The number of renters who had trouble and didn't report it is telling, in my opinion. As I understand, it's the fear of rent going up to cover repair costs or "inflation" that usually causes people to not report anyone. Sometimes it's the fact that they're renting off of family or friends of family, as well. Lastly, I've heard folks worry about just how bad the house is and being homeless during repairs or due to being condemned...

Very scary times, and relocating is so expensive!

And here I was expecting someone to try getting my bank account because "they can't get gofundme to accept their donation."

This is pathetic behavior. I wouldn't suggest anyone dm/using asks to pander for their gofundme in general. Post about it, share updates, hold conversations if your braver than me...

I don't know how scammers get away with this & I hope the law catches up with them all soon!

It's very sobering to see how many are suffering so much worse than us. While my family is scared, we are healthy & relatively safe. I wish everyone in need will get the best that they deserve very soon!

It's been a few days since we let 3 of our kitties go to a new home... We're still heartbroken. We know they're safer at this small farm than where we are now or a shelter. It still hurts.

We've been house hunting nearly everyday for a few months. Unfortunately, the houses were finding are 1 out of our budget, 2 in desperate need of repair, or 3 just put under contract (meaning we found it too late and someone already bought it.)

We keep hoping for a miracle... or the housing market to pop! Please, help us by sharing our gofundme, donating what you can (even a dollar will help us with catfood,) and follow us on our journey.

I've adjusted the goal on our gofundme. Honestly, though, anything will help. Even if all we get is enough for catfood, that's money we don't have to spend.

I truly believe if everyone who saw this simply gave $1 and shared it, we'd surpass our goal in no time. I'd almost make a game out of it if I could!

Note: for some reason the gofundme page occasionally shows up in a different language. I've tried fixing it, but I'm not sure what's causing it. My description & updates are still in English, though... Sorry for any confusion.

Something extremely rare happened today. 3 of the cats just got a new home!

A nice couple who's kitty had passed away approached us. They live in the country with a barn and no traffic. Perfect for the 3 hunters to explore and play without getting hit or irritating neighbors!

As much as it broke our hearts to let them go, it's better for them to go to a couple who will fight for their love than a shelter. The 3 are siblings and love each other. I'm sure they will be happy.

We now have 6 cats. Hopefully, we can find our own home in the country to suit them! What we're finding is in extreme disrepair or extremely expensive. Please, any help would be appreciated. Donate what you can, share with anyone you know, and follow along with our journey.

Let 'em sit on the kitchen counters

Share my dishes with them

Take them on walks

Trim their claws

Bathe them regularly

Call myself a cat mom/sis in public

But then there are some crazy kitty habits I do have...

I purr back when they purr

I'll meow back when they mew

I'll talk to them like they're human

I'll hold 'em like a baby (who'll let me)

I'll encourage 'em during a hunt

I'll kiss their heads

I'll nuzzle my nose into their furr

Ooh! I love this. I'd been off tumblr for so long, I didn't know they started these. It reminds me of something similar that vidIQ did for youtube.

I think I like this better. Especially, since there's no need for a 3rd party to get it. Thank you @staff !

I'm on quotev... and I made my first quiz!

Honestly, I get it. The current audience on quotev is really young & that means the stories are less mature (in quality & rating.) I prefer it because I'm addicted to the quizzes 1st & the opportunities for great stories are 2nd. As someone else said, the writer/editor is great!

@quotev just needs to update the filter system to include a few more tags & trigger warnings.

Aren't fan artists getting discovered and jobs thanks to their work, as well? Yet fanfic writers are ignored so they don't influence the original creator's writing (so the og author isn't accused of stealing a fanfic's idea, I know.)

When will fanfic writers get the same opportunities that fan artists get?

breaking my silence we as a fandom (collective) need to have a quick meeting. now look, we love praising fan artists and giving them lots of love which, hey they deserve it cuz they’re amazing and incredible and talented and should be revered but!! i think we need to give an equated amount of love to fanfic writers. these mfs are a) putting their time and effort into A NON PROFIT PIECE OF MEDIA entirely for their and our benefit just because they want to b) going through life threatening situations to get their chapters out c) using their talents to feed our delusions and desires d) making OUR LITTLE DUMB HEADCANONS COME TO LIFE!! THEY MAKE IT HAPPEN!! THEY MAKE IT REAL!! i will literally forever be indebted to fanfic writers bc no matter if their work gets 10000 hits 10 hits or stays in their notes app they STILL!! WROTE IT!! still took the time to carefully craft and mend their masterpiece!! made someone’s day even if it was their own!!! the fact that some of them come up with LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF WORDS OF FIC feels kinda undermined to me??? like mf they DID THAT AND NO ONE ASKED THEM TO? (mean that positively) LIKE THEY JUST DID? not to mention the research and genuine care that goes into some fics I’ve seen. and the fact that some try to make their fics accessible by writing it so anyone who isn’t even in the fandom understands the story?? anyway. fanfic writers all around not just mutuals (tho i love u guys) truly, you’re amazing. kindergarten teacher voice everyone say thank you fanfic writers. <3333333333

I created a gofundme to help my family. TL DR we need to relocate & are financially struggling.

This is emotional & embarrassing but our backs are against the wall. I would love to fix all of our woes, but the most urgent is relocating. Unless we can buy the rental we're currently in which would give us time to relocate at our own convenience.

We were the unofficial cat rescue & trap fix release in our community. We have 9 cats that, 1 we love, 2 didn't like being released, 3 no one else wanted.

If we don't get some help (or a miracle) we will be forced to leave them in a no kill shelter. That's if we can find one with vacancies.

Our area is over run with stray & abandoned cats. Dad & I discussed starting a cat sanctuary/rescue, but that hinges on us getting moved to a spacious location fit for cats.
