So artificial insemination via lettuce was the least of ancient Egyptian craziness

When fighting for the throne of Egypt, Seth (god of the desert) tried to show his dominance over Horus (god of the sky) by ...cumming on him. The attempt was thwarted, and Horus instead made Seth eat lettuce leaves on which he had ejaculated.

When they stood before Thoth (god of wisdom) to decide, once and for all, who should the ruler of all Egypt be, Horus claimed that since he had impregnated Seth and thus dominated him, Seth wasn't fit to rule. Seth disagreed (my man wasn't aware of the lil' lettuce gag his nephew had pulled).

Thoth then called out to the semen in Seth's body to show itself— the semen came out as proof of Seth's subjugation, and Horus was crowned king.

BUT it gets wilder.

Apparently when Thoth asked Horus' semen to exit Seth's body, the semen took the form of a golden disk— which Thoth put on his own head???

PIDW and Naruto are more similar than you may think

Both have overpowered protagonists with famous (and strong) parents. Both protagonists were bullied to hell in their childhood. Both series have the underdog triumph his haters.

But the biggest similarity they share is in how both stories hide(?) the true underdog. Yes I'm talking about Rock Lee and Shen Jiu.

At first glance, they couldn't be more different. Rock Lee is a GOOD man, he gets along well with his peers, is cheerful, has a great mentor figure with him throughout the series, and can rely upon his teammates.

Shen Jiu is... a difficult character to like. He's hateful and abusive and... he's got so MANY issues (arguably a product of his upbringing)

But they're BOTH the ultimate proof of hard work and determination and grit in the face of obstacles (RL's difficulty with using chakra for ninjutsu, SJ's difficulty with...surviving, and eventually with cultivating)

[IMO!!!] They're the real underdogs in their respective series. Ones the audience aren't told to cheer on (because they aren't the main characters!)

I went to fanfiction dot net to get my fix of Ranma x Ryouga (because I've run out of ao3 fics 🥹) and i gotta say...early 2000s RanRyo authors are fugging legends. I'd delete my account if I had to encounter so much homophobia in my comments 😭 them writing full length epics despite the hate is BADASS
