Watching DELIVER US FROM EVIL

Deliver me from this movie.

A lot of noise but very few scares. A horror movie that feels like it was written by that Bible thumper you try to avoid.

The literal preachiness would have been more palatable had it actually been scary. The devil you know would recommend another movie.

Watching THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MAGICAL NEGROES

The first 15 minutes of this comedy are as incisive as you'd hoped it would be when you saw the title.

Then it devolves into so much speechifying you'd think it's a Mike Flanagan Netflix series.

Again, the first 15 minutes contain 95% of the movie's laughs and then the next 90 minutes are _____-splained in a way that feels like a grade school instruction video about getting a long.

It's not subtle, and it's also not that funny. Solid premise, mid execution.

Being Asian, I don't have a Bagger Vance or the non-white cast of The Help to get me through life's choppy seas but I think I'll be alright.

Pretty sure there's no way you'd be able to do the Full Retard speech today.

Robert Downey Jr's best onscreen performance and makes you wonder how many more we've missed while RDJ was playing Metal Male.

Tom Cruise's prosthetic hands are actually taller he is.

One of the most quotable Comedies of the aughties "I'm a lead farmer motherfucker" and you'll never see an actor playing mental illness or any other disability for awards bait (Eddie Redmayne, cough) without thinking of this movie.

#Watching STRANGERS PREY AT NIGHT

Unnecessary sequel is light on actual scares but makes you question the logic on how these Strangers can appear whenever they want and kill whoever they want. Gory if you like that kind of thing...but other than that, nothing.

It's such a foregone conclusion that the Strangers will win that it saps any possible suspense. The kills are adequate if that's what you're into.

By the time you get to the laughable ending you've already lost...your time.
