pt 2
— parents immigrated from italy when he was either 3-4 so he doesn’t know italian but he knows that he wasn’t born in the states
— played baseball when he was a kid and baseball ONLY (hates football so much idc he hates it) and could throw like 78 mph
— spent his later teen years at an orphanage because his relatives still lived in italy, and a lot of the younger boys there at the orphanage thought of him like an older brother and he wanted to protect them a lot or whatever
— likes it when people call him nicknames but not anything affectionate , only shortened or adapted versions of his name like “lee” or just calling him kennedy
— owns a tape of marylin monroe singing to jfk that he only plays his birthdays because he doesn’t have anyone to sing to him (he connects the whole kennedy last name dots in his head)
— got really into ghost adventures when it was airing for the first few years and wanted to look like zach baggins (or chris angel)
— i also think he was a gymnast for just a LITTLE bit because of how many fucking backflips he does , or alternatively he really wanted to be a gymnast but he couldn’t because his parents told him it was a girls sport
— does not like almonds
— used to eat his toast borderline soggy because of how light the heat he puts on it and then covers it in butter
— LOVED the alien movies when he was a teenager and used to sneak out past curfew to rewatch it in theaters (he also befriended a worker at the theater so he could steal one of the promotional posters)
— grinds his teeth
— has a lot of acne scars on his back and a little bit on his chest but they’re not as visible
— never clipped his nails a day in his life he nibbles on those things like a full corse meal and then spits it out like dip
— likes butterfly knives a lot and has a little collection , probably can do really cool tricks but sometimes he messes up and gashes his finger open
— crime shows r his guilty pleasure he LOVES those corny shows talking abt “unsubs” and “holy shit this guy is good.. pure psycho” eats it up eats it up yummy

ok full disclosure this is a stupid fic that i'm only writing because my friend promised me he would draw leon as a cowboy if i did
Leon Kennedy x M!Reader
Leon wanted to get away. He couldn't bear being in the cities anymore, not after what happened. The Midwest was tiring, given that was all he had been around. He wanted to head West, go to the coast, but that would prove to be more stressful than it was in his hometown. East had too many people, so his last resort was going south.
Ever since Leon was a boy, he had loved cowboys. He loved horses, and he always daydreamed about living on a ranch. The fact that he couldn’t ride a horse ruined the fantasy. But he was 22 now, and he could do whatever he wanted. He was an adult. He ended up Texas, out of the city and a more rural area. It was 1999, a hot summers day in July. It would be his first day working on the ranch.
He had driven to the ranch he would be working at by dirt road, lacking any signs or speed limits. He parked in a field, a rugged old wooden shack sitting beside it. There were two other cars next to him, one of which was a 1979 Trans-Am. Its tires were covered in dirt, clearly lacking a wash as of late.
When Leon got out of his car, he could feel the sun beaming down on his face. His outfit, a blue and white button up and a pair of blue jeans, was proving to be not that great of a choice for this 92° weather. He let out a soft sigh as he closed his car door behind him, pocketing his keys and bringing a hand up to his forehead, shielding his eyes from the light of the large burning sun.
Leading from the parked cars was a small path of caved grass, dead against the dirt that lead to the shack ahead of him. He figured that's where he needed to go. He wasn't given any instructions anyways. He walked up the dirt path, arms by his sides until he reached the door. He opened it with a small breath, the warm air continuing to run through the non-conditioned shack.
Behind a desk was another worker. He held a pen in his hands as he worked on filling out a sheet of paper. Leon stepped forward, his footsteps soft against the floor but still causing the wood below him to creek at every step he took. The man behind the counter looked up from the paper, giving Leon a once over before clearing his throat. "How can I help ya?" he questioned, his voice low holding a southern drawl. Leon took in a soft breath, swiping his hand underneath his nose.
"I'm Leon Kennedy. It's uh, my first day." He told the man with a nod, pocketing his thumbs into his jeans. His midwestern accent was evident compared to the people he had heard. He was in the deep south now, and he stuck out like a sore thumb. The man raised a brow, titling his head to the right as he gave Leon another look. His eyes then widened out of remembrance.
He nodded, standing up out of his chair before reaching his hand out for Leon to shake. "Ah, right, Kennedy. You're gonna be workin' with them horses, right?" asked the man, a kind smile spreading across his lips. Leon gave the slightest smile back with a nod. "That's what I was told," replied Leon. The man let out a small breath from his nose as his smile grew a bit more wide. "Alrighty then. I'd say you should head over to the stable. There's gonna be another boy there that'll help you out. He's a bit quiet though, so, y'know, be patient." the man spoke nodding his head to the door that led right of the desk.
Leon lifted his brows a bit before giving a steady nod. "Okay. Uh, thank you." Leon gave another nod, before following the eyes of the man. The man tipped his hat to Leon as a way of saying good bye. Leon didn't have a hat, so the best he could do was return with a nod.
Leon exited the shack through the right hand door, walking back into the beaming heat. He felt blinded by the sudden light against his face, resorting to hovering his hand above his eyes to sheild from the glare. There was another dirt path he walked upon, this one leading directly to a much larger, more sturdy looking stable. The faint sounds of huffs from the horses were audible.
Leon approached the stable with his hands in his pockets, before pulling one out so that he could open the doors. His hand was tentative, he was bit nervous. He knew that someone would be behind the door. He just didn't know who. What would they be like? He hoped that he got along with them well, given that he was probably going to be working along with them for the foreseeable future.
He pushed the door open slowly, being met with the kind scent of manure and hay. His nose scrunched a bit, letting out a small groan from the back of his throat. His eyes squinted slightly as he looked down to the floor. His shoes had already gotten mud on them. He let out a short sigh before glancing back up to the room surrounding him. He could hear plenty of horses, seeing their stables. But at the very end of the rows, he saw a man.
The man held a carrot in his hand, the horse he was standing by nibbling on the veggie and letting out happy huffs. Against the mans face was a small smile, his lips curving upwards and forming a small crease in his skin. His arms, moreover his shoulders, were the most defined part of his body, given that he used most of the muscles in that area every day as he fed, brushed, and exercised the horses. Leon had clear sight of them. He wore a tank top, slightly dulled in color due to various dirt stains and general wear and tear over the years. On the bottom he wore worn jeans, small holes by the knees and the back of the leg, the base of them resting on the ground with brown tint. They seemed just a bit too big on him, having been wrapped around his waist with a tightly cinched belt. His hat was white with a tan strip at the base, casting a shadow over his face.
Small bags were underneath his eyes, but his gaze held a warmth as he interacted with the horse. Leon took in a deep breath. An odd feeling filled his stomach as he continued to stare. His stomach turned, his heart beating a little bit faster. A bit confused with the sudden new emotion, he decided he would ignore it. He shoved both of his hands back into his pockets, rolling one of his shoulders back before starting to approach the man. Each step he took made a crunching noise, but it didn't seem to catch his attention. Leon continued to approach until he was only a few feet away. He cleared his throat. "Hey," Leon started, shifting his weight onto his other foot.
Slightly startled, he flinched ever so slightly, his carrot slipping from his fingers for a brief moment before he caught it. He looked to his right, only to be met with a face he had never seen before. His gaze trailed over Leon, almost analytically, like he was studying his face to commit it to memory. He didn't say a word, waiting for Leon to continue or explain why he was here. "Sorry, I uh, I didn't mean to scare you." apologized Leon with a half smile. "I was told you're supposed to... ah, show me the ropes. I'm new. I-- I'm Leon." he seemed to stumble over his words as he looked deeper into the mans eyes. He bit down on the inside of his lip, letting out a small exhale from his nose.
The man parted his lips a little before giving a small nod. He didn't offer a handshake like the other man, instead he kept to himself. "Y/N." he replied, lifting one of his arms and swiping it against his forehead, wiping off any remaining sweat he could've had. "I... didn't know they hired a rookie for the stables. Forgive me." he muttered to himself, his accent almost silent but still slightly audible in his inflections. Leon tensed a bit when he heard the word "rookie." He felt like he was never going to be able to shake that nickname.
Leon took his hands out from his pockets and crossed his arms over his chest. To most this would feel intimidating, as Leon was a well built man, but Y/N could only see the nervousness hidden behind his eyes. Y/N had yet to make an expression that indicated his opening opinion on Leon. He looked down at the hay underneath the two before looking back to the horse. Y/N scratched behind the horses ear. "You know how 'ta take care of horses?" he asked, not giving Leon another glance into his eyes.
Leon widened his mouth a little bit, tilting his head to the side. "Not at all." he replied, giving a small awkward chuckle.
Y/N perked up his brows in an unamused manner. "D'ya know how to ride one?" he asked again.
Leon shook his head again. "Always wanted to learn."
Y/N let out a soft sigh before looking back over to Leon. He rested one arm behind his head and scratched his neck, just where the base of his hair was. He didn't seem particularly happy that he would have to show this random man the absolute basics, but he could suck it up. He's done it before, he can do it again. Tilting himself onto his heels he gave a small nod, reaching out to the horse in front of him and giving it a small stroke against its nose.
"Guess now is best time as any." spoke Y/N, letting one arm rest by his side as the other went for the hinge to the stable door, unlocking it and bringing it open. The horse was hefty, large, and brown with white spots littering its body. It had a few feet over the two men. Y/N's hand brushed up against its mane, a silky black color giving a small shine from the leaking sunlight from the ceiling. "This is Spencer." spoke Y/N. "He's tame. Doesn't like to kick 'r nothin', but he runs pretty fast." he explained, clicking his tongue once before the horse obediently stepped out of the stable. It stood by Y/N's side. Y/N seemed to be fond of the animal.
Leon gave a small hum when he looked to the horse. It was the first time, at least that he could remember, that he had been this close to one. He could feel its breath lightly hit against his face. "Spencer." Leon repeated, just to get it committed to his memory.
"Thing about Spencer, he gets his hair tangled easily." Y/N spoke. He was inflecting his voice in a way that sounded like he wanted to seem more confident in talking than he was. "So you gotta get real good with brushing. Its real easy. Like brushin' a dog." he spoke, stepping past the horse and stepping into its stable, grabbing onto two brushes that were hooked against the wooden wall. "Ever had a dog before, Leon?" asked Y/N. His voice had a bit of a tremble to it. He seemed to be getting a little nervous the more he was around the blonde.
Leon raised a brow at the question, watching as Y/N handed him a brush. He took it while giving a small nod as thanks. "I think so. I was probably too young to remember." replied Leon with a small shrug, stepping a bit closer to the horse. He brought his brush up to the side of the horses coat, carefully brushing downwards. Y/N paused for a second, his lips parting as I stepped next to Leon.
He grabbed onto Leon's hand, his skin cool against Leon's rather hot body. Leon felt his jaw tense slightly, feeling his stomach turn again. He looked to the man with curious eyes. Y/N's lips had formed a slight pout as he gave a small shake of the head. "To the side, not down." he spoke, correcting Leon's movements. His voice wasn't commanding, but rather understanding. He could feel Y/N's fingers slightly twitch against his own as he guided the movement of the brush to the left on the horses body. It was a more clean pattern, making it more appealing to look at. "Sorry," Leon replied, giving a small chuckle.
Y/N continued to absentmindedly brush along with Leon before he realized that the two were still touching. His eyes widened a bit before he pulled his hand away. He felt his cheeks get a little hot as he cleared his throat. "Keep, uh, keep at it. I just gotta... feed the rest of 'em." spoke Y/N, taking in a small breath before backing away from Leon and the horse. Leon pursed his lips a little bit, giving a small head tilt of acknowledgement as he continued the motions. As Y/N walked away, Leon kept an eye on him.
Y/N walked to the side of the stable, picking up a white bag filled with grains and bran. It looked heavy, heavy enough to make Y/N have to lean on one foot more than the other. He lifted the bag with a soft grunt before throwing it over his shoulder, starting his rounds around each horses food tin. One by one he poured the food in, his face remaining expressionless as this task was pretty mundane to him.
Leon watched carefully from the corner of his eye. He started to drift around the horse, carefully brushing the coat. He felt kind of relaxed when he did this. He could still feel the horses breath on him. It's ear twitched.
