Eden was adopted at the age of five by the Binghams. They were family friends and when her parents passed from a car accident, they took her in and made the adoption legal on her fifth birthday.

She never felt like she wasn’t part of the family and as the oldest, it was her job to take care of the younger ones and make sure they weren’t getting in the way of their dad working in his office and that they wouldn’t be burning the house down; which some days, was almost the case.

She started questioning her faith around the age of fourteen. There were things she was being told she didn’t understand and was even hearing differently at school from her peers. Whenever she would ask questions, she would be shot down and told to not question things, which drove her crazy. While she still went to church, she hated every moment of it. She also felt that if there was a god, why would he take her parents away.

She started rebelling more when she was sixteen. She started sneaking out, going to parties, and smoking weed as well as drinking with her friends. She discovered rock music and started playing those and dressing more like Joan Jett than the church going daughter her father wanted her to be. 

At eighteen, Eden went out and got her first tattoo, the crescent moon behind her ear. She hid them from her father, but during the summer, it was hard and he spotted them. There was a lot of yelling that day and eventually, Eden moved out with a friend. She would still come over to help with her siblings, but on days she didn’t need to be, she wasn’t at her childhood home anymore.

While wanting to be an artist, her father wouldn’t pay for schooling for that, thinking she should go into something more practical. So, she did it on the side while she did odd jobs here and there. She has worked the front desk of a hotel until she got too many tattoos that they fired her, a waitress, a bartender, and a clerk at a grocery store while continuing to be there for her younger siblings as much as she could be while her father worked as she loved them and felt like she owed it to the Binghams.

This is how it was for years until after the boys that were friends with Suzie’s boyfriend showed up. She didn’t see why they had come all that way for whatever it was they were there for and then not long after, she heard from her mother that Suzie up and left to Indiana. Unsure about all this, Eden packed a bag and went out there as well to get her sister back.

However, things didn’t go as planned. Suzie wasn’t going to leave and she wasn’t just going to let her sister be there on her own. With her younger siblings fine at home, she ended up getting a place in Hawkins and staying in town herself; getting a job as a radio host.

“i wish i could say i did that on purpose, but that was the gnarliest power slide i’ve ever done.” jj breathed as he stood on the other side of the road, dusting off his hat.

without any hesitation, pope turned around to his blonde haired best friend, “you’re alive!” pope exclaimed before merely tackling his friend into a hug, letting go sarah pushed jj slightly before hugging him as well, “we really thought you did it this time jayj.”

kiara was a nervous wreck but not nearly as bad as you. there was a constant ringing in your ear that prevented you from hearing anything that was going on behind you.

your legs feeling like absolute jello while standing right at the foot of jj’s mangled motorbike. hot tears poured out of your glossy eyes, your chest feeling like all the air had been sucked out of your lungs.

the worst kind of cry you’ve ever felt. no words, nothing. this could’ve been him and if it was, there was no telling how that would’ve gone.

“y/n?” a hand reached out to your shoulder, which pulled you back intro reality. quickly you turned around to see the blond haired boy sporting his backwards cap. before you could even get words out, your body reacted for you and swatted jj’s hand off your shoulder and walked away from him and back into topper’s car, making sure to find a seat away from him.

jj felt his heart drop into his stomach seeing the exact look on your face broke him. the one person he was worried about the most didn’t even say a word to him or give him a ‘thank god you’re okay’.

the interaction didn’t go unnoticed by pope, cleo, and sarah. the entire ride home was an extremely silent one for you, the only sound coming from you was you playing with small star pendant being dragged across the silver chain jj gave you when you first got together.

topper had agreed to drop you all back off the chateau, the minute the car stopped you hopped out and made your way into the house. “j, you gotta talk her. she’s in distress man.” pope softly spoke to jj as he just simply nodded. jj made his way to the house to find you sitting down in the guest bedroom (which was actually was his.)

“y/n.. i’m so sorry.” jj said as he tried to come towards you, before you pushed yourself away from him. “you could have died tonight j.” you told him as your shaky hands came up to wipe your tear stained face.

jj’s heart was breaking at the sight of you being in the state that you were in. of course be made stupid decisions, but not like this one.

“i know, the headlights were coming up too quick and the cops were right behind me-“, shaking your head you pointed at him, “how could you be this stupid?! you’re not even thinking about your family! we’re all you have left!” you exclaimed, everything was spewing out so quickly, you couldn’t wrap your head around it.

now jj was looking at you in confusion, “i do care about my fucking family! EVERYTHING i do is for all of you!” he said, and at this point your face softened at his words, “wait j, i’m sor-,” you tried to say, but by now he didn’t want to hear anything.

“i would never put my life on the line for someone i didn’t fucking love. that’s bullshit y/n and you know it is.” he screamed at you. this reaction wasn’t something that you expected from him, but hell which reaction one was expected?

everything he said was true, he meant every word he said, he’d never risk his life for someone who did nothing for him.

“will you please stop being so naive for one minute!” you screamed back at him. he scoffed and looked around the room as if you were talking to him, “i couldn’t tell if you were talking to me but i made that decision to save ALL of your asses. yeah it was a dumb decision but we all walked off fine!” he said throwing his hands up in the air.

you shook your head. “i’m done. we’re done.” was the only thing that jj managed to speak out before he turned his back to you as he slammed a glass picture frame into the wall.

you looked at him as if he’d actually gone insane, “y/n. you need to go.” he muttered silently. you looked at him, “what do you mean we’re done?! you can’t just say that!” you said.

now walking up to him, now you were the one putting your hand on his shoulder. he quickly moved away from your touch. “i said go.” he said this time again, this time silence filling up the room.

swallowing all your pride, you nodded and left the room, and you quietly left the chateau. not muttering anything to anyone.

