not suffer any damage.Â
Find an Authentic Scrap YardÂ
Not every yard will pay the same for scrap, so the investigation is important. Seek out scrap yards which may specialize in the metals you have. Some will pay better for non-ferrous metals, so call in advance or visit a few to find a good deal for yourself.Â
Weigh the ScrapÂ
Upon reaching the proper scrap yard, you will weigh your junk. Most scrap yards maintain a weighing facility that weighs your car in and out pre and post unloading. The amount of your payment will be the difference between the two weights. Look to weigh your scrap fully when unloading within the scrap yard so that your total quantity will be paid.Â
Getting PaidÂ
As an outcome of weighing and unloading, actual payments are made for scrap metal. The payment is, therefore, cash or check, instant or after some days, depending on the scrap yard. Fluctuating prices apply depending on their market demand and the price of metal. So, this is why the amount does not remain constant.Â
Thus, it can be concluded that Scrap Metal Recycling in Sydney would provide you with extra money for an individual and also improve environmental sustainability. There are a number of companies which purchase scrap metals at good rates. Hence, one needs to worry about the value of materials. If you need to sell scrap metal for some money, call Sydney Metal Traders now. Work with them for rates that are fair and services that enable you to sell scrap metals from the convenience of your place!Â

BITCHIN'!
I have internet that works without relying on my Windows-update-hamstrung wireless adapter that they never updated drivers for to get it to work right!
Functional context: My computer has a Atheros QualComm adapter that stopped working properly after a Windows update YEARS ago. Like, it'll connect usually when it first turns on, but if the computer goes to sleep or any other number of unknown things I've never been able to figure out happens, it'll suddenly stop being connected, consistently tell me "Can't connect to this network", and nothing I've ever been able to try would fix it.
Except rebooting the entire machine.
Problem is, some days, like today, it'll only stay connected to the internet for approximately 5 minutes after the reboot before disconnecting again, which requires me to save everything and close it down and reboot it. Every five minutes. The rebooting takes longer than the time I actually get to spend with a working internet connection.
I've been researching this issue for like six years, guys. I've tried all manner of device resets, network resets, rebooting the router, flushing/resetting the IP and DNS, changing the connection settings, changing the power settings, just. So many fucking things I've tried. And NOTHING fixed this.
So recently, I gave up on the WiFi. I bought an ethernet cable. A very... long... ethernet cable. (And despite running it around furniture and across the entire apartment, I still have about a quarter of it left! Heh. Whoops. It's Cat5E though so 70ft doesn't degrade the signal too much!)
I thought the cable I bought was bunk because I ran it through the house, plugged it into my computer, and checked the Settings.... only to see "Not connected". So I blew into the port, re-attached the cable, restarted my computer... No connection.
Then I went to check the router to make sure I had in fact plugged it into an ethernet port and not, I don't know, a telephone line port?
You know what I found?
I hadn't plugged it in at ALL. lD This is why you always check your cords before you fuck with settings, guys.
Because once I actually plugged it in, the router lit up with its little green ethernet light, and I went to check my computer, and it was CONNECTED!
It's not Quite as fast as the WiFi was, but I have the patience to tolerate a split-second of loading time. And I've never used ethernet with this laptop before; it's possible the adapter just needs to "warm up" a bit before it'll flow smoothly.
But I am SO very much looking forward to a life without internet randomly disconnecting. X)

