BACKGROUND .

001.  theodora  sinchai  is  born  in  bellevue,  washington  to  chayaphon  “atlas”  sinchai  and  rosalind  laurent  as  the  eldest  of  two  children.   atlas  craved  stability.  with  an  established  career  in  finance,  he  was  more  than  content  to  eventually  settle  down.  rosalind  was  flighty.  always  looking  for  an  adventure.  and  that’s  how  she  meets  atlas.

somehow  the  two  ended  up  married  with  kids.  maybe  money  had  something  to  do  with  it.  or  it  was  love.  either  way,  the  sinchai  family  are  by  no  means  poor.  and  neither  are  the  laurents.  atlas  is  able  to  afford  the  stability  he  so  desperately  wanted  for  his  family.  rosalind  on  the  other  hand,  quickly  grew  tired  of  suburban  life  in  bellevue  soon  after  her  children  were  born.  she  never  wanted  to  be  around  her  children.  often  looking  for  excuses  to  jet  off  on  a  trip.  growing  up  around  that  wasn’t  easy.  theo  is  more  often  than  not  under  the  care  of  their  father  or  paternal  grandparents.

002.  at  age  7,  theo’s  parents  are  told  that  she’s  a  ballet  prodigy.  they’ve  got  promise  and  it  can  only  get  better  if  they  continue  their  training.  and  that’s  what  she  decides  to  do.  what  does  she  know?  she’s  only  7  at  the  time  and  thoroughly  enjoying  ballet  class.  

things  do  change  a  little  when  her  mother  starts  paying  more  attention  to  her.  theo  isn’t  used  to  it.  but  it’s  also  comforting  for  her  mother  to  want  to  spend  time  with  them.  at  age  10,  theo  auditions  for  the  joffrey  ballet  school’s  new  york  city  ballet  summer  intensive  program.  she’s  accepted.  no  surprise  there.

003.  when  her  mother  hears  of  this,  theo  is  suddenly  spending  A  LOT  more  time  with  her.  and  very  focused  on  advancing  her  daughter’s  dance  career.  it’s  the  most  time  theo’s  spent  with  their  mother  in  years.

at  15,  her  parents,  namely  her  father,  tells  her  and  her  sibling  of  their  divorce.  so  theo  slowly  starts  to  fixate  on  her  dancing.  perfecting  every  move.  becoming  a  soloist.  landing  the  lead  in  productions.  they  don’t  know  it  yet,  but  their  mother  uses  their  talent  as  an  accessory.  a  way  to  say  she  “successfully  raised”  a  prodigy.

at  18,  she  leaves  for  college.  she  works  her  ass  of  and  gets  accepted  to  juilliard  for  dance.  and  they’re  ecstatic.  again,  can’t  really  narrow  down  why.  is  it  the  validation  of  being  accepted  into  a  competitive  school  for  dance,  no  less?  or  maybe  it’s  because  theo  can  finally  get  away  from  their  mother?  also  possible.

004.  at  22,  theo  auditions  for  different  ballet  companies.  the  royal  ballet.  new  york  city  ballet.  los  angeles  ballet.  and  eventually  makes  the  decision  to  sign  a  contract  with  los  angeles.  ultimately  making  the  decision  to  relocate.  to  no  one’s  surprise,  she  thrives.  theo  slowly  moves  up  the  ranks.  principal  dancer  is  in  her  sights.  and  at  27,  it  pays  off .  and  most  recently,  theo  decides  to  sign  a  lease  with  wistera  ,  making  the  commute  to  work  that  much  closer.

 BACKGROUND  TLDR  ;  mom  friend  mixed  with  the  slightly  obsessed  artist  trope  .  very  focused  on  their  craft  and  is  determined  to  be  the  absolute  best  they  can  be.  born  and  raised  in  washington  but  has  relocated  a  couple  times  (  new  york  and  then  los  angeles  )  .  has  held  the  position  of  being  principal  ballerina  for  the  los  angeles  ballet  for  five  years  now  .  recently  engaged  which  is  part  of  the  reason  why  they  moved  to  wisteria

theo  can  come  off  as  a  little  detached  and  analytical.  she’s  open-minded  and  cares  about  the  truth  and  feel  the  need  to  understand  what’s  going  on.  but  most  of  the  time,  people  view  her  as  patient,  nurturing  and  objective.  your  typical  mom  friend  who  always  has  her  shit  together.  and  almost  always  willing  to  lend  a  helping  hand.

