disgusting Part 6: Common Ground
author comments and additional trivia under the cut
So it's a dooozy to explain what all of this means, so I would not. But I can give you additional trivia! Not for everything what is mentioned here (because I'm evil).
Avici - the lowest level of hell. The eternal damnation. Unfortunately for our boy, you need to commit very specific crimes to get there. And Phantom is not passing any of them.
Fox Window - is a real thing you can google it and do it for yourself (if your fingers are flexible enough). But you can get cursed, so like. Do it with adult supervision
It's a lake reed.
Cut parts of the text on the last panel is the lines from 'The Case of the Murder on D. Hill' by Edogawa Ranpo. It makes sense in context.

For your Dandadan AU. Are we in a "Modern Setting" (e.i. No bending)? Or you are having their "supernatural powers" be homages to their bending powers?
Something tells me that Aang is going to get the Jiji role. Only Aang to be that goofy, and do the thing that will happen in Season 2.
Are you also having Kanna as the stand-in for Seiko?
Hi, and thanks for asking!
I'll be leaving this over here and the rest of the lore under the cut.

The Dandadan AU takes place in a modern setting, much like the anime/manga does. There are legends about people who could control the elements in ancient times, but those are just tales—humans can't bend.
Spirits and Yokai, however, are a different story.
Each character's supernatural abilities reflect their original bending prowess! Zuko is a bit of an exception, since I'm leaning towards the shadow and stealth aspect of the Blue Spirit. Fire is still there, just in a different form.
Katara has natural bloodbending powers which the Painted Lady enhances. Whenever Katara taps into the yokai's curse on her, she becomes able to control water as well. Azula (in Aira's role!) will get lightning, illusion, and deception powers from a Kemurikage yokai.
Seiko's role gets passed on to Hama and Iroh. They're both part of the White Lotus, a society of mediums and yokai hunters from all nations.
Hama is Katara's Gran Gran, a stern and rather intense old woman who has made several deals with the Gods of the Land. She delivers corrupted souls to them in exchange for strength, protection, and an emergency tap into the bloodbending powers that she wouldn't be able to harness otherwise.
Meanwhile, Iroh becomes spiritually enlightened after his son's death. He's a beacon for corrupted spirits and bloodthirsty yokai—mostly because of his unnatural ability to rehabilitate said beings. The Painted Lady is one such yokai, and isn't it ironic that Iroh's own nephew is now one of his patients?
Hama sends most of the yokai she hunts down to Iroh due to his ability for dealing with them. If Iroh can't help a yokai move on peacefully, she finishes the job. Not because he can't do it, but Hama is the one who does what she considers to be "the fucking bulk of the iceberg" and Iroh can't take all the credit for it, damn it.
As for Aang...
The Avatar State is terrifying, which makes it the perfect stand in for the thing. Aang has such an outstanding amount of spiritual energy that he's a beacon for all spirits and yokai out there. Which...isn't good. Especially when one of the most ancient and powerful spirits out there wants to possess him.
Which leads us to the Avatar State.
I made the choice to remove his power over the four elements to focus instead on something much more interesting and fitting for this AU: energybending.
The Avatar is able to manipulate all vital and spiritual energy around him, as well as give or take everyone else's powers at will. This makes him pretty much the most dangerous being to ever exist, since he can make everyone powerless by simply willing it so.
As for the Avatar's motivation? He's a protective yet ruthless spirit that has laid dormant for thousands of years, but a certain event woke him up to a world in disarray. His purpose has always been to keep balance in the world, but the concept itself of balance can be easily corrupted.
The Avatar comes from a world that doesn't exist anymore—a far better place that he wishes to recreate and bring to life once more. Even if he must destroy this version of earth to birth it anew.

Those scream Extreme Sokkaism#About Sokka tho#I'm still figuring out his role in all this. As well as Toph’s and Suki's and some other characters.#I'm placing Azula in Aira's role (except for the crush obviously) because I think the antagonism and mommy issues work perfectly with Lala.#I'm thinking Mai as Rin Sawaki. She's got the vibes and the potential and—hey! —the crush too!!!#Come to think of it Aang as Vamola had potential but c'mon Jiji was right there. Perhaps Ty Lee? Hmm#What about the rest of the characters? Toph as Zuma? Suki as...Suki? What do you think?#I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas! Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Another installation of the MonsterHunter!AU
Context: a baku is a demon/yokai that eats bad dreams. It has a lot of depictions, often in modern times its design is loosely based on the Malayan tapir. So I picture reader as being a tapir girl, with the cute ears, and some teeny tusks. And that really cute mottling that baby tapirs have bc it’s my post and I do what I want. But she can look however you like, really.
While Price often takes killing bounties, Ghost is a bit less picky. He doesn’t mind capturing monsters alive and delivering them to the highest bidder.
Lately, there’s been a trend amount the local nobles. Get a baku, and it will eat your child’s bad dreams, they say. So demand is high. These people don’t know that a baku can also eat your hopes and ambitions if it isn’t well fed on nightmares, but Ghost doesn’t really care to inform them.
It was supposed to be a quick and easy job— be back before dinner. But things often don’t go to plan in this line of work. If you can manage to find a baku, capture is easy. They don’t have a means of really defending themselves, and they’re docile by nature. Ghost doesn’t realize how attractive such a thing is to other bounty hunters.
He doesn’t even tie your hands when he finds you. Baku are not stupid. You know he’s faster and stronger than you are. The rival bounty hunters throwing a weighted net over you don’t realize this.
He spends half the day taking them down one by one as you’re dragged behind them in the forest. Not enough time to travel back to the guild, he has to camp out. Ghost uses his knife to cut you loose. Out of precaution, he draws his symbol on your back with a prick of his blood so you’ll be bound to his vicinity. But he doesn’t see the sense in keeping you cramped in the net.