Part 1
Masterlist
Series masterlist
Preview đ Part 2
Pairing: Syverson x ofc
Series summary: Life with Sy, what more can you wish for? The most amazing husband and father to a whole litter of cute little kids... Sometimes you wonder "how did you get here?"
Series warning: Eventual smut, for now, fluffy mcflufferson.
Word count: 900
A/N: Remind me to never promise @keanureevesisbae anything ever again. (Just kidding hun, I'm actually super grateful for the fun li'l Sy prompt â€ïžđ)
There's gonna be mistakes, because I had to make this a quick one...
âHi! You must be Sy!â God, this man was tall â at least 6â to your 5â1. And he smelled good â why did he have to smell good? You didnât have time for a man! You were just here as a favor to your friend. How did she know this guy, anyway? He looked older than you, early thirties to your mid-twenties.
âYeah, hey. Lara, right?â
âYes!â It was just one drink, you just had to keep it up for one drink.
One drink turned into two, into three, and eventually into four. You were in serious trouble here. Sy was easy to talk to, had a good job, he was easy on the eyes, and the fact that the stitches of the shirt he was wearing were clearly only hanging on by the grace of God did not hurt, either. The two of you talked about anything and everything; his job, your studies, family, pets, you name it. You learned he grew up on his granddadâs ranch in Texas, and that he would really love to own a home with enough land someday to have his own horses again â which led you to have a hard time concentrating for the next ten or so minutes while your brain decided it was very necessary to imagine this burly cowboy on a horse. It wasnât. Really. You could have done without that mental image. At least until you got home.
And then, the âcheck, pleaseâ-moment. He was annoyingly insistent on paying, and absolutely wasnât going to go along with your idea of splitting. Sy even went as far as saying that âgoing Dutchâ was a completely ridiculous idea, especially on a first date, but you paid him no mind. You can take the girl out of the Netherlands, but you canât take the Netherlands out of the girl. Nevertheless, your little kerfuffle about who was paying lead to you blurting out a combination of words youâd never heard yourself say in any dating-related context: âNext oneâs on me, then.â
âNext one, huh?â Sy smiled as if he approved of the idea. âI might have to get my hands on your number, then.â
You raised an eyebrow at him. That was not an actual question, and if this guy wanted your number he was going to have to do a lot better than this.
ââCourse I could ask Julie, Iâm sure she wouldnât mind, since she so kindly set us up today, but Iâd rather get it from you directly. What do you think?â
âI think, Sy, that you need to be a little more to the point,â you replied to what you considered the most cumbersome way of asking someone for their phonenumber. Ever.
âCan I get your number, Sugar?â You pretended to contemplate your answer for a while, which didnât sit very well with Sy. He took a step closer to you and repeated his question slower and in a lower register, both of which highlighted his accent in the cutest way. It was also vaguely threatening, which your body reacted to in ways you couldnât describe as anything other than high treason.
âY-yes,â you stammered as you felt a blush creep from under the collar of your blouse.
âThank you.â Sy suddenly smiled and the threatening air that had surrounded him a second ago, was gone immediately. âMay I walk you to your car?â
âJulie was going to pick me up,â you said without thinking about it.
âWell in that case,â Sy chuckled, âmay I offer you a ride home?â You were going to kill Julie. Oh, well. She absolutely would have come and pick you up if the date had been a disaster. And you guessed she knew Sy well enough to know he wasnât a total creep.
âThat would be great, thank you, Sy.â
You talked some more on the way home, which wasnât long, but youâre pretty sure you took a detour or two on the way there. Since you hadnât been living here for too long, you couldnât be completely certain. When you arrived at your house, you secretly hoped for just one more detour. Luckily, Sy got out of his truck to open your door for you, and insisted on walking you to the house. Sy squinted at you, clearly debating whether or not he should say something about the state of the house he was dropping you off at. Eventually he seemed to decide that whatever he had to say probably wasnât something you didnât already know.
âI had a great time tonight, Sy,â you said as you hugged him goodbye on the porch.
âMe too, Sugar,â Sy replied with a friendly hint of mischief in his eyes, âmind if I kiss ya?â You let him know that you didnât mind at all. As his lips came closer and your eyes slowly fell shut, it felt like the ground disappeared from beneath you. Because it did. Fuck! The floorboards of the porch had finally given out. Luckily, Sy was more than capable of keeping you upright and unharmed. He laughed as he put you back down in a place that looked sturdier than the one you were in before, and he pressed a swift but sweet kiss on your cheek. âMaâam, if you need any repairs on this death-trap of a house of yers, youâve got my number.â

this'll hopefully be my last and most conclusive post on the matter re:isshu(/ferriswheel)shipping discourse. please read this before sending me anything regarding the matter:
what masuda said in 2012 is not absolute word of god, or an unchallengeable truth- at least one person involved with bw's story writing has stated that the protagonists were intended to be 16. hilda and hilbert were advertised as being older than any previous protagonists, and n is, according to pash! magazine, 20 in the anime- during the same arc where cherens bw2 role + design is used.

also, pokemon itself isn't afraid to change around characters' ages to better fit their circumstances. anipoke serena, for example, is 10, while her game counterpart appears to be in her late teens. this is to say that while there is a definite, set range for a character's age to be within, ultimately no singular number is going to be universal.

the reason why i personally use 16 over 14 for the bw protag ages has to do with the contents of the actual game first and foremost. all things considered- unova taking inspiration from america where 16 is typically when coming of age occurs, cheren and bianca having adult designs and careers only two years later, and ns role as a narrative foil to the protagonist, 16 is the age that makes the most sense. to add to that, the protagonist and their friends are remarked to be on the cusp of adulthood at least twice in game:
there's also the matter of the protagonist and n's relationship itself. the two are, by all means, meant to both contradict and compliment each other, to act as inverted mirrors. n checks all the boxes for what would usually be considered a protagonist (his design, his narrative as a hero, obtainment of a box legendary- pretty much everything except being playable), and he has physical traits that mirror both hilbert and hilda. most importantly, he is canonically obsessed with the protagonist. he thinks that they are meant to be his counterpart, so much so that he wholly believes that they will be able to awaken the opposite dragon without issue. in bw2, he misses them deeply enough to linger in the place they last saw each other, and comment on how he wonders if they'll meet again, and that he wants to tell them how he feels.
then, on the protagonist's end, they literally drop EVERYTHING, leave behind all their friends and family, to search for n when he leaves. that's the only thing they do that we, the player, have no control over.
finally, although pokemon masters is noncanon material, there is just. so much. alluding to their dynamic leaning towards romantic. the best badge you can earn from their reunion event is "N-describable Love". n has dialogue where he indirectly states that he loves hilbert-