About a half an hour had passed by when Y/N had finished refilling each food container. He made sure to clean the tins beforehand as well, wanting to make sure that there was no chance of the horses getting sick. He had broken into a light sweat as he walked back across the clumps of hay littered across the floor, setting the bag back down in its respective spot. Y/N looked back over his shoulder, seeing Leon still gently brushing the horses coat with his eye halfway following Y/N.
Y/N walked back over to Leon and the horse, wiping his forehead once again. "Looks pretty." he spoke, giving a small nod to Leon as his gaze focused on the horses hair. He reached his hand out to Leon, swallowing slightly as he gestured for the brush to be returned. Leon followed the order well and handed the brush back to him. "Thanks." he replied, giving a small smile from the corner of his mouth.
Y/N brought the brush back to where it was hooked in the horses quarters, making sure it was neatly lined up with the wall. He let out a soft breath as he glanced back to Leon. His blonde hair was halfway darker against the shadow in the stable. There was a slight shadow cast across his face. Y/N felt his stomach turn slightly. He didn't know what it was. He chose to ignore it. But he knew better than anyone that he couldn't ignore his emotions well.
Y/N rested his hands on his hips as he gave the horse a small pet. "Y'wanna learn how to ride 'em?" he asked, looking back at Leon with somewhat hopeful, yet tired eyes. Leon's eyes widened a little bit at the request, but he felt his smile grow bigger. One of his childhood dreams was finally coming to fruition. He gave an eager nod, his grin growing wider against his pink lips. "I'd love to, yeah." Leon agreed, watching as the other man’s lips formed their own smile. It was odd, the way Leon felt when he saw it. He felt his cheeks start to burn. He let out another soft breath. Leon's hands rested at his sides.
Y/N looked back to the horse, scratching the side of his face a little bit before he put his hand up against the horse's mane. He seemed to have a fascination with the horses hair. All of the horses in the stable were groomed well, Y/N made sure of it. He was basically the only person that was allowed in the stables, by his own request. But an exception would be made for Leon, since he would be taught by the only one that Y/N trusted. Himself. "You ready, big guy?" Y/N spoke to the horse, a relaxed expression spread across his face as he pulled his hand back away, starting to walk towards the exit of the stable. He clicked his tongue twice, and the horse started to follow behind him. Leon followed as well.
Outside was a large field. Some horses that were outside of their stable were grazing, some chewing on the grass and others trotting around the field. It was a pleasant sight. The sun was halfway covered by the clouds by now, but it's heat didn't die down much at all. It was still bright as ever and made anyone sweat easily.
Leon winced once again when he was met with the bright light of the sun. "Damn it," he muttered, squinting his eyes the best as he could as he looked back forward, following behind. Y/N heard the small hiss and looked back over his shoulder. "Too bright?" he asked, raising a brow. Leon scrunched his face up and gave a nod, his hand going over his eyes once again. Y/N stopped walking for a second, biting down on his lower lip. He grabbed the brim of his hat and pulled it off of his head, handing the piece to Leon.
Leon watched, his eyes opening back up again. He wasn't expecting that kind of gesture from someone who acted the way Y/N did, but he appreciated it nonetheless. "Thanks," he told him, his voice quieter than normal but still showing the warmth he felt. He put the hat on, covering some of the blonde strands and pushing them up against his forehead. Y/N continued walking, but he had his head tilted to the side, able to see Leon's face.
"I have a question." spoke Y/N, scratching the side of his face as he continued to lead Leon and the horse through the field, his focus set on heading to the track they had paved in the dirt father out so the horses could get some good exercise. "You're not from here, I take it." he started, giving Leon a quick once over. Leon gave a nod. "Can I take a guess where you're from? Somewhere in the Midwest, right?" he guessed, his brow raising.
Leon nodded. "Spot on."
Y/N gave a small celebratory cheer to himself, doing a small fist pump in the air. "Figured. You got the whole accent 'n stuff. And the politeness. That's a thing, right? Midwesterners are polite." Y/N was repeating the words to himself, a common habit he had when speaking to people that he often got teased about. He wasn't thinking about controlling the way he spoke right now though. It seemed like Leon didn't mind. Even if he did, at the very least he wasn't commenting on it.
Leon smiled softly as he started to catch up to Y/N's walking speed, the two approaching the track now side by side. "Most of them are, yeah." he spoke, looking to his right to get another glance at Y/N's face. Underneath the sun, his skin seemed to have a sort of shimmer to it that he wasn't able to see before. His eyes were halfway closed, like he had developed an immunity to the suns brightness but still couldn't stand to look at it fully.
"Can't help but be curious what made 'ya come all the way down here. Hell, if I had a dime for every time I wished I could go up north, I wouldn't be workin' at this damn ranch anymore." Y/N muttered to himself with a small laugh following after. Leon let out a small chuckle, his hands remaining in his pockets as they walked.
The two had finally found their way onto the path, the horse letting out a small huff against the back of Y/N's neck. It seemed happy. Settling itself on the dirt, it trotted in it's place, seeming to be excited that it could go for a run. Y/N gave it a small pat on its back before looking back over to Leon. "Saddle broke a few days ago, apologies if it's a bumpy ride." Y/N spoke, before setting both of his hands onto the horses back and jumping upwards, throwing his leg over the side, his hips resting on top of the steed. Leon watched with a careful eye, watching as the man leaped up onto the horse. He could do that no problem. He had done stupid exercises like those plenty of times when he was in the police academy.
He paused for a short second, seeing as Y/N was looking down at him expectantly. "Oh, are you -- you want-- uh," he stumbled over his words a bit before giving a simple shake of the head. "Alright," he muttered, pursing his lips a little. Y/N offered his hand out to Leon for him to grab, just to give a little extra support. Leon followed the movements that Y/N had made seconds before, jumping up with a small grunt before his own legs were on either side of the horse. He smiled at himself, happy that he could do it on the first time. He was finally doing it. He was living out one of his childhood fantasies.
The horse stayed still underneath them. Y/N looked back over his shoulder, locking eyes with Leon's baby blue. "Hey, nice job." he told him with a satisfied grin spreading across his face. Y/N was a bit worried that this would end up being more effort than it was worth, but it seemed like this would be a cakewalk. It gave him a bit of relief. The smile was back. Leon felt his cheeks heat a bit again, but it was hard to tell if it was from Y/N or the hot sun.
Y/N looked Leon up and down before rolling his hips to get into a more comfortable position. "You should, ah, probably grab on. " he spoke, giving a small nod to his torso. Leon's brows raised at the suggestion, his cheeks beginning to show the heat that was on his face, a light tint of pink starting to spread. His stomach turned again. Something was going on in his brain that he didn't quite understand. He let out a small hum before tentatively reaching his hands around Y/N's waist. The man's body was firm, but it was easy to grab onto. At least that's what it felt like to Leon.
The proximity made them both feel a bit warmer, as to what they were reacting to, they had no idea. But they both knew they felt it.
"Spencer, he uh, he's trained a little differently then most horses." started Y/N, looking ahead of him at the back of the horses head. The feeling of Leon's hands around his waist was lingering on his mind. He could feel the touch through the fabric of the shirt. Leon could feel Y/N's halfway-cold, halfway-warm skin through it. It made it hard for either of them to pay attention. "I don't like usin' bits on 'em. I uh, I just give them little cues." explained the man, his hand lifting from the horse and spinning in a small circle. "Give him a little squeeze, he starts running." he started, before tensing the muscles in his legs a bit, squeezing around the body of the horse.
It took the instruction well, and started a steady trot. Leon flinched slightly at the sudden movement, even if he knew it was coming, and tightened the grasp he had around Y/N's waist. "Stop squeezing, he stops movin'. See?" Y/N then stopped tensing his legs, letting them relax, and in turn the horse stopped in it's track. Leon raised his brows, a bit impressed by how well the horse knew the order. "Got it." Leon nodded, a smile spread across his face. "How fast can he go?" he questioned, his head leaning a bit closer to Y/N's ear, his chin almost resting against the mans shoulder. He just wanted a closer look at the horses mane, at least that's what he was telling himself.
Y/N could feel Leon's breath against the side of his neck. He let out a breathy chuckle at the challenge, his head tilting to the right ever so slightly, placing his cheek close to Leon's lips. "Enough to consider it a thrill ride." he replied with a slightly cocky tone. Leon let out another slight laugh at his words. "Wanna show me?"
Y/N perked a brow up at the proposal, looking ahead. The sun was less blaring now, as he could see the track in front of them. The horses feet clacked against the ground excitedly, it's tail swishing back and forth. "Hold on tight, then." he replied, in almost an instant feeling the grasp around his waist grow tighter, his back being pressed up against Leon's front. Leon's body was built, defined, and that translated to it feeling like a brick wall when pressed against it. Y/N's heart was starting to beat faster as he let out a breathy giggle, raising one hand up to wipe his forehead before letting both his arms have a firm hold on the horse.
He tensed his legs again. Much, much tighter this time.
The horse burst into a high speed jog, eliciting a small yelp from Leon. The sound of hooves hitting against the dirt floor and the light laughter from the man in front of him was all he could hear at the moment. The wind felt nice against his face. Y/N was right, it was feeling like a bumpy ride. But he didn't care. He was riding a horse. For the first time in his life he got to live out something that he had dreamed of for longer than he could remember. He had a wide grin spreading across his face.
Around and around the track, Leon was starting to feel less hot on the outside, and more hot on the inside. Not hot, but warm. He felt warm. His body pressed against the man in front of him, he felt good. It was a feeling he hadn't felt in a long while. The feeling lasted, it lingered. He didn't try to shake it.
It seemed that the two had rode on the horse together for a long while, before Y/N seemed to notice something on the horizon. His legs softened the grip that they had on the horse, slowly going lighter and lighter until the horse came to a full stop, right where the track had started. Y/N's eyes were trained on the sky, seeing a dark, heavy cloud begin to fall over the edge of the sun. "Ah, shit." hissed Y/N under his breath tilting himself back a little.
Leon paused for a moment as he felt himself slowly start to come down from the high. "What?" he asked softly. "Did something happen?" he asked. He still kept his grip around Y/N's waist fairly tight. He didn't want to let go. It felt comfortable.
Y/N let out a soft exhale from his nose before lifting one of his hands, pointing a finger to the sky. "Bad cloud. Big storm's comin' tonight." he spoke with a small sigh. He looked back down at the horse before turning back to Leon. "I'd say you should head home. Doubt you'd wanna get stuck in the mud with all those other cars." he advised. Leon could feel his heart sink at the mention of a storm.
Ever since that day in Raccoon City, Leon hadn't been able to handle storms, especially not driving in them. He tensed up a little bit before letting his grip fall from the other mans waist, clearing his throat nervously. "Damn it." he huffed under his breath. Y/N looked back at him with a sympathetic but analytical gaze. He parted his lips, about to say something, but remained quiet. He could tell by the look in Leon's eyes and his body language that it was a sore subject. He pursed his lips before giving the horse a small pat, throwing his legs over the side and slipping himself back down to the ground.
His boots hit against the dirt like a cat jumping from the counter. He looked back to Leon. Y/N held his hand out for Leon to take once more, just giving him a little help getting down. Leon took it with gratitude and tossed his own legs over the side, jumping down from the horses back. Y/N gave the horse a small pet on the nose before clicking his tongue. The horse began to follow behind the two men as they started walking back to the stables.
It was silent for a short minute, Y/N wiping some dirt away from his pants before looking back to Leon. "Take it you don't like storms?" started Y/N, tilting his head so he could get a glimpse at the reaction that Leon would have. Leon took the hat that Y/N had loaned to him off of his head, handing it back to the man. "It's a long story." he muttered, brushing a hand through his hair. It had gotten a little tangled under the hat, and he spent a few seconds fixing it to get each strand back into place.
"I get it." replied Y/N, in his best attempt to hold a compassionate voice. "I'm not the fondest of storms myself. Neither are the horses." he spoke, his eyes going to the ground as he shoved both of his hands into his pockets, letting his thumbs hang out. They brushed up against his belt buckle, sending a shiver down his spine. The soft clunking of hooves remained audible as they walked.
