I just see another parent who just doesn't want to parent their child and makes that everyone else's responsibility 🙄. You don't deserve to be a parent if you can't look after your child. They have parental controls on literally almost every app/site. USE THEM!

Verify, how? (I doubt it's the, are you over 18, yes it no?) Wouldn't that ALSO be collecting data from minors?

Also, I'm sure it would be requiring ALL users to verify their age... It's not sentient to be like "oh hey, hold up, kid. We need to verify your age."

Just...no. Just parent. I read the article, and I know that some parents don't want another responsibility...but that responsibility has been there. Talk to your kids, learn Internet safety with them, there are parental controls on devices...

KOSA/THE SCREEN ACT (RANT)

I can't believe that there are people on here defending KOSA/The Screen Act. This will NOT protect minors. Minors will instead find work arounds to this issue like they are in the UK rendering these laws ineffective. There are SO many other things that would actually help minors. Notice how they are NOT doing that though! I saw some people on here saying that when they were minors, they had jail broken iPhones and things like that they used as a work around to get access to certain content. This will also drive literal pedos into places labeled "minors only" if these laws are put into place. Since those sites/apps will be the only places for minors to go. People saying that this will protect minors are sheep and they don't see the grander picture it's NOT about "child safety". This is a trojan horse to steal data/erase internet anonymity if it wasn't obvious. Notice how many countries like the US, UK, etc. are on the brink or already in LITERAL tyranny/fascism and then they are trying or have implemented these laws. It seems VERY suspicious to me almost like they are trying to prevent us from having communities or anonymity so that we can't organize to fight back against them when the time comes. ⭐Listen it's not worth it. Glitch Productions (to my knowledge) hasn't said a single word about the YouTube AI policy change YET they have a huge platform on YouTube and a good majority of their fanbase are MINORS (You know the ones getting their accounts banned!) They could have at least said "Hey we will be streaming the new episode and the others on our official site because of the policy change". if they cared. Don't ruin your streak over a show it will ALWAYS be there. I love TADC too , but I am rethinking supporting them and other creators who didn't speak out on this important issue. You really should too! People with big platforms NEED to speak out on serious issues like this. I have heard from different platforms some people both adults and minors have already gotten kicked from their channels due to age verification. August 13 2025, we are saying goodbye/blacking out YouTube indefinitely. People in the US you NEED to join if you don't Google/YouTube is going to take that as a win. Then other companies will follow suit soon after and buckle! People in other countries feel free to join us. Internet privacy is a big issue for ALL of us. We should ALL be coming together on big issues like this. There are so many things other than YouTube that you can be doing with that time. I took the initiative and didn't go on YouTube in days once they announced this policy. People not fighting against this especially saying "Oh the blackout/boycott won't work or this will never happen to me I'm safe for now". If you are so addicted to YouTube where you have a problem leaving indefinitely until they repeal or have a problem going to a different platform for a while I think you seriously need help. You NEED to fight or other companies are going to buckle/think that this is ok and that we won't fight back. Make videos private, cancel your premium, use ad blockers, delete the app, keep pestering YouTube even after the update, hell delete your whole channel if you want! You guys NEED to be onboard. You NEED to be concerned! They are LITERALLY taking away your anonymity and privacy rights away! My days have been overall more productive ever since I got off YouTube, and I have been raising awareness on Tumblr instead. Guys, it got so much freaking worse. KOSA is bad, but SCREEN is even worse, somehow.