and hilberts well. hilbert

all these things would be INCREDIBLY uncomfortable and inappropriate if the audience was meant to see the two of them as definitively an adult and a minor. a two year max age difference just works the best in this context, and the ages of 16 and 18 have evidence to back them. i understand any apprehension and/or discomfort anyone may have with shipping them, and i'm also not going to tell you that you can't headcanon them with a different dynamic (because thatd defeat the whole purpose of pokemon and its encouragement of creative liberty) but this topic has much, much more to it than a glance at the first google result.
tl;dr : while masuda is a respectable source to draw from, his claim doesn't align with pash!, toshinobu matsumiya, or the marketing surrounding hilbert and hilda during bw's release, neither does it fit the story of bw without causing some very uncomfortable dynamics and scenarios. overall isshushipping/ferriswheelshipping is fine. who cares
#isshushipping#ferriswheelshipping#trainer hilbert#trainer hilda#n harmonia#pokemon#unova#text#also idk why blbpedia changed ns age from 18-20 in bw to just 20 in bw when the sources have stayed the same ??#is it because they lost the anime's source due to the original account being suspended and unarchived#even so the link to it is still there. whatever#and for clarification i am not a pro/shipp/er and would love to never interact with one. thank you#ok to rb

The "Unholy Trinity" and Other Catholic Imagery in Jujutsu Kaisen
First, everyone's all "Kenjaku this" and "Kenjaku that," but we're all forgetting that Kenjaku isn't our endgame villain. Sukuna is.
Anyway,
Akutami has tricked me. I was so focused on the Buddhist imagery that I didnât notice all the Catholic themes. Well played, Gege.
Akutami was born in Iwate, but moved to Sendai in the fifth grade. Sendai has a notable Catholic population, and Catholicism has been associated with it since 1613.
The Soul
The way that Mahito describes the correlation between body and soul during the Vs. Mahito Arc is distinctly Catholic. It pulls away from the Buddhist ideology we see a lot of in JJK.
In Catholicism, the body and soul are one. The shape of one influences the other. It's the same in JJK.
This ideology is very different from the Buddhist idea of Dharma. That's why the concept of reincarnation doesn't work from a Catholic perspective. Because if your body and soul are one, how can your soul reincarnate into another body?
In Catholicism, your body is not just "worldly flesh" that you can/should ignore or discard. It's sacred, just like your soul.Â
The Unholy Trinity
According to Christian tradition, the "Unholy Trinity" is made up of Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. It contrasts the "Holy Trinity" made up of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Stigmata
While I was watching D. Gray-Man, the Noah Clan's forehead scars stood out to me. They reminded me of Kenjaku's. I did some digging to see if they had a distinct meaning or purpose. And guess what? They're Stigmata!
I should have noticed earlier, as I'm nothing without my religious trauma.
In Catholicism, Stigmata are the appearance of bodily wounds in locations corresponding to the wounds of Jesus Christ. These wounds can appear on the hands, wrists, feet, and forehead. Kenjaku's forehead scar may be a reference to Stigmata. The placement correlates to Christ's wound from the Crown of Thorns, which Pontius Pilate meant to symbolize a false prophet.
Kenjaku's curse technique may be a reference to Christ. He "resurrects" when he takes over a new body.
If this is the case, these are the conditions I theorize his technique requires:
He must reach the body within six hours (the amount of time Christ spent on the cross) of the infliction of a mortal wound.Â
He must have three days (the number of days until Christ rose from the dead) to take over the new body.
The binding vow that the technique rides on requires the Stigmata. Stigmata are known to disappear after a person dies, so previous bodies would be unmarked.
I think itâs probably that Kenjaku is the False Prophet.
Daten (ć 怩 / "The Fallen One")
Okay, the official translation has Angel call Sukuna the "Disgraced" One, but "Fallen" is another way you can translate it. I choose the "Fallen" because in the context of Catholic/Christian angels, it has a specific meaning. It refers to demons or fallen angels, and, by extension, Satan himself.
Daten (ć 怩) is the word used by Japanese Christians to describe demons (i.e. fallen angels).
Sukuna has fire related powers, a reference to his namesake, but it could double as a reference to how angels are born from fire or the name Lucifer meaning light.
So, Sukuna is Satan. Therefore, heâs our ultimate enemy.
The Antichrist and Christ
I love Geto too, but heâs the only figure in JJK who checks a lot of boxes for being the Antichrist. Heâs also Gojoâs antithesis, and I think that Gojo is symbolically Christ.
âThe Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers... he will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian;â
Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
â3 Donât let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in Godâs temple, proclaiming himself to be God.â
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
â9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,â
2 Thessalonians 2:9
â8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.â
2 Thessalonians 2:8
The primary example of displays of power are when Geto frees people from cursed spirits. Geto amasses a following by posing as a sort of savior. Then, Gojo kills Geto, cementing his role as Christ.
Conclusion
So, in this analogy, Kenjaku is the False Prophet, Geto is the Antichrist, and Sukuna is Satan.
This theory might be nothing, but I wanted to throw it out there just in case.