He manages to forget what you are when he gets to sleep. You amble to his side when he starts to thrash with the visions of dead heaped up across the landscape. You sigh, gently planting a hand on his chest and coaxing the vapor of his dreams from him.
It’s the best you’ve had. So addicting you follow the plume straight to his mouth, kissing him through the cloth of his mask. It tastes of glistening red, of a brittle splintering husk, like ichor pouring from the wound of a god.
Simon startles when he awakes and sees the position of the sun in the sky. Much later than he’s risen in years. And he slept through the night, entirely uninterrupted, which is completely unheard of.
And he feels like a fucking new man. The light of the sun doesn’t feel like punishment against his skin, piercing beneath the thin membrane of his eyelids. He feels light. Packs up camp, nearly overflowing with energy,
You smile at him, flicking your little tapir ears. You look good, too. Healthy, shining hair and bright eyes. Strangely pretty, for a dream demon. You follow him closely without much provocation when he decides it’s time to get going.
He thinks about forgoing the bounty. His sigil fades from your back, falling in rusted flakes from the large white patch of your two-toned fur. He’ll get something more permanent for you when you’re back at the guild. He’s certain he has enough nightmares to keep you fed for the rest of his life.

You Think You Know Me (But You Don't) - AU Concept
Gargoyle Raph
🔹Scroll down for different color schemes
🔹sketch and reference pictures
🔹My Art & Comics Masterpost
[Leo] Raph [Mikey] [Donnie]
Summary:
Some time after the krang invasion word gets to Big Mama that there are still a few of Draxum's oozesquitoes buzzing around, so she hires a skilled gargoyle tracker & hunter to find them so she can mutate fighters for her Battle Nexus.
When Raph and his brothers get in the way, the gargoyle yokai squishes one of the bugs he caught to coat his claws with mutagen. Naturally Draxum had created his mutagen to have no effect on his fellow yokai-kind, but the same is not true of mutants.
Raph is clawed during the fight and double mutates into a gargoyle turtle before his brothers eyes.
At first Raph's brothers think his mutation is great and are jelly of his new abilities (such as increased strength, stamina, and flight without the need for jet-pack assisted hover tech), but Raph wants rid of it and they go to Draxum for a solution. However the warrior alchemist had no reason to create an antidote to his own mutagen and while he and Donnie work on a cure Raph comes to appreciate aspects of his new mutation.
He's stronger, swifter, keen of sight, and fierce - qualities he feels enables him to better keep his family safe and time and time again prove useful during fights.
But the longer it takes Draxum to find a cure the more of himself Raph is losing to the double mutation - the more aggressive and cutthroat he becomes and the less tender and loving he acts towards his family.
His brothers become worried about the changes in his personality but Raph insists they're for the better.
Perhaps this is who he was meant to be all along and the mutation brought out the best in him.
Perhaps his family never really knew who he was all this time - perhaps everything they thought about him was wrong, the things they used to love about him were really nothing more than his weaknesses and flaws that used to hold him back (but no more).
Perhaps he wants to stay this way.
. . .
And perhaps he wants his brothers to join him...

Other colors I played around with:
I've got a headache so didn't bother with shading and a background, I might come back to it later to finish it up - or maybe not.
(This is just an idea, I've got other things I'm working on so I don't have plans on actually writing this au)

I’ve got it so bad, I’m writing dandadan AU fanfic.
I’ll post to Ao3 if I have the time and can figure it out. I’m not usually a fic writer, but I was buzzing to do this. For now, here’s chapter one of a Yokai!Ken fic. (He doesn’t appear til chapter 2, sorry!)
Premise: Momo Ayase is a disillusioned 22-year-old grad student doing everything she can to avoid her reality-breaking psychic powers. Ken Takakura is a spirit haunting a crusty old hospital… and the two of them are the only thing standing between Kamigoe City and an alien invasion.
Had they not appeared (or, rather, disappeared) in the winter, Momo Ayase may never have noticed the missing stars at all.
- - -
There was a time, once, when she believed it might have been possible to impress her grandmother. That version of herself, fifteen years younger and awed with the magic of it all, had checked out a book of constellations from the library. Her grandmother could see men’s hearts painted in the signs of the natural world - perhaps, she thought, she could learn to do the same with the stars.
Ursa Major. Ursa Minor. Cassiopeia. Pegasus. Each page showed a cluster of dots superimposed with the fantastical image they bore and a retelling of the story they claimed. There was Andromeda, bound to the rock, and Cetus, the great sea monster who would devour her. She brought the book back home to her grandmother, eager to share what she’d learned.
“The Greek myths ain’t like the Japanese ones,” her grandmother said, flipping idly through the pages. “Neither are the groupings. This big one here-“ she tapped Andromeda with her fingernail “-this is actually four separate constellations, the way I was taught it.”
Momo had tried to yank the book back, sick with the shame of being corrected, but her grandmother was faster; she stood up, holding the book well out of the girl’s protesting reach, and continued to slowly flip through the pages. The woman’s attention, once won, was agonizing.
“This one, though…” Momo had her back to her grandmother, arms crossed in defiance. Then, she heard the settling of fabric as the woman knelt back down to her level.
“Tell me about this one, Momo.”
The girl held still for one, two moments before her curiosity won out. She turned back around to find her grandmother holding the book open to the page with the portrait of the hunter.
“That’s Orion,” she said.
“What’s his story?”
Momo hadn’t found Orion nearly as interesting as the princesses or the monsters, and the childrens book of constellations hadn’t had much to say about him. She drew what she could.
“He was a giant who wanted to hunt every animal, so a goddess of the earth sent a scorpion to kill him.”
“Show him to me in the sky.”
They stepped out together into the courtyard. It was a cool, clear night, the stars a bright, impossible mess without the printed lines to connect them. Momo scanned the sky slowly, starting overhead and then down to the horizon. Then, a triumphant sense of recognition.