She had J’onn, she’d always have J’onn, but she had found her family on Earth. There wasn’t a day that went by that M’gann didn’t miss her parents. She’d think about what the government had done to them and fear with what was happening with Agent Liberty meant it’d happen to her too. She missed her mother’s hugs and her father’s smile. She knew Zatanna felt similarly with her own father and that time each year that came around, boiled down to one hour that she deserved so much more. M’gann hoped she could be as much of a family to Zatanna as she was to her. 

“I didn’t come just to raid your closet, I just wanted to check on you.” M’gann told her as she sat on the edge of Zatanna’s bed. “That you can talk to me,” a pause before M’gann said in the other woman’s mind, ‘even if it’s telepathically. That way no one can hear. You know I prefer this way anyway. It’s what I’m used to.’

She whirled around, ready to tell off some drunk guy---and most likely punch him---but she paused when she saw a woman there instead. Gwen sat on the edge of the rooftop, her mask off as she stared out at the New York City skyline. Her heart felt heavy as she remembered what the day was. She hadn’t even gone to the cemetery yet, she didn’t know if she would. She was a coward like that. This day lived in her head on a constant loop, in her dreams like a reoccurring nightmare that won’t leave. The only thing was that she didn’t get to wake up and shake it off because it was a memory, one that left her shaking and in tears as she remembered the way Peter curled up in her arms, whispering that he had only wanted to be special, like her. All she had done was hurt him. Broke him. 

She could even find the fucking courage to go to his grave. 

Letting out a shaky breath, Gwen squeezed her eyes shut and felt a tear roll down her cheek. Her breath stuttered and she wiped at her cheeks to get the tears to try to stop, only managing to not fall off the building because of her reflexes when a loud noise tore her out of her misery. She whipped around and tugged down her mask, ready to attack as she saw a portal form on the rooftop. “Of course. Never can be an easy night, can it?” Gwen muttered to herself, prepping herself to be ready as a woman stepped through. 

“Well, I gotta admit, I was expecting like...a robot army. Or aliens from a different dimension.” Gwen said as she faltered, slightly confused, and lowering her arms. The woman didn’t feel like she would attack...she was clearly powerful, but Gwen had a feeling this woman wouldn’t harm her. “You’re not going to attack me, right? Not gonna lie, been a shitty night so I really wouldn’t be a fan.”

hello everyone, and welcome to our first team mission pairing! all characters submitted through the participation call on discord have been put into teams of either three or four, and below the cut, you will find more details on the predicament they have found themselves in. here’s how the missions will work: 

there will be a dedicated discord channel under the “discord ic” category for each mission. that is where these threads will take place! please use tupperbox and the #tupper-register channel (or the tupper dashboard, if you’re fancy) to create bots for your characters to write under in these channels. 

the missions will last two weeks to give everyone plenty of time to work through the missions—if you feel your thread needs more time than that at the end, feel free to give us a heads up and keep going! 

plot away amongst your teams to come up with an outline of how these missions will go. get creative with it! we’d love to see what you come up with. please remember to run all major plots by the admins. 

we hope you all have fun with these missions! if you want to adjust anything about the mission parameters we’ve set out below, please, feel free to reach out to the admins and we will adjust accordingly! these are bare bones outlines meant to give you a jumping off point, but if you feel something else would be more in line with your character, please let us know and we’ll work it into the plots!

begging for mercy

wonder woman, superman and batman tracked the message sent about the redeemer to a remote part of wyoming, deep in yellowstone national park. unfortunately, all they found there was forest, forest, and more forest, and the more the three venture out into the fray, the more they realize: there’s nothing here.