Leon was glad that Y/N wasn't pushing him to elaborate. Instead, he just listened. He liked that in people. He liked that in Y/N. He hadn't even known the guy for that long, but he was starting to grow quite fond of the kid. Little did he know that Y/N felt the same way about him. "You know, I live here on the ranch." spoke Y/N, taking in a small breath. He seemed a bit anxious to say what he had planned. "You could crash with me if you wanted. Not to be too forward, I just... y'know, wanted to show a bit of hospitality." he added, looking back to Leon with more of a nervous gaze this time.
Leon paused for a moment, his brows furrowing, his eyes narrowing in tandem as he processed the offer. After that, he could feel that same heat spread across his cheeks. He hadn't been in Texas for more than three weeks and he was already spending the night with someone. "You'd be okay with that?" questioned Leon, a bit of his dirty blonde hair falling over the right side of his face, covering a portion of his eye. The two had arrived at the stables, and they opened the entrance door again. The horse followed behind Y/N closely.
The smell of manure hit Leon again, but it didn't seem to phase Y/N. Leon's nose scrunched again. "Of course I am. Wouldn't be offering if I wasn't." replied the man, giving him a small smile before making a left turn to the horses stable, the door being left open. He clicked his tongue twice, the horse following the command and walking into its stable with a happy trot. It seemed to really like Y/N. He closed the stable door before reaching into one of the bags he had attached to his belt, handing him another carrot as a treat. Leon stared at Y/N with a somewhat stunned expression before giving an eager nod.
"Oh, then, yeah. That would be... really appreciated, actually." Leon told him, his smile returning on his face along with the slightest shade of pink he held earlier. Y/N gave the horse one final pat on the head before turning back over to Leon. "Sounds good." he spoke, giving a small nod before locking up the stable door. He then started to walk again, gesturing to Leon with his hand to have him follow.
Leon followed close after, soon enough walking side by side with the man he had met only a few hours prior. He could see the darkness start to seep into the stables as they exited it, the dark clouds covering the sun. When the two got back out, Y/N led them the opposite way of the shack that Leon had first entered, instead they were heading towards another small wooden building, about half a mile away. There wasn't as much of a path paved leading to this building, only small footprints.
It was a small silence, but it spoke volumes for the amount of time the two weren't talking. Leon couldn't stand it for that long. "How'd you end up getting a place here?" he asked, a bit curious on how this all came together. Y/N gave him a quick glance before looking back down to his feet to watch where they were going. "Dad's friends with the owner. Used to work on my daddy's farm before he decided to hand over all the work to some other hotshot." he muttered, swiping his hand underneath his nose. "So it's not technically nepotism. Just prior knowledge." he let out a small joke at the end of it, trying to get another smile, a huff, or just another laugh from Leon. He liked Leon a lot. Leon was the first guy on the ranch he talked to that didn't treat him like dirt.
And laugh Leon did. He had a smile spread across his face as he let out a soft chuckle, before folding both his arms over his chest. His boots crunched against the dead grass below them. He liked the sound. "Ah, nice." Leon replied with a small nod. Y/N felt his face heat ever so slightly when he heard the warmth in Leon's tone.
The two continued to walking after the light conversation, and Leon watched as the clouds seemed to darken the sky minute by minute. He could feel his mouth dry up slightly at the sight of it, but he would ignore it. He had a place to stay with this guy who had shown him nothing but kindness and a good time. He would be fine.
Soon enough, the duo had arrived at the cabin. It was made of wood, much like all the other structures on this ranch, but it seemed decently decorated. Y/N opened the door for the both of them as they stepped into the home. Leon looked around, seeing a few posters and various kitchen supplies. It was small, but it was comfortable. There was a black and white couch perched in the middle of the main room, facing a blocky TV with a cassette player and a DVD player right underneath it. On a shelf beside the TV was rows and rows of various movies, seasons of shows, anything you could imagine. It was how Y/N liked to spend a lot of his free time, either reading or watching TV. He liked his media, and he liked to be entertained. "Pretty cozy in here," Leon spoke, his head tilting a bit as he examined the small details.
Y/N gave a small nod at his words. "Thanks." he replied, cracking both of his knuckles as he started to wander through the space. "You uh, sorry, I'm not used to having anyone here. You want anything to drink or something?" he asked, stumbling over his words a bit. He felt a bit in over his head, but it would be okay. He just had to go with the flow. Leon looked back over his shoulder. "A water would be good. Thank you." he replied, giving a small smile to Y/N. Y/N gave the same smile back.
"Couch is all yours if you want it. Doubt you wanna sleep in the same bed as me." he laughed softly, walking over to the kitchen area with a bit of a bounce in his step. He grabbed onto a glass of water and put it under the faucet, filling it up with tap water. Leon let out a small chuckle at the mans words before he sat himself down on the couch. It was nice, comfortable against his back and had a bit of fluff to the cushions. He could fall asleep on it easily.
Y/N walked back over to the center of the room and handed him the glass of water. Leon looked back over to the shelf with all of the DVD's on them, a slightly curious expression on his face as he took the water. "What kind of movies do you watch?" he asked, taking a light sip of the tap water. Y/N followed his gaze, scratching the back of his neck before clearing his throat a little. "Mainly horror. Got some action movies though, too." he replied, looking back to Leon. Leon's brow raised a bit at the mention of horror. "I didn't peg you for a horror guy," he spoke, running a hand through his hair in any attempt to get it to stay out of his face.
Y/N let out a small exhale from his nose, his smile perked on the left side of his mouth. "That's what banning your son from watchin' 'devil worship' does. Gives 'em morbid curiosity." he spoke, walking over to the shelf as he trailed his fingers along the lines of cases. He had them all categorized by genre, then in alphabetical order. Gave him less trouble when looking for something to watch.
"I get that. I never got to watch horror either." Leon replied, wearing the same half smile that the other man did. He watched Y/N's back carefully, watching it shift under the white tank top he was wearing, along with his arms ever so slightly lifting it up, showing the smallest sliver of skin. Y/N looked back over his shoulder. "Y'got strict parents too?" he asked, picking out a movie from the shelf and holding it in his right hand. Leon let out a small sigh at the words, taking another sip of his drink.
"I lived in an orphanage. They had uh, pretty strict regulations." Leon told Y/N, shifting his weight on his hips slightly as he folded one leg over the other. The smile on Y/N's lips dropped, his eyes widening a bit. He felt sorry for bringing it up. "Sorry to hear that," he replied, pursing his lips a little bit before stepping back to the couch, sitting himself down next to Leon. Leon gave a small shrug, not seeming to mind it all that much anymore. He's gotten that plenty. Their arms were only a few inches apart, Y/N's knee barely grazing against Leon's. The clouds outside had grown darker and darker. The rain had started. Leon shuddered.
Y/N cleared his throat again, holding out the DVD casing in front of the two of them. "Ever seen this one?" he asked. On the front of the case was in bold letters, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". Leon's eyes studied the case for a short second. "I've seen posters of it, never watched it though." he answered, looking back over to Y/N with a curious gaze. Y/N parted his lips slightly, giving a small glance to the window that was starting to be pelted by the rain.
"It's a great movie, I'm tellin' ya." Y/N smiled back at Leon. "For a movie that came out in '74, it's a lot better than you'd think." he spoke, continuing to hold the case out in front of the two. Leon's eyes widened a little bit. "Shit, that's older than me." replied Leon, his brows lifted as he continued to look at the cover. Y/N gave a nod. "Me too."
"If you wanna, we could watch it. Sure it would take your mind off the... y'know." he spoke, giving a nod to the growing intensity of the rain. The wind outside seemed to be tossing the leaves of trees around, bending them at the roots. Leon took a glance outside but quickly diverted his gaze, returning back to Y/N's face. His eyes were kind, almost gentle. It seemed like he just wanted Leon to feel comfortable. It was sweet. He looked back down at the casing. He didn't know how he would react when he was watching this, but as long as it didn't have anything to do with zombies, he would be fine. "Sure." Leon replied.
The thunder then started. Leon flinched at the sound, his jaw tensing a little bit when he looked out the window. His hands had a bit of tremble to them. Y/N could see it, but he didn't know what to say about it. He didn't say anything about it. He didn't want to show pity, he wanted to show care. This charming man didn't deserve pity. Y/N could see his nerves start to flare. "I'll, uh, I'll get you a blanket." Y/N spoke, scratching the side of his face before he stood back up. He set the DVD onto the table before walking off to the room adjacent, his own room. Leon's eyes followed him as he walked off.
When he came back from the room, he held a white and red blanket with fringes on the end over his arm, like a waiter would hold a towel. Y/N handed the blanket to the blonde with a small nod, before grabbing onto the casing for the DVD again. He walked up over to his TV, pressing the power button. When it turned on, the familiar sound of static filled the room. He hit his hand up against the side of it twice before the screen switched to a menu. Y/N let out a small sigh before he couched down in front of the DVD player, opening the case and inserting the disc into the player. It skipped past the menu screen and just started to play the movie. Y/N stepped out of the way of the TV and looked back to Leon.
The two didn't say much else as the movie started. Leon sat with a blanket draped over his lap, and Y/N placed himself next to him. Leon's eyes focused on the TV, but he could feel the man next to him, the air coming off of him. Y/N folded one leg over the other. His body was starting to get cold.
When it came to storms in this sector of Texas, it seemed like the hot and sweaty weather flipped on it's back the second rain comes around. It got cold, the worst kind of cold. It was something that Y/N had always hated, since he always wore light clothing. Tonight was no different.
Minutes started to pass, adding and adding until they were about halfway through the movie. Leon was enjoying the movie more than he thought. He expected most horror things to be cheesy, or at least that's what he heard about them. But he ended up pretty invested in the story. But he could see from the corner of his eye he could see the man beside him rubbing his hands against his arms. The hair on his arms was slightly raised, his jaw tensed a little. "Hey, uh, you cold?" asked Leon, a strand of his blonde hair falling over one of his eyes.
Y/N's eyes flickered from the TV back to Leon, his lips parting ever so slightly. He let out a soft chuckle, trailing his tongue over his teeth. "Yeah, a little." he replied, giving a small half smile before looking back down into his lap. Leon trailed his eyes over the man, picking up the blanket from his legs. "You can have the blanket if you want," he offered, holding a kind tone in his voice.
Y/N looked back at him, giving a small shake of his head. "Oh, no, it's alright." he replied, his hand lifting from his arm and gave Leon a small wave. Leon narrowed his eyes, looking back down to the blanket he held. "Seriously, I doubt I need it as much as you." he replied, a halfway amused smile spread across his face as he held out the blanket. "Or we could share. I'm sure we could both fit." he offered, one brow raising. Y/N felt his cheeks warm at the offer.
"Oh, ah," Y/N swiped his finger underneath his nose before letting out a soft breath. "Alright."
Leon watched as Y/N grabbed the blanket from his lap, before scooting closer. They were arm to arm now, just close enough but not too close. Y/N lifted the blanket up around, wrapping the fabric around the both of their bodies. Y/N's arms were cool against Leon's. They could both feel the turn in their stomach. Leon's cheeks felt that same warmth. He swallowed a bit, deciding to not speak about it and just looking back to the movie.
The close proximity was filling the both of their minds. Y/N had bit down on the inside of his cheek to mask any show of his breath being unsteady, and Leon was making it known that he wasn't going to move. He couldn't help but to continue to sneak glances back at Y/N. He didn't know what he was feeling, he definitely wasn't used to it. It made him a little nervous knowing that he didn't understand what was going on with him, but he couldn't lie. He didn't entirely hate how he felt. It was almost comforting. These nerves took his mind off the storm at least.
Y/N's body was starting to get warmer underneath the blanket, along with the close proximity of the man beside him. His face felt like it was on fire. He recognized the feeling though. He had felt it plenty of times when he saw the assistants around the farm he used to work at. They were only ever men. He knew that it wasn't normal.
The movie was faint, but it covered up the sound of the rain. The two weren't talking, but it seemed there was an unspoken understanding between the two. They could tell.
