Coaching ex Wushu athlete, singer @sherontan94 💪 As much as she is busy working a full time job at a irregular working shift while working out consistently, it always nice to hear that she remembers to smile more now when she meet me during her off days. I am happy that she is now more optimistic and determined to reach her desired fitness goals by the next few years. Lately I am very proud of her being able to do military push-ups and being able to have a more mature mindset into fitness/training. Espcially on how to manage a realistic fitness goals for herself to achieve. SHOULDER PRESS: standing with feet pointing forward and planted under your shoulders, roll your shoulders back and tuck your blades down, with weights in hand lift your arms up to make a field goal post, hold, press the weights up overhead slowly lower back to start and repeat

TRICEP KICKBACK: standing with feet pointing forward and planted under your shoulders, roll your shoulders back and tuck your blades down, bend forward slightly at the waist, glue your upper arm to the side of your body, with arms bent and weights in hand bring the weights next to your chest press backwards as far as your elbow allows controlling the movement with your tricep slowly return to start and repeat......never lift your upper arm off of your body to extend further back, only go as bar as your elbow allows

PUSH UPS: come onto the floor on all fours, you will align your buttock, spine, neck, and head into one line, push your pelvic area towards the floor so everything is in one line, your arms will be under your shoulders, slowly lower yourself towards the ground, as low as you can go, bring yourself back to starting position and repeat.....it is important not to arch your back or lift your butt...keep everything in one line.....if you are new to push-ups and/or you have just received clearance to begin working your chest muscles this move can be done on the wall to help gradually build you up

After waking naturally at 8am...which is sleeping in to me now days. I got my workout in before the day got away from me and other tasks started happening. Even though I am on vacation, doesn't mean I miss a Monday! I picked 22 Minute Hard Core, a quick cardio workout. Bear Crawls were part of this workout. Revisiting programs I have done in the past is always a great reminder of how far I have come. The key to this move is keeping your bum and body close to the ground. When I first did this program a year ago, this move was so hard for me. I struggled to move, I struggled to get low, I just plain old struggled. It may look like I kinda have it down, but I still struggle, but in different ways. I also still struggle to go backwards on this move. I wish I had video from a year ago to compare to how far I have come. But I don't. I do know that the moves feel so much more smooth and more comfortable. This isn't a quick fix, your health isn't a quick fix. CHEST FLY: lying flat on the floor, back pressed into the floor, knees bent, bring weighted hands straight up in air over your chest , palms facing each other, with a slight bend to your elbow lower your arms out to the side, slowly return to start squeezing your chest muscle to make sure they are activated in this move , repeat

SQUATS: standing with feet pointed forward and planted under your shoulders, lower your body down as if you were sitting in a chair, it is important not to let your knees go over your feet, if you notice your form is off, push your buttocks back and then lower, go as low as you can go and return to start, repeat.....we all have different strengths....you may not go down to far but if you are using proper form as you continue to do this exercise your legs will get stronger and you will be able to go lower over time....most important is form

STATIONARY LUNGES: standing in a wide split stance with one leg forward and the other back, make sure your toes are pointing forward , front leg stays stable, back leg will have your heel off the floor and you will balance on the toes, lower the back leg to the floor, as low as you can go, return to start and repeat