“There!” she said. “Over the shed, just to the left.”
Her grandmother nodded, already facing that direction. “How did you find him?”
“Those three stars. He’s shaped like a man, and that’s his belt.”
Her grandmother sat down on the ground, unceremoniously tracing a finger through the dirt. The moon cast just enough light to see the outline of the same shape on the ground below.
“Those three stars are mitsu boshi. They make a belt here, too. Look.” She drew two ovals in the dirt, one at Orion’s shoulders, and one at the hem of his tunic. “That’s the drum, tsuzumi boshi. The belt’s the rope holding the drum heads taut.”
Momo studied the dirt, then checked the sky again. Now, it was easier to see the drum than it was to see the man.
“And look here,” instructed her grandmother. She drew a shape to the left of the constellation - a woman twice the size of the hunter. “Now it’s sode boshi - the whole hunter is just a lady’s kimono sleeve.”
This one was harder to place, but she willed herself to see it: the outstretched arm of a great, graceful woman in the sky.
“Everyone sees them differently,” explained her grandmother. “Same stars, different stories.”
She blinked. Orion again. Then the drum. Then the woman. How was anyone to discern the future from that?
“What does it mean, though?”
“It means it’s cold. Get your butt back inside.”
- - -
Most of the names and placements had faded from her memory. At 22, Momo could pick out only a few: the Big Dipper and Little Dipper (if she found one, she could find the other), the Pleaides (“Subaru,” she could hear her in her grandmother's voice, tucked neatly into Taurus), and Orion (the drum, the woman), which remained the easiest of them all to spot.
It was already dark out when she left work. Another two months of this, she thought, miserably. The cold weather was fun for the first couple weeks after she unpacked her winter wardrobe, but she quickly lost interest as night crept earlier and earlier. She headed south toward the train station, eager to get home. Whatever mood she was to find her grandmother in, at least there would be a warm dinner waiting for her.
She noticed Orion, accomplice to all this damned cold, hanging low in the sky. On winter nights, he led the way to the station, skimming the rooftops. She didn’t mistake it for chivalry, though. He was running backwards, one arm grasping that great bow.
Big game for a kimono sleeve. Big game for a guy missing his belt.
She blinked. What the fuck?
The sky was cloudless and her view was unobstructed. There was the familiar triangle of his shoulders, his arm and the bow. There was the hem of his tunic. But his belt, the mitsu boshi, was gone. Had she missed some sort of stellar event? Surely when the stars changed, they either went out with a bang or faded so slowly that it would take lifetimes to notice. And all three of them?
“Get over or get moving!” demanded a gruff voice.
She hadn’t realized she’d stopped dead in her tracks, blocking the sidewalk. She opened her mouth to snap back but couldn’t draw anything up. She started walking again and Orion was obscured by an office building. She pulled out her phone and opened her internet browser.
supernova
black hole
missing stars
orion
orion’s belt Belt
No headlines about disappearing stars. No indication that one of the most recognizable portions of the sky had gone dark. She pocketed her phone again, sighing. The building dropped out of view, opening her line of sight to the sky again.
What the fuck.
His belt was back, but his shoulders were gone. He was only visible from the waist down. Momo’s stomach dropped. Whatever it was she was missing, whatever she wasn’t comprehending, it left her disoriented. She began walking faster toward the station, keeping her gaze locked straight ahead. Couldn’t be a black hole - not when the stars came back. Could it be a cloud, after all? A very small, dense cloud? She didn’t want to look, but the hunter was running right at the corner of her vision. Why was she afraid to look at him?
I’m not afraid.
She removed herself from the flow of foot traffic on the sidewalk, stepping into the alcove of a little storefront. There was the hunter again, perfectly whole. But now, she could see it clearly - a black circle in the sky, hovering right above Orion. It was darker than the night around it, like a perfect cookie-cutter bite taken out of space.
There was a hole in the sky. It was getting bigger. And, as far as Momo Ayase could tell, it was hovering directly above the old hospital.

He eventually gets better at it, it just takes him a while to get there. One knows mystics and is good at some mystic stuff, so is gonna be specially frustraiting not to be able to control the odashi, Draxum's expectations on him don't really help. but he'll get there!! I do have a few episodes planned that tackle all of these
He doesnt really care about most of the scars, if asked, he's more likely to just shrugg it off and say they are from training or from a mission (not a lie)
there's just a couple of them that would get him excited to actually talk about (some on his shell) and I had thought to make a short comic on it, but it's been a while since I started this au and I've got so liitle out and so much of the story to tell so it's been discarted for now
When it comes specificaly to the ones from the vines, he would never in a million years admit what had happened. everyone is 100% on the dark on how he got them until the event I've dubbed Vine 2: Electric Boogaloo (more here) and even then, he would want and wont talk about them
when it comes to the others reaction those are part of the story I want to keep to myself until I can draw that part and tell the story properly, I believe I've talked about it a little bit before, you can scroll down the #slau seed tag on the askblog to look for more things
thank you!
