unpopular opinions on marauders!

peter and sirius were never equals. it was always james and sirius, then remus, and lastly peter.

peter pettigrew is a lazily written character, and is often overlooked by the fandom. he is basically the reason why the whole harry potter story started yet people minimize his character to a coward. although i understand why he is oversimplified in the books, because they are mainly written for children who don't really get the multifaceted complexions of morally grey characters; i believe that we as the fandom should dive more deeply in his motives.

regulus is interesting cause rowling didn't have the chance to ruin his character.

i hate seeing sirius portrayed as a dumb womanizer, or reduced to his sexuality/romantic relationships only. it takes guts to stand up against your fucked up family and run away from them as a teen. he has so many interesting aspects to his personality and people usually choose to ignore it.

i love james and lily together but still lily is kinda wrong for marrying her literal best friends' bully.

a lot of us would be bullied by the marauders for being nerds.

portraying people as saints is boring. same goes for evil.

this is not a justification, but i understand why wormtail choose to be a traitor. a lot of us would too, for survival mainly.

the most powerful bond in the entire series is the one between sirius and james. then comes lily and severus.

we should have more diverse forms of art about the marauders

Sometimes I miss what the whole Harry Potter universe was to me. The feeling of returning to a kind of "home" once you've opened the books. The odd excitement of starting a movie marathon or finding some great new fanfiction to read. The hours spent on the Harry Potter Fanom Wiki reading through every post existing and learning about every single fact and background story. The conversations about favourite parts, theories and the own Hogwarts house. Complementing the merchandise from strangers on the street and sorting classmates into the four houses. And although the Harry Potter universe will always remain my favourite fandom, it was just a big part of my youth that is just over now.

i remember being 8 and reading harry potter books in my bed, i remember being 13 and starting my journey on hp fanfiction reading. i have been making harry potter related scenarios in my head to put myself to sleep for years!! i kid you not, i was in a serious traffic accident with my mom and during my stay at the hospital, i made my aunt read the order of the phoenix to me at night! im almost done with my teenage years now and I AM STILL in love with the series! this whole thing grew up with me and it is insanely touching lol.

after years of crushing on sirius black, as I started to write my own fanfics, i realized i was always a lupin girlie. i always thought of myself as a better fit for sirius but i was like naaah, i would choose remus in a heartbeat. now what does this say about me???