Happy Monday evening all :) Ewww an Ashley episode. Such a bummer after the last episode haha Not a ton of Chenford content but what we do get is good. There is a case involved but they're not in it enough to analyze anything. Oh also this ep is the intro of Chris so double eww. This episode is just one giant display of why Ashley and Chris aren't meant for either of them. But we knew that already didn't we? Let’s get started eh?

4x10 Heart Beat

Start our episode off with why Ashley isn’t right for Tim. Hit the ground running and the reasons are plentiful. First off Tim doesn’t even think to make Ashley anything. This is all for Kojo. Which I friggin love btw. The animal lover in me adores how spoiled Kojo is. Also imma need some more of this pup in S6. You hear me writers? I need this dog back. Ashley says she’s not a breakfast person but still the least romantic morning ever. They are very early in their dating period and its pretty tame. The way he moves around her. No intimacy at all. Avoiding her as he makes his way over to Kojo’s bowl.

Shows more affection towards his dog than her haha It’s the complete opposite of Tim and Lucy in 5x20. Where there is zero space, lots of touching, flirting and food to be had. Can't keep their hands off each other. The blahness that is Ashley is prominent in this opening scene. Also her judgy tone when she mentions that’s what he gets? If I was dating a man who took that good of care of his dog? I would be a goner. But this is Ashley so….

She is far too vapid for Tim. I looked up the definition of that word to reinforce my point. “Offering nothing that is stimulating or challenging.” If that isn’t the definition of their relationship and her as a character idk what is. Tim has found the very opposite from Lucy in Ashley. She is blah, doesn’t challenge him in any way and definitely doesn’t stimulate him whatsoever. All things he gets from Lucy. Interesting...Almost like he shouldn't be dating her....

She continues down her ‘Why she is wrong for Tim path' When she is afraid/doesn’t like Kojo. I already didn’t like her but this didn’t help her case. If I was dating someone and they didn’t like my dog?Goodbye sir. Twas fun while it lasted LOL Maybe it’s the protective dog person in me but I can not stand her first thought being ‘dangerous’ with Kojo. Just because he didn’t like her at first. Tim telling her he took him in cause Lucy couldn’t keep him.

He tries to help her adjust to him but she isn't about it. Just wants to leave. To me if my dog doesn’t like you that is far more telling than anything else IMO. Dogs have a good sense of people so this would’ve been telling to me as a dog owner. Ashley was already on my 'I don’t like you list.' But the not liking Kojo part plummets her to the very bottom…Also watching Tim with Kojo is ovary explosion for me. Way he pets him and loves on him. My heart. That's his kid.

We join our couple in their shop. Lucy asks how it’s going with Ashley? Tim says good but there was some weirdness this morning. Tim mentions he thinks she doesn’t like Kojo. Lucy’s reaction cracks me up. She could not be more telling when she says 'So you broke up with her? Thats too bad….I liked her…’ 'Lying liar. You know she was hoping he did. We all want that.

The way he loves that dog it actually would make sense. To Lucy as well her not liking Kojo is another strike against her anyways. It’s a valid response to anyone who is a pet owner really. Unfortunately we are stuck with her for a long while. Bleh. My dislike for her is very strong. Because she is everything he doesn’t need or want.

Tim says since when? Knowing she has never liked her. That Lucy had been giving him crap cause she’s a lifeguard ha I mean I can't say I blame her. I would too. Her sarcasm continuing with her reply. Fairly certain none of us considered it a career until Ashley came into the picture. Tim defends the training she had to go through. That it was rigorous training at the fire academy. Trying to make her job sound more prestigious than it is in just the name alone. Lucy doesn’t press it further and says my bad with a smile even though I think she is still secretly judging her LOL

Lucy has such a dog-mom moment here. I love it so very much. As she states his full name above LOL I bet you she has supplied that boy with many chew toys he’s destroyed. Makes me happy to think of Lucy going over to Tim's just to deliver treats and toys for their shared fur-child. Seriously going to need some couple moments with him in S6. It's a crime we haven't gotten them yet.

Lucy's transparency continues when she tells Tim 'Clearly Ashley has to go.' If only it was that easy. Saying it’s a moot point if she doesn’t like Kojo. Now anyone can see she isn’t right for him. The person who knows him the best? Can see it from a mile away the multiple reasons Ashley isn’t right for Tim. So might as well cut this off right now in her opinion. The look they share haha Even when talking about his relationship they are flirty af. So married in their disposition with one another. I love it. Also he's not really disagreeing with her...

Lucy ends up getting a phone call and it’s Ashley… She is confused but intrigued by this phone call. Idk how the hell she got her number. LOL Now you know Lucy is in love with Tim when she gives such solid advice to Ashley. It’s the way she talks about Kojo being like Tim. Girl is so gone for him. Something she continually tries to suppress this entire season. Like she is warding it off really.

Ashley tells her she likes Tim but she’s scared of his dog. Asking why she gave him away? Asking if he was too aggressive? Ugh I hate her animal ignorance so much. Maybe it’s because been I've been in dog world for over a decade but I cannot stand her going right to ‘aggressive.’ Lucy defends her boy says 'No! Not at all. He just wasn’t meant for her living situation.'

Lucy asks if she doesn’t like dogs? Secretly hoping she says yes heh Ashley tells she had a bad experience once. Lucy empathizes and says she gets it. Goes on to say Kojo is the sweetest guy. It’s here we see her switch over to gushing about Tim. It’s the way she’s looking at Tim in Grey’s office that gets me. As she explains how Kojo is just like Tim. Careful Lucy your feelings are showing.

He’s big, gruff, and a whole lot of bark but underneath is a sweetheart. I mean Tim is for HER. Let’s get that clear first. Tim is only soft for Lucy. I adore her helping out in this situation though. She didn't have to but it's Lucy. If Ashley could see how she was looking at Tim. She might feel a little threatened. Not only that but her deep knowledge of Tim. Might catch on she’s just the littlest bit in love with him lol But then 4x12 happens later on so.... How she didn’t break up with Tim after that display idk. So maybe she wouldn’t put 2 and 2 together.