^^^Someone needs to write it where Bradley does it on purpose and chickens out because I WANT TO READ IT...
In the meantime here is something I cooked up where Bradley is an idiot with a crush the size of Jupiter.
... ... ...
The first time it's a legitimate mistake, Bradley messaging his old college roommate Izaak with a picture and the comment being an in-joke about buying wings when they were hungover and promising marriage. He's a little hungover, eyes blurry, and it's not a wrong number exactly, but it's not the right one either.
Fuck.
He has to change Hangman's contact in his phone to actually Hangman and not Jake. What possessed him to put it in as Jake? It's right below Izaak in his contacts.
He changes it and then blinks in confusion. Without any other names starting with I it doesn't matter if he's entered as Hangman or Jake, his contact details are still right above or below Izaak's.
Regardless he messages Jake again and apologises for the message, saying he got it wrong. Fully expects him to take the piss next time they see each other.
Then he messages Izaak with the actual message and bemoans several things:
his hangover
his messaging Jake
the fact that Izaak isn't there to bring him greasy food and he had to leave his house to do it
Of course Izaak answers back almost immediately:
>>Jake the guy you've got a massive crush on?
Oh no.
No no no.
Bradley is not of sound mind and body right now and Izaak is going to be like a shark scenting blood in the water. Then his phone vibrates again and he peers down at it, realising Jake, no, Hangman has now messaged him back
**Wings and a wedding. Winning combo!
**Damn. Ah well. The wings look good. Enjoy.
Bradley blinks, because is that... flirting? Is Jake flirting with him? He screenshots it and sends it to Izaak along with a row of question marks.
>>Oh, so it's not one sided.
It sure as fuck is, Bradley types back.
>>My money on your moustache that he's interested in you.
Bradley rolls his eyes, because he's not going to give in to juvenile games they used to play in college.
>>Anyway, you're meant to be getting fitted for your suit for the wedding. Send him, and me, a picture of you getting all dressed up.
Bradley chews his bottom lip, because it's not the worst idea Izaak has had.
... ... ...
Thing is, Izaak is getting married and Bradley is his best man. So he's right at the top of his recent contacts. And occasionally he forgets who is the most recent, not double checking who he's sending messages to. Fortunately Jake just seems to have resigned himself to receiving messages from him out of the blue with no to little context.
... ... ...
Over the next 10-14 days Jake receives images of Bradley:
Dressed in suit, asking if his ass looks big.
Jake wants to bite it.
In bed all sleep rumpled, complaining about the early hour and being awake.
Jake wants to kiss him, bring him coffee, and run his fingers through his curls.
Gym selfie, saying he's working on his stamina.
Jake wants to know what the fuck for??? He stares at that one for too long for it to be healthy. He doesn't care.
Then there's the other messages, nearly always with pictures.
Looking forward to seeing you and catching up.
Made this for dinner tonight, my skills in the kitchen have improved greatly!
Did what you suggested and went and patted all the dogs at the shelter. Helped a little.
Moustache is in fine form! Thanks for asking!
You know me, happy to sleep anywhere.
Sun's out guns out!
You jealous?
New do!
Why would I bring a +1? I'm going to be a bit busy.
He even answers some of them. Sometimes with a looking good Bradshaw, almost as good as me or with ????? when he's simply confused. When he answers he nearly always gets an apology for bothering him again with a message not meant for him. Jake doesn't reply with a I really don't mind.
It's all providing a glimpse of what Bradshaw might be like with his friends or maybe his girlfriend or boyfriend. Jake doesn't even know that much, because they're not fucking friends. He wants to be though. Wants to be more than friends, wonders if that's ever going to be possible.
Jake asks Bradley about his plans for their upcoming leave and Bradley seems surprised that Jake doesn't know. Says he's going to his best friends' wedding, that he's the best man. Jake expresses surprise that his best friend isn't in the service and Bradley says he had years at college first.
Jake realises then that Izaak must be right beside him in Rooster's contacts and he desperately wants to know what name he's under.
Then he gets a message that reads:
I have it so fucking bad for him it's ridiculous. I mean, how is he so hot? Look at this asshole.
Attached is a picture of Jake himself from earlier in the day.