they’re about to give up and head back to their respective homes when reality starts to blur around them, and they find it more and more difficult to find their way out of the forest. bruce realizes, too late, that this untouched area of the forest is infested with ater clementia, colloquially known as black mercy.

before he can alert the other two to their need to escape, and quickly, they sink into delusions of a perfect life, far from the troubles of their daily lives.

just a shot away

while tracking brick’s gang in star city, black canary found a crate of strange, futuristic weapons, all recently unloaded from a transport van with new jersey plates. it doesn’t take a huge logical leap to realize the weapons came from gotham city, and she hopped on the first flight she could get out there.

in central city, the flash has been tracking weapons coming in and out of the city for some time now; central, being the largest transportation hub in the midwest, also has a thriving black market, and barry is ready to nip it in the bud. they found a similar crate of futuristic, highly dangerous weapons, offloaded from an express train from gotham city, and they took off for the jersey coast as well.

zatanna zatara has also been keeping track of these weapons; she’s interrupted quite a few of their shipments, but there are always, always more. they are quite fed up with it, and after canceling their show for the night, they decided to finish this, once and for all.

hawkgirl hadn’t been paying attention to the weapons until she had to—when she had been nearly shot out of the sky by weapons so destructive they had actually posed a threat to her. now, shayera is pissed off and looking for justice. or vengeance. whichever feels best.

our four intrepid heroes track their investigations to a warehouse on the gotham docks where they run into each other for the first time; now, the four of them will have to find a way to work together and take down the mysterious weapons master.

wild, wild west

if green lantern was being honest, he was tired of inexplicable events in his life. that was why green arrow invited him out on patrol, in the hopes they could bust some low-level gangsters in star city and go home able to pat themselves on the back and worry about the troubling message later.

of course, nothing goes to plan in star city, and when they find constantine locked in a bona fide, potter-esque duel, they had no choice but to throw themselves into the fray (as stupid as that might be for two people with no magic). constantine had been tracking this particular dark magic user for some time now, starting back in gotham city, and found that this evening was the best night to strike and hopefully take him out.

the duel turned out to be a much more difficult battle to win than constantine had originally anticipated. the force of his opponent’s spells started to literally tear the asphalt off the earth, and constantine tried to green lantern and green arrow to get back, and quick, but the warning came too late, as the three of them are sucked through a portal.

where do they land up? what isn’t quite yet california, 1801. cowboy country. with constantine’s quarry nowhere to be found, the three have to work together to track him down and find a way back to their own time.

everybody loves a clown

ferris aircraft sources only the best quality parts for their aviation technology, and carol ferris makes sure of that by making routine trips to the various suppliers to make sure everything is going to plan. she was making one of these trips, this time in gotham city, to a warehouse on bleake island, when things took a turn for the worse.

forcing their way through the back door of the warehouse, armed to the teeth with brightly colored weapons, gangsters in clown makeup shoot up at the ceiling, getting everyone’s attention. a man in a blue jacket, with the name mr. frost emblazoned across the arm, entered with a grin, practically skipping up to carol.

“well, well, well. lookie here, boys! boss-lady’s in town.” he turned to her with a malicious smile. “this is what we here in gotham like to call a robbery.”

caught in the crossfire is leslie thompkins, who had been asked to pay a visit to the warehouse to meet the union leader as they were getting off their shift. carol and leslie are now part of an active robbery.

when she saw the commotion at the warehouse, catwoman knew she should just keep her head down and mind her business, but she was never fond of seeing innocent people in real danger; from her associations with harley, she knew enough about jonny frost to know that none of those hostages were going to make it out of there alive. when she saw leslie was one of the unlucky people in there, she knew: she couldn’t just keep walking by.

now, how the hell is she going to communicate to leslie that she’s coming to the rescue?

Ouviu demais sobre o preconceito que a mãe sofreu dos homens, simplesmente por seu povo ser cigano e ter suas próprias crenças e costumes que não eram compreendidos, além de serem perseguidos e temidos sem motivo algum. Sua esperança é que isso acabe e que qualquer tipo de preconceito existente possa ser extinto para que se entenda que ninguém é superior ao outro por qualquer que seja o motivo.