I'm giving her too much credit haha Lucy speaks from a place of love about him. She probably has no idea how she is coming off but it's so obvious. Clearly not talking about Kojo in that tone. She loves that good boy but loves his owner more. Lucy tells her to talk to Tim about it. Ashley replies no that she’s not going to make him pick between her or his dog. That there is a whole genre of country songs about that. Before Lucy can defend Tim more or why she should Ashley cuts the convo off and says good night. Awkward…

It’s then we meet friggin Chris Sanford. *glares* The epitome of meh. Earlier in the ep they arrested young boy dealing drugs. He is one of James’s newest mentees. Lucy being the empathetic soul she is cites him out on a lower charge. That way he gets a fighting chance with James to turn his life around. Just has to attend his court date and such. Very kind thing of her to do for this young man.

He comes in like a mega douche. Instant dislike for his character for how he comes at Lucy. Trying to shame her for citing him out like she did. Calling her naive and basically being an absolute asshat. Lucy CRUSHES him in her reply above. I dislike Chris so very much so this was glorious to watch. Tim Bradford doesn’t stand a chance most days against her. You think your puny ass with 4 months of experience had a chance of winning that argument? What a putz…

Lucy catches Tim in the parking garage before he leaves. Ah this glorious place where all our wonderful moments occur. Lucy tells him it was Ashley who called her earlier. Gotta love how open she is with Tim always. As usual Lucy is toeing the line of personal boundaries with him. Possibly overstepping by bringing this up. But that’s kind of their thing.

Also like to note how telling it is that Ashley felt more comfortable coming to Lucy and not her BF about this. That she didn’t think he would listen to her but Lucy would. Because well she did. Lucy does get the other side of the story with Kojo. That is not a dislike but bad experience on her end. Which to be fair is valid when you’ve had a bad experience with a dog. Now that being said I still dislike so very much.

What I’m trying to get at here is Lucy interpreted this as Tim not fulling listening to Ashley’s concern. It’s not surprising Tim gets a little hard headed about things. Especially things he loves. So he’s instantly defensive about said things. I’m the same way. Lucy knows this about him. Which is why they’re having this conversation. So she can bring his attention to it in way only she can. Because Tim actually listens to Lucy. This scene really is more about their bond than his issue with Ashley. How Lucy is the only one who can ever get through to Tim. Her super power really.

He doesn’t listen to anyone the way he listens to Lucy. Especially when she is doling out advice for him. This is a kindness she is doing for him. Letting him know one his GF called her and two the reason behind it. That she is scared and he needs to listen to her about it. Tim shrugs it off like it’s nothing. Which you can see Lucy is a little taken aback with. How instantly shut off he is to this conversation. But like i said earlier he is defensive about things he loves. He LOVES that dog.

This is their dance with advice he is defensive or dismissive at first. Then it sinks in and he truly listens to what she is telling him. She may not like Ashley. (None of us do..) But she would be remiss not to share her opinion on this with him. Tim instead of thanking her for the advice deflects. Because well Tim. Asking why she is so invested in his love life? Asking with a little smile some sass in that question of his. Also gauging what her reaction will be. He is truly curious.

It is interesting how his love life is the only one she intercedes in. Not Nolan or any of his. She didn’t with Jackson for either of his love interests. Just Tim. Because that shows the level of importance this man has gained in her life. Saw some parallels to this moment and 2x03. When she was trying to pair Tim up with Rachel. How Lucy once again is involved in his love life. It’s true that she just wants him to be happy.

Also Tim’s interest in why she is interested in his love life is far different than 2x03. He didn’t question it then. Just thought it was apart of their bet. In S4 he is a lot more aware. Like I said in the last review their bond and their awareness of each other is far stronger than it was in S2. He is so genuinely curious why she is so invested in it?

They’ve had a lot of intimate moments and work flirts since 4x01. Tim can feel the shift that has happened between them. So it makes him curious why she is helping him like she is? Lucy does some deflecting of her own for his question. Saying she doesn’t want to drive around on patrol while he is moping around about this girl. He is so offended by her saying this it's so funny. That if he likes this girl he should listen to her. It’s funny all the things she’s telling him to do with Ashley he naturally does with her. Funny old world lol

Tim’s reply back cracks me up. Saying when has he ever moped? That he doesn’t even know how to. Oh but you do my love. You perfect it in S5. While you pine for her while she is still with Chris the putz. But ok sure you don’t know how. His eye roll is so damn funny Eric always crushes it when he does this. Her little Mmhmm as she walks away smirking. Has this man wrapped around her finger. She drives him insane and Tim absolutely loves it.

Tim follows through on Lucy’s advice and listens to Ashley’s fears. Really Lucy extended this relationship when it was destined to fail. But she cares so much about Tim and his happiness she gave him solid advice. This bit made me chuckle. Saying Kojo needs to be bossed around a little to listen. heh. Just like daddy. There's a reason he only listen's to Lucy.

Kojo being just like Tim of course he needs a strong woman to boss him around to listen. I wouldn't call Ashley strong but she got the idea. I mean that scene in the parking garage kinda a parallel to this one in that regard. Doesn’t listen at first then eventually comes around when they're bossed around ha. Not a ton in this ep for them. Solid moments nonetheless. Sadly we are saddled with a Chris and Ashley for a little while. But we get tons of goodies between all that so it helps.

Ruin's Reprisal - WIP Intro

I was recently tagged by the lovely @mysticstarlightduck in a post of theirs and it inspired me so much I thought I'd put my own spin on it for my novel!

My Inspiration!