This is giving me hangster vibes

(Hey, look! That Zimbits AU where Jack goes into PR after retiring from the NHL and NHL!Bitty comes looking for advice about coming out!)
âYour ten-o-clock, remember?â April gestures to the conference room with her pen. âThe cutie the Hurricanes coughed up for Pride Night outreach? Heâs here.â
Jack tugs down the blinds with a cautious finger and zeroes in on the handsome blonde sitting awkwardly at one end of their large conference table, conspicuously alone. âThereâs always suits for outreach talks,â Jack hazards, looking back at his receptionist over his shoulder. âThey never send players alone.â
âItâs what weâve got on the books. Eric Bittle, Carolina Hurricanes. No plus ones.â April whispers, checking her calendar. âWell? Get in there, Boss; and buckle up, heâs got an accent.â
.
Eric Bittle looks up, his dark brown eyes wide and unfairly attractive as Jack extends his hand, Bittle rising to take it. Everything about Bittle is polished and perfected; suit tailored, hair coiffed so neatly Jack would posit heâd gone in to have it trimmed before heâd arrived this morning. Heâs pulled together so tightly, in fact, that Jack canât find any loose threads, and if he remembers his time in The Show correctly, no loose threads means Mr. Bittleâs probably hiding something.
âEric? Iâm Jack Zimmermann. Itâs great to meet you.â
âOh, I know who you are,â Bittle chuckles, and Jackâs heart would skip a beat if he wasnât so certain thereâs a huge piece of context still missing from this meeting. âItâs still very nice to meet you in person.â
âSo, tell me about Pride Night,â Jack pops the button on his suit jacket and settles down across the table. âWhat, exactly are the âCanes thinking about doing that involves you coming to see us?â
Bittle bites his lip briefly, gaze darting off before coming back to settle on Jack, and Jack is reminded of so many media training sessions itâs like heâs back in Vegas again.
âI may have, ah, fudged the reason for my visit a bit. Yes, we have Pride Night coming up, yes Iâm the designated sacrifice, but Iâm more here on personal business.â
Jack eases the tip of his pen from the legal pad, recognizing an off-the-record admission is coming. âHow personal?â He questions. âAre we talking potential legal trouble or just potential social trouble? Or no trouble at all.â
âIâm gay.â Bittle says plainly. âWhatever trouble that may be. My team knows it, my family knows it, and I want to come out â I need to come out â and I canât mess it up.â
Jack is grateful for his game face, reaching for the coffee carafe near him to couch his surprise and no small measure of his excitement. âOh, you mean like I did?â Jack jokes, earning a soft smile.
âNo active player has come out since you retired,â Eric skirts Jackâs comment, taking the mug before gingerly amending, âNot voluntarily, at least. Iâd like to break that streak. Given your experience, and what you do now, it seemed like the smart move to come speak with you.â
âWell, Iâll be the first to admit my behavior didnât lend itself to much confidence with the public at large, but thatâs why Iâm where I am today. Making sure people like you can learn from my mistakes.â
âAnd you made a lot of mistakes,â Bittle murmurs, taking the mug from Jack gingerly, glances back out the window as he takes a sip, and Jack fights a smile when he realizes whatâs happening.
âAre you . . . chirping me?â
âMakes me less nervous,â Bittle admits, apologetic. âBut that was rude, Iâm sorry.â
Bittleâs eyes are bright. His smile is bright. Everything about him is warm, inviting. Jack might be biased, though, heâs always had a soft spot for compact blondes.
âDonât apologize.â Jack leans back in his chair, feeling lighter than he has in weeks. âYou might be the only one in the whole league right now that doesnât need to apologize.â
âI think I need to have a partner,â Eric clears his throat. âI canât come out without a reason, otherwise whatâs the point.â
âThat answers one of my first questions, gives us a place to start. Yes, a boyfriend gets you points, but not in the way youâre thinking. If you come out with a guy on your arm, the story becomes maintaining the relationship, not that you have one or that you are âoutâ at all. The scandal is the relationship falling apart, or you flirting with a fan when you have your partner at home, that kind of drama.â
âAnd if I just say, âhello, I am a homosexualâ people will think Iâm promiscuous, or just trying to get laid.â
âMaybe. Are you?â
Bittleâs expression turns indignant, lips twisting into a judgmental frown that reminds Jack of his grandmother before a scolding.
âWhat kind of question is that? Yes, of course, but they donât need to know that. But that doesnât â You know, you gave me hope?â
Jack doesnât quite startle, heâs well beyond the jumpyness of his youth, but he has no clue where this conversation is about to go.
âWhen you came out, when you were drafted, your cup season . . . every time you succeeded, beat the odds, it made me think, maybe, I could do it, too. I could be a professional athlete, I could play hockey, and it didnât matter who I wanted to be with.â
Jack knows thereâs a âbutâ coming, he can feel it; so he gets there first.
âBut . . . then I overdosed.â
âThen you retired.â Eric corrects. âTwo years before I signed with Carolina, and you just gave up. I was going to be the first out NCAA menâs hockey captain, you âretiredâ in scandal, and suddenly the trustees didnât want the attention. Back to square one.â
âEric, I wasnât well.â Jack defends gently, knowing Bittle isnât trying to be cruel.
âYou let them get to you! You were supposed to be untouchable. I needed you to be untouchable.â
âEric.â
âIâm sorry,â Bittle looks down at his hands, the table, anywhere but Jack. âI genuinely didnât intend for any of this to come up so quickly, youâve been nothing but charming and here I am dumping all my baggage on you like weâve been talking for years . . . â
âItâs actually alright. Iâve made peace with what happened to me, what I put myself through, and I wasnât kidding that Iâm very intent on making sure I can help others avoid the same pitfalls. So, what do you need from me right now?â Jack asks, genuinely curious. âAn apology? A hug? You wouldnât be the first to ask.â
âI want . . .â Bittle huffs, closing his eyes and evening his breathing. âI want dinner.â
âIâm sorry?â
âIâve loved the idea of you since I was sixteen, but now I actually need your advice on how to do this without losing my mind, and I canât plan my future from a boardroom, so, I want you to take me to dinner. I want to hash this out like two normal, well functioning adult men. Also, maybe alcohol.â
âSpeak for yourself on the well-functioning part,â Jack chirps himself, âbut I think dinner can be arranged. I assure you, youâll have my full support moving forward. The firmâs, as well.â
Bittleâs lips quirk, holding Jackâs gaze. He caught the slip, and now thereâs nothing to do but own it. They lapse into a gentle silence. Jack sipping his coffee, Bittle doing the same. Jack isnât sure what heâs waiting for, the puck is at the end of his stick. He flashes a smile. Bittle blushes.
âSo,â Jack begins. âDo you like Burmese?â
____
They part ways and Aprilâs eyes are huge with suspicion. âShould we discuss fees?â she asks. âDo we need to start billing? Sounds like it went well.â
âNah, weâll talk later about payment,â Jack replies, folding his jacket over his arm, hiding the slip of paper with Bittleâs personal number and trying not to stare as the forward walks away. âI have a strong feeling I might be handling this pro bono.â

