The bell sang as the door opened by your favorite customer. He became a regular that by now you knew some things about him. Like, how his hairstyle is always neat, his dark sleepy eyes that you love to stare at, where he worked, that he had an interesting hobby in directing, how he played volleyball in high school.

You sat on your stool with the bouquet of colorful flora ready to hand to him, only to see him enter with a little boy holding his hand.

Your little heart shattered into quadrillion pieces. Of course he would have a beautiful wife and a child. He indeed is charming in his own way. He also had a good paying job. You felt so dumb for falling head over heels with this man.

“Hello Ennoshita-kun, here to pick up these flowers?” You smile sadly.

“I hope she does love me back.” He looked down at the wooden floor.

He opened the little red door to be welcomed in by the little chime of the golden bell.

“L/n-san, I am here.” He walked in quietly.You rush out of the back to see him in a white cardigan. A light sage colored polo matching his eyes wonderfully. Khakis make him look simply charming. Oh, why did you fall for this married man?

“This is my dad's ring and he gave it to me as a gift for my fifteenth birthday.” He took it off.

“But, the flowers must be for-”

“I don't have a girlfriend either. These flowers are for my mom because it's my mother's birthday.” He extended the flowers out.

Your face turned a bright magenta on the spot. You had no words left in your brain. This whole time your blood boiled over a woman that never existed.

“I have one question still on my mind.” You step closer to him.

“Oh, umm yeah. What is it?” He looked away from you.

“Why would you invite me to your mom's birthday party?” You twist your foot around on the green blanket beneath your feet.

Ennoshita gave her a look that he gave at his mother's request.

“L/n-san, since I entered the flower shop to pick up a bouquet for my mother, you were the most beautiful flower in that whole garden. Your eyes gleamed like twinkling diamonds in the night sky. Your hair perfectly framed your face as I kept looking at you, examining every little detail. What I am trying to say is…” He looked down, cheeks as a crimson rose. “Ln-san, will you go out with me?”

Everything in that moment stopped or turned completely white out of the picture. Only you and Ennoshita are in the spotlight and everyone is a side character just like in the movies you watched in high school.

You jumped into a tight hug, almost making him collapse on the grass.

This marked the last time you doubted his love towards you.

Regretful, he sings of their deep friendship, holding his bleeding friend as he passes in his arms, swearing vengeance for his fate.' “Of course, they're 'friends'” Sentry chuckled. “Gods forbid these dull witted nobles realize the obvious.” But still, he tucked the program into his vest as he continued his walk, the music of the orchestra swelling behind the doors. On stage had been a scene of some vapid half-elven beauty singing about love and innocence, the sort of thing these patriars were REALLY here to pretend they believed in. He passed through the halls and to a small, nondescript door at the end of the corridor, ducking behind a decorative pillar as he noticed two figures standing there, the half-orc actor from the beginning and that girl again. He was grasping her hands, which Sentry was just realizing were quite frail and delicate, there was a pallor to the grey-blue of her skin up close that he hadn't noticed in the dark. He could also see dark circles under her eyes, which she was trying to hide with makeup.

“Geryn, you promised we could spend the night together.” She was saying softly. “I know, darling, but my wife is back in town, it's unexpected I assure you.” The man ran a hand over the girl's face. Sentry rolled his eyes. Are you following me? Am I a target?” Sentry sighed and shook his head. So clearly this girl wasn't trying to become an Unholy Assassin. A pity, no one expects an ill girl straight out of a tragic romance novel. With training, she might have been great. But, as much as she was not trying to join his family, she also wasn't some haughty patriar. If this was her 'good' dress, Sentry felt sorry for her. He could see the tell tale signs of several mendings. It was practically threadbare and hung somewhat loose on her. Besides, the shade of her horns and her bone structure did nothing for any of his art, the shark-like skin was interesting, but young and short in stature as she was, there would hardly be enough of it for anything grand. So she was not a target either.

“No, you're not my type.” He winked and turned to leave. “Oh...but....also I assure you, that man isn't your type either. He's leading you on. Don't waste your time.” And with that, he made his way back down the hall towards the door to the private box, leaving the girl standing there, equal parts hurt and confused. As their fingers entwined, he completely forgot about his previous conversation as he began to scan the crowd for a likely source of materials. I’ve had this written for a little bit and in the spirit of trying to get over that dumb hockey game last week, I’m gonna post it.  I’m not sure if I’ll ever put this on AO3.

I’m also just slightly irked that Seattle got a hockey team before I could get this series any further along, LOL.

Before we get started: The Catholic/Protestant “argument” is some good-natured iron-sharpening-iron between friends. It’s not meant to be taken super seriously and I won’t entertain people getting mad about it or telling me how wrong I am.