EVENT 001 — ANNUAL UNITY FESTIVAL — PLOT DROP

The mayor, a fat, arrogant man, takes the stage, a number of the VIPS who were at his dinner on stage with him. The elegant stone fire pit in the center of the stage has a table next to it stacked high with old capes, cowls, figurines of superheroes and other memorabilia from the time before the ban, ready to burn. 

He moves to the microphone, a grin on his features, and the crowd falls silent as he’s about to speak—

And with a thump, the power goes out. All the street lights, all the traffic lights, the stage lights, everything, goes out. Everyone, too shocked to say anything, falls even more silent. Nothing is happening. No one is moving. No one is breathing.

It’s when the lights come back on that all hell breaks loose as bullets are sprayed into the crowd, the mayor falling to the stage, dead before he hits the ground.

As the festival descends into chaos, no one even notices that the memorabilia is gone.

As soon as the blackout happens, SELINA knows that this is her chance. DANI picks up on this as well, and both of them manage to get away with all of the memorabilia, with some help from LEONARD. On their way out of the festival, however, they run into JOKER and HARLEY, who are waiting for DANI to give them what they asked for. Selina begrudgingly hands over some of the memorabilia she had stolen, if only to get JOKER out of her hair. SELINA and LEONARD take half of the memorabilia to her safe house, while JOKER and HARLEY take the other half after paying DANI.On his way back onto the stage JOKER runs into STEVE. 

HARRY OSBORN, TONY STARK, JAMES RHODES, JUBILATION LEE, MALLORY BRICKMAN, PEPPER POTTS, ADRIAN VEIDT, GARFIELD LOGAN

For the VIPS on the stage, as soon as the shooting starts, they’re immediately ushered off the stage. HARRY and JUBILATION are taken directly towards OSCORP, the tower only a couple of blocks away from the festival. TONY and PEPPER are pushed towards a squad car, but pull away, going into the crowd to search for their friends, immediately running into JAMES.  GARFIELD is separated from his adoptive parents, and ADRIAN offers to help find them.

BRUCE WAYNE, DAMIAN WAYNE, DICK GRAYSON, JAMES GORDON, HARVEY DENT, JASON TODD, TIM DRAKE, BARBARA GORDON

When HARVEY sees that the mayor is on the ground, he drops to his knees, pressing both hands over the bullet wound in his chest to try and stop the bleeding. JIM gets on his radio and immediately starts directing officers to evacuate the festival and get medical personnel on stage to help. BRUCE offers his handkerchief to help stop the bleeding while his kids and partners gravitate towards him. He directs DAMIAN and DICK to go look for the missing memorabilia while asking BARBARA and JASON to try and patch into the streetlight system and figure out how the lights suddenly shut off. TIM and BRUCE immediately start looking for clues, trying to piece the situation together.

CLINT BARTON, KATE BISHOP, CONNOR HAWKE, OLIVER QUEEN, ROY HARPER, DINAH LANCE, THEA QUEEN

JASON immediately tackles ROY when the shooting starts before running up to the stage. Before ROY has time to react, CONNOR is dragging him towards a nearby building. OLIVER and DINAH are already climbing up the side of the building, where CLINT and KATE are already on the roof. After butting heads with CLINT for a moment, OLIVER takes the lead, directing CLINT and KATE to the building across the festival while sending CONNOR, THEA and DINAH down towards the crowd to help evacuate people from the street, leaving OLIVER and ROY on top of the building just in time for OLIVER to get hit—and hand ROY his bow.