not a dream, common misconception about OTID
1) It's ran by a set of admins - nope, there's just one person behind this blog and it's always been just me.
2) It's been here since 2012 - nope, I made this blog in the summer of 2016. It took me close to a year to even start talking to you all, I just went through dreams and kept to myself, and it took me even longer to do a face reveal.
3) All the dreams posted are dreamt by the blog owner - nope, I rarely post my own dreams because I rarely dream. All the dreams posted were dreamt by people who've submitted them!
4) The submissions post on their own - nope, I go through them and post them manually. I also edit them, fix them up if there are any mistakes, clarify things that make no sense, look up the people mentioned when not provided context so I could give context to readers and occasionally edit the style a little so it'd be easier to read and understand.
5) It doesn't take long to post a large number of submissions - unfortunately untrue, it does take a lot and I also have to edit and vet the problematic ones. Tumblr has a daily post and queue limits, but it would be impossible to post 300 submissions per day without it. A lot of you don't provide context when sending in dreams about niche things and I have to dig for it myself because not everyone (most of us even, maybe) know about the same things as you do and I'd like for all of the post posted here to be understandable to the masses, so I always spend a lot of time checking for that.
6) I intentionally post the newer submissions first - completely false. Unfortunately, the submissions that were sent in earlier by Tumblr default end up at the bottom of the inbox and the scroll is broken. When you have thousands of submissions and try to go further and further down to post the older ones first, the scroll breaks, freezes, the editing is at 0.0001x speed, and so on. Everything is slow and blocky, therefore I have no choice but to go from the newer submissions down, and not vice versa.
7) I intentionally don't reply to donation posts that are submitted to OTID - UNTRUE AS frick. I've put my personal blog in the description and closed asks here so help posts would not be buried on this blog and I see them much sooner on @dreampai because I mostly use it for that purpose. When people submit their help posts on this blog, they unfortunately get buried by newer submissions and sometimes I don't see them for months. I've also closed anonymous messages on my personal blog because one person whose submission post I hadn't seen in time kept sending me hate and accused me of intentionally ignoring them. Don't submit your help posts on here, please send them as asks on my personal so you're guaranteed to be noticed. People who I've helped in the past can vouch that I do reply, respond and reshare their help posts on here.
8) I don't reply to messages - partially true and partially untrue. I get a lot of messages from you guys on all of my social media and it can get pretty overwhelming for me. Sometimes it takes me months to reply to everything, though I do try to talk to you as much as possible, but I'm a full time student on top of everything and my free time is limited, so if your message got buried, I'm sorry and please don't be discouraged. It's not that I don't care about you, it's likely that I didn't see it. Furthermore, people keep sending me their dreams on my personal platforms and that also helps to overwhelm me. @dreampai is my personal blog and I don't accept submission on there, but whenever I close submissions on here, there are people who ignore that and send them there.
9) The submission button isn't working - false. If you can't submit something, it means that the submissions are closed. Whenever the number of submission gets to an insane amount, like right now, I close it for some time so I can sort through them, edit and post them. It takes a while for me to do that. It's impossible to queue them all at once because of the way Tumblr works and the queue limit, and it takes some time for me to proofread and edit everything. Besides, I make sure to always edit the blog description when they are closed and close that option in the settings, people just don't check everything out. I get at least a few asks weekly on my personal of people telling me that the submission button isn't working. I know they're all well-intentioned.
10) OTID admin is a guy - false. I don't know how this rumor started but I always find it funny when people get surprised that I am a woman.
11) I don't look at posts that people tag me in - completely false. Sometimes they do get buried because, when you have a high level of activity blog with millions of notes per month, trying to find all the @s can be impossible and they won't load even if I do it through my activity panel because Tumblr is laggy like that. So if I miss something, tag me again please. Don't be afraid to send me an ask on my personal.
12) I don't like my mutuals, therefore I don't reply to them - untrue. If I follow you, for whichever reason, I probably like you or admire you or admire something that you've did, or you've managed to make me laugh. If I don't reply to your messages, it's because I'm overwhelmed or intimidated or nervous. I don't know why people keep imagining the worst, but I really wanted to clear this one up.