This section is simply me getting to ramble about the things that stoked the fires of my imagination - movies, books, shows - songs, all the works! (as and when i recall/think of more, i'll add them to the list)

The Cruel Prince - had to go far into the depths of my memory for this one, but it was this series that truly got me invested in the likes of Fae and that sort of fantasy, and I took a lot of inspo from that! (in the early days, the Haelish were Fae but I wanted to go outside of that character stereotype and create my own fantasy bloodline/species, for lack of a better word)

Throne of Glass - to this day i'm still in awe of the world, the plot, the characters, everything and though i've only read it once parts of it have stuck with me

Six of Crows - the heist aspect of my novel shockingly came about before i'd read this but it certainly helped that part of the plot along

Red Queen - the villain of my novel, not saying who because who enjoys massive spoilers? (spoiler alert - not me), was deeply, deeply inspired from this series - I'd wager it was the first fantasy novel I'd read that gave me an insight into a truly 'dark' character, and I loved that, and of course, I used it as inspiration and to this day I am still torn between preferring a villainous character to a hero - it's one of the tropes I really, really enjoy

Far From Home by Sam Tinnesz - this was one of the very first songs I'd found for my initial writing playlist, and it's been played many, many times since

Lovely by Fleurie and Tommee Profitt - this embodied the regality and the tension that takes place in so many parts of my story, it was impossible not to be inspired

To Be Alone by Hozier - my ears will never forgive me for this, but it's true of any Hozier song, but this is one of my favourites

Pirates of the Caribbean - grew up watching these repeatedly, needless to say some of the characters did give me inspiration

The Mummy - one of my absolute favourite movies of all time, Rick O'Connell's attitude was an important factor for me to take inspiration from, he's such an interesting character

"Big Time Battle of the Bands", Chapter 8: Big Time Debut

As they entered the pool area, they found that some of the lounge chairs had been moved. In their place, a small stage had been set up. A band was readying their instruments; a few dozen residents were settling into chairs.

"Now, I want you to be on your best behavior. We don't want to ruin the experience for the rest of the audience." Griffin said as they stood behind the back row of chairs.

Gustavo gritted his teeth before replying, "No, of course not! Wouldn't want to kill the atmosphere, especially for you, Griffin!"

"Ah, Gustavo. You never wrote me. Then again, you never were the best writer." a voice jeered.

They spun around. Sauntering up to them was Hawk, who wore an arrogant smile.

Everyone (save for Griffin and Abdul) gasped. Gustavo's blood instantly began to boil at the sight of his nemesis. "Hawk. I knew I smelled the stench of failure." he snarled.

"Mr. Griffin! So nice of you to let me volunteer my little protégées. It's always wonderful to contribute to a charitable cause so close to my heart." Hawk drawled in a sickeningly kind voice, shaking Griffin's hand. Gustavo stifled a gag.

Griffin obliviously smiled back. "Well, as I was explaining to Gustavo here, everyone deserves the chance to shine. But," He clapped his hands together, "enough talk! Let's get on with the show!"

As the boys watched them with growing dread, Logan whispered, "Uh, didn't he recently get out of jail?"

"I have a bad feeling about this." Kendall whispered back.

Chloe, Jessica, Elena, and Mikee made their way onto the stage.

Their eyes became as wide as saucers when they spotted Big Time Rush in the crowd.

Kendall, James, Logan, and Carlos had the same reaction. "Wait—the new girls are Hawk's?" James exclaimed incredulously.

"Shh!!" some people in front of them hissed.

The band's drummer tapped his drumsticks together. The girls grabbed their mics as the guitarist began riffing. With Chloe leading the intro, they broke into a lively '90s pop rendition.

The effect was almost immediate. Kids, parents, janitors, and everyone in between came to a halt upon hearing the catchy harmonies. Mr. Bitters emerged from his office, wearing an eye pad and night cap.

"WHAT is that RACKET?!" he growled. As a couple of teenagers brushed past his desk, one of them grinned, "I don't know, but it sure sounds good!" She and her friend continued running out to the pool.

Bitters grunted and pulled his eye pad back down. "Kids these days..." He grumpily tromped back into the safe haven of his office.

The crowd slowly grew as more curious people piled in. Many leaned over their balconies to sneak a peek. Everyone nodded and clapped along to the group's contagious song. Even stone-faced Abdul was subtly bopping his head. At the crowd’s forefront, Hawk had taken out his phone. He was recording the whole performance.

"Oh...the new girls are good." Carlos breathed.

"Really good." Kendall and Logan agreed, thunderstruck.

James scowled at them. "They're not that great..." he muttered, earning a look from his bandmates.

They finished their song on a flawless note, voices blending like milk and honey. The audience (which now went from the pool up to the highest balconies) cheered wildly. 

Hawk stood in front of the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen," he boomed, "please give a warm welcome to the Palmwoods’ latest addition...Cross My Heart!"

The people cheered once again. The girls were all smiles as they bowed, especially Jessica.

Gustavo stared at Hawk with barely concealed hatred. "Nice try, Hawk. But, as you know, my very insightful and intelligent boss, Mr. Griffin..." He shot a glance at Griffin, who still seemed entranced by the charming girl group. "...has already made his decision. Big Time Rush will perform for the fundraiser."

Hawk's cocky smile did not waver. "Is that so?" he sneered. 

"Mr. Griffin.” he began, turning to the smiling CEO. “You know I would never try to challenge your authority and good judgment under any other circumstances. However, as I said before, this is something very, very dear to my heart. This is, of course, all about the Palmwoods. So, in my humble opinion..."

He walked over to the crowd. "...I say we leave this up to the Palmwoods to decide."

Gustavo, Kelly, and the boys looked at each other uneasily. Griffin finally seemed to be listening.

"It’s their home. So, it only makes sense that they should be the ones to choose its savior!" Hawk loudly continued.