Shredder stuff pretty much happens the same as canon, there's just a bit of a side quest going on too with Mikey trying to get Draxum and One to actually bond and get along
@jayonlyexisting
1- not really, at least not conciously, but I've realized a few paralells between him and other characters I like, I've never considered the Zuko vibes but I've got a few people mentioned the Hunter vibes, and with that I can agree to (1 / 2 / halloween edition/ theres also a few drawings I've made joking about it but I cant find them rn, I'll post them later... probably)
On a side note, I was watching lilo and stitch and One also has a lot of Stitch vibes if we go for the more gremlin and destructive side of him and I think thats really funny, is also not the first time I've thought about that
2- Splinter knew he existed in the "I know there were 4 turltes" when the whole mutation stuff happened, but as far as he knows at some point while running away he must had dropped one turtle and didnt noticed until it was too late and he couldnt go back for him. He saw the lab explode, so all the time he has thought that turtle died
they actually meet each other after the events of Shadow of Evil, but they have seen each other a couple of times before, one time is a made up episode I have planned and the other is piggybacking on The Fast and the Furriest, being the very first time they see each other, tho is for a very short time as One is already leaving
I dont wanna talk about it much, as I like more when a story tells itself, but Splinter at this point knows his sons have been hangin out with a new friend and that fried is from the Hidden City, they had just balantly hidden the part about knowing Draxum made them and also made this other guy at the same time, but Splinter does recognize One and later the others have to explain on how they know him and what exaclty they know
One doesnt really care about Splinter, he's just this random mutant/yokai that adopted the other experiments and is an obstacle on his mission to get them to join Draxum. One know their dad doesnt like him, cause he thinks One's being a bad infuence on his sons (and One thinks thats funny), One also knows he's the one who thought them to fight, but thats pretty much it

Redesign of my Mona Lisa in this AU! Also updated her info.
Extra facts about her:
Her real name is Monica Lish.
She used to be a human with a dream of becoming a respected scientist and winning a Nobel Prize. After being bitten by a ooezquito, she mutated into a Komodo dragon and fled her home
She adopted the alias "Mona Lisa" because she has a certain complex of forgetting her identity as she is now a "monster."
She's originally from a very rural area of Texas and grew up on a estate with her family.
She has a somewhat thick southern accent.
After being stung by the ooezquito, she ran away from home. By chance, she ended up in the Yokai World, in a Western-style town (I still don't have a name for it xD).
She can use many types of weapons, but she mainly uses bolas, an anti-magic lasso, and learned to master the mystical vines of Draxum. She mastered this skill after looting his abandoned laboratory, and it's her primary skill for fighting and working.
she can crawl, climb, and run on all fours. This gives her the ability to stealth and escape.
She has poison in her mouth. It's a very dangerous mutant poison that she only uses in emergencies. But she developed a cure in case she accidentally uses it, so she has her own antidote.
She's a great rival of Leatherhead (I'll show this in the future in my universe), since he is also a bounty hunter and they are direct competitors.
She has a moral and ethical code when it comes to work, so this is one of the main reasons for the mutual hatred between her and Leatherhead.
Raphael fell in love with her when he saw her being a tough and brave girl, although this doesn't prevent him from treating her and speaking to her like a lady (and she doesn't mind)
She spent a long time investigating the origin of the ooezquitos and the mutagen. After much research and attempts to reverse the mutagen, she discovered Draxum's identity. She identifies him as "The mad scientist who ruined her life."
After her discovery of Draxum and learning that he's related to Raphael, sadly, this greatly complicated their relationship.
At first, she didn't get along with Donnie, as he treated her like an ignoramus and didn't think she was that smart for being from the South and raised on a ranch. Mona shut him up, proving to be just as smart as him. From then on, they became very good friends and shared many topics of conversation, making Raph a little jealous.
Her essence is inspired by Bride from Creature Commandos
--------------------------------

Usagi Yuichi Ref
Rural Au masterpost
CW: FAMILY/PARENT/SIBLING DEATH MENTION
Even though Yuichi won't be introduced for a while in the actual comic, I really wanted to redesign him and make him more?? Idk, I just didn't like the previous design and have been meaning to redesign him for a while.
Yuichi is Leo's best friend/rival (and later love interest). He lives in the hidden yokai village with his aunt and little sister. Him and all the other yokai in the village are hesitant to trust Splinter due to him being a human, and thus refer to him as Splinter rather than learning his name. They are wary of humans due to a previous encounter with human hunters in the area. Yuichi's father and older brother were the protectors of the village ( a task that has been passed down through his family since the village was founded by his Grandfather) and were killed by humans. His mother died during the birth of his sister and his aunt is their last family member alive to care for them. Yuichi is training to become the village's next protector, but he doesn't want to do that. He enjoys the quiet life of farming and would rather take over the farm.
He and Leo met during a trip to the village with Raph and Mikey (Yoshi sent them to retrieve medicine for Donnie) and instantly hated each other. Then they realized they have similar interests and became rivals/friends. Leo's feelings for him are extremely complicated, and vice versa.
Yuichi does know about the war, because the yokai in the village are way more in touch with the goings on of the human world. They are prepared in case the war somehow reaches them, but Yuichi finds it hard to relax. He doesn't want to tell Leo because Donnie asked him not to. Donnie also doesn't like Yuichi very much due to an incident when they were younger, though he learns to come around to him later after realizing how petty it was.

Leo and Donie characters concepts
Heey! I have been working in a separated pirate Au. This is my first time doing this so it is going to be messy. I decided to start by showing the character idea of Leo and Donie, only because they are the only ones that i have fully defined. I hope you enjoy it (and understand it LMAO)
Also, i'm not an artist so the drawings are ugly and my first language isn't english so if something is badly written it will be nice if you correct me nicely!
I'm doing my best don't yell at me pls.
★Leo
The big mama's boy.
Okay so, he's a pirate. Probably the most annoying one on earth. The darling of the queen of the seas, Big Mama is the greatest pirate alive today (can she still be counted as one?) Any land that is not strictly under the rule of the Foot clan is in some way or another closely intertwined with she and her empire. Hundreds of men stealing for her, the largest arena ever seen, monumental wealth accumulated. All of this for her and her baby boy.