Belosâ Day of Unity
This episode confirmed a HUGE detail for us, and itâs that the Day of Unity involves merging the human and Demon Realms together! This better explains why Belos wants the Portal⊠If he just wanted to access the human world, he could do that with regular Titanâs Blood alone, but he needs something on a level that can maintain a lasting, open connection between the two! Not only thatâŠ

But as Boscha so âkindlyâ reminds us later this episode, Luzâs glyphs donât work in the human world! Magic is a gift from the isles⊠And with the association of wild magic as âelementalâ, how Luzâs glyphs take an elemental form⊠How they were the first form of magic, learned from observing the isles themselves and whatnot-
        It seems wild magic, at least as how Belos defines and hates it, takes a lot of cues and even draws power from the Boiling Isles! From the Demon Realm itself⊠Which, is interesting because;
Belos clearly wants to control magic. He sees it as something witches have to more or less earn back⊠But ideally, they have to earn it from him entirely! Bile magic is something Belos can control, itâs confined to peopleâs bodies and he has the coven bindings to do so- Belos can control bodies, he can override that autonomy, and it comes from a source he can regulate. You can even see it with staffs, especially the one that Hunter has!
Staffs can be taken away, they can be broken and drained. Theyâre external, but in a way that Belos can easily separate a witch from⊠And with Hunter, this takes on a whole new twisted meaning, because Hunterâs staff is (or rather was) his ONLY source and means of magicâŠÂ
And as someone who created that staff no doubt, Belos can easily tamper with and restrict the spells that Hunter can access with it, no doubt- I wouldnât be surprised if Belos could turn off Hunterâs staff at will! Itâs his to give and take as he pleases, and given Belosâ unwillingness to create more Palismen, we still see plenty of carefulness with staffs as an external source of magic as well. Belos might intend to replace magical staffs with his own version that he can control!
But wild magic and glyphs? They come from the isles, they come from the very land itself⊠And Belos CANâT restrict the very fabric of the reality he lives in. Glyphs are an outside-context problem, you donât need a bile sac to wield them; And they completely bypass the issues of coven bindings. You canât restrict glyphs, the way you canât restrict knowledge- Itâs always bound to slip through Belosâ grasp, no matter how hard he tries. And once a secret is out, it tends to spread like wildfireâŠ
Belos canât just apply some massive coven binding to the Demon Realm entirely⊠Can he?
Thatâs of course where the Day of Unity comes in. Where OUR world comes in⊠If magic, specifically the wild magic that fuels glyphs, is sourced directly from the Demon Realm itself⊠And our world has no magic, glyphs are useless there?Â
Belos might intend to neutralize the Demon Realmâs magic entirely, by fusing it with the human world! And/or, with how the human world seems more vast than the Demon Realm (the Boiling Isles is only the size of Vermont), the magic inherent to it will be spread so thin that itâll be too weak to utilize.
And thatâs⊠As Luz might put it, fiendishly clever! Belos recognizes his limits. He knows he canât control the knowledge of glyphs, the memory of them- And even if he could, people can still learn directly from the isles itself, from the Demon Realm itself- The Light Glyph can be found in the stars! So long as the original source exists to learn from, nothing is truly stopping someone from paying attention and finding it on their own, potentially by accident!
If Belos canât truly, physically control this magic and restrain it- Then itâs a liability, especially since it can grant coven-bound witches access to full magic again, and allow them to turn the tides. It makes Belos and his system redundant⊠So he has to remove the original source of wild magic, WITHOUT destroying his own world and of course himself in the process!
In comes our world. With the Demon Realmâs magic neutralized and/or diffused, the only source will come from the bile in witchâs bodies, which Belos CAN restrict. Sure, some witches might escape here or there, slip through the cracks and have unbound children⊠But thatâs nothing compared to the threat of glyphs, which anyone can learn at any time!
And if Belos plans to somewhat conquer the human world, at least to defend and maintain his own utopia- It works out again! Because our technology is based on knowledge, nothing is stopping the witches of Belosâ society from learning and adapting to our own technology, repurposing it for themselves. We already see technology exist to some degree anyway, such as in the Abomitons, and Belosâ own creations! Itâd be easy for witches to repurpose our own technology for themselves.
But humans? We canât cast magic. We have no bile sacs⊠And even glyphs, the one form of magic we COULD wield, would be rendered powerless by our own world! Sure, there might be a few witches here or there that would come to our side, that would oppose Belosâ conquest and imperialismâŠÂ
But those select few wouldnât make up for the vast differences in numbers, nor could they have kids whoâd grow up at a fast enough rate. Magic can replicate technologyâs uses in its own way âscrolls can access a magical version of the internet- and I wouldnât be surprised if the Day of Unity will also empower Belos as some kind of all-powerful, magical god who could easily handle what us puny humans throw at him, anyway.