The time was passing faster than they expected. The moon was out now, and the thunder had died down and the rain was softer. But telling by the clouds, it would pick up later in the night. But Leon, after a long day of driving and working out every muscle in his arm, holding on for dear life, was pretty tired. He had started to get tired more often.
Y/N could feel something against his shoulder. He didn't think anything of it at first, but a few seconds later he started to feel warm breath against his neck, along with the faint feeling of hair touching his skin. He tilted his head to the side, looking over to Leon. He had dozed off. Y/N let out a small breath biting down on his lower lip as he felt his face glow with heat. He didn't want to wake him up. He was nervous to move. Leon's lips were slightly parted, his eyes resting closed with his cheek against Y/N's shoulder.
It was surprisingly comfortable. He and Leon were alone. Nobody was watching. Nobody to judge. Y/N flickered his eyes to the side of the couch, before looking back to Leon. He gave Leon the smallest nudge to his body, but Leon didn't stir. He was definitely asleep. Y/N trailed his tongue over his teeth before he slowly and carefully readjusted his position on the couch, turning on his back and laying himself down, Leon shifting along with him. Y/N rested his head on the armrest of the couch, his eyes carefully trained on Leon's face to see any shift in expression. He didn't stir.
Leon's head slipped from Y/N's shoulder, now resting against his chest, his breath against the mans collarbone. Y/N's body felt really warm. Leon's body was warming him. Leon's blonde hair fell against his eyes, covering a portion of his face. He let out a small mumble against Y/N's shirt, but he didn't wake. Instead, he shifted one of his arms and wrapped it around Y/N's waist. Y/N could feel his heart start to race. They were so close. But it felt like it should be like this -- it didn't feel wrong, like it did when he was close to other people. This was comfortable. This was nice.
The warmth in his body was almost comforting to Y/N. It gave him this sort of peace. Hesitantly, he decided to rest an arm around Leon. It was nothing big, if anything he could just say it was an adjustment. His hand rested on Leon's back, feeling up against the fabric of his button up. He felt nervous, but giddy. But the feeling was starting to fade away once it had been a few minutes when he himself started to feel more tired. He had been working since 7 A.M. And besides, what else could he do in this situation instead of go to bed?
He let his eyes close, his head tilted back against the armchair of the couch and relaxing with the feeling of another man against him, and the feeling of the warm blanket around him. It wasn't even 2 minutes before Y/N was clocked out. But Leon wasn't asleep. He was tired, sure, but he was conscious. He was good at faking sleep -- he did it plenty when he was a kid.
The only reason he did it tonight was out of pure, unadulterated curiosity. And it turned out better than he thought it would.

Carlos Oliveira x M! Reader
“So, uh, you met the new guy?”
Carlos leaned up against the Umbrella Corps laboratory level doors, arms folded over his chest. The man standing next to him was trying to strike up a conversation he had no interest in, but the words ‘new guy’ seemed to have caught his attention. His black curls fell over his face as he glanced back over to the other guard. “What new guy?” he asked, one leg buckling as he shifted his weight.
The other man’s eyes seemed to grow wider once he finally got a response out of Carlos. He cleared his throat. “You know, uh, that kid. Like 22 or something, came in this morning.” explained the guard. Carlos narrowed his eyes. Way to be unspecific.
Carlos looked back ahead of him, the florescent lights beaming down on the white tile below him. One of his boots laces were untied. He didn’t bother to fix it. “Huh.” Carlos replied with a huff, his finger tapping against his right arm. His job was boring. He sculpted his body to be one like the gods, and all he gets to do is stand around all day and watch nerds with lab coats walk into doors.
The other guard seemed nervous. He gave a small lighthearted chuckle. “Apparently he’s got an in with Birkin or something. Dunno what. My guess is he’s a fuckin’ nepo baby or somethin’.” muttered the guard. Carlos let out a breath out of his nose, trying to imitate a laugh. He was uninterested. He was more interested in seeing who this guy was. No description, no background, he had to see what he was like.
Carlos stretched his arms up above his head, hearing a small crack. It felt nice. His body felt stiff constantly at his job. The other guard looked to Carlos, watching his expression carefully. He decided to stop talking, for the sake of Carlos’ boredom and his own dignity.
What felt like hours passed by with no word coming from the two of them. The sun for higher and higher, causing a beam of light to reach through the windows. Carlos focused on that to give him any semblance of entertainment, watching it slowly shift by each minute.
Then there was a click of a door opening down the hall, followed by boot footsteps. Carlos knew that it wasn’t one of the lab rats. It was another guard. He squinted, waiting for the footsteps to come around the corner. They had a certain lightness to them that was odd to see when it came to his coworkers. His eyes widened once the guard reached around the wall.
He wasn’t remarkable by any means, but there was something about him that Carlos seemed utterly fascinated by. His jaw seemed tensed as his eyes flickered between the two guards at the door. He flipped a pen between his fingers, looping it over and over again before giving the guard next to Carlos a nod. The guard walked off. The new guy had broad shoulders, deep, almost sunken eyes that could pry into somebodies mind with ease. His shirt seemed to hug his body in the perfect way, giving him more than enough room to show off. His lips formed a small pout naturally. His hair framed his face. He was perfect.
Carlos swallowed as he watched the man replace the guard. He cleared his throat absentmindedly, giving the new guy another once over before speaking. “Hey.” Carlos spoke, his voice cracking slightly at the beginning but holding the baritone that he often spoke in. “You’re the uh, new kid, right? I’m Carlos.” He introduced himself, not bothering to hold out his hand for the other to shake. He didn’t seem like he was very keen on touching.
The man glanced over at Carlos, his eyes flickering along every bit of Carlos’ features, analyzing them. It made Carlos feel naked — like he was being stripped down to his bare soul. The man adjusted his jaw, making a small clicking sound come from the bone. The man never locked eyes with Carlos. “Y/N.” replied the guard, stuffing one hand into his pocket while the other rested by his hip. His voice was low, gravelly almost. It was clear he was a man of solitude. Carlos’ lips parted slightly, giving a slight nod.
Carlos’ eyes seemed to be stuck on Y/N. There was just something about him that was so alluring. Carlos had been struggling recently with himself. The way he felt whenever he saw a man that fit his type made his stomach turn. He knew what it meant, but he didn’t want to admit it to himself. Not yet. But something about Y/N just made him want to drop everything and run away with the guy.
Y/N nibbled on his lower lip absentmindedly, brining Carlos to notice how scarred they already were. It was clear it was a habit. Y/N brought his hand up and scratched the side of his face, a small patch of unshaved stubble at the area. Carlos noticed however, on the back of his hand, there was a tattoo. He widened his mouth, trying to prepare himself to ask the question.
“What’s with the tattoo?” asked Carlos. He recognized how it sounded. “I- Like, what does it mean?” he corrected himself, staring at the tattoo with curious eyes. The tattoo was of the male gender symbol intertwined with another. Y/N paused for a moment, following Carlos’ gaze. He pulled his hand away from his face, looking at the tattoo.
Y/N never really liked explaining this one. It was the 90’s, and it’s not exactly the safest one that you could have out in the open. But Y/N was strong, and he intimidated most. He wasn’t in any physical danger if he explained it. He cleared his throat, shifting on his feet awkwardly. “Means I play for the same team chicks do.” he muttered, his voice softer than it was previously, like he didn’t want anyone to hear it. He crammed his hand back into his pocket.
Carlos furrowed his brows. He didn’t know what that could mean, taking more than a few seconds to process it. Then it clicked. He was gay. Carlos’ eyes widened a bit, his lips parting wider as he let out a somewhat shaky gasp/sigh. “Ah
 I, uh, I gotcha.” replied Carlos, clearing his throat before looking back ahead. It was like these thoughts followed him everywhere he went. No matter how much he tried to push them away, they always came back to bite. His face felt hot, but luckily Y/N wouldn’t be able to see the reaction because of Carlos’ darker complexion.
It was quiet for a while. Neither of them spoke, the only sound made was light breaths and small sniffles of the nose. Carlos continued to let his mind wander, and that proved to only make his issue worse. It was less than an hour the two had been next to each other, and Carlos seemed to be crushing on this guy like a school girl.
It remained that way until Carlos’ shift was over.
To take his mind off of the newfound feelings he had, he wanted to get a drink. His newfound privilege as a 21 year old was proving to be helpful when he wanted to push back his feelings. He didn’t abuse it however, but he frequented a few bars around town when he didn’t have anything better to do.
He found himself at a bar that remained nameless. Most people called it ‘The Safe Room,’ but others just named it after the street it was on. He sat on a stool, the bartender across from him cleaning a glass. It was quiet in the building, only a few people here late on a Wednesday night. He was nursing a bottle of beer, his eyes focused on the TV that was playing a baseball game from a few years back. His eyes were halfway closed, feeling exhausted from his long shift and the thoughts that were burning a hole in his head.
The bell rang near the door. Someone had walked in.
Speak of the devil.
Y/N pushed the bar door open, the bartenders head perking up once the two made eye contact. They nodded at each other. Y/N seemed to be a regular at the bar. He had only been the legal age to drink for a year, yet somehow he already managed to make himself at home in many bars around Raccoon City.
Carlos looked over his shoulder as he heard the bell ring. Y/N walked in with the same demeanor he did when he walked into his first day of work. His outfit was different though. He wore a much baggier tank top, and jeans cinched around his waist with a brown belt. Around his neck he wore two dog tags. His hair was much scruffier than it was at work, but it worked on him well. Carlos’ eyes seemed to widen when he saw the change. His heart started to pound.
Y/N looked around the bar for a brief moment before locking eyes with Carlos. They seemed to share a similar gaze of surprise, Y/N’s scarred lips slightly parting as he furrowed his brows. He rolled his shoulders back before giving Carlos a nod. It seemed to be his go to greeting.
Carlos gave a meek smile in response, but seemed to bite down on the inside of his cheek when Y/N started to walk towards Carlos. The two didn’t meet eyes, Y/N’s footsteps echoing throughout the empty bar before he sat down on a stool beside Carlos. He looked to the bartender, who seemed to know exactly what he wanted before he ordered it. Y/N glanced back over to Carlos, trailing his tongue over his teeth.
Y/N folded his arms over the wooden bar top, leaning against his before looking back to Carlos. He observed again, looking at the difference Carlos wore outside of work. His hair looked the same, and he had the same look in his eyes. Y/N let out a soft breath before speaking up.
“I gotta say, I didn’t peg you for a gay guy.” he spoke, watching as the bartender slid him a glass of gin. He was quick to put the glass up to his lips, taking a small sip. Carlos’ eyes widened at the words, his lips parting slightly. How the hell did he find out?
Carlos looked back over to Y/N, feeling his cheeks begin to burn in embarrassment. “What?” he started, his grip around the bottle tightening slightly as he darted his eyes around Y/N’s face. “What gave you that idea?”
Y/N looked back at him. He gave a slightly amused, but confused laugh at Carlos’ question. “Brother, we’re at a gay bar.” he replied, taking another sip of his gin. “Did the fact that I’m here not give it away?” he chuckled softly, setting the glass back down onto the wood top. Carlos’ eyes widened further. “Seriously?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Y/N let out a small laugh once again. “Yeah, man.” he replied. Carlos looked around for a brief moment, his lips parted nervously before he ducked his head down in embarrassment. “God
” he muttered under his breath, his dark curls falling over his eyes briefly before he pushed the strands away. Y/N raised an amused brow at the shame that Carlos was showing.
“What, you too good for this place?” asked Y/N, a slight smile spreading across his scarred lips, folding one leg over the other. His expression was somewhat smug, waiting for the look on Carlos’ face to shift again. He was interested in Carlos for whatever reason, having seen the odd glances that Carlos’ kept giving him when they were at work. Carlos looked back at him, his eyes fluttering at the words before shaking his head. “No,” Carlos replied swiftly, feeling his heart hammering in his chest. “I just — Y’know, It— It- god,” He stuttered over his words, covering his face with his hand in any attempt to save his dignity. Y/N figured him out.
Trailing his tongue over his teeth, Y/N gave Carlos a little nudge with his hand. “Hey, you don’t gotta explain anything to me. I know that look.” he spoke, his smile growing wider. It felt odd to see such a stoic man with a grin across his face. He was clearly amused. “I’ll just tell ya, sooner than later you gotta face the music.” he told Carlos, leaning his head forward slightly so he could see Carlos more clearly.
