More games industry musings that I’ve touched on before.

World of Warcraft is obviously a huge, very established live-service game that needs experienced people to run it because there’s an expectation from its audience for high quality content.

But I think that’s all the more reason to ensure you are nurturing and training junior game developers across all disciplines.

Nearly every job posting there is for a senior game developer. Blizzard are not short of money and they should be building up newbies in their industry.

Because if they don’t, there’s not going to be a gaming industry.

I honestly think studios should offer what I’m going to call Game Development Apprenticeships where they accept junior candidates and put them through each discipline (Art, Programming, Production, Audio, QA etc) before giving them a place to specialise.

But obviously no company wants to make that investment only for them to leave and take their training with them. That’s why it should be wide spread across the AAA studios to begin with.

New Orc Post: Got the Green Light!

I have written consent from the creator of the Orc Boyfriend series on Youtube (I advise you go and listen, my headcanons will go with each episode-) His name shall not be revealed until the episode in which it is. Don't know about you guys. But sometimes watching my old favorites brings back childhood/teen-hood crushes. Raphael and Leonardo. Currently writing ideas for Mickey.

During his down time, Donatello mainly played online games to get away from what felt like a rather lonely existence. Donatello let out a sigh, "yes, in complete agreement. It's like you've read my mind."

Exiting the game and bringing up Discord, the terrapin smile widened, once your features took up his screen.

"So? Any plans for the remaining of this evening?" You asked, while adjusting your hair and re-tying it into a messy bun.

Donatello slouched in his gaming chair, gently swaying around. "No. I mean... there's a few things I should do, but I'm feeling lazy and putting it off till tomorrow."

You unknowingly returned his smile, since on your end all you could see was the terrapin's chosen thumbnail. Only hearing the audio of his voice.

"What things are those?" You asked.