Aside from a much smaller population⊠Again, it seems magic is a good way for Belos to ensure his own power and conquest over our world, too- Or at least to keep us out of his own borders. Perhaps Belos only intends to rule his select portion of the Demon Realm within Connecticut, and bar out everyone else to their own devices, occasionally checking in to make sure we donât âinvadeâ his own bubble.
Maybe Belos doesnât even intend to transport the entire Demon Realm, just the Boiling Isles itself, to the human world⊠Which of course isolates witches from that source of wild magic even more.
There is an issue of course- And that gets down to how witches create magical bile. With how magic is a gift from the isles, itâs possible witches are simply able to convert the innate magic of the atoms and molecules around them in their digestive system, and turn that into bile- Meaning without this âmagical radiationâ, eventually a witch will run out of magic bile and be depleted, should they stay in the human world without any access to the Demon Realm.
Does Belos know, or even care? Maybe this is his way of also removing magic entirely⊠Or as I said, with how magic will be spread thin when our worlds fuse; Perhaps it will exist in enough of a capacity in this fused realm, that biological witches can still harvest this magical radiation and produce bile.Â
Or, based on how King described it in The Unauthorized History of the Boiling Isles, witches just naturally produce their own magical radiation in the form of bile- They donât need to be connected to the Demon Realm to do, they are their own sustainable source!
Either way, Belosâ plan makes a disturbing amount of sense⊠Itâs the final nail in the coffin as a way for him to physically control magic, and itâs the outright death and eradication of wild magic as well! He has no interest in conquering our world, not necessarily- Just in bringing his over so he can kill off the final source of magic that manages to elude his control.
Any imperialism may come as a natural byproduct of this type of crossover, but itâs not what Belos specifically intends from the fusion- So in a way, he wasnât lying when he said that it wasnât his plan to conquer the human world.Â
Belos didnât say itâd NEVER be his plan⊠Just that this specific goal doesnât involve that, not necessarily. Plus, heâd argue that any conquest would come fully as a means of self-defense, which⊠Would not be wrong either, because thereâd definitely be humans whoâd reject the society that Belos would bring in, and seek to eradicate and/or control it for themselves too!
        Once the Day of Unityâs crossover ensues, it seems the only magical liability that Belos would have to worry about is⊠Unbound biological witches, witches who DO have a bile sac, but arenât under Belosâ control! Hence why he stresses to his coven heads;
âThe larger your covens grow, the more power we have to unite our realms, where the worthy shall inherit a utopia free of wild magic.â
Itâs possible Belos plans to use his coven bindings as a means of powering whatever magic he needs to pull this crossover off- Iâve speculated before on the demon realmâs solar system forming a glyph combo to do this, but itâs not out of the question that Belos would need a little extra power for such a massive event.Â
Perhaps Belos intends to drain the unused magic of every bound witch- After all, about 8/9ths of every bound witchâs magic is sealed away, presumably unused⊠So to Belos and his coven heads, theyâre not really depriving anyone of anything by draining that unused magic?
Especially if witchesâ magic can still replenish over time anyway (unless youâre cursed), plus spreading the individual cost that each witch will have to fork over for the Day of Unity, across more witches, is arguably the moral thing to do anyway!Â
Hence why coven bindings are necessary, not just to fuel the Day of Unity, but to also remove the final liability that Belos would need to deal with. Ideally, Belos wants every witch bound before the Day of Unity, so he wonât have to worry about any biological witch when the crossover occursâŠ
But at the same time, I doubt itâs strictly necessary- So even if itâs ideal, Belos is obviously going to go ahead with his crossover if there are still unbound witches. He can still deal with them later⊠They might have a bigger world to escape out into, which is why he stresses this be done sooner, rather than later, when witches are more confined to a smaller space and easier to find- But Belos still ultimately wins, one way or the other.
Belosâ plan and Day of Unity is unimaginably grandiose, horrifying, and worst of all⊠Makes so much sense, it connects everything together in a reasonable way! Though it only makes sense from a viewerâs speculative perspective, and in-universe from the perspective of Belos, for the kinds of goals heâs looking for of course.Â
From a general and moral perspective this plan is completely nuts and terrible, but in terms of what Belos is actually trying to accomplish, a society where magical is truly bound⊠(Albeit not an actual âutopiaâ like he claims), I hate to say it but this works perfectly, and thatâs terrifying! Unfortunately, it seems this fucker does know EXACTLY what heâs doing, very much! And Belos is batshit nuts.

And thereâs a good chance that somebody in this meeting is very understandably not enthused with Belosâ plan, even outright intimidated, and determined to stop it as a result...
