Can I ask, since you mentioned agreeing 'even if under duress' - how did the Watchers convince Player Grian to join them in hunger au?

So take this with the specific grain of salt that ive never watched Evo directly (but have friends who have ((thank you wren)), so i know tidbits via osmosis from them), but my thought has always been that the riddles the Watchers gave the Evo Players were all tests used to measure cleverness and intelligence-- the whole point of them attempting to copy the mind of a Player into a Watcher larva in the first place was to try and avoid the insanely high infant mortality rate their typical juveniles go through, bc they dont understand their own limits enough to even know they have them yet. So they needed a Player they knew they could instruct and who would listen to them, and, well. Grian, for all he was rebellious and outright defiant of the Watchers, still solved their puzzles and only had to be punished once before he stopped trying to mess with them

What ive always pictured is after the dragon fight the two main elders of the Watcher colony finally revealed themselves to Grian properly-- i have this crystal clear image of the two of them hovering above and next to the central end island, looming over Grian, and like, these guys are big. HUGE. A good 5x bigger than the ender dragon itself, at LEAST. It would be hard not to feel insanely intimidated by that, honestly, especially when there are two of them side by side, blocking your entire view of the End from that direction.

Anyway picture that with the context of these two giant floating winged worms youve never seen before, who have demonstrated their powerful ability to manipulate code in a way you cant.... telling you that they have chosen you to become one of them. Thats an immense amount of pressure, both from flattery and fear, especially considering theyve punished you before for defying them. I like to think even then, Grian balked a bit, and while i dont have exact dialogue beats here, i know the Watchers continued putting that pressure on him (likely while leveraging his friendships too-- like ive always said, if Grian hadnt been chosen, BigB wouldve been, and i can absolutely see the Watchers offering to take him in Grian's stead) until he finally caved and accepted their "offer" of joining them.

Unfortunately, he didnt find out exactly what that entailed until it was far too late.

i know i said id write this post four hours ago but i had to do the merge dragons event. anyway.

WINGS ! how the fuck would they be treated on smps where theres pvp? (this is an au where Everyone has wings. and talons but well get into that Later. this is about the wings sdhkjgl)

they are very much a weak point in combat, id saying. if you fuck someones wings up, they are done for. cant fly away, permanent damage. and theres not many ways to defend them (beyond putting armour on the flesh and bone part of the wing - which would do a lot more than it sounds like!). so i do think that it would be social taboo to go for someones wings in battle.

but even if it is social taboo.. accidents happen, and it works differently on different servers, right? and thats what this post is about ! focusing on smps where theres actual Combat (sorry hermitcrafters and kww collab fans)

first off, my beloved.. the dream smp. honestly! i think people would NOT go for the wings. there may be wars and actually genuinely fucked up stuff, but going for the wings in a fight is taking it too far. accidents have DEFINITELY happened tho, what with the sheer amount of withers and explosions. like phils wings being fucked up! yes i know thats a canon thing but im using it to prove my point here. the EXCEPTION to this 'people not intentionally going for the wings' thing is, well. c!dream. the fucker would INSTANTLY go for the wings whenever he has an opportunity. its a weak point, of course he'd abuse the fuck out of it, like. its impossible to expect anything otherwise.

lifesteal!! this ones fun to me because i think theyd have Concrete Rules on this. like they already do! from off the top of my head, i remember that netherite armour is banned, for example. i think going for the wings would just be... another thing thats banned. and no matter how deep into the Lore that people get, those rules are GEEENERALLYYYYY followed. the wings one for sure is. it may be the dEaDlIeSt SeRvEr, but theyre all there willingly. getting their wings fucked up is not something ANYONE wants. i dont know enough about lifesteal to pinpoint specific times that Accidents wouldve happened but! whatever. this is one rule that they always follow i think. (please dont kill me for this one if you disagree, i havent watched enough lifesteal)

now the life series... naturally, going for the wings is banned. ..but only nominally, really. all bets are off when youre on red, right? i really dont think there could be anything to stop people on red from going for peoples wings in fights. i mean, depending on your interpretation of the life series (as in, does being on red actually make someone Bloodthirsty like most common fanon, or is it just a Thing that lets someone attack others?), this can change, but i like the first one, so with that in mind... yeah nothing would stop people on red from going for the wings. this only gets MORE INTERESTING if you believe life series and hermitcraft to be connected in some way... with the inevitable wing injuries that would come from the life series, if they just... go back to hermitcraft and other servers afrterwards... if those injuries are permanent (which i do believe they are), then... oh that would be Something hehe. keeping this in my back pocket a fic idea, yall are free to yoink it.