And the only thing that her little sweetie has to do for keeping all that is steel for his mother. Make her riches even bigger and get her new wrestlers for her show. But that's not a problem for Leo, he enjoys the pirate's life. He enjoys the party, the ocean, the tavern's fights, the hunger, the monster and selling out his comrades to his mother's hellish game. Leo definitely doesn't want to run away. What more could he ask for? He can even proudly wear his mother's symbol on his skin! Carved into his shell when he was little, so he'll never forget to who where he belongs :)
(if you're wondering what Leo looks like, for the sake of my stress levels it's the same as the episode where he dresses as a pirate but without the mask)
Another important thing about this dum dum is that he's the only one of is brothers that doesn't feel alone. Because he has a yokai who's only job is to take care of him (mostly from his own stupidities), who have been traveling companions for years and is his closest friend:
Miyamoto Yuichi Usagui
★Donie
The creature from the bottom of the ocean
I have to be honest, this wasn't the result i expected. I had kind of a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do with Don. My first idea was to send him with the foot, i wasn't really convinced by that. But then, talking with my sister about how Splinter lost the turtles it came out the idea of him drowning but surviving because he's a water turtle, and then it comes out the joke of him ending with a group of sirens.
The thing is that i actually really like that idea.
So yeah, Donatello is a mermaid, wassup?
The mermaids were dangerous creatures a long time ago, with their songs they can drown every ship they want. No matter how strong or dangerous the men in the boat were, they cannot resist them. That was until the terrestrial ones figured out how mute their singing, now the sirens can only eat clueless sailors or novices in those lands, who did not know that they were there. But then, the men wanted more, Not just survive. They no longer just wanted to keep their lives, now they wanted to take the mermaid's ones.
And the mermaids aren't battle creatures, They have sharp teeth and claws but they cannot pierce steel, their scales are hard but a good sword can cut them, and all their strength was useless when they were pulled from the water, leaving them defenseless.
The sirens were dying, that is, until a school of mermaids found an ugly, green, and strange sea creature that they decided to adopt as a pet. But it results that their little pet was more smartest than what they think, learning to swim, walk, talk and hunt. Becoming part of the shoal, not like a pet but another sister, a slower, younger one, with legs instead of a tail. But clever, very clever, a shell-bound siren who, learning from those above, would use shipwrecks to improve the lives of mermaids by giving them shields and weapons, allowing the ladies to become hunters once and for all.
Okay, first of all, as soon as I can, I'm going to upload a general design of the mermaids so I can compare it with Donie's, since everything he wears is heavily based on his sisters' style. Second, in this au Donatello uses both feminine and masculine pronouns, according to him because he's a male turtle but he's also a siren. So don't be confused if I call her "she."
Donatello didn't have the siren's song; with her double tail (her legs) she couldn't swim as fast as the rest. She felt useless, but she had to do something to help. And so, observing the ships and the people on the surface, Donatello began to venture into the world of construction and science, creating weapons and armor for her sisters and himself. Using wrecks from sunken ships to create the battleshield. Using pieces of swords and nets to create armor for the mermaids' tails, preventing them from being easily cut, plants for camouflage. The sirens become more tactical, they start to hunt, Not only looking for food but also for more material for the turtle to build weapons for them.
In the same way, as it shows on the draw, Donie starts to use his inventions for himself. Using the tail's armor to keep his legs together helping him to swim, camouflaging himself to break the bottom of the ship. He became someone really important for his family and his shoal became really stronger and powerful.
But then. Why does he still feel like he doesn't belong? Why does he still feel so attached to the surface? Why does he feel like he's missing something?
She is naturally curious, she wants to get out of the water and see everything. But, deep down, she wants to know why and where that ancient memory comes from, in which she sinks into the cold sea while someone calls her name.
Oh well, that's it.
I'm kinda scared of this. I hope you understood and liked it. If you have any questions, please ask.
Soon (i hope) I'll be posting the Mickey and Raph part, I also plan to explain more about the world building. Let me know what you think and want!

𝙎𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 𝙄𝘿𝙀𝘼𝙎
(Weird ideas i have that I so badly wanna share about many different shows, movies, books, games, etc.)
𝗛𝘅𝗛
APOCALYPSE AU: Hxh but basically a waste land kinda like meteor city but everywhere. Maybe there are enemies that were once human that got infected but instead of being zombies they’re terrifying monsters. Gon and Killua are trying to be apart of the hunters, a group of survivors attempting to reform society, but some members are corrupt. Killua family is an infamous group of rich skilled agents rumored to have played a part in causing the apocalypse. The phantom troupe is a rebel group that goes around looting and pillaging what’s left of society. So gon is fighting for his life trying to find his dad that he’s not even sure is alive, while facing all these enemies.
Monster au: (I thought of this during October but sadly never adapted it into writing) Ok so basically every character is part monster, gon I was thinking maybe a centaur or faun. And Killua would be either vampire, or some animal mix like part cat. Phantom troupe would be so interesting cause it’s a mix of random monsters that don’t by nature go together but they all work together so well. I was thinking Kurapika is a rare breed of demon that’s basically extinct because people hunted them for their scarlet eyes. And Hisoka would be an arachnid hybrid(spider hybrid) because his bungee gum reminds me of spider webs.(idk how nen would work in this au tho)
My Yandere ideas of Hxh(I separated these ideas cause I know some people don’t like Yandere stuff)
Yandere platonic Phantom Troupe: this came to me in the middle of the night. This idea could work with a reader insert, but I have this idea in the back of my mind basically Yandere platonic Phantom Troupe but with Gon and Killua like the Phantom troupe becomes obsessed with them. And like part of the story is literally Gon and Killua trying to outrun this troupe of psychos that randomly became obsessed with them. This is such a random idea but I haven’t seen this anywhere unless it’s like a reader insert.
Asylum au: this is such a stretch from the original HxH story. Basically it’s an asylum containing the phantom troupe, Killua, Gon, and other side characters. The main doctors would be Leorio and kurapika, which would be so strange to see like kurapika is a corrupt doctor trying to secretly kill the phantom troupe aka his patients because of what they did to his family(I started ranting lol). so basically I feel like this could work with both romantic and platonic Yandere. Like for romantic the reader is a of age doctor working there that attracts possessive murderous of age fan group. Then for platonic the readers a patient there that patients and doctors get obsessed with and view as family.