"What do you say, my good people? Do you want your voices to be heard?" He opened his arms wide, addressing the residents.

After some hesitation, a few mumbles of assent were heard. Some claps began to trickle out. Pretty soon, the entire crush of people was clapping, nodding, and making noises of agreement.

The stunned gang's eyes settled on Griffin, who seemed quite unfazed by this uprising. "Um...what's going on in his head right now?" James anxiously inquired.

Gustavo looked about as comfortable as a prisoner awaiting execution. "There’s no telling. But I do know this: Every idea in that diabolical brain can only lead to my misery." he replied in ominous undertones.

Griffin abruptly raised a hand. The clapping went dead silent.

He evaluated the waiting crowd and finally said, "Mr. Hawk has made an intriguing point. As we all know, a house that is divided against itself cannot stand. Therefore, there is only one fair and sound solution: a good old-fashioned battle of the bands."

"WHAT?!" the gang cried as one. On the stage, the girls murmured uncertainly.

He went on, "This is an excellent opportunity to test the prototype of the 'Cheer-O-Meter', which was launched for just such a purpose."

Abdul automatically opened his briefcase. Inside was a quirky-looking gold device with three glass gauges, each of which contained a rising and falling red substance. The boys, Gustavo, and Kelly gaped.

"It will measure who gets the louder applause on Saturday. The winning group shall become the Palmwoods' official celebrity endorser...and receive a five-million-dollar donation from RCM-CBT Globalnet Sanyoid." Griffin finished.

This was met with a tidal wave of whoops and claps. The Cheer-O-Meter's gauges bubbled as the red substance rose to the top. It began beeping and steaming noisily.

All of a sudden, Griffin grinned like the Cheshire Cat. "Boy, I do like pitting people against each other!" he gushed. He and Abdul promptly left the pool area.

Hawk stepped in front of Gustavo's appalled face and chuckled darkly. "Checkmate, Rocque." He brandished his hands like talons. "Caw." he hissed.

"GRARRRRR!!" Gustavo roared, charging towards him. The guys and Kelly grabbed his flailing arms and tugged with all their might. Hawk chuckled again and walked out of the pool area, gesturing to his "protégées." They hurried behind him, whispering amongst themselves.

"Told you I had a bad feeling about this!" Kendall shouted over the din.

AFHF23 RECAP

thought I'd share my day for everyone (and future me).

so the alarm was at 6am bc my mom had to drive me to the train station to catch the 1st train of the day towards bologna so I woke up early and packed my giant backpack for the week (which I had to buy new bc my old one broke literally the day before rip) and then got on the train! then after 1h i arrived and switched train to get to Florence where me and @riverswater walked around and saw the city before catching yet another train to go to the city where our accommodation was and leave the bags. then we got ANOTHER train from there back to Viareggio and from there then we anxiously waited for the bus with other girls who were also going to the festival. the bus was late but it did arrive and the bus driver must have been driving ppl there the whole day bc he told us where to get off before we even asked him anything sjsj after 15min we FINALLY arrived at the venue 🥳🥳 (it was like 6.30pm lol) and there I met up with @tanktop-lou (trusted louis show companion) and @dahliaaz who I met for the first time irl !!

inside the festival ppl were mostly spread out bc there were only a few people already pressed at the front of the stage (those that had entered first) everyone else was sitting around in the grass or in the areas under the pine trees with the fairy lights and the hammocks! and there were LONG lines at the merch stand and food stands ahsh so it was a pretty chill atmosphere and when I got there there was a dj set by abbie (I think) who played mostly rock and indie hits that everyone knew so everyone was dancing and singing along! obviously everyone got up for mister brightside (white ppl anthem! skjs)

after that the cribs played their set and they were really good !! I liked their songs from the afhf Playlist already and they had a really good energy live and their sound was great! and they kept thanking louis which was very nice! check them out if you haven't!

we also saw lottie and lucky in the terrace bc they were right above us and it was so weird to see them irl like what?? they exist?? crazy ahah but she's really pretty (and short!) and lucky is so cuteee! we also saw Isaac Michael (he IS hot tbh) Oli (!!!) Matt and Chris (booo) and all the girlfriends or wives

then we saw the blossoms set which I also enjoyed although I think I enjoyed their music more from the album version lol but the guy was really trying to get the crowd going so A for effort sjdj I Also liked his 70s hair and look! he kept thanking the wrong city but that's OK skgkj

then ( ~9.20pm ) there was another dj set and at this point everyone was just ready to see louis tbh zjgkh by now the crowd was bigger and getting tighter and ppl were mostly standing. also it had gotten dark which made the place and the lights even prettier

then finally and with only 15min of delay (!!) the band started to take their places and the intro started and then FINALLY the guy we'd all been waiting for took the stage woooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (the build up in the intro is so good it really feels you with anticipation! great job steve!)

this year I hadn't been watching the lives for the months before the shows like last year bc it was all in north America so I didn't know the setlist by heart and I have to say it was fun to be surprised every time ! and to experience the live versions of these songs without having heard them many times before!! I really enjoyed that! plus he went a little crazy with the setlist so by the time he did Saturday so soon I was like ok lol ANYTHING can happen tonight skdjkd and it DID! Never in the world would I have expected PARADISE!! as soon as I recognized it I was like OH NO!! I should have listened to this more RIP! at least I knew the chorus skdjkd and it was really fun live !! really went well with the rest of the setlist which was FIRE🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 probably my fav of the shows of his I've been to! all the songs were so high energy and the crowd around me was as well ! we all jumped and screamed most of the night and it was just so fun! and as always the music was so good like all the added drums and guitars in live arrangements are amazing !! my fave is probably OOMS live it's just SO GOOD from the bass intro to the drums it's just the best! also I'm happy I got to hear 7 again bc it's SUCH a good cover and even tho not everyone knew it (😒 embarrassing) I sang along the whole time sksk and he was obviously great at it! I'm also super happy that he kept BTY bc the new version is fantastic!!!! I LOVE the way he sings the first lines so much!!!!!! and it's great to sing you fuck me up you kill me !!!! all together lol let's all scream about that toxic person<333333 bonding experience! then there were also the heartfelt moments like walls which is always so beautiful especially bc live it becomes such a significant moment of pride and love we all experience together and with louis ♡♡♡ I love him sm. also copy is SO good live like it's just so perfect for that setting and is still one of his best songs tbh