and last but not least, bcs i dont actually watch that many smps (esp not with fighting) or whatever... unstable universe. pretty much what i said for lifesteal! like! i dont see any reason why itd be any different. yes unstableverse doesnt have Rules like lifesteal, but... theyre mostly the same people. if they can follow that Rule in lifesteal, combined with the social taboo thing, i think that they wouldnt really go for the wings. thats just a line you dont cross. (..also wemmbu did canonically yoink Most of the elytras on the whole server at one point, and in this context i think it would be funny if he just somehow managed to disable flight for a while, but thats a whole other thing unrelated to wings in combat lmao)

ANYWAY YEAH THATS THAT. I HAVE SOOOO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT HOW WINGS IN COMBAT WOULD ACTUALLY WORK. might write a post about that.

Summary:Tommy had stolen dreams discs,so he tries interrogating him to find out where he hid them. Doing so ends up with Dream finding out he is ticklish and using this weakness of Tommy's to get the information he needs, although it just turns into merciless tickling. Ph1LzA hears Dream and Tommy and decides to check it out. He separates his children and tells them to do that at home.

"I need those discs back NOW !" Dream slammed his hands on the table infront of him. "Well, I can tell you that.." Tommy sighed. Dream listened carefully. "that you AREN'T GETTING THE FUCKING DISCS BACK MATE'!" He yelled. "UGH! I SWEAR TO GOD TOMMY!!" Dream yelled back. "WOAH-" Suddenly he fell forward, brushing his hand on Tommy's side. Tommy jumped back and yelped,slowly letting out some tiny giggles. "Whats funny, tommy?" Dream asked, annoyed. "The fact you are making this longer than it needs to be?" "N-No," Tommy answered. "you brushed againts my s-side, thats all.."

"and that made you laugh?" He asked. He thought for a while. He suddenly realized. "Tommy?" Dream asked him. "What?" Tommy replied. "Are you ticklish?" Tommy went dead silent. He knew that he was red as redstone at this point.

"Tommy?" Dream asked,waving his hand infront of his face. "You good?" Tommy snapped out of it. "O-Oh! Yeah! I-Im fine" He answered. "I asked you a question." He said. "Oh? Sorry I d-didnt hear you" Tommy said shakily. "Tommy, Are you ticklish?""Me? Ticklish? Of course n-not! Why a-are you asking?" He said. Dream thought for a minute. "are you sure?" He asked. "Y-Yeah,why?" Tommy was scared of dream, or anyone really, finding out his weakness;tickling.

"hmm.. for some reason I dont believe you." Dream said. He walked behind the table that was infront of him and went over to tommy. "if your not ticklish, then you dont mind me testing something, do you tommy?" Dream asked. "N-No, go ahead" Tommy said. He gulped.

Dream walked over to a wall and grabbed a blindfold. He put it on Tommy. "Why cant I see anything?" Tommy asked. Dream walked over to the door and opened it, then closed it. "W-Wait!! Dream! Hello?! ANYONE?!" Tommy looked around frantically, even though he couldnt see anything. He pulled on the restrains that held down his hands and feet. "damn it.. HELLO!?" He yelled. Dream walked over to him. Dream lightly tapped Tommy's sides from behind. He jumped and pulled on his restrains,giggling. "Huh? whahahat? Hellohohoho??" He asked. Tommy pulled on his restrains hardly. "Dahahahamn!! Stohohop! I cahant sehehe! This ihihisnt fahahair!!" Dream stopped

He walked over to the door and opened it, then closed it. "Hello? Im back" Dream announced. "Why dihihid you leheave?" Tommy asked, giggling slightly. "Whats that matter? And why are you giggling?" Dream replied. He walked over to tommy and took off his blindfold. Dream started undoing the restrains on his feet and hands. "Whats happening?" Tommy asked. "I wanna test something." dream replied.

