Karlach was panting by the time she got to the forge in Baldurs Gate. She had sprinted through the streets as fast as she possibly could considering the crowds, especially once the Steel Watchers had started to crumble and collapse - it drew in plenty of curious citizens and bewildered Fists.

"Dammon!" Karlach called out as she finally reached him. Trying to quickly catch her breath has she collected her thoughts. They had already reunited since she came home - or at least somewhat. The whole gang was around to check in on him so it didn't lead to much space for a private conversation. Maybe that was for the best... They had both decided it would be better to leave things with no strings attached. To enjoy what they had for that short time at Last Light then leave it alone. But...maybe there was a chance for something more. 'Please...let something good happen to me for once' she thought as she reached the forge.

"The Foundry!" Karlach took one last deep breath and started to dramatically throw her hands around as she tried to race through an explanation. "The Steel Watchers - the Gondians! They were stuck there making those damned things! But those Watchers are made of similar stuff to me, one of them even recognised my engine as an older model! So, when we got there, we found all sorts of shit to do with my engine and those things! We found the Gondians, saved them and they said there's a chance they can try and find a way to fix me for good! They're going through the remains right now, trying to find as much as they can that I couldn't take out with me before it blew up - but they'll need your help."

Her eyes were wide, practically pleading. "I know you've done so much for me already...but this could be it, Dammon. With your expertise on Infernal machinery and their equipment and knowledge on these Watchers... I might stand a chance. Please... I'll repay you a thousand times over, I promise."

i know everyone (correctly) talks about how sam reid was possessed by the ghost of lestat and perfectly encapsulates him in the show but i honest to god firmly believe that that show would not have been what it was (nor received the reception it did) without jacob anderson. he breathed such life into a character that probably wouldn't have been all that tolerable for multiple episodes let alone seasons.

The initial news had startled her, but as fast as it had arrived, she had quickly tucked it to the back of her mind. There was far more important things to concern herself with for now. Her fellow companions had approached in turn. Some with condolences, others with an invigorated sense of determination that there will be another way to fix her. To not lose hope.

So, she didn't. She certainly didn't let the news crumble her. This was still the best day of her life. She was able to give Wyll a hug. Shake Gale's hand. Pat Shadowheart on the back - all things that were just a dream a day ago. And she had only one person to thank for this.

"They are incredible, but they're not the ones I need to thank today. Not like I don't have some time to spend with them later." She waved as if to shoo the topic away. "So! What's your poison? Though, I guess it depends on what they even have here..." Karlach tilted her head toward the Inn, indicating the bar. A soft, friendly smile donning her features.

Hans couldn't say he'd ever paid much attention to Henry's armour before but lately he'd been arriving at the Devil's Den with the most unique and interesting designs emblazoned across his shield. He'd seen bright colours, art depicting Mutt and Ignatius, even his Skalitz village crest.

But the latest illustration was most intriguing of all.

Hans entered their shared room, finding himself alone. Henry been there, his equipment was propped against the wall. Including the shield which caught the noble's eye immediately and he picked it up for a proper look.

The colours were split down the middle, bright Leipa yellow and Henry's distinctive shade of red. Artwork depicting a pair of crossed swords were displayed in the centre with the words Audentes Fortuna Iuvat emblazoned around it. Hans couldn't help but smile.

"What do you think?"

Hans scanned over the shield again, nodding, "I am curious as to your inspiration."

"You know me," Henry chuckled, moving further into the room, "I get all my ideas from experience."

Hans turned to face him. The freshly-bathed blacksmith grinned, swigging from a phial of Schnapps which he happily shared with Hans.

"I like it," Hans said genuinely, handing the remaining Schnapps back to Henry, "what did Voyta make of it?"

"Oh, he was fine," Henry waved a hand dismissively, "he wasn't the one running around finding the ingredients for the pigments."

Hans laughed, shaking his head, "well, in that case, such commitment deserves a reward."

"Now you're talking," Henry grabbed Hans around the waist, planting a toe-curling kiss on him as the shield clattered to the ground beside them.

Whenever I get hyperfixated on a show or podcast or whatever, I like to commemorate it by making one of these weird bad embroideries and hanging it on what I call my Wall of Hyperfixations.

I'm not good at embroidery, and I don't really care to be. It's just a silly, fun thing I do while I watch my favorite shows, and it makes me happy.

Remember kids, it's okay to be bad at something and do it anyway because it brings you joy.