(TIME-DISPLACED) HANK MCCOY, BART ALLEN, CONNER KENT, KYLE RAYNER, ARTEMIS CROCK, CASSANDRA SANDSMARK, KORIAND’R, ROSE WILSON, RACHEL ROTH

Before anything starts, ROSE sees it happening in a precognitive flash. She immediately reaches her hands out to both BART and HANK, ordering them to get down, pushing them both to the ground. People in front of them both fall, dead from gunshot wounds. CONNER immediately comes over to help BART up, while KYLE, RACHEL, AND KORIAND’R start ushering the people around them away. ARTEMIS and CASSANDRA start looking around for the people who are shooting, but ROSE drags them away from the scene, seeing nothing but trouble ahead.

FLASH THOMPSON, WADE WILSON, GWEN STACY, KAREN PAGE, MJ WATSON, BILLY BATSON, PETER PARKER

When the shooting starts, GWEN immediately goes to MJ. FLASH and MJ were together, and  the three of them manage to move about the crowd. WADE notices PETER off to the side, and grabs him by the arm to go with the others. KAREN, realizing that BILLY is alone, does what she thinks she has to do—not knowing that he’s perfectly capable of caring for himself—and pulls him towards the small group of people shifting out of the way, guiding FLASH over as well. The eight of them duck into an alleyway and wait for everything to quiet down.

ALEXANDER POWER, JACK POWER, SAM WILSON, KATIE POWER, ANDREW PULASKI, JAMES GORDON JR., LUCUS TRENT, CAITLIN SNOW, FELICITY SMOAK

SAM and ANDREW immediately go into work mode when the shooting starts. SAM starts guiding his drone to scan for any suspicious figures above them while ANDREW starts guiding people to safety. ALEX looks for DICK for a moment before giving up, instead finding KATIE and JACK and following ANDREW to safety. LUCUS stands by to help ANDREW, rounding up JAMES, CAITLIN, and FELICITY, all of them ducking into a nearby store and waiting for things to die down.

BUCKY BARNES, BOBBI MORSE, NATASHA ROMANOVA, ORORO MONROE, PEGGY CARTER, BARRY ALLEN, CHARLIE ROSE DUBOIS

BUCKY and NATASHA are together during the blackout, and immediately know that they’ll need to act fast once the lights are back up. They, along with BOBBI, ORORO, PEGGY, BARRY, and CHARLIE start guiding civilians away from the festival.

(TIME DISPLACED) BOBBY DRAKE, FOGGY NELSON, LOGAN HOWLETT, MATT MURDOCK, (CURRENT TIME) JEAN GREY, LAURA KINNEY, CLARK KENT, JON KENT, KARA DANVERS, SHIERA HALL, ROSEMARY ATKINSON

BOBBY acts without thinking when the shooting starts, immediately putting up a wall of ice and watching a number of bullets slam into it. MATT tackles FOGGY to the ground when the bullets slam into the ice, not realizing that the bullets that he heard coming towards them were stopped for a moment. JEAN immediately starts dragging BOBBY away from the ice wall, not wanting him to be associated with the use of his powers, while LOGAN and LAURA follow closely behind. MATT starts running towards the building where he heard shots coming from, immediately slamming his shoulder into the door to push through and run up the stairs to where he can hear someone disassembling a gun. CLARK, SHIERA, KARA and JON start to fly towards the opposite side and fan out, looking for shooters in the top floors of that building. ROSEMARY catches up with JEAN, BOBBY, LOGAN and LAURA, and the five of them realize that people are watching them—having noticed BOBBY put up the ice wall—and must decide what to do next.

VALENTINA’S vision starts again, this time from the point of view of the same spot she’s currently standing in. She manages to duck out in time, grabbing YELENA’S arm on the way The two follow behind FELICIA, KOMAND’R, and CHATO— all of them making it to an allyway that was being used as a hideout by PAMELA, OSWALD, EDWARD, ENIGMA and ISABELLA. FRANK remained unfazed, his eyes searched the crowds for any sign as to who could have caused this. GRANT, utterly bored by what’s going on, runs into LESTER, EMMA, and LEOPOLD, all of whom are watching from that same alleyway with the same disinterest. MICK runs into LISA and SARA and the three of them leave to look for LEONARD. MICKEY, JAMIE, JULIAN and ALEKSANDRA all take cover in one of the vendors’ stalls, waiting for everything to end.