Dream grabbed the hand restrains and put them in his pocket. he started walking towards tommy. Tommy backed up until he hit the wall. "Hey,whats happening? Dream?!" Tommy asked. He grabbed tommys arms with one hand and pinned them above his head. He used his other hand and grabbed the restrains. He restrained his arms above his head. "What?! HELLO?!? EXUSE ME?!" Tommy yelled. Dream backed up. Tommy struggled. "LET ME GO!!!" he yelled. "No, I have to run my test" Dream laughed.

Dream walked over to tommy. He lifted up his shirt. "H-Hey! What are you doing? Dream?!" Tommy yelled. "No! No no no nohohoho!!" "Already laughing? I havent even started!!" Dream said. "Now you have one last chance. Are you ticklish?" "I sahahaid no!" Tommy yelled. "okay then" Dream said. "Time to prove it." "Wait! no no no! Dream! We can tahahalk about thihihis!!" Tommy said. Dream ran his hands up and down Tommy's sides slowly. Tommy giggled quietly, slowly getting a little bit louder. "Dreheheham! Stohohohop! I dohohont like thihihis!!"

"i want my discs back. Your mistake" Dream said. He tickled tommy's stomach, using his fingernails to trace and draw shapes. Tommy erupted in muffled laughter. "Drehheheham! Nohohohohoho!!" Tommy yelled, knocking his head side to side. "you know what drove george crazy when we were little?" Dream asked. "whahahahat?" tommy answered, still giggling. "This!" Dream inhaled and blew rasberrys on Tommy's stomach. Tommy broke out into laughter. Not giggles, Laughter. "DREHEHEHEHEAM!! NOHOHOHO! I CAHAHHAHANT! PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!!!" Tommy shot his head back onto the brick wall. "OHOHOHOHOW!!" Dream stopped and inhaled. "Hmm, are you ticklish here?~" Dream asked. He moved his hands up to his armpits. He tickled tommy's armpits and he broke into quieter giggles. "Wahahait nohohoho stohohohohop!!" Tommy begged.

Dream stopped and let him breathe. He suddenly dropped Tommy's feet restrains. "Oh! Wait," Dream thought, bending down and sitting. Tommy had his eyes shut. "Tommy?" dream asked. " WhaaaAAAAAAAHAHAHHAT?!!! WAHAHAHAHAHAT THE FUHUHUHUUHUCKD DREHEHHEHEHEHEAM?!!!"Tommy shook and squirmed frantically. "oo~ Weak spot?" Dream asked. "NOHOHOHOHOHO! SHUHUHUHUHUT UHUHUHUHUHUHUP!!" Tommy yelled. Dream got up and went straight for his hips. Tommy laughed frantically. He couldnt even talk, tears streaming down his face.

Ph1LzA, who had just been walking by, heard the giant laughter coming from Dream's base, so he walked in. "what the-" Ph1LzA Watched closely. Tommy laughing and crying, dream tickling him mercilessly. He walked over and picked up Dream by the hips and put him over his shoulder. "AH!" Dream shook so hard his one shoe fell off. Ph1LzA Undid the restrains on tommy and he fell down, breathing. "Thanks Phil," Tommy thought. "Can I?" He mouthed. Ph1LzA looked over and nodded. "Only for like, a minute." He mouthed back.

Tommy walked over to dream,who was squirming trying to get out of his grip. Tommy ran his fingers up and down his socked foot. Dream erupted into giggles. "wahahahait! Phihihihilzahaha! Thahahats ot fahahahair!" Dream yelled. "Nohohohoho!!! Tohohohohomehehehehey!" "Alright Tommy." Ph1LzA said. He picked him up. "AH!" Tommy yelled. "You guys need to do this stuff at home." He said. "Hmph!" Tommy breathed. "He stole my discs!" Dream yelled.