louis was so alive and hyped up the whole time he was having the time of his life !!! you could see how happy and proud he was :'))) and he went down in the front even before the last songs !! it was really fun bc everyone got super squished to the side and the front every time lol (I'm sad he didn't go back enough where I was closer but it's okay shsh) anyways it was just great to see him like that especially bc this time I was close enough to actually be able to see him with my eyes the whole time without having to watch the screens like last time in Milan so it felt more "live" in a way to me , more real I guess. (I'd love to be at the very front one day but I don't have the energy for that quest 😭)

it was extremely hot the whole time (louis would have been less hot if he wore shorts but ok!!!) and ngl the crowd was SMELLY by 10pm but it was so good it didn't even matter lol

the set ended at around 11.45 I think? and then we all sang along to we are the champions which was another prideful moment <3

and then me and rhei made our way back to our bus where unfortunately a bunch of dumb fans also were lol but in the end we made it home by 1am and finally went to bed at 2am with sore throats, music ringing in our ears and hearts full!

10/10 would do it all again!

Single Lyrics Intro - Ryan Sitkowski

AN: Here we go, the intro to the Ryan single dad fic! Hope ya'll enjoy

“Hey y/n, this is Ryan, from highschool.  Listen, I really need some help and I don’t know who else I can ask.  Can you please call me back when you get the time?”

You play the voicemail message back a few times, unable to fully believe what you are hearing.  Pausing in your tracks when it plays as you are cleaning your daycare classroom.

It has been almost 10 years since you have last spoken to Ryan, a relationship that turned sour and didn’t end well.  The man broke your heart years ago, so what could he possibly need from you after all these years and from you of all people?

You sigh, going back to cleaning for the night while debating if you should call him back or not, he did sound really concerned in his voicemail.  You’re so distracted by everything that you don’t even notice when your boss and one of your best friends walks into your room.

“Okay, what is wrong? You are clearly trapped in your own head,” Miranda asks, stepping in front of you so you notice her.

You both take a seat in the two rocking chairs, you letting out a sigh before speaking. 

“Do you remember Ryan?” 

“Like the one who you cried over for weeks for being a dick, yeah. Why?” She gives you a look that lets you know she is unsure where you are going but she doesn’t approve of what you have to say.

“When all the kids left I had a voicemail, he said he really needs my help and asked me to call him back.  What should I do? Why would he call me of all people? We haven’t spoken in years,” you sigh again, conflicted and confused about what you should do.

“That is really fucking weird, do you have any clue what he needs?” She asks, you can feel the side eye that she is giving you.

“No, he didn’t say… oh shit, he is calling again now,” you immediately panic, freezing as you decide what you should do.

“Answer it, I will finish mopping. Tell me what he wants,” she says, standing up and moving to give you some privacy.

You take a deep breath before answering. “Hey Ryan, sorry I didn’t answer sooner, I was working.”

“y/n, thank you for answering.  Do you have a couple minutes to talk, I have something I really need help with and I genuinely can’t think of anyone else to ask.” You can hear the hesitation in is voice, his anxiety in his words.

“Yeah, I have some time, what’s up?” you ask softly, anxious yourself.

“My- my sister unfortunately died about a month ago in a car accident with her husband, and long story short I have custody of their 18 month old little girl, Violet, like she's officially mine.  Anyway, long story short I need a nanny who would travel with us for tours and stuff, to be with her when I can’t…. Why I can't let go of Love Between Fairy and Devil

For context me and my friend started this drama in a sense as a joke and ironically, it seemed fun, with good visuals, that was our thought process, we also discovered it's easier for us for start a drama together cause it motivates us to watch it. We were wacthing a few episodes together and then commented on the others that we watched separately.

I blame anxiety for making it hard to start TV shows, in my case I need to know what's going to happen so I wlll naturally spoil myself before starting anything, my friend is the opposite she hates spoilers. Yes, I already knew a few climatic moments that were bound to happen.

The first few episodes, it started like any drama, characters, pace, setting, and okay story till we get to episode 7/8 then I became obsessed. My job made it harder to binge it cause I was tired all the time but when I did watch, binged it and now I'm in withdrawl

Everything is amazing, if perfection exists it is this drama, from the intro animation and song (I tend to skip intros except this), the visuals otherworldly, the costumes perfection - they did an incredible job, creating distinctive cultures and nunces betwwen the fairies, the moon tribe and the mortal world, to make each unique - the love story starts a bit enemies to lovers, slow-burn with the perfect pace to it, you know they are starting to love each other just by looks alone, before any of them say anything, their actions speak, the main characters complement each other from the beginning - they start slightly one-dimensional but always complete each other from the start, the side characters are also well written and given great care - except the Emperor... he can die, I wanted to punch the screen everytime he was in it.

While I knew the part where Xiao La Hua sacrifices herself for every one, the spoilers did not prepare me for the amount ot pain I would feel when it happened, I was not prepared for the episodes 30 - 36 the pain, the crying... the feelings. The last episodes where she pretends to not remember him so that she can die, then she does the smile gesture and he knows that she knows and that broke me even more. I also believe that the key for the Goddess to awake her powers was never the wedding with Changheng but to kiss her true love Dongfang Quingcang... Prove me wrong... The parallels throught the story, visual clues.