Lost World: the reader is transported through a portal to a weird world that appears to be deserted but in fact is not. She meets gon and Killua but they are like on the brink of insanity, the world is driving all of them insane. They feel whole around you, the phantom troupe are monstrous drivin mad by the strange world that surrounds them they feel you are the missing part in the troupe. Everyone around you looks human but they hold dark attributes.
Demon slayer
GHOSTS au: instead of demons they are ghosts, they would be called Yokai(Japanese spirits). They would arguably be worse than demons because you can’t see them. The slayers would have to do a lengthy very painful training to gain the ability to see the Yokai. They would become ghosts by recruitment, the person would die and another Yokai would come and make them vengeful spirits. Because of their strong bond Tanjiro can see nezuko when she becomes a Yokai.
Modern au: the demons still exist it’s just set in modern setting. And the demons have not adapted to the modern day so they are super confused when a slayer hits them with a car. There would be a lot more guns and the hashira is seen as insane by the public. I feel like that would be so funny.
Yandere ideas
Demon reader: this has been done before but I feel like some people don’t understand how freaked out the slayers would be when a child demon shows up out of nowhere. This would be rough to explain to the hashira, but you win over their heart(not sure if that’s a good thing). The uppermoons would be weirdly parental and possessive towards you. It’s like a giant custody battle between the demons and the hashira. (This is the only idea I got sorry)
Percy Jackson (the books also im going of the first 5 books cause I haven’t read the rest lol)
Yandere platonic ideas:
(Yes I’m jumping into Yandere because i have this insane idea that I need to let out my system) ok so either camp half blood or the gods like are obsessed with Percy.(IN A PLATONIC WAY) I feel like for camp half blood they see him as this brother figure, he protected them and was there for them naturally they grew attached like really attached. And for the gods I see this applying more to Poseidon because that’s his dad but the gods see Poseidon acting insanely possessive and they don’t do anything.
Gods and their children: so basically after the war with Kronos the gods finally realized how precious their own children’s lives are. Even though in the books the gods weren’t emotional over the slaughter of their kids but in my AU they are. Tears are streaming down their faces. They all kinda just try and be better parents but become to smothering about it. Some even go as far as to sort of lock their kids away for a little bit, they don’t see it as kidnapping they see it as protection.
Camp half blood falls: basically the magic barrier protecting the camp broke and all hell literally broke lose. Monsters invaded the camp and almost everyone dies. The only reason some survived is because they were able to run they are seriously injured though. It’s the main characters that we hear about from each cabin (Annabeth, Percy, Clarisse, Nico, will, the stoll brothers, Pollux, etc.) the gods are in shambles but hestia senses that some lived. The gods quickly swoop down and take their remaining kids back to Olympus, or their domain. They keep the kids on a tight leash not letting them step foot outside it’s cruel but the gods of course don’t see it like that.
Death note:
Cult: ok so hear me out now, what if people started a cult dedicated to Kira (I mean like in the death note universe) so like everyday light hears about how people are like worshiping Kira aka him. He would either be so weirded out oddly proud.
Not at all what I usually post at all but these ideas have been brewing in my head for the longest time, I was going to explode if I didn’t do something with these ideas but the problem is most these ideas are like full fledged story material. Anyway if yall want me to adapt any of these ideas into headcanons or attempt to make a story out of them let me know cause I’m so down to do something with these ideas. Hope y’all have an amazing day love u all so much bye bye(๑╹ω╹๑ )

Random Fanfic and AU Ideas I'm writing down now so I don't forget it. Some of these are old.
Angst and Blood Warning, btw.
If anyone wants to write it, please feel free to take it. I'm running out of reading material, and I'm having withdrawal.
Never listen to Kikuo while drawing man, really makes you make some depressing shit 💀

A Blanket For Your Troubles:
Leon didn't make it out of the prison dimension.
His soul, in the image of him as a tot, remains unable to rest and haunts a strange world similar to his own where he meets four older mutants like him who try to help him move on.
He either remains dead and goes back to his ancestors or somehow is able to reunite with his family.
Depends on how much you want to hurt.
To prove yourself:
Three sets of the unique family end up trapped in the Rottmnt universe, where they must raise the Rottmnt crew with a recently mutated Splinter.
However, the differences between them prove to cause a rift in a certain young slider who's growing self-hatred comes to head in one final encounter.
Where he must prove himself.
Cruel Joke:
When you're on your death bed, you expect to be met with those you've loved who were lost along the way, greeting you with open arms.
What you don't expect is to awaken with four baby versions of you and your siblings, crawling all over you, and an image of your father that is vastly different than from what you can remember.
The universes final "Fuck you", to the last ninja turtle standing.
Party Crasher:
A fun, annual universal gathering of your favorite TMNT versions is rudely intruded by one incredibly injured and very feral, red-eared slider that gives one of them a cast and the other a minor concussion.
With their party ruined, the collection of turtles, and their companions, must begrudgingly help this strange turtle rediscover their identity and heal fast to discover just what the absolute hell caused so much damage to something so young.
Also, they like apples.
Not my brothers:
The smallest holds them together. So when the youngest dies in their arms, they lose their glue.
The blue one becomes protective and clingy. He assumes the worst and uses his blade to fix it.
Purple keeps track and imprisons to keep safe. He's not afraid to use his tech for certain situations.
Big red keeps them from straying far, no matter what must be done to do so.
Michelangelo must treat these versions of his brothers like monsters that'll kill him at a moments notice because thats exactly what they've become.
Idk that's just what I remember. I don't like it.