Ph1LzA took them home. Tommy didnt talk to dream for a while. Dream occasionally tickled tommy,and they had tickle fights.

actually clarification on heartslabyul but i ran out of characters on discord since thats where im writing my notes. uhm. i love heartslabyul, everything about it, and the characters and story-- but. in all honesty. if you put me in heartslabyul id do HORRIBLE. i wouldnt get along with riddle at all even though hes my favorite.. id just. get really pissed off. like, cause im really stubborn?? so i do this thing where the more someone tells me to do something the more i dont want to. even when i probably should :'D

ok warning im adding in after writing all this i just ramble about bedrockverse and tmmyrp for like a bunch of paragraphs.

its kind of interesting to me to think abt tmmyrp sometimes. like he started as ctommy as this blog that would follow alongside the canon streams. when dream broke out of prison i had tmmyrp act as the aftermath of that stream and freak out on tumblr.

but at the same time hes so different than ctommy. for one i think hes honestly a bit too mature to be canon ctommy in how he handles conflict (i.e.: the argument with technoblade in december last year). hes so different and my silly idea of including every different tommy design by making him shapeshift has now had deep and important connections to the plot. tommy flew michael back to see ranboo when he was revived. tommy grew tulips when he and tubbo ran off to petalsbrough- AND OH PETALSBROUGH MY PETALSBROUGH.

tommy and tubbo genuinely getting scared enough of dream- who unlike in current canon was a real, up close, and consistent deeply terrifying threat- to LEAVE the main smp. the fact that its still connected by a long tundra path of like 1000 blocks to SNOWCHESTER. its so interesting and i love the lore of that location so much i forget it isnt real. tubbo built an apiary there that never got used. tommy built up a house that was nearly identical to his old one because he missed it so much. when dream found their location through ranboo, he started burrowing fucked up tunnels underneath it to navigate the island easier and always be right behind him. when tubbo left for techno and phil's, tommy hid in tubbos house because he was scared. and that nether portal island right next to it where that confrontation happened between him and dream was TERRIFYING but it felt so so canon it was amazing.

the difference there in how tommy acted in an exile 2 situation was that at that maturity level- both the canon amounts of growth and the added bits of tmmyrp- he knew what dream was trying to do, and just went completely blank and dissociated the fuck out and didnt even respond to anything he said.

and during all of that the shapeshifting bits became environmental storytelling. when he died the first time and spent a month in limbo with ghostbur, the flowers went from tulips to blue cornflowers and he gave one to ghostbur before he was revived. the longer he spent with dream, the more draconic features started appearing on him, and he went slightly numb in the rain because bits of enderman also appeared after an argument with ranboo right before dream showed up.

and the way that before petalsbrough and before dream started tracking him down closely, tommy had another argument with technoblade in the basement of technos house. this was after their massive argument too it had been a while. and tommy told techno about exile first before anyone else before even tubbo and i think thats something so important and interesting to think about. and so techno knew what was happening when tubbo realized dream had tommy, and he was the one to approach dream first to confront him. and goddd god the rest is history with that bit it was so amazing it was one of my favorite bits of lore weve done with those blogs if you have the time go back to early february or late january and just reread those threads we did they were amazing.

but also once he was saved, he started talking to songbird again and holy shit the crimeboys era (which we are still in) has been so great. its so similar to canon in how tommy can read him like a book, knows how he works. but tmmyrp consistently goes about it by just acting like HE wants to do something, and wilbur should join him because hes not just going to leave tommy alone to DIE now is he? and so he- while i dont think canon ctommy in any way needs to be the one to "save" cwilbur, this is different theres a lot of buildup and it isnt even "saving" so. yeah. but he swims in the river with wilbur and makes food with wilbur and hangs out with wilbur but not enough.

thats the thing. it wasnt enough. because before casinoroyale joined the group, songbird kind of didnt have anyone. tommy was still quite frankly scared of wilbur, and was off in petalsbrough dealing with dream- wilbur was the only person NOT THERE when dream died. well casino too but casino wasnt a part of the rp group yet lol. so there's this strange distance between songbird and tmmyrp thats been so tense and everyone can feel it up until like. pretty recently. maybe july?? maybe june?? only now has tmmyrp started going and hanging out with songbird in a casual friendly way again. and man i love those threads. the fucking queen dying in the middle of a thread with songbird and having him break down over it was the funniest shit in the world.

