Random Hazbin Hotel thought that won’t leave my head: I very much support and respect Alastor being a single Pringle for eternity (bc fuck romance when u can devour your enemies and gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss) but if he is going to fall (haha) for someone (so on accident, he wouldn’t see it coming, as it’s never happened before), I think it couldn’t be anyone less than the king of Hell

Note: I think I’d like to see this just so I can watch Vox make a fool of himself and Alastor be nonchalant as fuck to his face (tho we all know this will have been preceded by a trip to see Rosie 💗💗 bc Alastor would be like the shit is this, who, what, when, why, how are feelings)

Also Lucifer is just a sad rubber ducky and fanfic has made me realize it would be fabulous if he were the one to heal Alastor of his heavenly wound… and this eventually (oh a long eventually) leads to some weird ass partnership (of what nature? Lucifer himself doesn’t fucking know)

And… I mean even tho Lucifer was treated unfairly (in the context of Hazbin Hotel, I am not religion-ing here besties, plz keep that in your pants), he is hardcore condemned to Hell so meh why not let him be-friend? So I’m revisiting FinnPoe fics on ao3 and I’ve been once again struck by a) how much I love no.1 Stormpilot fan Oscar Isaac and b) how cheesed I am that Disney wimped out on giving us the queer ship we deserved (tho little shout out to Commander D’Acy 🥰🥰). I feel like I’m just cheesed because the sequels follow the plot line/tropes of the original trilogy in so many ways but then don’t give us this… like if you are not going to be original, at least be consistent. Like ok, a few things that are the same from the originals:

- a trio made up of a sullen Jedi, a cocky pilot, and a force-sensitive (future) general

- dramatic scene where one sees themselves in sith form (a dream) - Luke sees his face under Darth Daddy’s helmet and Rey sees sith hottie version of herself

- first ep. - loss of mentor/father figure at hands of “villain”

- it was palpatine all along🎶

Sorry I’m blanking, I haven’t watched the movies in a bit. But essentially the vibes between Rey, Finn and Poe are just so reminiscent of Luke, Leia and Han and it KILLS ME

- like Finn, like Leia, is buddies with both Rey/Luke and Poe/Han, meanwhile those two have some weird jealousy going on (reminiscent of Endor anyone?)

- Rey and Finn are like family… no they aren’t twins but like living embodiment of found family trope

Erg, this feels have fledged out because it’s been too long since I’ve seen the movies but watch me come back and edit this as I reimerse myself in the fandom.

But conclusion, Disney ur mean, Oscar Isaac, u are a sexy fucker and I have issues.

Ok so ao3 has fully convinced me Izzy is not dead at this point. Why you may ask. Let me enumerate.

1) Ed in the gravy basket. If Ed can survive a cannon ball to the head, Izzy can survive a shot to the gut. Izzy is a indestructible little fucker and he will dig himself out of that shallow ass dirt grave and scare the bejeezus out of Stede

2) Buttons sitting on his grave in seagull form. Buttons will screech his head off until someone comes and checks that shit out.

3) if Izzy does not emerge from this grave, he will show up as a fucking ghost giving wise advice and telling ppl to fuck off in stride

4) someone wrote a fic where the crew digs Izzy up and replaced him with a corpse (because yeah they’ve got those on hand) and bring Iz back to the ship to heal him and just yeah. Break that connection between Izzy and Ed, give Izzy a new start.

5) I also saw a fic where Izzy in ghost form talk to Al (trans masc Alma Bonnet) and did not know I would be so down for that but fuck yeah.

6) also at this point I am down to clown with Stede x Ed x Izzy. And man ppl are so talented at writing fanfic.

So…

What the everloving fuck was that. I just. I am devastated. Ok well I’m happy for Ed and Stede because of course I fucking am. But. What THE EVERLOVING FUCK.

Thoughts:

1- I refuse to let it sink in that a certain someone was gut stabbed and is now buried under a lovely cross (the unicorn leg, the scarf with the ring, get out stop). I will be anxiously awaiting the fanfic writers to fix this. Plz. I’m going to go on Ao3 immediately after I post this.

2- is that dream sequence of Stede’s actually foreshadowing? Because while Izzy does not die at his hand, Izzy dies due to Stede’s plan. Idk.

3- if Izzy doesn’t fucking haunt someone on the crew I’m done. He better show up like the Badmintons to call everyone cocksuckers or I sue.

4-Lucius and Pete got married and that brings me joy (in this pit of despair)

5- aw Ed. ED. I was cackling when he sucked at fishing and Pop pop was ready to fucking beat the shit out of him. Iconic. Also him just staring at the burning ships and being like “stede”. Stop. Also the I love you and the like I saw u do all that “cool” pirate stuff. And BABE. And THE LETTER.

6- Ed pt.2 IZZY AND ED. THAT SCENE STOP. While I don’t feel like Izzy should have died I think he was awesome this episode and definitely like came full character arc this season (the talk with our least favourite pirate wannabe and final words with Ed - I.e., Ed has so much family now. He can just be Ed)

7- Spanish Jackie being awesome and the bit about poison tolerance amongst the hubbies. I love her and the Swede and the Swede is finally getting some fucking respect and love and aw.

8- the seagull on Izzy’s grave. Hey buttons, love u

9- and the quad lives (shoutout to my lovely 4 Jim, Archie, Oluwande and Zheng Yi Sao). Also that moment between Zheng Yi and Auntie. Also Jim patching Auntie up.

10- ok gotta circle back to Izzy and the pirate wannabes chat and how much I love Izzy

11- how are we feeling about ep 8 Bonnet. I personally think he still needs some humbling. Idk because I’m happy about the progress he’s made re being made out to be a failure his whole life and coming to terms with that and becoming this more confident version of himself (I mean he had confidence from Day 1 but he was mighty plagued by all the Shit he went through in his youth). I enjoyed him “trying to protect” Zheng Yi when she wouldn’t run away when the navy because she was mighty fucked over losing Auntie and her crew (which my poor baby). Also I like Zheng Yi calling him out on his bullshit 24/7. But also idk I wanted him to like apologize or smtg because he was being a right dickhead the previous night. Also idk so happy Ed told Stede he loves him but like life’s a dick but so were u Stede… basically I love that Stede is unapologetically himself this season but also sometimes u do need to say ur sorry for being a dickhead.

12- the crew when Izzy died. The look on Jim’s face. Stop. I need to rewatch and look at Al their reactions but Jim’s caught my eye of the pain and sorrow because WE ALL LOVE IZZY NOW.

13- once again, Izzy better haunt someone or I sue

Ok I’m going to go try to not thing about the fact they killed Izzy now. What I don’t believe can’t hurt me or some shit.

So, recently I’ve been skimming Victorian flower meaning books and came across sow thistle/our lady’s thistle (Silybum marianum) in the Complete Language of Flowers by S. Theresa Dietz , and twas obviously, immediately, like well what if Aziraphale wore this and Crowley just went absolutely feral and Aziraphale was all concerned, like “my dear, what ever is the matter”, but like unbeknownst to him while this plant symbolizes physical love and has the potential power of harmony, strength, stability, independence, and tenacity (and so on, see below), it also has this history of causing nearby snakes to randomly start fighting when worn around the neck of a fine gent such as Zira.

Anyways, this is very random but I could not, not, share my inner thoughts. + any fanfic writers out there/readers, if a fic already exists with this trope/you want to write one, let me know/GO FOR IT MY LOVES.