Someone stop me please, I am not coherent enough anymore ( I never was), I want to experience it again... I just can't get over it... It may as well have dethroned Scarlet Heart: Ryeo from the top of my list... I don't even make sense anymore...

tlou episode 4 thoughts!

- i loved seeing ellie play around with the gun in the bathroom. that felt like the perfect amount of childish innocence contrasted with the fact that she clearly knows how to use a gun on some level

- THE JOKE BOOK THE JOKE BOOK THE JOKE BOOK!!!!

- i totally didn't think we would see that scene with ellie and joel in the truck, i thought that the end of the last episode was all we'd see! i even showed my friend a clip of that scene from the game because i didn't want her to miss out, oops. super cute though

- joel not being able to sleep because god help him, he has a job to do. my hearttttt 😭 and the fact that as soon as he recognizes that he cares about her, even the smallest bit, he rebuilds that wall and insists that she's just "cargo", not family. typical joel.

- they really upped the tension leading up to the iconic "he ain't even hurt" scene (although i'm sad they cut that line, because it implied so much about joel). i loved how ellie felt genuinely scared and joel kicked into protector mode (and the callback to sarah hurting her leg: "are you hurt anywhere, are you hurt?" was so good)

- okay so of all my predictions on how the stolen gun would turn out, ellie successfully saving joel was the option i called the most boring, but i'm actually 100% happy with how it turned out. we finally get to see some humanity, remorse, and sadness from ellie in relation to death, something i've been CRAVING. this felt like the ellie i know and my heart broke seeing how that encounter happened. the fact that joel actually apologizes and doesn't act like an asshole after? hello?? that was a welcome change. hbo!joel is a lot more self-loathing where game!joel is more closed off to emotion in general, so this makes sense to me. joel teaching ellie how to properly hold the gun was so cute! and then she puts the gun in her pocket anyway yesss that's so ellie, that's my little shit

- "it wasn't my first time." HMMMM is she talking about riley? did she have to kill riley? :( or someone else?

- melanie lynskey killing it as always!!! it makes so much sense to tie her to henry. i'm super interested by her story! it feels like a soft intro to abby's future story; maybe they're introducing the idea of the cycle of revenge now so people won't freak the fuck out when we get to part 2? one can hope...

- jeffrey pierce!!! i didn't recognize his face but as soon as i heard his voice i was like omg

- joel wheezing his way up the stairs was so cuuuuute, "get up you lazy ass" 😭 i love them so much

- HENRY AND SAM!!!! they must've already been in the building right? i loooove the way they introduced them after joel promised that no one would sneak up on them and they already stated that joel is hard of hearing on the right side, which we then see that he rolled over in his sleep (letting his guard down) and he didn't hear them sneaking in. just another one of joel's "failures" in his mind. and sam is deaf (?) or possibly they're just using sign language as a way to stay silent/safe? either way it all ties together so well

- this is a dumb complaint but i really wish they had used ashley johnson's cover of true faith for the credits. but i'm glad lotte kestner is getting recognition after what happened with the original trailer

Thoughts on First Kill (2022) with spoilers

I’m having a First kill brain rot so i’m just gonna let this all out. Just my personal opinions :)

Well, the theme song is cute, but tbh i really don’t like the intro itself. I know it is supposed to be campy, but they could do better. I don’t know if it’s possible to change it next season, but i hope they do. And i don’t think the budget was the problem on that aspect. 

Speaking of budget, it’s not their fault and as a non-scifi gal, it’s not a big deal to me. But again, i hope the cgi will get better next season especially the fighting choreography. 

The poor quality flashbacks was maybe my another complaint coz you don’t have to have a big budget to give it a decent editing. 

WOMEN. all of them. 

I like how the men on here were either their brothers, dads and a gay best friend so there’s no room for shipping any man with Calliette. They’re lesbians, but we know these straight stans. 

Variety was soooo wrong for calling this a tired take because it actually broke a lot stereotypes. An openly gay jock? Awkward vampire? Dark-skinned black woman lead who is being pinned on? Matriarchal family? Not to mention a lesbian show without those bury your gays trope and whatnots?

I usually like slow-burns, but they have soooo much chemistry that this worked. I smile like crazy even in those awkward interaction and eye contacts.

Tired of interracial sapphic couples that always include a white woman, but Jules is special. Sarah Catherine gave her justice and i can’t see anyone being casted for that role. As someone with anxiety, she nailed everything especially the posture and mannerisms. And it wasn’t over the top. +Jules is soooo cute and charming. 

Cal reminds me of those intimidating girls in high school that is impossible not to have a crush on. I understand SC’s reaction on the chemistry read coz Imani has this intimidating stare that is sooo hot, strong and mysterious. If you can’t see Cal being down bad, look at her eyes. It’s very expressive. 

I hate those takes that said we’re only hyping it for representation coz i genuinely enjoyed it. I’m a lesbian, but i think i’ve only consumed like 10-15 sapphic media and liked maybe 5-8 of them. That’s how picky i am. 

The kissing and make-out scenes? Oh god. I’m serious when i say this is the best or one of the bests i’ve seen (straights included). It is so passionate and authentic. Idk where that “male gaze” came from. The person who said that was dumb i’m sorry. 

The dialogue is another thing that needs improvement. The intent is there, just write it more natural

I haven’t been on tumblr in a hot minute but I have been really into forced proximity romances lately and thought I might write up something quick for Elain and Lucien. 

Lucien needs to return to Autumn to check on his mother who sent him a letter asking for help. Lucien wants to go but as Emissary has no reason to visit and Beron wouldn’t let him in the court otherwise. Elain overhears Lucien and she needs to travel to Autumn for her own agenda. As quarters get close and a bed has to be shared, passion sparks in the couple who has long refused their bond… I felt like I just wrote an intro for a telenovela. Anyway I hope you enjoy it!