Kesan pertama melihat buku ini adalah ‘lucu!’ desain buku yang cukup simpel namun tetap ciamik dipadu dengan pemilihan warna dusty orange membuat buku ini eye catching bagi makhluk-makhluk venus yang memang jadi target pembaca dari buku ini😅
Ditulis oleh Meira Anastasia yang merupakan istri seorang sineas terkenal di Indonesia; Ernest Prakasa. Dalam buku pertamanya ini Mamak Meira (panggilan akrabnya) bercerita tentang suka dukanya menjadi seorang istri dari public figure yang digandrungi banyak orang sehingga secara tidak langsung berdampak pada kehidupan keluarganya yang menjadi konsumsi publik.
Penampilan mamak Meira yang ‘unik’ dengan segala hal yang ada dalam dirinyapun tak lepas dari komentar para netizen yang berekspektasi bahwa seorang public figure haruslah perempuan yang sesuai dengan ‘standar’ mereka: rambut panjang terurai, tubuh tinggi semampai, berkulit putih, mata berbinar, hidung mancung dan lainnya yang bagi mamak Meira, jauh sekali dari tampilan fisik dirinya. Hal ini telah membuat mamak frustasi dan berusaha mati-matian untuk menjadi apa yang orang lain inginkan.
Buku ini adalah perjalanan mamak Meira selama bertahun-tahun untuk menerima dan mencintai dirinya. Bukan perkara yang mudah bagi mamak Meira (begitu juga dengan kita) untuk menerima diri kita dengan segala kekurangan dan mencintainya. Ditulis dengan bahasa yang sederhana, membuat cerita dalam buku ini mengalir dan lebih komunikatif. Mamak seakan-akan sedang menceritakan pengalaman berharganya secara langsung. Tak heran jika buku ini bisa diselesaikan dalam sekali duduk.
Di bagian awal buku ini, mamak bercerita tentang pengaruh sosial media dalam merusak self-esteem kita dan bisa membuat kita menderita mental illness. Tak hanya sosmed, realitas dan bergabung dengan toxic people juga bisa membuat kita tidak berhenti membandingkan pencapaian kita dengan orang lain dan itu sangat melelahkan. Hal ini bisa diperburuk dengan kurang adanya dukungan keluarga sebagai main support system dalam hidup.
Di awal cerita kita belajar bahwa, ‘when you’re about to say Bad Things to other people, just THINK about this.
1. Would it make you HAPPIER?
2. Would it help you with YOUR PROBLEMS?
Di bagian akhir buku ini, Mamak Meira mengingatkan kita untuk mulai dari sekarang dan membiasakan kita untuk menghadirkan energi positif dalam diri kita. Mengubah kata ‘insekyur’ jadi bersyukur juga akan sangat membantu kita untuk lebih menerima dan mencintai diri kita.
Dibagian kedua, Mamak bercerita bagaimana caranya untuk bangkit dari pikiran-pikiran negatif yang melingkupi kita bersebab komentar orang lain. Memulai adalah bagian tersulit dari berubah ke arah yang lebih baik dan Mamak telah berhasil memenangkannya. Menjalaninya dengan lapang dan tidak hidup dalam ekspektasi orang lain membuat Mamak lebih ‘ikhlas’ dalam menjalani prosesnya karena Mamak berubah demi diri sendiri bukan untuk orang lain. People are entitled to their opinions but don’t let it ruin your day. Think it over but don’t over think it. Begitu kata Mamak Meira. Sampai disini, sepakat?
Kelebihan buku ini adalah bahasanya yang mengalir sehingga sangat cocok menjadi teman perjalanan atau bacaan ringan mengenai self love atau self acceptance. Penambahan ilustrasi menjadikan buku ini manis dan menyenangkan untuk dibaca. Di bagian akhir buku, mamak memberi #workouttutorial dan #smartdieter lengkap dengan detail programnya. Tak ketinggalan bonus beberapa stiker motivasi juga yang bisa jadi reminder bagi kita untuk tetap bersyukur dan mencintai diri sendiri.
3. WOULD YOU BE HAPPY if someone else said that to you?
Kekurangan dari buku ini adalah ukuran font yang terlalu kecil sehingga kurang nyaman jika dibaca di kendaraan yang melewati jalan begajulan hahahahaha :D

Overall, buku ini sangat menyenangkan untuk dibaca. Dan kabar baiknya, buku ini sebentar lagi akan diadaptasi menjadi film yang akan disutradarai Mamak Meira dan suaminya, Ernest Prakasa. Can’t wait to see it!😍