Carlos felt exposed. Y/N had him figured out from just a simple sentence. Carlos let out a heavy breath, turning back over to Y/N with his brows furrowed. “I don’t know, man, it’s complicated.” He breathed. He was already a little tipsy, and he had a tendency to blurt out things he wouldn’t want anyone to know. “I don’t
 I dunno. I dunno.” I muttered.
Y/N raised a brow. “I think you know.” he replied. Carlos let out a sigh. He pushed his hair back with his hands. Y/N’s eyes looked over Carlos with a sympathetic gaze, his tongue clicking. Another small breath escaped Y/N’s lips as he glanced over Carlos. He found himself lingering on his arms, his body. Something about Carlos was alluring. He was quite handsome.
The two remained silent, a knowing silence. They both continued to take small sips of their drink, staring forward.
“You’re a good looking guy, Carlos.” Y/N blurted. Carlos’ eyes flickered a bit before looking back over to Y/N. He felt his face heat. “I mean it.”
Carlos let out a small breath, trying to push back his pounding heart and return to his normal charm. “Are you flirting with me?” he asked, raising a brow. Y/N looked back at him with a smile perking at the side of his mouth. “Maybe.” he replied, taking another sip of his gin. Carlos let out a small laugh, biting on on the inside of his lip. “Maybe, huh? Haven’t decided yet?” he replied, taking another small swig of his beer. They had a back and forth going now. Y/N liked that.
“Haven’t decided if I wanna break HR rules yet, more like.” he replied. Carlos let out another laugh through his nose, looking off to the side for a brief moment before his gaze landed back onto the man next to him. “Good answer.” he spoke.
Y/N started to bite on his lip again, his breath coming through his nose as there was another silence. Carlos’ gaze looked back to his lips. “You shouldn’t do that, y’know.” spoke Carlos, giving a small nod to the habit. Y/N’s lips were perfectly fitted to his face, perfectly round and colored. Y/N paused for a moment, his chewing on his skin stopping as he looked back to Carlos. He raised a brow.
“Why’s that?” asked Y/N, his thumb brought up to his face and swiping the area he was chewing. A small blotch of blood appeared on his finger.
Carlos nodded his head to the spot. “That’s why.” He replied.
Y/N let out a small sigh, wiping the bit of blood off on his shirt. A bit unsanitary, but he didn’t care anymore. He had done way worse things. Carlos watched curiously, a brow raised. “Lip’s bleeding.” he spoke, pointing to Y/N’s pouted lip with a sliver of red across it. Y/N let out a huff, looking back at Carlos. “No shit.” He replied.
Carlos looked back over Y/N’s face. The dim lighting of the bar hit his face in such an attractive way, lighting up each refined feature with a soft orange. Carlos felt a warmth in his chest, letting out a heavy yet soft breath. His hair fell over his forehead, shifting his head slightly. Y/N’s lips looked so inviting at the moment. His heart raced.
Y/N let out a soft breath, wiping his hand over his face before looking back over to Carlos. “I don’t like a lotta people, you know.” He spoke, eyes still refusing to make contact with Carlos’. “And I don’t know you well. And we work together.” he continued.
Carlos raised a brow. Where was he going with this?
“But,” he added. There it was.
“I think you’re interesting.”
Carlos was at odds with what that could mean. Given the context, he assumed that it was positive. The look in Y/N’s eyes showed a slight passion behind his words, even if the two weren’t making eye contact. “Interesting?” Carlos repeated, hoping that the man would elaborate.
Y/N let out a soft breath through his nose. “I think you’re
 Interesting. Yeah,” He uttered. “You’re an interesting case.”
Carlos was still left in the same curiosity as he was before.
“I think you’re interesting too.” Carlos replied, folding one arm over the other. “As interesting a security guard can be.” he nudged Y/N with a playful smile spread across his face. Y/N let out a light laugh, ducking his head down before taking another sip of his drink.
Y/N bit down on his tongue for a short moment. His hair shifted as he moved his head, his eyes flickering around Carlos’ face for a few seconds. “I’ll be honest,” He spoke softly, setting his glass back against the bar. “You caught my eye when I walked in today.” he sighed softly. Carlos let his eyes fall back to Y/N’s lips. He felt his stomach turn.
“Oh yeah?” asked Carlos, his lips curving up into a smile. “Am I that charming?” he asked, taking another sip of his beer. Y/N chuckled softly. “Yeah. Sure.” he replied, an amused tone in his voice.
Carlos smiled, biting down on his lower lip. His face felt hot. He could hear his heart pounding over the distant chatter of the bar. Y/N could see his expression. He thought it was cute. “I’m not very smooth,” spoke Y/N softy. “Forgive me if I’m a, y’know, not as evidently charming as you are.” he laughed softly, taking another sip of his gin.
Carlos smiled softly at his words. He scratched the side of his face, fingers against the stubble on his stubble. “It’s alright. I know it can be hard talking to a godsent angel like me.” he spoke confidently, looking at Y/N smugly. Y/N snickered at the comment, his grin growing wider. Carlos liked his smile. It looked good on him.
“You’re cute.” Y/N spoke softly, his teeth partly peeking out of his lips as he smiled. Carlos’ face brightened when he heard the words, looking back to Y/N with a cheeky grin. He felt like he was on top of the world. His worries about himself and how he felt seemed to be washing away in the presence of this man.
“Cute enough for you to break HR rules?” asked Carlos, leaning his arms up against the bar top. Y/N let out a soft breath, his hand wiping over his face for a brief moment as he gave Carlos another once-over. He clicked his tongue, shifting his body so that he was facing Carlos.
He set his glass back down. “Not sure yet,” spoke Y/N. “But you
 I dunno. You got my fancy.” he spoke, his eyes trailing down to Carlos’ lips. They seemed to have the same idea in mind. Y/N leaned forward a bit, pausing to glance into Carlos’ eyes. They were dilated, however hard it was to see considering the dim lighting, and the barely visible contrast from his deep brown eyes to his pupils.
Carlos felt his face heat. His lips parted slightly when he realized the small distance that was now between them. His breath went heavy, his heart pounding and his stomach turning. And before he knew it, his lips were pressed up against Y/N’s.
Carlos felt his body melt as soon as he could realize what was happening. Y/N’s hand went against Carlos’ shoulder, both their eyes closed and a sudden warmth forming between the two of them. It was slow, and gentle. Carlos let out a small sigh against Y/N’s lips, his body leaning against the other man’s out of instinct. His hand moved and rested on Y/N’s shoulder, holding the two of them together for a few moments before Y/N broke away. It was short but sweet. Carlos’ face held an invisible flush, his cheeks feeling like they were on fire.
Y/N’s voice was slightly breathy as he spoke again, liking his lips for a brief moment before looking back to Carlos. “If you uh, keep entertaining me while we’re standing around, I’ll break the rules. More rules.” he spoke, correcting himself at the end with a smile spread across his face.
Carlos’ eyes opened back up, swallowing at the words. His breath was heavy as a similar, but more excited smile spread across his face. “Okay,” he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper as he looked back at the man in front of him.

listens to Linkin Park for sure, fav song is probably no more sorrow or in the end (he likes the basic songs i’m telling u) also DEFINITELY listens to Three Days Grace, doesn’t have a fav song tho
he was obsessed with guitar hero for a little bit and he got really good at it when it came out but then stopped playing and now can’t even fc a song on easy mode
sleeps on his stomach with his face to the right side
if you like a movie he doesn’t like he will act like you’re a swine and bring it up all the time to make fun of you
doesn’t have a bed frame, sleeps on two mattresses stacked on top of each other

Resident Evil 4, but instead of saving the president's daughter, Leon has to save the president's son.
You could add that it isn’t the first time that Leon was sent to save reader because he just does not give a shit about the fact that as the president's son, he’s an obvious target for people who want to harm the country. And secretly he likes that Leon is always chasing after him. But this time is different, it’s more brutal and he actually realizes that he might not make it out alive. Leon saves him but the journey through the village is far from over and they have a lot more time together than the last few times.
Reader is clearly interested in Leon and doesn’t really keep it a secret much to Leon’s displease because a relationship or even the slightest rumor about them having a relationship or something else than a professional one could ruin his job and cause a whole scandal. Plus the president would never allow it, but now they’re in this village with no one who can control what they do and it takes a while before they get out of there. Reader is being held hostage in the village's church. But instead of waiting to be saved, he frees himself, grabs something that could function as a weapon, and tries to fight his way through. And he actually manages to take down a few people (could impress Leon) but soon gets captured again and taken back to the church. Then Leon comes in and saves him - they make a run for it and explore the village together. At some point reader gets pushed into the water with the big fish and after Leon helps him out they need to find a place to rest and to warm reader up.

It was cold, dark, and empty. Y/N had been through his fair share of captivity situations, but this was just plain cruel. He was locked in this barren room, a few guards muttering on the outside. As much as he loved playing damsel in distress, this was getting boring. Wasn’t much else to do then lie around and hope the next footsteps were going to be a knight in shining armor. He wanted to take it into his own hands.
Y/N wasn’t restrained whatsoever. He was free to walk around, to scream, whatever he liked. He got up off of the floor he was sitting on and began to wander. Looking around, Y/N could see some things that he could use to his advantage. There were very few things, but he did see a very dull axe hooked into a barrel in the far corner. He thought it was stupid of them to leave a weapon to his disposal, but he wasn’t complaining. He stood up and gripped his hands around the wooden handle. He had to give it a few tugs, but eventually it fell out. He grinned.
It was heavy, but he could handle it. He was a pretty strong man, despite the fact that it seems he can be lifted up and carried to whatever captor of the month. He held the axe in his grasp before looking around the room for more things that could be to his benefit.
A window. It was covered by wooden boards, but that’s nothing. He walked over to it, the floorboards under him creaking with each step. He lifted his axe up and plunged it into the panels. He swung over and over until they finally cracked. He had an escape.
He bent the boards to the sides so he could at least fit himself through, looking out over the horizon. He was at least two stories high up and there were shards of glass on the ground from the window he just broke. He could live with a sprained ankle, as long as he could get out of here. He took in a deep breath, backing up away from the window and prepping his stance.
“Y/N?!”
He heard a call. It was familiar. It came from outside the window, to which he was immediately going to check. Nobody here had called him by his name yet, so this was a surprise. He leaned back out the window, looking all around the paths and into the graveyard. Standing in a compression shirt and pounds of gear at his waist was his actual knight in shining armor.
Leon Kennedy. Oh, Leon. To say that Y/N had a crush on him was an understatement. He was absolutely head over heels for this guy. It was unfortunate that it would be taboo for them to be together. He thinks about that every single night. Leon was assigned to Y/N’s detail not too long ago, after it keeps coming out that Y/N is completely reckless and doesn’t have any regard for his status.
“Leon?” Y/N yelled back, leaning back through the window with a slight smile twinging on the side of his face. “Shit man, how’s it going?” he joked, Leon continuing to approach the church cautiously. He had wiped out most of the villagers that would hear him yelling at the top of his lungs, but he still needed to be careful of the people inside.
He let out a little huff through his nose, hand over his gun. “It’s going.” he replied. “Alright, uh,” He looked around again before holding out his arms. “Think you can make it down here?”
Y/N squinted. “Like jump?” he asked. He peered over the windowsill, taking another look at how high the fall would be. It seemed like it was a lot deeper than before. He took in a sharp breath and held it in his cheeks. “I don’t-“
A board creaked behind him. His entire body flipped itself around as he looked for the noise. In front of him were two men in cloaks, the same guys that put him here in the first place. He let out a loud yelp as they continued to walk closer. He wasn’t going to sit there this time.
He plunged his arm down and grabbed back onto his axe. He cranked his arm back, throwing it forward and sticking one of them in the chest. The man collapsed to the floor, and slowly bubbled up into this weird looking tar-substance. It made Y/N want to barf.