Andor looked past Hank to the clouds below. “Go back to Bergen, maybe.”

Hank put his Kindle down and faced Andor head on. “You went through all that trouble becoming an American citizen so you could go back to Norway?”

“You asked,” Andor harrumphed.

“You want to live where it’s winter six months out of the year? Nine feet of snow, always dark—”

“You’re from Colorado!”

“Yeah, and I don’t live there anymore.” 

“I never said I was going back for good,” Andor clarified. “Just for a little while. You could come visit, you know.”

“That’s a great idea,” Hank said wryly. “Put my wife and our six children on a 24-hour plane ride.” 

“Donna and Ashley are basically adults.” 

“Basically adults who still rely on me and Katie to pay for the very air they breathe.”

Andor rolled his eyes. “All right, what are you going to do when all this is over, you little ray of sunshine?”

Hank seemed to think. “Maybe I’ll go to law school after all.”

“Yeah, why not? My LSAT scores are probably still good.”

So he later found out he wasn't holding me a hostage and these idiots just kept on saying s*** to him and a little to me and he would not shut their stupid mouths for the price of tea in China one day you sent them all out on a mission and they didn't come back he said well I guess that's that and it was three people no it's like 10 of us how's the nightmare okay it was a nightmare and I knew it was happening and it's protecting me but you said was you're thinking stupid stuff like that anyways and I mentioned I'm helping to keep it a secret and then they got worse so I said my husband is trying to keep me a secret and it gets worse with these people he said I know they're nuts and he's been trying to figure out why and he got consume with hatred it's this I am going to win everything crap and happened to JC.

Discrimination is ugly

According to CRT we're all the same race, so there's no such thing as racism, but unfortunately it's a huge industry right now and people make a lot of money off of it. So it's running its course and it won't stop until it comes to a head, which I personally think is coming in the near future...near meaning 5 to 20 years. It will have a very ugly ending. One thing for sure, the Great Melting Pot experiment didn't work. We are at a point in time where the underlying hate is far stronger than the kindness on the outside, and the hate is winning. It's just weird that people enjoy hating one another. I was the dumb white dude in high school who befriended all 182 students in my class. Most of my friends only knew maybe 50 or so people. But I got to know every single person. Same in college. I had roommates from Jamaica, Japan, and States all over the country. I always found culture a beautiful thing, yet people on both sides seem to want to squash culture. I loved to go to Chinatown every year, to Little Italy every year, to Mexico(FULL of beautiful culture), to the Bahamas...and when you're there you just appreciate learning the history of the people. The architecture, the way of life, the good things that we should all want to know about any other nationality of people. After reading CRT I'm pretty sure they're right though. Racism doesn't exist. It's merely people from a certain way of life or certain neighborhoods that have a hate towards people that aren't like them. I've never met any knuckleheads that follow white supremacy, I don't know any people that have a house loaded with guns. My very best friend is Arnell. We play golf every weekend and hang out at his place enjoying a few beers. We took a trip to Colorado to go mountain biking. My coder is an Asian dude who I've now been friends with for over 20 yrs. He, myself and my father all visited Hong Kong together and had the blast of a lifetime. I was raised Catholic and my wife is Jewish. BTW the Jewish people are BY FAR the greatest people to ever walk the Earth. Just know this. You can bash them all you want, they couldn't care one bit. They know we're all crazy and they're just watching us all behave like idiots, and laughing at us. The Jewish people have their power inside their souls. They know who they are, and what they are, and where they came from. They hate nobody, and they look at us as lost children in a world where the people of Israel will always be the people of God. They have no worries in life or in the afterlife. They are at peace. (don't get me wrong, there's a few bad Jewish people out there, just like the whyte supremacists, just like the black people that hate on just about everyone, just like the thieving Asians, the sneaky people from India and the bad people all over the world) But WE the people of the U.S. were supposed to be better....oh well I guess that was only a Dream...Hate is contagious, we need to stop the spread...be kind...I realize that asking people to Love one another is a big stretch being Love is a very complex idea, not everyone knows what love is, but we def know how to be kind...Hate's been around since day 1, and it will be around forever. You can't even get 10 people in your own family to agree. So try to be realistic. Some people hate flying, some love flying. Are they both now going to hate each other? If that's the world we're going to live in, where you feel comfortable hating anyone that doesn't like what you like, then it's going to get a lot tougher as we move forward. In 1959 Bertrand Russell said this "In this world, which is getting more and more interconnected, we have to learn to tolerate each other, we have to learn to put up with the fact that some people say things that we don’t like. We can only live together in that way."...no truer words were ever spoken....hopefully we can get there, if we don't, then we will all suffer the consequences together...stay safe out there, my and my special needs daughters love all of you nuts
