okay so this is lowkey inspired by @jayparked posting about her wips a bit ago (check them out here she's crazy talented and i can't wait to read them all) and since i've been struggling with writing recently i thought maybe sharing some of my wips could help. also biggest thanks to snail for helping me with the synopses for some of these and listening to me stress over the banners and everything

"distance makes the heart grow fonder." is no longer just a cliche saying. heeseung decided to follow his dreams, but doing so lead him to a different city, leaving you behind. no other friends, no hobbies to keep yourself busy, and no motivation to keep going, the only thing keeping you on some sort of routine is attending your college classes that your parents force you to go to. just when you're about to officially quit and give up, heeseung shows up out of nowhere and manages to pull you out of your slump, upturning your whole friendship in the process.

Black leaned his head back, using one of his thighs as a cushion. When they locked eyes, he gave him a drunken shit-eating grin and Severus didn't even stop to think about his morality in using Legilimens on him.

Very carefully, keeping Regulus in his perifial view, Severus raised a hand and very gently grabbed a handful of Black's hair before increasing his grip, pulling him closer towards his lap.

pre canon VR-LA and Dani hang out!

“Hey. I’m hungry.” 

VR-LA swiveled around and looked at Dani  incredulously. “…And what do you want me to do about it?”

“Uhh… I don’t know. The fridge is empty so  I thought I’d go down a couple of blocks to the hoagie place, if you want to come. I guess you don’t really eat, but y’know, open invitation.”

VR-LA looked down at his half finished notes and made an easy decision. 

“Sure, I’ll go with you.” He stood up and joined Dani at the doorway of his room, where she started leading him off the ship. “I haven’t actually been around the City of Brass that much. I usually just stay near the Heap whenever we visit.”

Dani hummed, guiding them on what seemed to be a familiar route to her. “You aren’t really missing much. A lot of food and blacksmith stalls. A lot of Illuminated you don’t want to mess with. To be honest the part of the city I’m most familiar with, is… not nice to newcomers. Great place to get your pocket picked. I don’t really visit much.” She said the last part a bit distantly. 

Dani didn’t talk about her life before the Heap a lot. Not that she was particularly cagey about it, but it seemed like something she preferred not to think about. VR-LA could understand that. 

They got to the sandwich stall Dani repeatedly swore by, and she placed an order for both of them.

They received their order and both thanked the vendor before heading back to the Heap. Dani began opening her food, apparently intending to eat while walking, and made a face. 

“Egh, they put spiced onion on it. I thought I asked them to leave it off.”

VR-LA looked over and saw slices of some kind of pale vegetable on her sandwich. She stuck her tongue out in distaste before turning to him. 

“Do you want it?”

“Oh, I don’t know. I’ve never had them before. Is there a reason you don’t like them?”

Dani shrugged and picked the vegetable in question off her sandwich. “They make me sick.”

“Do you have an allergy?”

“No.”

“Do you not like the taste, then?”

“Eh, I don’t know, they taste fine.” Dani hesitated. “They’re really cheap and available basically everywhere in Brass. I used to eat them a lot when I was a kid. They still taste like— being hungry to me.”

“I see.