His axe laying on the floor again, just as he was about to get grabbed by one of the cloaked men, he dodged. The man tumbled over his feet a little bit, which gave him the chance to grab the weapon. He reached down and tracked around the man, watching as he began to find his balance again. Once he had found his footing, Y/N took his shot. He swung his axe by the side and left it halfway through the man’s neck. Blood splattered across his face, letting out a shocked choke. He watched the man collapse, falling back down to the floor. Y/N looked down, all he could see was the tar. He gagged, the smell being completely overtaking. He turned back to the window.
Leon was slightly worried, hearing the hacking noises, but was relieved to see Y/N still standing. “Catch me.” he called, sliding his legs over the windowsill. He wasn’t going to make a huge leap for it like Leon, he was going to slip down and pray to god that his legs won’t be broken by the time he reaches the ground. Leon let a small smile creep at the side of his mouth, leaning his arms out.
Y/N swallowed tightly, feeling his chest tighten. He always had a big fear of heights, but he trusted Leon. He pushed himself off the wood, feeling a sudden sinking feeling as he started to fall through the air. He let out a small yell, but soon enough found himself in Leon’s arms. It was comfy.
Leon let out a soft grunt while catching Y/N, his knees somewhat buckling before he set him down. Y/N dusted off his legs, making sure that his clothes were in order. He was a man of status, after all. “Thanks for saving me.” he uttered, looking back up to Leon with a meek smile. He felt a little bad that had to come all the way out into nowhere just to save him, and the fact that both of them could die at a given point. Leon shrugged it off.
“I don’t mind. It’s become a weekly thing, might as well enjoy it.” He joked, letting out a small huff from his nose as he looked around for a path they could make their getaway with. Y/N rolled his eyes playfully, stretching out his arms. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever.” he looked away.
Leon glanced back at Y/N. “It kinda seems like you’re trying to get caught just so I can save you.” He offered, intending it to be ironic, but he was pretty close to the truth. Y/N didn’t outwardly try to get kidnapped obviously, but he didn’t fight back as hard as he could, and he knows it. Leon began to step down a rocky path, Y/N following close behind him like a dog. He snickered. “What can I say, I like getting rescued by a handsome man with arms bigger than my head.” he replied. Leon looked back at Y/N with a slight sigh.
“Y/N..” He began, bringing his hand up to his face. He wasn’t exactly against the whole flirty thing that they have, but Leon has gotten a more than stern talking to from his boss, who is the president. He wasn’t gonna risk that again. Y/N shoved his hands into his pockets. “Sorry, sorry. I just, we’re in the middle of nowhere, y’know? I didn’t see the harm.” he answered, trying to apologize but also defend himself. Leon shook it off.
He brushed his hair out of his face. “It’s alright. But I still got this thing,” he pointed to the chip in his ear. “Listening in.” he explained. Y/N stepped up closer and stared at it. It was blinking red on and off. He squinted at it before turning back to Leon. “It looks dead.” he mumbled. Leon furrowed his brows. “What?” He asked, pulling out the black plastic chunk. He also noticed that light. He threw his head back, letting out a loud grunt. “God damn it.” he muttered. Y/N gave him a slight smile. “Seems like nobody can hear us now.” he nudged Leon.
Leon felt his heart falter a little bit, looking back to Y/N. He knew he couldn’t go against his orders. “Yeah, but I also can’t get any orders now.” he said, dismissing Y/N’s comment. Y/N let his shoulders relax, taking his hands out of his pockets. “Oh no, looks like you’re stuck with me forever.” he spat, his tone slightly snide as a smile spread back across his face. Leon rolled his eyes. “I’ll have to go across that lake, they might have something I could use to communicate there.” he uttered, talking to himself. Y/N furrowed his brows, one hand being placed on his upper arm. “What lake?” he asked.
The two turned a corner, in almost perfect timing. They had made their way out of the brush and were standing in front of a wide view of the body of water, the sun shining off of it almost blinding. “That one.” replied Leon. Y/N laughed softly. The dirt that they were walking on had slowly turned into wooden ply, creaking every time they took a step on it. Y/N was not a big fan of it.
He could feel his heart beat rise every single time his foot hit the floor. He had to swallow his pride for a little bit. “Can I hold onto you? This is freaking me out.” He blurted, looking to Leon with a nervous expression. Leon looked back at him with a brow perked up. He first thought that it was just a ploy so that Y/N could hold onto him, but he looked genuinely anxious. He would’ve said yes either way, though.
Leon offered his arm out, which Y/N was quick to cling to. They were close together now, close enough that they could feel each others body heat. Leon flickered his eyes back and forth between where he was walking and Y/N’s face, seeming to be occupied by both. Y/N kept his eyes at the ground, trying his best not to look over the edge of the boards, where you could see how steep a fall it was.
It was mainly silent as they found their way around the walkway, Y/N occasionally mumbling some comment about how close they were, Leon dismissing it but going insane over it internally. He didn’t mind the comments all that much, Y/N was a pretty good looking guy, and charming, but he wanted to keep his job, so he had to make some tough choices. He just had to ignore Y/N’s advances, no matter how badly he wanted to give in.
Once they had found their way back to land, they were stood in front of a dock with a boat. A lamp swung above it hanging on a pole, and the boat was big enough to fit the two of them, thank god. Y/N smiled, still holding onto Leon’s arm. “Wanna go for a swim?” he asked, his brows bouncing. Leon breathed from his nose, slithering his arm out of Y/N’s grasp.
“With the zombie fish? No thank you.” Leon replied, stepping towards the boat. It had a key in it already, which he was thankful for. He didn’t give it more than a second before he hopped in, looking at Y/N, waiting for him to follow suit.
He followed reluctantly. “There’s zombie fish?” asked Y/N, sitting down on the seat across from Leon. Leon shrugged, giving the keys a turn. “Who knows. I’m not planning on finding out.” he turned it again. With that, the engine roared, practically shaking the whole boat. Y/N let out a small yelp and grabbed onto the bench, watching Leon as he grabbed onto the steer.
The boat began to move, creating mesmerizing waves in its wake. Y/N stared at it. He loved oceans and lakes, he loved swimming and all that. It was too bad that he couldn’t go swimming now. He had noticed though, the waves were getting much bigger in an irregular pattern. At first he brushed it off as just nature doing it’s thing, but he began to see a silhouette form behind the boat. It was so incredibly large, he couldn’t tell what it was.
“Leon,” he began, watching as the shadow began to near the surface. “What the hell is that?” he asked, looking back to the blonde in hopes of answers. Leon furrowed his brows at Y/N, looking over the side of the boat to see what he was talking about.
“Jesus christ!” he yelled out, making a sharp turn. A giant eel looking creature had rose from the water, beginning to tower over the measly little boat menacingly. It was stark black, it’s mouth wide open, showing off its many rows of teeth. The sudden turn away from the creature had rocked the boat, along with the huge wave this giant sea monster had made.
Leon had been able to stay on, but the rocking was too much. Y/N had turned around in time to see the freakish animal, letting go of his seat in shock. The boat had tipped, knocking him over to the side. His hip had slammed against the edge of the boat, which had left him thrown over the edge of the vehicle. A large splash followed him as he fell head first into the water. It was cold. So, so cold. He had fallen far beneath the surface before processing what was going on. He didn’t know which way to swim, he had started to panic.
He opened his eyes, seeing bubbles lead up from his mouth to the surface. He started to follow them, but he could see in the corner of his eye the giant monster that had gotten fresh bait. His pushes through the water became much more urgent, reaching his hands higher and higher until they broke the layer of water he was submerged in. His head followed close after, taking in a deep breath before crying out Leon’s name. The boat was thankfully close to where he had fallen in.
Leon reached his hand for Y/N, grabbing onto his arm and pulling his hardest to get him out of the water. He was slipping, the water being to hard to keep a good hold on. He kept trying. The eel was getting closer. “Use your other arm!” called Leon, trying to get Y/N to grab onto the boat while he was thrashing his legs around. Y/N followed the order, his left hand slamming down on the wood. Leon had a much easier way to get him up with the new balance, and gave it another tug.
Leon had pulled Y/N back into the boat, rocking it back and forth. Just as Y/N had gotten back in, the monster slid past them. “Go!” yelled Y/N, keeping an eye for the water. Leon did just that, revving the boat back up and blasting it down the water. The monster was following close behind them, but still just far enough where it wouldn’t be able to get them. Both their hearts were hammering, trying to escape the grasp of death.
Soon enough they had done just that. They reached waters that were nowhere deep enough for the monster to continue chase, so they had a moment to catch their breath. Leon looked back to Y/N with a sympathetic gaze, seeing as he was completely soaked and shivering.
Y/N took steep and heavy breaths, looking down at his lap with a frown. “God.” he muttered under his breath. “It’s so cold.” he blurted, looking back up at Leon. Leon pursed his lips, remaining silent until they had reached the dock. He slowed it down to a stop once they had arrived at the post.
Leon swallowed hesitantly. He was debating on wether he should just be dismissive, or if he should go full out against his employer. Y/N was right, it’s not like anyone would find out about it. He might as well. He looked around for a short second before meeting eyes with Y/N. “We should probably find you a change of clothes. And, just take a breather.” he offered, standing up out of his seat.
Y/N squinted his eyes, a slight smile spreading across his face. “Take a breather? Never thought that Agent Leon S. Kennedy would turn into a slacker.” he joked, stepping out of the boat. Leon turned his head slightly, his fingers folding up into a fist as he continued to walk. “I’m just trying to help you out. If you wanna keep going, we can.” he replied. He knew how Y/N was going to answer, though.
“No,” Y/N muttered. “I wanna take a break. I’ve just never seen you stop a mission in it’s tracks. Fascinating.” Y/N jogged a little, just to catch up to Leon. “Where would I even find a change of clothes?” he questioned. Leon didn’t respond, instead pointing to the shack that was ahead of them.
It was this cute little wooden cabin, surrounded by trees and brush. It was completely secluded, giving them total privacy. “Look at that.” Y/N uttered, feeling beads of water drip down his body. Leon continued to lead the two until they had arrived at the door. It was propped open, swinging back and forth from the wind that was hitting it. Leon took a step in, giving it a quick look around.
It looked the same as all the other wooden houses in the village he had just been exploring. He walked into the kitchen with a small dining table, and then saw a doorway that led into the bedroom. That was the best bet. He walked through the kitchen and into the room, Y/N following behind him.
The bed was in the center of the room, a small vanity on the floor, broken. The closet and dresser were both against the same wall, which is where Y/N found himself looking. It was the same garbage that everyone in this hellscape was wearing, but he needed some new things to wear. He found something that was about his size and threw it onto the bed. Leon watched carefully as Y/N grabbed all of the new clothes he was going to put on. He faced away from Leon, looking at the half shattered mirror.
Leon looked Y/N up and down. He swallowed, seeing that Y/N had reached for the top of his shirt. He unbuttoned it slowly, the fabric creasing slowly until it had been brought apart. He slipped the shirt off of his arms and onto the floor, leaving his back completely exposed. Leon felt a little guilty, but he couldn’t take his eyes away. Y/N had little scars all over his back, and was surprisingly muscular. He always wore somewhat baggy clothes, at the very least nothing form fitting. Leon bit down on the inside of his cheek.
Y/N could feel eyes on him. He always had an innate sense when it came to states, and he felt it. He turned his head slightly, looking to Leon with a raised eyebrow. Leon’s face was slightly tinted pink, his eyes fluttering before locking with Y/N’s. “What?” Y/N asked, fully turning around, his chest facing Leon. Leon didn’t really know how to respond. He just shrugged, trying to dismiss it again.
“Nothing. Just zoning out.” he replied, his eyes drifting away from Y/N and to the window. Y/N rolled his eyes, letting out a soft laugh. “Yeah right.” he uttered, turning back around. He took a second to look around his body, checking to see if there was any injuries. And look at that, there was a big fat cut along the side of his rib cage. It didn’t sting, it just throbbed. He let out a short sigh. “God damn it.” he blurted.
Leon looked back to him. “What?” he asked, stepping towards him. Y/N ran his finger against the wound, trailing around the skin. He stepped back away from the mirror, now standing by Leon’s side. “Must’ve been sliced or something.” he mumbled, looking down to the right. Leon looked at the wound as well, and raising his hand up to it. “Shit.” he spat. It wasn’t very deep, but it still could get infected. That could be a pain.