Alright so, they revealed that the revival book can do mind control as well, ive read spoilers about this and i was desperatrly hoping that I just misunderstood but sighhhhhhhh, no.

This is so fucking stupid man. The revival book was a really good concept because of how simple yet effective it is and how scary it would be for someone like Dream to have it, it doesnt need any more powers or whatever. Obviously the stuff with Ranboo being controlled by Dream to some extend has been planned for a really long time, and it does make sense, but they shouldve gone about it way differently. My fix is simple: bring DreamXD into this.

Like, right now it doesnt seem like Dream and DreamXD are connected in any meaningful way when Dream couldve been like, idk a worshipper of DreamXD who eventually earned his favor, or just a human that DreamXD thought was interesting and wanted to help occasionally so he'll keep entertaining him. Maybe he gets the revival book and immediately tries to test it out and then DreamXD appears and hes basically like "okay, i wont kill anyone for you or destroy anything or get too involved in all your petty mortal squabbles, but if you call for me I'll help you out bc Im so nice XD dont rely too much on me tho or else I'll kill you XD" and Dream is like "k i'll keep that in mind" and then when Ranboo shows up he calls for him like "okay, can you make me like, a mindlink to the new guy so I can control him" and XD is like "okay, sure, I wont help you anymore though" and Dream agrees and thats that. c!Quackity canonically has a fat ass + why that fact actually has some narrative importance for his character

Yeah I’m making a whole post about the surprisingly controversial size of Quackity’s ass, just, stick with me here. also heads up im gonna stop sayin “c!” and just saying the names but just know im only talking abt characters lol

Anyway. First of all, let’s discuss the opposite belief: Quackity is a flatty patty. It was a running joke on the smp, and it was started by Schlatt the day after they won the election. The days before when they had planned their joint presidency, Schlatt had established that Quackity’s whole value and purpose in the cabinet was for him to be pretty and have a fat ass. Now, do we really trust Schlatt’s judgement? The man was a drunk and just plain abusive. I’m not entirely sure if the other members of the Manburg cabinet joined in, but I know that if they did it wasn’t nearly as often as Schlatt, so he was definitely the spearhead of the “flat ass q” truthers. But, even Schlatt contradicted himself from time to time. He said multiple times, including his death scene, that Quackity and his “fat ass” left him, even though he later said “flatty patty” as his last words. Basically, tldr, i think Schlatt’s opinion is irrelevant and he contradicts himself too much to be taken seriously.

Alternatively, there are multiple scenes of Wilbur being caught staring at Q’s ass, anywhere between the very beginning of the elections all the way to Niki’s birthday party. Once when building the White House, once during the stream “we must get voters”, once when Tommy and Q told him about Plan Ass, and honestly probably a few more times that i just don’t remember right now. I trust him a bit more because hes fruity because he had no reason to make Quackity, his rival, feel better about his body. Plus, they even thought his ass was a solid enough plan to actually try out.

Now for why it matters narratively.

Schlatt changed Quackity and I think we all know that. He belittled Quackity all the time and I believe a lot of the way he thinks is built off of that now. I think he has been put down by people like Schlatt (and even Techno just by not treating him as a real threat) so much that he now has this concept that everyone looks at him that way, like hes worthless and can’t do anything right because all he’s good for is his looks.

I feel like a very important part of this is that he actually does look the way Schlatt initially said he did, but Schlatt then made him think that was what he should put all his worth into and used that information to hurt Q and emphasize that Schlatt was the leader and Quackity was nothing. And obviously, Schlatt calling Quackity stuff like flatty patty did hurt him a lot, because what if it was true? What if Schlatt was right and he was worthless now? It really pissed him off to hear it (and still does it seems) and in that first stream he immediately got to work on a workout thing that would make him have a fatter ass and kept calling Schlatt over to see if he approved or if he was proud. It was fucked up honestly.

