It’s honestly exhausting to see people quote postcolonial theory to excuse literal terrorism.

While you talk about “pinkwashing,” let’s be clear: Hamas murders LGBTQ+ people in Gaza. That’s not academic — it’s documented. Queer Palestinians have fled to Israel because it's the only place in the region where they can survive.

Meanwhile, over 55 civilians — including queer Israelis — are being held hostage in tunnels for more than 600 days. Greta and others stay silent on that, but repost Hamas-aligned content without a second thought.

You don’t have to love everything Israel does — I don’t — but it is the only democracy in the Middle East.

It’s the only country in the region where:

LGBTQ+ rights are protected by law,

women have full political participation,

environmental protection is part of national policy,

medical research and access are among the best globally,

and people can protest their government without being murdered.

If your activism ignores hostages, anti-semitism, dismisses queer deaths and women having no rights in Gaza, and can’t recognize the difference between a democracy and a terror regime — it’s not activism. It’s propaganda.

But... About Greta? The one that was lawfully arrested trying to enter a war zone (throwing her iPhone to the water cause she's probably in contact with terrorist organisation)

and not about the 55 hostages who haven't seen daylight and were brutally kidnapped from their beds and a peace festival on October 7th.

If she actually wants to help the Palestinian people maybe she should advocate for the release of the hostages and then Israel will withdraw from Gaza AS PROMISED.

The black brothers

Aka part 2 of my pride HC's

Sirius at Pride:

He shows up in something he calls “subtly gay” which includes four visible piercings, leather pants, and a mesh crop top that says “GAY RAGE” in bedazzled letters. He loses his wand before he even makes it to the parade but insists he doesn’t need it anyway because “charisma is a weapon.”

He refuses to hold a sign because it’ll “clash with the look,” but spends the whole afternoon yelling “TRANS RIGHTS” until he goes hoarse. Someone offers him water. He throws confetti at them.

Wolfstar content:

Sirius spends exactly 40% of the day looking for Remus and 60% pretending he wasn’t looking. Remus is somewhere in the crowd wearing a cardigan over a “Protect Queer Werewolves” tank top and holding everyone’s snacks. They kiss once in public and Sirius nearly blacks out from happiness, then pretends it was “no big deal” for the next three hours.

Remus lets him have that one.

Regulus at Pride:

He arrives like he’s being forced at wandpoint: sunglasses, black button-up, iced coffee, and the energy of someone who will fight you if you make him speak above a whisper. His entire outfit is monochrome except for the tiny trans flag pin on his lapel that Sirius gave him and he “accidentally forgot” to remove.

He stands at the edge of everything and judges everyone for ten minutes before softening just slightly when a first year in a pink cape nervously compliments his boots. He tells them where he got them. He’s not a monster.

Jegulus content:

James keeps trying to drag him into things — dancing, photos, chaotic Gryffindor shouting circles. Regulus refuses all of it until James hands him a strawberry popsicle and says “I didn’t know if you’d want one but I got two just in case.”

He takes it without looking at him and says “that was stupid.”

James grins and says “you’re welcome.”

They hold hands for the next two hours and don’t talk about it.

Together

They do not arrive together. Sirius shows up in a whirlwind of noise and glitter. Regulus materializes like an annoyed bat. But they always find each other.

Sirius: “Didn’t know you still owned shirts with sleeves.”

Regulus: “Didn’t know you owned shirts at all.”

Mutual nod of respect.

They don’t say much directly. But Sirius always offers him the good snacks from Remus’s bag, and Regulus always casts silent cleaning charms when Sirius spills something on himself.

Remus and James pretend to mind their business but definitely whisper about it behind their backs.

Remus refers to them as “the twins of emotional repression.” James calls them “our boyfriends who would rather die than admit they’re soft.”

By the end of the day:

– Sirius is barefoot

– Regulus has glitter in his hair and is pretending he doesn’t know

– Remus is holding three jackets and a protest sign

– James is lying in the grass grinning like he just won something

“What if I’m too much?” followed immediately by “What if I’m not enough?”

Thinks a lot about the fact that he’s monstrous and marginalized, and how it’s not the same, but it overlaps in ways no one else really talks about.

Writes whole essays about being both queer and a werewolf, titles like: Monstrosity, Moonlight, and Men I Shouldn’t Miss.

✊ At Pride:

Shows up to Pride Month events like he’s just “there to help,” then gives a five-minute speech that has everyone crying.

Brings snacks. Water bottles. Extra glitter.

Volunteers at the “Questioning? Come Talk” booth because he remembers exactly how lonely it was, back when he thought he was the only one.

Wrote the GSA’s anti-discrimination policy from scratch.

Helped Regulus write his coming-out letter, even though he didn’t sign his name on it.

Brings pamphlets about queer health stats and hands them out aggressively.
