made another little illustration for chapter 9 of A Second Chance! :)

(I'm still going through like the worst art block of all time lmao, so this once again is farrr from my best work - but not drawing at all is just going to make the block worse, so I guess hopefully someday soon my art block will be gone and I'll just redraw this!!)

also recently-bald Zuko looks SO weird lmao

oh yeah and outfits!! Suki's outfit is the Kyoshi Warrior outfit but without the plating - I didn't want her in full armour and facepaint, but I feel like the warriors probably wouldn't wear the same blue outfits as the rest of the Kyoshi Island citizens, so this was the compromise I decided on :)

Zuko, meanwhile, is wearing one of the outfits shown worn by the islanders, so that's why he's wearing blue but not in the Southern Water Tribe style!

I made this one specifically because this was actually a scene I really wanted to illustrate back in 2020. however I... just was not capable of adding this many people to a scene back then, so I gave up haha

but now I can! yippee!! ^^

this is actually a redraw of a drawing I made for the same fic, all the way back in 2020!

(which actually wasn't that bad of a base to go off of! although of course I did change the faces and hands a lot, and edited the crew members in the background to actually look somewhat like Zuko's canon crew too :))

...I think I'm going to remove all of the art I have embedded in my fics and just put links to the art in the end notes of whatever chapter it's on

I think I just feel like I get art block so often and my art style fluctuates so much that half the time I'm not proud of a piece of art I made like, a week ago. whereas I'm very proud of fanfics I wrote YEARS ago!! so a lot of the art on my fics feels very old now, and knowing that this is just going to keep happening, I'm just not going to keep it embedded anymore lol

(honestly, I actually feel like I just like writing better than art now? which is crazy because growing up art was my THING. but ever since I've started writing regularly, I've found myself being MUCH more happy and fulfilled by it than my drawing - I still WILL draw of course, but my focus has definitely been and will continue to be writing!!)

this isn’t my usual post, but it’s the one-year anniversary of Quotev (a social media site I used basically every day from the ages of 14-21) basically getting gutted, and I just want to write a little memorial

because I still miss the friends I met there and now barely speak to because no other social media site is the same; I miss being able to post my every thought and having my mutuals chat with me about it in the comments; I just miss the social media site that I grew up with, and that was ruined with zero user input by developers who don’t care about their patrons. it doesn’t make me as unbearably sad as it used to, but I still miss it every time I think about it too hard. goodbye, Quotev :(

why did I choose this drawing? because it's actually the very first thing I ever posted to this account!

I am so insanely proud of the progress I've made - I don't even draw that regularly tbh, but in my opinion I still managed to improve on basically every metric <333 can't wait to see how much has changed next year!!!

may have reread the transcript to MAG067 and gotten obsessed with Agnes Montague. I love her, she deserved so much better, and I am going to read 34875698 fanfics about her right now in order to pretend that she got it <3

Gerry+Jon+Sasha from an AU I've been dreaming up :)

aka from a fanfic I'm going to write probably as soon as I finish my current longfic haha. Gerry lives ofc, and life is good and everyone is friends and happy <3 (except for for Elias lmao) (also yes this is an exaggeration because there has to be SOME plot, but highkey it is going to mostly just be focused on developing friendships and that's it :) (Gerry and Jon are roommates. btw (I love them)))

Sasha isn't going to be a particularly prominent character compared to the other archival assistants, I just felt like drawing a third person and she was the first to come to mind!! (I've been wanting to draw her again for so long haha, I love her too <3)