Now he’s trying to work past that. He’s trying to be the big powerful guy who can do whatever he wants. We can see that a lot in how he always tries to prove that he could defeat Techno (someone he has a serious grudge against) and can crush Dream’s spirit. Mf has always been obsessed with power, the only difference is that now he has better weapons, armor, and a country of his own. Maybe that’s why he sounded so smug sending Wilbur away. He really thought “thats right, im better than Wilbur, this is my country and its stronger and better and it doesn’t need you.” Plus now he’s seeing that Wilbur respects him as an opponent, so he’s just as addicted to this rivalry as Wilbur is.

Long story short:

Techno found a pouch of gold in his ‘house’ later that day. he didnt know who left it but it helped him get food for that night. (he kept the crown)

The Children's Rebellion|Revenge / DSMP Fanfic [Space AU - Tommy-centric] / Thoughts

Children of the Stars is the series that The Children's Rebellion is in, but people recognize the name 'The Children's Rebellion' on its own more so yeah.

The fic is nice. I cried. I'd recommend reading it. The first work is finished, standing at a nice 58 chapters. There's a sort of in-between story that happens after for Christmas [AND THEN there's a SEQUEL that happens after that continues the story because it's not done. its ongoing and im going to take you with me to suffer from the cliffhangers.] I don't wanna spoil much for you if you haven't actually seen the fic but are still reading what I'm saying because it's better when you experience it on your own, but Golden Duo POG

Basically Space AU but with Origins SMP kinda mixed into it. It's Tommy-Centric, and basically let me just tell you the summary it gives you.

"In which Tommy Innes, son of Sam Innes, Avian extraordinaire, meets up with old friends (all of whom are traumatized) and drags his new family and friends through a galaxy of problems (okay, maybe HIS galaxy of problems, because he refuses to tell anyone anything unless his tooth is being yanked out) because of some Avian named Chroma that really really wants child soldiers."

It tells the story really well, and honestly I'd recommend just trying it out, even if you think it might not be your cup of tea, because you never know. Hell, I don't like space AUs that much but I just LOVED this.

Also for once Dream not the bad guy woo- I'm like 80% sure Chroma's an OC but if Chroma's an actual person I never found out about please correct me.

So basically.. The story is complicated from an outside perspective so I can't really explain it. But. ..The Children's Rebellion is an event that happened on.. This is really testing my memory which remembers.. not a lot, honestly. I swear I'll do reviews on fics that I didn't read months ago so you won't have to bear with this.

But uh.. Tommy, Ranboo, Purpled, Hannah(?) and I believe someone else were what started The Children's Rebellion, Tommy being the leader. Uh. Because so Chroma is a dick and decided 'oh yeah why not make my own child army' or some shit and then decided to execute the people who go against him or are I believe too weak, and then said that if they didn't clap then they wouldn't get food, because everyone was starving there.

But they kinda just started a rebellion, and even sacrificing their lives, in which Tommy, Ranboo, and Purpled were the only ones left. The children did the Rebellion's symbol, which I believe is the middle finger, pointer finger, and the thumb out, meaning Fuck you, Loser, and Peace, because if it was just the middle finger then schools wouldn't actually show it in history.

It gets really complicated, but they kinda get to different places, and Purpled and Ranboo get help on the I believe L'manburg something, its like a ship thats run by the DSMP crew, but then Tommy ran off because I think he had to do something, but Purpled was too weak to do anything after being sick during majority of the time when the Children's Rebellion was happening, and then I think Ranboo got hurt really badly.

So then they end up in different places, Tommy kinda being in this.. place. I'd like to call it a prison but I don't know anymore. agh.

I forgot to mention too that Tommy's an Avian, and like the only other Avian was Chroma. (When you read the fic don't correct me.)

Anyway.

Avians age I think really fucking fast, and die soon. Avians are going to go extinct because no one likes each other romantically, and therefore no reproducing. :'D

Except them trying to get back at Chroma eventually ofc because the fucker needs to be put in his place kinda..

Well there's a sequel where we're still trying to get rid of Chroma.

Currently we are stuck on a cliffhanger after cliffhanger.

I'm terrified we're all going to die, or someone is going to die.