(TIME DISPLACED) SCOTT SUMMERS, TOMMY SHEPHERD, (CURRENT TIME) WARREN WORTHINGTON, (TIME-DISPLACED) WARREN WORTHINGTON, ANNA MARIE, REMY LEBEAU, LORNA DANE, (TIME-DISPLACED) JEAN GREY, WANDA MAXIMOFF, HOWARD REYES, LEORA MORETTI, MARNIE BOND

(TIME DISPLACED) SCOTT and (TIME-DISPLACED) WARREN hear the gunshots go off and immediately look for (TIME-DISPLACED) JEAN and HANK. Unable to find HANK, they meet up with (CURRENT TIME) WARREN, ANNA MARIE, WANDA, and REMY , who quickly decide they need to make a hasty exit before one of the time-displaced gets hurt in the wrong timeline. HOWARD looks for NORA running into TOMMY. Both of them see LEORA and LORNA held at gunpoint by an unidentified assailant and decide to help.

AMERICA CHAVEZ, MEGAN GWYNN, JAY GARRICK, JOHN CONSTANTINE, ARTEMIS OF BANA-MIGHDALL, IRIS WEST, JESSICA CRUZ, LOIS LANE, NORA FRIES, ZATANNA ZATARA,

AMERICA, MEGAN and ARTEMIS OF BANA-MIGHDALL were all participating in small talk by the bar when their smiles fell. ZATANNA quickly realized this had been the blackout Valentina had mentioned and managed to move LOIS, NORA, JESSICA and IRIS away from the side stage before the shooting began. When the first shot was heard JOHN’S cigarette fell and he ran, bumping into JAY along the way.

005. ▻ Su madre estuvo ausente casi por toda su vida; desapareció sin dejar rastro, dejando a ella y a su padre solos, y siendo dada por muerta. Desde niña, su padre le muestra el arte de los espectáculos de magia sobre el escenario. Esta participa con él en multitud de eventos, cobrándose, al igual que él, renombre y fama como maga. Mas un día, cuando la joven volvía de uno de sus shows, Giovanni desaparece como su madre, sin dejar rastro.  ▻  Zatanna desconoce sobre el pasado de sus padres hasta que luego de la desaparición de su padre, entre sus papeles encuentra un libro muy antiguo y un diario, en el cual escribe sobre su vida y sobre los orígenes y el poder que posee su hija sin esta misma saberlo. Al abrir el libro antiguo comprende que al citar los conjuros al revés podía hacer magia de verdad, sin trucos, tal y como hacía su padre. En ese momento decide que algún día, lo encontraría. Y así comienza su búsqueda, que termina por llevarla a casi ninguna parte. ▻  Al pasar los años e ir creciendo, Zatanna ya es una famosa maga encima y fuera de los escenarios, llamando la atención de un grupo de personas, que deciden enviarla al Instituto Bouwen.

006. ▻ Zatanna es un poco distante y cerrada. Aprendió a valerse por si misma y no le gusta trabajar en equipo, piensa que puede hacer todo por su cuenta. Es inteligente, astuta, independiente, misteriosa y leal. Seria y sensata, pero también hace decisiones impulsivas y sabe como pasar un buen rato. No le gusta compartir sus sentimientos, ya que tiene algunos problemas de abandono (y daddy issues). Tiene un carácter fuerte y un gusto por la ironía. ▻  Puede ser algo indecisa, teme que algo que pueda hacer perjudique a las personas que realmente le importan. Le resulta fácil empatizar con la gente y entender como estos se sienten, a pesar de que a veces puede estar muy cegada por sus propios sentimientos. ▻  Es directa y parece bastante segura de si misma. No le tiene miedo a nada ni nadie. ▻ Se podría decir que su punto débil es su padre. Su recuerdo la vuelve más sensible, y desde su desaparición siempre ha intentado llenar el hueco que él dejó. Quizás por esto, sus relaciones de pareja han sido siempre muy cortas y nunca han terminado del todo bien.