Sitting in the worn chair next to Vassa, who was currently reading over his shoulder, Lucien thought he might be sick.

“Why would he hurt Eris?” Vassa’s calm tone did nothing to relax his heart which was beating faster and faster with each breath, hammering against his chest.

“He wouldn’t,” Lucien said, gripping the letter, his eyes darling across the neat handwriting once more to ensure He had read it correctly.

Eris, trapped in the torture chambers subject to all kinds of agony for what?

It wasn’t unusual for their father to take a whip to them or beat them senseless for acting against his will, but tortured for weeks on end. Even his mother had found it excruciating. 

Dragging his fingers through his hair, Lucien attempted to channel some semblance of control.

He had disowned his family long ago. Beron was not his father or his master. He was nothing to him.

“What are we going to do?” Vassa’s voice rang out in his delicate fae ears, bouncing the words around in his skull.

“We,” he gestured between the two of them. “Are going to do nothing. Beron is still working for Koschei and he will likely kill you if you make a move against him.”

Vassa huffed and he let her snatch the letter out of his hands.

“You don’t even like Eris, why are you so upset?” Lucien questioned Vassa, though the question could have very well been for himself.

“It is not Eris I am worried about,” she spat. “I couldn’t give a shit about what that bastard is up to. It is your mother.” crossing her arms her blue eyes thinned into slits. “what are you going to do?”

Lucien shook his head. He was supposed to bring information in and out of the courts and mediate conflicts, not start one.

Eris was under Beron’s Jurisdiction. Lucien couldn’t do anything if he wanted to. Interfering would mean war between courts.

Though, war was bound to happen with Autumn at some point, especially with Beron’s alliance with Koschei.

“I need to speak with Rhysand.”

“We broke alliances with Autumn court the moment we found out Beron was working with Bryillan.” Rhysand’s words slowly decimated Lucien’s plan.

If there was no reason to go to as emissary then there was no reason for him to venture to Autumn court. It would look suspicious if he went out of his own free will.

“Though we need to know the progress with spring,” Rhysand’s voice carried through the rage in Lucien’s ears.

If you want to know so badly then go there and look yourself! He wanted to bellow at Rhysand. Instead he rained in his temper and said, “almost all of the village homes are repaired but the armies are still far from what they used to be.”

He left Tamlin out of his report as he usually did, and Rhysand never complained about being ignorant of the high lord of spring. 

Lucien thought he at least owed Tamlin a bit of discretion. He had taken Lucien in when he was weakest and Lucien would always owe him for it.

“Is there anything else you need from me?” Lucien could feel her, skittering across his skin, Like a scratch he couldn’t itch. 

He needed to leave before his legs brought him somewhere he wasn’t wanted.

Rhysand shook his head in dismissal. 

Lucien left the high lords office and went to find Feyre before he left for the mortal lands to regroup.

Puzzled, Lucien continued to stare at the small Archeron who was utterly determined to confuse him.

He hadn’t heard anything since the last time he was here and that was only two weeks ago. Even if someone in Valeris was getting married it couldn’t be nearly important enough news to bring to Autumn.

Right before Elain muttered the words clarity washed over him like a typhoon from Tarquin's court.

NEW EPISODE ALERT, AND THIS ONE WAS A WHOOOOLE LOTTA AWESOME

spoilers for episode 13 of Inanimate Insanity Invitational!!!!

this episode was a total doozy, my mind was running back and forth the whole time with all the references and relationship growth and EVERYTHING!!!!

i’d like to begin with this scene, BECAUSE LOOK AT BOT!!!!!! i love their new look because it’s so them and they changed their look in the intro too and i’m so happy for them!!!!

they’re also all teaming up on my girl…. and i am very sad about that

silver spoon and candle were literally married this episode you can’t say otherwise

THEY MENTIONED MY BOY!!!! (sure it was in a negative context, but let me have this ok) also they’ve been bringing up season 2 a lot more… suspicious.

this episode really said absolutely not and like tore my little heart apart, there goes the most stable relationships from the beginning of the show

it was clear that silver spoon relied on candle a lot, and i’m interested to see where that’ll put him in the next episode. i assume his demeanour will change, based on his reaction to her elimination, but to what extent? i’m also excited to see who he’ll end up bonding with now that the one person he’s stuck to since the beginning is gone.

along with this, nickel and balloon have broke up, leaving bot in the midst of a broken alliance. bot stuck with nickel because of the friendship he had with test tube, and they stuck with balloon because they genuinely enjoyed his company. the most interesting thing about what can basically be seen as divorce arcs are the people who fall in between and their reactions to the breaking of that bond.

there’s also the issue of balloon and nickel themselves. since they’ve now broken ties, their relationship is obviously going to change, but again, we don’t know to what extent. is there going to be a chance at them bonding again, or are they just going to pick at each other the same way they did in season 2? we don’t know yet, and i’m honestly scared to know!!!! considering that nickel did blame himself for the falling out between him and baseball, i hope he’s aware that this whole debacle was also his fault. i hope nickel’s able to recognise that this time there’s an opportunity for a second chance if he plays his cards right, and he at least tries to act on that.

cabby and yin-yang, on the other hand, are prospering!!!! i’m so happy for them, because they’ve both faced issues of being shunned simply for their nature, and i hope that they can move past that together. they’ve really made themselves out to be quite the team, and it was so fun watching them get along this episode. if balloon doesn’t end up going solo, i assume he’ll be joining their little pair! they’re such an unlikely bond that compliment each other very well and i’m so happy for them!!!!

i liked this episode quite a lot, if i didn’t make that obvious enough, and despite the fact that 4s wasn’t in it, it made up for it!!!!