Blood in the Streets:
Leon gets a strange yokai disease that makes him crave flesh. He has to hide the problem while his brothers help a newly arrived vampire hunter hunt down beasts. Unfortunately, he is quite attractive.
Lmao vampire love story lol Leosagi.
Better than twilight
I don't fucking know I'm sleep deprived💀L
If there are any fics like these things, I'd love to see them. I need more book pages while I procrastinate.
Why am I so lazy

Would love to hear about the komainu au 👀
Ooohhhhh my god, okay, so Komainu AU is one of my most beloved babies. It's a fic I entirely plan to prewrite before posting any of it (so unforchies I doubt anyone will be seeing it for... a long while haha). It's an AU I'm so fond of and I can't wait to eventually share it
It originally started out as a Princess Mononoke AU, but it spiraled far, far beyond that. However, you can definitely still see the bones of it originally being a Princess Mononoke AU, especially through the "first act" (there are "five acts" that could honestly all be individual fics + a tamashino spinoff, I still can't decide if I want to post it as a series of five fics, or just as one utterly massive fic, I'll cross that bridge when it's done haha)
Anyways, the plot is that Kyojuro comes from a family of "monster hunters." This largely means anything that is not human, whether it's dangerous or evil or whatever or not. Granted, they live in an extremely urban area, so when supernatural beings show up, they generally have ill intentions, but their family, and where they live, harbors a deep hatred and distrust for inhuman creatures. Eventually, during a fight, Kyojuro practically dies, and is "cursed" by the gods to stay alive. No one understands this curse, all anyone knows is that he suddenly isn't human anymore (just doesn't feel like it, + has a fox tail, weird animal-like eyes, etc). Eventually, he's forced to leave his family behind, disguise what he is, and search for a cure. The journey is long and hard, he's hated almost everyone he goes, sometimes even has to fight for his life due to what he is now, and the "curse" keeps progressing. Two years after he's initially "cursed" he's up to two fox tails, weird teeth, it just keeps progressing. That being said, the further and further into the wild he gets, the less people... care about what he is. Hatred turns to mere distrust to curiosity to genuine kindness.
And in his search, he eventually ends up so far into the wilds that human civilization is far and few between. One of the last towns he ends up in tells him of a village deep in the mountains that no one dares to go to, or else they die. They only know it still exists because a few times a year a group of women will come trade with them. Kyojuro gets the sense that he has to go there, and so he does
Upon arriving, he's taken in by the Kamado family, and learns of the monster in the mountains that kills any men who dare to leave the village borders. Kyojuro isn't quite human, so he's probably fine, they reason. He made it to the village after all. Women and girls are always spared, so they're the only ones who can leave/hunt/etc. Kyojuro is obviously alarmed by this, but the village is largely used to it. This has been going on for generations, after all. The Kamados suggest he go speak with a woman in the village named Tamayo. She knows a lot about yokai and oni and magic. If anyone will know anything about a curse, it will be her. So Kyojuro goes
Tamayo immediately clocks that he's turning in a kitsune, and that it progresses as Kyojuro uses his magic (he does not control when he uses it, and it generally flares during bouts of extreme emotion). She decides not to tell him that though. What she does tell him is there is a corrupted komainu spirit in the forest that kills men in the village if they try to leave. If Kyojuro manages to befriend him and stop the killings, she'll fix his curse. It's the best hope Kyojuro has had in years, so he eagerly agrees. But as soon as he leaves, Shinobu calls Tamayo out for lying and demands to know why she promised to cure him when she obviously has no intentions nor ability to do so, and she's very cryptic about the whole thing. But Shinobu eventually gathers that Tamayo is just curious and having fun, as she knows Tamayo well at this point. She does feel a bit bad that Kyojuro has been given false hope though, and she is definitely not confident that he'll get through to the komainu spirit
I'm gonna keep rambling beneath the cut cuz I love this AU, but that's the basic setup for everything in the AU haha
So, Kyojuro starts his little endeavor of getting Akaza to stop his murder spree. Their first meeting, Akaza is initially violent with him, before he realizes that 1. Kyojuro can hold his own and has been combat train which is interesting and 2. he's not human except he is human and something really fucking weird is going on. Kyojuro is very quick to reveal what Tamayo told him and Akaza is just as quick to warn him not to trust "that thing." But despite that, Akaza is intrigued by Kyojuro, so he'll go along with this for now. He's not just going to stop killing the men in the village though.
He and Kyojuro go back and forth for a while. Akaza is very quick to try and force out more inhuman characteristics from Kyo, and during one particularly heated argument between them, things turn violent, and Akaza is actually pretty damn close to genuinely hurting Kyo (something isn't right, Kyo realizes, it's like he's not thinking, this isn't Akaza anymore, it's... it's some thing that looks like him). Kyojuro's magic flares, which progresses his own transformation (up to three tails, now he has fox ears). But the light magic does something to Akaza. It seems to genuinely hurt him, burn him, more accurately, and Akaza is quick to flee afterwards. He's hurting and confused because... because his mind feels clearer than it has in a very, very long time, and he doesn't know what to do with that. And for the first time in centuries, he ventures towards an old, decrepit shrine, just outside the village
Kyojuro is distraught by the transformation continuing, and goes to Tamayo. She refuses to be much help though, and tells him he's done barely anything to befriend the komainu, and he's certainly not stopped being violent. She's not doing anything for him, and Kyo begins to seriously consider Akaza's words about not trusting her, but still... this is the best, and truly, the only lead he's ever gotten on breaking this curse, so he has no choice but to continue to trust her
Things continue on. Kyojuro tries to get through to Akaza, nothing works. Akaza continues to antagonize Kyo and loves point out how he's less and less human, he likes doing things like tugging on his ears, snapping close to them to get them to twitch, forcing more vulpine noises out of him by irritating him. Really, it seems they're at a stalemate
Until Akaza's corruption continues to progress, and eventually, he kills someone inside the village. Everyone panics, and Tamayo warns that Akaza doesn't have long before there's nothing left to reason with and he's nothing but a dark, vengeful spirit.