“I can try to find something to fix it.” Leon offered, looking back up to Y/N’s face. Y/N shook his head, his hand dropping back down to the side and covering up the would. “It’s alright.” Y/N waved him off, pushing his hair back slightly. Leon continued to watch him.
“Seriously man, is there something wrong with me?” asked Y/N, looking down at Leon with a slight frown spreading across his face. Leon furrowed his brows. “No.” he replied. “Then why are you looking at me like that? Is there a giant bug on my face or something?” he asked, somewhat joking. He wasn’t uncomfortable with Leon staring at him, it was just the way he was doing it. Never had he seen Leon be completely locked onto something, especially a person.
Leon shook his head. “It’s nothing.” he answered. Y/N squinted at him, folding his arms over his chest. He shifted his hips to the right, almost touching against Leon’s. “You’re a bad liar, just tell me what’s wrong.” he started. “You’re a brooding government agent, you don’t ‘zone out.’”
Leon took in a sharp breath. He wasn’t a big fan of how testy Y/N was being. He didn’t want to keep lying, because obviously it wasn’t working, but he also didn’t want to tell the truth. He could get in huge trouble for it, and god knows what would happen if Y/N found out that Leon was checking him out. But then again, they were in a cabin, completely devoid of communication with others.
The longer Leon’s eyes lingered on Y/N’s face, the faster his heart ran. This staring contest went on for a good 5 seconds before either of them made a move. Leon was clearly harboring something, and Y/N could tell soon enough what it was. His face was still growing a deeper shade of pink, his eyes flickering around Y/N’s face frantically.
Y/N took another step closer to Leon, his arms once again falling back to his sides. Leon felt a pressure build up in his body, feeling how close Y/N was without touching. Leon was fighting so many battles against himself in his head, he really didn’t know what to do. He knew what he wanted to do, though. His breath started to become heavy, the silence becoming deafening. “You gonna answer me?” asked Y/N, raising a brow.
Leon swallowed again, his hands balling up into fists. He remained silent, giving the slightest head shake. Y/N let out a soft laugh through his nose. “Do you want me to do it?” he asked, his eyes locking onto Leon’s thin, pink lips. Leon felt his heart spike. He knew what was going to happen. It was out of his hands now, so he couldn’t get in trouble for it. He gave a nod.
Y/N smiled coyly. It wasn’t like Leon to be so meek, but he thought it was cute. He brought his hand up to the side of Leon’s face, thumb on the base of his jaw. The tension was killing Leon. Y/N’s hands were freezing, but the sudden warmth of Leon’s face had heated them up. It felt nice. Y/N didn’t waste much more time, with his go ahead, he had finally been able to do the thing he’s been aching to do for years now.
He leaned in, gently pressing his lips against Leon’s. His eyes fluttered closed along with the other man, beginning to move their mouths in sync. Leon let out a shaky breath, his hand planted down on Y/N’s waist. The two felt this odd feeling, something that they hadn’t experienced before. It might have been the tension of the situation, or the fact that this was so taboo, it didn’t matter that much. They both liked it, this sudden weight feeling like it had been lifted off their shoulders.
Leon’s hand moved slowly from Y/N’s waist to his back, trailing small circles on the skin. It was soothing. Y/N let out a small laugh into the kiss at the motion, his hips hurting forward out of slight shock. They were pressed against each other now, stomachs touching.
Leon was so warm, Y/N didn’t want to let go. It was better than wearing clothes, he just wanted to hold onto him. He loved the thought of always being with Leon, having him next to him. He brought up his hand and ran it through the back of the blondes hair, deepening the kiss by bringing his head closer. Y/N could feel his knees wobble a little bit.
This had gone on for a little while now, long enough that the two were completely out of breath. Y/N, however reluctantly, pulled away, a slight trail of spit leading from their mouths before it fell. Y/N laughed to himself softly, biting down on the side of his tongue. Leon’s face was red now, his cheeks being highlighted with the tint. Their chests heaved in unison as Y/N’s hand trailed down to Leon’s arm.
“I take it you feel the same way about me as I do with you, right?” asked Y/N, his small smile spreading back across his lips. Leon let out a small chuckle. He felt his head cloud with thoughts of nothing, only being able to look at the man in front of him.
He ducked his head down to the side. “Sure. Whatever you say.”

May I request a part 2? It took me a while cuz I had no idea how to continue but maybe this works:
After the reader fixed Leon up they go back to their constant bantering (maybe even more discussions or more angry beefing) because the reader still can’t quite comprehend what the hell just happened there. They go looking for Ashley and when they find her, they get attacked again. Reader sacrifices himself so they can make a run for it. Maybe change it so Ashley gets home safely but instead of fleeing with her, Leon goes back to save the reader.
Reader is brought back to the castle cuz they wanna use him for some kind of ritual (it’s so long ago that I played the game I'm sorry if the idea is not quite like in the game with the ritual stuff etc.) he manages to take down a few guards before he gets tied up and taken to the dungeon. If you’re comfortable with writing explicit torture scenes, you can add them. Maybe his back gets slit open, they beat him up, both his hands are chained over his head and he’s basically kneeling on the floor, shirtless because why notđŸ”„đŸ”„
He looks like shit and has a lot of wounds, like really a lot. Nosebleeds, cuts on his cheeks, bleeding on his forehead, cuts on his arms, bruises on his throat. He is on the rim of death and Leon never saw him in such a weak state. Reader always managed to at least save himself, or to flee when he seriously couldn’t handle it anymore (which rarely, almost never happened) but he couldn’t get out of this situation on his own. He couldn’t even walk alone and Leon has to get out of the castle with him which is really really hard since there are guards everywhere. Reader tells him to just leave him there to die but Leon definitely can’t do this.

Y/N breathed in the cool air. He shoved both of his hands into his jacket pockets as he looked back to Leon. The two were standing on a ledge made of wood against a tall mountain, looking over the lake to try and gage where Ashley could’ve run to. Leon’s eyes were squinted slightly. Y/N swallowed as he continued to stare, analyzing his face.
Something about Leon had shifted in his eyes. He didn’t know what it was, but there was a sort of comfort that had sparked between the two, something understood. They had never found common ground before. Leon’s eyes flickered up to Y/N’s, landing on each other.
“You wanna say something?” asked Leon.
Y/N paused. He blinked himself out of his haze, his had shaking ever-so-slightly. “Uh, what do you mean?” he asked, looking back ahead. Leon took in a sharp breath, also looking back to the lake. “Y’know,” he started, scratching the side of his nose. “About what happened.”
Y/N felt his stomach drop at the mention. He didn’t want to talk about it. He didn’t even register what happened. “No.” he stated, his throat feeling like it was about to close for good. Leon lifted a brow. He was a little confused, to be expected. He didn’t understand why, he was the one who initiated it after all. Maybe he was ashamed? He just didn’t know.
Leon brushed some of his hair away from his face, giving another glance to Y/N’s stoic gaze. “Why not?” he asked, folding his arms over his chest. Y/N hated that he was pushing on the subject, even though he knew that Leon would. He always, always, always needed a reason. “There’s nothing to talk about. Stuff happens.” Y/N shrugged, trying to dismiss it. Leon was starting to get a little frustrated. He knew that this wasn’t how Y/N actually felt, and he wanted to get an actual answer instead of Y/N avoiding it like the plaga.
“Y/N, come on.” Leon pleaded. “You had to have had a reason for doing that. Just tell me, I’m not judging you. I mean, I liked it. You must’ve liked it too.” He lifted his hands up in a show of support, trying to get something out of the man standing next to him. Y/N clenched his jaw, taking in a deep breath.
He looked down at Leon, pulling his gun out of his holster. “I told you to drop it, Leon.” he cocked the pistol, making a sharp turn back onto the path of wooden panels. “We have a job to do. Come on.” he stated cleanly, not waiting for any of Leon’s protests.
Leon let out a short groan before following behind him into a cave. It was dark, the only thing lighting the path was the flashlight that was planted on Y/N’s gun. You could hear droplets of water falling into puddles below them, echoing through the hall. Y/N led the way, trying to find his way through the rubble.
“Leon?” a voice echoed. Leon looked to Y/N, who looked just as confused as Leon did. They started to look around, not seeing anyone around them. Y/N raised his gun to his chest, waiting for another call to ring out.
“Down here!” the voice cried. The two looked down to their feet, where they could see Ashley hid under a pile of rubble a few feet away from them. In her hands she held Y/N’s combat knife safe, looking up to the two men with a half smile on her face. They were all relieved that they found her. “Thank god.” Y/N muttered quietly, stepping over to the small blonde with his hand held out.
Leon stayed put, observing. “Are you alright? No cuts, bruises?” Y/N asked, pulling her up out of the little crevice she had wiggled herself into. She shook her head, feeling somewhat prideful she had held her own so well. Y/N let a small grin spread across his face. “Good, that’s good.” He had helped her up onto her feet, where she gave a small ‘thank you.’
The three stood there for a small bit, all taking in a breath to relax themselves somewhat. But of course, the peace was soon interrupted. A call could be heard from the far exit of the cave.
“Ahí ellos estan!”
“Motherfucker.” muttered Y/N, pulling his shotgun off his back and setting it in his hands. He stepped in front of Leon and Ashley, his body tense. He didn’t think that this would be smart, but he needed to make sure that Ashley was gonna get out of there safe.
He turned around with a straight face. “I got it. Just get to the extraction point, I’ll meet you there.” he ordered, pointing to Leon with a brow perked up. Leon shook his head. “No, I’m not letting you do that.” he stepped forward, placing a hand on Y/N’s shoulder. Y/N furrowed his brow at the touch. Leon had never showed affection in any way, especially going as far as touching.
“Don’t fight me on this, please.” Y/N replied, not missing a beat. “Go. Go now, I got this.” he waved them off, seeing as the villagers began to approach. Leon swallowed, taking in a sharp breath. He looked back at Ashley, her face filled with concern and confusion. She needed to get out of here.
Reluctantly, he did what Y/N was asking for. He trusted Y/N. He barely ever got into actual trouble when it came to combat. He was a very good fighter, and he can hold himself. Leon trusted that he would be okay. He turned around, grabbing onto Ashley’s hand as they approached the other exit of the cave. “Don’t die on me!” yelled Leon, picking up his pace, Ashley following in his footsteps.
Y/N gave him a slight cocky smirk. “Kennedy, I wouldn’t dare.”
The last thing that Leon heard as they ran out was an exploding gunshot, ringing through the chamber of the cave. Leon and Ashley’s footsteps pounded down on the wood below them, hunting for a ladder to take them to a speedboat that was docked below them. Leon’s brain essentially went on autopilot, pushing things aside and carrying whatever until they had found the boat.
Ashley hopped in first, sitting herself down on one of the benches while Leon was in charge of the motor. The sun shined onto the lake, reflecting onto Leon’s face. Leon grabbed onto the wood pull, yanking it at full force until the engine had started to run. He let out a sigh of relief that there was still gas in the boat from when he was riding in it earlier.
Leon drove the boat away from the dock, leading it down the lake to where the extraction point was. Ashley looked to Leon with a glint of concern in her eye. “Is he gonna be okay?” she asked, leaning over slightly to look at the structure they had just ran from. Leon pursed his lips. “He’s a tough guy. He can take them.” he muttered.
Ashley nodded. It went quiet again, the only thing they could here was the low hum of the boat and the waves crashing against it. It was so calm. “Are you guys close?” she asked. “You seem to have a good back and forth.” She giggled quietly, a small smile spreading across her face. Leon let out of a short breath from his nose, sharing the same small smile.
“He hates me.” he replied. “But he
 He’s smart. He’s strong, and he can handle himself. That’s what you need to be in this line of work.” he continued, feeling a slight twinge of that fuzz forming in his chest again. Ashley narrowed her eyes a bit. She was trying to analyze Leon’s face, trying to figure out what tone he was speaking in. She had spotted a slight shade of pink spread across his cheeks. A smug grin spread across her face.
