Got bored so I drew my WoF old man yaoi (Mastermind and Chameleon). I don't know if either of them are even that old?? But they just have that energy.

Sometime in the future, I imagine Chameleon gets imprisoned by the RainWings for his crimes. He and Mastermind—who is also still imprisoned—bond over being awful single dads and maybe start to like each other. And then maybe they can learn to be better (or learn to be worse). Still thinking it through, idk.

Also, Peril and Starflight get to deal with suddenly maybe being siblings and complain about their awful dads. They can complain about Kestrel, too.

Clay x Peril ship bingo

Okay so, in arc 1, I found this one hard to ship. Peril seemed to love clay just out of loneliness, or desperation for anyone who could be around her, which I dont blame her for, but it wasn’t healthy. It was almost as bad for clay. He hadn’t EVER been out of that cave, like, EVER, and the first thing that had happened was getting kidnapped and forced to fight in a rink for an evil queen’s entertainment- Im actually really happy they didn’t get together in arc 1, they would NOT have been healthy, and I believe that clay didn’t like peril romantically in arc one either.

That being said, I LOVE arc 2 clay x peril, specifically after Peril’s book. peril, while not completely healed, figures out that she can think for herself, and finally starts to figure out how to talk with people and figures out that not everyone is an awful dragon who’s afraid of her (thank you turtle! Love you 🫶) and just overall seems to understand herself a lot more.

Clay, also, Gets his chance to start understanding the world, interacting with all the tribes, getting to know generations of past dragons, and seemingly overall a lot more matured than he was when he first came out of the mountain.

I think that, despite peril and clay being quite the toxic pair in arc 1, arc 2 PerilxClay is one of my favourite ships. Peril managing to get snapped out of animus magic was a result of her knowing clay. Clay, of course, is one of the only dragons who can even touch her is also a cute touch, and works out nicely. I love how Clay doesn’t seem to develop a crush on peril in the first arc, but its shown that he waits to start healing from his experiences under the mountain before those feeling develop.

I love how, despite everything, through all of peril’s book in arc 2, clay is the #1 thing pushing her to be good. Yes, eventually that changes to her doing good just to do good, but he was that original push to start healing from everything.

winterwatcher could have gone so hard if it had foeslayer x arctic parallels. can you imagine how absolutely rabid darkstalker would have been about it. can you imagine him perpetuating the same toxic cycle of abuse that made his parents who they were. moon and winter are different people but all he would see are his parents. i think it could have been interesting