Kyojuro goes to find him, and discovers that Akaza is... a mess. He's frenzied and panicked and it's obvious he knows what's happening to himself but doesn't know what to do about it, so, Kyojuro asks. How does a komainu even become something like this?
And Akaza tells him. He tells him about centuries ago, when he was still young and hopeful and devoted to guarding his shrine. He was strange for a komainu. They were supposed to come in pairs, but it was only ever him tethered to this shrine and this village. He didn't mind though. Especially not when he met Koyuki. She came and prayed at the shrine whenever she could, and if she couldn't make it that day, her father always came in her stead. She was sick. Akaza was never very good when it came to magic, but he grew fond of her, and did his best to heal her. It wasn't perfect, but she did better and she was so grateful for his help. They became very close. So close, that Akaza began to abandon guarding his shrine and his village for her
The village always had a strained relationship with the komainu guarding their shrine. Why was he the only one? Where was the other half of his duo? And then he uses his power for one girl, and no one else? He starts to abandon the shrine, and the rest of them, all for this girl?
And some particularly bitter men decided to do something unforgivable.
Akaza started killing them after that, and the corruption began to sink its claws into him. He always knew that eventually he would lose his mind. Komainu aren't meant to hurt, they're meant to protect. He's not protecting anyone anymore, and he's turned on the village he was meant to guard. Of course he was always going to lose himself.
He claims he doesn't care.
Kyojuro knows he's lying. And he can feel his own magic reaching out for Akaza. He realizes that he can do it. He can burn out the corruption with his own light magic, but... that means he won't be human at all anymore. The curse will have won
The village decides to finally do something about the monster, now that their tentative peace with it is up. If even inside the village isn't safe, they need to kill it before more people die.
Kyojuro realizes what they're planning, and hurries to find Akaza before they do. Because he knows if they fight, then Akaza will fully lose himself, and who knows how many people he will kill.
Ultimately, just as Akaza begins fighting with the villagers, Kyojuro uses his magic to burn the corruption out of him in front of everyone. Akaza begs him not to do it, he's giving up his chance of being human again, and he doesn't care what happens to himself, and this village needs to atone for what they did to Koyuki. But... Kyojuro does it anyway. He burns the corruption out of Akaza, and fully turns himself into a kitsune
After watching what Kyojuro did, and watching Hakuji return to a less... physically intimidating version of himself as the corruption burns away, Tamayo, Shinobu, and the Kamados are able to talk the village down, and Kyojuro is able to get Akaza away from them
He learns that Akaza's name used to be Hakuji. The village renamed him after he began killing them. He doesn't regret killing the people who killed Koyuki and Keizo, but he does regret what he did to everyone else. He wants to learn to be a guardian spirit again. And. Well. Kyojuro can't go home. He's a kitsune. He might as well stay here with Hakuji and help him learn again
Tamayo eventually reveals to both of them that she had no intention of making Kyojuro human again, and confesses that she doesn't even think such a thing was possible. Kyojuro also couldn't leave the village and the shrine even if he wanted to. He's tethered himself to Hakuji and to the village by doing what he did. He's become the other half of the duo meant to guard the shrine.
And now that he's fully one himself, Kyojuro does realize that Tamayo is also a kitsune. An old one, a powerful one, and a mischievous one. She bears no ill will towards them, but does find spirits as young and messy as them entertaining. So she'll stick around for a while to help them how she can (she was going to stay anyways, for Shinobu)
And that's act one!! Haha.... hahaha.... it's so long. Act two is about Senjuro setting out to find Kyojuro years later, and eventually settling into the village himself. Simultaneously, it's about Kyojuro adjusting to being a spirit akin to a small deity and helping Hakuij adjust to a better life, as well as trying to smooth things over between him and the village considering... everything. This part ends when Senjuro eventually dies after a long life.
The third part is about Kyojuro grappling with immortality after the death of his brother. This part is much more about Hakuji helping Kyojuro adjust and trying to help him learn that this is how it's always going to go for them. They're always going to watch the humans around them die. It's also during this part that Kyojuro and Hakuji end up taking in a human child during a particularly rough winter and her parents die and there's no one else to take care of her. But Kyojuro struggles greatly with that as he's already mourning her eventual death and doesn't understand why Hakuji isn't doing that. It feels callous. This part stretches across several centuries, leaving Kyojuro and Hakuji to watch the generations come and go, watching the people they care about die over and over, including their own kids that they take in
The fourth part is easing into modern times, and Hakuji and Kyojuro have been pretty much forgotten. No one really believes in them anymore or really even knows of their existence. They've begun to weaken, are losing their powers, and Hakuji knows it's only a matter of time until they finally fade away. He and Kyojuro kind of don't acknowledge it, and live as they did for centuries out in what little remains of the forest. Tamayo visits them often (she's visited them many times throughout the centuries, but never as often as she does now, she knows they're dying, and wants to spend what time she can with her old friends. She's not like them, she's not sustained by a shrine and belief, she'll outlive them, but Tamayo is used to that). And... eventually, they fade away. Despite everything, Kyojuro is afraid of dying, but Hakuji does his best to reassure him that it will be fine
The final part is about Kyojuro and Hakuji having been reincarnated as humans and having found each other again. They don't remember their previous life, but are drawn to each other, and drawn to a little town out in the countryside. A few of the oldest people in town remark that they look like the spirits they saw as children. Funny little coincidence, isn't it?
So yeah. It's a lot. I have so many thoughts about the komainu AU. I could talk in so much detail about it for so long... as I'm sure is obvious haha I just love komainu AU sooooo bad