She folded one leg over the other. “Do you like him?” she asked. Leon furrowed his brows slightly, tilting his head to the right. “He gets on my nerves sometimes. But
 he saved my life. Many times. I kinda owe it to like him.” he explained, slowing the speed of the boat down as they neared the dock. Ashley nodded. “You should tell him that. Might lighten the tension.”
Leon stared back at her, staying silent for a short second. “Yeah, I probably should.”
The two got out of the boat, heading to the spot where Ashley would be taken to safety. They had rushed through a path they had sputtered, getting through the tall blades of grass and scruffy tree leaves until they had reached the location. Leon lifted his hand to the chip in his ear, pressing down on it. “Rooster, Condor One, do you read me?”
The phone held static until the voice from the other line replied. “Yes. Update on Baby Eagle?” asked the woman. Leon looked over to Ashley. “Safe and waiting at the extraction point.” he answered. “Good, and Venus?” she questioned. Leon furrowed his brows. Of course, it didn’t take too long before he put two and two together. Venus was Y/N. “On his way.”
“Good. We’re sending the chopper down now. Rooster out.”
The reception went dull. Leon looked up above him, heaving the sound of propellers whipping against the air. A large metal helicopter was floating above them, slowly lowering. Both Leon and Ashley backed up as it slowly came to a hover above the ground, whipping their blonde hair into a frenzy. Leon nodded at Ashley. “Go ahead.” he yelled out, trying to make his voice louder than the wind. Ashley seemed hesitant, but followed his instructions, walking into the helicopter, finding herself a seat and buckling herself in. Leon was about to follow, but his phone began to ring again. Two fingers against the chip, he picked up the phone.
“Condor One! Venus got captured!” Hunnigan shouted from the other side. Leon’s heart dropped.
“What?” he asked. He didn’t believe it. He promised that he was going to come back. He never got beat.
“We lost track of him! Best location we have is at the castle.” she breathed. “Don’t wait for him- We’re gonna send a rescue team. Just get on the helicopter and go!” she called.
Leon scoffed. He backed away from the helicopter. He was not in his right mind for thinking about what he was going to do, but it was for solidarity. He was not going to leave a man who saved him from near death to die. That’s just cruel. “No, don’t send the backup. I can save him.” he shouted over the wind.
Hunnigan sighed. “Leon, don’t! Just go!”
“Not a chance.” he uttered. He hung up the phone, taking it out of his ear and shoving it into his pocket. Ashley stared at him with a confused glance. Leon walked closer to the helicopter, yelling to both Ashley and the pilot. “Leave without me!” he shouted.
Ashley furrowed her brows. “What? No!” she yelled back. Leon shook his head. He motioned to the pilot and gave him the go-ahead. The pilot did as Leon instructed and began to lift the vehicle back up into the air. “Leon!” Ashley yelled. “Leon!!” she cried out. She continued to yell until Leon couldn’t even hear her anymore. He clenched his fists, turning back to the dark path. He was going to save Y/N, even if it was the last thing he would do.
A soft, empty sob ran throughout the room. Brick wall to brick wall, this was a chamber of pain that had been made Y/N’s home. Each whip, each wound, it was all because he took two away from their salvation.
The room was dark, leaking droplets of rain hitting the floor at random times, driving Y/N insane every time he heard it. The only light was a candle in the far corner of the room, It flickered on and off from time to time, lighting back up only when it was dire. Y/N’s consciousness was acting the same way.
On and off, back on for when a white blinding pain had washed over him. Weather it was boiling water or a slash to his face, he would wake up for a momentary moment of pain. His already scarred body was going to become much more crowded.
He had been kicked and bruised, stabbed and slashed, water boarded and shook back awake. The worst pain of them all was the drowning hopelessness that had washed over his body. He fought so hard. He tried so hard to kill them all, to protect the people he was made to save, but he failed. His failure was something that he couldn’t stand, because for a moment, he let himself be distracted. He let his guard down. If he had a second chance, he would never, ever let his guard down again.
He knew that this was it for him. It was sort of freeing in a way, knowing that he didn’t have to try anymore, but he was still upset. His cheeks were stained with tears, which stung the large gashes that were on his face. He couldn’t feel it anymore, though.
His entire body felt chilled. His shirt was taken off, along with his bulky jacket. He was freezing, and his blood continued to freeze and crack, and freeze and crack, making it even more painful to try and wiggle out. His arms were lifted above his head, ripping the skin on his wrists with the shackles. He was forced onto his knees, which had lost all feeling in them at this point. He didn’t have any energy left to cry out, to ask for help. He could see the key hung against the door leading out of the castle. He was so close, but it was just out of his reach. He was going to die here.
A creaking was heard at the door. Y/N let out a short mumble of nothing, preparing himself for more suffering. The small line of light almost filled the room, almost shining onto all of Y/N’s deep wounds. Y/N didn’t even try to lift his head, instead he let himself fade.
“Y/N?” asked the man at the door.
Leon made it. He pushed through so many guards, killed so many just to save Y/N.
“Y/N!” he shouted.
As the door closed behind him, Leon got a full look at what had happened to the man he was going to save. Coated head to toe, there was cuts, deep deep cuts, that lined all of his veins. Bruises covered all of his areas, mainly around the ribs and legs, making it clear he wouldn’t be able to move on his own. Burn marks and blisters lined his shoulders, still somewhat raw. His nose was bloodied, along with slashes across his face that led down to his neck. His neck was covered in ligature marks, completely darkened. It was a bleak sight to see.
Leon’s breath turned very frantic as his hands began to shake. Was he too late? Y/N wasn’t moving at all. He wasn’t responding to his calls. He had to wake him up.
Leon rushed up to Y/N and tried to get him to look up. He yelled his name over and over, progressively getting more concerned. But the one thing, the one shout that got Y/N to wake up was simple. “It’s me! It’s Leon!” He pounded on his chest, trying his hardest. Y/N’s hand twitched.
Y/N’s eyes slowly opened, flickering as they met with Leon. He didn’t have the energy to smile, all he could do was let out the most hollow, dull laugh. It was still his laugh, though. That’s all that mattered to Leon. “Leon?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. His vocal chords had been damaged from the strangling he went through earlier, making it hurt every time he dared to make a sound.
“Yeah, Yeah! It’s me, I’m gonna get you outta here, alright?” Leon asked, a smile returning back to his face. “I just gotta find a thing to break these chains.” Y/N breathed from his nose. “No, Leon. Don’t.” he muttered.
Y/N felt useless. Hopeless, dead. “I’ll just
” he trailed off, trying to fight off the urge to fall back asleep. “I’m not worth it. Please, just go.” he mumbled, looking back down towards the floor. Leon swallowed, shaking his head. He grabbed onto Y/N’s jaw, forcing their eyes to lock once again. Y/N’s we’re half lidded.
“No,” Leon rejected the idea. “No, Y/N. There have been so many times where you saved my ass, so I’m paying back the favor. We’re both gonna make it back in one piece.” he chanted, darting around the room, looking for the keys to unlock him. Y/N didn’t have the energy to protest. He just listened.
Leon hated it. He was so used to Y/N fighting back, the arguing. He missed it. He needed it, he needed to hear it. He needed to hear Y/N’s voice. It drove him to be better. If he abandoned him, what would be the point? He finally locked eyes with the keys on the back of the door. It was hung on a metal rod sticking out from the wooden door, which he was quick to grab.
Y/N’s body shivered. Leon looked him up and down. He knew it wasn’t the time, but this was the first time he had seen Y/N without any bulky gear on, he had to admit that it was impressive. But he was off task. He grabbed onto the shackles on Y/N’s wrists and jammed the key into them, turning them until they had fallen, swinging back and forth from the chain they were hooked too. Once both hands were free, Leon looked down to Y/N.
Y/N was a big guy. He was very bulky, and it would be a little difficult to carry, but Leon was always up for a challenge. “Leon, please.” Y/N mumbled, watching as the blonde hooked his arms underneath his back, bringing him up into his arms. Leon let out a small grunt, ignoring the plea and continuing on with his mission.
Y/N’s blood leaked onto Leon’s clothes, coating his blue compression shirt in maroon. Leon made sure to support the back of Y/N’s head as he walked back over to the door. “Stay awake for me, Y/N.” he ordered, looking down at Y/N. He didn’t reply.
Leon kicked the door open, his sight filled with men in black cloaks, all staring at him.
“You have got to be kidding me.” He uttered.
All he could do was run. He ran as fast as he could, the large corridor echoing back every single footstep. Shouts were heard from the men behind him, but he ignored them. All the needed to do was make sure that Y/N was safe. That’s all he needed. He continued to run, kicking up some of the carpets and getting scratched by some of their weapons. It had continued until he finally had reached the large doors that marked the entrance.
Since his hands were occupied, he pushed his back against the golden plated wood, bumping them open just enough that he and Y/N could slip through. He looked down at the man in his arms, double checking that Y/N was still awake. He was. Thank god.
He stumbled down the staircase, all the way down to the dock at the base of the grass. He looked behind him, there were many villagers chasing after him. He let out another angry breath from his nose before hopping his way to the edge of the dock. He jumped into the boat, setting Y/N down onto the seat next to him, coated in sand and dirt. It stung, but Y/N didn’t say anything. He was too tired.
Leon grabbed onto the wooden pull, grabbing onto it and throwing his entire body weight into pulling on it. The boat started, the loud engine almost stirring Y/N back awake. The boat was on, he grabbed onto the steering rod and pressed on the gas, leaving the castle and all those who resides beside it in the horizon.
And finally, there was peace.
Y/N leaned against Leon for stability, his head resting on the blondes shoulder. He stared into the sun. His wounds stopped hurting for a little bit as he felt Leon’s hand snake around his waist. He smiled.
“Leon.” Y/N said. “That was really stupid.” he chuckled softly, letting his eyes shut. Leon laughed along with him, finally feeling a sense of calm. “I know it was.” he replied, letting the boat slow down a little bit, almost to a stop. The sun finally let Y/N be a little warm. That’s all he wanted. Leon and the sun made him warm.
Leon looked at Y/N, his lips pursing into a smile. “I do like you, Y/N.” he started. “I like you a lot.” he blurted. “You make me want to be better at what I do. That’s impressive.” he laughed softly. Y/N felt a slight fuzz form in his stomach, just like butterflies. He never gets compliments. It was nice.
“I like you too, Leon.” Y/N uttered. “There’s a reason why I let you touch me.” he joked, looking at Leon with a perked eyebrow. Leon shook his head slightly. “Yeah? What’s that?” he asked. Y/N rolled his eyes softly. “The same reason I macked faces with you.” he laughed, rubbing his hands against his eyes. Leon furrowed his brows slightly. “I thought you did that because you were mad at me?”
Y/N scratched the side of his nose, trying to avoid a huge cut that was next to it. “I did. But I just
 I don’t know. I was so scared that if I told you I liked you like that you’d report me or something, so I just
” He trailed off, shaking himself awake again. “I pushed it down. I never thought of it, and to make sure I didn’t act on it I stayed away from you. And I made you stay away from me.”
Leon listened, planting his hand down on Y/N’s waist. “Huh.” he huffed. He didn’t really know what to say to that. It obviously was a shock to hear that, but what was he supposed to say? He didn’t know. He just let himself talk.
“Would you wanna be my partner?” asked Leon.
Y/N perked up. “Like boyfriend?” he questioned, slightly surprised at the sudden offer. Leon shook his head.
“No, no, not
” he paused. “I mean like, my assignment partner. We go on missions together.” he elaborated. “Like a package duo.”
Y/N thought about it. They did make a really, really good team. No matter how often they butt heads, they are efficient. Now that they didn’t feel the need to argue, they could be ruthless. He looked back to Leon with a a smile.
“Yeah, sure.” he nodded.
Leon grinned. “Cool.”
The two had gone quiet again. They stared at the sky together. It was a surprisingly romantic moment for the situation that had just occurred. It made Leon start to think it over again. He tilted his head back slightly, taking in a deep breath. “I wouldn’t mind being your boyfriend, too.”
Y/N shut his eyes, a small grin spreading across his lips. “Yeah. I wouldn’t mind that either.”
